Boy Meets World actually used to show a long time ago on ABC, when TGIF used to be really, really huge. I was in junior high school then (I'm a 3rd year in university now, so that'll give you an estimate of how long ago it was), and I absolutely adored it! Some of the gags and storylines were totally corny at times, but I think that added a lot to it's charm. And watching Ben Savage totally reminded me of watching his older brother, Fred Savage on the Wonder Years, so it added to why I loved it. Also Ben Savage was a little older than me, so growing up watching him grow up was another factor of why the show appealed to me. However, once Cory, Topanga, and the others hit college, I stopped watching for some reason. It just got old, but I do love to watch it on syndication at times when I'm feeling nostalgic haha. There were two particular things that irked me about this show: they totally switched the girl that played Morgan like in the middle of it all, and they took out Menkis(sp?) as soon as they reached high school. I guess the dorky stereotype was too annoying for them LOL ^^;; ~haruno_sakura

Yes!!! Another PMK recruit! ^_^ Dan, I think you'll be very surprised by the differences between the Saitou of PMK and the Saitou of RK. They're really quite different from one another. This show just gets better as it progresses, and stranger now that I've seen episode 16! o_0 If anyone has seen episode 16, I would love to know your thoughts about it! ~haruno_sakura

I just wanted to comment on how great the costume is. I really like the design of it all. The only thing that's really awkward for me is the head looks slightly too big for the body. And I agree with Boo on the blade of the sword; it doesn't look too sharp, and I'm not too sure of the shape. It looks like a paddle that they used to spank kids with way back in the day, LoL. The one thing I think you should keep on the sword is the hilt. It's excellent and goes well with the armor and costume! Excellent job. ~haruno_sakura

I actually like all version of this banner, but I'll comment on the last edit. I think the glasses are actually a nice effect, but as Kaisuke says, it's too cluttered. It might work better if you left the glasses where they are, cut out Wolfwood and moved Vash just a tad bit to the right. It's really a cool concept, but there's just too much going on. The tiny glint is an excellent touch. ~haruno_sakura

First of all, let me say that you picked the perfect font for your banners!! It fits the image quite well. The image itself is slightly blurry, but it doesn't detract from the banner at all, so it isn't much of a problem. As for which text is better, I actually like the middle one with "Help!" on it. It's such a short, simple saying, but with the rest of the banner, it speaks volumes! Anyway, excellent job! ~haruno_sakura

That is a great drawing of Sakura. I really like her expression, and I'd have to say you actually did capture some of her nervousness. The only thing I thing I think you might need to work on is proportion. Her hands and arms look slightly bigger than they should be in comparison with her head. And her chest seems a little too full for a ten-year-old LOL, but the drawing overall is still quite good! ~haruno_sakura

The coloring you did on this is excellent. I actually like it a lot more than the cell shading you did with Kiba because the softness of the colors is just so easy on the eyes, and it works well with the picture. Naruto looks too adorable. I especially like how you did his eyes; the swirling shades of blue are excellent. Good job! ~haruno_sakura

I didn't get to see this until now, Godel, but I like the concept that you've come up with. It looks rather freaky, like a ghost snake wanting to devour Sasuke as much as I would like to..er. Anyway, Wasabi has already pointed what I wanted to say, except I have another thing to add. There are some problems with proportion in this picture. The hand that's suspended up in the air (his right arm) is long and seems to fit with the rest of his body, while the one that's hanging down on the bottom (his left arm) seems a little too short. Now, if you mentally juxtapose the two arms on top of each other, you'll see that they're not the same length, so it seems like he's got a bad left arm. Other than that, it's an excellent drawing ^^ ~haruno_sakura

As it is right now, I actually like it. Wallpapers aren't supposed to be busy at all which is why the simplicity of this one is absolutely perfect for it's purpose. The X that you changed into red...that was a nice touch actually. It gives the wp some balance by tying all the images together through a color that appears in every single one of the images you use. On my screen, though the X looks more of a reddish orangey color...a little too bright, er...slighly neon, I guess? I would actually like to see how it would look with a darker shade of red. Other than that, I think it was a great choice to change the color of the X. If you had left it grey-white, it would have been too bland, so excellent decision! ~haruno_sakura

I actually have fallen in love with simple yet visually appealing banners, and you've got it down. I like how there actually isn't very much tweaking done on these banners save for the borders; you let the images speak for themselves, which is quite refreshing. My only gripe is that the fonts for the cowboy bebop banners are too pixelated. And the "AIM" part of the DeadAIM in the Halo banner is almost nonexistent. You may want to make the stroke a lighter color so that it's easier to read and stands out just a tiny bit more to be legible. Other than that, *pat* well done! ~haruno_sakura

Is that image of Haruka and Mitsuki from Kimi ga Nozomu Eien? ^_^ I love that anime. Er to get on topic.. I like how you're experimenting with the different effects, but for this particular image, I'm not sure if I like what you used because the faces got all distorted and squished that it's really hard to see the beautiful image. It is a cool effect, but it's not visually appealing for this particular picture. Sometimes a picture looks much better if left alone. The text is a little too small, and the color of the text doesn't flow so well with the rest of the picture, which makes it incredibly hard to read. The word "Days" is just completely lost in the blue of Mitsuki's hair while the rest of the sentence covers her mouth. I would suggest placing the text on the top left hand corner where there isn't much going on so that it would balance out the banner a bit more ^_^ I hope that helps ^_^ ~haruno_sakura
Originally posted by Dagger IX1 I thought I'd mention that episode 15, "Song," is brilliant. I never expected that Hijikata (of all people!) would nearly make me die of laughter. Up until "Song," he's such a serious, dangerous character, and I feel as though PMK's director took a huge gamble by portraying him in a more comedic light. However, I also feel that his gamble succeeded wonderfully--I watched this episode three times in a row, and even then couldn't stop cracking up. Although PMK's plot is unfolding rather slowly, I've really grown to care for its characters. I'm convinced that by the time everything comes together, the deliberate pacing and gradual development will definitely start to pay off. So far I only have one big complaint about this series, and that's Hotaru. She's probably intended to be an annoying character, but my hatred of her is a little bit too intense. I sincerely hope that Okita runs her through sometime within the next two episodes. ~Dagger~
I highly agree with you, Dagger! Watching Episode 15 was just hilarious! It was rather painful as I'm also sick, and everytime I laughed, I ended up in a coughing fit! I think this does well in building Hijikata's character further, because so far, all we've only seen is his intensely serious side, and I think it's about time that another dimension of his personality is shown. I don't think I've ever felt sorry for him before because he scares me a little, but Song proved that he's just more than a dangerous man...He's also got a softer side
writing horrible haikus!
. Tehehe! Ah, just thinking about it makes me want to laugh again! Hotaru...well, I'm actually not that annoyed with her to tell you the truth. I don't think I've seen enough of her to really form a great opinion of her, but judging by the preview for the next episode, she's going to make another appearance...I wonder if they're actually going to develop some sort of romantic subplot between her and Okita-san? *dies* T_T I won't be very happy with that, but I guess we'll see how they play it out in the next episode (30 min before it finishes downloading, yay! ^_^) ~haruno_sakura
Originally posted by maladjusted Haha, Syaoran and Sakura's relationship makes me feel fuzzy inside, too, even though that's a bit weird for me to admit.
As does the relationship of Touya and Yuki/Yue. Don't they look perfect for each other?
I don't really care much for any of the other relationships, lol.
Yes, I must agree with you on the
Touya x Yukito/Yue relationship! The idea of shounen ai pairings really never interested me much until I saw these two (or should I say 3? o.0) interact!
.
Originally posted by Xyander i LOVE the Cardcaptors show! I never uysed to watch it, but i recently saw it and it hooked onto me. I'm watching it right now! I never saw the movie but the episodes are really cool. Its shows like these that I wish we had a world with magic. I want to go on adventures ans stuff lol anyway its an amazin show asnd I will hopefully see the movie soon!
If you really did enjoy Cardcaptors (InnerSelf: Are you serious?!), I highly suggest you get a hold of the original show, Cardcaptor Sakura. It's like more than a million times better than Cardcaptors (out of curiosity, I actually got a hold of some of the Cardcaptors episodes from a friend, and I just died from how they butchered everything! sob!), and they should be available for rent o.0 And the original seiyuu are just so much better. I know that the voice actors that worked on the English dub probably worked just as hard, but in comparison to the original Japanese, the English dub just isn't as great. I get a better sense of who the characters are when I listen to the original track. There are a lot of emotions that can be felt just through the tone and pitch of the voices, and this is just one of the many ways that the Japanese version greatly outweighs the butchered English dub version (I don't even want to get started on the lack of shounen-ai implications that were lost when Cardcaptors was created, LOL). ~haruno_sakura

I actually like this version of the wallpaper a lot just because there aren't any color mismatches like with the green lines you had in with the last one. I think the swirlies add a nice touch to finish the piece, though I still like the idea of the eye being green, and was rather disappointed to see it gone. However, I think you've done a great job with the grid in the background. It adds more texture to the piece. ~haruno_sakura
Originally posted by SasukeUchiha Sakura-chan does the special
show what the sand nation is up 2
Just a Yes or a no would do. Another thing I am wondering is
What happens to those people that do not pass the Chuunin exam? I am not looking for spoilers but I mainly wnat to know if Team 7 ect. Wills till be training together or what happens, I really do not want to see them seperated.

Well, Sasuke-kun, the one hour special
shows a little glimpse of the Sand shinobi doing stuff in the woods around the gates of Konohagakure. I guess you don't want to hear more than that?
. I actually don't get what happens if someone on a team passes a Chuunin exam while the others on his/her team don't. ...Heh, I don't want to spoil it for you, but there are more important things to focus on besides who becomes a chuunin and who doesn't, even though...GAh forget it, I won't say LOL. I just saw Episode 68 last night, and it completely took my breathe away. Even though I knew what was going to happen, actually watching it unfold was still as exciting as reading the manga, or even more so! My experience in watching the anime has given me a higher level of excitement that was missing when I read the manga. That said, has anyone else seen episode 68? I think it's about time we
get to see the adults fight a little more. We've only really seen the kids do their cool movies and such, with little glimpses of adults fighting, ie. Kakashi vs Zabuza, Anko vs Orochimaru in the Forest of Death, or Hayate fighting that Sand guy, but we never ever really get to see them do much else except observe! I think it's exciting to see what the Jounin of Konoha can really do! I also can't wait to see the showdown between Sandaime and Orochimaru! It's definitely going to kick major booty, and I'm looking forward to seeing how the anime is going to pull off Orochimaru's jutsu in which he...blargh! It feels wrong to even mention it in a spoiler tag. Anyway, I'm really glad the war between Konoha and Sand/Sound has finally commensed! It means getting closer to seeing Uchiha Itachi! *faints*
. ~haruno_sakura

Wow I really, really, REALLY like this CG. It looks as though it could be a cell from the anime! There's only one minor thing that everyone else has commented on, and I'm pretty sure you know what it is so I won't repeat what's already been said >.> Anyway, excellent job! The coloring and shading are perfect! ~haruno_sakura
Originally posted by SasukeUchiha OMG, I am up to episode 65!!!! I think these episodes are amazing!! Now if my stupid 56k will download the hour special I can die happy. Ugh someone must discuss this with me or my head may explode.
What did you all think of that whole Neiji situation, That fight was freakin awsome. I was almost cheering outloud for naruto, then afterwards when Neiji recieved the letter from his father, and you see his eyes go from that mean look to the soft look. I was like....whoa. He didnt look like the same Neiji, he looked like a little boy!
And Then! The episode I got wouldnt work for the second fight, so I havent seen that yet sadly. Neway.....
I was watiing and waiting and waiting for Sasuke to appear, then he Finally does, And he looks like crap...They better fix up that art in the next episodes, because that hair just wanst working, he looked like crap. Neway, I really want to see the fight thats coming up, and know what the sand nation is up 2.!!
I could probably go on ranting but ill stop there lol. So what you all think. Oh and if you put nething from the special let me know so I dont read it. ^^
Yes, the
Neji vs Naruto fight was too great!!! Even when I read the manga, I wasn't sure who was going to win, and when Neji got up from his hole first and we see Naruto lying unmoving, I was about to cry because I wanted Naruto to win so badly. Of course, when Naruto surprises us all and emerges from the dirt to knock Neji out, I couldn't help but cheer outloud for him!!! Naruto really has a way of inspiring people, as corny as that may sound LOL. And when they show Neji reading the scroll from his father, I actually started to really cry. To actually see such a drastic change occur in his mentality was too moving, which is why Neji is one of my ultimate favorite characters and which was why I was defending him much earlier on in this thread LOL. Although his past doesn't justify his previous cruelty toward Hinata, at least he realizes his faults and he definitely will prove that much later on. And the episode I think you're missing is the Shikamaru vs Temari fight, another good one LOL. I know you don't like him very much Sasuke-kun, but Shika-kun really is a great guy and I can't say much more until you get to see more of him...
. As for Sasuke's new look,
they do fix him up in 66-67 LOL. I have to totally agree that he looked like utter crap in 65, and it almost ruined his return for me because he didn't look at all like the Sasuke-kun we know LOL. I'm really glad they didn't ruin teh hotness LOL.
Anyway the hour special definitely will not disappoint!!! ~haruno_sakura
Originally posted by Queen Asuka I used to watch CCS when it came on the WB, but it was so slaughtered that I sacrificed the money and went out and bought the first three volumes of the series subbed and uncut. It was very nice, but all the good episodes were later on and I quit buying the videos and yeah... I really LOVE Sakura's friend. Tomoyko? Is that her name? It's been such a long time. She's so adorable and she's got the silliest schoolgirl crush on Sakura. It's precious. My favorite cards were the Light and the Dark. I did some really nifty fanart a while back that I should scan. It's some of my favorite pieces of art that I've ever done.
Yeah, her friend Tomoyo is absolutely darling!! I love how she always has a video camera to capture everything Sakura does, and the outfits that she makes for her are just so cute! LOL. Yes, the best episodes do come much later, especially when Syaoran develops romantic feelings for Sakura! Aww, just thinking about how he acts around her makes me all fuzzy inside LOL. I think this is really one of the cutest couplings ever. ~haruno_sakura
Originally posted by AzureWolf Very nice work. I like how you captured the features that make Kiba Kiba. I think that's what makes this thing stand out. I'm wondering why you don't have his dog companion drawn as well.
Yeah, Kiba looks a little lonesome without Akamaru, but you did capture him very well, and thank the lord you drew him without the hood! LOL ^^;; I absolutely love it, and despite the pencil you used, the shading isn't that bad at all. I can't wait to see your CG. ~haruno_sakura
Originally posted by maladjusted More like... completely ruined the anime by cutting it up into so many peices that you can't even tell what the real anime is like. ^_~.
Yes, which is exactly what Cardcaptors did to Cardcaptor Sakura. From what I read online, they completely took out all the shounen-ai implications which I absolutely adored, and they also gave Li a more prominent role in capturing the cards when I feel in the original, it's shown that Sakura really doesn't have that much competition when it comes to being the Card Mistress. The story is supposed to revolve around her, but from sources online, it seems as though they made Li almost more important to attract boys to the series. Sigh. ~haruno_sakura
Originally posted by PiroMunkie I find Rock Lee kind of annoying, though. o_O

AWW, I absolutely adore Rock Lee! He may seem annoying at first, but in the next few episodes, you'll see that he's really a great guy, and when you get to the Chuunin prelims, you really can't help but cheer for him! ^^;; I honestly like him so much more than I like Sasuke, just because Rock Lee has a lot against him and he works harder than most to be good at what he does. Also, he's just too cute around Sakura, too ^^;; ~haruno_sakura

Wow that just looks awesome! I love the subtlties strewn throughout the background...like the sheet music! It adds a nice touch, especially since Zaku is from The Hidden Village of Sound. I really like the job you did on the CG; the shading is just right and it looks like it could actually be part from an original cell! Great job! ~haruno_sakura
Originally posted by sweetreyes Naruto, Naruto, Naruto!!! A show that I can finally post about since I've seen the first 4 episodes and I'm going to see more very soon. Whoo Hoo! But so far the show is awesome and I love the graphics, but that Naruto has some crazy problems. Especially the
Sexy no Jutsu techinque in which he turns into a naked and very cute woman
HA HA!!! I wish I could do that. Hehe... but so far I am loving the show and the story line is going good so far. I like it visually as well. Its easy to watch and I adore it!! I WANT MORE NARUTO!!!
If that Sexy no Jutsu gets you excited, his other moves will just make you pee in your pants LOL but I guess you've got about 60 something or so episodes before you get to see his really kick *** moves! AHHHH. As for more speculation, we know that Konohamaru-kun is Sandaime's grandson, but who exactly is Konohamaru-kun's dad? After rereading some of the manga
Orochimaru calls the 3rd Hokage Sarutobi-sensei, and Asuma, the Jounin leader of the InoShikaCho group, has the exact same last name. Just wondering if he could be Konohamaru's father...or uncle maybe?
LOL, that's probably just me over-analyzing. ~haruno_sakura
-
I really like the simplicity of it, and I'm glad you got something other than the grid that you normally use ^_^ The stock image is still kind of blurry I guess because it's so small that i can't tell what's going on in the picture, but the concept is great. ^^;; ~haruno_sakura
Originally posted by SpikeSpiegel haruno_sakura where do u get the epsiodes from? I finished that series about a week ago. I get my bit torent downloads from animnsuki.sandwich.net. Its a pretty good source for new anime. Right now im watchin this anime call Gunslinger Girls. Basically its about young who are physically injured, greatly, an are given robotic implants by a government agency. Then they are trained as assasins. So far its pretty good. An if you liked Onegai Teacher Ani_freak then try to check out Green Green. Its halairous.
I actually get some of my anime from animesuki.com, though I also visit websites that fansub groups make for themselves, and I also have a few friends who do encodings and get all their stuff from irc channels who then give them to me. I'm pretty lucky ^^;; And if stuff is licensed and available on DVD, I'll usually rent them or something ^^;; As for Green Green, o.0 that stuff is a little to ecchi for me LOL. It is quite hilarious though and the premises for the story are really interesting. Basically, a couple who couldn't be together in a past life are reincarnated. The guy (totally forgot his name) goes to an all boys boarding school and they're planning on integrating females into the school, so they have a beta group come over. One of the girls happens to be his lover from the past and she remembers him immediately while he doesn't remember her, and a whole bunch of stuff happens to them. It's incredibly funny, but I stopped watching after about 9 episodes because I couldn't take all that sexual humor stuff haha. If you do like shows like that, this one is definitely for you LOL. If you like Green Green, then Maburaho is also in the same type of genre I feel. It revolves around a boy who goes to a magic school and has the strongest magical power, though he can only use that power 8 times (or is it 6? I can't remember the exact number) in his entire life. Because it is said that when he has a child that child will exceed his power, there are a bunch of girls trying to hook up with him because they want powerful babies LOL. Yeah, I didn't stay with this series v. long either because it's not my kind of humor LOL. ~haruno_sakura
