Around girls I like, I sometimes talk to fast. As i'm speaking I won't look them in the eyes either, I'll glance in them for a second and be like 'omg!' and turn away(well my eyes anyway). Sometimes if i'm asked a question, that I sure as hell know the answer to, I'll draw a complete blank. Making myself look busy, or working at a faster pace in front of that person happens as well. I guess I'm wierd lol. Most of the girls I know have some similar interests, I just need to find that one that plays video games(and has heard of Harvest Moon), likes watching movies and anime, and likes going on picnics ^_^;;

what if the vanetians defeated the ancient greeks?
Endymion replied to Miryoku's topic in General Discussion
I agree with Sol-Blade that the Phoenicians were never really embroiled in war with the Greek City-states. Spartans would've layed some serious damage army-wise, while the Athenian navy would've crushed any naval might the Phoenicians could muster. But if the Greeks somehow got decimated, either by foreign invasion or natural disasters or if Zeus said 'die', the world would probably be different than what it is today. As Sol-Blade said, we wouldn't have seen the likes of the great empire of Rome. (Which would suck, because the Greco-Roman ages are my favorite in history) Before the imperium was established the Romans had a senate, which was based from Greek, mainly Athenian ideas of democracy. It helped push democratic ideas towards future use. An empire rose from what was once ruled by a senate, and an it was truly magnificent how the Romans handled things. An expansive set of stone highways helped trade and military movement. Intricate military tactics and a standardized training regime for soldiers(at least until the empire started to crumble). Anyway...if Greece somehow got obliterated, then Rome wouldn't have been the Rome we know of today, and so on and so forth. :p -
What would you classify your clothing style as?
Endymion replied to ChibiHorsewoman's topic in General Discussion
I don't really know how to classify my style of dress. I work alot, so I'm usually in a pair of khakies with either a black or white sleeve collar shirt with the wrists folded up, feels comfortable that way for some reason. A majority of my home time I sit around in my flannel pajamas. If I go out after work, I usually don't have time to change so I still wear my work clothes, I like wearing them anyway. My casual non-work clothes include khakis or jeans, with a t-shirt and either an unbuttoned collared tee or long sleeve shirt...plus my classic franchise boston hat.. -
Democracy and Communism both have their good points and their bad ones I suppose. Democracy seemed to work out in ancient Greece, mainly Athens. The United States, a republic, was based on democratic ideals. Communism, when perfectly engineered, I guess would seem nice, but there are what, 3 communist nations left? North Korea and Cuba, and then China, but China in its booming economic machine is becoming less communist. Personally, I distaste communist nations, and wouldn't mind laying some democratic values on 'em. So as for this discussion, 'Democracy or Communism?', I would have to follow a democracy. Bandai Entertainment I believe. The first dvd was released recently and the next one is due out soon. The manga(the two that there are) have been out longer than the dvds, at least in my area. My lazy butt hasn't picked up the 2 manga for Onegai Twins yet, even though it would only cost me about $16 lol

David Bowie rocks. Not only is a majority of his music great, hes got this 'omfg i'm cool' aura that is pretty close to the truth. I think he was awesome in Labyrinth. That wierd sci-fi jig he used to do was cool too. The interesting costume that looked like a big swirl or a target...I forgot

I eat fast food constantly. I mean, it's not like I skip out on meals my mom makes, I eat that stuff too. I work in a mall so the food court is always appealing. The alluring scents from Wendy's are all but easy to turn away from. I think Wednesday evening I had a triple quarter pounder with cheese, biggie fries, biggie drink, and 4 jr. cheeseburger deluxes. It was super yummy. Then I went home (because this was after work) and ate the spaghetti my mom made. I only had like 3 bowls vs. my usual more than 3. Anyway, back to the point, I eat fast food alot. I try balancing it out by eating a chicken caesar salad twice a week. I buy one of those big backs of Caesar salad mix and a thing of Perdue pre-cooked chicken pieces, throw it all together and eat it covered in Caesar dressing. I think the Caesar dressing takes away from the healthiness. You're probably thinking "OMG, it's Jabba the Hutt," but I'm not big at all. I usually run in the mornings, well not in winter because I like my body to not freeze, but I do situps/crunches and push ups fairly often. I'm not captain tall either. I'm about 5'8" and weigh a healthy 130ish pounds. I love my high metabolism.

They proportions might be a little off...I didn't rough draft with a skeleton or anything, I just freehanded it in pen. I think I was too lazy to get up to find a pencil. If you want I can post some of my 90% asleep scribbled pics from during my classes...Drawing keeps me slightly awake. If I bother taking notes, you'll see where I fall asleep and see the sentence unfinished and the last letter i wrote with a line down the page...I can post some better work when I find my artbook. Finding it is like looking for the Holy Grail. I need my Deedlit sketches...actually did them in pencil and they're the only nice things(in my eyes) i've drawn, lol.
Slade IS batman. He must be. They were on Wayne enterprises, they know each others moves, Slade wants to tain him it all adds up.
I think it was mentioned before that Slade is based off a villain from the comic book series...possibly. Slade is too wicked to be Batman anyway.
Especially when he uses the girl with the earth-linked powers, Terra. She doesn't end up killed, but she's solid rock now...Not a Batman thing to do...
Anyway, I really enjoy the series when I'm able to catch an episode between sleep and work. Raven, Starfire and Robin seem to be my favorite characters. I'm not too fond of Beast Boy and Cyborg, but they do have their good moments.
I thought it was cool when Robin was 'Red X' as well...
Anyway you look at it, from my perspective, its a good, if not great series.

It was the average evening, talking to Dark Serena until my body's tiredness told me to drag myself to bed. We talked about about art and stuff and I ventured on the 3rd crusade into my attic in an effort to locate my lost art book. The crusade ended in failure. So I sketched a self image of myself and Serena thought it humorous, which was my intent. Then came 3:30 am. My body deprived of energy and caffeine, yet the need to stay up and talk to Serena kept my energy-less husk moving. I drew her a quick picture...my beautiful 3:30 am picture...

At the end of the world, where will you be?
Endymion replied to Doukeshi's topic in General Discussion
At the end of the world, where will I be? It depends on the means of ending. If the end of the world came by hands of some extra-terrestrial force bent on the eradicatio of humanity, then I would probably flip them off and use guerrilla tactics to pick them off. That is of course if they don't choose to use planetary bombardment as a means of our demise. Then I would just have to flip them off as some sort of beam vaporized me. If the end of the world came by the means of thermo-nuclear war perpetuated by our own race, then I would hope the shallow hole I dig is good enough either as a shelter or a grave as the explosion turns me into particles. I don't think I'd like to be in a sea of LCL either...anyway...whatever end, I'll be there to stand against it. *imagines getting into a gundam, getting ready to fight the final battle for Earth..or something* Darn fantasies :D -
I'll consider buying Pearl or Diamond afer I do some research on the games, and with the pokes and prods from Dark Serena. She's got good taste in games for the most part. (Harvest Moon rocks!) I think I'll stick with my Red and Blue versions for now...

I would love to receive the really cool fleece Spiderman 2 blanket I saw at the place I work. I would also like a Boston Red Sox woven throw I've seen at the same mall. Hmmm...what else could I want... I would ask if the Spiderman 2 dvd, but I'm buying that tomarrow when I cash my paycheck. I'll ask my dad for Berserk! manga. He'll either get it for me or himself lol. Random anime dvds, soundtracks, mini-figurines for my computer area. Non-anime dvds would be good as well. Santa...I've been a good boy this year! I suppose everyone at one point in their lives gets a feeling of rejection. I'm sure I've felt rejected before when I was really young, moving around alot in a military family. My largest feeling of rejection, though, came with the abrupt end of my last relationship. Not only did her bed of lies and deceit immediately move her position as the closest person to me to the farthest, my friends she and I affiliated drifted away as well, as if they new of the impending destruction of my heart. Anyway...I'm over it now, some wounds just take time to heal.

My dream job would definitely be the writer of an amazing and highly successful book series or comic book series. With the fanbase created by such outrageously good work, there could be conventions and festivals made every year in my honor.

Most painful ([physically painful) experiance ever
Endymion replied to ChibiHorsewoman's topic in General Discussion
My most painful experience occured on a day very similar to days that had just passed. Went to school, my health started to degrade, and went to work, where my health continued its free fall. There were sharp pains kneading in my side. It hurt. Right when I got home I went to bed. Went to school the next day, came home from school, complained to my parents about the increasing pain, and feel right asleep on the couch. When I woke up the next day I went to see the doctor. The doctor sent me to a surgeon. The surgeon sent me to the hospital. I had to get dressed in that little paper gown. Then the power got cut off. So I had to get dressed and get ready to go to another hospital, but as I tied my shoes the power came back. I had to then re-paper dress myself. I got on one of those pushy bed things, and they carted me to the anesthesiologist(sp?) and he jammed a needle into my arm which hurt more than my side. Told me to count from 100 on back. I got to 98 and was outcold right afterward. Turns out my appendix was close to exploding. Not the most good feeling in the world. -
Magical Shopping Arcade Abenobashi was pretty wierd to me when my dad first introduced it to me. As the series progressed, it still kind of kept its strange randomness. I enjoyed it. Then comes Super Milk-chan. I watched 2 episodes of it and never watched another. That series is just too strange for me. I really really really disliked it. I may just have to form a coalition against it.

Is anyone planning on going to the Big Apple Animefest in 2005. It got canceled this year due to the Republican National Convention absorbing much New York City's resources. I was disappointed in not being able to go, but its given me more time to work on my costume. Well...even though it's given me more time, I'm still being captain lazy. Anyway, if a few people from OB go, we should walk around like a gang of sorts. ^_^
That is proof enough for me that my religion is correct.
Your religion is correct eh? I don't think such statements should come into a play in a thread called 'what do you think of death'. You could say that if the topic was 'what religion is correct?!' Tauting religious superiority is a bit shallow. Saying that your religion is correct is like saying everyone who isn't muslim is wrong. Anyway, I don't really think of death. It could be the end, it might not be. My body will decompose for sure, unless I'm frozen or buried in peat. It would be cool to just 'wake up' and be in some fantasy world. But hey, let people think what they want...

I think 'Anime' music is great, as Solo Tremaine described it. Diversities depending on moods and scenes helps give the musical pieces almost a life of its own. I think Anime Soundtracks take up 70-80% of my music selection in my car. Initial D soundtracks can make me speed sometimes though :smirk: . Only a select few American music CDs have a place in my car *evil laugh*. My dad really enjoys 'Anime' music as well. He's got quite a collection going for him, though his is still overshadowed by mine. I think I've got like 30ish CDs to his 5-10. Anyway, music in Anime rocks.

I would have to agree with you all, that The Venture Brothers is a great show. I think my favorite episode is when Dr. Venture has the yard sale,
and one of The Monarch's henchmen buys a lightsaber created by the doc. When all hell breaks loose, the henchman stands before Brock ready for battle with his new weapon, only to find out that it doesn't actually cut through anything. :D
There are so many good episodes, I don't think I've seen a bad one. Can't say the same for Sealab 2021, I think the quality went downhill after the 2nd season. The Venture Brothers is the highlight of my Adultswim viewing, Family Guy is a close second in favoritism.

Though Toy Story is my favorite Pixar movie, The Incredibles is a close second. I've never really liked anything from Pixar since TS, but the idea of The Incredibles had enough lure to get me to see it...twice actually.
I didn't expect Incredi-boy to be Syndrome later on, kinda caught me by suprise.
I really enjoyed the storyline and found Frozone one of my favorite characters.
Yelling at his wife, asking for where his super suit was one of the funniest parts of the film.
It's about time, to me, that Pixar actually made a good movie since Toy Story...

I have quite a few habits that would probably be considered bad. Insomnia might be a bad habbit I guess. I don't think I go to bed until 3am or later, I just feel like there's something better to do with my time. But then there is contrary habit. I'll be sitting on campus in my nice little classroom, and the teacher will be babbling on about stuff that I already know and find frivilous to be teaching to college students, so I'll either draw pictures and cartoons instead of taking notes, or I will go to dream land. I've actually devised the perfect position to not get caught. When people talk to me, sometimes I'm figuring out how the surrounding area could turn into a cool action scene with music and everything. Then the people are like 'right?' and im like 'um...can you repeat that?' Sometimes they get mad. *shrug* I'm a bit of a perfectionist, but I guess that's good for my job.
