1. That so reminds me of this
  2.
Nah, I'm still around.
D'aww you're not creepy Gavin :)
That was a cool thread though, not really because of the creepy guy, but all of you guys reacting to him with helpful information. That one showed why this forum is different.
Oh trust me, every time I read his posts I had to erase "Cool story, bro." for something insightful.
  3. We aim to please :)
  4. Danger Will Robinson! I wholeheartedly agree with you CaNz. As much as a casual fling would soothe your "EFF Yeah, I'm a man." ego, it's really not worth it if there's no emotional connection between you two. Also, that Creepy guy probably creeped off somewhere to make another thread in another forum about another Korean TV drama.
  5. Speaking of Podcasts! We have the latest episode of the OB podcast! Otakuboards Podcast #9: Apply directly to da fo'head We have two very special guests this week: Ace and Sangome! We talk about a short bit of things, as the recording cut short and we decided it would be better to just put out the podcast to you guys instead of keeping you waiting on things to go right...lol. Anyways, enjoy and submit your material for next week's cast.
  6.
Ted Bundy was a serial killer, Korey. You want to put Homer against Al Bundy. I'm going with Ted Bundy because HE WOULD HAVE EATEN HOMER. Wow, I rarely post on OB, but made it into Chibi's Christmas poem and the Curtis Got Slapped By a Teacher commentary. I kind feel awesome.
D'oh.....no one corrected me :(
  7. Whatcha need is a few guy friends that you usually hang out with. Single ones, mind you. And just tell them. "I'm going to do "insert activity here" on Saturday. You should tag along with me. I need someone like you there." Totally non-needy and it's a low committment sort of thing.
  8. Can I just skip the whole "Who is it/Why are they nifty thing? James- He's nifty because he always has the members of OB in mind and always does his best to contribute to the site on a more personal level. Whether that'd be posting in threads or contributing new features (and helping the podcast!), James is always there for us. We are blessed to have a Director like James. Boozorz- My partner in crime is an editing mastermind and also one of the nicest, funniest and friendliest members on the board. He's also got an awesome dutch accent ;) Chibi Master- My favorite Gremlin. She's always eager to help anyone, and is a "happy person" :P. I enjoy her holiday threads/ segments. I declare whatever day the Nifty Fifty releases to be Chibi Master day! The Lounge- I moved to this section and I love the large variety in the topics. While I don't participate in all of them, it's nice to see where people's interests lie. Shinmaru- Shin has inspired me to check out new anime with his weekly anime segments that he does for the podcast. ( I really liked the Shogi one, dude.) and is too school for cool. Shin has a cool voice and doesn't afraid of anything. CaNz- Whether it'd be having the most profile views for some reason, or misspelling the word "future" , CaNz finds some way to be one of the leading members of the forum. We all pick on him, but it's only because we are obligated to. Or maybe it's because he's family. I dunno. Sangome- BECAUSEOMGSHEFREAKSOUTCONSTANTLY. Ace- My OB Broksi. His Hanz von Hozel Fan Fiction Theatre is simply wonderful and has affected my vernacular with phrases such as "make a lazy/ an active." The OB community- You guys are awesome. The site has waned in traffic over the years, but we have dedicated users who have shown their dedication to their forum. Every time I hear the intros for the Podcast, or I get to speak with another member via Skype, it feels like I've known them forever. Kei- Our News anchor is so in touch with all things Journalism and has an awesome delivery when it comes to delivering the news. Kei's also a very......persuasive person when it comes to negotiation. I'll be on the lookout if I meet her and she has a bag with her.... Our soon to be MINI-Indi- While it was a bit /late for me, Indi and Nathan are welcoming a little one into the world. Certainly not the first OB Baby, but still nifty nonetheless . Sabrina getting married- Indi's roommate and fellow Otaku Sabrina also took a life step and decided to hook on the wedding shackles. CONGRATULATIONS :) Lyndy- Our pretty pretty pretty pretty pretty one! Lyndy always gives us content to discuss on the Podcast and is the nicest and friendliest porn bot I know.
  9.
Sorry about slacking off this week, guys. I promise to make an active next week and get another Hans von Hozel Fanfiction Theater recorded. .
No worries, sir! Just make sure to have the segment be doubly as awesome ;)
"Or let us know you are sending us a clip of your breathing heavily into your mic for 15 seconds." Did someone actually do that? Oo If so, I already have an idea of who it was.
No no, purely a joke. Only person who sent something in was Mr. Schmexyvoice.
  10. Howdy folks! We talk about child abuse and wild demands, resolutions and video games, among other things! 1. Kei

      Kei

Hey, you wanted this gig. Besides, at least you're editing something funny. You could be working with someone reading all the digits of pi. :V

    2. Shinmaru

      Shinmaru

Thanks for being understanding about the anime review.

    3. Boo

      Boo

Oh. Cool, you want to keep the job? :O

  12. I'm already over it. Won't happen again. So yeah, if you guys have anything you'd like to submit as far as the podcast goes, now'd be the time.
  13.
All i get are error messages when i try to play any of the podcasts... I wanted to hear the song
Since Boo and I have a free account at Podbean, once we exceed our bandwith, the podcasts don't play until the bandwith refreshes the next month HOWEVER! We do have a Soundcloud account that we use to publish our podcasts in the case that podbean says nay. 14. As an english major, I really think the key is communication. You could easily argue that the written word (typed or otherwise) exists solely for the form of communication when face to face speech is not available. E-Mail was the precursor to Instant Messaging. Remember how cool it was to message someone without having to send a letter to them? It made things more convenient because it was semi-instant. Now, with the popularity and ease of chat clients and texting, people can interact with each other without even having to worry about delay or anything like that. It's the ease of communication that makes things like e-mail or writing letters kind of useless unless you don't possess the means to. Personally, I still write letters to my girlfriend. Not because a Facebook message wouldn't be simpler, but as a sentimental thing. You can keep a letter that someone wrote to you for years. It's a physical item that carries symbolic weight. While a Facebook message can do the same thing arguably, but the fact that it's not a tangible item makes it carry less weight. The words might, but the object itself is simply words on a screen.
  15. Oh Indi, let the girls fantasize. Shin loves the attention.
  16.
......................WHAT DID I JUST WATCH? No one has the right to complain about 4kids dubs anymore. No, everyone's lost the right to complain about them. Just...I...wow. XD
I miss the old old days where shows like Macross and Gundam had some really BAD original dubs. Kids these days are spoiled.
  17.
It was fabulous either way! Agreed! You wrote the song so therefore YOU ARE THE AMAZE!!! Thank you~! But you're not getting that anti-cling powder. 'Cause you questioned Santa Boo. Boo has the perfect Santa voice, yes? I NEED THAT SONG FOR MY GENERAL LISTENING PLEASURE. Never mind what I said last podcast. THIS is my favorite one so far. Beautiful work, everybody!
Done annnnnd Done! Christmas Cake download
  18. Let's get him on Jeopardy. I'm sure Trebek would love that. ALSO! Boo will be gone all next week, so it's up to me to get the new year's podcast out. So any reviews, segments or questions should all be directed towards my inbox. I'm looking for someone to temporarily fill Boo's shoes and we're always looking for guest hosts.
  19. Just wanted to thank you guys for all your support with the podcast. This production couldn't move on without you guys. We hope to bring you bigger and badder( bad is good) things from our Podcast. You guys rock <3
  20. Howdy folks! Just stoppin by to let you know that if you want to be a part of our very special Christmas edition of the Podcast, you're in luck! Boo and I are looking for co-hosts / submissions for the podcast. You know the drill, PM myself or Boo and we'll work out a time that works for the both of us! Thank you
  21.
*tl;dr argument* Your own world view, this idea that he who has the mightiest arsenal stands atop the world, untouchable, is straight up delusional. When you say that people fear our might, you're right, but just as many people hate us for it as well. When unstable countries like Pakistan and North Korea have bombs, how long til you think someone uses theirs?
Hmmmm....
I'm sure terrorist organizations and other dissidents are perfectly aware of the capabilities of our countries' military. As would be any other first world countries with Nuclear Arms. The threat of retaliation didn't mean anything at Pearl Harbor, and that was before nuclear weapons. So what changed besides a better bomb?
Now in that short little paragraph, I'd like to see where you get this idea that I'm under the assumption that "he who holds the biggest stick wins." Without going into too much detail, I'd like to explain that when I wrote this I meant "aware" in the definition that the terrorists/enemies acknowledge our capabilities as a nation and our allies capabilities. I never made one claim towards superiority or "RAH RAH USA, WE NUMBAH 1." I'm not going to start a flame war, but if you're going to insult someone and then press on them your own world view, you might want to make sure that you have a basis to diss them with.
  22. Just caught a Seaking. F*** yeah.

  23.
I meant that the repercussions of violent actions towards America should be feared. Economics completely aside. Terrorist organizations and/or future enemies are less likely to attack our country if they know we "could" practically level the entire planet with a flip of a switch.(key word "could" not "will")
Didn't stop Al-Qaeda, m'boy I'm sure terrorist organizations and other dissidents are perfectly aware of the capabilities of our countries' military. As would be any other first world countries with Nuclear Arms. The threat of retaliation didn't mean anything at Pearl Harbor, and that was before nuclear weapons. So what changed besides a better bomb?
