1. If there is a thread you feel is inappropriate please report it. This thread is just an arguement waiting to turn into a full blown flame war. Topic locked.
2. This thread really didn't get off to a good start, the first part of this thread is debating about debating not the actual debate topic. In addition to that like Drix had mentioned in his first post, there is already a thread started about this subject. Let's not start a new thread when there is already a very popular thread on the front page about the very same subject.
3. Welcome to theOtakuBoards Gin-Kun. Please be aware that we have a rules page that all members are required to read before posting. The Rules and FAQ can also be found on the left navigation menu. We encourage people to introduce themselves within their posts as they enter discussions throughout the boards. We would rather that, than having a ton of introduction threads. If you have any questions please feel free to PM myself or any of the other moderators. Again, I welcome you to the boards and I hope to see you posting around the site. Have fun! ~Panda

Currently there is work underway to update that section of the site. Soon members will be able to delete their artwork, greetings and wallpapers they no longer want. Just be patient and the new update should be up and working soon. :D
5. I have had many stiches, broken bones, cuts, bruises and burns. The one for me that takes the cake would have to be getting my right index finger caught in the moving gears of a piece of farm equipment. Needless to say my finger was complete ground up and I had to have it amputated. I could go into graphic detail but I am pretty sure you can all imagine what it looked like after passing through gears.
6. Inuyasha Fandom don't ask for help on a message board and then lash out at those who tried to help you. Obviously this thread has run it's course.

8. Welcome to the OtakuBoards Darkish. Please do not bring back old threads. This thread was last posted on in October of 2003. It is better to start a new thread on a subject you feel would generate quality discussion than resurrect an old thread. ~Panda
9. My suggestion is to seek professional help. Find a counselor who can help you deal with your problems one-on-one versus seeking help on a message board of anime fans. Take care and hope you can work though this difficult time in your life. Suicide is not the answer, please seek professional help.
10. I don't think violent criminals should be allowed to re-enter society. They have done crimes that have violated other peoples' rights and because of that I think they have forfeited their rights to be apart of the same society as law abiding citizens. If a murderer is paroled where is the justice for the victim(s)? The victim(s) had a death sentence by this criminal and they will never get a second chance to re-enter society. Violent criminals should not be released onto our streets.

12. These types of threads degenerate fairly quickly. The types of posts we like to see on the OtakuBoards are ones that will generate quality discussions, the "ask a question" threads do not meet that criteria. I suggest that you look through past post for examples of both what is acceptable and what is not for threads on the OtakuBoards. Please feel free to PM me or any of the other moderators if you have any questions. Thanks. ~Panda
13. I agree with ghostlightning on Macross: DYRL. I am a fan of the Macross series and the fight scenes are truly amazing and visually exciting. The music adds to the excitement of the final battle. Definately animation you can't keep your eyes off of. Another film that I find absolutely beautiful is Vampire Hunter D : Bloodlust. The character design by Amano is breathtaking. The storyline and animation is blended seamlessly. The begining scene of the movie passing by the grave markers sets the pace for the entire film. Truly a work of art.

16. My mother-in-law is an elementary school librarian and you should hear the ruckus some of the parents make about the books in the library. One parent was totally offended because there was a book that mentioned the word "homosexual" in the library. Don't even mention anything about world religions unless you want to open up a messy can of worms! I remember a couple of years ago seeing a display of banned books at Barnes and Noble. I was quite suprised by some of the books on the display. I was expecting to see books like Tom Sawyer, Huck Finn, Joy of Sex, Go Ask Alice (Which I highly recommend!) and The Bible. Georgia O'Keefe's art book was on the table because of her suggestive "flower art". "In the Night Kitchen", a childrens book was banned because the main character looses his pajamas in his journey to the kitchen. Many, many books dealing with homosexuality were on the table. It is quite disturbing to see how closed minded people are. Just because it is published does not mean you have to buy it.
17. Ah, the wonderful joys of the DMV... The last time I was at the DMV I took a number and sat down in one of many empty chairs. I look around. There are 3 people sitting infront of computer monitors taking tests and 3 employees behind the counter. I was the only one sitting in the seats waiting to be helped. I look at the "Now Serving" sign and it says 50. I look down at my ticket that says 72! This brings up many questions. Where are the other people numbers 51 to 71? Why do I have to wait here if there is no one else waiting? After about 1/2 an hour my number came up...they just switched the sign until they hit the right number. I should have jumped up and yelled BINGO! Needless to say when my license renewal came up for this year I had the option of sending them a check and they would send me a sticker to put on the back of my expired license to extend it another 2 years I did just that. I really hate wasting my entire day at the DMV. On another government related note I had to go to a Social Security office and that was a bizarre situation. I find the area I needed and there is an armed guard there checking people in. Apparently the Federal building I was going into was the only one in the state to ever have a live bomb found in it! Needless to say I finished up my business as quickly as possible and tried to leave. I am at the elevator hitting the "down" button so I can get back to the main floor. After a little while the light turns off. I hit the button again and wait some more...you get the idea. Finally the guard comes out and he said to hit the "up" button to go down. I guess the buttons for the elevator for that floor were put in wrong. The guard told me it took him a couple of weeks to figure out what the deal was with that particular floor's elevator buttons. To quote him: "It's your tax dollars at work." I just gives you great confidence in the govenment when the buttons in the elevators in the Federal building don't work. :p
18.
That's wierd.
Vigaku, your response is considered spam on theOtakuBoards. Please re-read the Rules which are located on the left side navigation bar. Your responses need to have more substance. If you have questions about this please feel free to PM me or any of the other moderators on the site. On topic I would have to say this sounds like a crush to me. By no means am I an expert on relationships. I can say in my experience when I felt that way it was always with a crush, that feeling like you are just going to melt into the ground. When I first met my hubby I had a completely different feeling. It was a feeling like I knew he was the man I was going to spend my entire life with. It wasn't a giddy, butterfly feeling- but a warm comfortable feeling like being with a life-long best friend. I wish you the best of luck sorting out your feelings.

20. Well I am very happy for you Chibi! Congratulations! :D Why am I happy. I am generally a very happy person. In my group of friends I am always the one that makes everyone else laugh. Life is tough, there are many downs, but I try my best to look on the bright side of life. ::insert Monty Python song here:: Little things in life make me happy. I have a wonderful family that loves each other. I have great pets who keep me entertained and give me unconditional love. Living in my own house and being incharge of my life. These are a few of the things that make me happy. :D
21. One line posts are considered spam on the OtakuBoards. This topic isn't going to produce quality discussion so I am going to close this thread.
22. I was actually quite suprised by the episode Arkadyz mentioned. It isn't uncommon for
anime story lines to kill main characters, but I just wasn't expecting Cher's death in the episode. I let out a gasp when it happened. After everything Hubb and Cher had gone through to finally get things back on track, to have this happen was heartbreaking.
I think episodes like this one is the reason I enjoy watching Wolf's Rain so much. I actually care about what happens to the characters and want to see if they ever reach their destination of paradise.
23. This thread is going to cause poor post quality that I doubt will improve. It already is filled with one line posts, poor grammar/capitalization/punctuation, too many emoticons in a row and a double post. Please review the rules for the site and be sure to put effort into your responses. Thanks.
24. Everyone has given sound advice in this thread. It really does sound like it is time for you to move on. I agree with Kane that if you are having troubles moving on to seek professional help. It isn't healthy for you to continue dwelling on this one-sided relationship. Time heals broken hearts. I wish you the best of luck and hope you can work through this difficult chapter in your life.
25. Just a quick reminder to use proper grammar, capitalization and punctuation when responding to a thread. Hmm, do I try to go by my screen name? My screen name is my nickname and sometimes, especially on myO, I joke about being a panda but that is about it. I have been on message boards where people have adopted the "personality" of their screen name. Most of those seem to have very agressive posts and find their accounts banned fairly quickly. I assume they are doing this as a way to expressive themselves in a way they can't in their everyday life.
