Kia had been walking down the bridge when she had heard Sakura's message: that she was going to fight Magus alone. 'Fool,' she thought. She knew (from previous encounter) that even seven or eight players would have a rough time handling Magus, and that was assuming one of them was Kite, or else they wouldn't even be able to harm it. If that was the case, however, a lowly level one player such as Kia had no right to to interfere with 'higher matters'. Suddenly, Kia was warped to a blank area. Kia screamed in surprise. Then, a familiar person appeared if front of her. To a normal player, he would look like the NPC's that run the town shops. Kia, however, knew that this was the form that Lios, the System Administrator himself chose when he entered "the World". He looked at Kia with a burning stare. "Anomaly,"he sneered,"I've found you at last. You've eluded us long enough." "Well, it certainly took you long enough. Your little 'server crash' incident didn't work on me, though, did it?"Kia replied, recalling the time a couple years ago when CC Corp crashed the server, making it look like an accident. They had been trying to destroy Kia and all the others who were in comas by shutting down the system, but Kia had survived, because her data was protected for some reason... "That was before we knew your nature, anomaly. Your data was protected, so you were unaffected. The other comatose players, however, didn't survive the incident. Now I come here equipped with the weapon I need to destroy you, and forget this whole problem ever existed." You mean all of that was just some kind of cover-up?" "Exactly." "You're a sick person! You all are!"Kia screamed at Lios. Lios grinned and stretched his arm towards her, his wrist glowing blue. There was something familiar about that glow...it reminded Kia of Kite, somehow... "We've formed a sort of copy of your little friend's data trick,"Lios explained,"A shadow of his power. I'll destroy your protection, and the delete you as I would've done a long time ago!"The familiar shape of the Bracelet suddenly jumped out from the glow on his wrist, snapped forward, and loosed the Data Drain on Kia. The bands of data shot out from the bracelet and tore through Kia's body, ripping apart the protective data that shielded her from the worst effects of being comatose or dead. When he was finished with the drain, the Bracelet shattered. The program they had created had been designed for this purpose only; to prevent Lios from becoming too powerful, the program self-destructed after use. Kia knew she was surely finished. Lios began to power up the deletion program, which took the form of a massive ball of light in his hand. "I will delete you now,"he said, stating the obvious. But at the last possible moment, Helba warped in, and formed a protective Data barrier around Kia. Kia, cringing with her hands over her eyes to shield herself (futile, of course) didn't realize what was happening until she noticed that she wasn't gone. "Now really, Lios,"Helba said defiantly,"is that really any way to treat a little girl? Do you even realize that since that server error you cleverly devised, the number of comatosse players has nearly tripled?"And with these last, somewhat unnerving words to Lios, Helba warped herself and Kia out of the 'blank field'. Kia was left completely unharmed by Lios, she realized, aside from one horrible problem: her Data Protection had been destroyed, and she was once again completely vulnerable to the wrath of the Eight Phases.
3. I like my ?dragon chaos? deck. It?s crazy fun, but I have a bit of trouble getting some (yeah, more like most) of my monsters out. Here they are. Just so no-one yells at me for some reason or another, YES, there are several things in this story based off the Demon Diary series of Manga. I know that. So PLEASE don't yell at me for plagiarism or whatever. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Helix walked into Kia's bedroom, only to find that she was still asleep. He crept up silently beside her and gently nudged her, trying to wake her up. As her eyes opened slowly, he spoke softly to her: "It is time for your studies, your highness."Even as Helix spoke these words, he cringed at the thought. Studies with Kia were another way of saying 'disaster'. Her mind was ever wandering, her thoughts elsewhere. Kia slowly rose up out of her bed, rubbing the exhaustion from her eyes. "...? Oh! I'm sorry, sir, I must've dozed off..."Kia managed to sort of mutter, still trying to stay awake. 'figures,' Helix thought, as he helped Kia up out of her bed. "Please try to refrain from calling me 'sir', your highness,"Helix said slowly. "It is most...unfitting,"he added after a moment. Helix was quite unaccustomed to this sort of behavior; here he stood, a lowly demon, in front of a new Demon Lord who seemed, at least for the moment, completely different from the Lords he had seen before...kind, even. The most highly respected Demon Lord supervisor in the world, Helix had never had to actually train one of his lords and masters before."And I must ask you to never apologize to anyone again. Ever." "I'm sorry. Why shouldn't I?"Kia asked. She was totally new to this whole 'Demon Lord' thing. Ever since she had been told that this beautiful castle was hers, she had somehow gotten the idea that it was a terribly important job, but she still wasn't sure at all what the job was. 'This does not bode well,' Helix thought. "Because,"he explained,"it is inappropriate for one so important as yourself to be so polite to inferiors. And to a Demon Lord, everyone is inferior. Do you understand now, your highness?" "Yes, I think so,"Kia replied."Um, Helix? How do I get to the library again?"she asked, glancing around at the castle which seemed to go on forever in each direction. She knew Helix couldn't have told her any less than four times already, but, once again, she had forgotten. Helix growled."For the last time,"he shouted,"you have but to envision the location you wish to go to in your mind, firmly state it's name, and say 'now', and you will be immediately taken there!"Helix immediately regretted shouting at her; any decent Demon Lord would have killed him on the spot for so much as raising his voice to them. "Okay, okay, sorry!"Kia apologized, shrinking away from Helix. Kia had always been scared when people screamed, and old habits, they say, die hard. Quickly, she closed her eyes and recited the location of the study, and said 'now'. Suddenly, she blinked out of space, vanishing to the library. Helix smirked."This is going to be a very...trying service."Then he too was gone. When Helix opened his eyes, he was slightly surprised to find Kia there, staring in wonder at the endless shelves of books lined up all around them. 'Well, at least she teleports without difficulty,' he thought. Kia turned around and, seeing him standing there, actually leapt up 'at attention'. "I beg of you, you highness...stop being so polite. It is difficult to maintain one's respect for another who humbles themself in front of their own subordinates,"Helix groaned. Kia seemed somewhat taken aback by the thought; she had never ever considered being impolite to anyone. Before she got a chance to apologize, Helix cut in again."Let's just begin the studies, your highness."He began to search the expansive shelves in front of him for the necessary books for the studies. "Today's lesson,"he noted,"concerns the basics of elemental magic. After you have completed the study, we shall go to the courtyard to practice magic configuration. Does this schedule suit you, your highness?" "Um...sure, Helix, whatever you say..."Kia drifted off, not quite following what he was talking about. She sat down at one of the tables lined up in the section they were in just as Helix finally pulled two dusty, old-looking books from the shelf he had been going through. He set them down gently on the table and slid them across to the side Kia was sitting on. She opened the book carefully, as it seemed too much strain would tear it apart. She then began to read from it's tanned, but well-kept pages. This is what it said... Concerning Elemental Magic According to the ancient ones, one's ability to cast magic depends entirely upon his or her attributes. Every being, upon being born, encounters an elemental influence. Upon this encounter, the element manifests itself, to become the person's attribute. There are five possible attributes: Fire, the power of strength and courage. One with Fire attributes may cast Fire magic. Fire magic can be used in several different ways, such as to create light or heat. Fire magic can be used as a weapon, but one must be aware of the sometimes explosive side-effects. Water, the power of healing and serenity. One with Water attributes may cast Water magic. Water magic tends towards the healing side with spells that heal, prevent injury, or purify. Water magic has few attacking spells, but there are some potent ones. Wind, the power of agility and sagacity. One with Wind attributes can cast Wind magic. Wind magic specializes in the alteration of time (speeding or hindering the movement of others). There are also several powerful offensive spells involving cyclone-type effects. Light, the power of life and kindness. One with Light attributes may cast Holy magic. The most potent healing spells in existance are cast using Holy magic. One may even revive others who have recently passed away. For the amazing healing abilities of Holy magic, there are very few attack-worthy Holy spells known. Darkness, the power of destruction and malice. One with Dark attributes may cast Black magic. Dark magic comes in many forms, every one of which are used to harm others. Poisons, voodoos, pain, and death spells can be found in Black magic. Black magic can't heal directly, though there are a few drain spells, and one spell to raise the dead (although the dead will be 'zombified', and unable to think or be healed). Unfortunately, if one is not associated with a particular element, that individual cannot use magic from that attribute. Exceptional beings MAY be able to conjure a non-characteristic spell if they exert themselves, but the end result wouldn't be worth the effort. Magic is cast using Mezreaz. Mezreaz is the standard measurement of magical energy. To collect mezreaz, one simply draws the energy into one's body. The average magic-caster draws in about fifty mezreaz worth of energy each day. Beginning magic-casters need only about ten mezreaz worth. Once mezreaz is gathered, it stays inside the magic-caster until used. -Ω "Wow, that's fascinating, Helix! I wonder what attribute I have..."Kia said. There was a long silence. After this there was another long silence. Veins started to appear on Helix's forehead. An extremely aggravated look crossed his face. 'Uh oh,' Kia thought, 'I must've said something wrong again...' Helix somehow managed to maintain his composure and explained to her, with great patience,"Your highness, you are a Dark-attributed person. Also, the gods chose to gift you with the responsibility of being a Demon-lord. As such, I am your humble servant. I've taken an oath to always do your bidding."With that, he bowed down to the floor and looked up at her. "Um...Helix, you can stop bowing now,"Kia said after a while. Helix got up off the floor."I am at your service, your highness,"he said with another, slightly less full bow, more of a nod than an actual bow. "You should have some time to gather the mezreaz we'll be using for practice today. I am going to go to the front gate, in case some smartass knight tries to break in while you gather your mezreaz,"Helix said with a smile, as though this idea brought him some satisfaction. Kia thought this was fair; it would give her a chance to change out of her nightgown, in any case. "Okay, have fun, Helix!"she shouted after him as he left, waving and smiling. She teleported up to her chambers and rummaged around in the huge closet in it. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Well, that's gonna be the first post if and when this story gets going. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Aqua Capital Mac Anu ~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Mac Anu was totally deserted...it scared Kia. The entire city was like some sick, twisted ghost town. Even higher-level players came to the city often, if only to admire the beautiful scenery. Wondering what could possibly be happening, Kia began to walk towards the bridge. Perhaps...perhaps something was going on in the real world: something terribly important. But what? Kia couldn't quite be sure. Maybe something of biblical proportions is happening. An armageddon? Kia burst into maniacal laughter at the thought. How that part of her wanted to die! She shut herself back up, containing her alternate personality, the part of her that screamed for the end to come, to die and end the pain of living while everything she cared for withered away...no, Kia told herself. She still had a duty to those still clinging to hope. Suddenly, some random character smashed the base of her neck with the hilt of his sword. She swooned for a moment, dazed by the impact, blinded by the assault on her spine. Unable to see, she still heard a little boy screaming off in the distance, running. "Nooo! Why'd you have to die?! Dad! Nooooo!"The insane screaming ranted on. Still blind from the blow that had clearly been inspired by hopeless rage, Kia chased after the boy, his mindless screams guiding her. Gradually, her vision was restored to her, and she chased him with even more determination. She cornered him in the main plaza, and pinned him up against the wall. "What?! What happened? What's going on out there?!"Kia screamed at him. He went through the details with painful accuracy. All the life support systems, he said, had gone out in the hospitals. Oh, no, she thought...Kayla! OOC-Sorry! out of time!

Innis was gone. Kia couldn't possibly be happier: the stupid thing had nearly killed her. In fact, she was pretty sure that if Kayla hadn't rescued her, she'd have been lost for sure. Kia decided somehow, in some way, she'd have to repay her some day. It would have to be something grand; a life saved is impossible to repay. Maybe after this whole mess was over, she would have time to figure out something really great, something big that she could do to pay tribute to Kayla. As she was thinking of this, a disturbing thought strayed into her mind... Magus. Thoughts of her former five-person-war on the 8 Phases flew into her head. Her best friend...what had her name been?...Kiara...yes, that had been it. Kiara had fallen into a coma at the hands of the Cursed Wave. More importantly, she had been sent into a coma by Magus. Just the name of the thing sent Kia into a white-hot fury against the Wave, the World, and everything in it. She remembered that she had killed Magus personally, after Kite had drained it. Oh, the satisfaction of completing her revenge...but afterwards, there had been nothing...just a sort of terrible empty feeling, the kind that eats one up from the inside. That feeling had never truly gone away, and Kia hated it. Now, Magus was back, and she'd be able to satisfy her lust for revenge again, and rid herself of the terrible empty feeling for a while. There had been two phrases in the Epitaph to describe Magus...Kia had to remember back a while to call it back to her mind. But she did soon remember, and she said it out loud, though she didn't realize it: ...And by the power of Magus, a drop from the Wave doth reach the heavens, and creates a new Wave. ...the Wave soaring high, when it's head is smashed, a new Wave shall replace it, to become Magus' power. "Huh?"the others asked, aside from Kayla; she already knew the mysterious poem. "It's a part of a grand poem,"Kia explained,"the Epitaph of Twilight. It describes each of the Phases, and the way the world shall end."Still wondering what to do next, she turned to Kayla, as if to ask what was happening.
7. Name: Frida Age: 17 Gender: Female Appearance: A tall, slender human with certain cat-like traits (i.e. cat ears, tail). Generally wears black clothes, including black jeans. Looks a lot like one of the Viera characters from Final Fantasy Tactics Advanced. Bio: Little is known about Frida Feldat, aside from the fact that she looks a lot like a cat-person and that she has one of the most explosive tempers you've ever seen. No one knows whether or not she even has parents; she just showed up one day in the town, seemingly out of nowhere. If she has a home to go to after dark, nobody's ever seen it. Since she got rejected from the high school in the city, she spends most of her time either in a fencing club she found or practicing with her real sword, the legendary Fey Blade.

Innis...yes, Kia definitely remembered this fight. She and the others had fought Innis mercilessly until it had cracked, defeated and shattered, under Kite's Data Drain. It had really pissed him off: Innis' mirages had deceived the group with shadow images of itself in the dungeon, just like the Epitaph said it would. No time now; Innis was back, apparently, along with each of the other Phases, and Kayla and the others were fighting it even now as she watched. As Komo and Sakura rushed past her, Kia simply stared at the giant monster that was Innis. She laughed suddenly: it reminded her of one of those huge 5000-piece puzzles she had used to build when she was still alive! Immediately, Innis snapped around, "staring" at her, if it's possible to stare with no eyes. Kia's hand snapped to her mouth, but too late...Innis had spotted her. It searched it's database for some memory of her and knew: knew that it had fought with her before and, more importantly, had lost. An eerie pause as it stared at her was only brokenby the mad hacking of the others as they waited for a protect break. Suddenly, it unleashed one of its "mirage" attacks on the entire party. Fifteen giant dragon-like creatures appeared in a circle around the party; one for each member of the group. On Innis' command, they converged on the members for a one-hit attack. As the mirage assigned to Kia flew towards her like some sort of ghastly Angel of Death, Kia closed her eyes...and began to breath to herself: "It's not real...it's just a mirage...it's not real..." Somehow, the last time she had fought Innis, the trick had worked, and the illusions had passed through her without harming her. She thought it would probably work again. However, Innis had seemed to have undergone some adaptive programming change, and when the mirage got near enough, it picked her up in its huge jaws and rended her clear across the pulsating blue rock of a field. She crashed into a pillar at the far edge of the field and, sliding down the pillar and leaving a reddish tint on the rock as she slid down, caught a brief glance of the rest of her party, fighting the abominable Phase. Out of the entire group, only Kayla saw what had happened to Kia. Then, after a moment that lasted an eternity had passed, Kia finally hit the ground, after having slid down half the length of the entire pillar. Kia tried to stay awake, but she knew she was lost to the fight. Slowly, the world faded as she closed her eyes... OOC: AHHH!!! I'm in trouble!

Kia had foolishly agreed to stay behind, but she was beginning to regret it. She may be of no use in battle, being at level one and all, not to mention the fact that she was comatose, and could therefore be killed with all of the side-effects (i.e. pain), but that didn’t mean she couldn’t aid the others. Her mind was made up: she would have to go with them. Making sure she had seven or so fairy orbs in stock, she headed off to the chaos gate. The others began to protest, but Kia was somewhat focused on the task at hand, and didn’t hear them. Approaching the whirling blue portal, she muttered the keywords: Λ-Plenteous-Forbidden-Fallen Angel, and disappeared into the yellow rings of magic… ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~Λ-Plenteous-Forbidden-Fallen Angel~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ As Kia warped in to the distorted field, she remembered that it was supposed to be cold, for the field had once been a normal ‘snow’ field…now, it was a shredded field, and the code was mutilated to the point where it was nearly impossible to even feel the bitter weather. Kia held up a fairy’s orb which glinted briefly in the light, then disappeared in a flash of light. Once Kia’s eyes recovered from the blinding flash, she could see the magic portals on the field as though there was nothing in between them and her. Now, without fear of accidentally stumbling into a monster-a fatal mistake in such a high level area-she proceeded to the dungeon. Walking into the dungeon, she began reciting what she would say to Kayla once she managed to get down to Innis. After all, Kia reasoned, she was blatantly disobeying Kayla’s orders to stay with Helba and the others, but Kia knew that she could be of some help without actually calling Innis’ wrath upon her. Kayla and her group had done their job extremely well: there wasn’t a single portal on the way to the lower floors, though there were still several portals leading off to dead-end rooms in the other directions. "Kayla and the others must've been in a real hurry…"Kia laughed as she walked deeper into the dungeon,"They didn’t even take out the optional portals!” Kia began to recite the mysterious phrase describing Innis from the Epitaph of Twilight... Mirage of deceit, Innis, betrayed all with the flawed image, and did aid the Wave... and also: The confusing mirage, Innis, deceived the eyes of all who tried to view it. Oh, boy…Kia’s in trouble. I guess I color code too much, too...
10. Name: Kia Mitsaki Age: 1296 (but let's just say 17, okay?) Personality: Kia is what one would call ?evil?. The stereotypical Goth, she always finds a really good way to start trouble. One thing she?s never been good at is making an apology, and she?s never had a ?pleasant? conversation with anyone for a couple hundred years. Bio: Kia, age (approx.) 1296, was born into an immortal family. She shortly thereafter ran away from home after killing her parents with the Kaibori Sword, a fabled weapon able to destroy immortals. Generally detesting any form of gun since they were invented, she instead prefers getting ?messy? with the Kaibori Sword, which she kept ever since she found it. (She usually works as an assassin-for-hire.) Kia has spent several life-sentences in prison, but she?s never stayed there permanently, because people got tired of waiting for her to die. For the past fifty years or so, she?s kept pretty low-key, and the Kaibori Sword has been collecting dust over the past few years. Recently, her anger at being immortal has been re-kindled. She has fits, gets even more upset at the world than usual, and breaks things a lot. She also dropped out of school recently, because if she?d gone to school this year, it would?ve been her hundredth time going through high-school. That gets depressing very quickly, and she?s already depressed enough as it is at the moment.

12. On a side note, no, this is NOT based on anime, videogames, OR the movie Underworld. I just made this one up. Out there, among the chaos of the normal world where time is so precious to normal people, there are but four known immortals on Earth, for whom time doesn't exist. The four are brothers and sisters: Sato and Kia Mitsaki, and Kai and Kyo Totunadi. In an ancient prophecy, it is proclaimed that if therse four individuals should meet, and should they fail to learn to live with each-other, the consequences would be almost unimaginable for all those on the Earth. Then on one fateful day, Sato and Kyo met each other briefly on the streets of Tokyo. Luckily, neither of them could even begin to guess that the other was an immortal, and the World, unaware of the dire situation, never heard of the event. It was apparent, though, that these two 'families' were relocating themselves perilously close to each-other, though they were not aware of it. Indeed, they became next-door neighbors without even realizing it. What will become of these two families? Come with me as we shape our fate... "And he could rewrite monster data, right?" "Jeeze, Kia...do you like, know him or something?" Kia's eyes darkened as she forced herself to remember back to her adventure back to the days she was still new to "the World". "Yes, I know him...he helped me and my friends when...when I...never mind that. The point is he was there. But he can't still be playing, right? That was...a really long time ago!" "Well, I guess he must really like the game."Kayla offered."Come on, I'll introduce you to the new group." Together, Kia and Kayla walked out of the beautiful cathedral, warping into the busy city of Aqua Capital Mac Anu. OOC-Sorry I can't post much right now...I'm on a time limit...

PSO? That game's pretty cool. I have Dreamcast. PSO could've been made about 1000000 times better if Sega hadn't discontinued online play, but it's still a pretty decent experience. I've got a level 47 HUnewhirl, and I think she could kick all y'all suckas' @$$s! Any challengers?! Dude, you need to stay on subject. This is a *QUIZ*! Not a recomendation thread. (Not that I pretend to be a moderator or anything...) Anyways, heres one that I think might get some of you: What is the name of the main character in Star Ocean III: till the end of time?

Jeeze! Enough with the stupid questions! The answer can either be: 1)Lady Yunalesca -----or----- 2)Spectral Keeper ---BUT, since you said it came in three forms, the answer would have to be: 1)Lady Yunalesca Yeah, so anyways, who here can name the first character you are permitted to lose to in Kingdom Hearts without having to start over? Kia hadn?t really been in touch with the others for a while. She had mainly been wandering the ever-busy streets of Mac-Anu. It occurred to her that she had been very stupid to join them; she was terrified of fighting, and for her, there was no ?reset? button. Nevertheless, she had agreed to help them, although fighting was to be expected. What was worse was that she had never even leveled-up before she had?she still couldn?t face that truth yet?even though it was by now obvious even to her that she didn?t exist anymore. How long had it been? No less than a few year, now? Still, she couldn?t help but feel happy. For the first time in these long years, she finally had a purpose. And yet she hadn?t even contacted any of the others for what seemed like ages. She made up her mind: she would have to contact Kayla and ask what had been happening lately. She composed a quick message to her (which is very hard to do with no keyboard)? To: Kayla From: Kia Subject:Long Time no See? OOC-Oh boy. My character's background interferes with the story...I'll try to sort it out. Skeith. Kia indeed remembered him well. Back when her friend had been in a coma, Kia had fought the eight phases with her friends, dying in the process. Skeith had been but the first to come, "bearing death's shadow", as the poem had gone. "What's bothering you, Kia?"asked Kayla as they walked through the dank, musty cavern. "It's just...I remember. Back then, me and my friends fought through him and the other seven to free my comatose friend..." "Kia, I want you to tell me everything that happened. Now,"Kayla suddenly said. If Kia was telling the truth, there just might be a way to free the comatose players. Kia explained how long ago, she and her friends Kite, Yuki, and Kayla (who by coincidence shared names with the Kayla she was talking to) had battled through the eight phases, ending the apocalypse as they finally defeated the last one. She also told them that it would've been absolutely impossible to beat them if it hadn't been for Kite's Data Drain powers. "Still, if we beat them so long ago, how could Skeith be here now?"she asked, knowing that no-one was likely to answer."Maybe it's the coming of the next Wave?"she continued. "Well, we'll never know unless we move on,"Kayla said, somewhat worried at what she'd just heard. So, as they ended the issue for the moment, they trudged onward into the darkness of the labyrinthine cavern, not a monster in sight. OOC-DDG, if there are any problems here, please notify me.

Kia was dropping in and out of death, owing to the now serious lack of blood she had. As the battle above her ended with a splash, she weakly reached into the air, and drew a small cross-shaped figure form her inventory. With the last of her strength, she muttered to the cross:"Phal Repth..." These words activated the wonderous healing powers of the Divine Cross that Kia had traded away most of her possetions in "the World" for earlier, before she had met her new friends. The item "Devine Cross" glimmered for a moment, and then suddenly shot out a a wave of light so intense that it almost burned out everyone's moniter. As they were all bathed in the holy aura of the cross, all of their hit points were restored, and the massive gash running down Kia's arm healed itself as if it had never been there. After a few moments, the light winked out as the cross dissolved away into nothing. Kia staggered up onto the bridge, thanking the lord almighty that she was alive. The rest of the party was relatively unaffected by the cross, because the evil men hadn't been able to so much as lay a finger on them. Kayla helped Kia up onto her feet, seeing that she was having a little trouble walking on her own. "Woah, Kia. Where'd you get that item?"asked Kayla. "A player traded it to me. Her name was...Heavy, I think. She had a bad connection,"Kia replied."Anyways, where were we going again?" "We were headed for Delta-Hidden-Expansive-Sea of Sand,"Kayla answered. "Oh, yeah,"Kia trailed off as the group finally reached the Chaos Gate, uttering the keywords. Protected=You can not warp to this area. "Huh?"everyone but Kite wondered. "This is no problem. Leave it to me,"Kite laughed. His fist was glowing again. Kia realized that this must mean he was hacking. As a strange, pixelly bracelet-shaped thing formed around Kite's wrist, he opened his palm in the direction of the Chaos Gate. "Delta-Hidden-Expansive-Sea of Sand!"He shouted. The translucent blue interior of the portal shattered like glass, and then, eveyone in the group was flying through the data-encoded world, able to see the very codes that bound "the World" together. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ -----==="the World", Delta-Hidden-Expansive-Sea of Sand===----- ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ As "the World" pieced itself together around them, they immediatly saw something strange. There were holes in the field, holes that you could look into and still see the data codes of "the World". Un-deterred by this obvious sign of ill news, the group wandered towards the dungeon. OOC-At this point, we won't actually fight any of the phases. Just to ensure acuracy of the story.

Kia vaguely remembered hearing a saying once, that went something like "Life ain't fair. Get used to it." She had mostly ignored the saying until one day, when she had lost her only friend, Kiara, and had died and become trapped in "the World" while rescuing her. Laughing pathetically at this switch in positons between them, Kia was just beginning to understand the meaning of the word "irony", and realizing exactly how much she hated it. "Well, I have my life, at least. Well...sort of."Kia murmured to herself. After all, a player characters never aged, so as long as she didn't do anything stupid, she had a very long (if admittedly boring) life to look forward to, so that part wasn't so bad. Already, it had been so long! Her friend Kiara had stopped playing "the World" around thirty-two years ago...Since then, Kia had never had a good talk with anyone. Period. For the most part, Kia would just go out on the dream-like boat rides that Mac-Anu was so capable of providing to her. Most of the time, she just sat on a box, in what had once been referred to as "Kia's alley" by a group of people who had helped her free her friend. This was now jut known as "the alley behind the magic shop". Far off, by the chaos gate, two players began to move towards this alley to hold a meeting with their friends. Their names were Kayla and Sakura. OOC-HAH! I beat you guys to the alley! Well, I guess it wasn't very fair, because I started out there.

OOC-Oops, I've been spelling 'Alley" wrong this whole time...Hehehehehe... IC-After discussing the situation at length (everyone keeping their mouths shut about Kia's death), the group decided to head for Delta-Hidden-Expansive-Sea of Sand. As they headed towards the chaos gate, they got jumped by the group of men that had paid for taunting Kia earlier. One of the men had a knife handle protruding from a slightly unbecoming spot. Seeing this, Kia blushed slightly and tried to hide her other knife behind her back. Unfortunately, it was a bit late for that: the men had spotted her. Shoving Kia down to the bridge floor, the man she had wounded tore her blade out from himself. Unsheathing his sword and placing it's tip on the outside of her shoulder, the man spoke acidly to her: "You think that was funny, back there?"He growled,"Well I'll have you know that your little attack did damage. And I exact revenge on people who hurt this player,"He continued, beginning to pierce her flesh, and drawing the blade down her arm,"Point...for...point..."he concluded with an evil smirk. And as his blade reached her hand, only then did he notice a pool of red, seeping out from her arm. As Kia herself saw this, her eyes grew wide with horror, and she let out a blood-curdling scream that blew out everyone's sound system after about a half a second. Gasping now with the loss of blood, Kia could only turn her head off to one side, whispering desperately to her friends,"Please...please hel-help m-me..." OOC-A not so minor minor sideshow. I shall survive...

OOC-Wow I had to go back to page 1 to find the main story...that's scary... Kayla and Kana walked up to the chair that Kia was sitting on. She seemed slightly shaken by something. "Hey, what's up, Kia?"asked Kayla. "Oh, I've just been thinking about a few things..."Kia replied. "Well, I have to go to dinner...I'll be back in a little while!"said Kayla. "My parents are calling me, too. Bye!"agreed Kara. Kia suddenly remembered that they had been invited to a dungeon by Kite, and that they were supposed to meet him in "Kia's ally", but the group had been interrupted several times, and had'nt been able to get there. "Hey, wait, we're supposed to g-"Kia began, but the others had already logged out. Sighing, Kia got off the bench, and gated out back to town. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ -----====="the World", Aqua Capital Mac Anu=====----- ------------------------------------------------------------------------ As Kia warped back into the root town, she realized that being locked in, for whatever reason, might not be such a bad thing. Now, she could not only see the beautiful river, but she could smell it, touch it, and life, for a moment at least, was good. "Stop lying to yourself,"she scolded herself. "you know that you want to get out of here." She walked up the bridge, and some guys glanced at her and began laughing. One of them walked over to her, and wit hhis massive hand he pushed her down to the ground, laughing. "Hey, stop that!"Kia shouted, wincing at the pain. "What're you gonna do? Cry about it?"the man jested, laughing at his wit. Kia was finally tired of being mocked. Completely forgetting a term called 'Player Kill', she got up and stomped over to the man. Looking up at him (for he was nearly twice as tall), she said,"Do you have a problem with crying?!" "Oh, so you can do more than just pout, eh?"the man jeered, fueling Kia's rage. "Don't you EVER make fun of me again!"Kia shrieked, and as she said that, she rammed one of her daggers into the player where it hurts men most. Be the time he or his friends realized what had just happened, Kia was already at the dead end of her ally, panting for her breath. Kite was there, and in the hall they waited for Kayla and Kana, discussing their next destination: Delta-Hidden-Expansive-Sea of Sand.
25. Aren't there polls for this kind of thing? ...Anyways, I'd probably have to say I like Inuyasha best, but only for one reason: "Sit boy!" Of course, this is probably ancient history in the series by now, but I haven't caught the show for a while...
