Is life really like a box of chocolates?
Ozzy J. replied to Ashley_the_blr's topic in General Discussion
Life is indead like a box of chocolates , sometimes, it will throw you a nice chocolatey treat dripping with..... Who the hell am I kidding. I hate chocolate. That must mean I hate my life, nothing could be further from the truth, I love my life. I hate chocolate. Chocolate gives you pimples and leaves you thirsty. !FRUIT! on the other hand, quenches you as you eat and is much more tasty. Life, to me, is a bowl of fruit, some days you get nice apples and grapes and juicy lemons, other days, life chucks you a rockmelon, ugh. I know, me a healt nut ;) -
I'd also like ot take soem time to congratulate OB on the best online message board I've seen so far. I like how OtakuBoards keeps up a standard of grammar and clarity when so many message boards out there don't. It makes for a good atmosphere, and withou having to wade through so many l337 posts, you can actually understand everyone here. I'm very excited, after reading some posts in James' myOtaku to hear about the changes for v7, while I've only been here at least a week, I look forward to seeing what comes next.

My first kiss was a couple of days ago. ( ) For my fourteenth birthday, me and a few friends, and this girl I really liked headed out to see Return of the King, about half way through the movie, she kissed me on the cheek. The best birthday present ever! :D After that, we sort of kissed a few more times during the movie, it was a great day.

Ah yes, Furiza said to Goku that (saiyans) were about to go the way of the dodo. I'm guessing that it was a sort of joke, that he was a kid again and would have to go to school, forgetting the fact that he never attended school.

I have a few nicknames that I've aquired over the short space I've occupied the earth. Spyder I used to get called this because I like the spider drinks alot, a spyder is a soda with a scoop of ice cream in it if you don't know what it is. Outkast Got called this when I was an obsessive Outkast fan (sic) This was a little over 2 years ago. slippyknot don't know where this one came from. I don't like metal at all. I had huge spiked hair though, or perhaps it was that mutiant clown halloween costume..... Ozzy J. my Penname, I got called this when I became a mad fan of the movie Osmosis Jones, go figure. It sounds cool. kamikaze To the insame stunts on my BMX and the skateboard, this is where Kamikaze comes from. That's about all i can think of, I've aquired alot over the years. ^_^
Originally posted by Teammayhem GTA:3 and GTA:VC were both delayed for release in New Zealand. Why? The developers had to remove a lot for the NZ release. Supposedly, the chainsaw (or some of its animations) were removed. That sucks...
Actually, the chiansaw is still in our versions of the game, only the hookers were taken out to my knowledge. That is kind of stupid, because in GTA 3 they didn't bother to edit it before it's New Zealand release. That makes for inconsistencies, you can "do" a hooker in the 3rd game, but not in it's subsequnet release? I think that game censorship is necessary, but if grown adults claim they were mimicking a game they bought, then what can you do? stamp an INSANE marker on their heads? shave their beards and give them a medical? I don't think so. It's always the games fault, funny how it's exploited that way, games have to reach out to different dmeographics you know, it makes me mad that soemone can blame the game for their inexcusable, dumbass crimes and hte distributor gets punished, it's like if Rockstar make too many borderline games, they'll be bankrupt because every man and his insane mother would want to sue them.

If this movie doesn't win the best picture this time, there will be a travesty of justice the likes of which the Academy has never seen (snubbing arguably one of the best films ever, the two Towers, for Chicago? it might happen again.) My grudge against the Academy aside, this movie simply rocked. All this time through the enormous hype the movies had been receivign in New Zealand, I thought it was going to be way overhyped and that I'd be expceting too much, I was wrong. The battle of gondor (sorry, i forget the name of the city too) has to be one of the best battle sequences ever, the sheer numbers (digtially enhanced?) and quality of the fight made it a truly memorable moment, a sight to behold, you've done New zealand proud! Warning! MAJOR spoilers follow
The psychological aspect is really entertaining, ot the failing mind and sanity of Denethor, and to the mind tricks of Gollum, who's every move in ROTK is motivated to recapturing his "precious". I must say, i enjoyed the sequence in ROTK where Smagol and Deagoul find the ring, It happens in the Fellowship of the Ring with the books, and it's being told by gandalf, but I didn't midn it in ROTK, it set the whole split personality in the puddle thign up, you've done it once smeagol! you can do it again the sequence in destroying the one Ring has to be one of the masterpieces of the film, the finality of seeing the Ring shrink into the lava, and the collapse of Sauron's eye and tower, it brought a tear to my eye, truly stunning, awesome scene. Smeagol and his ring, I'll say no more ;) Shelob was a good scene too, I had looked forward to seeing Shelob, and it didn't dissapoin either. A giant psider without making it look corny, and it really brought forward the reason why Samwise was so crucial to the efforts to destroy the Ring, sam was there, through it all, and after ebing ste up by Gollum, he returned loally to Frodo's aid when Shelob had him bound. Frodo could not have done the task of destroying the Ring without Sam, but together, their bond of friendship was able to stand against the Might of Sauron's enticing ring.
I'd probably see it again sometime, It was a true masterpiece, can any movie really hope to accomplish what New Line have accomplished here any time soon? I doubt it. I can't wait to see if they wil produce the prequel, The hobbit, after Peter Jackson has done creating King Kong.

I like your second one, it's a neat picture, and I like grayscale. I just like the tone of the picture. I also like the Big Thunder Mountain tribute, very nice, not too effects heavy, just a nice tribute. Just one question, where did Bosko go? you mentioned it in the threads title, the threads title, inside the thread that is, on the outside title it doesn't mention Bosko. It's confusing for me, I'm only new here.

In response to the bardock question, I bleieve that he is in fact, still within the planet Vegeta's atmosphere. As for the other part, It is Shenlong who can only bring back people when they've been dead for over a year and bring them back only once. This id due to the fact Kamiccolo split and that meant Kami was not at full power. The Namekian dragonballs were broguht through from the one and only wish during the Furiza saga, where the wish to remove the innocent from Namek was made, and that brought Guru to earth.Meanwhile, on Namek, the Namekian dragon's last wish is used to wish back everyone Furiza killed After everyone's back on earth, and the Namekian Dragonballs have returned to their normal state, the Z fighters wish back people like Kuririn and Yamucha who have been killed more than once. The Namek dragon, to my knowledge never stated that it can't bring people back who have been dead for over a year, it just doesn't happen, Bardock will be a faint memory to Goku, if he remembers him much at all, I believe the onyl interaction he had with his father was the vision he had. As for Vegeta, well, he vividly remembers King Vegeta, his father, and his planet, and pride, so it's amystery why he did not ask them be wished back, perhaps he had moven on, and there was alot of wishing to do, 3 wished for every 3 years, and that's alot of waiting around to do.

GTA 3 and vice City are rated R18 over here, and shinji's got both of them and I play them regularly. Has it turned me into a psychotic serial killer? no, have I been given a newfound lust for blood? no. Both GTA games were released here under R18, with GTA 3 being completely uncensored, and as far as i can tell, GTA VC having the hookers editited out.

Rockstar games' new controversial game "Manhunt" has been banned in New Zealand, according to sources of one of our biggest newspapers. What? Does anyone know what it's about and why the cesnor should want to keep it out of our country? My feelings are that it's just a video game and harmless entertainment, like GTA, which wasn't banned here. According to The Press (very reliable source) you are htis guy who recieves orders from an earpieces to kill people, anybody, at random, socring more points for however gruesome the kill i s, one example given to The Press is suffocation, and you get a close up shot of you victim gasping for air, as soonas I read that, I though it way to horrible for me, I'll stick with GTA thanks, but who am I to censor what others wnat to see/play? I am just wondering if there's anythign else that makes the game a worthy candidate for banning release in New Zealand.

Yuo are a very talented artist James, there are some great techniques you used to make those banners, like my favourite one..... What is that picture off? It looks really cool, it reminds me of the anime chick on the old boards logo (pre christmas - pre registration) Nice effects, keep up the coll artwork. - Ozzy.

Clay Aitken is a super performer, He has great vocals, and his music is refreshing to listen to, same with Ruben, they're both good and I reckon they both deserved to be winners. ( a duet album would be cool, though doubtful) It's not usually my taste in music, I more of a Hip Hop/RnB guy myself, I do however enjoy the American Idol performances he gavem along with Ruben Studdard who is, a great entertainer (go the velvet teddy bear!) New zealand Idol has just started over here, I'm going to audition for it if I can, then you can hear me try to sing like clay Aitken, I'm sure I'm one of the bunch who can't sing for nutz! Edit: do you think that poll is a good Idea? First you ask for an honest opinion woith a poll (that's the idea of those thigns, isn't it?) and then you diss all the other options apart from Clay Aitken, sorry, but it seems rather childish to me.

I've been the victim of hate crimes before, this is because I used to live bear a gang of skinheads who would just pick on anyoine black, and they used a weird form of >>"religion"

If that's true, I'm indeed a hacker, arrest me. Flash is just a player for media content on the web, unless he is of course referring to the crack to make the creation tool flash illegal. Comet Cursor is just an annoying little ***** of a toolbar, that isn't a havckign tool at all lol. (I'm gunna h4c|< ur computer wif a web search t00lb4r!) Same wiht BonziBuddy, how is a (albeit simply annoying) singing and dancing purple gorilla a hacking tool? it's spyware, that spys on the person running it, and only the person running it. Thank god we got rid of it, If I heard it sing Dai-Zee Dai-Zee one more time, i would have screamed and died. I fail to see how these tools and adware are "hacking tools" perhaps whoever compiled that "caveat emptor-ish" list just happened to leave out true hacking software accidentaly.
