1.
Actually, being a game-maker, I found this page and had the idea of using it to make a computer RPG using the program RPG MAKER 2003. The game would be called "Cliche" or something and it'd use every one of those cliches on that list... and then some. I might still do it.
Actually, that's not a bad idea. I'd definitely play it, if not for the sole purpose of trying to notice every one of the cliches in the game. Anyway, I read through the list last night and I really thought it was funny how pretty much all of them are true in most cases. There were some pretty funny ones as well. I also showed my friend who, having played a few more RPGs than I have, was able to relate even more of them to specific instances.
2.
200? ********. Even the full Gundam: Wing series is only 100 CDN. No way they could charge 200 for one movie. Ludicrous.
No way indeed. It is a standard DVD and will therefore come out at a standard price. They will not be charging $200 for a DVD any time soon. I see $50 at the very most and that's only if they decide to sell a collector's edition DVD.
3. Oh, well that makes things much simpler. Just go to Start -> All Programs -> Accessories -> System Tools -> System Restore. Follow the on screen instructions and chose a date before the computer started acting up from the calendar and you should be fine.
4. Hmm... that's a good question. I just reread your post and realized that you're using Windows 2000. I'll look into a way to doing it on 2000 but I'm not sure if it's possible.
5. I'm not sure what's causing that to happen but I'd recommend using System Restore and going back to the day before you first tried to use the flash drive. Then, just wait a couple of days and see if the problem persists.
6.
:animestun confusing.[/size']
One word posts are considered spam.
There was a thead about this a while back. It wasn't too long ago, so I don't really see a necessity for this thread. But I'm not a mod, so I think I'll shut up?
There was indeed and only from a couple of months ago so I think I'll merge them. I tried to find see if it was a duplicate thread the first time I saw this but the search was going to slow so I gave up at the time. As for the movie, I really enjoyed it. I wasn't sure how I'd like the whole mostly black and white thing but they did a good job with it. It really made for an interesting looking movie.
8.
I'm feeling really good about my decision at this point, and I know it was best. I have found peace with it, with some thanks to this thread.
I'm glad you're able to feel good with your decision. I think it's great you were able to make that decision and I wish you and your child luck for the future. I'm sure he'll be perfectly happy with his family.
9. Please do not resurrect old threads. This one is over a year old. Thread closed.
10. It's a hit counter. Usually, you wouldn't see anything but if something goes wrong (in this case, the code for it was changed), it will end up displaying something like you saw there. It's nothing to worry about though and the problem seems to be fixed. Edit: It would appear that Baron Samedi beat me to the answer.
11. What do you use to create zipped folders? If it's something like WinZip, have you checked to make sure it's still installed? Also, are you sure the icons haven't just changed? Sometimes, that can happen and it will look like zipped folders are regular folders (though it can happen with any icons).
12. Linking to sites that offer downloads of songs (or any copyrighted material for that matter) which you do not pay for is against OtakuBoards' rules. If you would like to discuss Slow Roosevelt, feel free to create another thread. Just don't ask for free music. Thread closed.

xenosaga OST

Distributing illegal content (ie, animes which one did not pay for) is against OtakuBoards' rules. If you want Xenosaga that badly, maybe you should go buy it. Thread closed.
14. I'm with you. I've never really put too much thought into genres. I've just gone with an "If I like it, I'll listen to it" kind of approach to most of my music. I've really never felt the need to describe the music I listen to with paragraph long genre titles (not to say that people who do so are wrong).
15. Well you mentioned RPGs/Co-op games so I'm assuming you wouldn't mind a non-RPG suggestion? If so, I'd suggest Halo/Halo 2. They both have a co-op campaign mode which is really fun to play through with a friend. Plus, the game actually adjusts itself to compensate for two people by adding more enemies and doing other things to make it more challenging. Of course, you do need an Xbox for this suggestion to work ^_^

OB Staff?

Don't forget, the layout is being updated so there may yet be a link on the left.
17. I had no idea. This just happened tonight? I really don't know what to say... Though I guess it's pretty hard to respond to this quickly seeing as I wasn't really expecting it.
18. I would recommend doing the same thing I recommended to Zeekan. Just try completely uninstalling MSN Messenger, restarting the computer, and reinstalling it. Sometimes, virus scanners remove parts of other programs (usually because the virus changed them in some way) and reinstalling restores those parts.
19. Envy-sama, Lindus is right. If you would like to talk about genres, please use this thread. You really didn't answer your own question in your post which usually leads to many spammy replies. And Lindus, sorry this had to be closed because your reply was fine. If you wanted to continue the discussion, you could start your own thread (as long as your post provokes discussion, as this one did). Thread closed.
20.
While I know this has become the "Help Ms. Roxie" thread, I was hoping someone can help me with my peculiar problem. ;) Lately, I've made a ton of system changes. I unfortunately didn't keep track of them. I installed and uninstalled a lot of programs for the sake of checking them out. Then my work went into overtime and I didn't use my computer enough to notice a problem that could have been there for months (who browses their computer files anyway?). Anyway, whenever I use windows explorer, it works for a while and then freezes up. If I wait like, twenty minutes, it'll unfreeze (and then freeze later), but usually I have to ctrl-alt-delete it. It happens more frequently if I put the window out of focus for a while. Is there anything I could do to fix this minor nuisance aside from a full, unadulterated format?
Hehe, the "Help Ms. Roxie" thread. I think we can still find some time to help you out too ^_^ There are a couple of things I need to know though. First, what operating system are you using? Next, how long has it been since you started making these system changes? The reason I ask the second is because what I'm going to recommend (system restore) will require reverting your settings back to a day or two before you started making these changes. Don't worry though, you won't lose files or anything like that. It will just revert program changes and registry files.
Hello, OtakuBoards. I installed Firefox last year after getting annoyed at IE, not that IE was exceptionally bad, it was just some members in my family had intsalled so many of those "useful" toolbars that it took up half the screen! Anyway, it's been really good up until a point last week where I discovered that a malicious trojan was clugging up my CPU memory and grinding my computer to a halt, I ran a search for the thing and deleted it, but ever since Firefox has been running slow, mostly when I start it up it's refusing to show the homepage for several minutes. The trojan I found and deleted was called rlvknlg.exe and I'm wondering if I did something wrong, You see, I delted the .exe file myself without the aid of Nortons since our registration has run out, I'm wondeirng if that messed up Firefox, everything else runs as smooth as. I've tried upgrading to the lates firefox but it still has the startup glug. Is there a possibility that the trojan was not deleted and has started taking revenge? of is there something else I need to do. If you can help me restore my FireFox you'll be my friend for life. ;) Thankyou for your time *nods graciously* EDIT: Apparently a couple of random thigns tend to help it start up, iether I scroll my mouse wheel fast, or swap between browser tabs or programs, wierd huh? Current FireFox edition: 1.0.6
The first thing I'd try is just completely uninstalling Firefox, restarting the computer, and then re-installing Firefox. This could be all you need to do if you haven't tried it already. Otherwise, do you by any chance know when the trojan process started showing up? If you do, you could use System Restore to go back to a couple days before you got the trojan and avoid it to begin with. Edit: Heh, didn't realize the double-post there until just now. I must have hit submit at the same time as someone else and then saw the new post and replied to that as well ^_^ Oh well, it's fixed now. Sorry about that.
21.
And what very good reaosn would that be?
Yes, I was quite curious about that one myself.
22. My favorites are a couple of songs from the older game. I really like Burning Heat (which is a remix of the original Gradius [Sega Genesis] theme song) and Ready, Steady, Go (which has also been featured in a number of movies including Collateral and The Bourne Identity. There are a couple of others but those are my favorites.
23.
I certainly wasn't saying it's the only option, but I personally don't want to agree for Google and whoever else to be able to trace sites I visit and whatever else that's listed in the agreement you need to check off before installing it lol. As far as I'm concerned that's spyware people are (hopefully) knowingly agreeing to. I'd rather avoid it entirely. Oh well, at least your computer works. I hope it stays that way.
Actually, you opt-in to the tracing of sites. You can check off not to participate which will keep you from sending any information to Google at all. Plus, spyware is (usually) two sided. One side collects your information (and sometimes personally identifiable information, whereas Google does not), and the other uses that information to bombard you with popups and other unneeded things. Though sometimes, it is just to collect information so I can see where you'd be skeptical. MistressRoxie, I'm not really sure why that would happen. The first thing I'd do is make sure the card is installed right (just check to see if it's pushed in all the way). Next, I'd try to find the latest drivers for it. Windows Update would be a good place to start unless the manufacturer has a website where you can download them from. Finally, try unplugging the computer completely and leave it like that for a few minutes (five should be enough). Then try plugging it back in, turning it on, and running shut-down again. I'll look more into this and if I find a solution, I'll be sure to tell you.

i ned help

This thread is also in the PC/Mac forum here. Maybe they should be moved/merged? Now, for music, it's sort of the same as a background. In this case, you'll need to find the midi you want and have somewhere you can upload it to yourself because places like Imageshack are for images only. Once you have it uploaded, go to Edit Profile and scroll down to the bottom. From there, you can add music to your site by putting the URL of the song into the URL textbox.
