I'm not old enough to vote, being only 14 and all.... I live in Florida, and I wish Mcbride had won... I hate all the publicity commercials about how Jeb Bush "cares about the children's education and the schools"... If he cares so much, then why is the school system slowly being destroyed? Do they call cutting our 7th subject beneficial...for the kids? Yeah...okay...

I buy mine at Media Play and Borders... Sometimes they have a fair selection at Books a million, but I hate that place...

Eh, I thought it was cool, but it was a bit boring at some parts. The actions is pretty good, and it was very techy, so I liked that aspect of it, but I had to stop it in the middle and take a break because it was just a little dull at some parts, and I didn't really understand where the plot was going, even once it was over...
Originally posted by sweetreyes Have any of you heard of a series called Angel Layers... and love Hina!! I wanna know about those 2 I've seen them in the store but I wanna know if they good enough to buy...But as of now I'm just waiting on the next Chobits to come out.. I've got the first 3 and I can't wait for the rest!! Are there more volumes to Chobits?
Angel Layers...sounds familier. oh, are you talking about Angelic Layers? I have the first volume of that, and it's good, but CLAMP has better works, IMO. I dunno, I mean, I liked it, but I think there's better stuff. I know a lot of people like Love Hina, but I've never read it... Yeah, there are more volumes of Chobits coming out. According to Tokyopop there are "5+". Volume 4 comes out February 11...
Originally posted by Rick Hunter Though as for the G-Gundam additions I really think they are going to burn out that show like they did with DBZ.
They don't seem to think so... Considering how much money they've made off DBZ, they're probably very willing to burn out G-Gundam... CN is kind of irritating like that. One show becomes a hit, and they paste it all over the place... Not many other stations have new hit shows on that many different time blocks...

Anime Just picked up "VHD: Bloodlust"! ...and you won't believe where!
amiboshi replied to JCBaggee's topic in Otaku Central
I've never looked for anime in Wal-mart.... strange. Although I'm actually not surprised you found VHD: Bloodlust. It's not very rare... Even Blockbuster and the little video rental store by me has it... But Genkai said he saw Ceres there....I'm surprised at that. ^-^ Ceres isn't too common... Have to look at Wal-mart sometime, I guess. Ours is a pain, though. They'll have 15 people waiting to check out and 1 cash-register open.... -
Originally posted by amibasuki gaw, they have a volumes 21? I haven't even seen a 13 yet 0_o'. then again, I haven't gone shopping for a good couple of months...
Viz has only released 12 volumes so far, but I'm pretty sure there are 25 volumes currently, and it's still going... I'm uh...reading fan scanlations... :bluesweat heh heh...
Originally posted by amibasuki man, it would be awesome if our library carried manga..... my favorite shounen manga was Akira; that is, up until the 4th novel, when it started getting to be too much content-wise. the first 3 weren't as bad, they just seemed to really slab it all in the 4th one. I couldn't even finish reading it. as for Takahashi novels (Ranma and Inu-Yasha in particular), each of the series are good up to about the 10th novel. then they just repeat the same scenarios over and over. that's probably why there are what, 34-36 volumes of Ranma 1/2 total.
I thought Ranma 1/2 was too repetitive by the 5th volume...lol. But Inu-Yasha is still pretty good, IMO. I'm on volume...21 or 22 and it does repete a bit, but not enough to be dull. ^-^

I just bought this the other day, and I just don't find it very funny. T.T Some of the jokes I thought were funny, like their nextdoor neighbor that doesn't say anything... ^-^ I dunno, overall I thought it was okay, but I didn't find it hilarious...

I'm glad to hear they're changing some of the all-dbz lineups... There was just a little too much of that on... I don't really care for G-Gundam either, but it's better than DBZ.

I have really no clue of what people think of me. Not many people really know me here, especially since I mostly post in general anime. I hope people don't find me annoying, but I can never be sure... If anyone hates me, I guess that's too bad, since I can't really change my personality. :p

What is Sol Bianca? I've heard of it, but I can't remember what it's about or anything... BTW, your sig is too big...;)

That's what I was thinking... Just because I haven't seen Patlabor and Macross and all that stuff....that means I'm not a true anime fan? Um...okay...:bluesweat Anyway, I only got 16 since I'm really only a shoujo fan...lol. I could only answer the Sailor Moon, MKR, and that Tenchi question...:cross:
Originally posted by GoldScorpion78 How did you change your name like that?
Didn't you read the stickies James had? Like..."IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT"? That's about name changes, too.... I got upset when Videl was getting beat up, too... But I'm a girl, and I don't find her sexy or anything...lol. It's characters attachments.;) I've been reading Angel Sanctuary, and I finally met Mika-chan, so I have to say, I find him very sexy.^-^ I love Mika-chan! He's also Mikael.... Also, Sano and Nakatsu from Hanazakari no Kimitachi E are really sexy, too. *huggles Nakatsu avatar*

I got wristcutter... I have to disagree with that one...:all: I don't really think I'm like wristcutter... -
My computer, internet, anime, and manga. I'm totally addicted to all four of those things and they're my only relief after school or stressful things... Life is just too boring without them. ;)

Peach Girl is good. ^-^ I like Tokyopop's manga better than Viz. It's much cheaper.... Plus Tokyopop releases much faster than Viz. I'm sick of waiting for the next Inu-Yasha and Fushigi Yuugi graphic novel...
Originally posted by Acid Dragon Knights is great! :) Currently that is the only manga I have buckled down and read, but it's great! Heh, my friend has two of the MKR books and I will borrow them when I get around to it.
Yes! Finally someone else who likes Dragon Knights! ^-^ No one seems to like the series, but I think after the first volume it's REALLY good. The first 3 books of MKR aren't that great IMO. I really liked the last 3 though, that was the heart and soul of the series. ;) I bought them all in a row because I just couldn't stop reading once I hit that point...
Originally posted by Syk3 Deffinitly, Ranma 1/2 is great. My friend let me borrow the first manga, and it's just as funny as the show, if not funnier. And yeah, I suppose I like manga, not as much as anime, but meh, that's just people's preferences. However, I can admit that the book makes it easier to understand. You can read back and everything. But anime is still cooler because you see it in color, the characters have voices, and it's so much more realistic and dramatic.
Ranma 1/2 is good, but once I had hit volume 5 I was a little sick of it... Plus Viz can't seem to decide on a common size for all the books... I couldn't see paying $17 for a book that was even skinnier than the tokyopop books. It was only like 100 pages... I think depending on how you read, manga can be even more realistic than anime. I'm really into manga, and it comes to life in my mind, and the characters have whatever voices I want them to, so there's nothing to bother me. I guess it's simply opinion, but I would almost say manga is more dramatic and realistic. When I read something, I put lots of emotion into it, so it becomes very dramatic to me.:toothy: I recall reading Fushigi Yuugi and getting very emotional about it... Then when I watched the anime, it just wasn't the same.

I don't really care for the show. It seems like too much of a hype like Pokemon to me.... Kids go crazy in the show over these little spinning tops... just seems too odd for me. O.o And all the kids have strangely shaped faces.... O.o;;

Ah! I really love manga! I love it more than anime, probably! ^-^ American-released manga....I suggest one of my faves, Dragon Knights. The first volume isn't that good, but all the ones after that are really excellent. I also suggest Fushigi Yuugi, Marmalade Boy, Paradise Kiss, X/1999 is really good, but a bit morbid, and depending on what you like, try Magic Knights Rayearth or Ranma 1/2. It really depends on your taste, but those are my favorite mangas. ^^ You should also check out mangaproject.cjb.net... heheheh...

I just rewatched the 2 episodes I have, and now they work, so I got episode 3, and I'm hooked. :p I really don't prefer fighting shows, but this show is really great. I didn't get bored at all. I can't wait to see the rest.

I like the snowflakes. ^-^ It adds a little more color to the main page, too. All I want for Christmas is money....so I can buy the stuff I want, since no one seems to get me what I ask for anyway...:p

I just rented the DVD set with the 13 episode OVA...I guess that's the grey witch trilogy? It was pretty good. I couldn't stop watching it, so I stayed up till 2 in the morning on a school night to see all of it. lol. I like the last few episodes the best, and I thought the beginning was a bit slow, but I liked it, overall. ^-^

There were some cool fight scenes in the 2 that I saw, but what really got me was the timing of the video or my crappy computer. Nothing they said matched the animation. It was all messed up, and it just bugged the crap out of me too much to continue. :p The manga looks okay, but I think the anime would be better, since it's an action show with all those energy attacks and everything. ^-^
