I tottally forgot about the old kung fu flicks. i thought that uma weilding some sort of katana was somehow related to japanese anime or samurai flicks. i just tried to make some of the people that have seen this movie look at it in a different perspective. [COLOR=DarkSlateBlue]My favorite soundtracks actually come from games about music , the bemini series of games (ddr, stepmania, guitar freaks) the game supplies many of the musical genres and helped me discover rythm ^_^. I agree with the zelda soundtrack. i personally dig the songs from OoT and the classic zelda theme still has a special place in my i pod. If any of you have heard this also please let me know, but did anyone happen to catch any articles of the mario and zelda big band concert. famed creator shigeru miyamoto was there as the guest of honor and they played the classic themes from the series with a new jazz or samba twist. i wonder if they would ever have one of these here stateside.[/COLOR]

Quentin Terrentino's hit movie series Kill Bill has its fans raving over the seemingly relentless hack and slash action, but did quentin draw from anime and manga for his inspiration? For example, the gun is the most prevalent form of weapons in movie's today. So why does quentin have uma weilding a katana. Other aspects of anime and manga series can also be seen such as the "obscure" enemies and the physics defying fights. A lot of these elments can be seen in the upcoming "hero" movie in which terrentino takes a page from crouching tiger and adds in some anime esque storylines and other parts. am i wrong here? tell me what you think.[/COLOR]

[COLOR=DarkSlateBlue]the ghost in the shell series would definitely translate well into videogames, with the fast and furious action in the series. My personal fave manga right now, naruto is slated for a late holiday season relase so i'm drooling over that. I would say that a more in depth fighting game for fighting manga or anime such as DBGT and yu yu hakusho should be enough to tide the fans down for a little while, but if you're like me, youve seen one mediocre dbz game, youve seen them all. I would like to see more games that detail the less known anime and manga come into play, like realbout highschool or even sports manga like Whistle! or the prince of tennis. These games are often unknown in the gaming world and fetch a hefty price in say 5 to 10 years. For example, dragon ball gt final bout only was relased in america in limited qualities, now it is considered a "holy grail" of gaming and has a street rating of $220 or $300! but still anime and manga should be much more represented in the gaming world. meh (shrugs) i still play dbz budokai 2 for now but it would be nice to see something that is totally different.[/COLOR]

I think that the people at namco were trying to change the look of the game so much that they got away from what made the game so much fun. Versus mode! and to sephiroth, those are some great pics, but some of those backgrounds look like soul calibur? just askin'

He's planning to make a brand new story, as he did in ZoE: the fist of mars. also he revealed more behind metal gear solid 3. if you check konami's japan website (and have the japanese translator) it has some screen shots from ZoE 3 and a little bit of good ol fashioned teasing about the games plot.[/COLOR]

[COLOR=DarkSlateBlue]The sengoku era... the defining era in japanese warfare. this was the heyday for the samurai and the basis behind my new rpg! here's a little more info. The story will revolve around several characters, but anyone is welcome to join as a villain or another character. here's how i want the character data to look like. Name: age gender looks (be specific here, also since this story takes place in feudal japan, please dress your character as such!) Personality Bio: no need to get too into detail here, just a simple explanation of their skills and who they are, where they came from...blah blah blah. here's an example of my character Name: Mibu Kyoshiro Age:20 Gender:male Looks: tall, with brown hair and brown eyes, wears torn khakiish pants and a shirt with a yin-yang symbol on the back. Personality: a bit of coward, but retains a strong sense of ideals and morals. Bio: Mibu Kyoshiro is a young medicine peddler. He is often seen carrying his trademark medicine box and a 2 meter long sword (yes i know it is huge, you will see why in a minute). But there is something weird about Kyoshiro, whenever he is close to death , something posseses him and he becomes a fierce samurai with blood red eyes. this alter ego is known as "demon eyes kyo" , the greatest swordsman from the last battle of the sengoku era. Kyo cant be free for long and eventually kyoshiro takes hold of him and becomes himself again. There, this is a little weird, but you will get it as we go along. [/COLOR]

I dont know about mammi from flcl but, i can tell who i definitely would date. i would go after monoke from princess monoke. personally i like a girl that is capable of kicking some major butt. other anime women on this list include fujiko from lupin the 3rd, faye from cowboy bebop, sakura from naruto, and last but not least, botan from yu yu hakusho. although botan is definitely a little ditsy sometimes, she can handle herself with a bat ( which is more than i can say for my self ^^) whoa! i went tottally off topic. oh well , i tried ^_^ [/COLOR]

[COLOR=DarkSlateBlue]i definitely agree with solo tremaine. you do whatever is convient for you. having personally been a few rpgs myself, i can sympathize with you. i joined a few rpgs before starting my own. if you have a good idea of how they start, progress, and finish, then it is easy to start your own. my first rpg went really well and i want to start another one. my personal advice to you is to get some of your friends, agree on the story of your personal adventure and then start out. it is always better to hack a monster or whatever with a friend than with some person you just met, but like i said do whatever is convient for you.[/COLOR]

i agree with fire phoenix. golden sun is a great buy for any rpg gamers, i also suggest zone of the enders: the fist of mars. it is a tactics type game and it is sort of long so it should keep your husband occupied. any final fantasy game is great. my suggestion as a game analyst is an rpg game that is long, challenging, and has quirks that no other rpg game has. for instance zone of the enders has a targeting system for attacks and evasion, and golden sun has magic that is useable in the actual towns, ( no more waiting to see what a technique does outside of town! huzzah!). if your husband is looking for a long game to play, buy final fantasy tactics advance. it has 300 different missions to take on, so it will take up time. (i personally havent finished it yet) well, i hope my advice helped. but the bottom line is only you know what your husband likes. try askin him what game he wants and buy it for him. i use that technique with my friends, and they never know what their gettin. cw sesshomaru out
