When I first watched it last Saturday, I was psyched to the max about it. Just seeing the previews sent shivers up my spine. After I watched it, I was amazed at the fact that this show has nothng to do with 'special powers' or mechas or anything of that sort, yet it caught my eye instantly and I fell in love with it. I promise you that this show will be a major hit here, especially with the violence (BLOOD!), cursing (Mugen: "Kiss my a**."), and the sheer animation. The sword fight was the best I've seen, besting with those in the new Star Wars movies and probably in the upcoming 'Revenge of The Sith'. If anymore of these battle scenes are as good or greater, holy hell! >>Matt

Hercule is not a pointless character. He is just there for comic relief. While we're on the subject of Dragonball Z, another useless character is Chaoutzu. The trio ran down corridor after corridor, following the small dragon. Each step brought them closer and closer to Lea, and unknowing to them, even closer to an even greater danger. 'I can feel Lea.' Matthew thought. 'But...why do I feel something different about her?...I better ignore it and just finish what we came to do.' The trio came to sudden halt at a set of large double doors. They shone in the light, brimming in silver, outlined with sapphire and having golden handles. The doors slowly swung open, and as it did, Matthew and Kayin jumped back, drawing their weapons as Rei placed her hands in front of her, ready to attack. Lea stood in the middle of the large, ice covered room, her back to the door. "Lea!" Kayin yelled. Rei and Kayin started to run to her, Matthew giving a fast jog after them. He began to look around, noticing all the ice around the room. "Ummm...Kayin, Rei....something is definitly not right here!"

The legend of the Dragon Balls...they say that if all seven are gathered, the ancient eternal dragon, Shenron, can be summoned and grant the user one wish. It could be almost anything that you wanted, within the dragongs seemingly unlimitless power... There once was a boy by the name of Goku, whom after teaming up with a young teeage girl named Bulma Briefs, went out in search of the Dragon Balls. They traveled all over the world, defending the defenseless and gathering the seven mystical orbs as well. In the end, Goku had not only successfully found all seven balls, he also had saved the planet from the evil clutches of the Red Ribbon Army. Over the many years of Goku's life, the Dragon Balls were used for good and sometimes evil, and were a symbol of ultimate power. Goku had saved the Earth with the help of the Dragon Balls on many occassions, and even done so without their help at one point. But what of the journeys of the people before Goku? What of their trials, secrets, challenges and dreams? This is their story...... ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ A young boy, seemingly of 17, stepped off of a giant rock and stared on ahead. Matthew reached into his shirt and pulled out a small heart shaped locket, which had an image of a blonde haired girl in it. 'Peggy...I'm gonna get you back sis...I'll bring you back...' The deal is, this RP is about the people that searched out the Dragon Balls before Goku's time. The time setting is 10 years before Goku and Bulma's search. The Dragon Radar has not been made, but their are devices that can point out the vicinity of a ball. -Sign Up- Name: Make it anything you want, as long as it's pronouncable. Age: At least 14, no more than 50. Gender: Male or Female. Appearence: Pic will do and so will a typed description. Short Bio: Make it at least 2 years back from the age of the character. I've never seen many of the anime's you've people mentioned except Akira. Now, THAT one was rather gory. But the only anime that I know of that is really violent would be Dragonball Z. I know, it isn't was gory as some of these other shows, but their is a good 4-20 fights in one saga. And most last for quite a few episodes. It may not be as gory or as bloody, despite the fact that their IS a lot of blood, it is a rather violent show. (In my personal opinion) >>Matt

Bra from DBGT. Whoopty freakin' doo. She appears in a few episodes ( I think about 4 or so?) and then POOF, she is gone. Bra is the only one who was not with the character group during the SS4 Goku/SS4 Vegeta VS Omega Shenron right. I thought being the daughter of Vegeta would make her a character that they would show more often, but I guess I was wrong. And she plays no part what-so-ever in the series. >>Matt

I know very little Japanese songs, but my favorite has to be "READY STEADY GO" by L'Arc~en~Ciel. I have the Japanese lyrics, but I want to know the English lyrics. Another one is "One Winged Angel". Even though it is in Latin, the song has a sort of dark side to it and it just hypnotizes me. 1) Dragonball Z This was the first anime I seen. I first watched it when Vegeta was fighting Recoome. Instantly I became a fan due to the great artwork and the shear fighting (in the beginning sagas). It amazed me what they could do in a cartoon. And as soon as I learned more about Vegeta, he instantly became my favorite. 2) Fullmetal Alchemist This would have been in #1, but it has to come in second. I love the humor (DON'T CALL ME SHORT) and the family dynamics between Ed and Al. It mixes scifi, humor, horror, and action all in one. Mix in a 11 year old boys soul in armor with an older (yet shorter) brother with an arm and leg of metal and you got one kick arse anime! 3) Zatch Bell Even though I have only seen the first 2 episodes, I can tell this anime is going to be a fan fave of a lot of people. I like the animation and the humor, but the only let down is the storyline: Young, friendless kid becomes a hero through some strange person he hates, but befriends as the series goes on. Other than that, it is a fun show. 4) Spirited Away (Movie) I hope I can nominate movies...I can't remember the entire thing, but when I first watched it, I instantly fell in love with it. The animation is great, the storyline is pretty good, and I like the comedy parts in it. The scifi part of it also caught my attention as well. 5) Inuyasha This anime is funny. The first few episodes were kinda sluggish and overcrowded with getting a lot of the info in to understand the history behind Inuyasha and Kikyo, but afterwards, it got better. I like the humor, action, and the continuous sexual actions towards Sango and Kagome from Miroku...poor, poor Miroku... I ran across theOtaku.com a few years ago while searching up Dragonball Z fan art. Well, I continuously went back to the site, looking up other fanart as well. I then knoticed that I could sign up for a myOtaku account, and hence, I did. I started out using a characters name (Kantron), but I deleted that account and made the one I am using, and probably will use ALWAYS, Matt Prower (link below). I really liked the fact that I could meet knew people and even post my own artwork, which I so wanted to do. So, I started to update my site with my daily life and when I got to a scanner and Adobe Photoshop, I posted my artwork. myOtaku.com is a pretty good part of my everyday life. I love the fact that there are people that can ACTUALLY relate to me other than my mother. And I have met many people that I have talked to a lot and I consider them my friends.
