1. I think she falls in all of those categories. I find it almost impossible to label people as "super sexy" and not have speculations of the person being a slutty whore. Britney can sing, but she doesn't sing incredibly well. It's not painful to listen to, but there isn't much talent there. She did co-write almost all of her songs on her new album (which I love to death), but she's still a recording industry sexual puppet.
2. Album: Living in America Artist: The Sounds You may have heard Living in america, their first single, once or twice on the radio, but I think this Swedish rock band needs much more attention. This album is one of the best of 2003. The first song, Seven Days a Week, is a good catchy opener. This band has a heavy Blondie influence and a really strong 80's rock sound. The hooks pull you right in and delivers excellently. Dance With Me is one of my favorite because of the keyboard intro. The song is good, but the rest of it doesn't quite deliver as well as I hoped. Living in America is terrific, the verse and the chorus bring out the 80's sound a bit more, and is overall a pretty good song. Hit Me doesn't automatically sound the best, but the energy of the lead singer, Maja Iverson, makes up for it. This abuse anthem is a bit short, but it'll get stuck in your head quickly. Rock 'n' Roll and Mine for Life are my favorite songs on the album, songs about love and the effect of the cultural revolution of rock music. I highly encourage you to take a listen to this album. Poppy vocals and rock music mix well. Fans of No Doubt will probably enjoy the sounds of The Sounds.
3. 3 Favorite Movies? You know, I was just thinking about this the other day. Ferris Bueler's Day Off: An awesome John Hughs classic. His movies are terrific. The humor in this movie continues to make me laugh, and I love movies about smart people who get away with things. The best friend (I forget his name) stole the show. We need more movies like this. Romy and Michelle's Highschool Reunion: I love the soundtrack. No Doubt, Bananarama, and La Bouche. You really get to know the girls so well by the end of the movie. Fun movie about friendship and the need to satisfy people. Stereotypical highschool/reunion, but still very interesting. The Nightmare Before Christmas: This movie's animation is terrific in my opinion. Being a childhood favorite, I have to love it. It's the same with all my childhood obsessions. A classic.
4. Their bigger hits like One More Time and Around the World are pretty awesome. This is the kind of techno that stands out - much preferred by me over the indentical trance songs that pop everywhere you look for techno. My favorite would have to be their remix of Madonna's "Music" (I think the remix is called Da Funk). I was dissapointed however with the Neptunes remix of one of their songs. It's the only thing I disliek by them.

I'm Really Hot

Actually, she is behind the music. She Timbaland work really well together. One reason why her music and style is so creative is because she's the one who writes and produces it (with help of course, but which artist doesn't?) Another good song on her new album is Let Me Fix My Weave.
6. As much as I'd like to believe the title, this is about Missy Elliot's new album, This Is Not A Test. Her second single, I'm Really Hot has done well in it's first few weeks. I haven't listened to the entire album yet, but those addictive beats in songs such as "Pass That Dutch" just get stuck in your head, but for me, I love it when that happens. "I'm Really Hot" does just the same, and it's funny listening to how she describes herself. Missy's creativity definatly makes it's way into her songs and her videos. The little kids dancing, the fake Japanese showdown, and all of those little things that make her records stand out. Her unique sound really stands out from the modern rap and is quite enjoyable for me, someone who hasn't always been big on the rap scene.
