1. I prefer Hand of Blood over Hearts Burst Into Fire, but BFMV is a good band. Those guys are huge people IRL though. Like super buff. Right now I'm listening to "Hitchin a Ride" by Green Day. Fun, little bumpy song. :D
2.
Really? That song makes me wanna stop listening to Avenged Sevenfold forever. To me that's easily their crappiest song to date. Anyway I have been listening to Eddie Vedder. This guy is ****ing amazing. Easily as good as Chris Cornell if not better. He has a lot of soul and sorrow in his voice but it's still really beautiful.
Hah, I can see why most people would hate that song. It's not really the A7X people are used to listening to, but I do find the song really good in terms of "Switiching it Up-ness". I do wonder why the Rev chose to do the drum lick he did before, during and after Syn's solo though....it kinda didn't fit what I'm used to hearing from him. It was a little Pop-ish. But, on another note, that would be a pretty good song to hear someone sing at a funeral (acoustically, of course). Right now I'm listening to Scream, Aim, Fire by Bullet for My Valentine and Wonderwall by Oasis. BFMV is a cool band (those dudes are effing huge in person, BTW) and Scream, Aim, Fire is an ok song...not my favorite by them. That'd go to Hand of Blood. Oasis was a great 90s band, and it's truly a shame that they broke up, because I wanted more from them.
3.
Oh god Korey, I can't argue with that logic about Chapter IV, I adore that song. It's in my top five list of best A7X songs. I got some Norma Jean today, they're alright, but nothing amazing.
Heh, if you think that they're good on album, go see them live and then you'll love them even more. They came to El Paso with Bullet for My Valentine and Atreyu. A7X stole the show, though. Those guys put on a frickin great show. And it's not too often that you get to sing "Seize the Day" and "Gunslinger" to your GF and she actually think it's romantic. Now Playing....Seize the Day by Avenged Sevenfold. Great song, and the video is so sad. I dig the part where Synester Gates plays the solo on top of M. Shadow's GF's/Wife's Coffin. That was especially creepy/sad. Makes me bawl just thinkin about it.....:animecry:
4. I dunno, I can't say that I would share my secrets with people I might not know, even anomously...because those secrets would tend to piss some people off or offend others with my behavior and even the stress of letting them out wouldn't help, because it's kinda channeled there for the wrong reasons. I would be much more comfortable sharing my secrets the way I do already, with close friends and family.
5. And a wonderful job Des did, indeed. Next year, pull out the cake song from Lazy Town. "It's a piece of cake to make a pretty cake, if the way is hazy...." Lol Now Playing....Chapter IV by Avenged Sevenfold . If you're religious, you'll get the title of the song, being it's from Genesis, Chapter 4...which would be the story of Cain and Abel. That'll make the song make a lil more sense for you, but either way, it's a great song. I'd venture to put it above other A7X stuff, and possibly higher than Bat Country or Beast and the Harlot.
6. Right now I'm listening to Caramell Dansen... Thanks OB Staff! :D U U Uau UAU!!
7. I have a few other bands that I would put above Crue, namely Bon Jovi and Van Halen. But that's not sneezing at Crue in the least bit. They were truly a band to be admired for their fast, fist pumping style. As far as A7X goes, I would definitely recommend listening to Chapter Four, if you have only listened to their albums that got commercial airplay (City of Evil and the self titled Album). It's one of their better songs and while most people would say that A7X needs to return to their "roots", I think that coming up with new and different stuff every now and then is better than having three or four albums that sounded exactly the same. I like to reference 3 Doors Down in this case. All three of their Albums sounded a lot alike and the last one's sales plummeted because of this reason, in my opinion. With A7X, they've shown that they can sell albums and still work on putting new sounds into their albums. It's not like they completely sold out or anything, you can still hear the trademark A7X sound in all of their songs. Syn's solo in "Afterlife" off the latest album is particularly disgusting (the good kind of disgusting) Ah! Now playing...Pardon Me by Incubus
8. Gothic Lolita does look flattering on most women to me, and Misa from Death Note looks reeeaally great in GL clothes..:animenose But as far as the style goes, it's probably not something you would wanna do if you were the tadest bit self conscious. Lots of weird looks and probably evil stares from people over the age of 50 would ensue. I have no problems with it, but lots of people seem to think Gotchic= Devil Worship. So, a word to the wise is, wear GL if you don't mind being noticed and or talked about in public under hushed breath.
9. I was takin a quick stroll around the rock band land...and found some gems of mine that I loved when I was younger. Namely "Kickstart My Heart" by Motley Crue and "Take my Pain Away" by Jimmy Eat World. Crue is just awesome, great music to play after a long day at the office or school or what have you. Jimmy Eat World is hit and miss for me, but "Takes my Pain Away" is another good song to play when you wanna get out some negative energies.
10.
Two new pictures for you all ^_^ everyone's looking cool and artsy and usual though. Too much hairspray. No mohawk =O. Darren, you look quite scary and angry in your picture, haha. Maybe it's just the blueness though. Who did you kill? =p
Ack, no mowhawk...shame shame.
11. For some reason, I have this odd obsession with Blink-182 right now. All that pop-punk stuff is kinda bleh, but at least Blink does it right with some good drumming and appropriately worked guitar pieces. As far as songs go, it'd have to be Online Songs and Story of a Lonely Guy. I'm also hyped up on Avenged Sevenfold. Most people are still riding the Almost Easy radio play waves...but right now I'm stuck on Afterlife and Unbound: The Wild Ride. Gonna get a chance to see them in a few weeks here. It's gonna be sick I'm sure. For some reason as far as performing music goes, I have an obession with using double ride cymbals in our more recent song making ventures. Kinda speeds up our song tempo, but I think that the musicality our band is known for still is evident. Most bands now a days sacrifice musicality for speed...the result is bland sounding music. My set is starting to resemble the Devil's set from Tenacious D and the Pick of Destiny.
12.
Bonjour, je suis de la France, mais je vis en Amérique. Je m'appelle peter et moi sommes un géant harcèlent le crayon. I do not know what I just said, but good lucky trying to translate it.
lol you said " Hello, i am France, but i live in american. My name is peter and I am (should be je suis again, but who cares) a giant (should be grande) pestering pencil. Good stuff :D
13. Je parle francais aussi. Je m'appelle Korey (s'voulez mon nom =P) and j'ai dix-huit ans.
14. "Wait, you mean to tell me Lysol really is poisounous?" "This grave marker is telling me that no one really is paying attention to what Korey did..." ~ indifference "Here lies, Korey.....yep...he's still there...not gonna move anytime soon..." "I'll be back..."
15. I'm glad that two of my entries made it in. Hooray for nifty ness. Ah one more nifty thing if you will What is it? Being nominated for being nifty and making on the list twice.... Why is it nifty? Cause you were too nifty to just have one spot :D
16. Hey there...it's time for a change in pace for me...I'd like a new set from one of you ever so talented artists out there...here' my concept... I'd like this pic..... as one of the center images of the avatar and the banner...I'd like the people to stay in the photo...but crop whatever you need out. The AVI- just the band members...as most as you can get in there. Banner: about the same but add in the words "it took a funeral to make me feel alive" in a spooky, creepy sort of font. Thank you in advance :D
17. Course ya sexy Steph! ^_~ Ah...been a while since I gave one of these.... http://i89.photobucket.com/albums/k221/HaruharaK/DSC00184.jpg It's my "O RLY?" face.
18. I'd vote for Obama, because although he spews some some of the atypical political drivel, he still comes off as a sincerely nice person. I tend to look down on those who say "This nation is not ready for a black president with the name Obama" That's judging a person on a whole new level of ignorance that doesn't need to be there in the first place. As long as you're getting the job done for Americans...then you're ok in my book. Plus Obama focuses his campaign on domestic issues, not just pulling out our troops.
19. Heee...I'm listening to old some old stuff. Billy Idol- Rebel Yell. I found out why people liked Billy Idol so much, and this song is very catchy. Dead Or Alive- Turn Around and Count 2 Ten. They were popular in the 80s, but it's a shame what happened to Pete Burns. The dude used to be so cool to me, but now......:animesigh
20. My votes go to M. Shadows (A7X)- Not so much for his singing per se, but his lyric writing skills are superb. Some of his stuff gets pretty addicting. Plus he has a nice maniacal laugh. The drummer in the band my buddy is in curses him for being the 1st rocker to sport a grill as a part of his act. Brandon Flowers (The Killers)- His voice is so distinct and offbeat that he is cool. No one really gives The Killers props, but their CDs are gems as far as music goes. It has an old school feel to it and yet still retains that "Killers" sound in every track. Brandon's lyrics make the songs alive in my opinion. A good Example would be in "Read My Mind" off of the Sam's Town CD. Anthony Keidis (RHCP)- I've always been a fan of RHCP and some of Keidis's lyrics still remain stuck in my head. Under the Bringe and Scar Tissue are ones that stick out for me. Even if you're not a RHCP fan, I bet you can find one song of theirs that you like. Guaranteed.
21. I think that it really depends on what kind of market the anime is directed towards. The majority of Anime released is for its Japanese audiences and most of it if you notice, centers itself on Japanese culture and customs. Most of it is intended to do well domestically first, then they try to venture out into overseas markets. If an anime bombs in your own country, how can you expect it to do well overseas? There are some exceptions to this, with Fruits Basket and other series doing very well over here when they tanked in Japan. Some anime directors try to make anime more Westernized and appeal to their European and American markets. Some of it works, but to be honest...most of it tanks hard. It's hard for a Japanese anime director to truly capture the spirit of Western culture appropriately because they don't necessarily have the experience with our customs. So most of it comes out a little stereotypical and sometimes badly done because of lack of research or experience with Western Culture. The same can be said of Western made anime that is sent over to Japan for Japanese audiences.
22.
o_O She looks like me... with straight teeth. No really. Her eyes are very similar, too. Whoa. And you, as always look cute. Silpheed - aaaaah! *falls over*
Are you secretly Alyssa in disguise or something :D?
23. Here's a pic of me and my everything...Alyssa
24.
Awww, Korey, you're so cute! ^_^ o_o Spider-bites.... *drools* Ahem. Sorry. I'm not allowed to do that. >.> I need to get some pictures of me with my cool new hair. Rawr. So many sexy people, how can I compete?
Lol....you already have enough Coolio points with me, so I don't need to dish any out at this point. But thank you hun, I appreciate it.
25.
i like your eyes, dude. They're cool
+20 Coolio points to you for the compliment...thank you. I think my eyes are my best quality too, because they are such a green color. And not to sound dramatic or anything, but my eyes really give away my true emotions. I can hide a lot of emotion, but my eyes always give me away Here's some new pics... Did this for my GF, cause she said so.... This one was my idea, thought it was romantic and cute.
