I have some snazzy images of my own ^_~
2. Hey I'm always down for helping you guys out too. I have Skype and can record the calls pretty flawlessly into mp3 format. The interviews might take a while though, because of the 18 min capacity the thing records calls at. But I'm sure it's easy as pie to put those together :D If you guys are interested, my Skype name is Korey_Kore and I'll be glad to add you on. Let's get this rolling!
3. I'm actually gonna pick this up later on today. Gears of War was a blast to play and I loved every single blood-drenched second of it. While it isn't something I would play normally, the sheer brutality of the game made it enjoyable for me because I was tired of the gaming scene at the time providing a good gruesome game for us to be enraptured with it. Can't wait for GoW2.
4. .... What the bloody hell?
5. Wow guys, I'm going to ask everyone to stop aggravating this and helping add to the problem. If you don't agree with the title and you don't agree with Kaimaster, then that's perfectly fine, but this has gone way out of control. Alla already asked everyone to stop and we keep aggravating the problem. Let's keep our opinions civilly expressed and not feed into the problem. Obama won, fair and square. If Armageddon ensues, then it's egg on our faces.
6. Isn't it like a Cardinal Rule of drinking NOT to add milk with anything or to chase it down with anything? I've heard of people chasing down Vodka with Orange juice and other things (chocolate syrup). Maybe if you do a little something something like putting orange soda with vodka, it'd taste a little better for you. Then again, I'm not an alcoholic, nor do I drink casually.
7.
Porn Stars are good and really tasty - .
HAHAHAHAHA:laugh: Ok seriously, I can't help with drinks, because I'm not an alky sort of guy. I do have champagne on occasion (New Years), but I don't like the taste either. Beers smell nasty...why the hell would I want to drink one? I guess if you do a lot of fruity stuff with your drinks or something, it might help. My friend always drinks Bacardi's and Smirnoff's that are flavored...and she says it tastes like Kool-Aid.
8. Username:Korey Age:19 Location:El Paso, Texas How long have I been here?:4 years, almost 5 So for my addition to the time capsule I'm going to leave my old username Sesshomarufan. It's a nice reminder that people with "[insertanimecharacternamehere] fan/boy/girl/lover/wife" usernames can still hang with the rest of the posting populace and sound intelligent, regardless of username. It's also a good reminder of me during my younger days here on OB, when I didn't use any sort of proper grammar or punctuation (funny how that turned about, eh?) I also leave behind my lootz....you will be missed.
9. I'm pretty sure that it'd be no big deal to get a chatbox, I'll pass the word onto James to see. That'd be pretty neat though.
10. Silpheed and Matt, please keep this discussion civil. While you both have different views on the game and it is certainly fine to have your own opinions, let's refrain from telling each other our logic is flawed and we all have to agree with some consensus. Some people just don't like the game. The consensus is just that, an aggregate of similar opinions. I did play a little bit of Fallout 3 and while it's not my type of game, I did enjoy it for what it was. Will I buy the game? Probably not, because many newer games are on the horizon (Gears 2, Street Fighter IV...etc), however this game is worth a look and holds up to what I expected it to. It is definitely a few bounds ahead of other games within this genre.
11.
Essentially, Fallout 3 fails as an RPG. It barely succeeds as a shooter. It's a horrible game, and the only reason it has so much acclaim is because it is overly hyped, and Beth. has bribed the media to give it such acclaim.
That's a stretch. Why don't you just say "I don't like the game" ? Bethesda took the Fallout series and did their own thing with it and if it doesn't please you, then that's certainly your right to not buy the game. But you are telling us not to buy it for reasons I would obviously overlook. The game graphically is fantastic, the controls are spot-on, the game play features are interesting enough to keep me playing the game. You are basing your naysaying on your own displeasure of the game and subjective opinion without giving any sort of objective review towards the game. Concering FF7, tell that to Sqauresoft's big, fat pockets. I personally loved the game and would hardly call it overrated compared to some of the other RPGs that have been pumped out in the last decade or so. The game practically made people rethink how people did RPGs. Without FF7, there would be no Oblivion, no Blue Dragon, no Kingdom Hearts, no Xenosaga, no Star Ocean, no Dragon Quest 8...you get the point.
12.
...ultimately it's up to the parents to instill values within their child.
I stand by what I said. If the kid is talking back and being disrespectful, then it's still the parent's job to step in and try to deal with it. You as a sibling are hardly responsible for mandating and policing after them, and furthermore, if the child isn't listening to the parents, there is hardly any reason for them to listen to you as a sibling.
13. First things first, clear out ALL your internet stuff (cookies, sites, temp files) and see what that lands you. If you are running Vista or anything that has virus protection, make sure that you do a thorough check of your computer with it. You may have a trojan that redirects you and opens protocols that make no sense to your computer, thus why you get 403s and 405s. Also, get off campus internet, because it will mess you up with the sheer traffic of it. I'm assuming you run a wired connection, but if it's wireless, run to a wired one stat. The wireless connections are insecure and anyone could plop some nice Trojan packets in your lap
14. I see my sarcasm got lost over the internet again. Something about the wavelength, I sent it out in.... I dunno. I don't mean to debate over something and sorry if you think I was taking you at face value. Now adressing your point, I would say that if the sibling in question is disrespecting the parents and other family members, it would be up to their parents to discipline the child and teach them a degree of respect. The elder siblings can help, yes, but ultimately it's up to the parents to instill values within their child.
15. See Crimson Knight (lol), a good elder sibling doesn't beat up their siblings if they are disrespectful and curse them out. It makes you seem less intelligent than them if you're going to resort to violence and most often ends up with you in trouble because the younger sibling wanted you to retaliate on them so they could turn on the sob story angle and run to the parents for emotional support. So what you do is mess with them psychologically.
16. I'm glad I chose to keep my ages of people that would be in my family actually within some bounds of realism.
No way!!!! That' completely wrong!!!!!!! I, being an older sister of two children know alot. We don't tell you how gross you are(although that is one of our pasttimes), we do alot of things, like being overprotective and beating you up when our parents aren't home.really, it's an easy job, especially when we instill fear into you at an early age. That's when you have no problems for the years to come!
YA WAY!!! Sisters, I gotz one. She doesn't beat on my little brother, and for the most part she's a lovely individual who would only fudge to tell you the aforementioned traits I described previously. Overprotective and beating you up? Seems like a contradiction, there.
17.
Also, I was arguing in the specific incidents of rape. As far as general emotional state goes, I am very well aware that the instances that spawned the conditions for an abortion are much more likely to be the cause of the emotional state than the abortion itself.
Speaking from a personal point of view, someone very near and dear to my heart was conceived because of a raping that occurred to her mother over 2 decades ago. Regardless of the emotional state of the abortion, it's ultimately the mother's decision whether or not to abort the baby. Accidental conceptions such as not wearing a condom or just not wanting the baby because of any reason other than rape, I don't really jive with, but if it's rape then yeah, if you don't want the baby, your call. But I think it's been decided in some court case somewhere about abortion and stuff like that.... I may just be pulling this outta thin air, I dunno. :p The case in question Now as far as the abortion itself, I don't really agree with the emotional state of the abortion being more taxing than the situation the baby was conceived in. I can't speak for women, but I do think there is a maternal instinct in almost every woman and the loss of a child, illegitimate or otherwise, would bring emotional distress upon them. It's kinda silly to say "Oh the rape was more psychologically damaging than the abortion" when.... A) You're not a woman B) You've never experienced that sort of thing first-hand. Neither can I, but I'm not arguing one is more psychologically damaging than the other one because I can't peer into someone's brain. It's all subjective to the woman's experiences and how they dealt with those events in their lives. In the case of my dear friend, her mother chose to bear her and give her a fighting chance. Would I have ever known the psychological and emotional stresses her mother went through? Probably not, but I'm sure my friend is thankful for being given the chance to live.
18. It looks like your worries may come true Beth, as Obama was ahead in the most recent poll I saw. While I do find that people will tell you all sorts of stuff to influence your decision on voting for Obama (his name, his race, his college roomates, where he grew up...etc) it's ultimately up to you. I'm not a fan of McCain or his policies. He has almost unamiously supported any War on Terror Legislation or stance George W. Bush. Stay the Course isn't in my agenda. Now onto the assassination attempt. If this actually does happen and Obama is assassinated, I would probably find it to be the most idiotic and socially backtracking thing this nation has done in forever. "Americans aren't ready for a Black President". Erm, what? The mayor of DC was a black man (I believe he's still there at present). Obama served on the Senate, which has far greater power than the President does at this point. Why aren't we saying "Obama is dedicated to domestic change, which we badly need right now in our own country" ? But it seems we'd rather not vote for someone based on the merit of the character, but the color of their skin.
19.
I make decent coffee, too! :D Sleep I can't give you, I barely get enough myself as it is.
Wonder why that is, El Procrastinator? In my experience, sisters are only good for few things. Telling you how gross you are and that you lack any sort of fashion sense. Seeing as I'm the eldest in my family, I've never had the pleasure of having an older sister. So I am completely oblivious to this. How does one be an elder sister?:animestun
I OBJECT!
TAKE THAT!
20. Why hello thar. We need to get you a sick Avatar that represents you and your cultural tastes. Welcome to the site (again)
21. I have no one, I am an oprhan :'( If I had to make an OB family...it'd consist of.... Mother: Beth. Just because she's old enough to be my mom (and is, quite incidentally) and she would be a motherly figure to me. Father: I'd probably be a bastard child. My dad was around, but always deployed because of the Army. I'm used to having no dad, so I wouldn't need one. Brothers: (Older) Allamorph- Because he is older than me and wiser in many aspects. Plus he keeps me in check a lot of the times when I'm fuming, so I would consider him my older brother. (Younger) Ace. He's got that younger bro quality to him. Cool guy, just sometimes tries a little too hard. But as the older brother you still have a lot of respect for your siblings. Sisters: (older) Indi. Probably the only girl that I'm actually afraid of sometimes on the boards. Sabrina. She'd be the nice sister. Although I'd get the feeling I'd pull few too many pranks to keep her nice for too long. (Younger) Sangome. She's hyper enough to be my little sister. Don't need to go into any more detail. Lovers: If we actually had to go with people that aren't truly our lovers it'd probably consist of these three. Stephanie- Personal reasons, but yeah. Raiha- The crazy GF, but also the one that has something underneath that few people care to see or even take the time to look at. Kei- The GF that plays video games and talks smack right next to you. That'd be a fun relationship for sure.
22.
HAHA!!! I only know one person on here and lucky for me he is my boyfriend!!!! :catgirl: And that person is Korey, so I would probably do Korey and lucky for me I will be able to do him sooner or later!!! >:D Take that!!!! Back off him because he is mine though I am glad he is an icon here on the OB hehehe didn't know I had someone so famous!! He better be worth it!!! :animeswea:
Icon? Famous? Well if I am so famous, where the hell is my star treatment and lavish things? I demand a multicolored username pronto.:p
And don't worry Iruka dear. I only rape the willing. So tech- NEVERMIND.
Quite the nice oxymoron you created there.
O_O Who are you? Do I know you? Korey has not mentioned you to me...
You never asked? There's a reason why people are #1 on my top friends list on MySpace, y'know.... Now I get the feeling that certain females are going to be asking me questions over the internet....:animesigh
23. I used to like wrestling games, but I just can't get into them anymore. Maybe it's the fact that I outgrew professional wrestling, or that I actually did real wrestling when I was in highschool...who knows? However, I did take a peek at TNA impact when my friend bought it the other day at Gamestop. Graphics: Not bad for the system we bought it for (PS3). Every looked like it should have, with no weird textures or anything on the wrestlers. However they do need to work on the crowd. That part was lacking. Gameplay: I felt kinda restricted controlling my wrestler, and the movements had a caveman quality to them. Just felt really rough to me. The controls were responsive, but they just had a weird feel to them. The control scheme is simple enough, and didn't take long to learn how to do everything. Presentation: I've watched TNA Impact maybe twice in my lifetime and from what I've seen, it recreates the Arena part of it quite well. The only thing that I'd say it was lacking is other venues to fight in, which SvR does boast. It does offer the basic modes it should with a few interesting mini-games, but nothing really ground-breaking. Overall it was a good attempt at a wrestling game and just needs to be polished up to compete with SvR. But neither of those titles can really compare with Wrestlemania, the Arcade game.
24. I kept away as long as possible, but I do admittedly have a teensy tiny list of bangable members. However! I do have the one date rule in effect. I like to see [strike]how the enemy moves[/strike] how we would react around each other before I take it to that step. Now my list...miniscule as it is. Stephanie- When you've known someone for that long, the thought kinda creeps up in your mind. Raiha- Yup, indeedy yo. If the situation ever arose, I would probably have to try and fight off Raiha's feminine wiles, to no avail I'm afraid. Kei- She's just cool yo. You'd have to talk to her more often to see her awesome manifest itself. But you're all out of luck though. ^_^
