I don't even know if you can upload non-picture files to OB. For audio files, you can use www.myspace.com or www.purevolume.com to upload the songs and have people play them. To download, there are sites like www.megaupload.com and www.putfile.com. Video files can go on www.photobucket.com, myspace, and www.youtube.com. I'm sure there are plenty of others, and if you want to use a different one, go ahead.
Thanks Clurr, I'll get right on it. EDIT: Here's a sample. Go to www.purevolume.com/djredrum and download the song that's up there for a sample of my work.
-
Nope, it can be an audio file too. Just as long as it's your take on a prewritten song.
can it be loaded to OB or does it have to be through another website?
-
Does it have to be video? Cause I have a crap load of mixes and stuff on my computer and stuff, but I haven't recorded myself actually playing since it's mostly synth loops and stuff on the computer.
Just wondering who out there has played trickster online it's pretty fun. I have a lvl 31 Bunny character. For those who havent heard of it you should check it out if your looking for a cutesy MMORPG. The graphics are good, they are manly chibi based and the mosters are creative, there's even a toilet monster. xD For those who do have how are you liking the Summers night wish quest? Tricksteronline.com is where to go if you havent already got an account. For everyone else have fun!
Is this a pay to play RPG or is it like Guild Wars, where it's free? I love MMO's but I don't want to shell out any more money than necessary to play the game. I already pay for LOTR online and Ragnarok online and I don't think my wallet can take another RPG. I've got a few questions though. How's the community? Is it full of a bunch of n00b haters? Or are they pretty welcoming? How's the battle system?- Am I going to have to learn a new computer code just to attack someone or cast a spell? How good is the class progression?- Is it a pain in the tookus to try and change classes or progress within a class?

Okay slow down and breathe. What is it telling you, that you can't receieve Private Messages or that you can't send them? Because if it's the former, I think that it's because you have a user option turned off that says "Enable Private Messaging". If it's a spelling issue, tell your pals to look for you under the "Members List and click on your name. Then they should be able to send you a message, provided that you have the ability to recieve Private Messages. Try that first. ^_^ ~Korey

I used to play baseball and let me tell you, that makes you supersitious. One time I pitched 6 perfect innings and I didn't wash my jersey because I thought it was lucky and I wanted to pitch like that again, so I wore my stanky arse jersey again. We used to always eat the same kind of sunflower seeds and chew the same kind of gum every game because we thought it was good luck. We also had our rally caps and stuff like that. Baseball players are the most superstitious people in the universe. As for myself, yeah I am superstitious of certain things but not stupid stuff like spilling the salt and breaking mirrors. I have been involved in altercations that I won't care to mention, let's just say it involves guns and tattoos of the number XIII over your scar tissue. No I didn't steal it from Black Cat, I thought of it a long time ago.

I've been playing games since the tender age of 3, so I've been around the perverbial video game block. My favorite game was Street Fighter and I was always good at it, but I always wasn't as good as my dad. That soon changed when we bought SSF2:Turbo and I got in a lot of practice time, so I became really good at the game. I eventually worked my way into a junior nationals tournament and won my bracket at the age of 8. To this day, I still have the match taped and I run it from time to time on my VCR. Man the memories abound from that. Lil Poison ain't got nothing on me! ^_^ I still play SSF2:Turbo on my SNES almost every week. It amazes me that I still admire this game and still play till this day. You should see my cartridge, it's all stained with grease from late night practice sessions with friends and like 5 boxes of Pizza. The label's peeling off, the game's receptors have to be blown on like three times before it works, but when it gets going, man it's one smooth ride.

If you had to put on a scale I'm at a 9 as well. The sun is shining, it's almost a hundred degrees outside and I'm sweating like a pig, but I'm feeling great. I've had two days off from work and I have to go in today at 7:00 which is great because I only have to work for like 5 hours and then I'm done. I'm getting ready for college and the whole lifestyle that it's going to bring. Right now I'm listnening to Green Day's "When I Come Around" and I've got to say, it personifies my mood to the fullest.
In one word...EVERYTHING!!!!! I have one job in sales and let me tell you I HATE IT!!!!! Until you have a job in retail or sales you really can't truly understand just how many stupid people there are out there. Some people are just overly obnoxious and I wish I could punch them or put them in their place. If there is anyone who actually likes retail and sales GOOD LUCK to you!
I'm going to go out on a limb here and say yes, I love my job in sales. I work with a great bunch of people and we are constantly joking around with each other and doing stupid things while on the clock. Ever surfed on a shopping cart? Try five of them hooked together and steering them to avoid cars, that is fun. Or wrestling in the break room with a 240 pound co-worker after you just punched out for the day. And actually winning. You find the things that make your job fun for you. For us, it's being idiots, but not in front of the customer. I've never had a cross word with any customer and if I do say anything, it's after they are well out of earshot and it's only if I'm really pissed off...but that hardly ever happens. People will be people and do stupid things, like call you an idiot or ask to speak with your manager. That's life
But since this really was supposed to be about my anti drug, I attached the following image to leave the right impression of me on everyone who has ever seen or read a doujinshi.
Heh nothing says I don't do drugs like pleasuring oneself to sexual images....or text. But even yaoi and other types of hentai would be bad if done more than average people do. I've seen people addicted to this stuff and to be honest, they weird me out than stoners and angry drunks. I have more than one anti-drug, and one of them would be playing DDR. I have old classmates that I knew play DDR with me on a regular basis and pretty much all of them started smoking when they turned 18. Needless to say only three of us remain playing DDR because the rest of them are too busy huffing and puffing on the mini-stogy. DDR is my anti-drug because it keeps me healthy when I'm not in sports or working out. It's a workout and a game at the same time. Playing DDR really shows me how fortunate I am to be able to be healthy and play for hours on end and only have to have like 2 jugs of water afterwards....and like half a thing of deodarant. As a side note though, have you seen drunks or stoners play DDR. Drunks play so bad that they fall down and stoners are weirded out by the bright lights and flashing arrows. It's hilarious either way :D

I see your plight, but trust me there are worse songs to hear from DDR and Japan. Here's another band I love to hate. AQUA- You may know them from Barbie Girl fame, but I know them as the most annoying band/group in the world. Their stuff is all sort of Ace of Base ish, where everyone's beats are the same, just with new words. But unlike Ace of Base, who are also Norweigan BTW, Aqua has the most annoying female singer. My sister had their old album and trust me, it got old quick when we listened to it on car trip.

Psst...Marty Robbins! You're on. Jeez, someone cue this guy...*El Paso theme starts playing*..There we go, some mood music. Down in the west Texas town of El Paso...I fell in love with a mexican girl. Seriously, bievendios a mi barrio El Paso. For the spanish challenged, that means welcome to my Hood fool (without the fool, I just added that in for good measure) We're a pretty big city in Texas and our city is divided into two sides by mountains. We have the East side and the West side (predictably) I live in what's called Northeast El Paso. My neighborhood that I live in is kind of in the outskirts of town, but I love my neighborhood because the houses are nice and the people are cool too. All of them are pretty much involved into the exercise thing, so you can always see someone power walking or jogging throughout the neighorhood. In our town we have lots of strip malls and department stores. We have Kohl's, Target, and the like. We have three malls and lots of places to hang out. My favorite place has to be Carmike Cinemas, because a lot of people I know work there and the best DDR machine in town is there. I've spent over $200 there on that machine, easily. My friends like to go there on Fridays and Saturdays and hog up the DDR machine, which people don't care about because we're so good that everyone just stands there in awe of us. I live so close to the Mexican- US Border that I could throw a rock across the river and hit Mexico with it.That being said, lots of people that come here from the border don't speak a lot of English and there is a lot of Mexican license plates. But people here are really down to earth and aside from the occasional grouches, people here are extremely nice.

Most Epic Games? ff7- The game's storyline, while somewhat convoluted at some points was the driving point for the entire story. If even people who haven't played the game know the story by heart and while the other FF games before it (with the exception of ff1) had storylines, there wasn't as much appreciation for the characters and the landscape and completing the story. If a game merits two or three save slots for you...then it can be considered epic Legend of Dragoon This game was long and looked good when it came out and the story was epic worthy in my opinion. Did you not feel compassion for the characters when tragedy struck? This game was SCEA's answer to FF7 and it shined because it had the story to keep you hooked for a long time. While not as popular and recognized as FF7 was, there has been no other game that has merited a sequel in gaming message boards other than Legend of Dragoon. Xeno-series (SAGA and Gears) These games delved deep into social issues and religious ones as well, so that was a plus for me. The space opera that unfolded in the Xenosaga series was really cool and there wasn't a point in the game where I wanted to skip a cutscene to get back into the action (which wasn't that great, BTW. C'mon Namco, only one battle theme in XS1?). Xenogears was a better game in my opinion but I loved the games. I know that all these games were RPG's but hey that's what RPG's are supposed to be right? If it's not epic or made by square enix or Nippon Ichi....then it's just not an epic game baby.
B4U- Dammit all I don't even know or care if it's really Be 4 You or whatever. But they're some J-Pop band that a friend of mine is obsessed with. He talks about them and obsesses about them so much that I don't even want to hear any of their songs. I've already determined that they suck and that I want to pierce my own ear drums if I'm ever forced to listen to a CD of theirs. .
Don't go near a DDR machine then, they are littered by songs by Be For U. I don't really have a problem with them, they are just like J-pop's version of the Spice Girls or RBD. But I think that hating them just because your friend obsseses over them is a little extreme. I've had that syndrome too with FALL OUT BOY (yes I like them, but I don't obsess over them, I do listen to them casually) I LOATHED them, just because everyone around me liked them so much. Then I listened to their CD and found some tracks that I liked. I hate their Guitarist though, Pete? He is such a self absorbed ***-hole, he had the nerve to question Brandon Flowers of the Killers that FOB was riding on the coattails of the Killers' success? Oh yes you were FOB...YES YOU WERE
... I hope you didn't think I was serious. Because, if you were, then. I'm very sad. Drugs/Alcohol can be fun and all, but people who rely on it to have fun are equally sad.
I once had a girlfriend, who unbeknowst to me, smoked pot. I didn't know that she did it at all until she came to school just wacked out of her mind. She was so lazy and talked about stupid things and it just plain creeped me out. I dumped her later that day. Everything in moderation sounds good, but then again some things that aren't drugs per se can be bad for you...like playing too much video games in lieu of exercise or spending too much time on the internet....>> I don't have anything against people who smoke pot, I think that stoners need love too, but I don't want to be the one that has to love them. I believe everyone will try MJ at least one time in their lives and I think that about five percent of them will become addicted to it. Drinkers are okay to me, just I don't want to be assoiciated with people who think drinking is needed at every party in order to have a good time. That being said, I don't have a problem with having a drink or two but it's kinda sad when alchohol has to been present at a little girl's birthday party because the adults need it to have a good time.

I can stand most rap music, but when R. Kelly came out with Trapped in the Closet, I just shuddered. I listened to it and when he mentioned there was a midget in the song, I was like "Aw, here it goes..." That kind of stuff needs to stay away from music altogether, this kind of rapping soap opera. It's not even a song when you think about it...it's just him telling a story but in a singy type of voice. Kind of like a telegram guy.... *R. Kelly's voice* Mrs. Pemberton...Stop I regret to inform you...Stop That your husband...Stop Is...Stop...Is...Stop... ~~~~~~~ Fade to black... Tune back in to watch *Trapped as a Telegram Reader* ^_^

I saw them play go....whoops. I didn't know that you guys were specifically mentioning othello....Sorry Dagger.
-
Are you talking about the one with the black and white pieces? That's Othello. They also play something much more obscure involving cards (if I remember rightly) that's either based on a Japanese board game or an amalgamation of several of them. By the way, I'm going to merge this with the main Haruhi thread in a sec or two. :) ~Dagger~
Ummm actually Dagger, the game they would be playing is GO, a popular board game in Japan and Korea that involves placing black and white stones on a board and trying to make more territory than your opponent. For reference, look up the series Hikaru no Go, which is currently running in Shonen Jump. That should explain some things to you.
Even I know those rhymes and I don't even own a PS1, let stand Parappa the Rapper. I only played the demo of the game at a friend's a few time, like everyone here seems to have done. :P Hm, I don't have any rhytm games really. I don't buy such games anyway, for the same reason as I don't buy puzzle games (lack of storyline/surprises), so the only games I played were from (other people's) demo discs.
The times they have tried to implement "story" into rythym games, it has mucked up the game very badly. Case in point, DDR Mario Mix. Why would I wanna have a dance fight with Bowser when I can throw him into lava by his tail? In my opinion, story isn't necessary for rythym games because the gameplay doesn't need it. These games are pick up and play sort of games. The reason I'm so attached to these games is because of the music that's involved in them. Some of my favorite DJs are people who have contributed to DDR, Beatmania and other rythym games.

I whipped this up real quick....let me know what you think.
:/ I like Rain. Truthfully his hip-hop/upbeat songs are just horrible, but his ballads are very nice. And yes, he is very good-looking. ;)
He actually looks masculine.
OT: Did you see Stephen Colbert's parody of Rain? Seriously, check it out. One of the most hilarious things ever.
Hehe. He's singing in Korean!! That was a funny video. And he exploited every Korean stereotype of Korean people.
But right now I hate Gwen Stefani. I don't even really know why, but she's just a celebrity I really don't like. Her songs annoy me, partly because I don't like the sound of her voice and mostly because they're just irritating. The Harajuku girls or whatever also irk me. I don't even know what happened there. Kanye West is sort of off-putting, too. His songs are good, but they're not explosively great or anything, and it's annoying to see him think he's the God's gift to the world.
Kanye was cool with me, until he got on the tube and freaked out Mike Myers and Chris Tucker at the same time. I forgot what he said, something about some guy hating black people....but when you make Mike Myers and Chris Tucker both do a double take at the SAME time...that's just going too far. Gwen Stefani is one of my favorite artists for her musical beats that Pharell produces, which are just awesome. The beat for Wind it Up was great. And you can't tell me that we didn't all have Hollaback Girl on our Ipod's at one time or another.

So in other words....you being not be able to decide on something is your anti-drug. If i puff this joint, will my mom get mad at me? Will she find out? What if I choke and die? Nah that doesn't happen. Can you swallow your tongue? That's cool. That's probably the best anti-drug I've heard in a long time. Oh and by the way, I LIKE ANIME and MANGA!!!
-
Y'know I work at Albertson's and they just released it here Stateside cause I just saw it on our shelves. Huh...weird. Ironically, because band members are known for drug addictions, being able to play music is my antidrug because when I have a bad day, I can hammer out "Cowboys from Hell" on my guitar and feel really good afterwards. I'm also allergic to something in tobacco products, so I think smoking reefer would bust me out in hives as well as get me high so that's out. Who wants hives? :P
