1.
Ahh, another useless...errr..."fun" thread by cheebs .
You know that saying your parents used to tell you about how if you can't say something nice don't say nothin' at all? Maybe you should try that instead of trying to make yourself look cool by making snide remarks over the internet. I would definately like to be a daycare teacher. I like kids. I even have one of my own
 2. I see that we already have a thread about things that we've recieved from other people, but what about what you gave to people? After all, this is the season of giving things, not just the finger either...long story involving a woman who ran a stop sign on Thursday and my short temper. :D I'll go first to get it all started. Mom: A nice Sapphire Blue sweater. Black dress pants, black boots with a 3 inch heel so now she's about my height. And an I Love Lucy calandar. Dad: Grandpa sweatshirt, Deer hunting sweatshirt, jeans, and sneakers. Brother: I got it for him before the whole incident Alexander Rodrigus calandar. Lincoln: HotTopic gift card, Aria #3 Gunslinger Girl manga, HEavy metal Magazine, A/P. Maxim, Maxim Blender and Bass Guitar Magazine, Kool Aid, hot chocolate and a crap load of edible food. Abby: A prett black velvet dress with fabric flowers to go see daddy in in March and some more stockings Becky: Becky's my best friend I got her a plum colored turtleneck sweater and a little Barbie doll that's a friend of her little sister Kelly who's name was Becky. Alicia: Becky's daughter got some clothes from me. A velvet sweat suit that has Cutie stitched across the jacket, a sweater and some fleece lined jeans. I got my aunt Marty a bright green pair of PJ's with Bingo boards, my aunt Kathy got a pair of green and blue plaid Pj's from me. I got my Uncle Dave a Barnes and Noble Gift Card, the same for my Mama, and my cousin Michael got a Light blue Sweat shirt from me...XXL since his clothing style is the one with the clothes that can house the homeless. Oh, I bought my papa a Buffalo Bills Fleece blanket. Oh almost forgot, I bought my mother-in-law a sweater and a bra...not that she needed a bra. Megan; Lincoln's cousin, A shirt, a skirt, some shoes, and a Hello Kitty purse I got Megan's mom a Husky calandar, her sister Ashley a shirt and her brother two board games.
 3. I got to open my daughter's presents as well, she got Chicken Dance Elmo, some crib stuff some clothes, and a horse puppet that neighs Camptown Races, Home on the Range, and the first verse of Old MacDonald. The Elmo and the horse are annoying, but it's fun to watch the animals with the Elmo toy. As for myself...I won $38.00 on lotto tickets, I have two new pairs of PJ's, some long underwear, Bratz slipper socks, an upright cupboard for some more junk in my room, a new Jacket for riding, a new DVD player since my old one was becoming evil and a new pillow. Then I got some more cash ($148.). Lincoln's cousin's mother (I have to type that because she's not his aunt-long story) gave me a paper weight with a horse on it. Really pretty. EditI almost forgot that Becky got me my favorite gift this year (last year's only got here in September) a purple shirt that says: Always Naughty Never Nice in white letters. I should poke myself for forgetting that. I have a new worst gift ever too, my grandma gave me a letter about how to raise children when you're a frazzled parent. It even has stupid things about kids with physical and mental dissabilities. She got it from Focus on the Family if that explains anything.
 4. What do you mean he doesn't exist? Oh crap...it's Christmas day and I've been waiting for some non existant guy in a red suit to do my shoping for me? Well, i guess I'm screwed now. Actually, I stopped believing in Santa when I was 7 and he didn't bring me the horse I asked for, talk about crushing a child's spirit. :bawl:
 5.
Just three movies! That's madness, I tell you! :P But here goes...
Hey, what can I say? I'm, a very very evil person. Merry Federal Holiday where you get presents :D It wasn't too easy for me either
American History X[/b']
I saw that movie and I think I still have the DVD with me. I felt that it was very well written and well acted out. However, it's not my genre, it's my husband's and the ending made me cry. Why? Because I think that that boy was actually going to try and turn his life around after his brother had the talk with him, but then he
got gunned down because of what he did the day before
. I guess that must be to show that in real life there aren't always happy endings. Honestly I had trouble watching the whole movie.
That shower scene after the guy's brother was bonding with the black guy he worked laundry with was really something brutal...so was the scene where his brother slammed the guy's face into the curb

 6.
Canadian! Whoooooh! Hey you live in the same province as me too! No one knows winter like we do! Except maybe Alaskans.... and Russians... and...penguins?
You forgot New Yorkers (especially the ones who live in the Catskill mountains and around Ft. Drum which is where the Army does cold weather training and us Western New Yorkers), People in Colorado, Those people in INdiana who were stuck in their vehicles for 3 days and oh I don't know Midwesteners and The Swedish. It snowed about a foot here Wednesday, then it melted on Thursday. today it's cold out, but no snow. Go figure.
 7. Don't be a Turkey, wear sun block... This message has been brought to you by the fine peopel at Coppertone
 8.
We heard about the suicide bombers enough times Zeta. I fail to understand why you continuously bring it up. If you haven't noticed already, there haven't been any suicide bombings for quite a while now.
Well, unless you count the insurgents who suicide bombed a funeral. But that's just a bad example of a religious group. They shouldn't be held up as an example of the religion as a whole. There are pleanty of good Muslims, you're Muslim and you're not a bad person. It's just the select stupid few who ruin it for everyone.
Oh God, this is EXACTLY what I'm talking about when I say the media show Islam in a negative light. Finding some stupid things some idiot thinks and using it to degrade the image of Islam.
Yes, but as I also pointed out it's done by people who missinterpret the Koran. Just like all those suicide bombers and the Taliban regeme (SP?) That's why more people should learn to look beyond what they see in the media and educate themselves. I know that not all Muslims hold women accountable for rape. Hell, if it's any consolation there are still American WOMEN who think that if a woman is raped she asked for it. I was never using it to degrade Islam. I think everyone should educate themselves about what they don't understand. Maybe if they read a bit more they'd learn that Muslim women are actually in charge of finacial descisions inside the home.
 9.
No snow here. Phoenix Arizona, the desert. Although, I used to live in upstate New Yourk, got about 7 feet of snow one year .
You must have lived in Buffalo then...I remember that it was back in 2001. Buffalo received 7 feet of snow Christmas eve/day and Rochester didn't get any and I-90 West (the interstate) was closed. As for snow stuff, I like sledding alothough I haven't been in a few years. I also still go outside and build snow people the more PC version of snowmen. Yes, i'm 23 years old and I play in the snow, I wonder if there's a support group for that. It's snowed here off and on in my little courner of Western NY, but nothing to write home about. I called my friend in Pheonix today and told her it was 4 degrees her though and she laughed at me. That reminds me that I should email her.
 10. Wee! I'm lovin' this! As far as I know Islam is supposed to be a peaceful religion, the name basically means peace. It's just the minority of extremists-like in any other religion- that make the majority of normal every day practicioners look bad. As for the rapes, I know that's bad. But Rape is used as a form of control and it's those incidents that make all American soldiers look bad. My husband and the majority of his friends are in the first Cav division out of Ft. Hood Texas and I know for a fact that Lincoln isn't out there dragging some poor woman out of her home at night and violating her. You want to talk about rape though, and I'm not one to go around pointing fingers, but isn't it your people who consider rape to be the woman's fault and institute honor killings? I know it's not your religion but a gross negligence of interpreting the Koran, but you want to talk barbaric look at blaming women for being raped as well. The whole Isreal/Palestine fiasco I think has a very easy solution, just give the Palestinians their own state like the Isralies have. It's sad that just because of religious differences innocent people have to be killed. With that said I'm going to withdraw from this thread hoping that I made some sense.
 11.
Everyone is born free of sin, and their good and bad deeds determine wether they go to hell or heaven in addition to their belief in God.
I read something about that, in some ways Islam reminds me of Wicca. Except that your deeds determine how your next life will be instead of if you go to heaven or hell. Also I heard that children are considered sinless entirely until they reach puberty. That's kind of like the Wiccan belief that children have perfect love and perfect trust and why they're allowed to move freely in and out of circle during ritual. I also read that before you're born your good and bad deeds are predetermined. However, if you are supposed to do a bad deed and do a good deed instead that good deed counts as 10 good deeds. But if you're supposed to do a good deed and do a bad deed that bad deed only counts as one bad deed. Correct me if I'm wrong on anything that I said, it's been a while since I read that book (The complete idiots Guide to Islam.) I really admire your wearing the hajib and fully covering yourself (I read about that in the clothing post)It would drive me crazy.
 12.
I don't attend church because I no longer believe in anything they preach. Sad, yes.
I don't believe that you need a building to practice your religion in or to be around a large number of people. After all didn't Jesus say: When two or thre are gathered in my name, there am I in their midst? Hey, I haven't read it in a while. My point is that all you really need to do to practice your relgion is to pick out what you enjoyed about the religion and practice that. Focus on the parts that meant something to you like helping those in need. In wicca 1 I learned that the highest calling of that religion is to serve others. I believe that should be considered the highest calling in all relgions and you don't need a newly renovated church to do that.
 13.
Homosexuality doesn't harm anyone. :p
It sure hasn't harmed me yet and I've been taught by homosexuals, worked with homosexuals been friends with homosexuals have homosexuals in my naighborhood and have them in my family. I think my child would come to more harm being exposed to my mother-in-law than being exposed to homosexuals. About the cousin thing tho, I think it's one of those stigma things that I don't quite know how to explain. I've read about it in one of my magazines a few montyhs ago about some woman who married her cousin and her family was mad at them...the article was probably called What happens when Mr. Wrong happens to be Mr. Right for a reason. Of course that was first cousins...there's less of a stigma with people marrying their 2nd or third cousin Personally I think same sex marriages would help out the economy in the long run because there would be more people registering for more wedding gifts and buying Vera Wang wedding gowns and such. And Baron's correct that homosexuality hasn't harmed anyone except maybe right wing extremists.
 14. *notices that Dagger's post looks like a censored letter* Speaking of funny episodes, what did you think about the one where
Zoisite is chasing that cat who is the last holder of a rainbow crystal through the sewers and he's feeling along the walls and suddenly they get fuzzy. Some how there's a light and Zoisite realizes that the fuzzy walls are a bunch of rats.
You know when you think about it those seven episodes in the first season were a great way to learn about rainbows and prisms. Just wait until you get to the second half of R and CHibiUsa arrives.
You want to talk about incestrous behaivior ther's your character

 15.
*thinks back* I think the most recent one was where ChibiHorseWoman was trying to get me back for saying something about Wiccanism, and lo-and-behold, she starts using Christianity in her hypothetical example.[/SIZE']
When was this? Send me a link since I really don't remember this happening and I have a pretty good memory. Anyways..I'm a new Wiccan. I even took a Wicca 1 class and passed the test with a pretty decent score..I messed up on the cordinates for the Wheel of the Year. I think I'll wait a while to enroll in wicca 2. I used to be Catholic. I was Catholic for 21 years. But I started to wane a few years back (before I even met Lincoln) when this priest at one of the city Churches was doing things he felt were right like helping out the poor, getting his parishoners (my maternal grandparents included) involved more in the community and prosiding over gay marriages and then the priests in the other churches began acting overly sanctimonious and asking during general prayer for Father...I forgot his name to see the light and the error of his ways. Needless to say I wasn't too impressed with the hypocrisy surrounding those priests and deacons. Neither was my mom, but she's always been a Catholic/Christian what have you so she still practices. And yes I do know that not all Christians are hypocrites. There's good and bad in every religion and judge not lest ye be judged is something to live by. Along with and it harm none do what ye will.
 16. I think this thread is very interesting. I'm in the 21-25 range...I'm 23 and will be 24 in July on the 24th heh. I'm one of the older (albeit not around the oldest obers I think and I started on here last year...oh look I rhymed. Of course, I not only watch anime, I watch 80's cartoons and some other American cartoons. I guess I'm just a kid at heart. I even bought a my scene Barbie last week. Hey it was Nolee with the Sephora stuff! [Edit-On a side note, I'm going to mail Panda a walker and a motorized scooter for Christmas.
 17. I wouldn't think too much of it at the moment, I bake for everyone too. And I have a friend who called everyone hun...including my husband. But if Jill's actions make you uneasy, you should tell her in a nice way. Just tell her that you're glad that she's such an out going caring person, but you have this thing about your personal space. Or something along those lines. Just don't sound conceited about how you think she has a crush on you...that could make her mad. And if you tell her the way I mentioned, even if she does have a crush on you, the touching will stop
 18.
The point has been raised quite a few times in these threads, about Homosexual marriage being the gateway to other marriages, say, to an animal or a cousin. Detractors of this argument say that it is a totally different thing, and it's immoral and sickening. No-one seems to agree with the prospect of marrying an animal, or cousin, for obvious reasons. Yet, take a step back here, isn't this what was said about Homosexuality? Homosexuality was considered evil, immoral and sick, just like bestiality or incest is now, yet, it grew to become more widely accepted through tolerance and understanding. I'm not condemning here, I just want to know how you can be sure that this won't in fact open some sort of doorway that will lead to sexual practices of other, more questionable kinds being accepted, give or take about 50 years or so. I mean, if the pattern of acceptance begins for such things, will it not fulfil it's due course?
First of all I'm suprized that this thread has lasted so long-way to go Miryoku. Now, on the subject of Homosexual marriage vs marrying your cousin or your dog (for an example) There's a few factors for why a normal sane person would noit consider marrying their first cousin or dog. There are pleanty of states where marriage between third cousins in completely fine and doesn't result in deformed children like a marriage between siblings or first cousins would. Which would probably be one of the reasons people will never condone marrying of first cousins. That isn't to say that something liek that hasn't happened. I read about it. However most people know that inbreeding like that hurts the offspring. Which is why I don't think the practice will be condoned as much as people seem to think. As for marrying an animal, I think that one is pretty much a no brainer. In fact I won't even grace that one with a reply I don't see where there would be much of a downfall in marriages (good strong marriages) If homosexual couples were suddenly allowed marriage rights like heterosexual couples. After all, couples in Hollywood have been getting married for a few days or hours or at the very most years, and then getting divorced because they had a few bumps and nobody's forbidden people to get married while drunk or bored have they? If you ask me I think Brittany Spears marrying a childhood friend just because she was bored is a lot more damaging to the sanctity of marriage than my husband's aunt and her lover getting married. That's all I have to add on the subject for right now. I'm going to go start and abortion thread.
 19.
Frist you have some spelling worng is koaga not koga .
So says the girl who spelled 'wrong' wrong...oh and first. Since the names are originally written in Kanji there is no set romanji spelling..., which is why Koga can also be Kouga, Shippo can be Shippou and Tenou Haruka can be Ten'ou Haruka ect ect. Oh, and I can't stand Koga either, he's so damn arrogant and makes fun of InuYasha being a half demon yet he ran away from Naraku and got his butt handed to him by Kagura.
 20.
I wonder how long we get an abortion thread and the people "for" the death penalty are suddenly "against" abortion.
Thanks Drix, I'll get right on that! =D But I still say a firing squad is the way to go. And they can go back to what they did before the electric chair and equip every shooter but one with a blank cartidge so nobody knows who's going to kill the guy. And the reason Manson is still on death row is because the courts keep allowing the guy to appeal his case.
 21. I'm glad Scott Peterson is getting the Death Penalty. However due to many legal proceedings in California the guy is more likely to die due to natural causes than a lethal injection, which coincidentally leads me to my next rant about the death penalty. With a lethal injection Peterson is basically getting a shot that's gonna kill him. It won't even give him an agonizing painful death. It won't hurt him any more than if he went and got a vaccination at the doctor's office. I know this is going to sound bad and maybe a bit immature, but I think they should bring back the firing squade and hanging. Think about it, all it would cost is bullets and some rope. Laci's family could be the first to go through with the firing squade option since I think that the victim's families should have an opportunity to take the person's life since that's what he did to a member of their family. A murderer shouldn't be allowed to get off so eaily with just a needle in the arm. Someone with a sick mind needs to get involved in the justice system and think up some really agonizing ways to die...like stripping someone naked, smearing them with honey and leaving them on an ant hill...yeah that would work. Either that, or instead of complete solitary confinement, Scott can go live with my mother-in-law. It's a punishment Lincoln and are are thinking up for my brother and I doubt she owns any sharp knives.
 22. Are we discussing homosexuality or vegatarianism? I'm too lazy to wade through 9 pages of debate so I'll just say this: Yes, the Bible says that homosexuality is wrong, but it also says that having relations with a woman during her period is wrong and so is wearing clothes made with more than one fabric. The Bible says that you can beat your children or sell them for slaves. But the Bible also has a lot of things to say about how you should love your neighbor, how God loves everyone and that Jesus told a crown of people once: Let he who is without sin cast the first stone. The Bible has a lot more to say about love than hate so maybe those who subscribe to a Judeo Christian tradition and read their Bibles should skip over the part about how God hates everyone and read more about love. Other than that I don't have much else to add and I'll let people debate as they wish.
 23.
About 95% of my jeans are the following brands: Diesel D&G.
Holy ****! Diesel and Dolce & Gabbana? I don't know how much D&G pants or Jeans usually are, but Diesel jeans usually run to about $115 a pair or more...I looked at them once in Ceasare's Palace at Las Vegas. I don't pay too much for my clothes, I recently bought a skirt at Deb (nice black and hot pink plaid skirt) for $5. It'll look nice with my hot pink fish net tights and a black turtle neck sweater I plan on buying Friday, unless I find my white long sleeve t-shirt with lace on the edge that I got for $7.50. I spend a lot on make up and other fun stuff tho. I just bought my first tube of Lorac mascara which cost more than my skirt and shirt put together. I also like to pair up things like my Victoria's secret camisoles with boot cut jeans and either a jean jacket or Lincoln's leather jacket. I call my style mine..or eclectic since I mix and match styles from every genre every day.
 24. Hey do I have something in my teeth? Can you use this to help me get it out? Oh and Drix, my mom thought yours was funny
 25.
I didn't think of
his death as being Mamoru's fault... I'm not totally sure I understand the situation, though. Why did Zoisite want to kill him, anyway? Was he trying to get revenge for his beautiful face? Was it because Kunzite gave him permission to? If so, maybe I'll have to revise my opinion of Kunzite. However, at the moment it looks to me as though the whole situation stems from the fact that Queen Beryl is a royal *****.
What really surprised me is that Kunzite appears to be a relatively straight-forward guy, at least in comparison to Zoisite--he doesn't pull any punches. In that sense, he's a much more respectable villain than any of the previous ones, and he also seems a lot more powerful. I hope Mamoru eventually goes back to being his annoying, snarky self. It was always fun to watch him torment Usagi.
Uh... is Queen Beryl in love with him? Or is it Queen Metalia? Or, heaven forbid, both? ^_^;; Anyway, it's nice to see the guy get abducted for once.
~Dagger~
I'm way too lazy to cut paste and everything, so I'll just space everything out in neat paragraphs in order. Yippee!
I think Zoi boi was trying to get revenge for his face...who wouldn't? As far as I could tell in the episode Kunzite just gave him permission to have the duel, not kill of Tuxedo Kamen/ Mamoru/ Prince Endymion. The kill thing was completely Zoisite's idea because he likes to play dirty.
I agree with you that Kunzite is definately one of the most powerful villains in the whole series and definately the most powerful of that whole season. But
wait until you see teh episodes where they try to get the guginshu back from Sailor Moon. It's a reather odd combination of sneaky tricks and backhandedness. Plus the episode with the Princess Seminar is kind of funny.
And as for your other question
It'll take a while, but after they all die and lose their memories Mamoru goes back to picking on Usagi and I believe BEryl is in love with Endymion. There's quite a bit more proof and explaination to this in the manga than the anime. Metallia is just an entity that Beryl revived
Now, what does everyone think about that infamous manga picture of the four shinteno (ie: Jadeite, Nephrite, Zoisite and Kunzite) with the four inner senshi (Mars, Jupiter, Mercury, and Venus)? Does anyone think it's possible that there could have been a romance?
