1. Alright. At the risk of sounding repetitive, this thread has gone on far too long at this quality level. To avoid the lock that I am itching to do, I am giving you the chance to raise your quality level. Refer to these: Otakuboards Rules and these: Adventure Square Rules, and apply them (specifically the bits regarding quality) to your thread. You have been warned. Thank you.
 2.
"Riku"he replied bluntly.
...
1. Post length and quality should be reflective of the collaborative storytelling that is going on in this forum. Though there is no set length requirement, anything less than a couple decent paragraphs (decent meaning more than four sentences) will be considered spam.
So far, of all of you, only Nefertimon seems to have put any effort, at all, into their posts. For their sake, this RP will be spared an immediate lock. However, if thread quality continues as it is, I will lock this thread. Read these: Board Rules and these Adventure Inn Rules and apply them to your thread. This is your warning.
 3. Suddenly, a massive orange Gundam thingy - backed up by an even bigger blue Gundam thingy - appears (randomly) in midair. A loudspeaker blares out. "Attention, Gundam RPers. Please raise the quality of this thread's grammar and spelling before I, as Moderator, am forced to lock it. Thank you, good day." And then it flies off to destroy something else. In other words, read these: Otakuboards Rules and these: Adventure Square Rules, and apply them (specifically the bits regarding quality) to your thread. You have been warned. Thank you.
 4. Alright, kids, here's the deal. Your House of Horrors just got a slight bit more difficult. You have to raise the quality of this thread, or you meet the undignified end of Lockage, brought about by repeated whackings with the Stick of Smiting (atk +1000, def +50). I would advise reading the board rules and the Adventure Square rules as well. You have been warned....
 5. Alright, folks, this thread has gone on far too long. I am ashamed to say I allowed it to go on. Each and every one of you have been warned in the Inn for various offenses, mostly quality. The rules of Otakuboards - which you agreed to when you joined this forum and began posting - are very precise on the subject of quality. A link to the rules on quality is right here, and also on your sidebar. These rules of quality are stressed in the Sticky. This sticky is at the top of the Inn and the top of the Square. There is no excuse for not reading (and obeying) the sticky. This thread fails to comply to the rules rather miserably. As such, it is being locked. At the risk of being redundant, Thread Locked.
 6. "Oh, I like this..." Sparks growled sarcastically, tramping through the tall grass on their way to the east side of the island. "I'm going to recommend this place for vacations once we get back." Vernacular chuckled. "See, as I know you are being facetious, jocular, kidding - in essence, sarcastic - I will not tell you that I, indeed, would find this local, demain, place quite pleasant on a vacation..." Sparks fixed the other woman with a glare. "You're joking." Her boot hit a rock, and she tumbled to the ground, rolling back to her feet and pretending as if nothing had happened, although Vernacular was smirking at her. "There's no technology, we're surrounded by flippin' plants, and that satyr was giving me the eye back at the Inn..." She shuddered. Vernacular just laughed. "That's somethin' right out of legends, tales, myths, stories as well, also..." She nimbly followed Sparks down the hill. "Satyrs falling in love with mortal humans..." "EW, no." Sparks shuddered again. "They have fur." "This is indeed, truth, fact, a salient point....but satyrs aside, I was not being jovial or in jest about this making a fine, marevelous, delightful vacation point...the pastoral seaside nature...it is quite relaxing..." The two women lapsed into silence as they crested the hill....hitting upon precisely the same problem Sakura and Impulse were having. "Oh my..." "That's....um..." Sparks scratched her head, looking at the miles of plants, framed - in the distance - by the clear blue of the ocean. "I would advise we begin our search, hunt, exa-" "Ah, shut it." Vernacular stuck her tongue out, moving into the field. "Then start looking."
 7.
I wish I was sexy XD
Yippee. You are now teh ubersmex. Sadly, this causes you to become attracted to yourself, and your Narcassitic tendancies drive your friends away in droves until you are left a depressed, cranky old (yet still strangely attractive) person, all alone. I wish I could summon music from empty air.

 12. Alright. This thread has actually gone on long enough. According to the Otakuboards Rules,
Incoherent/Sloppy Posts: At OtakuBoards, we greatly emphasize the concept of having clear, easy to read posts. This includes correct use of spelling, grammar and punctuation. If a member is posting with very poor quality, they will be asked to clean up their future posts. If the member persists in posting poorly, they will be banned from the site.
Please, refrain from using the 'word' "u" in place of "you". Textspeak and internet 'shorthand' is unnecessary. Use a spell checker if you don't know how to spell a word, or ask someone who would know how to spell it. Use puncuation to indicate pauses, use correct spacing in paragraphs, so you don't have one large block of text. Debates regarding whether a post/bio/signup is long enough should be handled via PM; the only thing besides signups that should be in a signup thread are answers to questions about the RP themselves, and we would prefer those be asked in the Underground, anyway. If you have any questions or complaints, PM myself or any other moderator/administrator and we will address them. Thread Locked
 13. She hadn't been thrilled to get the letter. Strange letters never meant anything good. Ever. Specifically not when they talked of such nonsense. Last time she'd recieved such a letter, it had been after her aquaintence Harold - the math teacher at the small bording school where she was currently employed - had discovered Jules Verne... She hadn't been trilled to see the robed being, either. Thus far, her only encounter with robed beings had been when Harold (funny, most of her odd expiriences looped back to Harold) had decided to torment the English professor by sending the Ghost of Christmas Future to haunt him on All Hallow's Eve...while - normally - such childish pursuits were beyond her, it had seemed like an amusing diversion at the time... This, however, was no Ghost of Christmas Future, although he claimed to be from a time that wasn't quite now...she had to rule out that this was Harold on the account that he - She? It? - looked to be several feet taller than the human norm. Perhaps this was all some odd dream, Maddie thought as she followed the robed being down the hall. She'd been tired the day before...robed beings and time travel...they were from speculative fiction, not something to be taken seriously...right? She maintained that mental viewpoint until something seemed to change. She almost stopped as the air seemed to become heavier...she stopped, shaking her head to clear it...when she looked down, there was an almost-lattice under her feet, support there and yet not-threre, black, with deepest, darkest blue and what looked like stars shining through...that darkness went on forever... The figure turned, shaking his head. "You can't stop. Keep moving, I'll tell you when it's safe to stop..." Maddie couldn't take her eyes off the stars. "Safe?" "You're between timelines now. Stopping...could wind up with you being split across several timelines." Few things are half as motivational. Maddie sped back up, soon passing the robed figure - Time Lord? - as she did. Before too long, the weight was almost enough to make her feel moments from collapse...and then the weight was gone, faded away into mist as she stepped out into a room so clinically clean that the reflections off the polished silver almost hurt. "We're here." Maddie fixed the hooded thing with a Glare. "I can tell..." The Glare did nothing. The Time Lord steered her to the canteen, where she was left to fend for herself. She squared her shoulders, stepping through the doors. This would be an odd expirience...
 14. Heh. I had a dark base, then saw this request, so...yeah! Banner: As for the avi, I wasn't sure what you meant, "Not full logo" so I just kinda expirimented... 15. I used to try this with grade-school friends against my bedroom mirror....being six and seven year old girls, however, we always freaked each other out and never ever got to thirteen. A boy in our neighborhood had one with Freddy Kueger...if you said Freddy Kueger three times, his claws would show up behind you in the mirror, and you'd hear him laughing... Of course, at seven, I had no idea who Freddy was, nor that he was a movie character and thus couldn't hurt me anyway, but the thought of claws freaked me out so I never tried.
 16. Name: Mahima Gavaskar. Age: 43. Gender: Female. Place of Origin: Born in Bangalore, India, moved to London, England, at the age of 20. Known History: Mahima was born and raised in Bangalore, India, in a traditional Indian family. She grew up in that culture, learning to cook and clean and sew and be a "good wife". As such, not much of note happened to her in her early life. When Mahima was eighteen, her family set out to make a match for her. And, unlike some girls, Mahima agreed with the man who was chosen for her, and began what would be avery pleasant marriage to a moderatly sucessful businessman named Bhuta Gavaskar. Not a full year into their marriage, though, Bhuta decided London was the place to be. And so that's where they went. Several uneventful years passed. the couple had four children, and, thanks to Bhuta's sucessful career, had a large house near Hyde Park. Her children began to grow older - Mahima happily nagging them all the way - and soon, as her oldest, her daughter Indira, was old enough to be married, shocking the community (and her parents) by choosing (yes, choosing!) a Westerner, a nice man named David Finchley. After some time (and loud arguments) Mahima was forced to give in. Indira was given her parents' blessings...and the last thing Mahima remembers before awakening is the happy night before Indira's wedding. Personality: Mahima's personality pretty is much what you would expect it to be. She's very motherly, with a slight - or maybe not so slight - nagging edge when she feels things aren't going her way. She is as protective as an enraged tiger over those she cares for. She also has a somewhat hysterical side, which often comes into play when she feels as if she isn't recieving enough attention...these hysterics often come in the form of the dreaded 'headache', a favored attention getter and convienient excuse. She also has a tendancy to pout. Appearance: Mahima is a small woman, standing at four feet, eleven inches tall. She once had a graceful face with defined cheekbones and large eyes. Now some of the definition has faded, leaving behind a kind ? if slightly wrinkled ? dignity. Her body is slender and toned in a healthy - but not too athletic - way. Her hair is short, maybe an inch and a half long, and black, beginning to grey at the temples. Mahima has brownish eyes that have a very strong golden-yellow tinge. She generally wears bright colors - yellows, oranges and greens - and skirts and saris; rarely ever will she wear pants. She also usually wears heavy makeup on her eyes and lips, but applied in a skillful manner. Animal Genes: Chameleon (Calumma parsonii) Hybrid Abilities: Color Changing - Mahima can change the color of her skin. Stimulus for doing so can be involuntary, based on moods, but she can also change intentionally. It's a gradual process, generally starting at the extremities - fingers and toes, mostly - before spreading inwards. There doesn't seem to be any color she can't mimic, although hot pink gives her a headache and she refuses to try neon yellow. This is the strongest of her abilities. Tongue - one of the abilities Mahima is not exactly fond of displaying is her tongue. Much longer than a typical humans, and rather sticky, Mahima is capable of lashing her tongue out and drawing small items back to herself quite easily. However, the weight she can retrieve without hurting herself is rather limited - and there is no way on earth she could lift herself with it. Heightened Vision - Mahima is capable of processing two seperate fields of vision. Unlike a typical human, she can focus her left eye fully left, and her right eye fully right. She tries not to think about the implications - it gives her a headache.

In case you didn't notice, Deathsye, this thread has been dead for quite some time; the last post before yours was made over a year and a half ago. The ressurection of long-dead threads is frowned upon in this forum, please respect the fact that they're dead. Stick to the threads on the first page, and you'll fare much better. To the others who followed Deathsye, please to be checking the "thread started" date to make sure that the thread you are joining is, in fact, active and not a wasted carcass of a long-gone RP. 20. Name: Cynthia Madeline Jameson, but I go by Maddie. Age: 24 Race: Human, thank you very much. Timeline/Date: 1914 Origin: Earth, United States of America, Milky Way Galaxy...anything else you need? Special Talents: I have the rare ability of being able to cow a class of irate children, I do not see how this would help you...I also have the skill to teach what needs to be taught, and am inherently brilliant in the area of logic, though I don?t expect you to care. Weapons/Items: Weaponry? I am about as skilled with weaponry as a kitten. As for items?a notebook and something to write with should suffice. Appearance: I have blonde hair that ? when free ? reaches my waist, but I hardly ever wear it free as it curls frightfully. I usually braid it and pin that up in a nice bun. My eyes are steely blue, and hidden behind a pair of light framed spectacles. For these I am extremely grateful, as I can hardly see worth two-bits without them. I?ve been told I am tall for a woman, which I would like to counter is rather unfair. I stand at five feet, nine inches tall. Perhaps that is a little tall, but surely it doesn?t warrant pointing out. I fear that despite all my schooling, grace and form escaped me. I have been described as being ?all legs, hands and feet?, which (while I dispute the inherent rudeness at having that pointed out) I must agree with. For those looking for a ?classical beauty?, I am not much to look at. I have a sharp-featured face that matches my sharp-edged tongue, and dress sedately, keeping my skirts long and calmly colored. Personality: Although generally quiet, I am not in the least reserved. As I mentioned before, I have a sharp tongue, and am very opinionated, although I will at least mask it with steely cold politeness. I do not miss much, and the students who tried to sneak anything past me usually regretted it in the end. I do have a sense of humor, but I do not drag it out to amuse my fellows, you need to earn a glimpse of it. Biography: I do not have much to tell. As any young woman from my time can tell you, woman are for the most part not able to do much before they come of age, a mere six years ago for me. I was born in Kansas on a small farm. Not much happens in Kansas, and that?s precisely what happened to me: not much. I quickly grew tired of the monotony of nothingness, and decided to become a teacher. I moved out to New York City to better further this desire when I was fourteen. I have been a teacher since age twenty, and have supposedly risen in the ranks to become one of the better thought of teachers in the city since then. I suppose that will change, unless I can be back by the beginning of the fall term?

 25.
Ooh...Maybe it's Nessie. Anyway, you have my interest. Though, Ikillion did have a point when he mentioned Pirates...that ship with the tattered flag makes me think that as well. It brings to mind epic sword battles on the high seas and what not, though fighting the Kraken could be fun. *cough* sorry, I'm a mythology nut. Because of this RP, I'll probably be brushing up on my knowledge of mythical sea creatures. I'm in, when ever the sign-ups open.
Um...Nessie would have to be on quite the field trip there, good buddy...hahah. Gavin! I had meant to ask - I know you mentioned the pirate element, but how much of the modern element - the Star Tiger, Flight 19, radio waves, time oddities, USOs and UFOs, among others - will be in this? For as truly awesome as all the stuff that's been 'happening' there for the last several hundred years is, it's the last sixty, seventy years that fascinate me the most....>D That being said, I can't wait for this to be up.
