OOC: Sorry about my posting delay, everyone (but mostly ULX and Blayze). I'll have it up in a day or two. See, ULX? I told you I can't be trusted schedule-wise...hehe. ^ ^; Working on that post, Dane

OOC: Just so you know, Blayze, Abaddon isn't the leader of the Myrkur Aniol's Seraphim...he doesn't even want to be. That'd be Michael, followed by Uriel, Gabriel, then Abaddon as fourth. I'll cover it though. ^ ^ Happy hunting! ------------------------------------------------------ "I bring news, lord Abaddon." A lithe, travel-weary messenger Myrkur kneeled at Abaddon's feet. Removing his coat, Abaddon placed his longsword on his bed as he prepared to equip his old battle-armor. "News? Not much can be learned on the last eve before battle. Nevertheless, proceed." "Lekishal is dead, sir. Murdered...by Zuriel." The vampire's voice seemed to choke in the last part of the message. "Who...?" "An upstart Myrkur, Abaddon..." replied Uriel, entering Abaddon's chambers behind the messenger. Placing a hand on the page's shoulder calmly, he bid him leave. When they were alone, Uriel proceeded to hand Abaddon new pieces of his armor. As Abaddon strapped on his shin guards, Uriel continued. "She was always trying to gain admittance to the clan. But she was too proud, too eager...not yet ready to bear the responsiblities of a Seraphim. She idolized you, strangely enough. She hoped to become the next Spirit of Vengeance." "Did she now?" Uriel stared in surprise to see Abaddon rise, his eyes teary. Quickly blinking them away, he buckled his great black chestpiece on. "I wonder...could she handle it? Why is it the young always search for glory...and the old tire of it?" "We are not so old, Abaddon. We are not so feeble." "Feeble? No. But old we are indeed." Abaddon tied the last of his outfit, his long red cape, to his shoulders. "I tired, old friend. I am weary. Let others fight this new, reckless blood. Let we elders have our peace." "That is, at the moment, impossible Abaddon. You know that." "Indeed I do. That is why I shall fight this last time. Kuroichi is of no more concern. Let the world of vampires and evil destroy itself. I care not. After this battle, I will intervene only to protect human life. Whether I fall with the clan, or help it rise again, I am done with this war." Feeling a great weight lift from his shoulders, Abaddon reached his arm back. "My sword." He felt a metallic handle press into his palm, but as he drew the blade out for inspection, a crimson brilliance glinted off the edge. Drawing in a sharp breath, Abaddon turned to Uriel. "Eden's Bane! You cannot mean to-" "It is yours, Abaddon. It suits you. After all, you would protect the human's paradise, wouldn't you?" smirked Uriel. "But...what of you? You will not enter battle unarmed!" "Certainly not! I will bring Azoziel. I think I have more in common with your old friend then you did." As the two old warriors looked upon each other, they both seemed understand that only one of them would survive. Only one thing was appropriate. Clasping hands, they drew together in an embrace. "Good luck, old friend." ------------------------- Five hours later ------------------------- The two armies of the Myrkur Aniol met at midnight. Zuriel's clan vastly outnumbered the Seraphim. In confidence, they began beating their shields and spears together, chanting war cries, until the whole night was filled with a chaotic noise. Suddenly, louder than all, Gabriel's horn cut a blast through the air, the deep tone resonating through every vampire's body. As a deafening silece perforated the air, Zuriel and the Four Generals met at the center of the field. "So, this is the great Seraphic Legion, eh?" sneered Zuriel. "It is." replied Michael. "And our offer still remains. Stand down now, and we will allow you to repent for the crimes of draining humans to the point of death, killing other Myrkur Aniols, and trampling the ideals our order." "Stand down?" Zuriel suddenly let out a racous, yet slightly shaken laugh. "I easily command 10 times as many warriors as you." "And every Seraphim we have," shouted Abaddon, suddenly advancing," is worth twenty of yours!" The two vampires reached for their blades, but Michael, faster than both could react, raced between them and shoved the swords back in the sheaths. "Stay your hands until the battle. It's the proper way to do it." Walking to their respective sides, Abaddon and Zuriel both paused, turned, and looked at each other. Zuriel smiled and pointed a finger at Abaddon. "Stay alive for me, Spirit of Vengeance. We have unfinished business." Growling, Abaddon drew his sword and cut the back of his left hand. Clenching it into a fist, he let three drops fall to the ground. "Remember this sight, Zuriel. It will be the last time you ever see my blood. I hope you like the sight of yours." ------------------------------------------------------ OOC: To WAAAAARRR!! ^ ^ Haha. Don't kill Abaddon off too quickly, Blayze. I want him and Zuriel to play and exchange ideals for a bit...hehe.

Ugh. I bought the first Drakengard in the bargain bin of Gamestop once, and it was the worst $10 I ever spent. Repetitive gameplay, completely bland characters, and a horrible plot sent it straight back to the return bin for me. As far as I'm concerned, we're better off without a sequel. - Dane

Hi, guys. I didn?t post in the new sign-up, but if you want info on Abaddon, just read through the first chapter or HTDD, or read the original sign-up. -------------------------------------- Abaddon strode down the deserted streets of nighttime Chicago, his black trenchcoat sweeping the ground. Thoughts raced through his head as they had ever since he left Kuroichi?s side. Since his return to America, Abaddon had taken weeks to review the events that preceded the War of the Blood, and still he had yet to reach a conclusion. Walking into a dark alleyway, his entire body locked up, involuntarily reacting to the presence of a great power. Narrowing his eyes, Abaddon turned his head, surveying his surroundings. The hair raised on the back of his neck, and a reflex brought on by countess years of battle moved his right hand to his longsword. ?Where are you? If you?re looking for prey, you?ll find I am no old man , ripe for a beating. Show yourself if you beg for death. Otherwise, scurry away with your life, and leave me be.? ?Large words. They carry not only authority, but power. Such is expected from Abaddon, fourth-lieutenant of the Myrkur Aniol.? Abaddon drew a sudden breath as a blinding light appeared before him. The faint figure of a man could be seen in the light. Abbadon instantly dropped to his knees, prostrating himself before the figure. ?Gabriel. For what reason am I honored with your esteemed presence?? The figure stepped forward, and as it did, the light subsided, revealing the man behind it. Abaddon raised his face to look upon him. The man wore a lightly colored tunic, a scarlet cross emblazoned on it. A golden horn hung from his belt. His golden hair swayed as he let out a joyous laugh. ?Oh, can the formalities, Abaddon. The other member of the council aren?t here to witness you actually preforming ancient rites, rare as the occasion may be.? The man?s fair face spread into a warm smile. ?I?m glad to see you again." Abaddon smirked. ?And I you, old friend. But we have time for idle chat later. What really brought you here?? ?Always straight to business, eh? You haven?t changed a bit." Gabriel?s face faltered, then turned stone serious. ?Something?s happened. Come with me.? Grasping Gabriel?s hand, Abaddon felt his body become weightless. Then, in a blinding flash, the alley was empty. ------------- Rome ------------- Abaddon walked slowly behind Gabriel through the hallowed halls of the Myrkur Aniol?s inner sanctum. Throwing a pair of large, steel doors open, Gabriel took a seat at a large marble table, shaped like a kite shield. The table itself was inlaid with a finely engraved golden cross, much like the one on Gabriel?s tunic. Seated opposite Gabriel was Uriel, second-lieutenant of the Myrkur Aniol. His shining, silver armor hid a strongly built body, covered in scars from countless wars. Placed before him on the table was his great, winged helm, and propped against his chair was his war-blade, Eden?s Bane, which was said to burst into flame in battle. Placed at the head of the table sat Michael, head of the order of Seraphim, and chief judicator of the Myrkur Aniol. Abaddon quickle seated himself in the farthest chair, in full view of the Council. Michael cleared his throat and placed his hands together in front of him. ?Greetings, Abaddon. It has been long since you have graced these halls.? ?It has been long since the Council contacted me, my lord.? ?Indeed it has. Folly on our part, for sure. But let us not speak of this small matter. Are you aware of what has happened in recent weeks?? ?I am not. If you knew were to find me, you must also be aware that I have been abroad, and have been without contact with any Myrkur Aniol for some time. What has happened?? Michael cast a downward, almost sad glance. Standing up, he moved to a large window overlooking a great courtyard. He spoke with his back to the others, showing no other trace of emotion. ?Axosiel is dead, Abaddon.? ?What?!? When?how?? demanded Abaddon, rising to his feet. ?Murdered, by the hand of Belligeron.? Abaddon clenched his fists, rage growing in his breast. ?That fiend?where is he? I will rend him with my own hands when I-? ?He is of no concern to us, Abaddon. Not anymore. He has met his end.? ?By who?? ?Zuriel. The very reason this meeting has been called to order.? ?Zuriel?? Abaddon sat again, confused entirely. ?Yes. He has been named the new leader of the Myrkur Aniol.? ?What? But he is only a child-? ?A fact we well know, Abaddon. His youth brings vitality to the clan, but it will be his downfall. He is too inexperienced, and knows not the ways of war. He will ruin us all.? ?How? We are, after all, the Seraphic branch of the order! We need only-? ?Not anymore, Abaddon. Before his death, we were disbanded?by Axosiel. We know not why, but we suspect there was a plot even before this. The Myrkur ar turning, Abaddon. All but the Seraphic Legions are becoming corrupt and vile, consumed by their own power. We have only one option, and it is also the reason you have been summoned. ?Give me a command, Michael, and I will carry it out to the best of my will.? Abaddon?s eyes burned with anger, the thought of his proud clan falling infuriating him. He felt the spirit of his sword calling. Calling for battle. Calling for justice. Calling for vengeance. ?If Zuriel wishes for leadership of this new, dark Myrkur Aniol clan, than he shall earn it. Gather the old army, Abaddon. Gather our generals. The old shall clash with the new. We shall make war." -------------------------------------- This should make things interesting, aye Blayze? ^ ^

My noobness knows no bounds. In my haste to post and avoid having to write out all the s and s, I accidentally edited through Shinmaru's pilot interview. If I have it saved, I'll bring it back up again sometime. As it is, however, my newest interview is up, albeit in the first slot. I apologise to all readers for this error, and assure you all, I won't let it happen again. I guess this is what happens when you don't post for two weeks... noobishly, Dane

Dedication, huh? Seems I've been lacking in that area lately...^ ^; Actually, I've been up to my neck in stuff. For one, being the lead in a play and performing six days in a row (along with previous rehearsals) was one. Another was the comp breaking, and another was me losing the status of bachelor. So, there's that...haha. Anyway, since the plays done and the comp is working again (somewhat), I'll hopefully get my OB Chat revived shortly, along with Faerie Tale. I'd also love to restart HTDD. I never really explained the reason for Abaddon's departure, but I'm ready to flesh that out. Count me in, ULX.
Ooh! Sounds like fun fun! I wanna be the co-person! Er.. is it co-pilot? Gah. Can't remember. But, alas, I don't care. So meh! I just wanna bug people. Or... >>

I finally get a post in here! ^_^ I hope it's okay...
The Kiss Kissing her was wrong. His friends hated her. He knew that. They said she was annoying, a ditz, a clutz. One time, she tripped in the lunchroom, spilling milk, macaroni, and green beans everywhere. Whenever he talked to her, she would blush. His friends would never stop laughing at him. ...so why couldn't he stop?

Nice way to go out with some quiet dignity, man. I'm sure everyone will remember this outburst and think years later, "Man, that guy knew what he was talking about! He shouldn't have been banned!" Oh, wait. - Dane

Wow, thanks guys. ^_^ I do believe these are the best comments I've gotten on an idea of mine before...hehe. Anyway, like I said, I'll interview Methuselah the next time I see her online. If she, for some reason or another, doesn't get on in the next few days, I'll probably just go to another member. Thanks for reading! - Dane
-
I'm planning to. Don't be too hard on Shin though. This was kind of outta the blue, and the aim conversation itself had (on my side) a few typing errors, which was kind of confusing. I'm new at it too. However, I do plan to make another. I'll get around to interviewing Methuselah soon. Thanks for the support! ^_^ - Dane

Sign-ups are closed! Sign-ups are closed! Haha. Dang, this was actually more than I needed...but I can make this work. DemonicElf, Cyriel, Dragons_Bait15, and Daermon_Nashabe, thanks for joining (and all in one night? Yeesh.). Anyway, since this story involves meeting the players gradually and not all at once, this could work. I'm also planning on having some characters leave for a while then reappear later on. I'm a bit busy as of now, but I should have the actual rp set up soon. When I do, I'll outline any final rules and PM people when it's time for them to enter the story. Thank a lot guys, I hope we make this a great game! - Dane

------------------------ Episode I Guest: Kitty ------------------------ "Hello everyone, and welcome to the show. Today, our guest is the lovely Kitty, fourth member of the infamous Bikini Bandits. So, as she needs no more introduction, Kitty!" A small, blonde haired girl stepped noisely toward the stage. Her bright blue eyes were half closed, a sleepy expression prevalent on her face. Just before entering the spotlight, she tripped on a step, fell over the chair, rolled across the ground, and landing face up at Dane's feet. There was, of course, abundant cursing throughout. "Umm, hello, Kitty. My, you look lovely. How are you this evening?" Without moving, a loud, earth-shattering growl came from her stomachular region. In fact, it was so earth-shattering, it was more like a roar. Like a T-Rex was imbedded in her gut. "I'm hungry." replied Kitty, Queen of the obvious joke. "Well, I believe I can help you with that..." Whipping out a bundle of ridiculously scarlet roses from behind his back, Dane rushed to her side. "I'd like to-" "I don't eat flowers." said Kitty, in quite a matter-of-factly kind of way. Crestfallen, Dane let his boquet hang. "I was going to ask if you would have liked to accompany me to a fine, romantic, Italian dinner for two..." "...oh. Pizza it is, then!" ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Thirty minutes and three pizzas later, Dane and Kitty returned to the studio. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Sitting down, Dane pushed up his glasses and returned to the interview. "So, how long have you been a member of Otakuboards?" "About a year and a half, actually. I don't feel old, though!" "Should we think you are? What's your standard of an old member?" "Hm.. Well, with so many new members that stay for a day and never post.. Well, they're n00bs forever and always at OB. While "old" members are those who've been here as long as they need to have been to be able to post with good quality and obey the rules. And it doesn't hurt to post here for a year or two." "Mhm..yes, I completely agree." Dane checked the time since he joined, winced, then looked back at Kitty. "Besides terrorizing the boards as a member of the infamous Bikini Bandits or chatting it up with other members, what do you like to do in your free time?" "Video games! Especially handhelds since I spend so much time walking through my small town with my buds. And eating. Definately eating. Reading, too." After hearing all her interests, Dane decided to go with the one that wasn't boring as hell. "Video games, aye? You mentioned portables. Do you have a preference in the Nintendo DS and the Sony PSP match-up?" "Well, the DS is already out and, of course, I own it." "Really now? I bet I could whoop you in Metroid : Hunters." With a slight eye twitch, Kitty leaped across the table and locked Dane in the mother of all Indian-rug-burn-noogie combo attacks the world had ever seen. After several minutes of Dane screaming uncle, Kitty finally released him, and returned to her seat. "I don't have that game anyway." "You could have just said so...man..." After wiping away some coming tears, Dane decided to be the big man and go on with the interview. "Since your time on OB, have you made any close friends, or at least anyone worth mentioning?" "Yeah, of course I have! Lots! Who hasn't, huh?!?" Dane silently stared at Kitty, remembering the Shinmaru debacle relating to this question. "Oh, right. The list." Digging into her strangley pocketless bikini pants, Kitty removed a list of parchment which stretched across the entire room. "Annie, Baron, DeathKnight, Rhym, Hack Helba (once known as Stuart), Sonata, Phayte, Patronus, and many more. And I can't forget you, Daney." She finished with an overly done wink. "Subtle. Did you really need all that paper?" "No." "Okay. Now, which part of OB are members most likely to see you at?" "The Arena. I sometimes glance into Play it. But I stick to RPing and reading in the OB Anthology. I visit the Lounge, as well. But no WAY you'll catch me in any more debates." " Hehe. Well, I suppose that's all we have time for. Thanks for stopping by, Kitty. Do you have any parting words for the at-home audience?" "Yes! Bring me Pokemon! And make Charles gimme back my sun-hat!" "...alright. Will do. Well, like I said, that's all the time we have. Kitty, everyone!" Amid the final audience applause, Kitty lept up to the table. Pressing a button on an oversized watch, she cackled maniacally as the floor erupted beneath her, a giant robotic cat rising into the night sky. Climbing into it's mechanical-but-still-cute head, the automaton blasted off into the stars. Dane sighed and wiped the black soot of the exhaust fumes off his glasses. "Can't anyone leave normally around here?"

What OB members do you know, or would you like to meet in real life?
Danethol replied to Boo's topic in General Discussion
Hmmm...that's a toughy. *tries to remember everyone he's even remotely talked to* Shinmaru, Baron Samedi, and Dragon Warrior are all cool. I don't really know them that well, but they remain on my list of people I should eventually talk to. Hmm...Methuselah and Unborn Lord Xion are always fun. I would say Annie, but I have a feeling she'd be just as annoyed with me in person as she was when I ambushed her on aim... You know what? I don't really know anyone here really well. A new quest begins! *trumpets sound* Make some friggin' friends! Haha. -
Alright, sign-ups are looking great! I should probably get this thing started by tomorrow or the day after, so if anyone else wants to join, now's the time. I'm preferably looking for a changeling, dwarf, or gnome at this point, though I won't make it a rule. Thanks a lot guys, this is looking great.
