Concerning the evolution comment. I only meant it in the manner as, I wonder why no other species of animal evolved into bipedal beings. Technically, the oldest creators on Earth are alligators, sharks, and cockroaches. Why didn't they evolve into smarter beings? They've been here longer than mammals in general. I just think, if we did evolve, something must have guided, or else we would have been contempt with killing animals with sharp rocks and living in caves. I'm just saying that I can be logical, I just include my logic with my spirituality and belief in God.

From MTV News: Proof, a member of the Eminem-fronted Detroit-based hip-hop sextet D12, was killed early Tuesday morning outside a Detroit nightclub in a shooting that left another man in critical condition. According to a spokesperson for the Detroit Police Department, Proof (real name: DeShaun Holton) suffered a gunshot wound to the head at the CCC Club on East Eight Mile Road, near Gratiot Avenue. By the time police arrived just after 5 a.m., the club ? which was operating illegally, after hours ? had been cleared out, but several witnesses have come forward to discuss the incident with investigators. The police spokesperson said only that "an altercation occurred [inside the club], and shots rang out," but would not discuss the shooting further, as the 32-year-old rapper's next of kin have not yet been notified. Both victims (the other man's name has not been released) were transported to hospitals; Proof was rushed to St. John Holy Cross Hospital, while the second victim, who is 35 and also sustained a gunshot to the head, was taken to St. John Hospital, where he's listed as being in critical condition. Proof was pronounced dead on arrival. Police are searching for the suspected gunman; a description has not been made available. Detectives have asked that anyone with any information on the shooting come forward. The shooting is the second in three months to involve a member of Eminem's inner circle. Em protégé Obie Trice was shot and wounded New Year's Eve while riding with his girlfriend along a Detroit freeway (see "Obie Trice Recovering From New Year's Eve Shooting"); police have yet to make an arrest in connection with that incident, which remains under investigation. One of D12's original members, Bugz (real name: Kornail Pitts) was shot and killed on May 21, 1999, during a picnic at Detroit's Belle Isle Park. According to the Detroit Free Press, several Detroit hip-hop DJs, radio personalities, rappers and producers, as well as Eminem and Obie Trice, planned to meet with Proof's family at the hospital on Tuesday morning (April 11). D12 was set to begin work on its third album this month. MTV News will have more on this developing story throughout the day. ? Chris Harris ------------------------------- This comes as really sad news to me. Being by far my favorite member of D12, Proof was a very young and talented man. I will most deffinetly miss him. Proof was known for his great freestyling and production skills, aswell as his bit role in "8 Mile". Rest In Peace, Proof

To both KatanaViolet and Indifference. KatanaViolet, I was simply stating that it was not a very sensitive thing to say that Jesus Christ, the lord and savior of the world's largest religous group, was a possible schizophrenic. I personally found it offensive, but I wasn't going to get angry at your ignorance to the fact that you may have put off a couple of people with your statement. I was only stating my logic and beliefs, not what I believe others should believe. Aswell, questioning a person's faith in a higher being and power is highly unneccesary. A person does not have to justify their beliefs to a skeptic who will only ridicule it. Relegious and spiritual people both believe that when they die, their soul will continue on either in heaven or to be reincarnated. You can't call yourself an athiest and say you are spiritual, because a spirit is not something that can be explained by science, nor can it be created by science. Scientists have a way of saying if they can't explain something through science, then it must not be real. But what about the bleeding statues of Mother Mary? What about the hindu mystics who meditate for weeks at a time? What about the Islamic holy men who ram large knives and needles through their faces without a sign of blood or scarring? How can science explain those things without considering a factor that is untouchable by them? There are several reason I have a belief in God. One is when I was in vacation in Greece, I was chasing my younger brother around house's drive way, which led into a narrow one car road, which he ran out into just as a large truck was barraling down the road. By some force of the supernatural, my brother told us that he felt... something... pull his body back into and pin him to the wall on the side of the road. His elbow was knicked by the truck's door mirror. If he had been 3 inches closer to the truck, he would have been under it. I also thank God for my family. My father went from a troubled youth from Mass. Now he is the number one National Guard recruiter in my state. He and I both believe God helped him through several of his ventures to the field. When my mother and father met, they dated for 5 weeks. Then my dad asked my mom to marry her, and they did. Both sides of the family said it wouldn't last and tried to pull them apart. They nearly fell apart several times, until one incident. My little brother was sickly as a young child. At this time, my father was an irresonsible man and was slowly breaking away from my mother and me. In fact, they had been living in seperate homes for a while. One day, my dad drove by my mom's house to see that the car wasn't there. He then went on to the hospitable to see the car there. He went in and saw my Mom's cousin crying, saying "He's gone, man... he's gone." My mom's uncle Jimmy had just passed away. My father did not know of this, and thought instantly it was his sick son who had died, my brother. This event caused my father to go through a revelation in a single moment. He and my mother have been married for 17 years now, have bared three children, and strong as ever. As they say, the Lord works in mysterious ways. I have many more reason to believe in God, but those are two of the most important in my eyes. Indifference, I have this to say. Our relegious texts where said to be written by individuals whom were compelled by the holy spirit or the savior to write these texts. These include the books of the Bible, Kohran, Kabbalah, aswell as the writings of the Buhhdist texts. I am not saying that it's not a possibility that some of these texts were contrued by man, in fact, I believe they were. It is said in several texts that it is a sin to shave, get peircings, and for women to cut their hair, which I don't believe God would dictate a person on their outer appearrance. I think the texts are their to be guidelines in your life, and you should interpret them for yourself. That is how I've came to my own beleifs. I understand that you may not beleive in the spirit or relegion, and I will not impend on your right beleive so. I just think that if our universe is so complex and vast, then some infinitley wise being must have master minded it. It's possible we were meant to understand the workings of our world, so that we may gain greater knowledge as we continued on. If you wanted to look at the world scientifically, then you would soon find that humans are more than less, plights upon the Earth... seing as how we've basically polluted and destroyed most of it. ----------------------------------------- But honestly, I'm just stating my opinions, not criticizing anyone elses. Maybe I'm wrong. Maybe your wrong. Maybe we're all wrong. We can never know, we can only believe.

Just putting it out there, KatanaViolet ,I don't think it was a wise choice to say Jesus may have been a 'delusional schizophrenic'. That's not a good way to show that you 'respect their choices'. I'm not going to get angry at you for saying something like that, I'm just saying that's some people's spiritual savior. I'm sure you could have found a better way to say what you were trying to convey rather than saying he was a possiblely psychopathic. For me, we do live in a logical world. It's just my logic goes beyond the basic human understanding of science. I accept spritiuality and the divine into my logic. Divine logic... kind of an oxymoron, but that's how I view the world.

My introduction to [adult swim] was similar. I tuned in to watch some late night cartoons one of my first nights back in America (I had been in Germany for the prior 2 1/2 years) and found myself watching a foul mouthed milkshake screaming at a meatball. I thought to myself, "What the hell is this?!". After a few minutes though, I realized I was watching genius at work. I 've been watching [as] since I was 13, and I'm still a regular veiwer. Most of the shows that I actually take time and plan on watching are [as] shows. Most notably was Venture Bros. I don't think I've ever missed an episode of that.

The coma is something that I had not given much thought to. But now that I look at it, there is another inspiration I may have uncovered... Big O? Though it may be coincidence, now that I think about it, this also seems to have a quite a bit in common with Big O. The enclosed country, fear of what lies beyond the barriers, sudden memory loss caused by a coma, and the mystery of the coma itself. All very similar. You have a very broad range of sources, I'll give it to you. (That is, if I am correct in this aspect.) BTW- My comparisons to 1984 were simply those of the government's style of rule and the construed media. But I continually find this to be more and more interesting. You really know how to make 'em, eh?
-
This whole thing seems to have a very George Orwell's "1984" feel to it. Just with animal people. Nice twist on that concept. The only other comparison I could make to this would be like, V For Vendetta meets the Bloody Roar video games. The story has a very 'paranoid' feeling. Paranoia pressed onto the people by the government to fear the Hybrids, and the paranoia of living under a totalitarian government. Real good stuff. I look forward to the sign ups. I hope I get in on this, looks really amazing.

I have to agree with Roxie on this one. I do believe in a higher being as the world and universe's creator. I also believe that there is a God, and that every relegion has their own personal relationship with the same God. It is stated in the Islamic texts that Chistians, Jews, and Islams alike all follow the same God. This could most likely be said for most other relegions aswell. Scientists and athiests may try to explain the world and our being through logic and science. Which is fine and dandy. But I think that those people should know better than any that their just can't be something without cause. They say that the universe was created by a "Big Bang". Well... what came before the Big Bang? What caused the Big Bang? What was there before the Big Bang's components came together? Why aren't there Big Bangs happening all over the place? There must have been something. Something that made all things into existance. I think it's just unexplainable without the possibility of God or some creator being a factor. I believe strongly in God and my relegion. However, I will be the last person to ever try and push my beleifs on another. I think that people should make their own choices in life, however I just can't find it in me to accept that our lives, society, world, universe, and existance itself could be explained through scientific logic and that it is all a product of chance. Apes into humans? Maybe. But what guided that process? Why do we still have Apes? Why didn't all the apes evolve with us? Dinosaurs? Totally. But hey, maybe it was practice. I don't want to sound ignorant or like I'm pushing things. That's just what I believe myself, just stating my opinion. Make your own conclusions in life. P.S.- I'm an optimist anyways. Reincarnation or Heaven, really don't mind either way.

I realize that on the OB's, there are alot of fans and viewers of [as]'s anime line up. Many Fullmetal Alchemist, Trigun, and anime fan's in general wouldn't exist if it weren't for them. I am wondering if what are your, if you even have any, favorite non-anime programs on [adult swim]. Such as Family Guy, Futurama, Harvey Birdman, Aqua Teens, etc. My personal favorites other than Family Guy are as follows: Robot Chicken: Seth Green and the Producers at [as] always make me laugh, every single sketch they do is golden. My recent favorite would have to be the one with Cory Feldman and Cory Hein (sp?) try to rescue the Bush twins. Harvey Birdman: Every episode is great, and the voice actors are about spot on every time. Scrappy Doo being eaten by Avenger? Scooby and Shaggy exposed as stoners? The Jetson's coming from back from the future? (I.E. They live in 2001, they come back to 2004.) Aqua Teen Hunger Force: I have very little to say about this series. It's just straight up great. Venture Bros.: It's like Johnny Quest on crystal meth. Just terrific. Plus, Brock Samson is the bossness. --------------------------------------------------------- Anyone else have any favorites?

I'm a white guy (half greek, if that counts for anything). I've had two black girl friends in my time, so I obviously don't see anything wrong with the mixing of races. I find that most people who are against it, are racist in the first place (no offense to your Mom, GP). If we live in a free society where all people are treated equally, then I don't see why anyone would have a reason to pass judgement on a couple if they date one another, and their skin color happens to be different. Honestly, I don't think it should matter, because people are people when it all comes down, and I don't understand how a person could automatically assume that another human is lesser than they are or don't have the right to date a person of their own race. I really detest people who slander it.

I've mastered the art of concealed sleeping. I suggest it to anyone who becomes board. Slimply open up your text book, put your face downwards, held up by your hands, and pretend your reading. Keep and ear out for words such as "Turn the page." or your own name. I am also able to sleep with my eyes open by rolling them back in my skull, but that's kind of painful when waking up. If I can't sleep, I usually talk or draw. I draw more often than not when I'm bored. At one point in time, when my teacher was not around, drew a portrait of my friend on the dry erase board, also, I repeatedly leave pictures of Home Star Runner on the board. In another class, Drama (or as I like to call it, Naptime) I have drawn large scale pictures of Edward Elric, Roy Mustang, and Scar from FMA on the dry erase board. They were left up there for sometime.I do the same thing on paper, or on the sides/backs of my worksheets. No one seems to mind. I also get alot of reading done.

I hope I can still sign up for this... Name: Keiji Maeda Gender: Male Appearance: Keiji is a very thin young man, seemingly frail to some extent, this has led to his pursuit of martial arts training to toughen himself up. He has since gain a little muscle mass, but nothing to be outwardly visible. He is still afraid of conflict, and his shifty eyes and usually alert face reflects that. His dusty black hair is a dirty mess ontop his head which hangs slightly over his brow. His nose is quite long, covering a good portion of his face, and his eyes are green, always shifting and aware. His jaw is thin and straight, nearly squared. His eye brows are a sharp over his shifty eyes. He stands around 5'11" and weighs a mear 150 lbs, clearly explaining his weak disposition. Since he has never been tested, he has no clue what he can accomplish with his body. Keiji wears his uniform very shabbily, seeing as how he has a low opinion of himself to begin with. His clothes are baggy around his thin frame. He wears his jacket open and his shirt untucked. He cares little about his outer appearance. (Could I be PMed a pic of this uniform?) Personality: Paranoid and unsure of himself, Keiji is always suspicious of those around him and what there motivations are. He yearns to make a name for himself, and to be accepted by those around him, but because of his frail and afraid attitude, he is teased and bullied. It has been like that for some time. This has caused him to hate all those around him and be untrusting to anyone he meets. Despite this, he is not very aggresive because of his inferiority complex, which is slowly transforming into a Napoleon complex. Keiji does not realize the potential he and his mind has. School File: (Later I suppose...)

Leon: Damn It Ashley! Could you NOT see the 3 foot long Bear Trap in front of you?! (Atleast that is what I say everytime that crap happens.) or "This was the fate of the lost Bush sister..." (Because Ashley, in the Game, is the president's daughter.)

You guy's could've done alot better. Like: "This is what you get when pass out drunk at a military party..." or "Don't ask, don't tell..." or "The Results of psychological warfare." But I will give it to Ayokano for his reference to the old NES Metal Gear Games. Your up.

I'll give yours a seven. Good because its a Naruto avatar. But three point deduction for the inclusion of Sasuke.

'Mazin' Boss Powers!!! *KA-SPLAT*! You now know Kung-Fu. You decide to test your skills against me, the great Chuck Norris... the results are obvious. You are now dead in the ground, your right arm broken off and rammed into your own anus. Congratulations. I wish I was even more of a Boss.

I just hate spoiler tags being used in threads where your supposed to be spoiling things. In your post, you didn't really explain what happened or why it happened. You just said what happened, which isn't going to help anything. Also, you got some things wrong, like Ed's automail not working, which isn't true. Also, it is possible for a person wanting more than one person's opinion on a subject. Aswell, your grammar wasn't all that, making things annoying to read. No offense.

The game is supposed to be a 'lost episode' from the show and offers the use of a new original character. I've seen screen shots of the game already, and a preview, and the graphics could use some work. Lets hope that it improves before release, because the show is one of my favorite series of all time. I don't know much about it past there. But even if the graphics aren't all that jazz, aslong as Mugen's gameplay is solid, I'll be happy. There is nothing cooler than a breakdancing samurai... (except for a breakdancing cyborg samurai.)
3. Is it really the same God I have to look into it. All religions do have some form of a God thoguh.
Well, I meant that as a literal question. All three texts refer to many of the same figures as prophets and great men, and the Kohran literally refers to Christians and Jews as "Brothers in God". So, I do not understand why each group would hold another in contempt.
5. No offense bro but could you give that Boss thing a rest?
Sorry, but the bossness will never end.

Boss Force Activate!!! *BAM* (Emmeral Just Sued Me) You can now write songs that you love! You now take your songs on the road, getting a gig for a large venue. However, your song lyrics offend your first crowd highly. They then barrage you with a hail of vegetables. After taking a 13-pound head of lettuce to the head, you fall off the stage. You are now a comatose vegetable. Congratulations! I wish I was a Bond villain.
I'm not so much confused as I am wondering. Did
Spike really die[/spoiler'] at the end of Cowboy Bebop? Or is it there to leave everyone wondering?
*Spoiler Alert* Because I hate tags. Seeing as how much Spike and Vicious were played up to be connected with one another through out the series, I think it's fitting that they
killed one another.
Aswell, Spike was building up his true wanting for death, seeing as how he had cheated it so many times in the past. So yeah, I believe he
is dead,
and I'm happy for him.
The ending of Fullmetal Alchemist confused me. I really didn't get the part of how Ed and Al were in
like different worlds and Al had his body back and Ed didn't.[/spoiler'] Maybe it is because I haven't seen all of the episodes... Can someone tell me please?
*Big Spoiler Alert* Because I still hate tags. In the show, Fullmetal Alchemist, the characters live in a
dimension which is alternate to our own. The story takes place during WWI in our world. The thing that seperates our two worlds is the gate. Because of the Gate, all deceased souls from our dimension pass through the gate, and provide the people on the other side with Alchemic Energy.
When Ed passed through the
gate after being killed by Envy, his soul fused with the body of himself in our dimension. When he dies in that body, Al at the same time uses himself (the Philospher's Stone) to re-connect Ed with to his dead body back in their dimension. But because Al is the Philospher's Stone, he wipes his body from existance, however, his soul is still floating out there.
When Ed awakens,
alive again, he realizes the sacrafice which Al has made, and then takes it upon himself to actually bring Al back, mind, body, and soul (as Hohenheim had explained) by using his own mind and body as alchemic material. However, instead of actually sacraficing himself, Ed again transfers himself to the other side of the gate, but instead of just his soul, he brings back his mind, body, and soul just as Hohenheim did. However, the transmutation works, and Al is brought back as a 10 year old child once again, without any memory of what had occured prior to his and Ed's first contact with the Gate. Hohenheim theorizes, that instead of Ed's body as a sacrafice, Ed and Al's experiences and basic memories from the past 5 years were given up as some weird alchemic material to base Al's being on. The equivalent exchange law worked upon a spiritual level, I believe.
I have yet to see the movie, but I think it's a safe bet that Hohenheim is right. P.S.- Ed's Automail
does work,
if it wasn't made apparent when he lifted his arm out the train window in the final screen. --------------------------------------------------------- As for me, nearly every episode of "Paranoia Agent" confused the hell out of me. So, actually, I was pretty out of it through out the series. Another would be "Akira" the movie, but I don't think that was meant to be understood.
I have added spoiler tags to your post The Boss, even if you do not like spoiler tags we ask that you use them when talking about events in a series that would spoil it for someone who has yet to see it. Littering one's posts with unmarked spoilers is extremely rude, to other members as well as to the moderators who have to go in there and add tags. Members who repeatedly divulge big spoilers and refuse to start tagging their posts themselves (even when warned) will run the risk of being banned. Please do not post spoilers with out tags. If you have any questions feel free to pm myself or another member of the staff. ~indifference

The Boss uses his super boss powers, and your wish is granted... *Pow*? You are now a generic citizen of San Andreas, a pixilated world were crime runs rampant in the streets. No where is safe you come to find death is inevitable where ever you may roam. But because you are a base pedestrian model for the game, you are forced to endure the pain of death for eternity at the hands of gangsta's. Congratulations! I wish I was the greatest bad-*** of all time, Chuck Norris.

Here are things I ponder: 1. How can it be possible that we as a planet and world, are just a product of chance? 2. Why must people in general take their beliefs and doctrines so seriously, if doing so will only lead to that person's anger towards others of a different belief or doctrine. Why believe in something that will ultimatley make you unhappy? 3. Judaism, Christianity, Islam ----> Same God? 4. What is the point of hating another individual or group whom has done nothing against you personally? (i.e. homophobia, xenophobia) 5. Why am I such a Boss? That is about it for now.
-
I think an individual can be represented by what they listen to. That's not to say that an individual who listens to gangsta rap is a gang member. I mean it in the since that a person's musical choices can show what style or feeling they enjoy evoking into themselves. It can also show how diverse a person truely is. As for me, in my CD player right now is The Game "The Documentary", Nirvana "Nevermind", and Gorillaz "Demon Days". I have a varied list of music that I enjoy, though I will admit the majority is hip hop. No, I'm not one of those 'wigger' kids who dress up and try to 'act black' as most white hip hop fans are called. Me? I'm wearing a Napoleon Dynamite T-Shirt, some jeans and Red/White/Grey Nike's, at this very moment listening to "Like A Boss" by Slim Thug. The reason I listen to it? It's not because I'm all gangsta, it's not because Slim Thug is a great lyracist, it's because I enjoy the feeling it envokes into me. A feeling of just, feelin' good. Feeling like your on top of things and you can handle whats before you. So in my opinion, music may not affect the way we live, it can show what we are feeling, or what mood we enjoy being put into. - Big Bossin' Boss
