I suppose my expectation was a little vague. These 1st posts are merely a preliminary battle against Helena and her fiends, which are wolfen creatures. It's just basically another character snippet where I can analyze your fighting style so that I can divide the characters into two groups in Chapter 1. The battle can go however you please, but ultimately we will be overwhelmed by Helena's might. You could also use this battle to go in depth on the skills your character has and get them used to their newfound abilities. A sort of, trial-and-error post where your character gets a feel for their new self. I hope that helps somewhat. If not, let me know. ? ♥ ?

Name: Vemillion Edge Gender: Male Age: 22 Demon Form: Magini Weapon: Mani Rank: Vanaheim?s best sniper Physical description: [Vermillion and Crimson] [Vermillion] His right eye is red, whereas the other is grey, as opposed to his brother, whose left eye is red, and right eye is grey. Personality: Calm and collected, Vermillion?s rarely seen without his cool. Vermillion can always be seen smiling, and people love to have him in their company. They say his monotone voice is slightly odd, but it's a consistent amused and humorous tone, not taking away from the atractiveness of his person. However, they say, when Vermillion sings, people are entranced by his voice, saying it?s vivid and melodic. Also, his whole life is ruled by accuracy, precision. Not a thing goes off without a hitch. The only thing that isn't orderly or precise for Vermillion are these new feelings he has towards his brother, as they are still relatively fresh and bizzare to him. The relationship between Crimson and Vermillion, though newly-founded, is very strong, as they only had eachother after the light. After the light washed over them, they bonded with one another very swiftly, almost as if entering into one anothers mind. This connection was the seed that led to the strong mental link that compels the brothers to act in the other's best interest; and is utilized fully in battle to coordinate attacks and nearly simulate a "telepathic" link. Outside of battle the brothers link does not end, and they walk, talk, and act in coordination. However, when one brother is in danger, the other will risk neck and hide to save them, though they still haven't quite grasped why. Combat Tactics: Vermillion, much like his brother, Crimson, though they enjoy battle, is much more preferable to swift victories. Rarely ever do his bullets find their targets outside of the head or the heart. Vermillion?s steady arm allows him rapid shots at his opponents, especially if they?re clumped together. His usual targets are the enemies in the upper ranks of his opponents, as it's easiet to overwhelm an army without a leader. His favorite style of fighting is coordinating strikes with his brother to take down opponents. They combine close combat and long-distance strikes to invoke fear and chaos in the ranks of their opponents, and they often gesture to one another during battle to better arrange the chronology of their strikes. Skills: The brothers possess flowing and complementing singing voices that, when combined in unison, produce a melody unparalleled by many. Also, Vermillion can keep his body very steady, very quickly, so he can aim and snipe swiftly, all in what appears to be one swift motion. That's why he's prided as Vanaheim's best sniper. Phobias and Weaknesses: Being without the support of his brother. It is said that the only time anyone has seen Vermillion irrational is when his brother?s on the line. Pet Peeves: Close-mindedness, and he feels one should be able to observe a situation from every angle, not making haste and not allowing emotion to cloud judgment, but having the knowledge to see where emotion is needed. He himself, however, has a problem sticking to this philosophy, as his emotions occasionally spring up without his consent. OOC: I edited my personality, Doublehex. I hope everything is in order now.

Parallel Convergence: Alteration Helena?s face lit up as her machine came to life. A maniacal laugh escaped her mouth as the spell?s power filled the Holy Chamber. Voices could be heard from outside, but that was irrelevant. All that mattered now was making sure she accomplished her goal. The white light consumed the room, and everyone felt it wash over them, enter there very being. Lust opened his eyes as the room around him distorted, and he gasped in horror. He tried to leap towards Helena, to shield her, but his body wouldn?t move. He chuckled. Guess that?s it. No after-party success sex. The green light shattered through the room, blasting everyone against the wall. But, amazingly, the world was still being distorted around them. No destruction. Lust smiled as the room went black. Maybe I?ll get that after-party success sex yet? +++++ Helena was shrouded in darkness. She could barely see anything, but she could hear a voice. It sounded like her own. It was her own. She outstretched her hand and felt something. She clung to it and pulled herself forward. She was amazed by what she saw. A giant, endless mirror. Everyone in the world was lined alongside herself and were staring at their reflection. Only it wasn?t their reflection. They were in different attire, they had different hair styles, but otherwise were identical. She finally looked at her reflection. She was amazed by what she saw. Her reflection wasn?t alone. Behind it, was her demon. The form she had taken when she sold her soul for knowledge. She turned slowly, and gasped again. ?Y..You!? She cringed in fear. She was finally free from what she had become, and now she was forced to look at it. She tried desperately to flee, but she was immobilized with fear. And something else. The creature was in her mind, controlling her. It had full control, and all she could do was watch as it used her like a puppet. She shook. ?No?no?this isn?t what I wanted! I didn?t want to become this! I take it back! Everything! Return me to normal!! I didn?t mean for this to happen? She regained use of her head, and looked frantically around, for help. Off in the distance she could see Shin and Havok, She opened her mouth to call to them, but nothing came out. She tried frantically, but to no avail. She lost control again, and the creature turned her towards the mirror. She watched in horror as her hand lifted itself touched the mirror, and began to become consumed by it. She and her reflection were being drawn together, and so were the creatures. Tears streamed down her face as the process neared completion. With the last of her consciousness she looked back to Shin and Havok. ?I?m?so sorry!? +++++ Greed stirred from his sleep. He shook and rubbed his eyes. What a wild dream. He looked around and raised his eyebrows. What the hell? He was in a desert city, but this city had skyscrapers, a baseball stadium, but these weren?t what they once looked like. The skyscraper looked eons old, and it had odd symbols lining it. The baseball stadium looked like a battle stadium of sorts. Everything seemed so familiar, and so new. He looked down at his outfit and was shocked again. He always wore this outfit, at least, it felt that way. But this outfit looked completely foreign as well. Then his memory came flooding in. The experiment, how it backfired, the odd realm they were placed in?His reflection. The giant mirror. He quickly looked around for the others. ?Sins! Assemble!? Gluttony, Pride, Sloth, Wrath, and Envy got up and walked over to him. They couldn?t make an sense of it, and they were looking at one another with a befuddled look on their face. Gluttony began to freak out. ?What the hell?s going on? Huh? Huh? What exactly happened. Why is the place like some fusion of ancient Rome and New York? Could someone please enlighten me? Why is my outfit so unfamiliar to me? Why can I,? She struck the ground and caused it to crack, ?break the ground open by punching it?? An enormous shadow covered them, and a happy laugh came from above them. They all glanced up and their eyes opened wide with surprise. A giant creature was hovering above them, a dragon/behemoth of sorts with 36 wings and two heads. But that wasn?t even the most startling part of this creature. Emerging from each head was a red-haired Helena. Lust stood on the creature?s side, smiling menacingly. Something has happened to him, he even had an odd swirl go through his eyes. The creature was in his mind, controlling him as well, but he had allowed it in. He called to the Sins. ?Brethren! Allow yourself to become completely in tune with Helena! Open your minds and all will become clear!? The world around them seemed to disappear as the creatures watchful eyes were focused on them, and it entered their minds. +++++ Prologue: The First Confrontation Slightly off in the distance? Shin?s eyes opened wearily, and he attempted to move his body, but to no avail. His body felt weighed down, exhausted, like it wasn?t his. He pushed himself up again, this time managing to get into a sitting position. He looked around and frowned. It was a barren wasteland, devoid of any life. He had remembered the path to his house being desolate, but he had always been able to see the lights of the city in the distance. He stood up groggily, almost falling over. After regaining his balance, he looked around once more, now specifically searching for the city. Still, it was nowhere to be found. Finally something caught his eyes, and caused him to gasp. Off in the distance there was a city indeed, but it was destroyed, nothing more than ruins. How could he have survived if a whole city couldn?t? His thoughts were interrupted by a grunt close to him. ?Wha?what happened?? Shin?s eyes slimmed as he got ready to fight, but quickly released tension as he recognized the figure. Atticus shook himself off on the ground, then sprung up next to Shin. Following him was the other mercenary who had come with them, Havok, who said he had some sort of reason for wanting to go with them. The other two looked just as confused as he felt, but he needed to maintain calm. As of now, they needed to find survivors, group them together and find refuge. Luckily for them, the survivors weren?t too far off, and they warily made their way to them on their own. He went over to greet them all, some faces being familiar, some distant, but before he could take a step, Atticus grabbed his shoulder, stopping him where he stood. ?Look!? Shin spun around, and his jaw dropped as he saw what Atticus was pointing to. Above them was a massive creature, a dragon of some sorts, with two heads. As it got closer, something began to become visible on the two heads. As soon as it was recognizable, Havok and Shin screamed at the same time. ?Helena!? Shin looked to Havok, confused. Why does he care? He shook it off and watched as the beast towered over them. A voice beamed from behind them, belonging to a very handsome, red-haired man. ?Yes, it is Helena? But she?s so much more now. Two Helena?s, combined in one body, with power comparable to God.. The ability to create and to destroy. But these powers?? He paused to chuckle for a second, allowing a golden haired man to finish his sentence. ?Are granted by a creature far more devious than the ?higher entity?.? His dark voice ran chills up the spine of the party that had gathered. He could feel their fear, feel their confusion, it was almost as if he fed off of it. The red-haired man waved his arm over, and 5 more odd characters jumped to his sides. Shin stared at them for a second, then his eyes opened wide with shock. He pointed to them shakily. ?You seven? You were the seven whom were with my mother when I came back to visit my mother?? The red-haired figure laughed once more, bowing mockingly. ?Very good, very good. But we haven?t been formally introduced, Shin. My name is Lust, and the charming individual over there,? he pointed to the golden-haired man, ?is Wraith?. He pointed to the others that had gathered, naming them off one by one. Gluttony, Pride, Sloth, Envy, and Greed. Shin laughed after the sound off finished. ?Named after the seven sins, eh? What a lack of originality.? Lust put his hands on his hips and laughed heartily at what Shin said. ?Touché, touché. What a sharp tongue, Shin.? Shin growled angrily as Lust continued to laugh. He snapped at the man. ?What the hell?s going on here? Why is Helena like that? What?s happened to the world?? Lust stopped laughing and sighed, walking around slowly as he began to talk. ?Well, you see dear Shin, it?s quite simple. Mother?s machine, or in another dimension, spell, went off without a hitch. Hell, it would?ve worked! But it was rudely interrupted, interrupted by Zetsumei?s forces in both worlds. The expulsion of energy from her experiment fused with the energy of the assault and tore a hole in the fabric of our dimensions at the same time. And seeing as it needed to be fixed, these two worlds were woven together, cities, creatures, and people alike.? Shin?s eyes opened in shock as his thoughts flittered back to the giant mirror. He hadn?t had a reflection? But if what Lust was saying was true, shouldn?t he have seen another him? ?Now this new world exists, an abomination of worlds. And our almight Mother is here to set things right. For as things begin to appear, mutilations of this horrid collision, she will begin to destroy them.? Shin clenched his teeth and assumed a battle stance. ?We won?t let her...I won?t let her.? Lust laughed, louder than he had before. As did the others sins, and they?re laughing fused into one god awful sound. Shin growled and his eyes narrowed as his darker side took control. A sharp pain ran through his arm and he grabbed it in shock. He looked at his arm and was almost terrified to find that it was beginning to change shape. Wraith stepped forward and pointed to Shin, talking to Helena. ?He is the first of the abominations, take care of him!? The two dragon heads turned to the weakened Shin and reared their heads back, causing the sky to turn dark as a glowing blue light grew in their mouths. Shin watched, helplessly as the heads leaned forward and a massive blast of energy plummeted towards him. Instinctively he held his hand out in defense. The beam struck his arm, but did not destroy it. In fact, it seemed to strengthen his arm, causing it to take a different shape. A light exploded from his arm, striking his allies. Shin stared at his arm in disbelief. ?What?s going on?? The light ceased in due time, leaving the warriors confused. However, they all felt strengthened, as if they had a new arsenal of weapons under their belts. Shin could feel the differences in his body. He touched his left arm. Tougher skin, runes, claws... He looked to the others, and was amazed to find his vision so sharp. Wraith sneered in disgust. ?Hmph, so you now have a means of fighting back. It?ll be futile. You can?t defeat her. You can?t even get to her. For, you see, though Mother is the harbinger of Death, she is God in this world, and can conceive as well.? A red beam launched from Helena as soon as Wraith?s sentenced finished, striking a nearby mountain, causing it to collapse. However, as each boulder struck the ground, it became a fiend, and soon they were surrounded. Lust laughed and performed what would have been though to be an physically impossible flip onto Helena?s shoulder. The mouths of the Dragon heads began to glow with a blue light again. Lust?s voice roared over the sound of the energy charging in Helena?s mouths. ?Can you face the fiends, and Mother all at once?? ? ♥ ? OOC: And so begins our journey. This prologue will not last long, it is merely a preliminary test, a way for me to examine your fighting/posting abilities so that I may see which characters are most fit to work with one another. I will only need one post from all of you, though you may post more if you wish to do so. Once everyone posts at least once, I will ed the prologue, and the true sroty will begin. If you have any questions on what your first post should look like, PM me, or post in the Underground. Have at it!

?Hmph?training time. My favorite part of the day.? A young man walked casually over to his training module, grinning. If he wanted to join the elites, he would have to prove himself, and he was more than ready to do so. Granted, many of the Wing Commanders dislike him greatly for his casual, laid-back demeanor and lack of deference to the rules, especially his attire, but they respected him for his skills. That was the least of his concerns, though, he didn?t give a damn if they liked him. He had worked too hard to get here, made too many sacrifices, and he wasn?t about to let it all slip away. As he neared his module, a hand caught his shoulder and stopped him. He sighed and tilted his head back, his black hair falling over his square-rimmed glass that covered his crimson eyes and his light brown skin. Wing Commander Keiller stared at him sternly. ?Your hat, Mr. Edge?? Vermillion laughed and spun to face the Wing Commander, bowing in a mocking fashion. ?Thank you ever so much sir, I had almost forgotten.? He took his green cadet hat and tilted it over his left eye so the skull and wing design was apparent. The Commander ground his teeth together and nodded to him, walking off in slight disgust, though a mild smile could be seen on his face. As he walked off, Vermillion straightened out, his dark green military shirt getting stiff, and saluted the commander, a smile stretching from ear to ear. He lowered his arms, tugged at his shoulder straps and brushed off his torn jeans, and turned to finally enter his module. ?Now that there are no more interruptions?? He reached his hand out and touched the module, and his massive pulsing feeling struck his heart. He fell to his knees and grabbed his chest all in one motion, his body racked in pain. Or was it? Feeling was rapidly draining from his body, and all Vermillion did know was that he was numb. As his eyes began to close, he stared at the ceiling, watching the lights begin to swirl together, and then, nothing. He was surrounded by a swirling vortex of oblivion, all alone. He wasn?t sure if he was floating, if he was still laying down, if he was sitting? He didn?t know anything at that moment. Then, suddenly, a flash of light, and Vermillion was home. Or at least, his childhood home. And there he was. Not as he was now, but as he had been what seemed like an eternity ago, before he had joined the military. Vermillion watched as a younger version of himself shouted at two figures. Closer examination revealed them to be his mother and father. ?I?m going, and that?s final. You can?t stop me!? Tears streamed down his mother?s face as young Vermillion roared. His father yelled back, shaking the walls with his might. If the walls had actually shook was beyond Vermillion? But that was how he always remebered it. ?You?re not going! I won?t let you throw away your life like th--? He couldn?t even finish his sentence before young Vermillion took up the offensive. ?Don?t you dare tell me about throwing away your life. You did the same exact thing, you were never home, throwing your life away day after day! Well I?m tired of watching you go off. So now that you?re home, I?m leaving. I always looked up to the warrior you were, but now I se you?re nothing but a coward!? Vermillion?s father leaned forward and slapped young Vermillion violently across the face. Vermillion held his face and looked away slightly as he remembered the blow all to well. He looked back in just enough time to watch himself flee from the house, flee from his family. He took a step forward to trail himself, but the ground came out from underneath him, and he was falling again. This time, however, he was not enshrouded in darkness, nor did the descent last an eternity. He quickly hit solid ground, kneeling on one knee. He lifted his head up and looked around. A mountain? Why? He tried to arise, but a massive gust and a mighty roar knocked him off balance, causing him to tumble down the mountain. He managed to quickly catch a jagged ledge, though he could feel it tear through his skin. He screamed, and apparently his cry attracted something, for soon the sun was out of sight and a massive creature was swooping down towards him. It grabbed his arm and took him to the very top of the tallest mountain around. Once there, it dropped him and walked around, almost as if deciding if it was a good spot or not. Vermillion stared in disbelief. A? a Gryphon? Unreal? It?s not possible? But I could feel it! The Gryphon turned back to Vermillion and strode towards him. Vermillion quickly sprang to his feet and almost staggered over, half from fatigue, half from shock. The Gryphon moved with an unrealistic speed and caught Vermillion before he fell. Vermillion straightened out and turned to the creature, petting it slowly. ?Th?thank you.? The Gryphon nodded at this comment, and leaned it?s head down. Vermillion smiled, but his look turned to one of fear when the Gryhon looked up to him, his eyes wide, golden, and evil, and Vermillion began to speak without his own control. ?It is time.? The Gryphon?s eyes thinned, and it unleashed a blood curdling cry, and along with it, a mighty gust of wind. Vermillion was forced down to his knees by the creatures ferocity, and his heart began to pulse again, the same feeling as earlier. He looked up and watched helplessly as the creature reared back onto it?s hind legs and came down to strike. ????? ?Cadet Edge!!!? Vermillion?s eyes opened swiftly and he sprung up from bed. He looked around frantically, searching for the creature, searching for the mountains, but all that greeted him was the infirmary. He sighed and jumped out of bed, almost toppling Wing Commander Keiller. The Wing Commander looked him over and nodded. ?Hmm? You passed out upon entry of the training module a fell into a series of fits. We took you back here, but nothing could be done. You appear fine though. Shall we contin? Mr. Edge?? Vermillion turned to him and nodded. ?Yes?? The Wing Commander hesitated for a moment, almost as if not sure if he was imagining things or not. He shook his head and straightened out. Vermillion raised an eyebrow in confusion, cauing the bangs over his right eye to fall down. His eye opened wide in surprise to find that they were now a golden blonde color. Not unlike the eyes of the Gryphon? Not noticing the confusion in Vermillion?s face, the Wing Commander merely started walking off. ?Nothing. Let us finish this.? Vermillion nodded and walked to his module, slipping in easily this time. He entered his disk and watched as the Audio Input screen came up. He cleared his throat, and entered his information, and odd feeling filling his heart. He felt like he could fly. ?Name, Vermillion Edge. Rank, Cadet. Identification number, #006249. Age, 23. Specialty, flight. Initiate module SOUL.? ? ♥ ? OOC: I hope everything is in order, Redemption. Good to see you around again. :-D -

Havok- On Transport ????? Havok sat near the window, staring out into the vast distance. The others were talking about the mission ahead, what they thought of it, but he really didn't care. They would be going to fight, regardless of what the reason, so there was no point in bringing emotions along. If he got too involved, he may not be able to make the necessary moves, and he could endanger everyone. That was the last thing he wanted. Especially in a group full of woman. He was nowhere near a male supremist, and he knew that all those girls in his group could kick his ass in a flash, but he would never live with himself if serious harm befell them. It was finally beginning to sink on him the true extent of what was going on, though. This was it. The final test. And now everything they had learned, through classes or not, would be put to the test. He had learned plenty from his teachers, but he had learned more from his friends. Without them, even with all his formal training, he'd be as good as dead. He himself had taught Blaize a thing or two about fighting. Blaize lacked defensive abilities in battle, and would often get roughed up. Havok would always come and visit him in the Infirmary, laughing. He would then share his view on getting hit in battle, as he rarely ever did. "In all honesty, my speed's so great because there's only one philosophy I have on being attacked: If I let them hit me, it might hurt. And you've proved that quite well." Even though Blaize would always shrug of, eventually the phrase stuck, and his evasiveness increased dramatically. He never did actually thank Havok, but he implied it. And now they were both going off into the thick of battle, without the ability to cover each other's ace. Havok had always promised Blaize that he would have his back, and now he couldn't come through with that. But he intended to come through for his team. He looked them over, one by one, until finally his eyes rested on Rinoa. She gazed at him too, and their eyes connected. She knew exactly what he was promising, and she mentally promised the same thing, nodding to him. They held hands for a moment, reassuring each other it would all be fine. "You'd better not mess up out there, or I'll have your hide." Rinoa spoke jestingly, despite her worry. Havok laughed and nodded over to Carrot. "I'm more worried about her ripping me limb from limb." He directed his voice towards Carrot after that. "But don't worry, alright? I promise not to let you down, any of you." His eyes flashed from Carrot to Sakura as he said that. They both nodded, and a soldier laughed at Havok's comment. Havok looked at him, questioningly. "Something funny?" The soldier nodded and looked out the window. "I made the same promises my first mission. Thing is, after you keep doing this, you don't need to make the promise anymore. It's just understood. Often times, though, one makes the promise and doesn't come through with it. But looking at you guys... I think you're a pack of naive brats, making a promise without knowing what exactly you're getting into." Havok opened his mouth to protest, but the soldier continued. "However, that spark in your eyes, the spark of ambition... I have faith that your word is valid." They all grinned at one another, with newfound courage and strength as they neared their trial. ? ♥ ? OOC: Just a little character interaction. Hope that's alright with everyone.

Name: Shin Blakehert Age: 18 Class/ Job: [Experiment 59302] Secret Weapon of the Muchitsujo Army Weapon: Shin?s main weapons are his fists. Trained to be able to destroy any opponent using just his hands, no matter what weapon they may wield, this ability in itself is quite impressive. However, he does have a double-bladed katana that he fights with as well. Dark Shin, however, summons a three-barell gun on command and wields that, though he has excellent hand-to-hand capabilities like when he's unchanged. Appearance: Shin [Standing Tall][Dark Shin] Shin stands at 6?2??, and despite his seemingly lanky and bony structure, is quite well toned and muscular. His snow white-blonde hair falls short of his deep translucent blue eyes in front, but falls to about mid-back behind him. His normal attire can be seen in his picture, though the black undershirt has an vermilion heart dead center of it, with a vermilion cross on both sides. This symbol can also be found on the backs of his gloves, the ring on his right hand, middle finger, and on the back of his jacket, all in the same color. This symbol was the symbol he chose for himself when he was admitted into the ranks of the Vermilion Crusaders as an emblem for the territories that would have been under his control. Skills: Hand to hand combat, swordsmanship, and combat with a pole-arms. Through vigorous training, Shin also has extreme dexterity, amazing evasiveness, and heightened senses. His speed is at least twice that of a normal person?s, and he is highly acrobatic. Dark Shin specializes in marksmenship. Genetic Variation: Gateway- Shin?s right arm was dramatically changed, though the visibility of his weapon depends on it?s form. In it?s dormant shape, it appears just like his arm would normally, save the dragon rune symbols that line it. When his restraints on his power are unlocked, it has 6 forms, one for every element, and then it?s true form. Each elemental arm basically takes on the attribute of that element and can control that element at will. The true form, however, manipulates pure energy and is spectacular to behold. Three spikes emerge from his hand, one from his middle finger, one from his thumb, and one from his pinky. They are two feet long, and come out at a 75 degree angle then jut into a 130 degree angle after a foot. His right arm attains gray-ish skin, and is metallic looking. His skin is there, but barely, for clear panels 3in. long span it, with only a 1 in. gap of skin between each panel. Inside of his arm is an orb of energy. Draconic Marks- Shin?s body was greatly changed as the worlds were merged. He acquired great dragon characteristics, some that are less visible than others. He has dragon eyes, and dragon runes line his face, his chest, and his back. His skin looks normal, but is as thick as dragon hide. The greatest change was the mighty dragon wings that were infused into his back. Though retractable, they itch when left inside. Manifestation of Darkness- Darker Shin now has his own being, and when he takes over, Shin's physical appearance changes. When he becomes "Dark Shin" his hair becomes jet black, though it raidates a crimson glow. His eyes turn crimson, and his features harden as well. His hands, as seen in the picture, become claws as well, and his fangs sharpen and grow in length. Personality: Shin is said to have two personalities. The more apparent Shin is charming, friendly, level-headed, and an all around good guy. He has an extremely strong sense of chivalry and compassion, often causing others to see him as naïve. He can be easily distracted by a plea of help, no matter who the plea may come from. Truth of the matter is, Shin, whether consciously or not, always has a firm grasp of all of his surroundings and knows when to expect potential danger. However, one would wonder what exactly could allow someone such as Shin to be admitted into the ranks of the mighty and ruthless Vermilion Crusaders. That is where the ?other? Shin shines. Most of those who come into contact with Shin comment about the chill that runs down their spine when they gaze into Shin?s eyes at certain times. His beautiful eyes, though brimming with sorrow, are usually beautiful, but when the other presence becomes apparent? It?s said that Shin can look sinister. That he can look maniacal. That he can even look sadistic. Those eyes belong to Shin?s darker half, the half that has the 6 mightiest men in the northern continent respecting him. Though this demon is in fact Shin, it?s a by-product of Shin?s darkest emotions and military experimentation. Shin can choose to become like this at will, though if in battle and he loses focus, he?ll become ?Dark Shin? and there?s no telling when he may revert to his normal self. Motivation: Shin travels to make everything right in the world, and to save his mother from her own insanity. However, Shin knows Helena well, and he knows that there may be no way to reason with her. In which case, he?ll save her and the world the only way he knows how. He?ll kill his mother. Biography: Shin was born to Helena and Helena only. If he had a father, it?s unbeknownst to him, and his mother. Shin spent his childhood years in his mother?s laboratory as she performed experiment after experiment on Shin, muttering odd things under her breath, such as, ?This shouldn?t be possible?. Or even stranger, after looking over the results from the day, she would whisper, ?He shouldn?t be here? No man has ever been that close to me? At least not in this dimension?? in a way that seemed like she was almost afraid to say it but she had no choice. One day, she finally quit her research and allowed Shin the privilege of living a normal childhood. Between the ages of 6 and 10, Shin lived a normal life, and he grew into a vibrant boy. However, over the years his mother progressively began acting strangely. She would spend more and more time in her lab, until finally she her surfacing was a rarity. Strange sounds could be heard from the lab at all times, and Shin was too fearful of what may have been down there to check on his mother. He needed desperately to speak with her, though. Shin himself was exhibiting strange characteristics, including increased violence and frequent nightmares. Nightmares so bad in fact, that he would try and bypass sleep for days on end. When the struggle became too great and he passed into the world of sleep, he would often awake screaming, shaking, and sweating. This was only the beginning of his problems, though. On his eleventh birthday, Muchitsujo?s military came to his house to speak with his mother. Shin had heard of them from the other kids at school. There was rumored to be no better army in the world, and Muchitsujo himself was rumored to be a mortal god. After 10 minutes, the military men told Shin that they would be taking him for an extended visit to their base, to help him with his ?problem?. Apparently his mother had been quite aware of the changes he was ensuing, and she had been struggling to find a cure. Every night she would take her son down to the labs and run tests, and the nightmares were a by-product of her trials. Driving herself near mad, she finally gave up, calling Muchitsujo so that he could either eliminate his ?impurities? or strengthen them. Shin was unaware at the time, though. And thus progressed the next 8 years of his life. Rigorous training, painful experiment after painful experiment, and many sleepless nights were the basis of every day. He never lost his happy demeanor, but he proved himself more than useful time and time again in the training exercise and on the actual field. His skills were so impressive that Muchitsujo himself would often come and visit him, and even offered him a spot in the legendary Vermilion Crusaders at the young age of 16. He gladly accepted, knowing that it was a great honour to be admitted into their rank, and that he would even one day be able to rule. At the age of 18, he had proven himself so powerful, in fact, that they were prepared to offer Shin his own land. However, Shin declined at the time, saying there was something more important that he need take care of. Muchitsujo let him leave, and said the offer would still be standing when he returned. Shin went back home after all those years to check on his mother. He would have gone back sooner, but after learning about what she had done to him, he could not bring himself to face her. However, he had finally grown past that, and he was ready to check up on his mother. When he got home, though, nothing was the same. Seven other people were living with his mother, odd characters at sight. When finally he was allowed to see his mom, she ran a chill up his spine. She was distant and disconnected, and her eyes were oddly reminiscent of Shin?s recently discovered ?darker? half. He learned of her plans to create a highly dangerous machine, and tried desperately to dissuade her. She would not here of it though, and after he persisted enough, she went into a wild rage and forced him out. He went back to the military for one more year, rejoining the Vermilion Crusaders, but declining the offer for his own land. He didn?t feel worthy or prepared enough for such a large responsibility. He won various victories against the Zetsumei forces, and in one mission learned of their plans to break the code of conduct and launch a nuke on them. Further digging revealed that they hadn?t been the first, Muchitsujo had decided to initiate this break first. After learning of this, Shin quickly quit the Vermilion Crusaders and lived as a freelance mercenary, a job he had always despised but saw no way out of. One mission, however, proved worth it. He learned of the coordinates for the nuke. Upon discovering this, he rode home frantically with two of the other mercenaries on call, one being oddly familiar, not that it mattered at the time. But he couldn?t make it in enough time. ? ♥ ? OOC: Wonderful sign-ups, everyone. Parallel Convergence: Alteration ?Raaagh!!! Aaaagggghhh!!!? The creature moaned in pain, grasping the colossal demonic wings protruding from it?s back. This pain never ceased, but it only took its toll when they were unleashed. But if the wings weren?t let out by choice?they?d come out by force. The creature retracted its wings, withdrew it?s horns into its head. A black mist engulfed the room swirling inside like a vortex. It finally subsided, and all that was left was a bare beautiful woman, gasping for air. The door behind her opened, and a red-haired male attendant came in, giving her garments to change into. He ran his hand through her hair, then left. He walked back to the main lab, where the other assistants were waiting. He looked at the others gathered around the room, sorrow in his eyes. They all knew her pain better than any other. The red-haired man looked at his brethren. There were seven of them. All were completely loyal to the doctor, they loved her dearly. They were, after all, her children. Helena?s creations. The red-haired man, Lust, was 6?, and had immoral red eyes. The woman to his left, Gluttony, was slender, and had short, orange hair, with eyes that were constantly searching for food. Next to her was Envy, an attractive, green-haired woman, and Pride, whose hair was jet-black, her mouth cocked into that mocking smile she often held. Away from the group was Sloth, sprawled out in a chair in the corner of the room, his spiked hair covering his face as he slept, Wrath, who stood besides the machinery, experimenting on lab rats, and Greed, who sat alone thinking of ways to use the Doctor?s experiments to make money. They were different?but united under one. The door to the lab slid open as the doctor walked in. She waltzed past her ?children? and walked to the machine charging behind all the other experiments. The Doctor put her hand against the machine, and her eyes lit up as she rubbed it. ?Dimensional travel. Even in this day and age?It is thought to be impossible. But..but I?ll show them. Today, I will travel to another dimension. It must happen today. I cannot fail. I?ve?I?ve sacrificed to much,? she slid her hands over the scars left from her wings, ?for it to fail. He promised?? + + +Outside + + + A young man and his friends rode frantically on their motorbikes towards the laboratory. They had received word of a nuclear bomb landing in this vicinity, and they had to warn the doctor. The young man, Shin, was the doctor?s son. And he knew that she planned to use the machine tonight. If he didn?t tell her not to?the result would be catastrophic. Mom?I have to get to you. I know this?project means everything to you, but you mean everything to me. He accelerated, leaning into his bike. He finally saw the lab in the distance. A smile passed his face. I made it. His thoughts were disturbed a yelp from behind. ?Shin! Look up!? Shin raised his head frantically, and his eyes opened wide at what he beheld. The nuke. Since warfare had advanced, they no longer needed to launch another bomb at it. Once it hit?Once it hit?It would all be over. Tears streamed from Shin's face, and he slowed bike to a stop. He sat there and he hit the handlebar of his bike furiously. Why? Why damn it? Light streamed over his face as he cried. So this is the end?wait? That light isn?t the? He looked up quickly. The light was shining from the lab. She had activated it. Her life dream was going to be destroyed, and her along with it. Shin watched the nuke crash into the lab, and watched as green and white light fused together. The wave of fluorescent light flowed over them, and then darkness. Across the fold of space and time: Seven people sat round in the holy chamber, listening to the horrid screams from the other room. Lust, in his Illusionist?s armor, grabbed the Sage?s outfit and brought it to his creator. He walked into the room, gave it to her, and ran his hand through her hair. He left, and she dressed. Her body shook violently from her transformation, but she kept together. She had finally mastered it. The lost Sage?s skill. Dimensional travel. And she would use it today. She would become the most powerful being alive. She finished dressing, then walked into the holy chamber, preparing to perform her spell. + + +Outside+ + + A Knight watched as the dwarf he was holding died. Was he lying? Were?were they really going to perform the Banishing Chasm Spell on her? Sending her straight to the fiery depths below? He wouldn?t let that happen to Helena. He had a mission to perform. He grabbed a wyvern, and took to the sky, flying of to the temple as quickly as he could. His comrades traveled in close pursuit behind him. He saw the temple at last, but it was to late. The barrier had been put up around the temple, to keep anything from getting out. The giant sorcerous circle in the sky above the barrier, and shot a green blast of energy down towards Helena. But from the temple emanated a blinding white light, one that shot forth and counteracted with destructive wave coming towards it. The lights fused and spread over the land. And then?darkness. ***** Two worlds. Two realities. Both worlds are suffering from a time of war, between two great powers. One reality?s war is fought with Mechs, machine guns, the other fought with beasts, sorcery. Doctor/Sage Helena, the most revered scientist/ powerful mage of her time, has finally made blueprints for a machine/ recovered a spell, to make dimensional travel possible. Determined to ensure that she would be successful, she made a deal with the dark one. He granted her a new form, and unlimited knowledge. With this knowledge she worked towards her dream. And, at the exact same moment in both realities, Helena put her method to test, only to have immeasurable amounts of energy interfere with the process. The result of these catastrophic events was simple. Two realities were destroyed. And one was created. Now the residents of both worlds have been fused together with their counterparts. Skilled snipers from the future have been melded together with their other world counterparts. Planes have fused with Phoenixes. Tanks and Behemoths have become one. And the two Helenas have finally come together, in a body far from human. But?She has gone mad. Wild with delirium, she seeks to reverse the ?chaos? she has caused by bringing together the two realms. And in her eyes, the only means of restoring order is by destroying the anomalies she?s created. No single being can stand up to her might. Except for them. Shin, Helena?s lover, and their comrades. ????? Countries of the Great Continents. Northern Continent [The Vermilion Lands]: I. The Realm of Gabriel Shooting Range- An area used for both veterans and beginners, this shooting range is where the greatest marksmen have come from, all around the world. Though not favorable of those from the Southern Continent, it accepts all. II. The Realm of Michael The Warrior?s Academy- Michael?s love for the art of the blade has caused him to open up a school for those interested in the pursuit of impressive swordsmanship. Spars are often held at the Academy, though of a different nature from the one?s held by the other leaders. Purely for good-natured fun, the only time the duals become deadly is when Michael takes a personal challenge. III. The Realm of Uriel The Ring- Uriel?s grand boxing ring, welcome for one and all to try their hand against the god of fighting. An unparalleled boxer, not a fighter has lasted more than a round against his swift fists. However, other fighters engage in battle in the ring as well, proving their dominance over one another. IV. The Realm of Raphael The Mages Academy- Not unlike Michael?s school, this school is devoted purely to the studies of all things magical. Ranging from elementalism to the feared art of necromancy, all you need to become the most powerful of mages is the will to live. And the ability to defeat Raphael. V. The Realm of Metatron- The Arena- All fighters gather to the golden gates of this coliseum every day with hopes of becoming the champion. Axe-wielders, swordsmen, and lancers of all shapes and sizes, amongst the other competitors, come and duel to the death. Only the foolish challenge Metatron, who?s blade alone causes the mightiest of me to tremble with fear. VI. The Realm of Sandalphon- The Grande Theatre- A place for the rich and the poor to come and share their love for the theatre. Plays go on every night, where even the dredge of society dresses up to watch these marvelous entertainers act. The playhouse can always be found packed on nights where Sandalphon himself performs. Southern Continent [The Crimson Earth]: I. Kingdom of Mephistopheles The Cathedral- This rather marvelous and impressive structure is visited by thousands a day, all searching for an answer to their life. All come world round to receive council from Mephistopheles and to hear how their lives will turn out. II. Kingdom of Abbadon The Citadel- A rather dark and quiet place that only the truly abstract of thinkers can appreciate for its dark beauty. Home to the most lost and desperate of society to visit and stay if need be, Abbadon herself patrols the hallways and large rooms with her mighty axe slung over her shoulders, making sure that all with in the fortress have a level of security. III. Kingdom of Lilith The Harem - Very entrancing place in itself, but the mere thought of a man to have instant companionship in the beautiful halls is enough to drive anyone mad. Very few men who enter actually come out... Because most men who enter end up dead. They either die of dehydration, starvation, or are murdered by the women they eagerly came to see. IV. Kingdom of Asmodai The Training Yard- Only a handful of students are allowed to actually train here, a small battalion of female warriors underneath Asmodai. People are allowed in all the time, however, to spectate, and strong females are allowed to single out one of Asmodai?s girls and fight them. If they win, they are allowed into the school, and the loser is killed on the spot. V. Kingdom of Mammon The Underground- Illegal boxing at it?s finest. Bare-knuckled warriors from across the globe come and put one another to shame, leaving in a bloodied mess if they leave at all. The king, or rather, the queen of the ring, Mammon, is always looking for a good fight. She?ll only accept battles against those she deems ?worthy?, however. VI. Kingdom of Beelzebub The Opera House- The voices of those who perform can be heard for blocks in every direction. These beautiful songs attract a full house every night, and never ceases to amaze the populace. Beelzebub always takes audience in these performances, and if they play goes in a way she doesn?t ?favor? the actors suddenly have a change of heart, or, more accurately, a loss of control. Here is the underground thread, where you can find information on the other characters that we?ll come across and where you can ask questions about the RPG. Each name is a link to the characters picture. Parallel Convergence:Alteration NPCs + + +Sins+ + + Helena?s children. In actuality they are physical manifestations of Helena?s sins. After Helena made her deal with the dark one, she found that her emotions increased ten fold, disturbed her studies, and causing her to lose her sanity. As her mind was slipping she decided that the easiest way to go about eliminating her ?problem? was to let her emotions out. She created corpses, and used her newfound abilities to imbue the sins into individual bodies. They now follow her faithfully, and she treats them like family. More so than both Arc and he lover. Lust- A red-haired creation of Helena. In the both realities he was an experienced illusionist, able to easily manipulate minds into seeing what is not their and feeling what is not real. He spent the most time with Helena, and during the nights that Helena?s spent slaving over her work he would accompany her. They formed a relationship, though Helena did so on an subconscious level. He?s a team player, and, except for the misplacement of morals, is a relatively nice guy. All the other Sins are good pals with him, and he?s one of the few who like Wrath. Gluttony- Small, orange-haired, hazel-eyed, and always searching for food, Gluttony?s looks are extremely deceiving and it?s a wonder that she maintains such a thin figure. Her insatiable hunger goes hand in hand with her super strength that she possesses. Her food fuels her; the more she eats the stronger she is. Liked all around, and tolerates Wrath. Envy- Envy, though quite striking, is always feels need for what others possess. She has long green hair, and dashing yellow eyes. She has the incredible power of metamorphosis, and is able to take any shape she please, even inanimate objects. If she changes into another person, she acquires almost every attribute, including finger prints and abilities. The only thing that she is unable to change is her eye color. Gets along with all of the other Sins, and tolerates Wrath like Gluttony and Lust. Pride- Cocky to a fault, Pride is every bit of what her name implies. Her eyes are a fiery red, her hair jet black. She was Helena?s favorite of the Sins, save Lust. Helena looked at her as more of her child than the rest. Pride?s power is fire manipulation. Able to create it, morph it, and disperse it, her ability matches her fiery temper. She and Lust get along well, and she?s gets along moderately well with everyone, but cannot stand Wrath. Sloth- Sloth is the second youngest of the group [older than Gluttony] and is treated as such. He?s quite the nuisance most of the time, seeing as he usually retreats to a nice couch and lets his eyelids cover his purple eyes and his blue hair fall over his face as he sleeps. When he does muster the strength to do battle, he is quite ferocious, and is almost as scary as Wrath. His nails turn into claws, and his teeth sharpen. His senses are increased dramatically, and so his physical strength. The most frightening part of the transformation is the inhuman speed he attains. Faster than the normal human eye can see, he blasts around his enemy, creating a maelstrom around them where he violently lashes at them with his claws. This ability is very tiring, and only lasts a few minutes. After his energy is spent he retracts to his normal self and sits back to watch the rest of the battle. Most of the other Sins ignore him, except for Wrath, who respects him. Wrath- The most frightening of the Sins, his body is mostly mechanical. He doesn?t hesitate to peel the flesh off of woman and children, and, if he?s in the mood, loves to prolong the pain he causes others. His hair is golden, but his eyes are black. His fangs are unbelievably sharp, and can tear through metal. A great silver, mechanical wing emits from his right shoulder blade. His abilities are quite the site, as long as you?re not on the receiving end of them. One of the abilities is quite like Lust?s illusions, only much worse. You are forced to live through the worst forms of torture, and every time one finishes your body is mended and you are put through another. His second, more fearsome ability, is his creation and manipulation of metal, and worse, of blood. He cannot control the blood as long as it is in your body, but once spilt, he can create weapons from it. Pools of a soldiers blood beneath him can be turned quickly into a pit of spikes. The most disturbing thing about his persona is that he?s happy-go-lucky, and loves to crack jokes, even while he?s skinning people alive. Greed- Greed is laid-back, and isn?t actually all that greedy. Though he does, on occasion, love to scam others and knock over jewelry stores or banks. His hair is dark brown, and his eyes are red. His ability is better suited for thievery and such, but combined with his master gunmanship, is quite dangerous. He has the skill of invisibility, though it?s much more powerful than normal invisibility. Not only can he not be seen, his breath cannot be heard, and he does not leave footprints. His aura is still detectable, but most aren?t powerful enough to sense his aura before he kills them. + + +Great Forces+ + + There are three great forces in this new fusion world. Two mighty emperors, Muchitsujo and Zetsumei, and the deranged doctor herself. Muchitsujo and Zetsumei have been at war for years, and are determined to become ruler. They have both made deals with dark lord just as Helena did, and are rumored to possess unknown dark powers. Muchitsujo- The proud ruler of the Northern region, and the king of tactics and battle strategies. He is also known to be an unrivaled swordsmen, though Zetsumei?s followers argue that Zetsumei is the better of the two. Muchitsujo is known for being able to cause exactly what his name means, chaos. Implying the use of smoke bombs, tiny explosives, and well trained shinobi and ninjas, his armies easily send their enemy into a state of panic and disorder. His weapon is a specially made katana, that is as tall as him. Muchitsujo?s Minions [The Vermilion Crusaders]: I. Gabriel, the Benevolent Shot- Leader of the Vermilion Crusaders, he?s the archetype of the perfect warrior. Heartless and emotionless, he?ll finish any job without any regard for who or what he has to go through. His weapons include: bow and arrows, handguns, shotguns, crossbows, rifles, snipers, and an array of other projectile weapons. II. Michael, the Righteous Rapier- Though a noble fighter, he is still ruthless when it comes to battle, a characteristic of most the Vermilion Crusaders. His rapier is swift and his strikes, precise. III. Uriel, the Renegade Fist- A rebel amongst the V.C. he doesn?t bow to the authority of any other member save Gabriel and Muchitsujo. His gauntlets have the force to split the earth with his immense strength. IV. Raphael, the Malevolent Magister- Rumored to be the strongest mage in all of the Northern Continent, he?s a force not to be trifled with. He uses his magic to slowly wear down his opponents, draining their life progressively. He is also proficient in one of the darkest forms of magic, Necromancy, and will often raise his victims to topple his opponents. V. Metatron, the Sadistic Swordsman- The most cutthroat and bloodthirsty of all the Vermilion Crusaders, his merciless tactics often cause him to disregard all surroundings and even strike his allies in his stride to victory. He wields only one blade, a mighty broadsword with a hilt as long as the blade itself. Comparable to the Sin Wraith. VI. Sandalphon, the Charismatic Whip- The only member of the Vermilion Crusaders that is not bloodthirsty or crazed. The most inspirational of them all, his true weapon?s his tongue. With only one word he can turn a man against everything he believes in, make them follow him without doubt. Only the truly strong of heart can see past his silky words. Zetsumei- The mighty ruler of the south, and the king of warfare in general. Weather is be land, sea, or air, Zetsumei?s forces are impenetrable and unstoppable. Her skill with a blade is awe-inspiring, and the only event more breath-taking than her or Muchitsujo training alone, is when the great warlords do battle with one another. Through her many battle she has caused much zetsumei, or death, and has earned the name ?The Grim Reaper?. Her blade is as fast as lighting, and those who look into her eyes are said to be paralyzed with fear. Her weapon is a specialized katana as well. Zetsumei?s Minions [The Crimson Valkyries]: I. Mephistopheles, the Traitors Prophet- The oldest of the band of sisters. Once a flame of Muchitsujo?s, she now works faithfully for Zetsumei, looking to take down the one she once loved. Though not truly a warrior, she is the most powerful of all the Crimson Valkyries, able to see the immediate future, meaning she?s basically untouchable in battle. Post Trial: In the Infirmary ????? Ayame exited the room, leaving a confused Havok, Rinoa, and Carrot. Havok shook off his confusion and looked over to Carrot in a confused manerism and questioned her as to her previous comment. "I can't quite understand why you'd call me an idiot, but none-the-less, I look forward to working on a team with you. I've seen your fire magi, and it's quite skilled and powerful. That'll definitely play into our teams strategies... Three skilled fire magic users can raise some serious hell. And when the wind picks up, fire can become a force not to be reckoned with." Rinoa smiled and leaned onto Havok, and the brief show of display kept either of them from noticing Carrot's slight smile. Carrot quickly reclaimed her previous attitude and yelled at Havok. "Yah, whatever! No one in here requires immediate attention, so you're just taking up room. Get out... And we can talk about meeting up and training later." She said the last of her sentence with a slight smile. Havok and Rinoa grinned at her and stood up, exiting the infirmary as well. Once outside, a thought suddenly came to Havok, and he truned to Rinoa quickly. "Sweetie, I gotta go take care of something quickly. I promised Blaize we'd talk after the trials, and lord know's he's trashing our room in some wild, celebratory ritual. I'll meet up with you, Carrot, and Sakura later for training, 'kay?" Rinoa nodded and leaned up to Havok, kissing him. She smiled and spoke softly. "Of course. See you later, love." They kissed again, and Havok departed for his room, looking for Blaize. He was sad that the two of them hadn't ended up in the same group, but at least they both made it through. They only faced one more task, and they'd be Risk Breakers soon. He was sure of it. His strength wouldn't fail him, not ever again. He knew now the true extent of his abilities, the faith his friends had in his ability. They would always be behind him. And in all honesty, Havok needed to go thank Blaize. Kyo and Blaize, even if they had oly been illusions, had been there to restore courage to him, moreso than his other friends, save Rinoa. Blaize probably wouldn't care, but he had to tell his friend that he had helped hi through in his time of need. He was also interested in finding out what had happened in Blaize's trial. Who knows how much they'd have before they needed to get back to preparing. Axel raised his chakrams up to engage in battle with Ferin when Roxas came bounding around the croner and tackled his aly to the side. Axel looked at him in frustration and attemted to thrown him off. "What're you doing? He's with the Organization! We gotta take care of him!" Roxas sighed and jumped off of him, pointing to the monster the crew had been fighting. "He's been helping them! He may be in Organization attire, but we were at one time too, remember? He's our ally for right now, and he doesn't seem to know anything about the Organization anyway." Roxas leaned in close to Axel to finish the rest of his sentence, "And anyway, if we keep him in one piece, he can tell us who exactly gave him that robe, who the new Organization is." Axel nodded and turned to the young warrior, outstretching his hand. "Sorry about that, I should really look before I lep from now on. I thought you were someone else. My name's Axel, and that there is Roxas. Got it memorized?" Axel lifted Ferin up and placed his hand on the back of his head, grinning. Ferin dusted himself and nodded towards the two of them. "Yah... My name's Ferin." Ferin said slowly, before he was knocked back by Roxas, with just enough time to miss the monster's massive hand collide with the ground where Ferin stood. Roxas summoned his keyblade and readied himself. He spun it a couple times and tossed it at the creature, using it as a distraction to talk to Ferin and Axel. "Once again, now's not the time for pleasantries! We'll get formally introduced later, but for now, we've come to help kick ass!" Roxas grabbed his keyblade as it came back to him. Ferin agreed and stood up, but was extremely tired so he fell back down. Roxas noticed out of the corner of his eye and clenched his teeth. He knew that Ferin wouldn't stand a chance against the creature in his current state. Roxas looked around on the battlefield, feeling out for the other warriors magic to judge which may have a curative spell. And he found that, in Kairi. "Kairi! Ferin needs your assistance! Me, Axel, Vivi, and the fox will take care of the creature!" Kairi nodded and ran towards Ferin, not questioning why the blonde-haired boy knew her name. It didn't actually seem all that wierd. The wolf-like creature ran towards Roxas and yelled at him. "My name is Red XIII, or Nanaki. Not 'the Fox'. Kay?" Roxas nodded and the two warrirors lunged at the creatire in a ferocious assualt. Axel joined them, and Vivi stood casting his fire spell on the monster, unleashing a blazing onslaught upon it. However, the creature still cam on strong, swinging its massive arms at the warriors. 5 Minutes Before Trial +++++ Havok held his cheek as Rinoa walked off to her trial. He wanted to run after her, to go with her, to be there to protect her, but he knew that now it was her fight, and that he had nothing to worry about. He put her bracelet on and watched as she entered. Rinoa was one of the best warriors and students he had ever met, and he knew she would come out of her trial and pass on to becoe Risk Breaker. His thoughts were interruped by Blaize's swagger. The two spoke for a while, and Havok's thoughts once again ensued. Blaize, Blaize and him had been friends since he made it to the academy. He had never understood their friendship, as they were two polar opposites, but they always managed to be there for each other. Havok knew he would be passing his test as well. His friend, and his friend's shotgun, were enough to take down any enemy. Havok grasped his friends hand before he began to walk off. "Well, I'm off to do my test. See you and everyone else after it's over." Blaize and Havok nodded at each other and walked off in opposite directions. Havok stopped in front of his door and surveyed it. Would he pass today as well? His friends, they would all move on. He knew them front and back, and he knew that they were all great warriors, with their own strengths, even if they didn't believe in themselves. He intended on joining them, but was he strong enough? Though things had been getting better for him lately [great friends, wonderful girlfriend] he had always been known to have bad luck. What if he couldn't pass? He'd be a failure, a disgrace. Everything he worked towards would be finished, gone, destroyed, he would lose everyhing that made him who he was. Would his friends still stand by him if he wasn't strong enough? Would Rinoa still love him? Would he be able to face himself? Regardless, of what may happen, he would never know until he tried. He walked into the room, blades drawn. Trial of the Tragic Hero [Face-off against Inner Despair] +++++ The room was pitch black, Havok could barely see an inch in front of his face. He kept his blades at the ready, alert for anything that may prove a threat. A light shone down dead center in front him, and in the light was Rinoa. Throwing all caution to the wind, Havok sheathed his blae and caught Rinoa as he body begoan to collapse. He held her and looked into her eyes. "Are you okay? Rinoa!" Rinoa nodded and looked at him. She grinned and nodded at him. She laughed happily. "I passed no problem. It's sad I can't say the same for you." Her laughter continued, leaving Havok confused. What did she mean? She honestly couldn't be saying she didn't think he would pass, could she? She looked at him and sighed, getting up from his arms and walking away from him. She spoke coldly. "How could you even think you would pass, hmm? I know you Havok, and I looked up to your mastery of Fire Magi... But you're a coward. You'll always be a coward, never facing your problems." Havok looked at her, hurt and dumbfounded. She laughed heartlessly at his confusion. "You honestly don't know what I'm talking about? You ran away from home! How could you do that to your family? How do I know you won't do that to me? To your friends? Run away from everything because it gets to hard? You've already shown your lack of courage, lack of faith in yourself...You're so overprotective of me. Why?" Havok answered shakily, broken by her comments. "Because I love you. I would never want anything to happen to you." Kyo walked out from the darkness and laughed at Havok as well. "You know that's only partly true. You're so overprotective, because you know you could never protect her if something did happen to her. You're not strong enough." Havok felt tears in his eyes as Kyo said that. Was it true? No, no it wasn't. Havok would protect her with all the he is. But would that be enough? Another voice answered the question in his head. "You wouldn't be. You'd try, maybe. If you did, you'd lose horridly, and know in your soul you were the reason she was hurt. Or maybe you'd just run? Then you'd never have to know what became of her. And it wouldn't be your responsibility, would it? You weren't there, so what could you have done? You coward." More laughter, and more of his friends appeared. Carrot, Alex, Sakura, Ayame, more of the people he cared for appeared around him, mocking his weakness relentlessly. Havok fell to his knees, so distraught that his mind started to forget that he had come to take his final. Did his friends really see him in that light? Did they all think of him like? It didn't matter. He thought of himself that way. And they all knew it. They all did because he did as well. They hated him because he hated himself. All his bad luck had been broughten about by himself. All his suffering was his own doing. He didn't deserve them. He didn't deserve to be a Risk Breaker. He didn't deserve to be with Rinoa. He had thought those thoughts so many times. Did this mean they were all true? Was he really just illusioning himself with the love of his comrades? With Rinoa's love? His head throbbed as tears flowed down his face. Another voice reached his ear, causing him to gasp. "Crying? You're crying? You were supposed to be a great warrior! I fought your mother everynight so that you could reach your full potential, and here you are now, crying? All the pain I caused your mother for this? You're an even worst dissapoint then I could have imagined all these years." Havok's father spoke in a harsh tone, shaking his head in disgust. Havok's mother walked from the darkness as well, crying sadly. "Your father and I fought for years for you. I wanted the best for you, and you ran. You ran from your family. You left us. I never thought my boy... wouldn't be strong enough to face life..." She burst into tears once more and leaned onto Havok's father. He spat at his son. "You're mother's crying again! And it's all your fault!" Havok reached out, barely able to talk. "M..mm...mom...I didn't...Da..dad..." They looked at him, thoroughly disgusted and walked past him. Havok looked up to his friends, who started walking past him as well, Rinoa the last of them. They stood lined behind him, and they all spoke in unison. "You're nothing but a failure, a weakling, a coward, a spineless worm. You don't deserve any of the things you have. And now it's time for your true fate. One of misery." The figures began to glow, their magi apparent in all of them. Havok held his head down as they merged into one being, one enitity, a massive Dragon, each finger on it's right hand a manifestation of their weapons, and on the left, their magi. Havok looked at his hands as the tears fell. One tear shone brightly on his wrist, catching his attention. It had fallen on Rinoa's bracelet. He stared at it, remembering the warm kiss she had given him. He remembered the feeling of joy he recieved knowing they were finally together, knowing he could be with her. Quickly he looked at Rinoa before she became a part of the massive Dragon. No necklace around her neck. He couldn't even sense the necklace. He stood up and faced the creature, needing to make sure it really wasn't the people he loved. He spoke shakily, yet with more confidence. "Rinoa! If it's over between us...If you truly no longer care for me, if you think me a coward... Why not take back your gift?" The creature turned it's head inquisitively, unsure of what Havok meant. That proved it for him. He grasped his blades and drew them, going at the creature. Almost immediately the Dragon attacked back, with Blaize's shotgun. Havok dodged the scatter fire swiftly, striking at the dragon's leg. It roared with pain and looked down at him, rearing it's head back and unleashing a tornado like blast atop Havok. Havok's body was tossed violently, before he regained control. He snapped his fingers on both hands and caused a massive explosion in the Dragon's mouth. It roared again, and a green light appeared around it. It was healing itself! Havok frowned and was taken aback as the Dragon spoke in Rinoa's voice. "Still a weakling!" A massive claw struck the ground, havok barely dodging it. He ran out of the way swiftly as the Dragon reared it's head back and unleashed flames upon the ground. Havok fell over panting. Blaize and Kyo spoke in unison now, as the Earth shook and sharp icicles shot at him. "Still running!" A chakram flew at him quickly, hitting him violently in the face. Havok fell over and was then struck forcefully in the back with a mace. On his back now, he watched as the Dragon raised it's foot to finish him. He looked at it helplessly. He could move, he could get up, hell, he could fight... But was it worth it? Could he win? The Dragon's foot plummeted down, but was stopped by a bright light, and a voice. "You can! We know you can!" Havok's bracelet glowed, unleashing a flaming barrier. He could feel the warmth of his friends, the warmth of Rinoa, the love of his parents flowing through his body. He could think clearly all of a sudden. He knew the truth. He friends were always behind him. The only one who felt the way those fakes described was himself. Even though his friends did know his thoughts, they always had faith in him. They always knew he could do anything. Suddenly the light enhgulfed his mind, and he was standing outside of the school again, 12 years old, holding a letter. Tears were streaming down his face, but they were tears of joy. He had recieved a letter from his mother and father. They had heard he was taken there, and that his progress was remarkable, and they couldn't be prouder of him. How could he have forgotten this memory? Rinoa appeared in front of him, and suddenly Havok was older again. "You forgot because of your guilt. You left, and they still loved you, never held it against you, still wanted to see you. You thought you didn't deserve that. Every year they sent a message, saying how proud they were, how they wanted to see you after Finals. You always buried the memories, though. Never responded. You thought you couldn't face them." Havok nodded, remembering all the times now. His parents appeared before him next. "We're still waiting for you son. But we want to see you. We love you. Don't ever doubt that. You weren't running away from your problems all those years ago. You were running to face them. But you wanted to do it alone." Blaize and Kyo appeared next to him, leaning on him. "You know you don't have to do it alone. We're here, and we'll always be here. All of us." Havok's friends began to reappear, one by words, uttering words of reassurance, of kindness. Finally Havok saw everything clearly. He knew not these, nor the Dragon were the actual people, but the way he percieved them. The Dragon was his doubts, the lies, the insecurities. These people, these were the truth. And it came to aid him, to give him strength. He smiled down at his bracelet, clenched his fist and looked up at them. "I won't let you all down! I'll see you after the final, one and all. Even you, mum and dad." He closed his eyes and raised his hand up, then opened his eyes again. The flame shield was in front of him again, the Dragon applying more force with it's foot. Havok concentrated, and coverted the shielding energy into explosive energy and blasted the Dragon backwards. It shot another blast with it's shotgun, but it merely pierced the air. Havok was gone. The Dragon looked around for it's opponent, before recieving kick to the face. It toppled over, giving Havok enough time to focus his magi into his fingertips and place a hex on the Dragon's head. The Dragon wasn't down for long however, and quickly swiped Havok away. The Dragon unleashed another plume of flame, but halfway through, swayed woosily. Havok grinned. His heating hex was going into effect. With the amount of energy the Dragon was putting into the fight, it would pass out from exhaustion in no time. He just had to get it that point. And he knew exactly how. The Dragon raised it's tail up and struck the ground with ferocity, but it staggered once again from exhaustion. Havok could see steam rising from it. As the Dragon tried to regain balance, Havok concentrated all of his magi into his fingertips and his right hand. Red electricity sparked around them, and his whole body turned red. He concentrated all of his positive thoughts, all the warm moments, and the feeling he had into his attack. Flames leapt from the energy encircling him as he unleashed his strength. "Vermilion Phoenix Snap!" A giant fire phoenix sprung from his fingers and went at the Dragon, attacking every spot it could. The Dragon twisted it's head round in circles, unleashing attack after attack on the fire manifestation while healing itself, unaware that the "creature" it tried to take down could not truly die. The Dragon began swaying again as it's stamina depleted. Havok nodded and jumped high into the air, summoning the phoenix fire back to him. He concentrated the fire into his weapons, and spun like a top as he descended to the Dragon. "Time to end this!" Still spinning, he struck at the Dragon countless times, until finally, the Dragon burned out, and unleashed one last attack on him. Rearing it's head back, it unleashed a massive plume of hellfire atop Havok, who spun straight into it's mouth with all of his strength, and then, everyhting went white, and all he could hear was a voice. His own. He was standing in fron of himself in the light. His reflection extended it's hand. "You did it. You bested your fears, your doubts, your insecurites. You passed. I always knew you could." Havok smiled and took his reflection's hand. "So did I." The figure dissapeared and the darkness flooded out of the room. Havok laughed happily and limped towards the doorway smiling. Rinoa [Slightly After Her Trial] +++++ Rinoa stood outside in the hallways now, watining for the others to finish. So far Lazarus, Alex, James, Blaize, and Carrot had, and she had gone and greeted them happily, even Blaize, glad to know her friends had made it along as well. But still, Havok wasn't out. Was he okay? Had something happened to him? She stared at his door intently, holding the cross he had given her around her neck. Finally, Havok's doors opened. The others came to see as well, and were amazed by the sight. Havok's clothes were severely burned, his skin was cut, and he had bruises all over. He walked towards them, looking down and holding his stomach. Rinoa felt her eyes water and quickly ran over to help him. He had passed, but look at his condition. He needed help, and he needed it very, very soon. She couldn't wait for the nurse, however, as Havok collapsed into her arms. She quickly lowered herself and him to the ground, and, holding her hands over his chest, spoke shakily, crying with pride at his performance and with sorrow for his wounds. "Tsubasa no Ai." A green light surronded Havok, and his eyes flickered open. Rinoa gasped slightly with joy and hugged him tightly. Havok held her close, resting his head against her contently. She smiled at him. "I was so worried... But you're okay. I'm so proud of you." Havok grinned and lifted himself up slighlty, looking into her eyes. "And look at you! You passed before me. The student shows up the teacher, eh? I knew you'd do it." He leaned closer to her and kissed her lightly on the lips. Rinoa blushed as he pulled lightly away from her. He winked and opened his hands, revealign her bracelet in them, completely shielded from the flames, and perfect in condition. He looked at her lovingly. "I promised I'd bring it back. I always promise to come back to you." He ran his hand through her hair, staring intently into her eyes, and they slowly came together again, kissing passionately. ------ OOC: I hope that's fine, I couldn't help but add in the romantic part at the end. ^.^ And yes, Havok and Rinoa are official. Yay!

Roxas ginned at Riku, who was clearly confused by the blonde haired boys knowledge of him. Riku would certainly recognize him in due time as Sora's nobody... seeing as they had met before. But alas, now was not the time for introductions. Roxas nodded to Axel, who nodded back. Roxas jumped up, his feet landing in Axel's hands, and Axel launched him forward using his fire abilities. Roxas sprung through the air, slashing at the dusks and clearing the ones in front of Riku. He quickly turned to look at the silver haired youth and grinned. Riku's face opened in suprise as he recognized the young man. Roxas nodded and spun around, taking out another swarm of dusk. Riku spoke to Roxas quickly. "You're... Sora's nobody! But how? How do you exist again...erm..." Roxas grinned and shook his head, attacking more nobodies. There were to many of them, especially for the three of them. Axel was holding his own, but was starting to have his problems, and Riku was injured. But Roxas knew the exact way to level the playing field. He reached into his pocket and pulled out a pendant. "Drive! Vermilion Phoenix Form!" Roxas's body was raised into the air, and an orange fire surronded his body in a cocoon type thing. Roxas was out of a view for a second, before the flames exploded, leaving a dual-wielding Roxas with auburn hair. Roxas threw his keyblade threw a wave of heartless using the power of fire. He dashed through, retrieved it, and jumped back to Riku, turning to him. "The name's Roxas. Got it memorized?" Axeljumped next to ROxas and hit him over the head with his chakram. "That's my line." Roxas and Axel jumped into the crowd of nobodies, lighting them ablaze and keeping them far from Riku. Roxas fought happily, despite the mess of nobodies. If Riku was hear, then so was Sora. Maybe they could meet again. And if they were here, then so was Kairi...and maybe Namine.

He approached her slowly, smiling and thinking of how exactly to go about cheering her up. Seeing her burst into tears had made his heart sink, and he wanted nothing more than to see her smile again. He felt responsible for her outburst. He had been so intent on impressing her, and he had practiced that for quite a while now, hoping to show her. He should have explained that that move took a while of practice, instead of just showing off. The heart she had created, though... He dearly hoped it was meant for him. He walked to her and put his hands over her eyes. "Guess who." She gasped slightly and then giggled. She would have played along, but she was still slightly distraught, and Havok understood perfectly fine. He took his hands down and sat next to her, pretending to be interested in the view as she wiped away her tears. Deciding that it was fine to talk again, Havok engaged her in conversation. "That heart you made was amazing. My first time preforming that move, the flames just danced in my hands, burned me, and then blew up. Took me forever to finally get my fire magi to stop exploding." Laughing again. Havok couldn't help but smile broadly. Rinoa was amazingly dazzling, and she smiled like an angel. Rinoa noticed the large smile on his face and blushed, causing Havok to blush too. He scratched the back of his head and looked away for a moment. "Y..you know... If you're interested... me and you could get together sometime and work on your fire magic. I could show you how to do that move in no time... If you want of course. I wouldn't want to take up any of your time--" Rinoa interuppted him quickly. "No! I mean, of course I'd love to. It'd be no problem." Havok's smile grew larger, and his face grew redder. He brushed his nose with his thumb and stood up offering Rinoa his hand. "Ready to go back to class, Rinoa? If not, I'm fine with staying out here with you for a while..." Rinoa would have loved to stay there with Havok, but she knew they really should go to class. She nodded and took Havok's hand, standing up. The two stood there together for a second, before realizing they were still holding hands. Havok and Rinoa let their hands drop quickly and Havok opened the door nearest to them for her to walk through. "Ummm...I...uh... guess we should back now." Rinoa nodded quickly and rushed through the door. The two walked back to class silently, though they did stand closely together. Havok noticed their classroom coming up when all of a sudden a though passed through his mind. The horse hadn't been the only shape he had practiced. His mind urged him forward. Show her, show her! Havok thought quickly and then lightly grabbed Rinoa's arm. She stopped quickly and looked at him. "Yes?" Havok blushed slightly and then held her hands, rasing them up to chest level. He attempted to speak levely. "I think a quick lesson might be in order. Focus on our hands, focus on the fire magi flowing through us, connecting the two of us." Rinoa closed her eyes, concentrating. Havok nodded. "Now... concentrate on a rose shape. Think you're holding a rose." She did so, and all of a sudden sparks started between them, burst, and became a rose. Rinoa smiled broadly and happily. "I did it! And no explosion!" Havok laughed happily and took his hands from her, still holding the firey rose. He concentrated harder, and the rose exploded with life, becoming a bouqet of flowers. Havok handed them to Rinoa. "For you." Rinoa blushed deeply, and then the flowers burst into a display of lights, stars, and hearts, before dissapearing. Havok smiled, hoping she liked the display. He had practiced it for ages on Blaize, who simply detested being Havok's test dummy. Rinoa closed her eyes and smiled widely at Havok, causing his heart to skip a beat. He started to open his mouth but no words came out, he was so flustered. All he could do was open the classroom door for her. She walked into the room, sitll smiling sweetly. Instructor Atsu smiled at the the two of them, simply telling them to take their seats. Havok took his across from Rinoa and sank happily into it. This class continued to be his favorite one of the day. His heart still racing, he opened his book to the page he was supposed to be reading and pretended to read, but his thoughts continued to wander to her. +++++ OOC: My apologies, but I'm quite the fan of romance. Hope all this is fine with you KW, and I hope I did an appropriate job of portraying Rinoa.

A shrill beeping noise echoed throughout the room, stirring its inhabitant in a most unpleasant way. This beeping had actually been going on for ages, but only had Havok's consciousness come to. He rolled over and slammed hard on the alarm clock, nye breaking it. He frowned and held his face, looking around and wondering why it was so bright outside. He stared down at his alarm clock and gasped. "Oh no! I'm late! Class already started!" Havok sprung out of bed and flew over to the bathroom, showering as quickly as possible. He jumped out, barely drying off, and threw on his school uniform, grabbed his bag, and flew down to the courtyard. Now of all times he didn't want, no, couldn't afford to be late to class. His exams, the ones that really counted, weren't very far off, and he had to pass. His whole life had been leading up to this, and now he would finally be able to ascend to his true power... If he passed, of course. Any last minute studying he could get in would definitely improve his well being, but he knew most things backwards and forwards. He was actually quite intelligent, which some found was hard to believe, as most who took up elemental fire magic were thought to be hot heads. Some were, such as, but for the most part, fire elementalists were strong people. Where they were strong varied, but head strong was the usual classification. Havok was heart strong, at least visually. And that was the real reason he was blasting to his classroom… She would be there, and his heart very much approved of the idea. Havok’s thoughts kept him busy until he almost ran into three other students. Bumping into he male of the group, he quickly went to apologize when he realized who it was. Kyosuke. Havok grinned and smiled at his friend. “Hey Kyosuke! Sorry about that man, I was in a hurry---“ Havok’s voice trailed off as he noticed who the two girls were. The cute, yet overly active Ayame, and…her. Rinoa. Havok’s face instantly blushed when he saw her, but the blush quickly went away when he noticed she was blushing as well. Obviously from Kyosuke, he thought as his stomach tightened. He grinned as couteously as he could and bowed to the two ladies. “Hello Ayame and Rinoa. Almost didn’t notice you guys there. So what’re we all up to?” +++++ OOC: Terribly sorry about the short length, but I was stopped halfway through typing, and have to get off now, so I had to improvise. Hope this alright with everyone.

Hey guys, I managed to snag a computer for a bit, so I got on as fast as I could. In reference to my character, any interaction with him is a-o-k from any character, and feel free to control him as you see fit, so long as his personality is taken into account. I'll be posting once today, and hopefully when we get into a hotel, there'll be a computer, in which case I'll try and post as often as possible. Thank you mucho, Doublehex, for keeping my character in the RPG even with me being gone for this time. I really appreciate it. ^.^

Name- Havok Vermilion Age- 17 [18 in two weeks] Student Template- [Free Spot] The Tragic Hero Weapon- Twin Short Blades School of magic- Elemental Magic [Fire] Minored school of magic-Black Magic Abilities/Spells-
Fire Snap: All Havok needs do is snap his fingers and a plume of flame in a lightning shape hits his enemy, or the snap causes an explosion wherever he directs it. His favorite variation of this ability is when he turns the fire into a phoenix type shape that "flys" around and attacks enemies at Havok's discreption

Temperature Blayze: Havok can increase the temperature around him by heating his own inner core up. The heats, ranging from mild, to intense, can be used to melt items or disorient enemies. If he puts enough energy into this move, he can create a heat whirlwind of sorts in the room that attacks his opponents. This move can also be used to jam guns.
Personality- Havok is the epitome of a gentleman, a hero, and a friend, but it often seems that he has no luck whatsoever in his own life. Things constantly go wrong in his own life, the only constants being that his friends always stick by him, he's always there for others, and all good things come to a quick, abrupt end. His great personality attracts various people to him, but it's often a mask for his inner sorrow and suffering. However, only those extremely close to him see the negative side of his person; he feels that to trouble others with his own problems would be inconvenient and showing weakness in himself. Also, although popular among women, he usually doesn't have any luck with them. They approach him wholeheartedly as friends, but rarely do emotions ever evolve further than that in his direction. Despite this, he is often envied by his other male friends for the sheer fact that most of his friends are female, and trust him with their lives. In battle, Havok's personality doesn't actually change. He's polite, courteous, and has a great humor about him. He takes his fights seriously, but won't thrash his opponent to a pulp in a wild rage of savagery. He's always cool-headed, and never insults, disrespects, cheats, or tricks his opponent in battle. A good sportsman, almost to a fault, even an accidental low blow warrants an apology from this warrior. Don't be mistaken, though. He's one of the best fighters of his class. Physical appearance-Havok. Havok's vermilion eyes lay behind his square-rimmed glasses and black hair that falls over his right eye. He stands at 6'0'' and his 160 lb. body is leanly toned and fairly muscular. His skin is slightly bronzed from various training exercises with his fire capabilities. His hair, also, is red on his bangs that fall over the right side of his face as an effect of numerous training courses. Everyday attire-When out of his school uniform, Havok usually wears a white zip-up, hooded t-shirt underneath a black leather jacket. Over his legs are dark blue jeans with a faded front, and a chain on his right side that leads to his wallet in his back pocket. Black, fingerless gloves cover his hands, and black shoes with a white skull on the upper part of the heel cover his feet. Background- Havok was born to a philosopher and a proud warrior. Born in Imbecali, yound Havok was raised with the firmest belief in morals, chivalry, and the truth and righteousness of the Blade and of Knowledge. Well liked by all, many of his parents friends predicted a bright future ahead of their son, whom could be spotted with heightened intelligence, marvelous strength, and an innate ability over fire. His mother feared this ability, for they knew that children prone to magical abilities were often take by the Seekers and raised by them. Though she wanted a wonderful life for her son, she wanted to watch it happen. His father, however, jumped at the idea of his son being taken to an Academy and being raised into a great warrior. The happy couple bickered over the matter for ages, and eventually the bickering became arguing, became yelling. The harshness was never directed towards their beloved son, but Havok was kept awake many a nights by the screams passed between the two people he loved most. And he knew why they argued, why they were unhappy. It was because of him and his unusual ability. Though he would have loved to stay with his family, to grow up with them, he knew it would always be a conflict between them, and the easiest thing to do would be to run away. He ran for ages, until finally the seekers caught up with him. He gladly accepted his welcome to the Argo Arx Arcanum Academy, which he had heard was one of the best academys ever created. He grew up to be everything his father and mother wanted: A young, chivalrous warrior with a real head atop his shoulders, loved by all. However, Havok never kept in contact with his family, for fear of what may have developed between them. His thoughts often drift to his beloved parents, but he's firm in his standing; they'd be better off without him. +++++ OOC: Alas, I'm saving my spot. I'm working on this right now, but I wanted to save a Free Spot. :^D EDIT: Woohoo! Finished. I'll probably edit it again later to make it better, though. EDIT2: Changed Havok's appearance.

The crimson sun shone brightly over Twilight Town, bathing the citizens in it's vibrant light. Things were relatively calm today, perfect circumstances for an afternoon of thought, especially for Twilight Town's denizen Roxas. He had been a whole being for months, suprisingly, and it still didn't feel right. For him to have his own being again, he must have some purpose as such. He still wielded the Keyblade, and he still had the ability to fight the Heartless and Nobodies. So then was his destiny now? Since the appearance of the clooked man, Axel, and the reappearence of his Keyblade, nothing interesting had happened. The occasional Heartless would appear, and the nobodies has almost ceased to appear. The only nobodies left in the city were the actual people, save for a few. Roxas knew that he, Axel, Seifer, Fuu, Rai, and Vivi were whole beings...but Hayner and the gang...They were nobodies of Sora's friends. "Roxas!" Roxas snapped back into the present as Hayner's voice reached his ears. He turned around and walked into their Hangout Spot. Axel was sprawled out on the couch near the wall having a conversation with Olette, Pence was tossing darts at the dart board [and missing horribly], and Hayner was leaning against the wall on the pool table. He grinned at sight of Roxas and called his buddy over.Roxas walked over smiling and him and Hayner did their handshake. Hayner spoke tauntingly, yet playfully. "Jeez, man! You just sit out there some times, it's so wierd. Did you act like this with the other us?" Roxas had explaine dthe alternate Twilight Town to his friends, and they had understood. It was almost as if nothing had changed for Roxas, saving Axel now being a part of the group. Though there was tense air at first from Axel's previous exploits, upon explaining his motive, he was instantly accepted. Now Roxas had everything he wanted. His own friends, his own life. But something was brewing, and Roxas could feel it. "Actually, yah, I did. Guess things never change, huh?" Everybody laughed and Hayner patted his friend on the shoulder. "Well, Roxas, I know one thing that'll never change. The five of us," he gestured to them all, "will always be friends. So long as you don't get hit by a car while your daydreaming." More laughs, and Roxas eased into the couch next Axel. Roxas looked at him, and Axel nodded. They both grinned and hit fists together. Pence threw his last dart and turned to the gang. "Well? Whaddowedo now---" He was interrupted by a scream from outside. Axel and Roxas looked at each other quickly and then jumped up, running outside. Down around the sandlot area there were creatures attacking the civillians. Roxas gasped upon spotting them. "Nobodies!" Roxas drew his katana and transformed it into his keyblade. Axel stuck out his hands and summoned his chakrams. They hit their weapons together and ran towards their enemies, but both stopped dead when they arrived. Their were both Nobodies and Heartless assaulting the city. Roxas was amazed. "Heartless and Nobodies? I sense the hand of this new Organization...and another force." Axel wasw about to respond when a Samurai nobody sprung at him and attacked. Axel jumped back and tossed his chakrams into the Samurai, pulled them out, spun around, and finished it with a final slash. Axel looked at Roxas. "We'll talk later, but for now, let's take care of the enemies!" Roxas nodded and went to work. They made quick work of the Dusks and the Shadows, the Soldiers and the Creeprs. But then came the hard part. Iron Knights and Samurai were coming relentlessly, but the two warriors would not give in. High above them, on the Twilight Town rooftops was Hayahmo, observing the keyblade wielder. "Hmmm...He is quite the resilient one, isn't he? Very much like his other... This does breed trouble... But alas, we'll deal with him when the time comes. Good-bye, Roxas, Number Thirteen." And with that, Hayamho departed, seen by none. Roxas dealt another blow to an Iron Knight when suddenly the Heartless and Nobodies dissapeared. Roxas frowned and lowered his keyblade. He turned to Axel, who shrugged cluelessly. "No idea man." Roxas frowned and gripped the keyblade tightly. A sudden appearance of Heartless and Nobodies that dissapear as soon as they appear... What was going on? Roxas's thoughts dispersed quickly as he sensed two new presences in Twilight Town. One had a keyblade, and the other was oddly familiar. Neither seemed like a threat, so Roxas ignored them for the moment. His first concern was to get to Sora, to Riku, to Kairi, but he knew, or rather, could feel, that they would be arriving soon. So what was he to do now? If he was to sit and wait again, he wanted to do something in his wait. And suddenly it cae to him. The Keyblader! That new presence, currently located in the Clocktower, deifintely needed to be looked in to. Roxas looked at Axel, then motioned towards the clock tower. "Follow me." Axel nodded and ran off behind Roxas. Roxas held his Keyblade to the side, in case they ran into trouble again. He mumbled lowly under his breath. "What new adventure awaits?" +++++ OOC: I hope it's alright that we're headed towards your character, Doublehex. I figured a meeting or some conflict would spice things up for us Twilight Towners. I also hope it's fine, KW, that I had Hayahmo watching Roxas's progress for a while.

Name- Roxas Age- 16 Side- Light Story- With this new conflict confronting the bearers of the keyblade, The forces of light need all the allies they could summon. So the light from the Keyblade split from Sora once again the shell Roxas, only now, he possess his own heart and soul. Now Roxas truly exists, and he is out to finish the battle against the heartless with Sora, Riku, Kairi, and hopefully, Namine. When reborn, Roxas was brought to twilight town, where he was truly able to meet Hayner, Olette, and Pence. The gang hung out happily, and together they fought the Dusks and Shadows that appeared in their city. However, Roxas could not summon the keyblade, so he used a sword crafted by Hayner. Surprisingly, their exploits against the heartless one day brought them to the mansion, where Roxas was also reunited with Axel, who had been reborn into a teenager form, like Roxas. Roxas extended a warm welcome to Axel, and Axel became a part of the group, getting along with the others as well. One day, a black cloaked man appeared to the group, and Roxas and Axel immediately identified him by dress. An Organization member. Axel summoned his chakrams, and Roxas went to attack the figure, when in his hand finally returned his keyblade, Twilight?s Right. Reunited with the keyblade, he was about to engage the mysterious figure when it uttered one word and then vanished. ?Riku.? Roxas?s mind flittered back to the fights he had endured against Riku. He had won their 1st battle, but was defeated the 2nd time by a much different Riku. Roxas also knew that Sora and Riku were best friends, not unlike him and Hayner, and that his other would undoubtedly be heading out on some perilous plight for his best friend, to save him from the forces of darkness now intent on taking Riku. Roxas now waits in anticipation for the other keyblade wielders. Knowing his mission could be dangerous, Hayner gave Roxas a pendant that allows Roxas to "Drive"; an ability that Sora once learned that stuck with Roxas. In this state he has the strength of Hayner on top of his own. Axel understands this mission as well, and has given Roxas a pendant, too, allowing him the power of fire that Axel has in his arsenal. Roxas's new abilties were gladly accepted, as he knew that the playing field in this battle had just been upped. He could sense Keyblades appearing in various worlds, powerful keyblades, some more powerful than the Ultima Weapon. All he could hope was that the wielders of these keylades were allies, and not deadly advesaries. Personality- Roxas is no longer the inquisitive soul he was before. Now that he knows the truth of what he originally was, he has come to terms with it, and he leads a relatively normal life now, as one who truly does exist. He harbors the same naïve sense of justice that Sora does, and won?t allow the innocent to continue being preyed upon by the Heartless and the Nobodies. He wishes to see Sora again one day so that the two can "meet" again. His truest wish, however, is to once again see Namine. Weapon- Twilight?s Right- Roxas?s keyblade is essentialy the Fenrir keyblade given to Sora by Tifa, only it doesn't always take the shape of a keyblade. In it's dormant shape, it's the katana Hayner created for Roxas. In intense battle, it reverts to it's keyblade form. This keyblade, however, is a direct manifestation of Roxas's own strength, and is thus as powerful or as weak as Roxas believes it to be. When in Ultima Form, Roxas summons the Alliance, which is essentially the One Winged Angel given to Sora by Sephiroth. This blade is equal in strength to Twilight's Right. When in Vermillion Phoenix Form, Roxas's secondary keyblade is the Bond Of Flame, and though weaker than Twilight's Right, it's fire capabilities are beyond comparison, and greatly enhance fire based moves. Magic/ Abilities- Strike Raid- Roxas hurls the Keyblade at his enemies and brings down to size any creature before him, then returns along the path it went to Roxas?s hands. There are many variations of this move, all with the same basic principle. Drive [Ultima Form]- Hayner gave Roxas a pendant before he left that, upon activating, allows Roxas Hayner's strength, and thus, Roxas can summon another keyblade, the Alliance, and he does battle with both. His strength is increased and he's twice as fast in this state. A regen like ability is also constantly in effect. Roxas's physical appearance alters slightly as well, his hair becomes a browner shade. Drive [Vermillion Phoenix Form]- Roxas obtains some Axel's power through his pendant, and he can shoot fireballs from the palm of his hand, the tip of his keyblade, or set his keyblade ablaze with the power of fire. He can also surrond himself in a firey barrier. In this form, his secondary keyblade is the Bond Of Flame. Also, in this form, Roxas's hair becomes an auburn color. Picture- Though Roxas?s physical appearance has not changed, save for his hair being longer in the back, his wardrobe has dramatically. Shaking the attire of the nobody Roxas, he now wears a white tangtop, and over that a black hoodie-jacket with white stitching and lining. On the right shoulder of his hoodie-jacket is a vermillion colored nobody symbol. His shorts are gray with white patches over the legs, and his shoes are black with white keyblade X?s. Around his neck is a pair of goggles, and on his hands are black, fingerless gloves with white nobody symbols. +++++ EDIT: I changed some info about Roxas, including his Magic, Appearance, Personality, Story, and Weapons. I hope this is alright.

Remy frowned as he walked along the halls of Xavier's School. He was used to living off the streets, making quite the life as a pickpocket, only having to worry for himself. He had come here thinking the change would be good for himself, but he had yet to adjust to the thought of being on a team. He certainly hadn't gotten used to being around other mutants all the time. Most of the time he had to be on guard for some anti-mutant faction attempting to kill him, and he hadn't quite been able to lower his paranioa. He had almost lit a student up with one of his exploding cards. He crossed paths with quite a few of the other students, but payed most of them no mind. They were all comfortable with each other, most being around much longer than he himself. Very few of the other students got close to him, those of who did included Peter, a.k.a. Collossus, Anna, a.k.a. Rogue, and Kitty, a.k.a. Shadowcat. Remy also favored Wolverine amongst the other teachers. So absorbed by his thoughts, Remy ran headon into Peter. Peter swayed slightly if at all, and Remy was knocked back forcefully. Peter grinned sheepishly and extended his hand. "Sorry, Remy. Corners and I don't agree. Then again, most people know when I'm going around one." Remy laughed and grasped Peter's hand, his friend helping him up. Remy brushed himself off and smiled at Peter. "So what's on the agenda for today, hmm, buddy?" Peter shrugged, and the two walked along together. "Not sure, in all honesty. Possibly the Danger Room...though the teachers could possibly be in there..." Remy knew what he was talking about. The orignal group of X-Men, the teachers at the school, were often trainnig nowadays since word arrived of Magneto's hold over Genosha. The Brotherhood was gaining members rapidly, but so were the X-Men. Remy could feel something soon erupting, but it wasn't his concern right now. "True... Why don't we go find Kitty and and the three of us'll have a spar on the courtyard?" Peter smiled and nodded at the idea. They strode together down the corridors and finally arrived outside Kitty's room. Remy knocked and spoke happily as he did so. "Kitty! Come on out! Peter and I got an idea!" Nobody answered, so they knocked again. Still with no answer, they decided to go search for her. They went through the various lounges until they found Kitty with Oriel and Nightcrawler, who seemed to be irritating her. Remy decided he would rather watch this than spar at the moment. He jumped into a chair and put his hnads behind his head, iterested in what would happen next. +++++ OOC: Hope that's alright, everyone. I thought a little gathering might be nice for the students.

"Ready, Remy LeBeau?" Xavier said as he looked over his new, sixteen year old Louisianan recruit. The young man smiled slightly as he walked through the doors into the Danger Room and stopped. He gave it a once over through his sqaure rimmed shades and turned to the professor. He grinned and shuffled his deck of cards between his hands; both of which were covered by fingerless gloves. "Don't much favor Remy. Gambit'll do. And yah." Gambit unbuttoned the flap over the neck of his leather jackets and then unzipped, revealing his black tangtop underneath. He strode into the room, and the doors closed as he moved further in. The lights dimmed significantly over Gambit, and then went out altogether. Gambit stood and waited, listening to every sound in the room. A pick-pocket's always gotta be ready for his nex' score. The professors voice emanated from all around him. "Start!" Gambit backflipped out of the way of a metallic fist. The lights came back on a second later, revealing five 'Soldiers' surronding Gambit, in a Cathedral looking building. At first he wass caught by surprise. When his powers had arisen, he had been on the run from men looking to take him in for shoplifting. Their chase had eventually led them into a cathedral, quite like this one. Gambit quickly charged his mind with kinetic energy, attempting to keep out Xavier. He knew he had gone into his mind, and he wasn't quite keen on the idea. He looked at them and smiled, shooting his cards back and forth between his hands as they took on an intensive red glow. He knew the soldeirs were no more than robots, holograms, and thought of them as nothing more than that. The kinetic charge in his mind also allowed him to see through the hologram, so he had no trouble seeing what they were. "Re'y? Bring it then!" Gambit launched himself forward, kicking one of the robots in it's chest and using the force to propel himself backwards. He landed crouching, and shot one card into each of the robots' right legs. The cards hit and exploded upon contact. The robots were significantly damaged, and proved little threat. Gambit grinned and ignored them, addressing the recently risen robot that he had knocked onto it's *** earlier. It knocked over a bench and charged at him. He jumped over the immobile robots and kicked the standing one in its 'face'. It staggered a little, but came back full force, knocking Gambit squarely in the chect and onto his back. Gambit lost no time in a recovery, however, by taking out his bo staff and securing it in the robot behind him, thrusting it forward and him onto his feet. The two robots hit severely and went plummeting towards the wall. Gambit tossed a sing card at them, but he charged it dramatically with kinetic energy causing both to explode. The other three rose and connected in a sort, discarding worthless pieces and becoming one slightly-larger-than-human-sized robot. It bent over and charged at him, missing completely, but almost smashing through the wall it collided with. Gambit raised an eyebrow in confusion. The proffesors voice boomed down again. "The Second part of your test it to defeat a robotic replica of one of Magneto's cohorts: The Juggernaut." Juggernaut turned and charged at Gambit again, this time hitting him with such a force that Gambit was under the impression that his body had been shattered. He flew backwards and smashed against the wall, and watched as the hologram became visible in his mind again, and the massive Juggernaut hit the cathedral wall. Gambit fell to the ground and held his back. "Bloody hell... That hurt." He quickly rolled out of the way as Juggernaut's foot came down above him. Gambit attacked Juggernaut's leg with his staff, but to no avail. He was unphased as he stomped on the ground again. Gambit quickly saw the solution to his problem, however. His legs! Remy rolled over and sprinted to the other side of the court. He boldly faced Juggernaut head on. Juggernaut's grin slowly faded back into it's mechanical face as Gambit's senses returned. Gambit waited as Juggernaut charged him. Right as they were almost face to face, Remy sent a Kinetic charge through his hand, flipping over Juggernaut and grabbin ghis legs, causing them to explode violently. Gambit lay on the round for a moment smiling before Xavier's voice reached his ears. "Very good. Welcome to the X-Men." +++++ OOC: I'll edit this later. I'm pressed for time right now.

Axel watched curiously as Dogarta then Nate walked into the portal. Switch turned and motioned towards the portal again, slightly impatiently. "Well?" Axel smiled and stepped forwards, he walked directly up to the portal, stopped, and turned around, adressing Lock and Maddie. "Ladies, I'd prefer it that you don't go through until Dogarta, Nate, or I communicate back safely. I wouldn't want you all to be forcefully thrown into an incorrect time." He bowed, and then walked backwards into the portal. Switch scolded him, and Axel spun around facing the endless chasm of time. Right before he faded into the weave of time, he heard Switch's voice. "Oh Crap!" Before Axel could say a thing, his head spun, lgith blinded his eyes, and he found himself running along the path before him blindly. About halfway through, the lights in the portal change, and Axel screamed with agony as the change created a shrill siren-like noise, tearing apart his ears. "Fuck! Switch! Make it stop!" Suddenly the ground came out beneath Axel's feet and he hit the ground forcefully, crumbling under his wieght. He layed on the ground in agony, not sick, but unable to move. The noise caused Dogarta to look over, and to see Axel immobile. "Axel!!" Dogarta ran over and helped Axel up. Axel struggled to stand up, and his body was racked with continous 'electric' spasms. After a few minutes he regained his compusre, and the pain was all but gone. He thanked Dogarta and then pulled out his communicator, dialing a 0. He waited 5 seconds, then Switch's voice came in loudly. "Whaddya want!?" Axel held the communicator away from his ear for a second, wincing. He shook his head and brought the phone back. "We're here alright. Send throug others. Oh, and Switch?" Switch answered impatiently, moreso than before. "WHAT!?!" Axel burst out laughing, which caused his head to swim. He blinked a couple times and swayed a little, but luckily Dogarta caught him. Axel spoke faintly into the communicator. "What...what happed to me in the portal?" Switch got quiet, and then spoke sullenly. "I accidentally sent Nate to the wrong place, so I had to fix the coordinates as you went. Sorry. Over and out." Axel grinned and shrugged. Oh well...better me than one of them. Dogarta looked to Axel and spoke. "Should we go look for Nate?" Axel shook his head in dissaproval. "No... We need to be here when the others get here. Let's just call his attention to this direction." Axel dialed Nate's number, and Nate's voice emanated through. "Axel?" Axel grinned and held his hand up to the air. "We're here. Look up." Axel summoned the abundunt energies from the vibrant Earth around him, unspoiled yet by overpopulation, channeled it into his hand, and launched a massive beamup into the air, which shone a radiating blue light that could be seen for miles. Unfortunately, it didn't just catch Nate's attention. Deep breathing caught Dogarta and Axel's attention. Axel looked back and became wide-eyed. "Oh...shit..." A massively oversized dinosaur stood looking down right on Axel and Dogarta. They looked to each other and gulped. Axel nervously reached for his weapon. Dogarta looked at him hestitantly. "We shouldn't kill anything, remember?" Axel nodded. "We won't kill it. I'm just trying to keep us alive. You're a strategist. Guide me and my gunblades to vicory."

Axel gazed at Carthage, intrigued. Impressive... he seems to be a most valuable ally. They all do. He looked over them and grinned. This should be interesting... I just hope we won't have to hurt to many people... A pain shot through Axel's chest as he said that, Joseph's words emanating through his head. Axel's mouth moved painfully along with the pharse. "My greatest sin..." Cartahge looked up at Axel, surprised. He stopped what he was doing, and adressed him. "What...what did you say?" Axel looked at Carthage solemnly, his eyes shaking with fear. He stood up and fled from the table, and to the upper level of the court. He used one of the machines to get himself a Diet Coke. He sat atop one of the tables and trembled slightly. Images flooded into his mind, making his head spin. Soldiers, gunshots, blood...Lilina. Axel turned his face at the thought. Lilina had been the only person Axel ever really trusted. A child of one of the scientists, she spent a lot of time with Axel, checking on him, and making sure he was always fine. She nursed him back to health when his body ciouldn't handle the stress of the various experiments they ran on him. When Axel could finally leave out into the real world, Lilina still took care of him. She volunteered to let him stay with her, and Axel accepted whole-heartedly. Why wuoldn't he? She was one of the few his treated him like a human, not a weapon. They lived happily together for ages, and would often perform missions for the organizations together. Axel's numerous exploits made him a hot target for rival companies and even the government. After completing a mission, they were ambushed by Gov't operatives, who took Lilina hostage and unleashed an assualt on Axel. Axel fought furiously to take back Lilina, striking down every man before him, abondoning his qualms against battle. Soldier after soldier fell to his blade. Midway into the battle, a soldier was pushed at him by another soldier. Axel despised that act so that he cut down the soldier who pushed the other, than stabbed the living soldier in the chest. As Axel's blade tore through the skin and bone, his could feel his heart tear. He stopped swiftly and pulled off the mask of the soldier. Tears streamed from his eyes as the cold, dying face of Lilina stared him in the eyes. That had been three years ago. Axel continued to live alon in Lilina's apartment, but he often visited Lilina's mother, who, had time allowed it, would have been Axel's mother-in-law. His greatest sin had been killing the one person most dear, most precious to him. His sin was like a dead weight in his soul. He wanted to go back and change what happened. Axel stopped as he said that. "Time travel! The portal!" Axel sprung up, but then sat back down forcefully and hesitatingly. To mess with time would make him as bad as this threat the Lords of TIme are fighting against. He couldn't have that. And if he did anything, they would take his life in a flash. Have him terminated. Terminate me. Axel sighed and raised the Diet Coke bottle to his lips, taking a long drink. He walked over to the side of the railing and watched as energy flowed into the room. The newcomer was powerful. Extrenelty powerful, especially if he h ad s uch radiant energy. Axel sprang over the railing and landed gracefully and slowly, as if time had slowed down. Axel plopped himself down across from Carthage, whio looked at him and nodded. Axel nodded slightly and looked towards the door in anticipation. Another player in the game. Something told him all the pieces weren't in place yet... But what would happen when they were?
