Mmm. Elizabethtown Pennsylvnia. Hmm...scanning....scanning... I'm failing to pick up anything really interesting about this area. I's only two hours from Philly, which is cool, and the scenery's beautiful, but that's about it. Except for TMI. It's such a joy to know I live 5 minutes away from Nuclear Meltdown...

I don't cry about anime usually, but [spoiler]the entire scene with Wolfwood in "paradise" where he's talking about wanting to go on living, and was his whole life a lie, was he wrong all those years...and then he dies all alone...[/spoiler] That actually made me cry. Also [spoiler]the scene that opens right after Vash shoots Legato...with him freaking out, and then you just hear him screaming...[/spoiler] That almost made me cry. But other than that, none have made me cry thus far.

I wear stuff that went out about 40 years ago. It's enough to say that usually when we're in thrift stores I'm walking around like "Why would somebody give this away?" and my sister's response is usually along the lines of "Because that went out before mom was born". What can I say? It makes life interesting.

I have a few... Blondie: Only my dad calls me this, and the reason behind it should be fairly self-explanitory. Hutch: Only my sister calls me this. It has to do with my hair color again, but also with the fact that she has brown hair and we're best friends. She's Starsky, I'm Hutch. Sarah Sue: My mom calls me that. No clue why.

I, too, collect coins. I have some form Oman (very weird looking) Bbut those are the most exotic. I also collect Peanuts memorabilia, Snoopy in particular. And old tapes. I used to have a bunch of good ones, but they got sold on accident. :( If I had more money, I'd have all the Beatles albums on CD. As it is, I only have Rubber Soul...on cassette. Bleck.)

1. [B]The Lord of the Rings[/B]. Yeah, so technically that's three movies right there, but you can't watch them seperatly. You just can't. 2. [B]Mr. Smith Goes to Washington[/B]. Politically great movie made years before political movies started being the thing. Jimmy Stewart is just perfect. 3. [B]HELP![/B]. Yeah, it is somewhat lacking in the "inspiring plot" area, but the fact that it's The Beatles more than makes up for it...great soundtrack, funny lines... :love:

I've only heard two songs by them (Engel and Sonne), but those two songs have permanent positoions on my playlists. Of course, I'm not ever gonna try to translate it...I don't want to know what they're saying. I like my willfull ignorance.... :rolleyes:

July, most beautiful of the Eight Cities, is gone, turned into a flatlands of ash and rubble; of sand turned to glass. Who?who could?ve done this? I sit huddled in a corner of one of the relief tents, a blanket wrapped around my shoulders to preserve my dignity. The blast tore my clothes to shreds?they barely stay on. I hadn?t even noticed, until the cavalry member had draped the blanket over my shoulders. I sit in the corner, listening to some of the men talking. ?Yeah, I hear it was that stranger who did it?the one with the long coat.? I frown, trying to remember?the tall man? The one the face of an angel? I had watched him just yesterday morning, playing hide-and seek with Mrs. Nightrow?s children...he?d been so gentle? ?His name?well?I hear tell his name is ?Vast Ash? on account of what he does?he roams Gunsmoke, murderin? and destroyin??he leaves a path of destruction behind him, towns he?s burned to ashes?? I?ve almost had enough, almost get up and yell at the men? But they wouldn?t listen to me?me, a young woman just out of girlhood. It couldn?t have been that nice man. He?d bought two dozen doughnuts from Blind Nina?everyone knew the old woman needed money, but she was too proud to accept charity. The stranger had overpaid her? I?m stopped from my mental defenses by a woman cavalry member...would I care to get dressed? Oh, yes, please! As he draws closer, I can see it?s one of the little girls, one of Tulie?s friends?he sets her down gently, in a patch of ground clear of the rubble and turns to go. His golden hair has turned silver in the moons? light. He sees me watching him, and in his emerald eyes is a look of heart-shattering pain. He turns to go?I know he is hearing what the men are still saying. ?Death?s too good for killers like him.? ?They?ll hang him, though?won?t they?? ?If they catch him? Sure. Don?t he deserve it? As I said?I know he hears?you can see it?the deep sadness etched on an angel?s face as he turns; disappearing into the sand and ash that they?re claiming he made; that they?re claiming he?s named for. I move to pick up the little girl, maybe the only survivor of my neighborhood, watching the red coat disappear into the shadows. ?God be with you,? That's the first fanfiction I [i]ever[/i] finished, and the only one I have posted anywhere yet. I got the idea from a guy named ArkNorth, who posts a lot at Fanfiction.net. In one of his epic-length fanfics, he refers to Vash hearing survivors of the July Incident saying his name was short for Vast Ash. The only way I seem to be able to write is through the eyes of nobody-characters, so it just seemed to work. Please tell me what you think...
