It's actually a quite simple reason why Kaiba has green hair in the true first series of Yu-gi-oh and it really has nothing to do with the millennium items. Basically, when they made the 2nd series (the one we know and love in North America TVs), they changed the animation to digital quality (if you've seen the first series, you know how much better the quality is the current series) and also they changed the character designs. Hence, this should be why Kaiba became brown-haired instead of green-haired.

Yea this topic has a good chance of being closed any minute but i'll put up my post newaz :whoops: Here goes. 1. Sagara Sanosuke from Kenshin- Yuji Ueda gave Sanosuke quite possible one of the best voices for the series. It just matches the character so well. Aside from his voice, he has a good attidude where he strives never to lose a battle and is always determined to improve. 2. Yami Yugi from Yu-Gi-oh- smart guy that knows what he has to do and knows that you can win no matter what kind of situation you're in. He also has cool hair! 3. Vash from Trigun- just a cool guy. He has a strange past which intertwines with his present and future. This makes him all the more mysterious as a person.

The G Gundam cockpit is a nice idea they came up with. Like others said, it seems more probable that machinery like Gundams should be controlled through this way and not the tradional system used in the other Gundam series like Gundam Wing. Since Wing came out after G Gundam, I don't get why this cockpit style didnt carry over to it. It's a good idea they came up with.

Anime Yaoi/shonen-ai: what's the attraction?
VP-Master replied to Utena_Tenjou's topic in Otaku Central
I just find those kind of anime sick. There are quite a lot of people who watch these anime genres so my question is Why do you guys like these kind of shows? Maybe there's something good about it that I haven't seen or heard of... -
K here goes... 1. While there a lot of nice people in the world today, as a whole population, we can safely say that there a lot of people today that are rude and mean. It's just sad to see how many jerks that are around these days. 2. It's the way we're brought up. Some families (I'm not saying all) don't give as much emspasis on being a nice person and manners are looked over many times in today's society. 3. People say you should eat with your right hand when holding eating utensils. Being left-handed, I really get ticked off at that (even tho it isn't a big deal). It shouldn't be considered good manners just because your eating with the right hand but we're outnumbered like 10 to 1 so right-handed people can take the credit for this...

Most of the not-well known anime that were in my mind have been taken but Full Metal Panic is a great new anime that just finished airing new eps in Japan last June. Forgive me if someone already mentioned this title but it's a great show. I've currently seen 12 eps of this show (out of 24 total) and I like what I see. Thankfully, this show has been liscenced by ADV so look out for the DVD releases possibly later this year or 2003. Don't miss it.

Ah, there are quite a few, but I'll give an example with Kenshin. The morals for the show are its never too late to change regardless who you used to be in the past, follow your dreams, and never give up in what you believe in. There are some others but I can't think of them at the moment.

What is "mainstream anime" you say? Well, I bet most of the people who posted before said similar things of what I'm about to say, but I'll just post this newaz. To me, mainstream anime are shows you see on big TV networks (Fox, WB, CN, ABC Fam, etc). In addition to having their show on a network, these kind of shows also sell various products at your local stores in order for people get into the show. If the marketers of the show are successful, they get a new hit and the new talk of the town. Personally, I'm not against "widespread anime" but I'm not fond of them either. Shows like Yu-gi-oh and the Gundam series are nice to watch on TV, but if you see them in their true form (uncut and unedited) on DVD/VHS or by other means, you notice how much better the show actually is when it isn't watered down by the network. Mainstream anime and dubbed anime are seperate from each other. Almost always, though, Mainstream anime is introduced by a dub and not a sub. But when you buy the eps, people do choose some anime in its dubbed form (don't ask me why cuz I only watched subbed unless its Ranma) so it doesn't have to be a widespread show to have a dub. One thing that is good of the Widespread anime is that it gets people hooked on to the show and sometimes even anime in general. So if you want more of your friends or people in general to like anime, mainstream anime really helps to do this. And now I'm finally done typing this. :wigout:

Over the years, we've seen many new and unique launch for the Nintendo systems. Starting from the classic NES and now with an *interesting* new one for Gamecube. I'm just curious to see which Zelda do you feel is the best game of all time. I haven't played all of them but so far, but I think Oracle of Ages is the best Zelda game I've played. It's got a great story, lot of challenge, and nice long quest. So what game do you think is best?

I'm really looking forward to The Tuxedo. Jackie Chan is one of my favorite actors so why wouldn't I go see this movie? The critics may not rate this movie too highly but who cares. As long as Chan does his thing, I'll be happy and so will everyone else

Inuyasha is a great anime. I mean, they must be doing something right if the manga and anime are still so popular in Japan. I've seen the dub on cn adult swim and it was ok. Some of the voices are good while the other are just wierd. The sub is a lot better but regardless, Inuyasha is really fun to watch and I hope it will remain successful in Japan and in the US too.

G Gundam is a great series in my opinion. The fights are exciting to watch (even tho its unrealistic to see how such heavy machinery moves so fast but it is Gundam), and the plot is decent (it couldd've been better) but they got a good storyline. One thing I dont like is how they cut out some stuff in the TV version so I hope that I can get my hands on a DVD that has subtitles. Overall, fun series to watch. Beats Gundam Wing any day (no offense to any Wing fans :P).

I'd like to see a lot more of Yuyuhakusho so that might be a good thing for me since i havent seen much else on Adult Swim. 3 hours of cowboy bebop would be good too but i hope they can start showing it from the beginning later on so i can understand what's going on.

Anime quite stupid (in my opinion anyway....)
VP-Master replied to spike speigel's topic in Otaku Central
I haven't seen it yet because I dont have CN but it looks a bit too kiddish. Is it about a hamster and his adventures or something? That just seems too lame if it is. -
Originally posted by Darkmoon So we'r watching S2? I never knew that... What was S1 about?
I really would consider the season currently in the US season 1. True, there was an original series that aired before it but that is quite different from the yu-gi-oh we see here in the US. That series only aired 27 eps in 1998 before it was cancelled and the creator created the new series with "better twists and surprises" in 2000. The new series isn't supposed to be related to the old one as some new character were added, some were changed, and some were thrown out from the old show and not to mention a lot of plot changed (though not all of it). So this technically is the first season if Yu-Gi-oh.

Kenshin is a great anime and probably would be on my favorite anime list if i ever decided to make one. Ive seen 31 eps of the show (I think its a total of 95 eps) and the OVas so far and Im looking forward to see the rest. The OVAs are a lot more serious and have much more violence in them. Not to mention, it is the ulitmate end of the series.

Maybe it's spam but it sure is funny. Man ive been laughing for quite some time looking at those. Thx for the comic relief.

Only got a bio and global final besides those. I think itll be alright. Only 3 days of finals and then out of school finally.

I have quite a few eps of Inu Yasha but I never bothered watching it since I've only been watching Kenshin and Full Metal Panic these past few weeks. But based on what you guys think about it, maybe I should start watching it now.

As many ppl have already, the nuclear bombing is merely a threat. India and Pakistan have been in similar situations before and its basically that both sides have their gun's ready but neither of them are gonna pull the trigger right now. Recent actions from both countries do make it rather alarming. With part of my family that is currently living in India, I just really hope they don't errupt in war.

I want the Redwings to win too since my favorite teams got knocked out in the Semis. I haven't been following the Stanley Cup a lot this year because I've been following the NBA playoffs religiously but go Detroit.

i still got three more weeks of school including finals from last Wednesday. I'm looking forward to it cuz under 3 weeks ain't much time. Over summer, I just want to watch some new Anime series and play some b-ball 24/7. :wigout:

Thanks to those that have responded to the survey so far. If about 5 or more ppl could take it, that would be awesome. Also, please remember to answer all 10 questions. Thx.

It's surprisingly doesn't seem to do much with biology itslef but my guess is that the questions on personal background are basically to see what generally people of different genders, races, and areas view about evolution. It's a simple survey.
