1. i son't drink heaps but I do drink fairly frequently. After the last time i dtrank i ahven't really had the money to drink. there are some very tasty things out there and in Australia the drinking age is 18.
2. I remember staying up all night and then seeing kids cartoons in the morning that I hadn't gotten up to see for nearly 4 years. Drunkeness can also be a good way to pull an all nighter.
3. I generraly consider myself to be straight for the most part. Other peoples sexuality doesn't tend to bother me and since I found out that my half sister was gay it has become even less of a concern. People don't nescisarily (sp?) change just because they swing one way or the other. They can still be your friends all the same.
4. Today I got Frances the Mute by The Mars Volta, I have to say that this effort falls only a little way short of their previous effort; De-loused in the Comatorium. The way the tracks themselves are orginized are what annoys me the most because it can make it difficult to tell what track you are up to. What are your opinions on the latest effort by The Mars Volta?
5. I got a Laptop and a camelback type thing for bike riding. I gave both my Dad and my Brother books and for my Mum a bowl with roses on the side. That pretty much sums things up.
6. I live in Austarlia in a town called Katoomba. It's about two hours out of Sydney, the capital of NSW. If anyone has heard of the Three sisters that is the town I live in. Not alot happens in Katoomba but for some reason there seems to be a plethora of pubs and clubs (at last count it was eight).
7. I was wondering wether anyone would like to make a sig banner containg the following pic: I'd like to have the words /not Gumby next to guy in forground I haven't been very good about enforcing this rule, but we ask that you place the topic of the banner in your thread name. Since yours doesn't really cover a particular franchise, the fact that you have a picture to use is sufficient enough and helps to be mentioned. ^_^ -Syk3
8. This Christmas I'm certain that I'll be getting a laptop for uni next year. As it stands now the two hour commute to the city for uni should give me plenty of time to do uni work and the like.
9. I like Bob Dylan mainly because my Dad is heavily into him. I think that Desire would have to be one of his best albums as it contains three excellent songs: 1.Hurricane 2. Mozambique 3. Sara
10. Like James I can't wait for Gran Turismo 4 to come out. whether or not it comes out in time for christmas is another story. It was supposed to come out last year but a myriad of ste backs has the game penciled in for a December release. Since Prolouge hit the shelves I have wanted it to come out even more. Second on my list would be GTA: San Andreas. Hopefully the Office of Film and Literature Classification won't have a problem with this game unlike the last two GTA titles.
11.
Carl will have to eats to stay fit, but if he eats too much donuts, he gets fat. To add to this, mob bosses can reject you for missions if you are too unfit. To this end, there is a gym, you use it to get back in shape. I wish I were joking.
Easy fix just ride your bike everywhere. easy way to keep fit. GTA has always been cool but it always causes so much controversy when it's released in Australia that we get the watered down version, which I for one hate. The people who protest about it should be kicked in the balls.
12. I play DnD. Ussually a wizard or a fighter, which happen to be on opposite sides of the coin. 3.5 really screwed around with wizards making them impossible to play. DnD is the kind of thing i like to call a Nerd sport though.

Music...

I listen to anything ranging from Heavy Metal to Jazz and Electronica, now don't mistake Electronica as Techno or trance because they are their own genres. About the only stuff I won't listen to is (Rap, most Hip Hop, Death metal and 90% of the stuff made before the mid 90's). Basement Jaxx, Groove Armada, Moby and Fatboy Slim are my favourites at the moment.
14. Clearly anything by Hanna Barbara is the bomb. Scooby Doo, the Flintstones, the Jetsons and last but not least Huckleberry Finn. These cartoons where better than anything Disney could throw in my direction. I can vaugely remember He- Man and Conan. Transformers was big in the early 90's along with the Samuri Pizza Cats and the Biker Mice from Mars. You can't see anything that good on Free to Air in Australia these days. The only way to get most things is with cable or satellite TV but my dad's to stoogey to pay for it.
15. I live in Katoomba Australia, about two hours west of Sydney. At the moment I'm doing my HSC which will hopefully allow me to go to uni so that I don't have to live as a destitute hobbo on the streets.
16. Part of the reason why the Japenese original sounds so different is because during the process of dubbing from one language another things such as scene length and animation of mouths has to be changed so that it doesn't look off (anyone who has seen monkey magic will know what I mean). This means that once you watch an English dubbed anime in Japanese it doesn't seem quite the same.
17. As far as I know the Bebop Movie take place in between sessions 22- 23 while everyone is still present on the Bebop. As to wether Spike died or not it wraps the series up better if Spike dies as it then leaves no lose ends. Most of the Japanese made anime only has a small number of episodes FlCl on has 6 episodes. the last disc of Cowboy Bebop (sessions 23- 26) everyone leaves or gets killed. I have had many long debates with friends over whether or not Spike dies. I am of the opinion that he doesn't die he just gets badly mauled.
18. I don't graduate till late Sep (Australian School system) and after that the final state run exams have to be sat. for those three weeks in late Oct/ early Nov are going to be a living hell. After that a long wait ensues till I find out whether or not I made it into uni which doesn't happen till mid January.
19. In my mind there can never be any such thing as a perfect celebrity. Nobodys perfect and things that Joe Shumo would get away with Celebrities can't. Celebrities are under the spot light all the time and when even a small slip happens the reprocutions are huge. The public expects them to be angels. Take for example an incident that happened in Australia recently. A group of Rugby Players left sexualy explicit messages on a womans phone. Mothers and religious groups where up in arms over a group of below average sports stars behaving badly. I hope that it help to prove my point that there is no such thing as a perfect celebrity.
20. Seeing how it is coming to the latter half of year twelve for me; my time having to do sport are nearly over. I'm lucky at my school that we have climbing as a sport, (Not on real rock of course but an indoor climbing wall). Climbings one of those sports you have to do for a fairly long time before any increases in strength/ technique become noticable. They say it can take up to six years before a climber reaches his/ her optimal performance. Being bad at team sports pushed me more towards the sports of individual pursuit eg. mountain biking, climbing etc.
21. I was wondering wether anyone here has read some of the classic books that get society and change them eg. Brave New World, Nineteen Eighty Four etc. Although the people in Brave New World have promiscuous sex it still sheds a different light on society as we know it. George Orwell's Nineteen Eighty Four is another one that twists society shedding a different light on it. It's a world that could be beliveable, considering it's based on the real world. If you have read these books (or indeed others) post the books name a brief overview of it and wether you liked it. A friend first tlod me about Nineteen Eighty Four about this time last year and since then I have read a few other ones which I consider to be classics. I'm currently reading Ulysess by James Joyce and though it's enjoyable to read it can be a little confusing.
22. Cowboy Bebop Episode no. 20: "Pierrot Le Fou"- This episode is my favourite for a couple of reasons. Firstly the powers of Mad Pierrot are fascinating. It's the most sci fi of all the episodes (a fact that is appealing to me) and secondly the transformation of Pierrot and degredation and torture he had to suffer.
23. Name: Bobby TrementoAge: 36 Gang: Verrcetii gang Bio: Surfer by day, Gangster by night. The normally reserved Bobby Tremento turned to a life of crime after his family was gunned down by an unknown gang. That was 20 years ago and now after many years at the bottom of the pile Bobby has decided that enough is enough. It's time he moved to the top of the heap. A faithfu lbody guard of Ricardo Diaz until his unfortunate death in 1986. Bobby uses surfing as his escape from gangster life. After all when the place you live is renowned for it's surf beaches what else are you expected to do. Bobby has been known to play dirty on occasions going as far as killing Congressman Shrub in order to keep his boss Tommy from landing in the crap. Despite his best efforts Bobby has remained noting more than a low life thug for quite some time. Starting City: Vice City Weapon: Desert Eagle, the choice of all respectable gangsters. Car: Toyo Letecar, Small and compact the Toyo Letecar has everything; Am radio, Air con and five speed transmission. This car has been with Bobby since the start of his gangstar days. A very dependable workhorse which has seen him out of many sticky situations.
24. Just to go against the norm I'll list some bands which don't have a rock/ metal influence. Here's my top five in no particular order:

Basement Jaxx. Is there nothing these quirky English DJ's can't do. Since the release of their first album back in 1999 they have released two new albums. Each one surpasses the the previous one with seemingly new found levels of sofistication. Now for my favourite songs of theirs: 1. Good Luck. the first song off their latest album. Good beats and it even has a cool video clip. 2. Where's Your Head At. Off their second album. Surely everyone can remember the film clip with the evil monkeys. 3. Romeo, also off their second album itg brings a smile to my face everytime I hear it. 4. Lucky Star, another awesome song from the Jaxx latest effort. 5.Red Alert, first song they ever released. Didn't know who they where until I heard it a coulpe of years after it's relaese.
Groove Armada. Another English group who have been pushing the envelope in terms of Electronica since their inception. Have three albums which are all awesomly good. Here's my five songs: 1. Edge Hill, so damn good it's creepy. 2. Pre 63, off their first album this song shows a perfect example of how Electronica music should be. 3. Sun Toucher, the only rap I like. 4.Serve Chilled, noting can be said for this one. 5. Purple Haze, classic re-make of a song from the sixtes.
The Flaming Lips, their songs are unique in so many ways. Don't really have any songs of theirs that are my favourite due to the fact that I have none of their albums.
The Chemical Brothers. Lost their way a bit in the middle part of their careers but are now back on track. Instead of nominating songs I'll just nominate an album minus the crap songs. Come with Us is where they got back on track. Only these song are considered crap by me: Song 1, 2, and 9, the rest of these are very good.
How could I not go past Fat Boy Slim. The cool but now retired DJ made some of the best dance tracks fo the late ninties. Sadly however he threw the towel in during 2002. Here's my list of songs: 1. Weapon of Choice, cool song, even cooler film clip. 2. Ya Mamma, how could you not love the film clip to this one 3. Praise You, off his first album this is the song that really catapulted him to fame. 4. Acid 8000, comes off what most consider to be the strange end off his first album, I think it's goddamned cool 5. Sunset (Bird of Prey) very cool if creepy song that has a cool film clip which involves a guy ejecting from his plane mid air.
That concludes my list of favourite music groups. Sorry if it's not to everyone elses rock tastes.
25. I was just wondering wether anyone here has heard of the John Butler Trio. They are an Australian outfit who sing blues music. While I have only got thier latest CD I have heard some songs off their other CD's. On Sunrise over Sea I think my favourite song wouldhave to be Zebra the first song released off the album. So I would like to know wether any other people have heard of them , your favourite song of theirs and why you think they are good.
