I don't know why I'm posting in this thread again. I guess it's because high school doesn't last forever... unless you're an idiot. Also because I ran into a girl I graduated with and hadn't seen since June '99. I got to tell her that I'm married with a kid, she got to tell me she was going on vacation. I guess it's true that what ever doesn't kill you leaves you in therapy-I mean makes you stronger!

Now that I'm re-reading this thread I'm realizing that I'm old and need a walker since my ten year reunion is in 4 years! Ah, high school. I still can't say I miss it even though a lot of the rumors about me were pretty funny. Example: When I was a Sophomore there was a rumor going around that I was a lesbian while at the exact same time there was one going around that I was trying to take some girl's boyfriend... Hmm, maybe neither one was true. Sometimes I guess I wished I was popular, but that was only because I had an after school job at a local grocery store with a guy that was popular and couldn't grasp the fact that after 2:15 PM school was out and the high school caste system didn't apply in the real world. Nope, some people are just so dumb that all that really exsists is their popularity and since he wouldn't leave me alone I went off on him and got fired. But like I said at the beginning, my ten year reunion is in 2009 and I now have a beautiful baby girl and I'm married so it's time to forget what happened.... Unless I run into that cheerleader who just wouldn't leave me the hell alone.

Wah! You guys suck! Especially anyone who's been to Europe! I so wanna go to Ireland it sounds like fun...except for the pollution part of it. A friend of mine went back in 2002 and she said it was pretty. Hmm....I wonder if I can top anything....nope. Well, I've been to New York City... Ok it was the Bronx and I was only there for a Yankee game, which they lost :animecry: but I've been to the house that Ruth Built. Oh I went to Canada a few times. The last time I was there was in 1994 during the strike, I drove by the Skydome and it was closed. I've also been there twice when it was open to two Yankee's Blue Jay's games. The Hard Rock Cafe there isn't too bad.... But I haven't been there since 1993, so don't believe anything I say. Ok gotta go, I just tried to cut my daughter's toe off so I have to stop the bleeding.

I thought this one up during my grueling trip to and from Texas...Western Ny to Ft. Hood and back...with a 6 month old...not my idea of fun, but then again, I'm not a sadomasicist so maybe one of you would have enjoyed it. Anyways back to the topic, where have you been? States cities, even countries would be nice. Give a description of what you liked about the places because that would just be interesting. Maybe even an emberassing moment or 3 because I know that's what I'm going to share. :animeswea I swear I'm only going to try and share interesting places and experiances. My favorite place ever has been Las Vegas Nevada since I'm a tourist and I have a shrine built to Sephora and there are two stores withing spitting distance on the main strip. The last time I went there I won ten bucks at the Las Vegas Hilton and got to talk to a Borg. Good times. I can't wait to go again. Second may have been Pheonix, Arizona. A friend of mine lives in one of the towns near there so when my mom went....Sorry ADD kicking in again. Pheonix is beautiful. A bit exspensive and there are huge contrasts between the haves and havenots but beautiful. The Zoo is really kick butt and they have a nice botanical gardens right next to it. Best emberassing story I have from a place I went through is from a town in Northern Tennessee. On my way back up with my husband and daughter I tried to help my husband find a bottle of V8 and ended up tripping over my daughter's carrier fell on my butt and made the carrier tip upside down. I freaked because I thought my daughter was hurt, but when we tipped the carrier right side up she was laughing. Ok, I'm not really sure where I'm going with this thread, but I thought it was a good idea. Maybe you should make it like a travel broucher when you talk about where you've been I guess. Just make it interesting.
There was also the Animal Lovin' Barbie who came with her own panda AND was ready for "safari and fashion fun". I know if I were to go on safari I would definitely wear a short pink mini-skirt and gold lamee! .
Panda! You forgot the pink combat boots! :animeswea I had that Barbie...I was especially fond of her pinkleopard print vest...I think, I was only seven or eight. I also remember the lovely matching leopardprint ruffles. I had a lot of Barbies, I had this one Barbie in middle school, ear piercing barbie or something. I remember that she had a hot pink pleather mini dress. My brother called her Hooker Barbie. :animesigh I don't really remember much else.I know I had this one barbie that came with this skirt that you could use as a purse. And you could make her necklace change color or something. And there was a beach fun barbie (the 1990 beach fun Barbie) who had this clip on hair piece that changed from blonde to pink somehow. Maybe it was cold weather because I remember that a friend and I played 'beach' in her backyard in the snow.... Of course I'm the same girl who decided that Barbie and Ken were fighting and she threw the refridgerator at him! Barbie was fun! No I never dreamed of being barbie, but I did help RainBow Bright and the Color Kids stage an attack on their compound.

I think it's alwful that she was allowed to starve to death. You can't even do that to an animal. But heck, do it to a human and it's considered allowing the person to die peacefully. I didn't know that she died this morning, I've been busy packing to drive up to New York tomorrow morning. I do feel bad that her parents lost their child, I think that they should have allowed her to die in a more humane state than what was allowed to happen. My God, allowing a person to starve to death?
BTW, the Psalms are part of the Old Testament, not New.
Sorry, I can't seem to remember everything I grew up with :animeshy:.But you're right.
I think Ken is a worse role-model than Barbie, all things considered. Ken has no job, no personality, no friends and no arm articulation. He's merely an accessory, with no more importance or personality that Barbie's inflatable loveseat.
Gotta agree with you there DB. Ken is nothing but a free loading leech! No job, no car, no
genetalia
and molded on underwear! No wonder Barbie dumped him for that Australian (?) guy in the regular Barbie and there is no Ken in the My Scene collection. Personally I like Barbie. But I wonder how the heck she manages to have all that free time since she's a doctor, a vet, a stewardess, a pilot, (how that can be done we'll never know) a gymnastics instructor, an ice skating instructor, a cheerleader, an arobics instructor, a ballet dancer, a fashion designer, a journalist.and Lady knows what else! Yet she manages to go to Malibu, Paris and everywhere else, go fig. I wouldn't mind being barbie since she has all those material possesions and a horse (which she doesn't ride correctly) but I guess the reason why she has all those jobs is because she has to pay for those things some how.
I've always noticed how girls are more willing to conform to things than boys. When you see little kids play, girls are always try to live out ideal lives or some type of drama, but boys always have wacky, far-out adventures with their toys. Think about it: Barbie versus Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles! .
You were obviously never around girls like me. Barbie was a suffle and my friends and I used to play with her in the snow (she was stranded in Antarctica w/ her bathing suit. Barbie vs Ninja Turtles? I think Barbie would win that one!
Cristians believe in the Torah, they believe that it was sent down by God.
I thought that it was the Jews who believed in the Torah and that the Christians were the ones who followed the NEw Testement with the gospels and the acts and the Psalms and so forth. At least that's how I learned it. I don't have enough time left on my computer card to read through 9 pages of replies so I'll just say this and then leave it at what I said: All religions believe that their holy books are from God. Except that the Bible was written by Saints who had been around Jesus and the Torah was written by the prophets who predated Him. I'm just going to say that no one religion is right and no one religion is wrong. Leave it at that and try to check my mail tomorrow.

What are you 'addicted' to?
ChibiHorsewoman replied to ChibiHorsewoman's topic in General Discussion
Is it safe to say that I'm addicted to the color purple, collecting cosmetics, and underwear? Ok, sorry, I guess all ya'll didn't need to know about the underwear! :animeswea Sorry! But I am addicted to Sephora and Victoria's secret. And I have to use purple when I write. Heck, when I get on post housing at Ft Drum in a few months I'm going to ask if I can paint one of the rooms purple since my bedroom back home is purple. I miss my room! I guess you could also say that I'm addicted to babbling on and on and on about everything. But yeah, I think I am! -
First of all please forgive the punctuation as I am currently 1.incapable of using the caps for extended periods and 2 not in ny. I'm too lazy to go and read thru 3 pages, not to mention I don't have that much time. But I really think that Terri's parents are being selfish and thoughtless about their daughter's life and wishes. No parent in their right mind would want to see their child in a vegatative state for 15 years and not wish for her to be in a better place than on a feeding tube in a hospital bed unable to move. I believe that the schivo's are just looking for some publicity for supporting their child's vegatative state for so long. It's cruel to let someone exist like that for so long. Ok, flame me! CHW, you are not exempt from our rules. Please take the extra time to punctuate your post properly. Everyone else manages. -Lore\ The shift key seriously didn't work last night, but I fixed it today. Sorry for all the trouble
Excellent phelosiphy, Sunfall. (Did I spell phelosiphy right? I hardly use the word when writing.). No one should be pressured to be in a religion. You do indeed make perfect sense to me.
(all problems shall be fixed upon my return to NY) The correct spelling is philosophy Anyways.my husband and I are Wiccan, but one of our friends and his wife belong to the Church Of Christ which is another section of CHristian beliefs. One of their most interesting rules is that you can't remarry if you just decide to divorce for no reason...or maybe it's just that you can't have sex with another person. I'll figure that one out later. :animeswea Also as far as I know Mormons don't practice polygamy anymore. I believe this practice ended when they were trying to get statehood for Utah. Although i have heard in the news that at times this practice is still in use...though not as wide spread as some people think.

Strangest song you've ever gotten stuck in your head
ChibiHorsewoman replied to ChibiHorsewoman's topic in Noosphere
Hey, look who took some time after nearly two weeks of absense to find a computer in TX and post! Anywho, at this current moment of typing on a crappy keyboard in the Copper Branch Public Library in Kileen TX i just have to say that (the shift key sucks!) No, the current song stuck in my head is Whistling in the dark by They Might Be Giants. And this key board sucks! -

Strangest song you've ever gotten stuck in your head
ChibiHorsewoman replied to ChibiHorsewoman's topic in Noosphere
Well, I now have to send WaterSprite some Llamas to sing this song to him because I sent the link to my mom who is singing it to my daughter and it's gonna get stuck in my head... Thanks a lot  -
I've gotten the llama song stuck in my head before. It gets stuck in your head very easily, even if ou don't like it.
Is it normal to hear that song and then think of Carl from Jimmy Nuetron? I hope so, because that's what I thouight of when I heard the song. I will now copy and paste the link and send it to my mom, who I love and wish to annoy! Oh and I know the song that gets on every body's nerves, but how I remember it the neding goes and it goes a little something like this boom boom boom begin again. I got the song about the tree in the hole and the hole in the ground stuck in my head. Then I created two more verses. Not only is the song even more annoying now, but if you sing it in the CVS on Lake and Flower City while you're waiting for your medication refil, it'll get done a lot faster! :animesmil -
If your going for power mind control beats all but id have to say that id want either flight or even better nightcrawler's ability of teleportation it just seems like so much fun except itd be nice if i didnt have to be blue with a tail and 3 fingers and toes etc to go with it
Not having
Mystique
for my mom would be another thing I'd want if I had teleportation skills....and i think I'd like having a tail. I'd just hang around scaring people and it would be fun.
Well since marriage is really stupid, and a waste, i say do what you want to. And what if you get married to someone that you really like but do not love, is it ok to cheat? Cause i can not love anyone, becasue i am me.
Well, I'm going through a bumpy part in my marriage right now, but I don't think it's stupid. Nor is it a waste. But I do think that more people in our generation are making it a waste because instead of sticking with it when things get tough they just bail out because it's getting 'too hard'. I think marriage is a commitment and a really major one at that whether or not it's a legally recognized on a piece of paper marriage or just between two people it doesn't matter. You made a promise infront of others and Divine whether your Divine is God or Goddess or both it doesn't matter. You made a promise and it's wrongto break a promise unless someone is 1.) beating you or your kids or 2.) cheating. Being married is hard work, it's even harder when the two of you are separated for long periods of time, have a child or more or everything rolled into one. Then if one or both of you hasn't had the benefit of seeing a productive and strong relationship work there is definately more of a chance of someone wanting to quit at the smallest sign of unrest. But you have to be stubborn and work through it to make a marriage work. On a lighter note, I think I've thought of sex even more than Death Bug...damn menstral cycle!

Anime Which animes should be on or put back on t.v.?
ChibiHorsewoman replied to graysky07's topic in Otaku Central
I want my Sailor Moon back! I don't care if it's badly dubbed and I have to hit the mute button every time...Okay brain fart, who did Serena's voice? I want to...oh Terri Hawk . :animeswea Yeah, every time Terri Hawke speaks and they show uber be yotchie Raye instead of Rei not using the honorfic on Usagi. Atleast Susan Roman did a somewhat believable Lita/SailorJupiter/Mako. I miss SailorMoon, such good times me and that anime. It was my first anime exsposure that I knew was anime. Ok it was badly dubbed anime and they gave Zoicite a sex change then Zoyed Fishy (aka Fish Eye) that could have been because the male fish Eye pulled a Nephrite and went
After a little boy in one of the SuperS episodes. He was in ChibiUsa's class.
so I can understand that. But it was kind of strange in that other episode where he ripped off his clothes :animeblus and exsposed his chest! :animestun And it was also kind of creepy what they did to HAruka and Michiru (aka, Amara and Michelle (ok, Michelle was cool, but why Amara? Alex would have been more believable in that one episode where Mina and Serena mistake her for a him)) 's relationship. YEah, cousins...ok, maybe the audience in the south believed it, but not me. So please, bring back SailorMoon, I'll even put up with Molly's odd Brooklyn accent and the three different names of Tellulu's plant in the episode where
Hotaru tries to go see chibiusa then Kaori takes her
CWi had her calling it Tellu, heart snatcher and Tellurun (or something, I haven't seen the episode in over a year. But my God! They even gave Andrew and Lizzie ( Matoki and Unazuki) a brother named Paul and gave Michiru (michelle) a boyfriend...I wonder if Naoko knew Kaiou san was a bisexual instead of just a plain lesbian. But yeah, I'll put up with that. If they bring it back. Of course if I win Mega millions I'll just buy the rights and translate it myself :catgirl: -
I don't know why I just thought of this but: When I become an old lady with gray hair, I'm going to dye my hair pink. The same shade of pink as Utena, ChibiUsa, ChibiChibi and Tickled Pink from RainBow Bright. I don't know if that will emberass my kids or grandkids, but I don't really believe I'll care. Since I'll be an old lady. And children should respect their elders. :p But for now I will keep my mid length layered hair deep red and sedate. That way I have a better chance of being hired for a job

5 Most under rated and over rated bands or artists
ChibiHorsewoman replied to ChibiHorsewoman's topic in Noosphere
I hate Ashley simpson. If it wasn't for her sister, who can actually hit a note..i'm sure everyone would see her as the nobody she really is. What annoys me the most, is the fact that she thinks she's "punk" lol. She wears a stupid punk tee, plays on a skating game in one of her retarded videos, and whadda know.. shes PUNK! haha, what an idiot!
Ashlee Simpson is punk??? :eep: When did that happen? Of course, I have no idea what EMO means so maybe that's when Ashlee became punk. I'm not sure what else to say. Overrrated 1.) GArth Brooks-An overweight man running around on stage in a cowboy hat. Need I say more? 2.) Lindsay Lohan-Stick to acting please 3.) Hillary and Hailey Duff- Just run off please, you're both 'So Yesturday' 4.) Kenny Chesney- Ok, I like some off his songs, but the one about kicking everyone's butt being the American way. Just what we need another red neck out to impose the US on the rest of the world. In the words of a t-shirt:
F.U. K.C.
5.) Evenescence- Yeah, I guess Amy Lee is hot :animeswea and she can sing (I liked her duet with her boyfriend from Seether when they did Broken) but they haven't come out with a new album in a few years. underrated 1.) Country music- No real reason, I just like country music 2.) An army guy I know- He does have talent 3.) My cousin's band- They're underrated because no one has heard of them and good because I said so. 4.) Me- Well, I sing in the shower and no one has heard me sing so I'm underrated 5.) They Might Be Giants- They friggin' rock -
You know what power has never been thought of? The power to have a short painless labor! Seriously folks. The beginning of labor (AKA giving birth) is extremely boring and can last for a few DAYS. Then it gets really painful And epidurals, although one of the greatest inventions known to women, do have some serious side effects. So yeah, the power to have a quick painless labor would be great. It would also be nice if it came with the ability to lose your pregnancy weight plus an additional 30 pounds would be nice too. Or the ability to make men give birth
[B']I hate what happens to Kagura. I liked her a lot and I really wanted her to be with Sesshoumaru. In my heart she'll always be with Sesshomaru. Besides, that's why fanfics exist. :animesmil

I think this may count as a poser problem, my 53 year old mother-in-law thinks she's a biker. Not only that but she wears clothes that are about 16-20 years too young for her just because she thinks she looks good in them, but back to the biker thing. She has this God awful mid length black leather jacket (it ends like 2 inches above her natural waist) with a buckle on the bottom and this big Harley Davidson patch on the back of it. She insists on wearing it everywhere she goes. If someone asks her nicely not to wear it she says she has to wear it and if you tell her that she's not a biker she gets all snippy and says 'Excuse me I am a biker. Combine that jacket with what ever she decides to buy from 5-7-9 or another junior department store and well, it's rather scary. My mother-in-law is an emberassment to herself and her kids and me and well, anyone who might be around her. But she cares about her granddaughter...maybe because she never had a girl. But that's why I can only spend so much time with the woman.

The only two decent reality shows on TV are Queer Eye for the Straight guy and Extreme Makeover Home edition. The first because it's just really funny to watch these poor unsuspecting people try to cook and the second is because they're helping people out who need it. I'm just waiting for someone to come out with a reality show called: Who wants to marry my real survivor made over bachlor(ette) parent? Catchy title huh?
