2. If you know what gets you overwhelmed, then take steps to go against that. Cut down on things, whether it would be clubs or other organizations....that would lighten the load a tad. Even though it sucks to tell those people in charge, you are doing what's best for you...I'm sure they'd understand...if they don't then it's not your problem.
3. Wow DB, what a long winded way to say "HELP ME! I Don't know what to do!" All kidding aside, I can feel your pain. As a junior in High School, I was fooled into thinking that having a lot of extra classes would help me towards my goal of doing journalism in college. I had clubs, a girlfriend and wrestling to deal with as well...all of them also required a lot of attention. As a result, I didn't enjoy my Junior year as much as I possibly could and that was a shame. Now as an incoming freshman to college, I realize the importance of not overloading yourself with classes. You only suffer in other parts of your life (home, realtionships and such). My advice to you is to find out what you REALLY want to do. What feels right for you. I'm not going to tell you "Hey DB, do this or do that" because that isn't my place. All I can say is, do what is going to make you the happiest. Don't worry about "oh man I miss out on an oppourtunity" because another one will ALWAYS come up in the field you are looking into. You just have to be patient. My ultimate message is DO WHAT MAKES YOU HAPPY
4. A friend told me a great thing that I can pass on to you. No matter what happens, never let a drunkard take your dignity. They're drunks remember that. I had a bad customer experience when a customer at my grocery store asked me where to find Wheat Germ. I've been working there for about 6 months now and I've never run across wheat germ in our store. I thought about it and suggested where it might be found. That was the best logic I could think of...but then, the customer comes up to me 5 minutes later and shoves the thing in my face and says "HERE IT IS! AND IT WASN'T ON THAT AISLE! HOW COME NOBODY IN THIS STORE KNOWS WHERE THEIR ******* IS?! THAT'S WHY THEY SHOULDN'T HIRE TEENAGERS TO WORK! THEY DON'T KNOW *******!" To clear up things, I am 18. Technically I'm an adult like everyone else, but I look younger than I am. I calmly apologized to the customer and asked her where the Wheat Germ was so I could learn. She said "forget it" and stormed off. To make matters worse, my supervisor calls me over and said that the customer complained to him and that she said I was very rude to her. My supervisor knows that I have nothing but courtesy and respect for all customers, so he asked me what happened. I told him exactly what happened and he walked over to the customer and tried to explain to her that I had made a simple mistake and that I am one of the best employees in the store, but that lady wasn't having it. She demanded a free roasted chicken from our deli as compensation. Our manager was on to her game and told her that he can't do that for these types of issues. Again, she stormed off and left the store. My manager turns around and smiles and goes "Yep. Problem Solved!"

6. Yuz flung himself at Dean again and repeated strike after strike , but he couldn't hit him. 'I don't understand....I defeated several agents before, why can't I hit him?' Agent Dean smirked and hit Yuz with a flat palm against his chest which sent Yuz flying across the room and hit the wall with a thud. His body twitched in the real world and blood began to gush from his mouth. "Yu....mph!" Ryan attempted to scream, but Alex covered his mouth and he motioned for her to remained quiet. Meanwhile in the Matrix...Yuz steadily got up and staggered to his feet. His head was throbbing and he couldn't see a thing except for a black silhouette. He thought he heard Dean speak, but he couldn't make out anything....his world started to fade. 'This is it..I'm sorry...' He said to himself, but then he heard a voice inside his head. "I will kill you if you die Yuz!" It was Ahrianna again. "Time to die Mr. Zabuki (Yuz's last name). Have a nice time in hell," Dean said behind an evil grin. He threw a stabbing shot at Yuz, but Yuz managed to block the stike inches before his throat. "It can't be..." Dean gasped. Yuz grabbed Dean's wrist and twisted it and put into a hammerlock behind his back. Dean tried desparately to free himself, but Yuz continued to apply pressure on the hold.Dean threw a kick to Yuz's midsection and the kick bounced off of Yuz's torso. Dean yelled out in agony and then Yuz let go of the hold. Dean came at Yuz with a flurry of punches, of all which were blocked. The tide of battle had changed! Yuz grabbed Dean by his collar and headbutted him, which sent Dean sliding across the linoleum. Without hesitiation, Yuz pounced on Dean and began to punch him furiously. Yuz was enjoying bashing Dean's face in....but suddenly he stopped. Visions of his girlfriend flashed in his head. He got up and ran away from Dean, who didn't give chase...instead he pulled out a small black cell phone and dialed a number. "This is number 5. Target showed amazing potential. We must recruit him to our side." Yuz ran outside and looked for the nearest phone booth. There was an occupied booth not too far from his position. He shoved the person out of the way and disconnected their call. "Hey man! What do you think you're doing." Without hesitating, Yuz dialed the operator's number. Ryan's voice came on meekly "Operator?" she said. "Get me out of here Ryan." "You got it." Yuz came back to the real world with a jolt. Ryan unplugged him and as he sat in the chair...she hugged him. "Oh my God! I thought I lost you two! Don't ever scare me like that again." Yuz stared at her in disbelief "Lost both of us? What are you talking about?" "So you encountered him too huh?" Alex said without emotion. "Yeah..." Yuz said."We need to find out what's going on."
7. Yuz fell into the matrix and landed outside a large building in the middle of a busy intersection. He slowly got up and he was met with the sound of screeching brakes and honking horns. A large sedan was hurtling towards him and didn't look like it was gonna stop in time. Without batting an eye, Yuz extended his hand and stopped the car in its tracks. The front end of the car was crushed like an empty soda can. The driver got out and started yelling at Yuz, but he ignored his complaints and looked around. This was strange...normally when Yuz entered the Matrix he landed in a remote location or somewhere that didn't attract a lot of attention. Something was up with the program for sure. All of a sudden he heard gunshots from the nearby building and all doubts were erased from his mind...That's where Twitch was. Yuz sprinted into the building. As he entered, a man in a black buisness suit with sunglasses approached him. Was it an agent? Not possible, the agents were destroyed when Neo destroyed Smith. The man smirked and began to speak. "You must be the Shell Terminal Hacker. You have been doing a lot of good in this place. That's admirable. However, you are standing the way of our objective. I'm afraid I will have to eliminate you...." "Who are you?" Yuz replied. "Do you remember my predecessor? Agent Smith? I am his successor, the answer to all of you filthy humans progress. I am Agent Dean." Yuz tried to advance past Dean, but it looked as if Dean wasn't going to let Yuz go on his merry way. Yuz lunged at Dean with a flying fist, but Dean swiftly dodged and landed a swift kick to Yuz's mid-section, which sent him flying across the room and into a wall. As he got up...he heard a strange voice... "Yuz! You musn't fight him. You are not strong enough yet!" The voice called out to him. Yuz looked around but no one was in sight. "Who are you?" replied to the voice. "My name is Ahrianna, I'm speaking to you through astral projection. You musn't fight him Yuz....RUN!" "Ahrianna? You're the one I'm searching for! Where are you?" "That's not important right now Yuz. You need to get out of there or you are going to die!" "I'm sorry Ahrianna. Not my style.I can't abandon Twitch. I never leave any comrades behind." "You humans are all the same. When you realize your helplessness, you succumb to delusions." Dean snobbishly sneered. Yuz got up and took his overcoat off....revealing his a tightly fit undershirt. He assumed a low stance and readied himself for the oncoming barrage. 'I can't die yet. Not until I find her.' Yuz said to himself.
8. I've done local stuff for tournaments recently and the tournaments were never as big as the ones described here....I did however win a SF junior Nationals tournament a few years back (okay so like 10). I used to play SF2 sooooo much while I lived in Germany that it never left my SNES for like 2 years. When I got back to the states, one of my relatives got a flyer about the SF junior Nationals that was being held in St Louis. I did the SF2 turbo division and won about 500 dollars for getting first place. An 8 year old besting 15 year olds. My Chun Li was unstoppable. I still played some regional stuff for a few years before I discovered DDR.....but now I'm back into the tournament scene and I wanna enter EVO 2k8 for CvS2 and SF2 turbo.
9. On Bemanistyle, I found the whole song list for beatmania IIDX red and downloaded that. The steps are okay, but not all the songs are pad worthy (******* you Scoprion Fire) most of them require a keyboard of some kind....T_T. I also have all the mixes available due to torrent usage (stepmania mega pack). My current theme is the theme for Beatmania IIDX red. I know that they released a Supernova theme, but I don't like it as much as my Beatmania scheme. I also have some video game songs, such as Jenova theme from FF7, the theme song from DOA:XBV and the Sigma's Fortress from Megaman X5. Does that sound good enough for you?
10. Ooc: This is turning into quite the two poster affair....where are the rest of you guys?! I will dispatch PMs today to those who have yet to post. IC: Yuz arrived at the Crimson Logos and was greeted with the sound of Trance music and a large undistinguishable mob of his fellow humans dancing in one giant clump. He waded his way through the dancers and made his way through to the bar. He sat down and ordered water, to which the bartender responded "You too?" Yuz was puzzled and the bartender pointed to a man down at the end of the bar. Yuz immediately recognized him and told the bartender to set his water down at that end of the bar. He approached Alex and extended his hand? Alex looked as if in a trance. He wasn't listening to anything, he was in his own world. Yuz had to hold back his anger, because he needed Alex to help him find Ahrianna. Yuz sat down next to Alex and the jolt from him sitting down seemed to pull Alex back into reality. He looked at Yuz with a questioning glance and then smirked. "You're that redpill I saw earlier." Alex said dryly "Name's Yuz. Got that? I know why you are searching the Matrix. And I want to help you...but you must help me as well. I'm looking for a user known as Ahrianna. Do you know of her?" Yuz replied just as dryly "I don't...but I know how to find her. But you must be willing to do anything I say. I'm your captain now." Alex said. "I don't have to answer to anyone. I agreed to help you because we are both looking for someone. I will do the best I can to assist you, but I will not take orders from you." Alex chuckled to himself and asked "So what can you do?" "I'm a skilled net diver. I can hack into shell terminals within the Matrix and find out anything....whether it would be information on users or current locations of users. I am also more than proficient in hand to hand combat. I am here to help you. I am at your service." Yuz replied."So what do we do first?"

I would LOVE for a sequel to come out for the Wii. DK Jungle Beat was one of those titles that charmed people so much that it definitely merits a sequel in my opinion.

13. For all future reference...fighting game english dubs are just as bad as most english dubs for anime, if not worse. My vote has to go to the Soul Calibur series....it makes Kilik seem like a pansy, even though he has some really cool dialgoue. Did anyone ever notice that Nightmare sounds a tad bit like Link in the Japanese audio setting in SC2? As far as 2D fighters goes, my vote is split between Guilty Gear and Street Fighter. I loved KoF as well, but they need to do some serious updating to their fighting engines and sprites before I ever pick up that series again. C'Mon SNK, we live in the 21st century! Let's at least pretend we care about our graphics here. I love Guilty Gear because it's so fast paced and matches can get really intense at higher level play. One mistake and BAM! You're on the receieving end of a high damage Dust Loop or Gatling combo. The zany cast of characters is pretty cool too. Turtle Rushdown Baiken FTW!!!! ^_^ Street Fighter is awesome, because it's Street Fighter. Everyone has played SF2 at least once and can rememer the game. It's a classic and the developers at Capcom were doing well for the longest time with the series (with the exception of the EX series >_
14. I like to call animals in a stupidly crazy voice. Y'know the one I'm talking about where you repeat the same phrase over and over again and you eventually stop enunciating at all and your voice becomes really really high pictched. I wouldn't do it in front of others, but I enjoy to do it because of the mad love I have for my dog.
15. All of us self proclaimed masters need to duke it out on XBox Live to settle who is the best fighting game player of Otakuboards (I can't wait to whoop the living crap out of all of you ^_~) I'm more partial to 2D fighters rather than 3D ones, because n00bish spamming the buttons abounds in the latter. My brother and I duke it out a lot and most of the time I win, but he has some tricks that I fall for. His C groove Terry is good in CvS2, but my P groove Ken is that much better. Daigo tactics abound in those matches. I've played Tekken since 3 and I loved the game. I don't see how the game is slow at all. I think that Soul Calibur is actually a little slower than Tekken because of the many menues that I've had to go through to get to the fight. I didn't like Soul Calibur 3 because it was horribly unbalanced (Why is Xianghua so damn good in that one? She totally *******'ed up the tiers in that one). However, the Arcade release made up for those mistakes. Let's hope Namco Bandai does fix that for Soul Calibur 4.
16. To tell you the honest truth, I never really listen to J-pop or J-rock when I draw. I listen to a wide variety of music and it just helps me concentrate, whether it would be sad or peppy or whatever. Music won't really affect my mood while I draw, it's basically a medium that helps me concentrate. I look to different Manga-ka for inspiration. I liked the art style of Tite Kubo, because of the outfits that he concocts for his characters. I liked the line work in Masashi Kishimoto's works like Naruto and Takeshi Obata's Death Note's brooding characters in Death Note all inspire my style. I like to draw little Chibi-Me's and have them critique my drawings. The one area I really never had any problem with was background design. I love to draw scenery, and my speciality is countryside. I can draw a medeval plain with a castle in the distance and swaying grass or I can draw a lush Bamboo forest complete with stone paths and a babbling brook. What helps me the most when I'm drawing is stopping. I like to stop, relax, maybe burn a few pounds off playing DDR or something and then return to the drawing and put something cool on paper.
17. Also the word Otaku can apply to any sort of infromation specialist. I've heard the developers of Final Fantasy 12 call themselves "History Otaku". That does this mean that they are history obessed people who never surface for air besides the occasional need to get substinence and relieve themselves....? Certainlly not. I think in this sense, the word Otaku can be connotated as meaning "Expert or knowledgeable person" . So I don't think that using the strict defintions on a doubtable source such as Wikipedia, can be truly be the absolute meaning of the word Otaku. I call myself an Otaku on many different subjects: Journalism, Rhythym games, Fighting games, and so on and so forth. I don't think that it's a bad thing at all. Just don't take yourself too seriously though. Everyone has a little Otaku in them, whether it would be music, or clothing design and so forth.
18. I love to play Fighting games just about as much as Rhythym games and I wanted to know....what's your favorite fighting game? My personal favorite fighting game is Street Fighter 3: 3rd strike. The game innovated on the older gameplay of previous SF entries with the Parrying system and the new throwing method that made so much more sense to me. 3rd strike was the crown jewel of the the SF3 series (There were two other games that preceded it: New Warriors (verify?) and Double Strike). I still watch the video from Evolution where Daigo Umehara singled parryed Justin Wong's Chun Li to win the tournament, that was crazy. It's a shame that he hasn't been as good in recent years:animesigh oh if you wanted to see the video.....here it is http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KS7hkwbKmBM :animenose Crazy.
19. Some of my most outragoues purchases are game related....some not. But they still are outrageous. 1. Redoctane Afterburner pads- Every DDR player knows that playing DDR on metal pads at home shows pretty much the ultimate commitment to your DDR life. I only know a few people in my town that play with them and most of the time my pads are the ones brought over to parties, because people don't have to take their shoes off to play. They cost 400 for both pads, but that's because I shopped around. But still, paying 400 dollars for DDR pads is pretty expensive. 2. Katanas- I have several Katana's in my home and about four of them are mine. I found most of them in craft shops in various places, but I got a custom Katana that was made for me. They took out the crossguard on the sword, which some swordsmen preferred to use because you could unsheath the sword quickly. I got the lacquer painted black and put azure blue snowflakes on the hilt. It's very cool looking and very expensive. I would say it cost me about 350 dollars for that Katana alone. 3. Nori Fighting game stick- I love to play fighting games, but I don't have the pleasure of runnning out to the local arcade and playing there....so I compensated by buying Nori's fighting stick, which for my money is the best stick on the market. I bring it to gatherings and tournaments and such. I'm hoping to enter Evolution 2k8 so that I can see where I stand in the world of fighting games. Nori's stick cost me 120 bucks. That's dedication baby.
20.
Guys, recommending what games to get or not to get is cool, but your discussion is starting to get a bit personal and off-topic and is sort of derailing the purpose of the thread, so please could you continue this over PM or IM? :)
I hear you...no more. I surrender! I'm tired of arguing when we should be glorifying games that were on the GC. I think TP trumps OoT in some respects, but not others. I agree with Des about the Dungeons. Nine dungeons was great and I enjoyed most of them, espcially the water temple. Now looking back at it....I still think that OoT is a great game than can hold up to some other games in this generation and teach them a thing or two about level development. I think that the Wii combat on TP is really cool and intuitive, and the way I play, I look like a Wii-tard swinging around my sword making Link's various yelps and grunts. But it's all in good fun. If you like easier DDR games and you always wondered what it would be like to have Mario Dance fight whoever he meets then I would suggest DDR: Mario Mix. It's no where near as challenging as other console releases, but if you wanted to play the Mario theme song on a DDR pad, then have at it. I picked it up, and I thought it was okay. Some songs were actually challenging, but playing on the hardest difficulty setting was easier than it should have been. It's worth a rent in my opinion.
21.
But if you liked SA2 thats cool. Just don't say it's better then MGSTTS.
Did I say MGSTTS was worse than SA2? Cause I don't remember saying it was. I do however remember saying that MGSTTS was a total waste of developer dollars. I did think that SA2 was frickin awesome on the DC when I was younger. My eighth grade mind thought it was the coolest game ever. Maybe I got nostalgic when I recommended it, I don't know. I don't think it was the nail in Sega's coffin though. Maybe it was because Sega released a system during a time where much better systems were set to come out and got blown away due to lack of first party support.....or maybe devlopers started to sway towards better technology and support from a better hardware developer....I don't know;)
22.
Sonic Adventure 2 sucked. Ill gladly shoot you if you dont want to. Super Mario Sunshine was an amazing platformer. SA2 did so many things wrong. The hunting and shooting levels were awful. Sonic and Shadow were the only fun parts but it lagged and the camera couldnt keep up. The only thing good about the game was the final battle. I was a huge fan of SA when it was on the DC then at the end of the DCs lifespan this piece of crap was released which was another nail in SEGAs coften. Vs mode and Chao raising don't help this game either.
Again, I stick with my suggestion. I did play Super Mario Sunshine and thought it was great, however I think that as far as games go, SA2 Battle did merit attention in my eyes. Don' shoot me down over a matter of personal prefence my friend. I did like SA2 on the DC better, but I think that if you missed out on that, the GC version would be great.
F-Zero wasn't a bad game. The story was decent and it was fast. But it always felt like you were slower then everyone else was. So it was a huge pain. Mario Kart completely owned that game though. Nothing beats Mario Kart 64 or even Double Dash. For F-Zero I think the SNES version was better then the GC one.
I liked the SNES version better as well....and I would even say that the one released on the GBA deserves credit for going back to the roots of the series and creating another classic FZero. I liked Fzero 64 just fine and FZero GC was good as well. No one can top Mario Kart because it has a massive fan base and the game is really fun to play at parties. F Zero doesn't have that quality, but it's still a quality title. I have to bring this up though....if you play above 100cc in any Mario Kart Game, you are automatically slower than the computer too.....^_~
MGSTTS wasn't popular because people were pissed that it was not on a Sony system. Some also felt it was stupid to remake a classic. I think it was great. It could get gamers into the MGS series without having to play the horribly outdated original. The only thing that sucked about it was tey took away all the girls sexy accents:animeshy:
I too believed that MGSTTS was not needed. The game didn't need a remake, at all. How can you justify evolution in the series when you go back to the original game and give it all new features? I think Konami should have left that one alone and just plugged ahead with the other projects. Nothing against the game, it was a solid (excuse the pun) experience. However, I already know the story....the ending and stuff like that. I payed 20 bucks for the original MGS, why would I waste money to buy the essentialy same game but with new additions? That's why I never liked expansion packs to MMO's. If you just brought down the servers for like, 2 days and added all the stuff, then we could just get on with our lives. We bought the damn game, we pay to play, why heap on more payments on us? But I digress.
23. Yuz confronted Twitch outside of the club, but he brushed him off. He seemed to into his own thoughts to be bothered about anything else. But Yuz wasn't about to be denied anything. He walked up to a woman wearing a bright pastel colored tank top and miniskirt. "Security Override. Level Alpha" The girl was puzzled about Yuz's strange behavior, but then her body twitched and she said "Username and Password." "Sykel. Password: We shall walk where gods fear to exist." With that, Yuz slipped into the Shell terminal and began to type. /user name"Twitch". The computer spat back "Unable to verify, modify search query. Yuz typed again /Matrix History then /Username: Twitch-history. The screen brought up a detailed biography of all aspects of Twitch's behavior, personality, log ins and log offs....etc. His eyes caught something in particular. Ash: Former Girlfriend, now Deceased. "That's why...." Yuz said to himself. He couldn't believe it. There was someone else besides him that was searching. Maybe if he could help Twitch, he would in turn help Yuz find "Ahrianna". Yuz then logged off the terminal and then jacked out. "Where would he be?" Yuz thought. He knew of one place, The Crimson Logos....Zion's biggest bar.
24.
No one said Metal Gear Solid The Twin Snakes. It's a remake of the original MGS. Huge graphic overhaul , first person aiming , new cut scenes , extended VA. While the game has identical level design and boss fights. It's great if you never played the original MGS. Even if you have it is still great to go back and play it revamped. Everyone who recomended Sonic Adventure 2 go shoot yourself. Seriously Sonic was only good for it's time when it was on the DC and even then it was pretty crappy. F-Zero is an extrmely diffucult game so prepare for a challenge. RE4 is only slighty better on GC because it has slightly better graphics annd a more comfortable control scheme. RE4 for PS2 has a lot more content then the GC version. Tales of Symphonia is a great game which is also 4 player coop. It's a fun, fast ,action RPG. No one said Pikmin 2 either. A unique and clever strategy game.
I said Sonic Adventure 2. I recommended it because I never took a shining to Mario: Sunshine and any other platformer/adventure game, so I suggested it. I also liked the multiplayer options on the GC version. So I will abstain for the shooting myself, thank you. I'm sticking with my suggestion F-Zero- is not as hard as you would think it to be. It takes time to learn, just like other games. The sense of speed is just plain awesome though. A good racer to back up Mario Kart too. MGS: TS was okay and I liked all the new stuff, but there was something nostalgic about the original version on the PSX. I personally thought it a waste of money, because the game was epic without all the new gameplay options. So I don't think it's a must buy. Unless you haven't played the original game.

Cammy

Y'know I actually enjoyed the uncolored version just a tad more. I would say for that one, all it would need was some toning on the skin and background and it would be perfect. I like the fact that you chose to use the Delta Red uniform version of Cammy instead of the Shadaloo version. I think personally it's easier to draw than the other uniform, where it's made of some sort of softer fabric and you have to flesh it out that way. I like the profile view as well, and I would humbly request that you put up a full body picture next time, because I'm interested how you would flesh out the rest of the picture if you used the same pose. Good job!
