2.
It's not someone he barely even knows, though. According to him, they're friends. I don't know how close of a friendship they have, but admitting romantic feelings could possibly ruin a friendship of any kind.
Right and what I was intending was mainly to CaNz, not to myrekim. Of course the relationship dynamic is different when you actually know the person. As for your little hanging out thing, don't treat it as a "date" sort of thing, because then you will have expectations and when they are/aren't fullfilled you may find yourself a little underwhelmed. Just enjoy her company and if you want to see if she wants to hang out again, mention somethings you may be doing with friends later on in the week/month/next few months. But here's the important part. Don't invite her right away. Move onto another topic and leave her wondering why she wasn't instantly invited. Then, as the conversation starts to wind down, you can say "OH HEY! You should totally join us, we need a person like you to add to our group." If she asks what "a person like her" means, then just say "Someone interesting" with a smile.

I used be part of the board way way back in the day, but can't seem to remember anything that would allow me back into the site, so i decided to create a whole new screen name and such. I am now 22 and living in FL and originally a Washington State resident. I am in the Navy, and I am hoping to explore a whole bunches of places while I am here.
Heya, glad to have you back! Hope to see you around more. Also, for Selene: Throw me a frickin' bone here!

 6.
if i dont tease my little sister once and a while, im not doing my job right, but i didnt mean to make you mad . im pretty sure he knew not to do that one (if not all this was a lost cause) the girls are right in a lot of ways, but i disagree with the looks thing. you do see girls with worse looking men, but you see far more ugly men without girls. find an attractive guy and he always has a girlfriend (this is a generalization, and you may even know of exceptions, but more than likely this is the case) this is just to get the girl though, and it has no effect on keeping her. thats gotta be you. I dont care what the girls here say to you, if a girl is not attracted to you, you dont have a shot, besides... its good for you.
Bzzt. Wrong. Looks have little to nothing to do with attraction. Obviously you wouldn't date a troll, but the thing that women look for in a man is acceptance. Someone who can accept them wholly for who they are and can provide them with the things that they want or need. Depending on the woman these things may vary, but there are a few universal things (protection, providing for a family, emotional support, or even simply procreation). I read an interesting book about sexual selection called "The Red Queen." and it detailed the specific factors that humans have towards sexual preference in a partner. And looks was one of the lowest deciding factor on the list. Sure, you may think that Halle Berry is hot (I know I do), but that doesn't mean that they fit the criterion that you are actually looking for in a life-partner or even a girlfriend. Looks are really skin-deep. That's why, when selecting a partner, humans try to test each other to get the other person to reveal aspects about themselves in order to see if they fit aforementioned criterion. I'll use myself as an example. I'm no Brad Pitt, but I believe I have a good personality and display certain alpha-male characteristics (dominant, confident, strong mentally and emotionally) that would set me apart from all the other men in a crowd. The aspect that most people lack in approaching women or anyone in that matter is getting beyond the first initial hurdle of the fear of rejection. You have to realize that it's never personal. Ever. How can you dislike someone you barely even know? Through my experince people will only turn you away if it seems like you're needy and you want something from them (which you do, but I try not to appear that way). So, why not just approach them?

 12. There are several factors that apply towards attracting the girl towards you, but the most important thing is to stand out from the potentially millions of other suitors that approach her on a daily basis. What makes you so special? This can mean many things, such as working out, getting a new fashion style and just embodying a fun and outgoing lifestyle. Ever notice that when you get a new haircut that isn't the norm for you or how if you buy a piece of jewlery or something, that people tend to notice? That's the key principle of standing out. You want to be "That guy" for her, so do things that make her want to be more than just friends with you. Protection is a very loving thing that comes with people who know each other for a long time, but it can also be a dangerous road because you can fall into the "friend zone" and end up seeming more like a big brother than a lover. Also, if you just confess your feelings and say "Look, I like you a lot.", then there's no need to flirt. You can skip the flirting stage if you know the person really well, because you've already made that emotional connection with them. Now you just need to demonstrate why you're better than everyone else. Be the alpha-male.
Dude, all of us in Ohio are fuming cause we just lost our possible win ticket, he took our possible bread!
One LeBron does not a team make. And I've got more of these things.
 14. Lol at all the people in Cleveland going hysterical over LeBron leaving. I understand it's been a while since Cleveland has won a title....but if LeBron couldn't do it with the stuff they gave him, then it's time to move on. You can't blame the man for wanting to win. Although I really don't think that three superstars a team doth makes. It works for the Celtics because they have a good chemistry and seasoned veterans that are capable of facilitating each other. KG's having a bad game? Ok, we still have Rondo, Pierce, Ray Allen and Rasheed Wallace. Who do you have when LeBron is having a bad game? :3 Also, I'm officially addicted to SNSD Girls Generation
 15.
Yep, suppose to be announced tonight. As a LeBron fan, I don't really care what he do I just hope the guy can get a championship in the process. Hopefully he won't let his ego get in the way of anything though. Its when people start thinking too highly of themselves that gets to me. But I suppose I can feel your pain though since Ohio really don't have much of anything... If it makes you feel any better us Detroiters suck just as badly lol.
It's interesting to see where Lebron is gonna go, because to be honest I don't think him and Chris Bosh and Dwayne Wade can all jell on a team and share the limelight enough. LeBron averages 30 points a game, Dwayne Wade under that, and Bosh averages about 20 or so points a game. And that's when they were playing on their respective teams. If anyone, LeBron himself is going to have to take a step back and share the ball, which he is more than capable of doing. This is assuming he goes to the Heat of course. But, I don't think loyalty has anything to do with what LeBron got into the league to do: WIN CHAMPIONSHIPS. He doesn't want to be the Basketball version of Dan Marino. LeBron already has two League MVPs and 4-5 seasons of making the playoffs. I think he should at least have a ring by now. But he's been beat by teams that have really deep benches (Celtics, Magic) and has a harder route to the NBA finals than people in the West. Who honestly is a title contender in the West besides the Lakers?
 16.
Heh. What's wrong with being a little devious at times? "coughs" But if you must know I stepped down because at the time I was relocating for school (complete waste of time and money) and didn't know when, or if I'd be able to get back online, or get to a computer for that matter. As for now, I don't think they need my help.
It'd be nice to have ya back though, my man

 18. Just a friendly reminder to everyone that all discussions in this thread, while having no particular topic, should be kept within the rules of OB. I will start handing down infractions if people can't get along. EDIT: Also, since I'm on the moderation topic, let's have a fair discussion on what should and should not be allowed under the PRP. As far as I'm concerned, most things should slide, but vulgar subjects (including rape, sex, drugs or any other illicit activity) should be kept out. I'm up for joking, but I also have to think of the entire audience spectrum that OB covers. So from now on, keep it PG-13 kids. If someone asks you to stop, please do. If it gets to me, I won't be so nice.

No need to get snippy, guys and gals
 23. Your use of text language ruins the good name of the best language in the world! AMERICAN! Over here in the not as cool nation of Germany, we just did a low key celebration at our house. Grilled some steaks and enjoyed the humidity (hahahaha, right :/) . The day before we went to Hiedelberg and saw an enormous castle, but that's about all we got to see because it was 95 degrees out with 70% humidity. Plus there was a football match on in a few hours. Had to be home to watch the Germans take the Argentineans to school.
 24. You could have always used the default "Your Mom!". That usually is a good counter to "Your face."
 25. I like you. We should be friends and junk.
