Anime Wow... they're just like me!: Characters you identify with
ChibiHorsewoman replied to Balinese's topic in Otaku Central
I finally saw Vandread last week and so far I liked it. However I think that I have a lot in common with Dita who has the curious need to call poor Hibeki Mr. Alien instead of his name. I think the reason I embody her is because she's funny, she's strange, and she keeps wandering off on her own. I love how hyper she is too of course, I usually remember to call people by their names instead of calling them such things as Mr. Alien. Then again sometimes I can't seem to remember people's names sometimes. Now, if only I could get one of those ships like she flies and get away with inuendo because I honestly don't know what that means -
I can't even shower in 7 minutes.
Since Friday evening I can't even do number one in seven minutes, but that's besides the point. So he stayed and finished reading a book to some pre-school children instead of rushing out of there like his rear end was on fire and scaring a bunch of kids. Everyone knows I don't care much for Bush (those who don't should read signatures more often) But I think that finishing up a book in seven minutes hardly made a difference. Actually I think if the FBI had had their act together prior to 9/11/01 there wouldn't have been this problem with Bush reading a story to small children in the first place. If anyone should be villified for something on 9/11 it should be them. Now what I want to know is why are so many people making a big deal about John Kerry protesting the war in Vietnam after he came back from fighting in it? In my opinion someone who went over and risked his or her life to fight in a war and came back has more right to protest it than someone who went to college to avoid the draft and still wants to protest a war. Anime Dating Anime Characters: Would You?
You sure you wanna stick with Naraku? Im not exacly suer youre my tipe, ya know! I pretty much am Naraku-- dark, double-dealing, misterious, and I would like to kill most of the peple in the world. But youre not my tipe. Sorry.
That was my Do not call list hun' Meaning that these are animated characters who aren't my type. So you're not my type. Now if you'll excuse me I have to go change a nappy -
That was funny, but I got a laugh out of
Kaede yelled 'run cow!' and Shippo said 'I'm a horse!' It was such a demented looking pony/horse thing...
My dad saw it, and he loves Miroku. He said the guy tries too hard, but he tries. XD
I saw that part too (coincidentally my favorite funny part ) He reminded me of a demented Pinata pony/horse thing. And I do agre Miroku tries too hard. Maybe after they get all the jewel shards Miroku can attempt to take Sango on a nice picnic or something...provided Naraku is defeated. Yeah and that will happen when...some demeneted fangirl who enjoyed the demented pony/horse thing writes a fanfic about it. :D I got to watch InuYasha while I was in the hospital over the weekend (not thursday tho- because they gave me a shot of morphine so I could sleep through my labor pains) Now I'm starting to wonder how long it'll take Fluffy chan to ask for InuYasha's help...keh, liek that'll happen.

I haven't been on here since last thursday (happy b b-day 23rd people) because lcrisler (yes it's not just an online thing) and I just had our 1st baby. She arrived at 6:32 pm on the 24th of September which was Friday. Abigail Elizabeth is 6lbs 8 oz and 18.5 inches long. Yes, she keeps me up at night, I have diapers to change and I still can't wear my pre pregnancy clothes, but I'm happy to have her. I'm pretty sure Lincoln is too.
. Not all Goths whorship Satan either...thats just simply a Satanist. Now THOSE people are scary  [/SIZE']
\Actually, Satanists don't worship Satan and those who say the worship Satan are a.) looking for a way to shock people or b.)very missinformed on the aspects of Satanism. I'm not going to go into the whole thing on Satanism since I can't remember everything I knew about it. I can just reassure everyone that it has nothing to do with worshipping Satan or sacrifices of Virgins, babies and small woodland creatures. Atleast not the Levay teaching.
Sever all the ties. Any other way such as "talking about it" are futile.
Actually I've come to the descision that I should trhow her in the trunkof my car and toss her in the lake. It wouldn't be a far drive and she could get a bath when I threw her in. Oh but now she wants us to buy a tattoo for her birthday. The woman has 15 already. Where the hell is she going to put another one? Not to mention why does she feel she should be able to ask for something like that. Getting inked is not cheap! I swear, I'm kind of glad the doctor put me on bed rest since Tuesday, that way I don't have to deal with her.
Raider Nation just stomped some *** 13-10.
I hate to break it to you, but 13-10 is hardly kicking *** as you put it. You can even ask the Yankees who have managed to lose 22-0. All that means is that the Raiders (who can't decide what city to play in as their home city) won by a field goal. Winning by three points is not considered trouncing in my book-I've seen enough Bills gamse to know that. They can lose much worse. Okay, football trivia: Out of the three teams from New York, which is the only football team whose stadium is located in NEw York?
My birthday is the 23rd, as well, by the way. My golden birthday.
Man, that's strange, I'm getting induced on the 23rd unless I somehow go into labor tomorrow. I guess it would be kind of funny if my daughter's birthday was the same day as yours.... Wait, golden-you're going to be 50?! I'm still in a good mood becuase Lincoln's here, but I'm kind of bummed because my doctor deceided to put me on bed rest because my blood pressure hit the magic number of 130 over 100 today and then I also got 145 over 89 and something else over 93. So now I can't go anywhere until Thursday when I go to be induced. But I am glad that everyon eseems to be in a decent mood.
Dunno. Being depressed + Shopping... do those usually go together? o_O
Hey, it's always worked for me. A few days ago I was feeling crappy so I went to Lord and Taylor and bought a purse, then I went to Hot Topic and bought a t-shirt that has a large circle with the word 'me' in it and a smaller circle with the word 'the world' in it. Then nderneath was the saying, New Scientific evidence proves that the world does indeed revolve around me. Now tell me, how can you stay depressed when you have a t-shirt that proves that the world revolves around you? Never mind thatI have to wear it with materinity pants. As for NArku's girl, you're not a Goth, you're a kid with too much time on her hands. Anatema's right, you do need a hobby. But I do share your love of blood. The red cross pays $20 bucks when you donate it, and it helps to keep me alive. Heck, after this pregnancy is done and everything gets back to normal I'm going to look into how to do Blood Moon magick, which is where you try to get your menstral cycle to coincide with the moon's cycle and then do magick. I think it's supposed to help you think of your cycle as less of a curse and more of a gift. Kind of like embracing the mother cycle of the wheel. (if I got that wrong let me know)

Yes another pointless trhead by your's truly,. Okay, not pointless, let's just say here's another trhead by me, Chibi Horsewoman. I had to put thi sone up because even though I haven't been able to tie my own shoes or wear anything from last year since June I am in a very good mood because I will get to see my husband in about two hours. I haven't seen him since February because he's been in Iraq protecting US oil interests. And don't get mad at me, those are his words not mine! So, I'm happy about that. And that after the end of this week I'll be able to tie my own shoes again because I'm due to deliver on the 23rd So, not only will I have Lincoln back for a while, I'll also have our daughter. Oh and be able to drink Cherry Coke and sit in the top row of a movie theater again. Okay, so now you know why I'm in an unusually good mood. What about you guys? Anything good?

it seems that most of you might, but the ones who wouldn't feel quite strongly about their discisions. Like I said before, I wouldn't have gone through with it unless Becky was okay with it. They tried to give it a go twice because her mom saw the tattoos and black trench coat and thought 'bad influence on my daughter' so when Becky's mom said not to see him, Becky listened. Now, unknown to Lincoln until recently, Becky kept tryijng to say that we'd make a good couple even when I tried to hook them up. Then Lincoln got it into his head that I interesting or something so he got my number from my ex who was kind of friends with him. So we started talking and then he asked me out. So I asked Becky and she was okay with it. But you know why I really had to go out with Lincoln, then marry him? I was saving my best friend from the life of a military spouse.
Ok, thanks for correcting me. I'm no Broncos historian.
Hey, for you no problem  But, forget the Broncos and learn some football history.
i hate you so much :flaming:     die
This would hurt my feelings so much if I took annoying people seriously.
The Broncos went to like 5 or 6 Supergbowls in a row if i'm not mistaken... ^%&*ing Elway...
You are mistaken. The Broncos have made it to 5 or six superbowls, but not in a row. The Buffalo Bills, although they lost all four times are the only team to make it to the super bowl four times in a row. I just asked my dad who's been around since the superbowl began top make sure i was right.

Why or why not? Have you ever done it before? And if you have done it before, how did it turn out? As most of you probably know, I did date a guy that my best friend went out with. She never really thought of her and him as a couple though, so in her mind it doesn't count. But yes I have. I only said yes to going out with him because my best friend was cool with it. To get right to the point, the first time she saw him she was liek 'He looks liek one of my brother's friends (her brotehr is four years younger than her) ' and when we dropped him off (afetr they had kissed) She said that she thought we'd make a cute couple (meaning me and the guy. I don't know if I'd do it again I guess if the situation was simular I'd go for the guy again. But if it was some kind of serious relationship I don't think I would. Oh, and as for how it turned out. She was my maid of honor at the wedding when I married said best friend's ex boyfriend. So for me it turned out pretty well. For them too. My best friend finally lost some of her shyness and the guy ended up with me :D. So, everyone else, go ahead and reply.

Plain and simple, I can't stand my mother-in-law. Yes, I know it's a bit cliche, but trust me I don't know many people who can stand her anyway. It wasn't that way when I first started seeing my husband. At first she was cool with me and I was cool with her-I guess. I think it was because I knew that L. didn't have much of a family, infact I thought that she was the only family he had. Yeah, i knew he had a brother, but he lived (and still does live) out of state and from what she told me they don't get along. Actually they do, his brother paid for one year tuition at a private school and dropped out of college to take care of L. when something happened with their mom. I think it must have been after we got engaged that she must have realized that I was taking away (her way of looking at it, not mine) the only member of her family who actually has anything to do with her. Now she gets on my case about how I should lose weight. Yes, I know I'm a bit over weight, but compaired to her Sveltlana Ortina (did I get that right?) looks like Katherine Zwelger when she was playing Bridgit Jones. And now we're about to have a baby in a matter of days (literally). I went over her place last month. (FYI, me going over to her apartment means that she comes outside and I talk to her since the place is overrun with cats and smells like low tide on a hot day) She gave me this used diaper bag that smelled like her cats had used it for their second litter box and wanted me to make sure to bring the baby over when she arrived. When I told her I couldn't bring her over because of the cats and teh fact that she smokes so much she was like so, you can leave her outside. Not in the middle of October in Western New York. Also she said that it wouldn't be any different than having her at my parent's house since they have my cat and two dogs. Following that, she proceeeded to light up a cigarette (after I had asked her not to smoke around me) and when I complained she said quite rudely that it wasn't going in my face. At that moment a breeze blewmy way taking the smoke and the smell of her in my direction (yeah I should probably mention that she doesn't bathe and dresses like a slutty 20 something) I decided that it was time to take my leave, so I did. My mother-in-law has no sense of hygeine (no, Lincoln wouldn't mind me saying this since he feels the same way) and her house keeping skills leave much to be desired. Never mind the fact that she can't manage to go more than ten minutes without a cigarette. Yet she wants me to bring my daughter over there. The woman couldn't even manage to raise her own kids yet she wants to tell me how to raise mine. My question is how would you handle the situation, since I know the majority of you aren't in this position at the moment. I really don't want my daughter to have much to do with my mother-in-law aside from the occasional visit at my parent's house...very occasional. But I know it's not completely up to me, Lincoln deserves some say in it as well. And my mom keeps saying that's it's not right to deny her the right to see her grandchild. But she kept Lincoln away from every member of her and his father's families for nearly ten years. So how would that be different?Wouldn't it be easier than trying to explain this woman to a three year old? Advice or even a scolding if someone thinks I'm wrong about trying to keep the paternal grandmother away from her granddaughter would be appriciated. Thanks
I know about as much on american football as a....ummm...goose because i live in england. So i have no idea what on earth Midnight Rush is talking about!! Could someone please tell me what Midnight Rush just said!!
As far as I can tell our American football is like what you guys call Rugby-only not nearly as violent. Basically the whole idea of the game is for one team to score more points at the end of a game than the other team. Touchdowns are worth 7 points and feild goals are worth 3 points. It's pretty much a bunch of guys wearing spandex and chasing one guy with an oddly shaped ball around a feild for four quarters which are about 15 minutes long. They try to tackle the guy with the ball so he doesn't get too many yards because getting too many yards is bad for the other team I think. At the end of the season there's a national holiday (may as well be) called the Superbowl where the two best teams in both the AFC and the NFC try to be the best of the best. During the halftime that day there's usually a bunch of performances. Last year the FCC got mad at Janet Jackson (and not Justin Timberlake) for a 'wardwobe malfunction'. I don't know how that happened, I've been dresing myself for 20 years (my mom dresed me when I was a baby) and I've never had my boobs fly out in public.
poo62.2... look it up on google if you really want to know... its a little too complicated to explain in one post.
How was that complicated? The basics of the game are easy, get the ball from the middle of the field to your side of the field with the least flags on the play, going out of bounds and other penalties. And score. Then you can do a silly dance. As for me, I'm hoping that the Buffalo Bills new coach can help the team get better than they were last year. I mean obviously they've made great improvements since the 2001/2002 season when they were I believe 3 and 13, but they haven't been to the playoffs since 1999 and they haven't been to a Superbowl since 1994. Okay, so they lost every superbowl they went to. But they were the best in their franchise 4 years in a row because they made it to 4 consecutive superbowls which is more than any other team in NFL history. Okay so the last two times they were beat by the Cowboys (shut up LP) but they did get there 4 times. Of course, their season seems to be off to a rocky start this year. Not only did they lose all their pre-season games, but they lost their first season game by a feild goal at the end of the fourth quarter. But they lead through the majority of the game so there's hope for atleast a play-off spot this year, right? I almost forgot, the Bills Play the Raiders tomorrow. I wonder how that's going to turn out. Anyone ever been to a football game? If so, share your stories.
Hmm, let's see... Machine shop worker and lathe operator come to mind quickly, and it probably wouldn't hurt if you were working with heavy pesticides, either. So yeah. Although at least a lathe operator has a valid reason to not wear a tie, although things like bracelets or rings can be a bad idea, too.
The mechanic that work on Humvees in the military come to mind as well, my husband can't wear his wedding band when he works on those things and he can take his BDU shirt off, but has to leave his t-shirt tucked in. Actually, that part is more like military regulation. You have to tuck your pants into your boots as well then tuck your laces into your boots so you don't trip. It also works for when you run. But that's nothing, what about all those mill girls who were killed in the 1850's because their hair wasn't pinned up? One little slip and poof...off goes your scalp. Of course, those girls lost fingers and stuff even without the help of shirts. Just gotta love the industrial age...right.
Just to let you all know, Hot Topic is owned by The Gap. THAT'S RIGHT, THE PREPS OWN YOUR SOULS! MWHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!![/color']
There is no way the Gap owns my soul...unless they also own State Line Tack and Sephora because I've sold parts of my soul to them in exchange for cosmetics and riding attire respectfully. Then again I do shop at Old Navy a bit and the Gap does own Old Navy, but I don't shop there nearly enough as Sephora. I do find that kind of funny though. *Runs off to worship at her cosmetic and body treatment shrine to Sephora*
I'm actually under the impression that most people who are into bondage and S&M lead very normal lives. It's the hidden freak in them.
I wouldn't know since I'm really not into either one. But there were some people I knew who just liked to make people look at them so they walked around with the dog collar and crap like that. I think it's a good thing I got away from those people.
As far as Goths go though, I think it's dead, just like Punk. I listen to both types of music, but trying to embody the stereotype in my oppinion is ridiculous. The only person who was ever a true goth was that first guy, who ever came after him was just a copy cat.
Punk's not dead, it's just tied up in my basement. Rock however is dead, so long live paper and scissors! I don't really have a catergory to regulate myself to. I dress like a prep one day (well, pre pregnancy) and then the next day it's combat boots plaid skirt and who knows. And I mostly listen to country music so there goes my uber punkness. But... I did take a test online once that said I was punk (of course this same test said my husband was a poser  But I do agree that the first person to be Goth was goth the rest just copied the look and ended up in Glamour's Do and Don't magazine special as the Don'ts. I think the new shopping expericance should be a combibnation of thrift stores and wherever you can afford to shop. Who's with me?

I just bought myself a Tinkerbell keychain, but I might give that one to my mom if something better comes along. I think I still have my Krillin key chain somewhere, maybe in a bag. I think if I fixed it could use it. But I do believe I have one of the coolest keychains ever for my car. I can unlock and lock my doors, pop the trunk and make a panic button go off for my Alero. Can anyone else's keychain do that?
Some one, somewhere, in a position of power, ought to watch Bowling for Columbine. Neh?
The person who was in aposition of power (ie Bush) was promised an endorsement by the NRA (National Rifle Association) if he didn't renew the ban. So, to Bush votes for him were more important than renewing a decade old ban on assult weapons, which protected the people that he as president is supposed to protect. So, while more and more police officers are being moved off the streets, military style weapons are getting on the streets just so he can be elected. I think I should point out that military weapons are very different from a hunting rifle. They (the drill sergeants) tell you that the first day on the shooting range. You don't need an assult rifle with a silencer and a flash guard to hunt bamibi. Hell, you don't even need a gun with a magazine that holds more than 10 bullets in a magazone to hunt bambi. I hope Bush realiizes what he's getting himself into putting himself before the American people. And sadly, I agree with you Sword breaker. I grew up around guns so I learned gun safety from an early age (I also learned to shoot when I was 12), but for every parent who teaches their children about gun safety and every child who knows how to respect fire arms there are far more irresponsible gun owners.
A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.
You don't need an automatic weapon to protect yourself, or go shoot yourself Bambi or Thumper (do you know how many pieces Thumper would be in?) for that matter. The ban was necessary it wasn't an infringement on anyone's right to bare arms. And if everyone thinks that's bad, you should hear how Bush wants to shorten the waiting period for gun liscencing and backgorund checks. Any American who is over 18 and not registered to vote, I strongly advise you to do so. Or try to get an absentee ballot if you're in the military (like LostProphet and lcrisler) The sec

]I can't promise anything, but there is a chance I can bother the army to help out the airforce while he's sitting around in the hospital room. Hopefully he'd be able to do a bit better job than what he did on mine.

I couldn't believe when I heard this today on CNN, but I thought it was pretty interesting. Apparently Mrs. Laura Bush was making a speech yesturday in New Jersey for her husband. There was a woman there whose son had been killed in Iraq. I guess she started to yell that Bush had killed her son. She was arrested, but all I could think when I heard that this morning was 'Good for her.' One thing that irked me was the speech by Cheney in support of Bush when he said that if you thought the attack on 9/11 was bad, if you don't elect Bush you can expect something worse. When my mama heard that she equated Cheney with a terrorist since he's trying to scare the American people into voting for Bush by saying that if they don't there will be another attack. Oh yeah, another thing that happened this week, the ban on automatic weapons and magazines (the part of the gun that holds the bullets) containing more than 10 bullets expired. If anyone has comments on these topics I'd lvoe to hear them
