I prefer Pepsi though I'll drink either when I actually drink soda. I actually found that out by taking the Pepsi Challenge though. Though the best part of that was the little crackers they gave you before each drink ^_^ I do like both but it was Pepsi I picked in the Pepsi Challenge (which isn't rigged in any way, in case you're wondering, because my brother [and many other people] picked Coke ^^).

Yeah Des, that really is incredible that you have that much right now. You were a huge help with my Warrior's armor but I was actually able to get the Ranger's armor myself with what I had saved up (though not anywhere near that much...).

I'm not really sure what you're asking. Mangas are books so they don't really have sound effects in them. Are you sure you don't mean something else?

Avenged Sevenfold, Simple Plan, Good Charloette, Hatebreed

I'm not sure I really see the point of this thread. Your title shows four different bands yet in your post, you asked people for their favorite band. It wasn't clear if you wanted their favorite among the four or if you just felt like listing your favorite four bands in the title. At this point, it really doesn't seem like this thread is going to go anywhere. Thread closed. -
My first manga was the first and second volumes of .hack//Legend of the Twilight. At the time, I had just really started getting into the .hack//SIGN anime and it was getting close to Christmas. My dad is usually pretty good with some really random surprises and that year was no exception. On one of his comic book runs in the city, he saw the two .hack mangas (the third hadn't been released yet but he did preorder it months in advance for me) and picked them up thinking I might like them. And he was right ^_^
In the future you really need to research what you're downloading more... I've never even heard of that pop-up blocker. If you hate pop-ups, you might be best off downloading a different browser like Firefox, which should work on your computer no problem. If you get stuff like Microsoft Anti-Spyware, AdAware or Spybot Search & Destroy it sounds like most of the problems you typically have would be avoided.
Switching browsers isn't the only option. I use the Google Toolbar which has a built in pop-up blocker. It does work pretty well though will sometimes get confused and block requested pop-ups (though you can just hold Ctrl and re-click the link if this happens). Plus, it also adds a search bar to IE which makes it easier to search instead of having to go to the Google homepage. And, if you don't use Google, Yahoo and MSN both have toolbars as well. But yes, things like Microsoft Anti-Spyware and the rest of the software mentioned above would probably be a good idea to get (though I'm not entirely sure if Microsoft Anti-Spyware will run on 98).

It wounds like it's time for System Restore. I just hope there's a restore point early enough that she doesn't lose too much. I think I was actually going to walk her through this at some point but she didn't have enough time. Either way, it will be easier to do on AIM if you'd like the help. If the need arises, I'll type out a full explanation here but AIM would make things simpler.

I was never saying that what they did was wrong, only looking at the situation from more than one perspective. I agree that they should have had the right to do what they did with no penalty at all. It's just too bad that wasn't the case...
k this is my question: if inuyashas demon blood is held back by the tetsusaiga then why, before he got the tetsusaiga, wasnt he all demon-ish (sorry couldnt think of any other way to say it) any way if anyone has an explanation please tell me :animeangr *keke*
You pretty much answered your own question. His sword keeps his demon blood at bay. Before he got the sword, his demon blood was free to take over and therefore, he looked a lot more like a full demon. That's at least how I viewed it anyway. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong.

Baron, you said exactly what I was trying to say in a much better way. And Patronus, I don't think anyone is blaming the boys for doing what they did, only pointing out the fact that it was a punishable offence in their country and that they knew that at the time.

This thread isn't really getting anywhere. All of the replies have been lists and there has been no discussion nor has any explanation of the choices been given. Also, there was another thread like this one here which was closed for the same reason. If you are going to post a favorites thread, please be sure to explain why you picked your choices so it gives others a chance to discuss your choices as well as explain a few of their own. Thread closed.

While I don't agree with what was done to those young men, Gavin is in a way, right. I don't agree with his entire view because I don't feel that it is an unfortunate consequence of their actions nor do I feel it was inevitable. I do feel that they knowingly broke the law though. The real matter at hand is that there shouldn't be a law against homosexuality to begin with. Though in a way, if someone were to commit a crime in the United States, you would expect the person(s) who committed it to be punished wouldn't you? We don't question that it is against the law to rob a bank here and I guess that most people just accept the law that you can't be a homosexual there. These two men did not accept the law. The difference here is that they shouldn't have to accept it to begin with. And I'm going to stop here because I think I just sort of contradicted myself...

The Legend of Zelda (and the rest of the games in that series) aren't even RPGs. They are classified as Action/Adventure. Sure, there is a story and you do take on the role of someone else but it is not an RPG. As for the best among the others, I really haven't played any of them though my friend said Star Ocean was good.
Halo was more about skill, as everyone started with the best weapon, the pistol.
I'm not sure how starting with the best weapon shows you have skill. True skill comes when you have a terrible weapon but still manage to do well. Sure, Halo 2 is a rush for the rockets, sword, and sniper but that in itself takes some skill too. You have to know the fastest way to get there and then if you're beaten, you need to know how to get back what you just lost. Unbalanced weapons are natural. The game would be terrible if the pistol and rocket launcher did the same damage. Of course some are better than others but it's really a matter of what you are good with. If you can do well no matter what weapon you're using, that's skill - not starting with the best weapon right at the beginning. And to confirm that, there are training matches on Xbox live in Halo 2 in which you can play some pretty random game types. One of them is Rumble Rockets (which you may actually be able to get in ranked games too). Now you said it takes skill for everyone to start with the best weapon right? Well Rumble Rockets takes no skill whatsoever. You run around and fire at whatever moves. Then, you get blown up out of nowhere. Do you see what I'm getting at?
I'll probably make an announcement about this feature once I've finished fixing up a few bits and pieces on the site. So this is a good reminder to pay attention to site-wide announcements. ~_^ People will have the opportunity to get involved with this new forum before it even opens, so hopefully that will give me an early indication of who might be interested. But yes, the forum's purpose is not really a secret - it's a forum for online gaming communities. However, it is not a regular discussion forum. Gaming clans/groups can go through a simple application process to acquire their own personal sub-forum within The Nexus. This should be useful for start-up clans and groups who don't have the resources to build their own forum. The application process will be very simple and easy, so it shouldn't deter anyone.
I'm assuming QKT will have its own forum then too? I really think that would help to gather up members for upcoming Guild Battles or other guild wide events. Either way, this new forum already sounds like a great idea.

I must say, using an equation to explain your views on the subject was very original ^_^ And I tend to agree with what you're saying. We're getting more locked topics because we're getting more bad ones. And that's really a result of just getting a lot more members.

If you want to get a lot of the basics in one place (and really learn how to use them), you can check out a tutorial site made by Adam (myOtaku's web master). Just click this link to get there. Also, it would be easier to help you if you were a little more specific with what you want done on your site. Saying something general like "help me customize it" isn't enough information. But for starters, check out that HTML tutorial and if you haven't already, go to the Edit Styles section of your Backroom. There are a bunch of color changes you can do right from there. And in the Post Styles section, you can change how your posts look, even without knowing HTML (though you can achieve some better effects if you take the time to learn the HTML basics).

Well if you haven't noticed yet, Liquid is currently being updated. And adding new styles to a forum like this is not as simple as just clicking a button. A lot of time and work needs to be put into adding a new theme.

If you look back in this thread, James has mentioned that these images are not all the final versions yet and some of them are just place holders. I'm sure he'll do what needs to be done in changing around the remaining, unchanged images.

I haven't been here as long as some of you have but from what I've been seeing, there really isn't a decline in post quality. There are the threads that get closed for lack of content or various other reasons but they are far outnumbered by the many good threads that can be found all over OtakuBoards.

I've been playing a lot recently actually. It really is a fun game to play online and while sometimes, stuff happens that can be really annoying (like sticking a sword through someone without them dieing), it doesn't happen often enough to really degrade from the game. I do have a quick question though. The title of this thread is Halo: Combat Evolved and the general topic seems to be Halo 2. Did we just go off topic or was this supposed to be for Halo 2? As for the original Halo, I thought that was really a great game. It was just generally fun to play and was far from the ordinary shooter (in terms of looks anyway). Playing through it on Legendary was a bit easier than doing so in Halo 2 also so that made for some fun but still challenging cooperative playthroughs.

I'm not really sure what would cause that to happen but a defragment would never hurt. Another thing you might want to check though is how much of your computer's resources you're using when you're doing what you normally do when it crashes, though I'm not if you can do that the same way in 2000 as you can in XP though.

Yes, you forget the end of your embed tag for the flash game as well as the entire tag. Just reply here if you need me to be more specific.

I'd just like to say that I like this new theme for OB! The changes are very subtle but I really do like the look. There's just something about the slightly changed images that caught my eye right away (which was a good thing in this case). Nice job ^_^
I recommended it.. and said how to do it in my post before last.. I think Fatel skipped over it... or something. ^_^ That's how I fixed my last comp problem.
Yeah, I noticed. It was a good suggestion because as I said in a previous post, rebuilding should really be a last resort. Safe mode has a chance to at least show what the problem is.
