1. White is 1,000% completely right. The movie was high energy, over the top, and every bit absolutely blew me away. I'm personally not a Michael Cera fan, but he definitely stunned me with his aptitude to balance being bad*** with his normal meek guy performance. The music was phenomenal, the filming and animation was superb, and for me it was an excellent display of making a "comic book" movie that could appeal to any one (but definitely appeals to gamers and comic book readers, haha). I loved it, and I'm going to read the comics as soon as possible. Everyone should go see it, at LEAST once.

3. â??Iâ??m so glad weâ??re away from those Womp Rats!â? Laira stated mid stretch, almost hitting a vendor in the face. Ral and the rest of the Grey Jedi had run into a particularly nasty pack of Womp Rats while traveling from their ship, the Dreadnought, to Anchorhead. They didnâ??t prove any real threat to the highly trained jedi, but Laira had a fear of rodents, one that amplified roughly in tandem with the size of the rodent. Ral laughed and moseyed over to her side, then quickly rose up his arms and did his best rat impressionâ??which apparently was good enough, because Laira jumped high into the air away from him. Ral laughed harder and rejoined an amused Er and Gi. Er spoke in her usual whimsical, airy voice without looking at him. â??Leave the poor girl alone. After those Rats and the tumble sheâ??s about to take I think the girl could use some fun.â? Right as Er finished her sentence Laira stumbled over her own feet and hit the ground. Gi grunted in irritation and helped Laira up. Laira popped back up, still surprisingly cheery, and ran over to Er. Er simply smiled as Laira placed her face right next to Erâ??s. â??Yes?â? Er said, attempting to keep from giggling. â??Er, wife to my brother, donâ??t you love me?â? Er placed her hand over her mouth as a chuckle escaped her. Gi and Ral simply rolled their eyes and moved away from the two girls, pretending not to know them. Laira opened her mouth to finish her sentence, but Er spoke before she could. â??I would warn you if the danger was great enough.â? Laira pursed her lips for a second, but decided quickly she was satisfied with that answer and hopped back over next to Gi, wrapping her arms around him. â??Tatooine should hold festivals more often. Itâ??s not nearly as frightening around here today.â? Gi smirked in agreement. Ral left Gi to deal with Lairaâ??s ranting and walked back over to Er. They smiled at each other and locked hands, continuing on in silence. They all had their ways of enjoying their newfound freedom. They had been trapped in that wild nightmare of their youth for so many years, and it was only recently they managed to find a way out and travel the world again. They had been sad to have to split with the other Grey Jedi-- save Starkiller and Skywalker, how they were gladly taking a break from-- but it was the only way out. Since then the Grey Jedi had met up only a couple times, content to scour the universe separately. However, today was not the case. All of the Grey JedI-- save once again Starkiller and Skywalker, who were apparently on some important missions but would â??try to make it if possibleâ??-- decided that they would meet up at Tatooineâ??s festival for a reunion. â??Hereâ??s the place!â? Ral announced over Laira. She stopped hassling Gi and looked up at the sign, reading it aloud. â??Anchorhead Cantina. Looks decent enough.â? Ral moved out of the way so Er and Laira could walk in ahead of him, and then he and Gi entered together, knowing better than to let the girls out of their sight for anything more than a couple seconds. As soon as they walked in, the music and the array of smells from inside the cantina overwhelmed their senses. Ral leaned forward to whisper into Erâ??s ear. â??Every time Iâ??ve been to this Cantina the band plays this song. Itâ??s starting to become a personal favorite of mine.â? She chuckled and shook her head at him. The group walked up to the bar and ordered some drinks, then began chatting amongst themselves while they waited for the others to arrive. Laira had definitely been right about today-- the residents of Anchorhead were in a surprisingly amiable mood. Normally Ral would have to deal with confrontation after confrontation in this bar, but not a single person had bothered him yet. A quick shove from behind told him that he had spoken to soon. He turned to discover the source of the push, and found himself face to face with an angry Aqualish yelling at him in a language he wasnâ??t familiar with. The Aqualishâ??s companion translated for Ral, although Ral had easily figured out by then the Aqualish wasnâ??t pleased with his presence. â??My friend doesnâ??t like you.â? Ral smirked and looked over at the Aqualish. Hmph. Go figure. â??My apologies. Iâ??ll try not to bother your friend again.â? Whatever I didâ?¦ Ral thought dryly, turning back to speak with Er again. Unfortunately, the manâ??s friend wasnâ??t done with him. He grabbed Ralâ??s arm and spun him around so he could face him again. â??I donâ??t like you either. You just watch yourself. Weâ??re wanted men. I have the death sentence on twelve systems.â? He barked out, his alcohol steeped breath assaulting Ralâ??s senses. By this time, the man had garnered the attention of the rest of Ralâ??s party, as well as some people in the cantina. Ral put on a friendly smile and responded. â??No kidding? Well then, my sincerest apologies for bothering the both of you. Iâ??ll do my best to be careful.â? The man sneered at Ral and grabbed him by the collar. â??Youâ??ll be dead!â? Ral couldnâ??t help but burst out laughing at the manâ??s threat. Ral grabbed the manâ??s arms and was about to pry him loose when Erâ??s voice flittered over to him. â??Trouble.â? As her sentence finished, the door to the cantina burst open, and a few men in robes sauntered into the bar. Ral was initially inclined to believe they were Jedi, but he knew better. Even though they were dampening their force presence, as the Grey Jedi were currently doing, the dark influence over them was impossible to cover up. They were Sith. Ral turned back to his former attacker, who was staring dumbfounded at the newcomers. â??Maybe we should settle this later.â? He pulled the manâ??s arms off of him and quickly readied his hand by his lightsaber. The Sith in front stepped forward and spoke in an angry, raspy voice. â??This planet is now under the command of the Sith. Unless you want to die in a horribly painful, drawn out manner, Iâ??d suggest you accept this fact and offer up your services immediately to the Sith army.â? Ral glanced over at his allies, and was pleased to see that they all were hovering around their weapons as well, ready to initiate battle on his command. Surprisingly, they didnâ??t have to. A loud crackle and the first Sith went down, shot between the eyes with blaster fire. A bounty hunter in the corner kept his smoking blaster raised, and drew his other one as well. â??You lot are pretty arrogant if you thought that was gonna work. I only offer up my services for money, mate, and I know better than to trust one of you to pay up.â? The Sith, enraged, didnâ??t wait another second; they drew their weapons and rushed the people of the cantina, killing a few instantly. Ral drew his lightsaber and bore his fangs at the Sith. â??Attack!â? he called out to the others. Without missing a beat they drew their weapons and struck down the unsuspecting first wave of Sith. The Sith were trained, but werenâ??t particularly skilled. They were most likely recently joined Sith Knights, sent out as messengers because their loss would mean little. Ral turned to brief his group on what to do next, but unfortunately the group was now surrounded by the people in the bar who were warily aiming their blasters at them. Ral deactivated his lightsaber and held his hands up. â??Weâ??re on your side.â? The bounty hunter who had fired the first shot earlier spoke on behalf of the people in the cantina. â??We donâ??t work with you self-righteous types from the Jedi Order.â? Ral grinned and shook his head. â??Weâ??re not Sith, and weâ??re not part of the Jedi Order. We may be Jedi, but weâ??re freelance, more or less. Think of us as nothing more than mercenaries with lightsabers. And right now, youâ??re going to need our help to drive away this Sith invasion.â? The bounty hunter scowled, knowing that Ral was right, but not very pleased by that fact. Nonetheless, he ordered the others to lower their weapons. Ral bowed and thanked him, then the whole of the cantina flooded out into the streets. The Sith were already making their way as a whole towards them, burning houses and leaving corpses in their wake. The people from the cantina immediately engaged them, firing shots off wildly. Ral and the others were about to engage as well, when he heard a muffled sound from his pocket. He quickly reached for his commlink, which was redirecting a call from the Dreadnought. â??Ral! Ral! Are you all okay?â? Emeraâ??s voice burst out of the speaker, â??The planet is surrounded by a Sith fleet! I repeat, Tatooine is surrounded by a Sith fleetâ? Ral responded sternly. â??We know, Emera. Weâ??re about to engage the enemy. Find a way to land your ship as discretely and as quickly as possible, then you and the others head over to Anchorhead to join up with us. And be on the look out for her.â? He added in quickly with an uncharacteristic flare of disdain. Emera responded with surprise. â??You think she and the others might be here?â? Ral looked at the others, who all had a similar concern shining in their eyes. He responded quickly, noticing the fight was coming closer to them. â??Itâ??s possible. Regardless, get down here as quickly as possible. Weâ??re going to need you all.â? Ral shoved the comm into his pocket and quickly used a force push on an approaching Sith, shoving him into the crowd behind him and knocking them over. In one fluid motion, all of the Grey Jedi reactivated their weapons and began fighting. OOC: Emera and her band of Grey Jedi are open for use by anyone who pleases, but make sure to have them en route to Anchorhead.
4. Fair enough. *thumbs up* On a somewhat off topic note-- So you've read all the books? Are they worth reading as well? I've been looking for something to read after I finish the Dark Tower series... And a children's series might be a nice reprieve after Steven King novels.
5. Well Anomaly, that harassment part sure sounds like a ton of fun, just make sure to give him a good pester from all of us. :D BUT, I'm right there with Elk and PseduoWhim-- this rp has a lot of potential (this coming from the guy who has posted once) and I 'd like to ride the lightning all the way down if you know what I mean. If you don't, don't worry, cuz neither do I. P.S. I'm glad you liked the line Inu, but I fear for Cross's health if the twins are going to make him a constant source of entertainment for themselves.
6. Let me first say that I'm right there with you on absolutely adoring How To Train Your Dragon. It blew my expectations away by 100,000% and it made me an even bigger fan of Jay Baruchel, Now with that being said... I don't mind the inclusion of Robert Pattinson's voice. I highly doubt parents will actually care that his voice is in the movie (given that they didn't mind the voice of murderous Leonidas coming out of Hiccup's father) most likely because children won't care either way. Now the Robert Pattinson fans may be an obnoxious bunch, but at least they'll help the movie to make the money it will probably deserve (don't want to get ahead of myself with that sentiment and regret it later). And actually onto the topic of his voice, I think he has a particularly pleasant one (when he isn't forcing an American accent) so I can get behind that. Maybe it's because I have a high aptitude for ignoring people that makes it so this doesn't bother me. Alas, I'm going to keep thinking about it as "Cedric Diggory gets a dragon".
7. Cross could feel his blood pumping as the team darted up the porch and away from their almost demise. Along with everyone else he crowded around the door, knowing that whatever was inside would probably be ten times worse than haunted buses, but wanting to get in nonetheless. Zach rapped on the door rapidly, still trying to keep up business formalities despite the situation. â??Hello! Anyone home?" he called out. Ayeika and Lucas looked at him incredulously. â??Are you serious? I donâ??t think theyâ??ll mind,â? they cried out in unison, simultaneously pushing past Zach and pouring into the house. Everybody else followed without hesitation past the somewhat irritated Zach, although Cross did mutter an apology and flash a smile as he ran past Zach. Unfortunately, as soon as he had entered, his whole body exploded with agony. He cried out in surprise and crashed to the ground. â??Cross!â? he heard Trin yell over the ringing in his ears. â??Cross whatâ??s wrong?â? â??We shouldnâ??t be here. We shouldnâ??t be here. We shouldnâ??t be here.â? Was all Cross could mutter over and over again. He could barely feel the fear and worry of his teammates over the demonâ??s overwhelming presenceâ??it was burning through every bone in his body. Simply from sensing its emotions Cross knew that it was definitively a factor in the sorry state of affairs the rest of the town was seeing. What was worse, or rather, what was weirder, was that Cross has simply expected blistering, relentless anger, but that wasnâ??t the only emotion the demon was feeling. It had just become happy. Happy because they had arrived. â??Daminit Cross! This is no time to be broken!â? Ayeikaâ??s voice tore into his thoughts again. Cross suddenly felt a wave of warmthâ??humor and concernâ??that helped him to cut through the demonâ??s hold and return to his sentences. His vision came back to him slowly, but he could make out the shapes of his allies standing over him. Pedr eyed him worriedly and spoke up. â??You alright buddy? Took a pretty bad fall there.â? Another wave of nervous humor washed over him. He couldnâ??t help but chuckle, now entirely in control again. Zach extended his hand out, and Cross grabbed it readily. Back on his feet, Cross dusted himself off and gave everyone a thumbs up. â??Well that was fun.â? Everyone chuckled again, although Cross could still feel the noticeably uneasy air in the room. Lucas placed his hand on Crossâ?? shoulder comfortingly. â??What happened?â? Everybody looked at Cross anxiously. â??Itâ??s belligerent, itâ??s responsible for the state of the town, it knows weâ??re here and it is surprisingly happy that we are here. At least thatâ??s what I managed to gather before Ayeika started flirting with me,â? another chuckle from the group, â??I mean seriously Ayeika, first you ask me out on a date, and now this, I think youâ??re moving a bit fast, donâ??t you?â? As soon as his sentence was done Ayeika put on a sinisterly sweet smile. "Don't flatter yourself. Although if chains and whips are your thing I'd be glad to make you criss-Cross-ed." Cross shuddered violently, and the warm feeling in his chest was replaced with the familiar frosty fear he got whenever the twins were around and enjoying themselves. Zach rolled his eyes at the whole situation and went back into his business like mindset, quickly looking over the house. â??Based on that information, our lives are already in danger, and thus our primary objective is to find the demon as quickly as possible. Traveling in a group would be safer, but we need to find it immediately, so letâ??s split up into two groups. Pedr and Trin with me upstairs, Ayeika and Lucas accompany Cross.â? Cross gave a nervous look to Ayeika and Lucas, who were both grinning deviously at him. He shifted his eyes around for a second and grinned worriedly. Zach continued talking. â??Whoever finds the Demon first call out to the others.â? Everyone nodded and split ways. Ayeika and Lucas both grabbed one of Crossâ?? arms and dragged him down a nearby hallway. Cross shuddered slightly, but sauntered along nevertheless. Despite having Ayeika and Lucasâ??s â??positiveâ? emotions keeping him steady, he couldnâ??t shake the demonâ??s anger. It was amazing, all of that anger, all of that rage pent up in one being. Most of all he couldnâ??t shake one nagging questionâ?? what did it want with us? He inhaled and exhaled deeply, regaining his calm. Ayeika and Lucas both looked at Cross and tightened their grip. â??You alright?â? Lucas said cautiously. Ayeika shook Cross a bit before speaking up. â??Are we going to have to scare you back into working order?â? Cross pursed his lips, attempting not to laugh, and took his arms back from the twins. â??Donâ??t worry you two. Iâ??d rather walk on my own is all. But thank you.â? He took a step forward and immediately teetered again, reaching out to the wall to balance himself. He grinned back at the twins before they could get close to him. â??Donâ??t worry. Iâ??m a..o..kâ?¦â? His sentence trailed off as he noticed the odd substance coating his hand. It only took a moment for him to realize what it was, and his eyes widened with shock. â??Blood.â? He whispered, his eyes trailing down the hallway. His heart skipped a beat at the sight. As if in a trance he wordlessly walked away from Ayeika and Lucas, who were both extremely confused. They followed behind closely, whispering Crossâ?? name to get his attention. Unfortunately he couldnâ??t hear them anymore. He knew this place. There was no possible way he could be back in that place, yet here he was staring down the hallway of his house, his fatherâ??s blood on the walls again. Perhapsâ?¦ â??Cross, where are you going?â? Lucas said quickly. The twins were looking down the empty hallway, trying to figure out what had caught his attention. They walked up to Crossâ?? side, trying to keep him from entering into the bathroom the hall led to, but before they could say anything, the two open doors on both sides of the bathroom caught their attention. Simultaneously, all three stepped away from one another and into the room in front of them, drawn in by some image straight from their nightmares. OOC: I hope this is alright with everyone. Since I didn't know when White was going to post, I wanted to leave it open for us to possibly have experiences on our own, or for White to just skip those experiences altogether and get on with the story. Also, if I got anyone wrong (or left anyone out) lemme know.
8. Thank you CaNz, i was actually thinking the same thing when I was reviewing the thread earlier today. Like he said, Cross is more cautious than cowardly, although it's my fault for not posting sooner to show how he reacts to situations. Although I did appreciate the zombie line. I just so happen to be afraid of zombies in real life. Anywho, back on topic, I was wondering if my team minded if i posted a little filler post, showing us examining the super haunted house [in a The Shining-esque series of frightening images] and then leave off with us encountering the demon so White can post. Does that sound good?
9. Hey everybody, I just wanted to give a big apology to white and my team for not posting sooner-- my computer kind of decided that I no longer needed to see what I was doing while using it, so it's getting fixed right now. However, I am using a friend's computer, so hopefully I'll have a post up today/tomorrow. And as for psychic pets, call me old fashioned, but I think I'll swing with a German Shepherd puppy, if that's a.o.k. :]

Second Sight

Peter lay warily on the roof after shifting Natalie and Lucas, his rifle fairly clenched in both of his hands. He aimed his rifle down at the compound below, simultaneously surveying the ground enemies with his scope. Though their numbers seemed vast, he was confident in his alliesâ?? abilities. He moved the barrel back in line with the armored cars when he heard Nats and Lucas whisper that they were adequately positioned. â??In position,â? he repeated. He quickly scanned the operatives sitting in the cars, searching for any small movements that might indicate the person was writing or something of that nature. He altered the rifleâ??s aim ever so slightly, albeit swiftly as he searched for the Seer. Noâ?¦noâ?¦noâ?¦ He could feel himself starting to become frantic. Any minute now the Seer will draw a doodle of Alex or Lucas approaching or Nats lighting someone ablaze, and then there lives will be in danger, and the blame will fall onâ?? Something caught his eye in the car he was inspecting and he fired instinctively. Blood pumping and suffering from a sudden adrenaline spike, Peter fired a couple more bullets into the car. From both sides of the vehicle popped Second Sight agents looking to discover the vantage point of their assailant. Before they could prepare themselves, Peter sniped them both. â??Seerâ?¦taken out,â? Peter alerted the others curtly, still on edge from the adrenaline pumping through his system. That shot had been extremely lucky. Whether it was his killerâ??s intuition or he had simply received a fright from the Seer rising up his notebook was at this point irrelevant. He shouldnâ??t have fired without foresight. That would put the others in danger. â??Theyâ??re kicking off!â? he heard Lucas call out. Peter took a deep breath to collect himself. You mean well, but remember, they can protect themselves. The important thing is to keep a clear head, and most of all, to enjoy yourself, he thought with a chuckle. Back in control, he fired a couple more shots into the disarrayed soldiers trying to scramble out of a nearby armored truck. He had barely fired a few shots when suddenly a spray of bullets showered the rooftop next to him. Drat! He thought so loudly he almost yelled it aloud. He quickly rolled away from the source of fire and shifted to a nearby rooftop, reforming in a crouched position. He aimed his gun at his previous position and shot the three soldiers who had attempted to ambush him. Without missing a beat he sprung up and leapt towards the ledge so he could cover his comrades. He managed to just narrowly shoot an assailant who had been tailing Natalie, although the bullet came dangerously close to grazing her. She looked up in his direction and sneered, the flames around her burning brighter and more intensely with the spike in her emotions. â??Youâ??re so very welcome darling,â? he grumbled under his breath. Quickly he shifted to another rooftop, and this time he had Lucas clearly in his sights. Rather, he had Lucas in his sight a second before the grenade Lucas shot exploded and covered Peterâ??s sight with smoke and fire. He grinned and steadied his weapon. â?Chapâ??s got the right idea.â? He shifted to another rooftop and shot a few more soldiers down below. He quickly surveyed the battlefield and, spotting what he had been looking for, shifted down to the ground level, grabbed the item, and then shifted back up to a nearby rooftop. He took a moment to admire his recently acquired grenade launcher, and then went to town, firing grenades wildly. He couldnâ??t help but grin as he watched the explosions hurl enemy soldiers every which way. He fired the last grenade when suddenly a strong force struck him from the side and forced him to drop his grenade launcher. Before he could react he felt another intense force from up above slam right into his back. Pusher! He realized angrily. He felt another wave of pain as the invisible force came down again on his back, but this time he was ready, and managed to quickly shift to the rooftop where he had left his rifle. He picked it up and steadied it on his arm in one swift motion, but he wasnâ??t fast enough. The Pusher knew where he had shifted toâ??Damnit, thereâ??s probably a Thinker working with himâ??and pushed a massive wave of energy at the building beneath Peter. The structure shook dangerously, threatening to give out. He grimaced in irritation and quickly tried to devise a plan before the building collapsed. Luckily, he spotted Natalie near the Pusherâ??s position and he knew exactly what to do. â??Nats! Up!â? Without hesitiating, Natalie shot a monstrous plume of flame straight into the sky above her. The sudden rush of heat and the roaring of the fire caused the Pusher to frighten and lose his balance, giving Peter the chance to shift behind him and sweep his leg out from underneath him. â??Thinker nearby! Do you what you can dearies!â? Peter yelled as he shifted above the Pusher and slammed his foot into his back. In a series of rapid fire shifts, Peter kicked the Pusher in the face, twice in the ribs, and disarmed him. He tossed the weapon back and forth between his hands and flipped the Pusher over with his foot. The Pusherâ??s hands twitched in an attempt to shove Peter away, but Peter quickly shot through both of the Pusherâ??s hands. The Pusher cried out in agony, his hands almost literally exploding from the backup of unreleased energy. Peter grimaced and scratched the side of his head with the Pusherâ??s gun. â?My apologies, that looked rather painful.â? He put the Pusher out of his misery with a bullet between the eyes. â??Pusher killed.â? â??Thinker killed.â? Natalie and Peter called out at the same time. Peter ran to the edge of the building in an attempt to spot Nats, but could only see a trail of smoldering bodies. He shuddered slightly, both impressed and frightened by Natalieâ??s trail of destruction. "Pete!" Alexâ??s voice rang into Peterâ??s ear, "Ready for pick-up.â? A bright ball of fire rose up in the sky, and Peter immediately shifted to that location. Standing in front of his comrades he grinned and looked over the scene of destruction they had left in their wake. "Now who's going to clear up all this mess?" he asked, hands on hips in mock irritation. Alex smirked in response, and Peter grabbed the three members of the group and shifted them back to their vehicle. "Jesus, Lucas, what happened to you?" asked Peter as they arrived, only now noticing with unease the reforming skin of his friend. "Alex took his time, that's what happened!" Lucas replied dryly as the last of his burns healed over, "Speaking of which, I suggest you punch it and we get out of here." "Agreed. Let's blow some **** up!" Peter gave Natalie a high five as Alex pulled the detonator out of his pocket and joyously set off the explosives. An enormous explosion bloomed on the valley floor, shards of metal and electronic equipment flying in all directions as the weapon was destroyed. Natalie and Peter cheered heartily, although there was still an air of shared solemnity. One thought couldnâ??t help but tug at the back of all of their minds. What exactly was that weapon?

Oh, I wonder. :]

13. Wow, I'm glad to see my question sparked the creating of a backstage thread, haha. But on a serious note, thank you, that cleared up basically every question I had. Well, save one. You said you worried about our powers, and I know you only specifically mentioned CaNz and Knuckles Girls, but like mapthesoul. I'd be more than willing to alter my power to make it more in line with the 'feel' of the RP. And I third the notion of spirit divided animal companions. Sounds groovy to me.

Second Sight

Earlier at headquartersâ?¦ Peter attempted to keep his cheery demeanor up as he stripped off his casual outfit to better prepare himself for the struggle ahead. Before changing, he took a moment to carefully look over his body. Throughout the years, despite the danger of working for a company like Second Sight, he had taken great pains to avoid anything that represented a serious physical threat to him, and it showed. Whereas the others were covered in barely healed wounds and scars, his body was relatively blemish free. What he was about to engage in clashed absolutely with his own philosophy of life. He ran from trouble, not headfirst into it. So what made this time so different? Especially when, as Timothy would be more than happy to defend, their chances of survival were so low? He raised his gaze away from his body and towards his mirror, so he could look himself in the eyes. â??Because these people are family, and theyâ??ve always trusted you. Always, without question. Even when they shouldnâ??t have.â? Peterâ??s characteristic grin faded as a painful memory surfacedâ??on one particularly dangerous mission he was shot in the arm for the first time in his life. Frightened, he shifted so away so far he was unable to recognize the area around him. Like a coward he hid for what seemed like an eternity, until finally his senses returned. By the time he finally returned to his team, the mission was completed and the damage done; although no one died that day, his team suffered heavy casualties, casualties that could have been avoided had Peter stood his ground. But had the team blamed him? No, not even sharp-tongued Nats so much as chided him. Ever since then he had sworn to never abandon his team. He sighed heavily and dragged his hand down his face. â??I sure hope Alex has his wits about him on this oneâ?¦ If Iâ??m going to risk my hide for him, heâ??d better have a plan to keep said hide from getting riddled with bullets.â? He chuckled darkly to himself and quickly threw on his battle attire: a black tank-top, black trousers, black boots, and a kevlar vest. Truth be told he wouldnâ??t have thought of the last one if he hadnâ??t seen Lucas thrown one on as well. He looked at himself in the mirror again and frowned once more, before a stroke of genius hit him. He spun around, loaded up his handguns and trench knives, and then grabbed his fedora and placed it snugly on his head before looking back at the mirror. He looked himself over and then nodded, satisfied. Restored slightly to his usual manner, he strode over to the door, kicked it open, and yelled down to the team. â??Everybody ready for a fun day?â? Currentlyâ?¦ Peter sat silently staring ahead for a few minutes, taking in Alexâ??s gratitude toward his team. Lord knows Alex wasnâ??t one for casually handing out heartfelt thanks, but this wasnâ??t exactly a casual mission. They werenâ??t performing a mission out of duty, they were performing one in self-preservationâ??no, they were performing a mission for one another. Oddly enough, that gave Peter a feeling of empowerment. They had given their all for people they barely knew, people who had betrayed them. One could only imagine what a devastating force they would be now that they actually cared. Peter was unexpectedly amused by that thought, and couldnâ??t help but burst out laughing despite himself. Everyone gave him a curious look, and Natalie spoke up, amusement and confusion lining her voice. â??Awesome. Heâ??s already lost it. If Peterâ??s too crazy to shift us to our â??vantage pointâ?? can I drive us there?â? Peter stifled his laughing just long enough to respond to her. â??Trust me Nats, I will never be so out of sorts that your driving would be preferable to my shifting.â? Everyone in the car couldnâ??t help but chuckle at that, even Natalie, who was attempting to hide her smirk and give Peter the evil eyes. He merely grinned back at her and blew her a kiss. Her face grew even redder with anger, and she opened her mouth to make some clever retort, but Alexâ??s voice, once more stern, cut her off. â??Only a couple of minutes before we arrive. Everyone be ready.â? Natalie closed her mouth understandingly, but, not wanting to let Peter â??winâ?? outright, she stuck out her tongue at him before spinning around in her seat. Peter simply smiled knowingly. You be careful to, Natsâ?¦ OOC: I'm sorry if this is terrible, but I haven't slept, haha. Anyways, tell me if anything need fixin'.
15. Name: Crocifisso â??Crossâ? Rumore Age: 25 Gender: Male Appearance: Cross stands at 6â??1â??â?? and has an average frame, weighing around 190 lbs. He has light brown skin, heterochromatic blue eyes with golden rings around his irises, and messy, straight black hair. Like Mr. Cherub, he wears a pair of [square rimmed glasses] due to his nearsightedness, although his have a [custom design on them]. His business attire consists of a white, dress shirtâ??usually with the sleeves rolled up-- a black button-up vest, black dickies, grey â??one-starâ?? converse, and his signature black fedora with a white stripe above the brim. His everyday oufit is basically the same, only swapping out the dress shirt and vest for a plaid long sleeved button up shirt. He is also never seen without the mechanical wristwatch that belonged to his father and the crux gemmata necklace he received from his mother to ward off evil spirits. Personality: On a regular day, or at least a day relatively unplagued by the paranormal, Cross is known for being amiable and jovial, although he tries to avoid being the center of attention. He's honest, but always tactful, and is often a voice of caution when it comes to the missions P.I.T. performs. That's not to say he isn't the curious, adventurous type, he simply makes sure to be adequately prepared beforehand. During a mission he's basically the same, and he's careful to respect whatever supernatural occurrence they may come across. Regardless of circumstance, however, Cross is consistently determined and resolute in whatever he does. Another interesting habit of his is to frequently grab and rub his crux gemmata. He does this most often when nervous or while thinking. PIT History: Ever since Crossâ??s first run-ins with the supernatural, he became obsessed with discovering and documenting the different types of otherworldly phenomena. His journey saw a number of odd occurrences, some genuine, and some false, but he recorded it all nonetheless, as well as fervently studying various mythologies and folklores. He noticed the ads for P.I.T. almost immediately in the papers, and quickly contacted Zachary Cherub, offering up his own experienceâ??as well as secretly hoping to learn more about the paranormal world. With his vast knowledge and special power, which conveniently allowed him to sense the presence of creatures and spirits, he was able to skillfully handle a number of missions despite his position as a rookie. Due to this, he was able to rise up to Elite status in a short period of time. Powers/Talents: Crossâ??s ability is his intensely empathetic nature. He can easily sense the mood and intent of any form of creature with such precision that most think he has a form of telepathy. When in the presence of others, he receives strong emotional â??wavesâ?? that suddenly fill him with whatever emotion that personâ??or peopleâ??are feeling. Although the â??waveâ?? quickly passes over him, the emotional connection lingers with him, and fluctuates in tandem with the emotional changes of the subject. Unfortunately, this can be overwhelming for him, as he is often surrounded by many people and all of the conflicting emotions are sometimes difficult to filter through. First Paranormal Experience: To identify the first time Cross encountered the supernatural world requires a somewhat convoluted and complex answer. To give a simple answer, one could say his first real â??interactionâ?? with the paranormal was at the age of 12 when he discovered that his father, an excommunicated priest who was also once an exorcist, had been possessed by a demon. Cross had been able to sense the demon in his father certain days, when he would suddenly become overcome with relentless rage and sweltering agony when in the presence of his father. Unsure of what to do, he began studying his fatherâ??s writings and eventually decided that he himself would have to exorcise the demon. Unfortunately for him, when he finally mustered up the courage to act, he found his father lying in the bathtub, clutching a bloodied cross and bleeding profusely from his wrists. He simply stared off into the distance, smiling and hollowed eyed. Upon noticing his son, he whispered only one thing before passing away: â??I wonâ?. To this day Cross in unsure of whether his father or the demon spoke to him in those final moments. He never explained the situation to his mother, allowing her to simply believe that his fatherâ??s strenuous work simply overwhelmed him one day. However, he continued seeking out ways to counter possessions and the like, claiming that he wanted to help others avoid the fate of his father, but always secretly desiring to avoid that fate himself. Ideas/Extras: Will we have special equipment designed for combating or capturing ghosts and ghouls, likeâ??for lack of a better reference-- the spirit trapper from Ghost Busters? And I also want to make sure I understand this world correctly, as Iâ??m imagining it being in line with the Hellblazer series and the Constantine movieâ??is that correct?

His face looks mostly the same, except for having grown a bit sterner and more fox like, and his white and gray two-toned hair, common to his species, is kept short, akin to [this]. On his back he has a series of scars left from being struck with force lightning by another Grey Jedi. Personality: Although Ral does not associate himself with the Jedi Order, he portrays many of the traits of a typical jedi: he is calm, collected, considerate and pleasant to everyone he meets. His most defining traits, however, are his charm and wit. He always shows mercy to his opponents, and although he utilizes the dark side of the force, he is careful not to give himself over to rage, as he knows that unless the dark side is treated with constant respect and moderation he could become overwhelmed by its addicting properties. This becomes more difficult in the presence of the Sith who murdered his family. NPC Company: Altogether there are 10 Grey Jedi, though they donâ??t always travel together. Sometime in the past, a tragedy befell them that resulted in the deaths of their families. Left only with each other and faced with innumerable dangers, they immersed themselves entirely in the force, embracing both the dark and light side. They travel in three â??groupsâ??, one led by Ral, one led by Emera, and one that doesnâ??t really have a leaderâ??however, Ral is recognized by all as the head of the group. Others see her as impetuous and lacking in foresight, but Ral knows her tendency to act without thinking is due to her reliance on the force. Sheâ??s known Ral since childhood. Due to her Hapan blood, her night-vision is extremely poor, so when the sun goes down, she relies entirely on force vision, like Er. Even though she has learned the ways of the dark side she still rarely uses it, believing itâ??s violent ways to be counterproductiveâ??in most casesâ??to helping people. However, thatâ??s not to say she follows the code to the tee; sheâ??s quick to deviate from Jedi teachings if they arenâ??t practical to her or if they contradict her beliefs. She attempts to understand and assist Skywalker whenever she can, but the other's unwillingness to be helped often causes the two to argue. Second Sight

Peter grinned and jammed his hands into his pockets. The overwhelming presence of â??The Hubâ?? was still striking to him, despite having already been here once before. How Alex could have found the time to create this monstrously large base of operations, while recruiting another Thinker and Tracker and running away from Second Sight agents was incomprehensible. All Peter had accomplished in the last year was robbing a few banks and losing his favorite shadesâ??although to be fair he had recovered them a couple months later from a particularly crafty Tracker who had stolen them to hunt Peter down. He chuckled to himself, which caused Kain to flinch next to him. Peter rolled his eyes in response and patted Kain on the shoulder, which caused him to flinch again. â??Relaxâ?, was all Kain and the others heard from Peter before he had disappeared again. Peter couldnâ??t help but grin wider as he rematerialized; even having shifted to his room upstairs, he could hear Kain yelp with surprise crystal clearly. He quickly reached for his fedora atop his pillow, and then reached under it to pull out his two handguns. He took a moment to adjust his fedora, then shifted back downstairs. Unluckily for him, the startled Kain was on high alert now, so when Peter reappeared he was forced to quickly dodge the two knives Kain instinctively discharged. Luckily for him, he was expecting some sort of assault on his person, so he managed to fall onto his knees quickly to escape being punctured. Without missing a beat he shifted again, this time next to Natalie, and placed his arm on her shoulder. â??Excuse me for being so bold, but you look a little on edge, Callahan. How about you accompany me to the shooting range to relieve some stress?â? Natalie shrugged Peterâ??s arm off and forcefully pushed him away from her. â??In your dreams, Chiasmus.â? Peter raised an eyebrow quizzically, but quickly raised his hands up in defense when he realized what she had thought he was insinuating. â??No, no, nothing like that, Nats,â? Peter could see Natalieâ??s eye twitch slightly in annoyance at his pet name for her, â??I was simply under the impression that there would be something for you to set ablaze down thereâ?¦ Or at least something for you to fill full of lead and pretend itâ??s me.â? Natalie thought it over for a second and then smirked and scoffed in response, which Peter knew was Natalie for â??yeah sureâ??. He grinned and turned to the rest of the group. â??Anyone else looking to practice a little sharpshooting feel free to come on down as well. See yâ??all in a bit!â? He tipped his hat with the end of his handgunâ??s barrel and then shifted away once more. --- OOC: I hope you don't mind the inclusion, mapthesoul., I just figured Natalie needed to get out that anger from Kain ruining her lighter. Second Sight

"Eff!" Shift. "*pant*" Shift. 'Who". Shift. "Is." Shift. "This". Shift. "Guy?" Peter's body forcefully slammed into the ground, tired and spent from days of shifting. How did they find him here in Spain? In Spain, of all godforsaken places! His spanish was terrible; this should have been the very last place on the planet they would ever look for him. And just who the hell had they sent after him? He had shifted in all manners of erratic fashions, shifting long and then short and then long distances repeatedly. He had even shifted himself into the ocean for a bit, but to no avail. There was only ever one tracker who could tail him that well, and he was probably off somewhere blowing up suspicious looking folks with his MacGyver bombs. Peter chuckled to himself despite the situation, but quickly covered his mouth as he heard the wheezing and clunking of the car that had been following him the past couple of days. He quickly clenched clenched his eyelids and focused on moving from his current location on the Giralda of Cathedral of Seville to moving just about anywhere else. Unfortunately, all he could manage was to disassemble and reassemble his molecules. "Damnit!" He was just too panicked to shift away. To be honest, it had been painstakingly hard to shift this far, which was unusual for him. Ever since this game of cat and mouse began, he'd felt like there was some invisible hand on his shoulder, never letting go. It was a familiar feeling, but that frightened him-- familiar usually linked back to Second Sight. He had pressed on vehemently, despite the feeling, afraid that it was merely the workings of a particularly skilled Thinker. But what did it matter now? He was exhausted and he couldn't think enough to escape from his predator any longer. The fact of the matter was he was just tired of running. Maybe this soldier can kill me, he thought as the door slammed close on the ground below him. He sighed and closed his eyes again. "But he's going to have to work for this one." He concentrated on the ground below and shifted next to his assailant, trench knives at the ready. Before he could make a movement, however, he was hit with a blast of concussive force. A pusher, he thought to himself as he hit the car and crumpled down onto the floor. Defeated, he laid motionless on the ground as the Pusher sauntered towards him. The Pusher growled and spoke into his cellphone with an extraordinarily familiar voice. "Yah, I caught him Kain." Peter opened one eye up in surprise and stared at his 'assailant'. "Alex?" He watched as an irritated smile tugged at the corners of the man's lips. Excited, Peter attempted to jump up and embrace his friend, but could only flail around weakly. Alex laughed and grabbed his friend's arms, hoisting him up and leaning him against the car. He shook his head and slouched next to him. "A week. A whole week devoted to catching you. If it weren't for that push I gave you right then, we would not be on speaking terms." Peter laughed and shrugged, although both actions caused him to wince in pain, which subsequently just caused him to laugh harder. He wasn't sure if he way giddy because his life wasn't about to end, or if he was giddy because for the first time in roughly a year he was with someone he trusted fully. Having regained a little bit of strength, Peter levied himself against the car and stood up so he could face Alex. "You look almost the same... Save for the stubble." He managed to get out after a few seconds of deliberation. Alex scratched his chin and replied nonchalantly. "Yeah well, I've been busy these past couple days, if you hadn't noticed." Peter put his hands up, admitting his fault in that matter. "What can I say, you didn't exactly let me know it was you." "Had to make sure you were still sharp. Didn't expect you to be a week's worth of shifting sharp, though. Sometimes I forget that you use yours a little more readily then the rest of us do." Alex's last couple of words caused Peter to teeter slightly. He blinked a couple of times and responded incredulously. "The rest of us? Are you telling me the others are with you?" Alex shook his head and responded. "Not everyone. I haven't gone to get Patrick yet. I figured you could make the trip to see him a bit easier." Peter took in a deep breath and exhaled sharply. Alex was gathering the team together. And they had all said yes. Well, Patrick hadn't yet, but the Seer knows all; he was probably watching himself right now say yes in the near future. Peter's head spun again, and he had to lean against the car once more. Alex, concerned, opened the driver's door and helped Peter sit down, then crouched down in front of his friend so that they were eye level. "I know what you were thinking just a while ago. The way you came at me said everything. You were hoping to die. You're tired of this running nonsense, aren't--" "Of course I'm in, Alex." Peter interjected quickly, startling Alex. Alex grimaced and shoved his hands into his pockets. "Did I rush that? Or was my tone off?" Peter laughed and waived his hand. "No, no, your delivery was great. I could tell you had practiced. But you don't have to sell me. If anyone else had come to see me, I might have needed the pep talk. I know we shifters have a rep as being dishonest, so for you to want me back in regardless..." Peter swiveled around in his seat, resting his foot on the gas pedal. He motioned to the seat next to him and grinned. "Find out where Mr. Bellamy is. I'll get us there in a jiff." Alex scoffed and shut Peter's door, then pulled out his phone and called Kain back as he walked over to the passenger's seat. No more than thirty seconds later the car shook slightly and then disappeared altogether.

24. Name: Peter Chiasmus Age: 23 Gender: Male Role Within Team: Shifter Abilities: Peter’s ability to shift is phenomenal; he can phase through most solid objects without so much as a thought, and travel between full cities with only moderate difficulty. He even has fine-tuned control, capable of staying disassembled for elongated periods of time to take advantage of the invulnerability of being mid-shift and is able to shift up to 7 people at a time, albeit he needs to have some physical contact with whomever he is shifting and the more people he's moving, the shorter distance he can travel. Unfortunately, due to his personality type, his power can often be as much of a danger as it is a gift to his allies in a cinch. Also, when Peter becomes highly frantic, he shifts in quick bursts, reconstructing and deconstructing himself in infrequent intervals. Physical Appearance: [Peter, on the right in his usual outfit, the only difference being the tie is a solid black]He tends to also wear a black fedora with a white band just above the brim, as well as Ray Ban aviator sunglasses. Personality: Peter is flighty and self-serving. If there’s an opportunity for him to get ahead, he won’t hesitate to take it, even at the expense of others. This trait is even more prominent in dangerous situations, where Peter is liable to abandon his team if the chances of his survival seem abysmally low. Due to this mindset, Peter is extremely clever and crafty, able to reason his way out of situations and to deceive anyone at anytime. However, in his defense, over the past year in hiding and recovery with his team, he has become a much more loyal team member and faithfully obeys most of Alex’s orders. His negative traits also don’t keep him from being amiable and kind to his teammates and anyone else he comes across. Weapons: At all times Peter keeps his two trench knives at the ready, but he also has two handguns at his disposal as well—one silenced and the other without modification. Other Skills: Peter is skilled enough in most arts, capable of holding his own in hand to hand combat, and providing a pretty good shot at any distance. His real ability, however, lies in espionage and reconnaissance, obviously augmented by his power. Writing Sample: Peter couldn’t help but throw his hands behind his head and let out a long sigh; California was lovelier than he remembered it. Granted, he had only been once at the age of 10, when his parents took him and his sister on an impromptu road trip from New York to sunny Cali. The imagery of bright sun and crystal clear skies had stuck with him throughout his life, even as his powers developed and his life went from hectic to hell. So why wouldn’t he take advantage of his ‘extended vacation’ by visiting those glowing beaches—and glowing ladies, he thought coyly as a young lady danced by in her bikini top and shorts. Alas, this was the life. Satisfied with his mental aside, he adjusted his fedora, straightened out his open, billowing blue and white plaid shirt, shoved his hands into the pockets of his black dickie shorts and then rounded the corner and entered into a hotel building. He had been staying at this particular hotel for roughly a week now, which meant it was time to get together his constantly packed belongings and switch to a new one. Even though his last run in with Second Sight agents had been a couple weeks ago, he didn’t want to risk having to escape from them again. “Those fellows really do know how to dampen a man’s free time”, he mumbled under his breath whilst shaking his head. He gave the bell hop a two fingered salute, walked down a hallway until he was out of sight, and then shifted into his apartment. He had barely reconstituted himself when a bullet clipped his left arm. “Eff!” He shifted away instantly, reforming the alleyway next to the hotel. Unfortunately for him, as soon as he was there, a series of bullets whizzed down from above, narrowly missing him. Biting down in irritation Peter simultaneously reached into his pockets and shifted again. The soldiers perched along the fire escapes and rooftops waited patiently for Peter to reappear; Peter, on the other hand was quickly shifting from nearby rooftop to rooftop to make sure there were no snipers watching, and to kill any who were. After offing the last sniper, he picked up the sniper rifle himself and shook his head once more. “If only you poor souls had just left me alone.” He quickly shot the two soldiers perched outside of his place, then disgustedly tossed the rifle aside. He walked over to the dead Second Sight sniper sprawled out beside him and scowled lightly. To be honest he was tired of having to kill these soldiers. Despite being a constant annoyance in his side—and despite being terrible mood killers—he didn’t feel any particular malice against each individual operative. They were just following orders, which was a suicide order whenever it involved any member of his former team. Frantic, static cries from the dead soldier’s handheld transceiver caused Peter to snap to attention. “Agent 0! Agent 1! Anyone!? Respond! Where is the target!” Peter rolled his eyes and picked up the radio. He took a moment to clear his throat and then responded. “Your cries will never reach your teammates; the target will forever be out of your grasp. If you were wise, you would quit attempting to grasp the intangible.” Peter bobbed his head, satisfied with his line, and then shifted away again, disappearing only a fraction of a second before a bullet tore through the now falling radio.
