I've seen a few of these off and on during my visits to OB and I've finally decided to add my own lament about the family I've been adopted into. I get along with most of my relatives just fine, especially my mom's side. My dad's side is sometimes a bit off, but all and all it's not that bad. Until you consider my paternal grandmother who pretty much thinks she's God (and she's in the wrong religion to think that.) She acts like she's this wonderful Christian person and on the outside everything seems in order, but it's really not. She makes snide remarks towards everyone. Her most recent with me is my weight and my husband. First off about my weight: I've never been a skinny girl and now as pretty much everyone on the board knows I'm in my seventh month of pregnancy. During my first five months I lost a bit of weight because of that misnomered thing called morning sickness. My OBGYN was a bit worried that I wasn't gaining any weight, but now I've only put on about fifteen or so and if you take into account that I lost seven pounds in the first two trimesters I've only gained eight. But leave it to my grandma to try and get under my skin by commenting on how I should watch how much I gain and should I really be so heavy right now? She actually had the nerve on Sunday at my Baby Shower to make another remark about how big I am. I wanted to yell at her-For the love of God, I'm pregnant! I'm supposed to gain weight! But that would have been giving her what she wants. The second comments are about my husband, Lincoln. It's no real secret, but we try to pretend it should be that Lincoln was never a Christian when we started going out. Add that to the fact that both his parents were alcoholics, he's a high school drop out, and he was raised by everyone from his brother to his aunt (lesbian aunt I should add which makes it a bit worse to her.) and that he smokes and there's just suddenly something wrong with Lincoln. Never mind that he treats me well, and he's extatic about being a daddy, my grandma has to say nasty things about how his smoking and his upbringing are bad for the baby. Never mind that he's quitting because of the baby. She also got this idea about how the reason he joined the army is because he didn't have a job. I told her that he had a job and he had also gotten an offer for a roofing job, but he's rather have some steady work. But that still doesn't make him any better. She still bad mouths him behind his back, but to his face she's as sweet as can be. Also I should mention that I have two cousins who both had children before they were married and that the children's fathers are now nowhere to be seen. (One's in jail for Statutory rape I don't know what happened to the other one) But she never makes comments about how they aren't doing anything right. But me on the other hand who went and got married before getting pregnant (not that suddenly I'm better than them even though one of the two doesn't even have custody of her daughter right now) get all the crap she can dish out. Hell, I even got crap for getting married at 21. I'm tired of how she acts towards everyone and then still everyone acts like she's some kind of sanctimonious person. She's no saint or anything, she's just a bully. So, does anyone have anything to add about this? Either experiances or advice would be appreciated.

I was in Media Play looking for some new manga to read and perhaps buy when I came upon this manga (and I can't remember the creater) Cheeky Angel is about this girl who actually used to be a boy. But when he was 9 he ran into this strange wizard, and ended up getting this book as a reward for saving the guy from some other kids. Inside the book the boy (whose name is Megumi BTW) find this genie who will grant him one wish for free. Megumi wishes to be a man among men, but the geinie pretends to misunderstand and makes him a woman among women. He does offer to change Megumi back into a boy for the cost of ten years from his life. Needless to say Megumi doesn't take the genie up on his offer. Megumi is understandably in a state of worry and when he/she gets home and tells his mom that he is somehow now a girl his mom just says you've always been my little girl. Apperantly the whole universe has been altered and only his friend (Miki I think her name was) believes her because she was there to see the whole thing happen. Well anyway, fast forward six years. Megumi and Miki are now fifteen and in middle school. Megumi true to the genie's fulfillment of a misinterpreted wish is becoming a woman among women so all the guys are going crazy over her. Which makes her angry and freaks her out. So she punches a lot of them This manga has action and some humor. especially all the times when Megumi yells that she's a guy. If you haven't read it, I suggest you do. And if you have read it or heard of it, maybe you can help me clarify a bit more and let me know if I messed something up.
If there is one thing I absolutely cannot stand, loathe to the fullest extent that one can loathe, it is ignorant moviegoers.
Hey, is it a sign of the Apocolypse if I agree with you? Or do we just have to worry about the sky falling? I hate sitting in a movie theater and hearing people loudly critique and disect the entire movie. For the love of all things sacred, wait until you get out of the theater because nobody really cares that you know how they made the hoards of monster thingies in Lord of the Rings or your theories on Monsters INc while they're tryingto watch the thing! :flaming: For that matter, don't talk to me while I'm watching a silent movie on TCM. It's hard enough to catch one, I don't want someone interrupting me while I'm trying to get the plot.
Sorry to go off topic, but I found an AMV of Sailor Moon called 'The Blossom's Lament', and it was for Sailor Moon R: The Movie. It revolved around the love triangle between Usagi, Fiore, and Mamoru (Roses as weapens, and no, that was not a translation, he used roses as weapons), and it was so touching that it made me cry...has anyone else seen it?
Since this is about sailorMoon it's not off topic You mean the SailorMoonR movie? Yes, I've seen it. Actually I think I may have seen the AMV too, but I've definately seen the movie in both dubbed and subbed versions. I have to disagree with your love triangle theory since Fiore (which is italian for flower BTW) and Mamoru only met when they were children so it can't really be theorized that they had anything more than a platonic relationship from the get go. I think that the reason Fiore had such strong feelings towards Mamoru was because he was the first friends Fiore ever had. But yes, the movie was touching. I thought it was so sweet in the end when
Fiore gave Mamoru that flower to bring SailorMoon back to life as a child then Mamoru kissed SailorMoon to give her the nectar
It was also a good way to explain why Tuxedo Kamen has such a lame power in the anime instead of his cool manga power.
I was very suprised by this the first time I saw the the uncut version, it was very graphic and dirty at times. Only having watched it in America until that point, i had alwys thought it was a kids show, something stupid to promote good values with the Sailor Says thing. How wrong I was! :o
I'm guessing that you're a bit younger than me. If you are around my age I'm guessing you're very sheltered since I don't think SailorMoon uncut is all that 'dirty'. And it still promotes good vaules because it's got some strong women and good triumphing over evil.
So It turns out that Its a lot dirtier and explicit than I had ever thought. I always thought that It was a goody goody show and it is, but only because the translators made it that way. so the japanese version was a lot wose than i had ever thought. Oh, and who's Minako? I do not know the japanese names you'll have to forgive me.
Explicit? PLease sailormoon to me is about as explicit as a Reba McIntyre song. Unless you get offended by seeing outlines (very bad outlines) of someone's breasts and behind as they transform which is something else both DiC and CWi edited out. Except it was only on the planetary senshi and not on SailorMoon. SailorMoon was still mostly goody goody. It was just dumbed down for children in the edited US to watch. Trust me Sailor Moon was never explicit. I've seen NEw angel, Sakura Diaries and La Blue Girl...that's explicit. And yes I have no problem admitting to watching anime porn. It's funnier than real porn. Minako=Mina Usagi=Serena Ami=Amy Rei=Raye Makoto=Lita Mamoru-Darien ChibiUsa=Rini Michiru=Michelle Haruka=Amara Setsuna=Trista Hotaru=Hotaru (can someone explain that?) MOre as promised: Haruka and Michiru (Amara and Michelle) were never cousins or close friends or what ever else any of the European dubs (Or SOS) have turned them into. They were created as lovers. Naoko Takeuchi said that they were lovers and since she created them I'm willing to believe her. I'm kind of tired right now, so I'll refrain from adding more on this post at the moment.
If you have read at least two of my posts you probably know that I used to like, but now despise sailor moon, and the "Power of Love" endings sickened me. I know they were trying to give a good positive message, but I think they went a little much on the love thing. But really what I would like to know is: What exactly did the Americans to the series to make it so bad? I hear they changed it a lot, I just want to know what sailor Moon was really about before the american translations and changes. If someone could tell me that would be great.
Everyone is going to wish I'd never seen this post by the time I'm done replying to it, but too bad I have to act. Let's just get started with the inner senshi and how Minako's whole past was wiped out because of an episode they never aired in the united states. In the original Rei and Usagi do go at eachother through the entire season, but Rei is quite a bit nicer to Usagi and you can tell that she thinks of Usagi as one of her close friends because she doesn't add an honorfic to the end of Usagi's name. Yes, she hits her too (they edit all the slapping out in the dub. Except in the opening of the episode where mamoru gets taken to Beryl Stupid editor) The dub made everyone hate Raye for being mean to Serena . Nobody ever got really in depth with their friendship. Case in point the episode where the inners are pretending to go against Moon in order to trick the Dark Kingdom (I will never say Nega verse)
There's that part near the end of the episode where Moon is being strangled and Mars says to wait, but Jupiter slaps her and accuses her of really hating Usagi. Mars asks 'if I hated her so much would I keep something like this for her?' then holds up the Crescent Moon wand and explains that Usagi asked he to hold onto it.
In the dub Mars says that Serena left it at her place. Changing the names took away the all the little puns from the inners names and why it's funny that Usagi/Serena doesn't like carrots. I don't know why some dubbing companies have this sudden urge to change characters names sometimes. Even worse DiC ruined the mythology behind Serenity and Endymion by having Princess Serenity and Prince Endymion become Princess Serena and Prince Darien. I don't know why they did that maybe kids wouldn't understand Without the missing episoide Minako comes off as a ditz and you never get the whole idea of why she came to Japan so late. She suddenly has no background and no depth of character because of the missing episode. The attacks were changed and DiC after having the first episode with Raye/Rei using her ofuda prior to finding out that she's Sailor Mars suddenly turns the Aku ryo tai san (evil spirits disperse/begon) to Mars fireballs charge. I don't know why they had to change the wording of the attacks. It's not like they could have messed up translations since the seiyuus did the attacks in english. DiC changed Zoisite into a girl because he was an evil guy in love with another guy. I think it was just because he was gay and not because DiC was afraid of showing evil gay people. More later

What does religion have to do with where i work?
The fact that you followed up bragging with a nice little internet "-grins-" about hindering your friend's ability to walk [okiedoke Tonya Harding'] coupled with making a connection between Star Wars and your religion makes this topic highly unbelievable.
Oddly enough the Star Wars equation, although a bit off since he couldn't completely explain why he used it, has been used before. I heard it used once by some girl I couldn't stand at Ft Hood Open Circle. What I'm a bit wary about is the whole injury thing. Most l people wouldn't do something like that just because they think their friend turned them in. Coupled with those two facts I'd almost think that you're one of those people who says I'm a Wiccan in order to seem 'cool' or see what reaction you get from people.. Let me just tell you that those people piss me off to no extent and make the rest of us look bad. It's a religion not an RPG where you get to shoot sparks from your fingers. :flaming: -
My parents were really bad about it when I was younger. MOre accurately my mom my dad just added comments every so often. It's not that they thought it was some kind of soft porn, it was more of an academic issue and they felt that Sailor Moon (only anime I was watching because it was on Cartoon Network) was threatening my GPA. So maybe in that respect they were justyfied. ;) A good thing about being an adult is that parents really can't restrict you. Of course it wasn't until I was an adult when I started buying my own anime and manga. (and doing things like downloading anime shhh). Of course now my mom doesn't want me to explain InuYasha because I told her it has something to do with demons. She made me stop because she doesn't like hearing about things like that. Not that she'd stop me from watching it or reading the manga if I was ten years younger. It's just that she gets uncomfortable with that stuff. My knows a few different anime, but she really can't differenciate one anime from another. I know this because last night she was digging out decorations for my baby shower and she found wrapping paper with DBZ on it. She said "Oh look I fouind some Gundam Wing wrapping paper." She says they're all the same to her. I think it would have been funnier if she said it was Chobits or Princess9 though.

What does religion have to do with where i work?
ChibiHorsewoman replied to Zudo's topic in General Discussion
Wicca, from what I remember, is a fairly "good" religion. In all I read (which was about two pages XD) there was no mention about how you should worship Satan. It's very hard to remember since it was nearly a year ago, but isn't there two parts of Wicca?
Wiccans don't worship Satan because we don't believe he exists Simple as that. Wicca is a branch of Paganism (that is to say it's what I believe) and there are many branches of Wicca which worship different paths. My husband and I are eclectic so we just pick up traditions that we like and use them. However a friend of ours follows a Celtic path, so his ceromonies are all from the Celtic traditon. You'll also find people who follow a Dianic tradition, these usually don't allow men. The biggest rule in the Wiccan rede (IMHO) is the rule of three. It's the last part of the Rede that goes Mind the Wiccan Rede you should, three times bad and three times good. (Anyone can correct me on this since my husband has most of our books in Iraq so he can do his circle) Basically it means that if you do good works (IE magick (and it's magick with a K to differenciate from the stuff you see on TV) you'll have good back three times what you gave. But if you do bad (black) magick. You get the bad back three times. (example: You try to cause your co-worker to lose his job. You end up losing your job, then your car, then your house) Something you have to consider when you do bad migick (the lady who was high priestess back at Ft.Hood called it bad Joo Joo) is are you willing to accept the consequences of your actions. Of course I think that's negated if you do magick back on someone who is causing you harm since you aren't the one who began it. (loong story that doesn't involve me) But yes, there is a light and a dark side as there is in every religion. You just have to be willing to accept responsibility for your actions if you decide to embrace the dark side. As for Satanism (which I've seen discussed briefly, but nobody has really explained in this thread) Satansists don't worship satan. I'm not sure if I'm getting this completely right since my accomplice who knows so much about this stuff hasn't been online for a week, but Satansists more or less worship themselves. Their most important holiday is actuially their birthday. And they have no problem with doing black magick, but I forgot why on that remark. In satanism (as tuaght by Anton LeVay) though there is no goat worshipping adn baby eatting. Anyone care to add on to these remarks? I fear I may have screwed a few things up some how. -
Match the Actor or Actress with the three movies
Joe's Apartment Calendar Girl Scream 2
I'm going to make a bad guess and say Keanue Reeves. But I bet that's wrong This one might be a bit hard since these are all movies from the 1930's. I'm just hoping the last one gives it away: Strange Interlude Red Dust Gone With the Wind -
Why do I get such a confidence boost by reading these?
Because seeing emberassing things happen to other people is the best way to say: 'glad it didn't happen to me' This one is emberassing because it happened yesturday. I went grocery shopping with my dad and I turned my back to pick something up and he must have walked off to go get something else. If course I didn't know that and started talking about how the tortilla turned around and noticed that I had been talking to myself. I was gathering a small crowd of old people too. Okay, it's not as good as my first one, but it was pretty bad.

What does religion have to do with where i work?
ChibiHorsewoman replied to Zudo's topic in General Discussion
And CHW, how could a religion that is the second largest in the world in terms of followers, and the fastest growing not be considered mainstream? (Ok, I'm done with that bit now, just had to get it out of my system :p )
No worries here. I just meant that when most people hear of Islam they don't know much about the religion. Save the fact that it' s been getting some bad publicity thanks to the media and a few bad apples so since it's not well known it's not considered mainstream. Never mind the fact that it's one of the fastest growing religions out there. I believe it's the fastest growing monotheistic religion. It's kind of the same with Wicca. Most witches (yes, I said witches) don't like to broadcast that they practice because Wicca has some people thinking 'baby eatting devil worshippers' and none of them really care to be extremely public in their practice because they don't wish to be harrassed. However there are quite a few of us around as well, it's another one of those fast growing religions. And to add on to what Dan L. has been saying about division in the denominations well... I actually saw a pamplet being handed out in Wal*Mart (coincidentally by the same guys who tried to give me the Hell pamplet and in the same place) about how Catholics were Idolators and worshipped Satan. I have to admit that I found that funny since I was raised Catholic and my mom is loathe to even try and talk about the devil. There's division in the separate denominations as well since the anti-gay Christians (Understand that when I say Christians I mean Baptists, Catholics Protestants ect) are against the pro-gay and the gay Christians. And you have Pro-life against pro choice Christians . Then the anti contraceptives against the pro contraceptives, Which I find odd because you'd think that someone who's pro-life would want a woman to protect herself against getting pregnant so she wouldn't need to consider an abortion. The list goes on. It gets so bad that church isn't fun anymore unless you want to think of it as Jerry Springer for the religious. -
I ended up marrying the guy I was friends with if that answers your question. If not well...I really rather get to know a guy and think if I'd want to know him better or not than suddenly have him ask me out right off the bat. It works out pretty well that way because you can find out what things you have in common and if that person attracts you more than just physically. Don't get me wrong, physical attractions are nice, but you can't really have a serious relationship with just physical attraction since after a while that wears off. I mean, don't you think Nick Lachet (or whatever) tries to bash his head with a two by four every once in a while becuase he's married to Jessica Simpson? And aren't you starting to wonder if maybe that guy Anna Nicole was with commited suicide? I think your approach is fairly well thought out, but what I'd do is try to be a bit less nervous when you think you may want to takie your friendship to another level. I doubt most women really want to just feel like friends with benifits.

I just found this out on the 11:00 news that back in 1997 (I think it was 97, maybe 92) New York State ruled that women may go topless anywhere men are allowed to go topless. However, despite that ruling there aren't very many women walking around topless, infact I haven't seen any at all and wasn't aware that it was legal. Still, I don't think I'll be taking New YOrk up on their offer any time soon. Although yesturday was a bit tempting (90 degrees and 70% humidity). I don't know if the announcement on the news will cause more women to go around topless in New York. But I think that it shows that even though it's legal, not many women are going around without their shirts.

If that's the actual ending of the movie, and I pay money to see it, I'm demanding a refund. Then I'm going to laugh really hard. I've seen some newer previews on TV (the last ones I saw were when I went to see Lady Killers, now there's a good movie) it looks like the village is supossed to be set in a combination of 18th and 19th centuries. If you've seen the commercials I saw, they actually showed a classroom with a chalkboard. What I'm wondering is if there's a book about the movie. I think I'd much rather read that than watch a movie with a rumored to be stupid ending. I did see Unbreakable and I thought the ending to that was less than spectacular. Even though it was interesting to see two extremes represented. One person is pretty much indistructable and the other is practically glass. I have to say the best line in that movie is when Bruce Willis tells the kid playing his son that: Friends don't shoot friends. Now if you'll excuse me I have to go dig up Sixth Sense because I have the DVD somewhere, I just haven't watched it and I want to compare a few things. Even though I've heard some people say that that ending was less than spectacular as well.

I guess i get annoyed easily People who take their opinions to be gospel truth really manage to get my goat. It can be anything from a movie to the fact that you aren't too into having this person play Freude (how do you spell that guy's name?) with your personality, but you say one thing about it to defend yourself and they label you an imbecile. People who take their little kids to a movie and let them run around and don't do anything about it-I paid $8.00 to see a movie that I really wanted to see, I don't want someone's four-year-old running around so I can't concentrate on watching Mean Girls. Is it too much to ask to either find a baby sitter or wait until it comes out on video? Religious fanatics-get a life please. Extremism in any form is bad. Especially when it involves religion because that can lead to holy wars, and inquisitions and Manifest Destiney. Right to lifers who go out and shoot doctor's who perform abortions or block an entrance to health clinics.-Not only another form of extremism, but when you kill someone and your policy is anti-abortion you've suddenly hit hypocrisy in my book. Because isn't killing the opposite of pro-life? Homophobes-In all honesty, if your marriage is so bad that you think that Eva and Tammy or Steven and Nate getting married is going to weaken your bond well, maybe you should go to a marriage counselor instead of trying to convert them back into happy straight people because your marriage isn't their problem, it's yours. The reverand at Killeen Tabernacle Baptist Church-Oh, this is a good one. After Ft. Hood allowed Sacred Well to have a branch of Wiccans meet at Camp Findlayson which is located at Ft. Hood there's been tons of fun (they've had their alter broken and was told by the MPs it was cows  ) . The best was about five years ago when the good reverand had a guy packing a gun at services incase a warlock (which is actually an old scottish word for Oath breaker and not a term for a male witch) came in and tried to steal some children. That guy is a loon. I wonder what he's up to now. The MPs who explained the broken alter to be caused by cows: Yeah, that's right, tap dancing cows! Okay say it with me W-I-M-P can't spell wimp without MP! It's a signal cadence. People who don't like anything to be different-That's why we have libraries, to learn about differences. I'm getting a cramp in my left hand so I have to stop now.
I got prescribed Zoloft for it actually.
I finally got put on Paxil when I was fourteen or so. I keep taking myself off of it though (not good!) and I can't be on it right now because I'm pregnant and I haven't found a regular doctor, I just have the OBGYN. They tried a few different drugs on me first though, before the Paxil. Thorizine made me fall asleep all the time. And I'm not talking just crash when you get home, I was on the stuff in elementary school and I ended up missing two days of school because I couldn't even make myself stand up to get dressed. It was also bad on my heart and caused me to gain a lot of weight. I can definately understand how moving from a large city (or even a large town) to a small town can really suck royally. I hated living in Killeen, TX Human population: 7,111. Bovine: 1,000. Okay, so there were more people than cows, but I had no family but Lincoln and it took me a while to make friends. Luckily the friend I made knows what it's like to be depressed a lot so we got along pretty well. It helped a bit, but I also got put back on Paxil becuase some of the Military doctors actually do more than give out Motrin (you'd have to be military to get the joke). Depression isn't a 'normal teenage thing'. There are pleanty of teenagers who are either just moody or really really happy all the time. I'd definately suggest looking into getting some help if you constantly feel lonely, disinterested in everything or just blah in every single way. In fact, I suggest that to women who have just had babies because that's post partem depression. That's really all I have to add on the subject

He's a rather odd sort of pacifist. He almost reminded me of Quatre from Gundam Wing when I started watching Trigun. I think it's interesting that even though he has those arms that he can turn into guns he hardly ever uses them. Like that episode with the bar, with that girl and everything (Sorry, I haven't watched in a while) They were all forced to give up their weapons and being shot at. (O.k., so Meryl had those little one shot guns, but that's not part of the explaination) But Vash didn't use those guns, instead, he just did some weird stuff. I don't think he fired a gun at all until one of those episodes where he ends up putting down his sunglasses. Other than that he's a bit of a doughnut snorting goofball. I've had serious thoughts about a SailorMoon Trigun crossover where Usagi and Vash end up together. That would be interesting, don't you think?

Well, I definately wouldn't want to play any board game that required mass amounts of thinking against the guy, but I'm not too sure he's cheating. After all, I think he came on a bit after Jeopardy redid their rules. The guy's been there for 36 days now, and it's starting to get a bit boring for me. I'm wondering how long he's going to go until he gets bored with winning. Maybe after he has enough to buy a nice condo and never have to work again. I wonder what the heck he was doing before he tried out for Jeopardy.
I don't think he really needs your approval to "have a snowball's chance in hell of succeeding as a decent rap artist" considering the fact that his LP not only sold 872,000 in it's first week, but went on to be the best selling album of the year with 6.5 million copies sold.
That could be argued by the fact that people will buy anything when it's new (IE Brittney Spears, Spice Girls, LFO ect) or buy into the hype of some genres of music. Does he have a second album out yet? edit:My brother says that 50's real because he was in jail for 5 years for selling drugs. oooookay then On topic:Of course,as a strange coincidence, rap music in general just gets on my nerves. No real lyrics, just a bunch of bass and someone yelling about how they did such and such to such and such and shot them up a lot. Then went and slept with that person's girl.

Yes, it's a form of clinical depression. I think it's caused by some kind of chemical imbalance. At least that's what the doctor told me. I don't really know how to elaborate about this condition except that if you think you have it mayeb you shoudl tell someone. Yes, they may put you on Paxil or Zoloft, but it's better than being depressed all the time.

A few things I figure would happen if women were suddenly allowed to go topless and it suddenly became the hot summer trend would be the following: 1.) There would be a decline in breast enhancement surgeries and women who had large breasts would be flocking for breast augmentations so their backs wouldn't hurt as much when they went out with out their bras. 2.) People would start buying stock in Coppertone, Ban De Sole, and whomeever else sells sunscreen because nobody would want their bossoms burnt. 3.) There would also be a rise in nipple piercings. (Ouch!) That's just some of my speculations.

What does religion have to do with where i work?
ChibiHorsewoman replied to Zudo's topic in General Discussion
Are you saying people aren't prejudiced against Christianity or Judaism? It's that way for all religions.
Oddly enough I've heard of Baptists being prejudiced against Catholics becuase the Catholics also pray to Saints. That's just the way it is for everything in general. There are people who are prejudiced against watching Queer Eye for the Straight Guy becuase it portrays homosexuals in a positive light. There's nothing you can do about it, you can't force people to like you. Even if you could or did there would be some pretty bad reporcutions. Like oh, they might like you too much. It's just the way life is as long as there are differences in thought or opinion there will be people who are against those differences. -
Perfectly, indeed.
Maybe you should have read Harry's comments as well before jumping on me about my replies and saying I'm acting immature. I was just replying to what he had said and just having some fun with the topic. Lighten up.
I had meant it as an indirect cause. If more girls start walking around topless, guys may get hot over it and be more amped to get laid. Who knows, the extra freedom and fresh air might turn on some girls, too. *shrug*
That's like saying that every single man is programed to screw 24/7 and the fact that women keep wearing shirts is the only thing keeping them from going ape **** on everyone. Furthering this explaination of yours is saying that all humans are nothing more than base creatures focused only on sexual desires. Or that if a woman sees another woman's breasts she may suddenly experiance homosexual tendancies.
Indeed, what is[/I'] to stop them? You tell me. Topless world or not, there's still the same problem.
Would you care to clarify for me what's so wrong about birth control? I think that it's more responsible to go out and use protection or go through an operation to prohibit becoming pregnant or making someone pregnant than to not consider the consequences at all. I think you should go back and review a few things before continuing.
So much for the requested maturity of the thread. Thanks a lot, Chibihorsewoman. =/
Hey, don't blame me, I was being perfectly mature. I doubt that seeing a woman's exposed breasts on a regular basis is going to cause a rise in teen pregnancies. I think that would be more along the lines of a limited distrubution of condoms and contraceptives than to the fact that some 45 year old is walking around topless. As for a rise in abortions in adults. If an adult has a steady income, what's to stop him or her from purchasing impliments to prohibit pregnancy or impregnating someone. Along that same line of thinking. Why wouldn't an adult who doesn't want children just go and get a vasectomy or a tubal ligation? Both these ideas are pretty farfetched in my opinion. I doubt that everyone (save for those individuals who have quite a few issues) is at their sexual peak 24/7. It's kind of ridiculous to think that an entire population wouldn't be able to control themselves simply becuase a few women decide to take advantage of a hypothetical retraction prohibiting them to take their shirts off.
