2.
Haha, yeah. But hey, at FYE the DVD set was under 25 dollars. Thats good for it being 2 live DVD's of all their CD's in completion. So not only would you get to see their Trooper cover, you'd ge to see every one of their songs. haha Obfuscation, BTBAM's new single, was on a few days ago on XM radio and it was effing brilliant. At midnight tonight it will only be 4 days until the CD's release... It's killing me, really.
You're going to be very pleased when you hear the whole thing. I was :]
  3. I got the leaked full album The Great Misdirect by Between The Buried And Me. Speechless. Be jealous.
  4. The Black Dahlai Murder's new album Deflorate is 35-minutes of the best extreme metal released in this year. It's the best thing that's happened to music in a long, long time. If you like anything concerned with metal or heaviness, I suggest you check it out. Be you long hair purist or sceney-weeney, you'll love it. So heavy. So relentless. So fu**in' brutal. My god. Their new guitarist is utilized so well. Amazing solos. Heavy, fast, killer riffs, and the drumming is simply inhuman. Also I'm glad to see that Trevor has embraced and utilized his death growl more on this album. Just listen to it. Dear merciful Satan. 5.
Two words... Gojira issex. And two more words... BringmetheHorizon issex. Anyways, I can't wait for the re-release of Suicide Season, it's an amazing CD and an amazing piece of art from an awesome band. But, before that, I have to get the new Between the Buried and Me album. I just heard Obfuscation today, and I'm DYING for the album to be released! Obfusction was just... orgazm. But, as for things I DOOO have, the Coheed and Cambria, Neverender set is my wet dream. The whole thing is amazing! It's every song by them, LIVE on DVD! It's amazing. And they also did a good job covering The Trooper by Iron Maiden.
Coheed and Cambria covered mothafu**in' Trooper?! Getting it. Same goes for Between The Buried And Me, of course. I'm so glad I've come unto some money recently.
  6. Bring Me The Horizon is releasing a remix album next month entitled Suicide Season Cut-Up, which is remixing their previously released album Suicide Season. I can't stop listening to these two, which have been released (or atleast leaked) so far, and I've managed to download. Pretty fun stuff. I'm a huge fan of BMTH and a huge fan of electro and dance music, so this fits me fine.

  9.
Depending on where you live, getting placed on the Sex Offender Registry is much easier than people realize. Instead of explaining it I'll just link to two articles that do so. Sex Offender Registry No Help to Jaycee Dugard And this one here: Parents Turn to Police When Daughters Have Sex The problem is that assuming someone on the Sex Offender Registry must be dangerous, is far from accurate. Plenty of people are on there for stupid choices they made instead of being individuals who are truly dangerous to society. Either way, it's still not an effective solution at all.
I cant' believe it took this long for someone to make this statement. Yes, while genuine sex offenders are really bad people, the law is far to broad and inclusive on who's considered a sex offender. An eighteen year old boyfriend of a 17, 16 year old girlfriend who possesses naughty photos of his girlfriend could be considered a sex offender, on equal grounds with a convicted pedophile. A guy who drunkingly urinated on a tree on the side of the road is up there with a guy who attempted rape. The laws either need to be relaxed or far, far more discriminatory between minor and major offenders (or what constitutes a genuine offender). I'm a believer in redemption, and if a person is a genuine sex offender, served his time, and is deamed "reformed", they should atleast be given the chance to show they've learned some what of a lesson (with probations involved of course) before they are punished for the rest of their lives (though I suppose a guy who's raped multiple people should not be given this opportunity). The government should atleast help them. I mean, I'd be just as concerned living next to a convicted burglar or drunk-driver as I would be a sex offender but we aren't given a public notice of their crimes, they aren't told they can't live in areas where their crimes can be recommitted and harm others. *sigh*
  10.
Everbody who loves my kind of music should listen to Asking Alexandria. Honestly, they are amazing, they rock my socks. They have a CD out calld Stand and Scream, and it has some pretty brutal tracks. Like for instance, If You Can't Ride Two Horses at Once, You Should get out of The Circus, and my personal favorite I Used to Have a Best Friend (But he Gave me and STD) The band is like, Bring me the Horizon and the Devil Wears Prada with the addition of more synth. They are described as Trancecore, but despite the dumb genre title, they are awesome. It's probably blasphemy to say this, but their lead singer, in a way, kicks Oli's ***. Just saying! Oh and I'm now in love with In Fear and Faith, Chiodos and Circa Survive. My favorite song by Chiodos is The Undertaker's Thirst for Revenge is Unquenchable. And my favorite song by In Fear and Faith so far is The Taste of Regret. Also, check out The Rise of Science, it's like Coheed and Cambria, but more post-hardcore. They hail from Atlanta Georgia and played a show here in Norwood NY (Yeah haha). It's a shame though, I missed them play at the show we had there >.>
You have my interests. I'll make sure to check them out. As for me, I've been listening to alot of Whitechapel and For The Fallen Dreams lately. Whitechapel, for those who don't know much about them, are probably one of the biggest deathcore acts around. Their style is heavy, in every aspect. Lots of heavy, low tones, and their vocalist primarily does a death growl or variation of such, however he does toss in screams and hardcore yells from time to time. My favorite song is by far, this one: (Probably the best opening a song has ever had, ever.) For the Fallen Dreams, are, as I could describe them, like if The Devil Wears Prada butted heads with The Acacia Strain. They also did a song with Jeremy McKinnon from A Day To Remember that has become one of my favorites. Really top metalcore. Also, if you're into Deathcore at all, please, please, I beg you, check out the most hopeful band I've found in the genre, ever... they define what the genre should sound like. So amazing. I give you, Australia's own, Thy Art Is Murder: Vicious, is the only way I could describe them. Vicious.
  11. I have to many favorite bands to name drop here, but I'll list the ones I keep coming back to time and time again. Between The Buried And Me Bring Me The Horizon A Day To Remember The Fall of Troy The Black Dahlia Murder Decapitated Blink-182 Gallows Paint It Black August Burns Red Parkway Drive Jay-Z Nas Wu-Tang Clan Hieroglyphics Del The Funkee Homosapien Souls of Mischief Ludacris Black Flag Minor threat Animosity Four Year Strong Taking Back Sunday
  12. I'll just leave this here. 13. Bout to go swimming with my girlfriend, and listen to some pop-punk/hardcore in the form of Four Year Strong and The Wonder Years, as I have made an awesome mix CD.

    Inglourious Basterds
Wow, I'm happy to hear something positive. This movie has had some pretty flat reviews so far, so your comments make me a bit more interested in seeing it.
Most of the American reviews I've read for it have been rather positive. I mean, I heard about one french critic who didn't like it at Cannes, but that's about the extent of the negative press I heard from it. There might have been one other but that escapes me. I've come to trust Tarantino's work as either a "hate it or love it" affair, and I've always loved it.

Other than that go crazy, be artistic, give me something that's yours and original. The only request I make is that I'd like his neck scar to be visible in the avatar if possible. And in the banner, have a quote n the old-western style print in the movie saying either: "I want my scalps..." or "The Apache" thanks to all

    Inglourious Basterds
Beat me to the punch. Just got back from seeing it... One word: Epic.
I mean, I admittedly don't go to the theater too often, and particularly not premiers. But I have to say this was probablythe best movie going experience I've had since seeing, again, The Dark Knight. The crowd was definetly with me and my friends whenever we let loose loud, obnoxious "OH SHI-!!!!"s. And I mean, come on, during the climax you know you were like "AMERICA! F-ING AMERICA!".
  17. I went to a midnight showing for Quentin Tarantino's newest masterpiece and I must say, not only was I impressed, by pretty much sideswiped completely by the story's twists, turns, climax, and pretty much how deep the film actually is. Christoph Waltz plays one of the most complicated and interesting villains since Heath Ledger's Joker. Multilingual with a sharp ear for accents and with a penchant for "thinking like a Jew" which has led to his nickname "The Jew Hunter", he's both scary and charming at the same time. Brad Pitt. Don't even get me started. Every word he spoke was either super-"HELL YEAH"-inducing awesome, or straight up hilarious. Often times both. Aldo The Apache is probably one of Tarantino's greatest characters ever, and his lines will be remembered along with the great one-liners from Pulp Fiction. I don't want to get to into it yet, but I'll just say this. Go watch this film. It's been the best movie I've seen since The Dark Knight and some say Tarantino's best since Pulp Fiction. I'm partial to Kill Bil, so that's your call. But do yourself a favor and go see it. Now.
  18.
I'm more excited to see what you'll be listening to in 5 more years.
Me too. Hopefully it'll be a combination of all the stuff I am now and in the past.
  19. Taking a few notes from Alternative Press' "Class of '99" article, I've started listening to a few albums and artists that I was too young to fully appreciate when I was younger, who never the less, inspired and influenced the music I listen to currently by leaps and bounds. Particularly... The Dillnger Escape Plan's album Calculating Infinity Poison The Well's album The Opposite of December: A Season of Separation Saves the Day's album Through Being Cool and In Reverie
  20.
I've been listening to Black Eyed Peas' newer CD a lot lately. I really like it. I'm listening to August Burns Red's new CD right now. It's tight. Real tight. Very technical, very heavy. They fail to disappoint once again.
Hah! Awesome. I literally bought Constellations yesterday. And I agree sir!
  21.
I fixed your grammar for ya, Botar. Wink.
Hurray! Now we're all pretentious! On topic: Australia's premiere metalcore band.
  22.
Once again, go with Reel Big Fish and save you're self the trouble, The bands just too damn cool. Also If Reel Big Fish doesn't blow you're mind, look up Less Than Jake, It will finish the mind-chunk blowing process.
Hell yeah! Ska! .....awesome?
  23. Karma, Dharma, and The Middle Way.
  24. I've noticed that, despite being a Buddhist, I enjoy a great number of Christian metalcore/hardcore artists. I don't know why this genre in particular is stacked with the faithful. It's mind-boggling. Particularly bands like With Blood Comes Cleansing, who are a pretty brutal deathcore bands by any defintion. Anyways, the point of this is because I've been listening to two artists in particular alot recently. War of Ages: The Devil Wears Prada: The more I listen to the new TDWP album, the more I love it. At first listen I was kinda "meh" on it. But now I love it. Some of the heaviest breakdowns ever, and Mike Hranica has such a distinct, aggressive vocal. Love it. (Also, his chipped tooth and mustache make me think of Murderface from Dethklok.)
  25.
It's not that I don't like any deathcore, it's just that deathcore and metalcore are genres that I'm particularly picky about band-wise. Not big on ABACABB. I'm a fan of Ion Dissonance. August Burns Red I'm iffy on. I've heard of At the Throne of Judgement, but I never bothered to check them out. Any good?
Amazing. One of my favorite bands. If you like The Black Dahlia Murder then I'm pretty confident you'll like them. Amazing band.
