1. I am sorry to say that I've had a similar experience as you are having currently. Once upon a time I had a girlfriend who I loved dearly and was very understanding of me and my schedule. As our relationship continued, however, she stopped being so understanding because she wanted me to take initiative on everything. It got to the point where I was calling all the time and I was always picking her up from her house, because she always had some excuse as to why not (no gas money, car was broken down....etc) From then on, I decided to ease back and see what she would do. I tested her in the form of not calling her for a week. Just to see if she would call me and wonder why I didn't call her. Alas, I didn't receive any call. So I decided in the long run, it would be better for me to not continue in that relationship because too many things were being asked of me and I wasn't getting any mutual payback. I wasn't being met halfway, in simpler terms. As to your situation, I can't exactly ascertain any concrete solution to give you, because every situation is unique. I don't know how you and your girlfriend interact around each other. However, I can say that if she is just not returning your phone calls or not calling when she said she would, and it's a chronic problem, you would probably be better served letting her go. It seems to me that you need someone in your life that is a little more involved in the relationship. That's what I did for myself and it turned out ok in the end. Few heartbreaks and speed bumps along the way, but I'm a better person for doing that.

 4.
That's totally cool. It's just a shame this wasn't clear at the beginning. Several people not only disagreed, but outright dismissed vegeta rocker's entire point as being irrelevant or "whiny". Disagreement is fine, but the way vegeta rocker's point of view was rudely brushed aside by several people is far from fine. The point of view and rhetoric has subsequently changed and cooled down and has been portrayed as though it was always like this when it wasn't. So I think that's what I took issue with. However, ironically, I actually agree with most people in this thread as far as China playing host. I know I've said that a lot, but I think it's important because we also really have to be respectful of those who still see this as an issue.
And I apologize if I dismissed his point of view in a manner that seemed rude. I don't intend to do that to any of the fine members here. I didn't really take issue with his statement, but I do feel that it is kinda trivial in my own mind to say that the games shouldn't be hosted in China when the thing is, this stuff is selected by committee. If a consensus was reached, not too much we can do about it. I do feel that having the games in China might have aroused some things that China has to hide, but when you're under the world's scope, of course your nation's problems are gonna be unearthed. China does have a LOT of issues to work out, especially on the human rights side of things. I blame that on a weird economic system that counteracts itself with communist/socialist policies in every city save for Hong Kong. If the country could just decide, I'm sure there would be less issues.

 6. Hmm, I wouldn't say that's necessarily a bad thing. I'm sure there is a game or two that you know a little bit about, not everything and anything. I can beat Resident Evil 4 in my sleep now, because I've played through the game enough times to know where everything is and have all the cool special treasures to get max pstas (abbreviation). Then again, I do have the infinite Rocket Launcher and the Chicago Typewriter. My brother likes to put Ashley in the suit of armor so he can leave her out in the open and have the ganados come after her while he plugs them at his leisure. Yes, dastardly gaming runs in the family. ;) I can play Tekken 5 in my sleep, because the computer is just downright idiotic sometimes. I'll throw a move from max distance the computer will still run right into it. Then again, I can beat the CPU pretty handily in any fighter because I exploit the AI. Force it to react a certain way and punish the CPU for not having multiple ways of handling situations. Seriously, if I hang just oustide of jump range and EVERY cpu opponent is gonna try a jump in, it makes for some very boring matches.

 9. *Ignores the politicial talk about China* As much as we'd all like China to "show all their skeletons" and expose all their cruel horrors that exist in their country, I don't care about that so much as watching the games for what they are. Greece had its share of problems (poverty), Sydney I'm not so sure about. Every place has their share of problems and as Americans, of course we're gonna scrutinize them for their problems. It's just how it goes. As far as the games go, I've been satisfied how it's gone so far. Michael Phelps is just blazing through the competition and making it look so easy. Will he break Spitz's record? Most likely. He's by far the most impressive athlete I've seen in the games so far. The US Men's Basketball team is doing well for themselves and if they can keep their egos in check, they might win. The group looks impressive so far, but I think nothing can compare to the 1996 Dream Team. Jordan, Pippen, Barkley, Robinson, Olajuwon, Stockton....need I say more? I'm looking forward to the track and field section of the Olympics. Especially sir Breaux Greer. Olympic Javelin throwing have never seemed so interesting to me before. Call it a man crush. Ah and did anyone see Blake upset Federer? I think after the Olympics, the pro circuit of Tennis is gonna be much more interesting. With Federer losing to Nadal and then here, I wouldn't be surprised to see the men coming after Federer more agressively to take his spot.

 11.
Plenty to see and do in Austin, Houston, and Dallas too. Could head down to the coast around Corpus Christi or Port Aransas, maybe even Padre if you want to drive a long way, haha. Pretty good selection of parks like Enchanted Rock and Big Bend. Plenty of party places throughout all the cities I mentioned above but ESPECIALLY Austin - there are so many bars and live music venues in Austin it is unfathomable.
Ken, I'm saddened by the fact you did not mention anything about us here in West Texas, especially El Paso. Seeing as we're pretty much the only major city in West Texas, we're kinda hard to pass up. Shame on you, you are a disgrace to Texans across Texas... :p I've been all around the state as well and I love my state tremendously. There is plenty to do in Texas, and most cities have enough to do to keep you occupied for quite a while. Here in El Paso, we are rich in Mexican heritage and customs...seeing as we're right on the border. We also have a giant National park right in our Mountain range, so we have lots of hiking oppourtunities. El Pasoans love to party and we celebrate in style. Pinatas, mass amounts of drinking, dancing, mass amounts of drinking, tons of food...all equate to an awesome party. We are also home to some of the best restaurants in the nation when it comes to Mexican food. Our food comes second to none, because it feels like a home-cooked meal.
 12. "SP" Simply refers to Special Color. Shadow characters are characters you fight in survival mode. All black pallettes. EX Characters are the same character, but slightly altered move sets. Gold characters are extremely hyped up versions of the character are ridicuously broken. For example, Gold Johnny's Mist Finer kills with one landed shot. While Dizzy doesn't have an Instant Kill, she makes up with it with her ranged assault, which you can use to chip away boss I-No's health. Once you learn some of her Bread and Butter combos, it'll be easy work dispatching boss I-No. I'm assuming you got just regular X2?
 13. I play mostly Baiken and a lot of her gameplay isn't so much defense as it is zoning your opponent out and trying to land a Tatomi Gaeshi (mat) to pitch em up in the air, from there you can him em with a one two three into aerial dust for a good little combo that does a good amount of damage. If you're really sneaky, you can try sweep to mat to aerial combo into aerial dust (FRC- false roman cancel) air dash back and one two aerial dust for huge damage. That is really hard to pull off if you're not too down into precise button motions like that, especially on the FRC (1 frame cancel, wtf?)
 14. Let's keep this discussion civil, gentlemen. I will throw out something for debate here. Microsoft and Sony are certainly guilty of putting out new things for their consoles that are gimmicks to get you to buy more things. Few examples would be the XBOX 360 Elite, which was basically a 360 with different colors and a bigger memory capacity. Unless you have a ton of games or Xbox Live arcade files stored in your hardrive, the Elite seems kinda pointless and is a waste of money. I also took sony's decision to have the HDD drive required to play Final Fantasy XI to be pretty gimmicky as well. The add-on wasn't the nicest thing in the world to install either, especially on my old fat PS2. Sony also is guilty of adding more consoles to the mix as well, such as the PSP V 2.0 and and the Slim Ps2. Sony and Microsoft both have special editions of their hardware availble for sale with certain games (the Halo 360, white PS2...etc etc) I believe that the shoddy controls aren't necessarily Nintendo's fault. To be perfectally honest, most games that were developed my Nintendo have used the Motion Controls flawlessly. It seems that the third party developers can't get a grasp around the motion control system (ex. Far Cry). As far as last gen presentation goes, I seriously doubt that as well. Metroid Prime 3 and Legend of Zelda looked fantastic and they weren't using the same power as games like Gears of War or BioShock had. It's all up to your art director how the game looks and using the hardware for what it is. I'll gladly play my "last gen looking" games if I have more fun with them. You can't even say other companies don't rehash games. There are many companies that have re-released their games onto the Sony systems (Sega, Namco, Capcom) time and time again. So Nintendo isn't the only guilty party. In fact, most reinventions of classic Nintendo games turn out great and re-invent the game they were based off of. Case in point would be New Super Mario Bros. Easily a must have for the DS.
And b: my aim sucks.
I find this statement highly ironic, seeing as you seem to have a gun fetish of sorts *feels laser sight on his chest*. Killer 7 wasn't all too hard of a game to get used to, and like most rail shooters, aiming is just a matter of practice. I dug the crazy storyline and the zany characters. Capcom definitely had a lot of guts in order to bring this title over to our shores.

 18.
The Dreamcast was pretty much a fighter?s fan dream come true with all the different fighting games it had. Marvel Vs Capcom 2 in particular was just magical to me with it?s huge cast of characters. The over-the-top supermoves and 3 on 3 tag teaming was simply an amazing experience.
I'll second that notion. The Dreamcast did have a lot of good fighting games. A few that come to mind are Soul Calibur,Capcom vs Snk , and of course MAHVELL BAYBEE (look it up). There's one gem that I think people forget when they think about fighting games on the Dreamcast. It was a little known game called Ready 2 Rumble Boxing. The game was an arcade styled Boxing game and the characters were about as over the top as the game. It was great for a few laughs and the game really defined the Dreamcast library to me.
 19. Being from Texas, you would think we have a lot of slang....and you're right. Mainly it's reserved for Eastern Texas and Northern Texans. There is a lot of "Y'all-ing" to be had there. I've heard Soda referred to as POP, but for the most part we use Coke as an all inclusive phrase to mean Soda. For instance.... "Hey Korey, you want a Coke?" "Sure." "What kind?" "Pepsi" Yeah, you don't know 'bout us Texans. ;) As for myself, I talk more like a Californian. I use the words "Bro" and "Cuz" (for cousin) to refer to people the time. I'm sure I probably abuse "Dude" a lot too. I dunno why, it's just what I do.

 22. The story mode for Guilty Gear is kind of overrated. It's very dry and only used to clear up why fighter A hates fighter B. It's not really that essential to the enjoyment of the game. The thing that Accent Core has over X2 though is that it is highly refined and more balaned than it's three predecessors (GGX2: Slash, GGX2:#R and GGX2). The developers took a lot of glitchy elements in the game and added a whole bunch of new features and moves. This game is probably the best entry in the series so far, in my opinion.
 23. Accent Core would be the easiest one to find. It's currently on the Wii and the Playstation 2. I have a port of GGXX#R (sharp reload, a revision of GGXX) on my PSP that is part of a bundle pack called Guilty Gear: Judgment.
 24. No I wouldn't say that Ace Combat is anything like Afterburner. I'm assuming you mean the original arcade game from Sega, and not the remake that they did. Ace Combat is more like flying an actual plane, where After Burner is more like other arcade plane shooters, just not top down camera style. Both games are very fun though. And the difference is as follows. X- Guilty Gear X. The game that came before X2. X2- AKA Guilty Gear XX. Sequel to GG:X, Accent Core- Newest revision of X2, with new features and gameplay balancing. Think of it like the revisions they did for Street Fighter 2 (Champion Editon, Hyper Fighting, Turbo...etc.)
 25. I don't get stress... so I'm good. Nah, I kid. I find lots of things help me when I'm stressed, especially from work related thigns. My favorite thing to do to relieve stress is to talk to other people about what is making me stressed. It helps me get of the feelings that I have and by the end of the night, I'm often very comfortable and back to my same old ways. If I don't feel like talking to someone, I often listen to music or play a video game. I don't really get gamer rage, but I do like to use violent video games like Street Fighter to help me destress. For me it's not the violence that helps me, but the amount of thinking that I do to play these games that helps me take my mind off of what is stressing me out. Ah yes and last but not least, drinking tea helps me relieve stress. Nothing like having some fresh brewed tea after a long day. It is very very relaxing. I would suggest you give it a try once and see if it works for you.
