I have an update on volume 3 of the .hack manga! I just found out yesterday that it is definitely being released in August (when it was originally supposed to be released). They kept changing things on the website so I got confused but I know this for a fact now because it is on order at a comic book store called Midtown Comics in NYC.

I use an AV switch too. If the problem is as simple to fix as that, it's worth the $20. If that doesn't fix it, at least you now have a game switch. It is very helpful when trying to connect multiple systems to one TV.

I don't really know how much different they can make it. The design they had as the prototype seemed to be the best way to incorporate two screens. They might just change the look of it a little or maybe the placement of certain things.
-
That seems like it would make sense. It could be that they're also not changing anything and just figured the design for the Game and Watch game was the best one for two screens. Who knows? We'll find out soon enough.
-
It's just not ready yet. If I remember correctly, they haven't finished volume 3 in Japan so it isn't even here to be translated first. We'll have to wait until it's finished in Japan, then translated here before we see it.

Could be an actual Xbox problem. I'm not sure what would cause it but you can check to see if it is by just playing something else for the same amount of time.
-
Oh ok. Guess I just sort of misunderstood the question. Though if you think about, it isn't really that odd. They did make the new GBA in the style of the NES controller so it isn't all that uncommon for them to do something like that again.

Thanks for the link. I'll go check it out. As for your Game and Watch question, could they have done it on purpose? They brought back Mr. Game and Watch in Smash Bros. Melee after all. They might have gotten the design for DS from the Game and Watch.

Ok. I didn't realize it would have fit in this topic after reading a bit at the top or I would have just posted here to begin with. Sorry about that.

That link was helpful. Although I couldn't read a single word on the page, the pictures really showed some promising results from the PSP. I had only seen one picture of an actual game being played up to this point and it looked good too but some of these really do look great. Know of any sites where I can find pictures of the DS in action (for comparison purposes)?

The Tokyopop website hasn't been rite in the release date for a while. I just found out recently from a store that sells them in NYC that the third volume has been "postponed indefinitely." It's still being worked on in Japan so it will be a while until it's published here.

That would be interesting. I remember that episode. He ended up shooting them with a dart gun (the toy one that the little kid had). He ends up using it later too. I know what you mean though. He is a sort of weird pacifist but he's a pacifist none the less.
-
That's a good point. You do lose the ability to link a DS to a GBA. It would still be a nice feature though. I don't remember now, which one did you say you would pick? Oh and by the way, when I mentioned sending messages (like AIM), I didn't mean actually using the AIM service. It is just like direct text messages between the players in the game.

I agree with you there. They to take it to a bit of an extreme sometimes but that's one of the things I like about the show. The fact that it does go from comedy to a gun battle. That is probably why some people don't like it though.
-
Oh ok. This I didn't know. I didn't see your post before. I just have one question about linking with the old games though. Do you think they will make it so you can link and play multi-player with the old games wirelessly? Just wondering.

This thread is just something I made to see what people think of Vash from Trigun. Here's what made me think of it: I know a lot of people who don't like Trigun. Now, some of them just don't like the story but most of them don't like it because of Vash. They say he's "too stupid." Here's what I think though. He may act stupid but he most definitely isn't. Think about it. He has a $$60 billion bounty on his head and has had it for a while. If he was really that stupid, would he still be alive? Here's another point. He has made it this long without killing anyone. He must be pretty smart if he can have the best shot known to man yet still not kill a single person. (Actually, I'm not sure, maybe he did kill some people but the number is still very low). My question to you is this: What do you think of Vash? Do you like him? Do you think he's stupid as many people I know do?
Backwards compatibility was a huge factor for PS2. And if Xenon does arrive next year, then it's essentially going to be cutting Xbox's life somewhat short. Backwards compatibility would make sense -- particularly in the Japanese market. So, if Microsoft is indeed cutting that feature, it's going to hurt on some level, especially if Revolution and PS3 contain the ability. However, you can bet that Xenon will have a really cool Xbox Live capability out of the box. It'll no doubt be far more Xbox Live focused.
I completly agree with you here. If they cut that feature and release it next year, it won't help them much. Xbox isn't really that old yet and without backwards compability, people will either have to keep both systems to play their Microsoft based games or will just forget about the Xbox all together leaving Nintendo and Sony more room to make more money on GameCube and PS2.

Nintendo may not plan to make anything to go online bot don't forget that not all DS games will be made by Nintendo themselves. Other companies may support the feature. The other thing that I found interesting that I forgot to mention before was the fact that there are two game slots. One for the new stuff and one for everything from GBA and before. I got my information here so that's what I'm basing everything I say on. My point with the online games was not trying to say that customers want it, just to say that it may be supported. I think it would be an interesting feature to be able to play multi-player games online. This is just an assumption from reading but it may not be an "online" game. It may just give you the ability to play multi-player games (like Four Swords for instance, though this is just an example) over the internet. I could very easily be wrong with this assumption and if anyone has any fact to disprove me, please share it with me. I'd like to gather as much information as I can on the subject. I'm also not saying that the PSP doesn't look like it might be good (especially after hearing the wireless support for it as well). I'm just saying that I think DS will be better.
I like this anime its real good but not that original. The artwork could be better but all in all it's ok. my favorite character in .hack//dusk would have to be the character that can transform into a wolf even though I'm beginning to suspect she's an ingame creature kind of like Mia from the PS2 games. What do you all think do you agree?
First, I'd just like to say that Ouka is a real person playing the game. Now I have only seen a couple of the episodes but I did read the .hack//Legend of the Twilight manga which is what the .hack//Legend of the Twilight anime is based on. That leads me to my next question. Has anyone read the manga here? I'm wondering because the shows events are directly from it. This is how I know Ouka is a real person. Over all, I'm happy that they made the manga an anime too. I have known this was coming for a long time now. I was just glad to finally see it released.

To save as a .gif, just click File -> Save for Web. To save as something like .jpg, click File -> Save. Now where it says Photoshop (*.PSD,*.PDD), drop down that menu and you can see the other choices. I'm using Photoshop CS (it's basically Photoshop 8) and I know this works in it. I don't remember if it works in 6 or 7 but if it doesn't, instead of clicking Save, just use Save As and you'll be fine.

Beyond any shadow of a doubt, Nintendo DS. There are far to many reasons to list for my choice so I'll name the main ones. First of all, nothing is really drawing me to the PSP. There is nothing all too amazing about it especially when compared to the DS. The DS offers two screens, one of which is a touch screen, wireless multi-player gaming (16 locally and future support for unlimited over the internet). That's rite - over the internet. It will support all 802.11 standards as well as the Nintendo communication system which means if you have a wireless LAN, you can play online. Finally, the ability to send messages (like AIM) during gameplay. One screen can be used for gameplay while the other can be used to chat (for example if you're out of the current round for some reason). I'll admit that the PSP has some nice looking graphics but if that's the entire selling point, so does DS but with more and better features.

I'm personally looking foward to any new Zelda game released. I have been a huge fan of the Zelda series for a long time and I loved Wind Waker. I haven't really heard any news other than in this forum but I also haven't really looked. Also, in refrence to the quote below by Leumas Loch, Wind Waker was in my opionion, one of the greatest games I have played in a while. It isn't the graphics that matter and if that is what you base your games on, I would take the advice given below and give away your Game Cube because a truly loyal Zelda fan would not just avoid buying a game because they changed the graphics. The music, game play, and battles were all done amazingly and personally, I thought the graphics change was an interesting twist.
