Would you choose the Sex of your baby?
TOTALIMMORTAL replied to ChibiHorsewoman's topic in General Discussion
I would most definitely never mess with the gender of my baby. It just isn't natural first of all. Science is starting to get outta hand. Soon they'll be able to predetermine the DNA or something and make babies look just how you want them to look. They already have cloning too. I say just have your baby the way it's supposed to turn out. Anyways, if you do plan on having a child, then you should be so excited to be going through the miracle of birth that it really wouldn't matter whether it's a boy or girl right? You just gotta worry about raising it right.... -
What does everybody here believe regarding afterlife? Whether or not you believe in it or not. I'm not asking for this thread to end up being a huge religious debate, I just want to know what you all think could happen after you die. Heaven and Hell maybe? I'd like to hope that there is indeed life after death, and hopefully that you remember your past lives if theres reincarnation of a sort. The problem with the afterlife is that you really don't have any idea whatsoever until it's too late. Along with many other things. The concept of Heaven and Hell is definitely an intriguing one, when where you end up is determined by your actions in the previous life. I'm not religious at all myself, but I've been raised Catholic, so I've grown up being told about the belief that good people go to Heaven, and the bad go to Hell. I'm also a huge Stephen King fan, and in one of his books he mentions his own beliefs on the afterlife. He says he believes in Hell, but that Hell is repitition. Having to do the task you hate more than anything else, again, and again, and again. And those of you who do believe in Heaven and Hell, do you purposely try to be good so you don't end up in the latter? Please tell me what you all think or believe, this is definitely an interesting subject.....

The ultimate art-form......next to music of course. I'm a huge fan of stand-up comedy, what about yous guys? Recently I watched the 100 Greatest Stand-Ups of All Time on Comedy Central and it got me thinking. Hmmm, who's my favorite stand-up of all time? I could not decide. Stand-Up comedy - at least in my opinion - is the ultimate form of comedy. It takes humor, style, class, wittiness, intelligence, and endurance to make a good stand up. Being a stand up is one of my few dreams, and I consider myself to be pretty funny. Anyways, getting off subject...What do you people think about Stand-Up Comedy? Do you like it? Do you hate it? What's your favorite joke you've ever heard from a stand up? Who's your favorite stand up? Who's your favorite comedian? Why and all that stuff? Do you guys watch "Last Comic Standing"? Hmmm? :smirk: Also, have any of you heard of Mitch Hedberg? He's by far one of my favorite stand ups. He's not like most comics, he doesn't just talk about stuff and add humorous puns like many, but his form of comedy is actually pretty random. He mostly just tells jokes, but he has the coolest voice, and the way he accents certain words and little things like that make him a great comic. Well? Just wondering... Please join me in this celebration of true genuises...comics!

Alright everybody, I have a simple question. When are you old enough to have sex? I think when you're physically able to, mentally ready, mature enough, use protection, and your partner also matches all these categories, then you are ready. I know some would disagree and say you have to be married, or it's only intended to make babies or something like that, but what do you all think? I'm only 14, and I'm sure just about everybody here would say that's way too young, but I know I'm ready, and so is my girlfriend. All I wanna know is what all of your opinions are on when your old enough to be ready for sex. Please tell me what you think.....

This is the deck I've had for a very long time now, so please tell me what you think. So far I've never lost a single duel with it, and I've been in at least 300 duels with it. I don't collect Yu-Gi-Oh! cards anymore so I don't really have any very new cards, but other than that I think my deck is pretty damn good. One more thing, I have all three Egyptian God Cards in English -two of which are in my deck- and I know those are restricted but other than that I'm almost positive my deck follows tournament rules. Please feel free to tell me what I should change or anything... Monster Cards (25) Sinister Serpent Muka Muka Penguin Soldier x2 Man-Eater Bug Jowls of Dark Demise Sangan Spirit Reaper Banisher of the Light Cyber Jar Alpha the Magnet Warrior Beta the Magnet Warrior Gamma the Magnet Warrior Witch of the Black Forest Invader of the Throne Kycoo the Ghost Destroyer Gearfried the Iron Knight Bazoo the Soul-Eater Summoned Skull Jinzo Valkyrion the Magna Warrior Dark Necrofear Tyrant Dragon Slifer the Sky Dragon Obelisk the Tormentor Magic Cards (13) Spirit Message "I" Spirit Message "N" Spirit Message "A" Spirit Message "L" Swords of Revealing Light Change of Heart Harpie's Feather Duster Tribute to the Doomed Monster Reborn Scapegoat Infinite Cards Dark Hole Mystical Space Typhoon Trap Cards (7) Destiny Board Mirror Force Barrel Behind the Door Shift Magic Jammer Solemn Wishes Bottomless Trap Hole Total Cards: 45

Alright, my story is called "Dante's Inferno" (at least for now) and this is just the beginning that I wrote yesterday. All of this is just a dream that the main character Dante is having and it's actually based on a dream I really had in real life. And by the way, I'm 14 to let you all know. Please tell me what you think of this beginning and tell me anything at all that you think I should change or improve or whatever, don't feel afraid to post critcism. Well...here it is: AND SO IT BEGINS Picture this: You?re walking along the sidewalk of a suburban mid western town, not sure exactly where, watching as people stroll aimlessly past you, as if they have somewhere more important to be, none of which notice the yellow chainsaw you are firmly grasping in your right hand. You continue on down the path, preparing to do what you came here for. You stop near a mailbox in the middle of the human traffic and pull the chord. The chainsaw roars with pleasure as you sink it into person after person, but your thirst for blood is still far from quenched. Still, nobody screams. It?s as if they haven?t even begun to notice the horrible deeds you are doing right in front of them, and you continue on. You slowly dismember limb after limb from these pathetic humans, and blood squirts wave after wave throughout the crowd of people who still haven?t noticed you. But you want them to see you, you want them to fear you, but they won?t. Your anger rises as these stupid humans continue scurrying on like the little ants they are. You kill them one by one, yet no one has noticed you. You are invisible to them, and this is not what you want. You want to scare them more then they have ever been scared before, but they continue on as if nothing has even happened. They can?t see the pools of glistening blood which continue to grow as more blood flows out from the carcasses you have slain, or the ever increasing amount of corpses falling to the ground. You continue to devour the life from them again and again but they can?t see you. But you can?t give up, you must be feared. You feel bigger when people are scared of you, so you keep trying to get the fools to notice you the only way you know how. You easily slice the neck off of another passerby, but he doesn?t scream. Of course not, because that?s what you want, and nothing ever goes your way. Some blood from your last victim squirted out from an artery protruding from his neck, and it hit you directly in the center of your left eye. Your rage from not being seen, and now getting blood in your eye, had hit the limit. You could not take this tyranny anymore, so you decide to quit. You give up, you could not take this any longer. It?s not the killing part you dislike, that was the fun part. It was so easy to do. Taking ones life felt so good to you, but not being noticed, not being feared, that was the part you hate. You now begin to walk the opposite way, away from this failed attempt of self righteousness, and away from the people, including the fallen corpses, who were blind to your existence. You continue on the sidewalk, in the direction of the Light. You keep your eyes focused on the bright light emanating from the tear in the sky. Black light surrounds this unexplainable tear, but you still stay focused on the white light in the center of the rip. You try to look away but you can?t. The Light slowly drains the tenderness from your eyes, and burns them into two dry balls of sand suspended in a spherical shape. Your eyelids scream for help, but there?s nothing you can do. The Light that is now melting away your face like candle wax still rains upon you like a swarm of locusts to a crop field, but you still can?t look away. The Light is just so satisfying, and it feels so warm and comforting, but destroys you just the same. You have now stopped walking towards the Light, just simply gazing towards it, dumbfounded. You?re completely blind at this point, and much of your face has dripped to the desert sand below you. The suburban sidewalk has long since mutated into a scorching hot desert, so hot not even a cactus could exist here. You try to scream but your mouth has been sealed shut by melted skin from your forehead, and you fall to your knees. The Light is overwhelming, too much for you to handle. Not just the heat, but the power of the Light that flows from that freakish tear in the sky, you are too weak. At least for now. You know that there is something there, something past the Light and in that tear, something that is so great that it can?t even begin to be comprehended by human thoughts, and you thirst for it. You need whatever is hidden there, and you won?t stop until you get it. Your body is now burnt to nothing more than an overcooked skeleton, but your mind continues to straggle on. You keep thinking the same thing over and over, that you need it, you need it, you need it, whatever it is. And now the Light offers you some final words as you slowly creep towards death, ?Better luck next time Dante.....?

I dunno any underground rock bands but I know a ton of underground punk bands. Just about every real punk band starts underground. Listen to The Misfits, they're one of the best punk bands of all time, and theres Dropkick Murphys, Pennywise, Circle Jerks, Danzig, Samhain, Dead Kennedys, The Descendents, The Adoloscents, Exploited, hell even Social Distortion started underground but they're pretty popular now. I also suggest listening to Rage Against the Machine, they're not too popular either.

Damn you Shippou, you stole my band!!! Well, I obviously choose The Distillers. Brody Dalle is the singer and she does some of the tightest punk vocals. She has a very raunchy, loud, and most of all, Powerful voice. If you want proof of this then listen to a song called The Hunger, that's probably my favorite song by them. Plus Brody plays guitar and I think she's hot. How could that get any better? She used to be Brody Armstrong because she was married to Tim Armstrong from Rancid but not too long ago they divorced. The Distillers latest cd, Coral Fang, just came out last year so everybody go get it cause The Distillers kick ***!!!

It's all about the PUNK!!! I'm a total punk rocker so that's mostly all I listen to. I listen to the hardcore stuff, like The Misfits, Social Distortion, tons of old punk. Sex Pistols, The Damned, The Ramones, all that good stuff. I also love AFI. I sorta like their newer emo goth rock stuff but I really like all the older AFI, back when they were punk. I freaking hate all this pop punk **** like Good Charlotte and all those other losers. I'm also a total metal head, My favorite metal band is Metallica of course. Ok, You better stop me cause I could talk about my music all day long.......

Ya, bullying is messed up, but in my opinion it's just a way to seperate the weak from the strong, both mentally and physically. I'm still in High School so I know all about this stuff since I see it everyday. I don't take **** from the dickheads who do consider themselves bullies. It's all in your head. If you are being bullied don't let it get to you, and if things do start to get violent then get friends for backup. Ok, I better shut up now before I offer some really bad advice. I'm most definitely not a bully my self, but I've been in tons of fights. Definitely not to brag, but I'm looked up to in school by tons of people because I'm kinda known for putting bullies in their place. Yes, I admit, I've kicked some of their *****, but those are just the ones who are really bad "physical" bullies. I must say though, I have never started a fight, nor do I go looking for them. I just defend myself and protect those weaker then me. I can't imagine how stupid and super-heroish this sounds but it's true. Bullies are just scared little kids who have no better way of trying to make themselves feel big then by making others feel small. I'd have to say my first sentence sums up the way I feel about bullying.

Gaming Most tragic video game character deaths...
TOTALIMMORTAL replied to mononoke_man's topic in Noosphere
I think the most tragic video game death was
the "death" of Tidus in FFX. You don't really know if he's dead but he turns into those pyrefly things and he jumps off the airship. Just when things were starting to go really good with Tidus and Yuna he has to leave. That sucks. Well, I guess if that hadn't happened there wouldn't have been an X-2. Aeris would have been my first choice by the way.
-
 I'm subscribed to PSM magazine which obviously has tons of official, and none official, news regarding the Playstation world. Just recently the magazine editors went to E3 which I'm sure you've all heard of, and the latest issue has tons of info from it. I'll post some of it: First of all, and most of all , the PSP. Playstation Portable is estimated to cost no more than $199 max, but most game making sources are pegging it at $149. Sony HQ in Japan has gone on the record and announced that the system will only come in black, at least for now. The PSP will have many cool accessories slated at the time of launch for the system. These include a camera add-on for game use, video chat, and snapping photos, GPS system, Optical Touch keyboard, and an external battery pack. Speaking of battery packs, the PSP's battery life totally depends on what you're doing with it. If you're watching a movie with it then it drains the battery quickest because the disc (yes, PSP will be using UMD discs) has to spin quicker so the battery will only last for an estimated two-and-a-half hours. If you're listening to music then it should last eight to ten hours, but games are a whole nother story. Since every game is different and has different graphics then the battery could last anywhere from four to ten hours, and that doesn't include using the backlight or wireless networking. So far it has been announced that the PSP will be able to play games, music, movies, go online, and link-up with a PS2. Some of the games scheduled for launch for the PSP are: Armored Core Formula, Ape Escape, ATV Offroad Fury, Dynasty Warriors, Grand Turismo 4 Mobile, Frogger, Hot Shots Golf, Metal Gear AC!D, Spider-Man 2, NHL FaceOff, Tony Hawk, Syphon Filter, and many many more. That's it for PSP. This year at E3 PS2 totally and completely owned it. The top ten PS2 games soon to come out are as follows: 10) Shadow of Rome, 9) Burnout 3 , 8) Devil May Cry 3, 7) Jak 3, 6) Gran Turismo 4, 5) Prince of Persia 2, 4) Final Fantasy XII, 3) God Of War, 2) Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater, 1) Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas. Some other games coming out that I personally think look really cool are: Ace Combat 5: The Unsung War, Altered Beast, Area 51, Astro Boy, Axle Rage, Black, BloodRayne 2, Cowboy Bebop(can't wait for this one), Darkwatch, Death By Degrees, Destroy All Humans, Dynasty Warriors 4: Empires, Fullmetal Alchemist and the Broken Angel, Musashi Samurai Legend, NanoBreaker, Neo Contra, Mega Man X8, Monster Hunter, Robotech: Invasion, Red Ninja: End of Honor, SD Gundam Force, Viewtiful Joe 1 and 2, Def Jam: Fight For NY, Tekken 5, Rumble Roses, Mortal Combat: Deception, Gundam Seed: Battle Assualt 3, Yu Yu Hakusho: Dark Tournament, Champions: Return To Arms, Mega Man X: Combat Mission, Inuyasha: The Secret of the Cursed Mask, X-Men Legends, Xenosaga Episode 2(REALLY looking forward to this one), DDR Extreme, Tony Hawk Underground 2...ETC!!! That's about enough. This years E3 introduced so many games, those are just some of the ones I'm looking forward to. As for release dates for upcoming PS2 games, here: Goldeneye: Rogue Agent(Fall), Kingdom Hearts 2(2005), Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater(Winter), Devil May Cry 3(Fall), Destroy All Humans(Quarter 1 2005), Darkwatch(Q1 2005), Phantom Crash 2050(Q1 2005), Gran Turismo 4(November), Capcom Fighting Jam(Winter), Suikoden IV(Winter), Metal Slug 4/5(January), Taiko: Drum Master(Holiday), YS VI: The Ark of the Napishtim(Winter), Phantom Brave(Summer), Starcraft: Ghost(Fall), Snowblind(Fall), Tekken 5(Q1 2005). Current PS2 Releases: Armored Core: Nexus, Astro Boy, Digimon Rumble Arena 2, ESPN NFL 2005, FunkMaster Flex's Digital Hitz Factory, Gallop Racer 2004, Ghost Hunter, Headhunter: Redemption, Hot Shots Golf FORE!, Madden NFL 2005, Mega Man X: Command Mission, Monster Hunter, Phantom Brave, Shaman King: Power of Spirit, Spy Fiction, Star Ocean: Till The End Of Time, Street Racing Syndicate, Ten Pin Alley 2, Terminator 3: Redemption, Yu Yu Hakusho: Dark Tournament. I highly recommend subscribing to this magazine if you are a serious PS2 video game player like me. For any other information, go to www.psmonline.com. Well, later everybody!!!

I've been watching Case Closed every night since about a week ago and I have to say that I really like it. I missed the first episode but that's one of the good things about the show, it doesn't really have a significant plotline to follow. I just don't know where and how he got all those gadgets. My favorite part about watching Case Closed is trying to solve the case along with them, they give you all the clues and sometimes you can even figure it out before they do.
-
Ya, Cowboy Bebop has some funny moments, mostly with Ed though. Like when Ed played Chessmaster Hex at a game of chess for like a whole week straight. Another funny anime moment is all of FLCL. That whole show is one big joke. Theres one episode where the father sends their robot to go get him some "adult" magazines. He ends up sending the robot back because they weren't the ones with the Anna Nicole centerfold. I thought that was pretty funny. Well, that's all I can think of for now.

I've actually had a few totally awesome gaming moments. One was in Tekken Tag Tournament, where I was playing my friend at team vs mode. Just for laughs, I said he could have a full team of 8 guys, and I would only use one. The battles started, and one by one, I took out each of his guys and barely got hurt. And if that isn't already hard enough, I did it without switching my fighters a single time. He was totally speechless after that fight, and to this day he never plays me at Tekken Tag Tournament anymore. Another one is a record I've kept to this day. I've won almost 1,000 fights in Virtua Fighter 4 Evolution (Quest Mode) and my winning percentage is 100. That's right, I've fought almost a thousand guys in that game, including extremely hard fighters called Champions, and I haven't lost a single time. Not to brag......wait, ya I'm bragging.......but I'm the King of fighting games. I can beat anyone I know at any fighting game and I'll always kick their ***. Lemme think, what else? I've beat almost every Final Fantasy game too. So far I've beat: 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, almost 8, 9, 10, X-2, plus Chrono Trigger, Tactics, Tactics Advance....I would play 11 but it's too freakin expensive to play that game.
-
Ya, Prince of Persia Sands of Time is a great game. The only complaints I have is that it's fairly short and theres not enough different types of enemies. I'm sure the upcoming sequel to it will fix those problems though.....
-
Cool, I like em! Much better than I could ever do...I like the second one better though. I would offer suggestions but I have no idea how to do that stuff.

Manga What new manga/manwha are you reading now?
TOTALIMMORTAL replied to Monkey_Orange's topic in Otaku Central
Right now I've been reading the first few volumes of both Ragnorak and The Chronicles Of The Cursed Sword. They're both pretty good but I like Ragnorak more. I also wanna get the rest of the Yu Yu Hakusho books that are missing from my collection. One more thing. Everybody keeps talking about reading manga on the internet. Where can you find them? -
I definitely prefer Anime over manga for several reasons. One bacause I'm lazy and flipping pages requires me to move. Another reason is because you get the feel of the storyline much better, the action is better and it's always much better to actually see them move. I do enjoy the occasional manga every once in awhile though.
-
I agree with Shikaku, the ending theme for FLCL is a really cool song. I actually liked it so much I took the time to figure out how to play it on my guitar. Another good song is in FFX when you fight Jecht (Braska's Final Aeon). That's some really cool J-Rock, but the singing sounds like barking.....
-
Actually, I do talk like that around them. I rule my social regime with an iron fist. I whip them when they step out of line and say something that doesn't directly relate to my perfection in its utmost... perfection. Many are dreaming, but few are begging. I'm quite dazzling. Don't you think?
What a little brat. I bet you're just a lonely little person living their dream online by talking trash. Ya know what? If you and your little group of followers/social regime went to my school, me and the rest of the punks would whip your sorry little *** until you piss blood for a month. That's right, can you say KIDNEY SHOT?!!!

Is it really true that girls bleed when they first do it? I've heard of "popping the cherry" but do they really bleed while they're doin it? I'll be honest with you people, I've got no problem saying I plan on having sex with my girlfriend pretty soon. Some people think we're too young but we're both mature and ready for it, and we really love each other. I just wanna know what to expect, I don't wanna hurt her if she does bleed alot or sumthin. Well, I'm sure none of you wanna hear this so I'll shut up.....
-
I think I can be totally different at different times. I pretty much have two people I'm like at a certain time: Sometimes I'm like Yusuke from Yu Yu Hakusho, arrogant, tough, and pretty mean. Other times I think I'm like Zidane from FF9. Very fun and good with the ladies. Enough said.....
-
Alot of people have mentioned FFIX but none have mentioned Zidane. He's definitely my favorite character out of all of the Final Fantasy games. I guess the reason why he is my favorite is because he is so much like me in many ways. He's extremely fun, good with the ladies, very funny, and much more. I've even been told I look just like him. My hair is just like Zidanes just a little longer. Plus Zidane has some of the coolest weapons. His strongest weapon, Ultima Weapon, is a dual-bladed sword that glows with an awesome looking aura, and most of his other weapons are cool looking daggers. He's a total hero, and my favorite FF character of all time.
