1. I'm assuming you want the weeaboo colloquial defention too? From what I can ascertain, it means practically the same thing as "pwn". Used as a verb or something. Although I'm pretty sure if there came along the Rick Astley brand of steamrollers, we'd actually get "Rick Rollers." :animesmil
  2.
My inner old school nun wants to whack your knuckles with a ruler for typing like that. In fact she wants to do that whenever she sees that type of grammar and spelling
Old scholl nun from Berlin? I don't know if the fuhrer is accepting applications for the grammar nazi army at the moment. Check back in a couple days .;)
  3. Elder Scrolls IV anyone? (made in euro)
  4. Well, I wouldn't limit my scope to RPGs on the XBOX, seeing as those are pretty scarce on that system. But Blue Dragon is a wonderful RPG that is very reminiscent to Dragon Warrior in terms of gameplay and is about 80 hours in length. Other good games for the 360 include the Call of Duty series, Street Fighter IV, Halo (shudder), and even some downloadable games. I don't know if your 360 is internet capable, but if it is, download Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix, Geometry Wars, and Lumines Live. I'm sure you'll enjoy all of those titles.
  5.
Yay, it looks like Tatsunoko vs. Capcom is coming to the states. Now that I really think about it, it seems there are a lot of new promising fighters coming out very soon. One, which I?m really looking forward to, is Blazblue, after seeing more footage of it. Another game I?m kind of looking forward to is Beyond Good and Evil 2. I haven?t played the first one, but I?m familiar with. It seems like a cult-hit kind of game I?ve been enjoying lately. Overall, this new game looks exciting.
There's all sorts of footage for Blazblue on youtube and nicovideo. Matches, combo vids and even a few tutorials. Don't miss out on them before BB drops. This year seems to be the year of the fighter. While!KOF12 looks promising, I'm more looking forward to Marvel vs Capcom 2 online, which I plan on documenting on youtube, and Blazblue . Although I have SFIV and the new Guilty Gear to hold me down.
  6. The fact that Geocities went down, is going down can be attributed to a few things, imo. The rise of social networking sites- This in itself has shown the different "taste" that the current generation has acquired in regards to sharing content. Myspace, Facebook, and Blogspot all are free services that are fully customizable and relatively user-friendly. Why bother with pesky netcode if all you have to do is copypasta it for free? Also, sharing photos and information became as easy as saving money by switching to Geico. Big sites raking in the traffic- theOtaku is agood example. Why would you bother going to a random user's site to get the latest hearsay when theO brings you official news from reliable sources?

  8.
How about not relying on small circular collections of pixels like a thirteen year old and actually using your words to refute everything in my post you found inflammatory, incorrect, or depressing.
Easy there, sailor. While it seems kind of weird to have photos of interrogations , stranger things have happened. Things that involve female soldiers with cigarettes in their mouths pointing to nude Iraqi prisoners. Unless the images are portraying something truly offensive or unlawful by Geneva code standards, then I see no need for the US to get their noses in it. Unless it's Obama trying to spread a positive image for the country . Bush=The Decider Obama = The PR guy?
  9. I'm the opposite when it comes to milk for breakfast. I can't have anything except whole milk, because otherwise it feels like I'm drinking white water. Skim milk makes me gag. Although 2% chocolate milk is good if you shake it up well enough. As far as my breakfast habits go, I normally just munch on a bowl of cereal. I like Frosted Flakes and Frosted Wheaties the best. Frosted Shredded wheat is pretty good as well. I also enjoy eating mandarin Oranges for breakfast, and normally I have my daily dose of caffeine in the form of a Soda that I pack along for the day's trip. Although with Breakfast I do enjoy having Sunny Delight. Yum.
  10.
2. Remember, if your boobies jiggle suddenly, then it's the ghost. If your nuts jiggle, then stop playing with them.
:animesigh Blah, sometimes jokes just fall flat.
New rule: Always have your swim trunks and your flippy floppies.
Who should I take? 11. Setting up an XBox Live account (Silver) is free and as far as paying for things goes, I've always paid with Microsoft points. It's not too hard to purchase them either. Hell you can always buy them directly from Bill Gates himself, lol. I'm not against playing fighting games online. I loved playing Guilty Gear X2 #R online for XBox Live, although it got pretty laggy. The thing I have against MvC2 is the thug-tastic community it has. No lie, people have been stabbed and beat up for trash talking or even simply winning at this game. The crowd is just horrible and as much as I love this game, I don't want to be a part of that scene.
  12. To be perfectly honest, I wouldn't pick this up for XBL. The only game to have decent netcode with XBL that was a fighting game was Virtua Fighter 5. With Marvel's twitch reactions and execution heavy combos (read: Magneto's Rom infinite combo) any sort of lag will royally eff you up. Also, you get those rank hunters that will pull the plug the minute it looks like they're going to lose. That's what I've been getting with Street Fighter IV. As far as I know, the prices don't go up for this kind of stuff. If anything, they might go down. But as far as even FINDING a copy of MVC2, good luck to you. I found one and it was for the XBox and it was 60 bucks for a game that is over 5 years old. Now, I don't want to sound like I'm bashing MVC2, because I really love the game. I just don't see the point in going online to deal with laggy netcode, trash talkers, or plug pullers. But don't let my skepticism sway your opinion ;)

  14. Hahaha, I don't know why I laughed so hard over someone else's misfortune. It's good to hear that Wal-Mart wasn't so stuck up about not getting the people their money back. Whenever I go to Wal-Mart for a refund, all I get is "Are you sure you wouldn't like to get a replacement." Yes, Wal-Mart, I'm sure. I hear that the police have a sketch of the culprit though.... 15. Alright.....
Is it morally ethical to call someone who does something stupid "retarded?" No, but we do it anyways.

My moral standards only go so far. A mentally disturbed person who avoids treatment and shuts down any sort of help, I would call them cowardly
There. Maybe I should use the enter key more often when transitioning so I don't get taken out of context. Two separate thoughts. Wasn't trying to relate them. I personally don't call people who do stupid things retarded. Idiotic, moronic, stupid, yes. But never retarded. People my age seem to like to use retarded as the adjective of choice when dealing with people that have done less than intelligent activities. But I would say it's just as wrong to call a person who does stupid things retarded, if not more so. But people do it anyways and it's not frowned upon nearly as much, at least I don't think so.
  16.
That is one of the most disheartening things I have ever read.
Especially when you take it out of context. I meant that statement in the context that I have no remorse for people who have the chance/opportunity to treat their mental disorders and they don't get the treatment they need due to their own volition.
  17.
Interestingly, most depressed people commit suicide while recovering, not when they're at rock bottom.
I disagree with this. When someone hits rock bottom, it's the pinnacle of their depressed state. When they feel that there is nothing left for them and nothing can be done to assist in curing or treating their depression. I've known people that have killed themselves in both the recovery stage and when they hit rock bottom. So to say that even most people kill themselves in the recovery stage is a gross exaggeration.
But that's besides the point. My post was questioning if it's morally ethical to apply terms like "cowardice" to someone who has a mood disorder. Which I find similar to using "stupidity" to describe mentally disabled people.
Mood disorders are capable of being treated, but if the person who has a mood disorder (and consequently is capable of rational thought) does not wish to be treated and opts to take the road of suicide, then yes I think it is a cowardly move. It's easy to kill yourself and not have to face the hardships and the truth, but the mentally strong and "brave" will endure it. Cowards will succumb to the pressure. Mood disorder or not.
Is it morally ethical to call a mentally disturbed person cowardly? Would you call a mentally retarded person "stupid"?
Is it morally ethical to call someone who does something stupid "retarded?" No, but we do it anyways. My moral standards only go so far. A mentally disturbed person who avoids treatment and shuts down any sort of help, I would call them cowardly. I think as far as mental retardation goes, it is a serious medical condition that is very real. But Forrest Gump summed it up nicely. "Stupid is as stupid does."

  19. Cannibalism to fulfill a person's personal wish to die is a far cry from taking someone off of life support or killing them via lethal injection when they have a terminal illness. You can't compare the two so easily because they share some sort of vague, far-fetched similarity.

    Avi - Dvd

That's rather odd, because my camera records in AVI format....all I ever do is save for web and it's ready to go. I know that iMovie and FinalCut are good for saving things in AVI format, but that's only if you compress them after saving the file. The initial project is saved in a .mov format and you need format your save for the .avi format. Been a minute since I've messed with that stuff though, heh.
  21. So yeah, did everyone die?
  22. Let's try to avoid listing tracks from games, since that doesn't generate any sort of discussion. Maybe if you could elaborate on why you like those tracks, Hyperninja.
