"Juche is a philosophical idea that man is the master if everthing and decides everything. In other words, it is the idea man is the master of the world and his destiny..." There is a legend, spreading threw out much of the orient. The origin of this legend seems to take its roots in the mythos of the Tibetan mountians and holy monistaries. The legend seems to be as ancient as the emergence of civilization. The legend has many titles, the most popular of which being "The Soul". The legends starts, with the birth of a boy, who as he grew, showed powers far beyond that of any normal human, as if gifted by the heavens. Aswell, as they boy grew into a man, he began showing the traits of a hero. Galant and brave, just and strong willed. Once old enough, the boy became a hero in his own right. Protecting and helping all those in need, regardless of personal gain or even saftey. The first true hero. The now man used his grand and mysterious powers to their fullest, for the cause of good and justice. And he was forever known as a hero. As the legend states, time passed on. The hero grew old, and eventually his body died. But it is said, that instead of assending to the welcome gates of Heaven, the hero's soul stayed on Earth, to inhabit the body of another child, and a new hero for the next generation. A soul so dedicated to justice, it stayed on Earth instead of passing on. The legend says that generation after generation, and body after body, the Soul passed itself on, gaining more and more power threw the centuries. It is said that the Soul of the hero still wanders Earth, searching for a new body to inhabit, and a new hero to create... At least, that is the legend.... New York, New York December 13th, 2004 6:48 am It was a crisp and windy winter morning in Central Park. The snow was hard and crystalized on the curbs and side walks of the concrete jungle that is New York City. Laying limp and covered with rags and paper, was a young man, a teenager on a park bench. He huddled himself into a tight ball for warmth and protection from the biting wind as the sun rose on the horizon of the city, and the tall buildings cast their first shadow. Soon enough, a passing police officer strolled over the sleeping boy, watching his breath turn into visible steam as it entered the air. The police man prodded the boy with a night stick lazily. The boy simply tossed his body a bit a continued to slumber. Eventually, the officer jabbed the boy in the ribs with the club, "Wake up, boy!" he called out loudly. The young man sat up a bit, looking up to the police officer, his eyes clenched and tired, sheilding the bright sun. "Well good morning. I'm gonna count to five, and your gonna be outta my sight." At that, the boy yawned loudly and rubbed his eyes, sleeply reaching under the bench and grabbed an old shopping bag full of ragged clothes. He dragged the bag up to himself and brushed the newspaper from his legs. Then stepping up, the boy was off, the police officer staring at him with a snide look and a raised eyebrow. The teenage boy continued on his side walk journey, still yawning and rubbing away the awaking tears of sleep. He scratched his scruffy and greasy hair roughly and coughed, walking as though he were a clumsy zombie. The boy wandered the streets for several hours with no apparent point of interest, but always, always holding his bag closely. It wasn't until late afternoon after the sun had began setting, that the boy began circling a particular area, close around a particularly large convenience store, busy with customers. The teen's eyes were shifty, just as the passer byes who saw him, many raising eyebrows. Finally, the cutsomers began dissapating away from the store, and the young man stopped strolling back and forth. He then went into a small, deserted back alley, and opened his bag of clothes. Out he pulled a ragged, old trench coat made of dirty, brown pleather and a long, black scarf. Pulling over his hands greasy black gloves, the young man switched around the corner and stepped in front of the door of the convencience store. He placed his hand on the door handle and his hands began billowing out what was seemingly steam rising from his hands, aswell, steam billowed from the back of his neck and his face. Cracking the door open, he spoke on sentence, "Time to go to work..." ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- This RPG will be taking place in the famous Marvel Comics "Ultimates" universe, meaning the coolness that comes with Spider Man, the X-Men, the Fantastic Four, The Daredevil, The Punisher, Nick Fury, Luke Cage, and all of them. The story is based around the different superheroes (and villains) coping with a new kid on the block with a mysterious power, and even more mysterious origins. The only thing really known about the new fighter is that he is young, and has a nasty vendetta against the Korean Underworld in New York, and the tighs they have with the Villains of the Marvel U., and apparently the one man who runs all crime in New York City. The new hero seems to be on the good side, but this is not know to all due to his questionable practices, such as killing those he fights, or atleast, intending to. The new character, who's nick name, according to him, is "Juche", a Korean word for the man who masters his destiny, as the heroes eventually find out. But as the heroes come to deal with the new guy, the eventually find themselves on a road to taking down one of, if not the, biggest crime lord in all of New York and all those who he employs. This is where the immediate recruiting comes into play. Instead of original or spun on characters, I want the participators to take the roles of real Marvel characters. Heroes and Villains (I'd rather there be more heroes). There will be one customized villain, but I want the person who takes this role to PM me first, so that I may give them the rules of this character, and who he/she is exactly to the story. If you are not acute on the Marvel Universe's "Ultimates" characters, I suggest you check out this website: http://www.marvel.com/universe/index.htm This will allow you to select whatever hero you wish as long as their based in New York, which is a pretty large crowd. The X-Men, Avengers, Fantastic Four, and all the other heroes listed above are just a few. Now as for the initial flow of this RPG, I will be implementing the Chapter System (titled Issue Sysem for this Comic Book RPG) made popular by Kill Adam. I will be posting who are to post, the guidelines of what to post, at what times they are to post, and how much they should post. This will make sure that the RPG does not die down. It will also insure that people will not get jumbled in confused post and they will not get writer's block, because of the guidelines. If you just go with the flow, not only will we have fun, but we will also insure a successful RPG (a rariety here). And on that note, here are the sign ups. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Hero: (The name of the hero) Real Name: (The real name of the hero, such as Peter Parker) Age: (Since this is the Ultimates, some X-Men and Spider Man are teenagers) Powers: (Self explanitory, what does your character do? This is explained at the recommended website) Height/Weight: Eye/Hair Color: Base of Operation: (This too is self explanitory. Such as the Xavier Institute for all X-Men) Short Bio: (Just a short bio on your character. Can be found at the website. Feel free to make your own if your knowledgible though.) ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- And thats it! I hope for this to be my first truely successful RPG, and the way I have employed the Rules and Chapter System, it should be sure fire thing if the participators are dedicated. Lets get crackin'. BTW- The character Nick Fury is reservated for ColourDeaf. PM me if you have any questions concerning the RPG.

Cool, and thank you very much. I am also honoured. Now, we need to get back onto the track of the RPG, "Juche!", and if you didn't know before hand, Juche is the korean word meaning the superior man who masters his own destiny. That too might point towards my character's powers. I really hope more people than me and my comrade ColourDeaf are interested in this. Oh, and Luke Cage is a second-tier character in the Marvel U. He is a black super hero who was sent to prison after being framed for heroine possesion. In Prison, he was tested with a super human syrum (much like Captain America's, another playable character) which gave him considerable super strenght and unbreakable skin, like Collossus, but without the shiny metal. He started the "Hero For Hire Inc." with his freind, and martial arts, bad boy super hero Iron Fist, set based in Harlem, where Cage is from. And now you know... PS- A not to those who aren't closely acute in the Marvel U. You can still get the info without buying the comics so that you can select a character of choice. Just go hear: http://www.marvel.com Enjoy!

Actually thats not that much an original idea if you consider the Matt Murdock's training as a samurai before the "Spider Clan" book was made and the fact that Wolverine was actually formerely involved with the Samurai Clan, the Yashida. So Spidey's just another one. As for ''putting a spin on the character's", I considered htat as a possibility, but I thought it would just be easier to have the villains and heroes remain as they were so that relationships between heroes and villains wouldn't change. Like if someone put a spin on a character, they would might aswell build from the ground up what relationships they have, and I really don't think that would play out well in the story since I have already calculated those relations in the RPG's story. But it does give me an Idea for a future "Marvel Alternaverse" RPG in the future. Kind of reminds me of "Crisis On Infitite Earths". Can you say "Evil X-Men"? Oh, and your Spyda character seems more like a mix between Luke Cage and Spiderman than anyhting. Just saying. But it would be cool in the "Alternaverse" discussed above. Maybe we could plot that out together.

And Yes, Fury does make a good black guy. I would invite you to play him. Just make sure that his role as S.H.E.I.L.D. Director is played out well and that his feild action is justifiable. (Although he really doesn't need an excuse. He is super human.) Unfortunatley no. Most of my Spidey knowledge comes from "Ultimate Spider-Man", The Spider Man Cartoon, Movies, and the Official Marvel Spider Man Guide. I never read about the Spider Clan though. It sounds cool though. Oh! And if any are interested, you are free to play super villains and with this, I will allow one created character, but when sign ups are up, I will need the person to PM me first because there are a few guide lines. But I rather more people play regular super villains such as Venom (no sure what he's doing these days, but if you can make it work) Doc Ock, The Scorpion, The Rhino, you know, mainly New York based super villains closley related to underground/gang crimes. Oh, and every one don't forget the Punisher, he could really be a major rival to Chris Yim, seeing as how he has a personal vendetta against gang violence and that exactly the kind of crime Chris will be involved with. P.S.- "Ultimate X-Men" is where its at. One word for ya, ColourDeaf, "Apocolypse"!

See, for a while I've been plotting an RPG/Comic Book story focused around a new character introduced into the Marvel Comics Universe. Mostly based around the "Ultimates" characters (alá Ultimate Spiderman, X-Men, and Avengers) meaning a teenage Spiderman, younger X-Men, and a black Nick Fury. But on top of that, it will include heroes such as Daredevil, Luke Cage, and Elektra because the story will take place in New York City (which just happens to be a super hero boiling pot). Instead of having players use created characters, I would rather them use the set superheroes of the Marvel U. And Luckily that adds up. The story will be out of continuity at the current point of story, but the character will be allowed (encouraged more like) to use references to past story lines. But its not a requirment since not everybody (including myselfs) keeps up with the monthlies. The story is based around mainly the emergence of a new character to the Marvel U. as I said before. A Korean/Chinese-American by the name of Chris Yim. Orphaned and homeless mysteriously at the age of 14, the story takes off when he reaches the age 16 and realizes his grand power, as well he meets up with everyone's favorite wall crawler while robbing a liquor store no less. (living on the streets, he robs and pick pockets for the essentials such as food and an occasional roof over his head.) After the duke it out a bit over the current situation, Chris tries to explain his actions to an opened eared Peter Parker, who sympathizes with the orphans story (incase you didn't know, good ole Pete had been orphaned before). As the goes, our new 'semi-hero' is left alone, only to be confronted a week after by Spider-Man, who has the adress of Chris' uncle, who's local in Brooklyn. When Chris finally meets his uncle, he finds that he is a generally cheerful and generous man contrary to the fact that he smokes pot and sells boot legs for a living. After coming to amends with him, Chris' uncle reveals the reason why his parents were murdered (I won't get into it too deeply) and this opens Chris' eyes to the truth about his fathers former occupation. Over a period of time, Chris begins contemplating his vengeance against his parents killers and his father's past. This takes him and the heroes he meets (no always freindly greeters) threw several super villains and eventually a King of New York who's name I won't reveal just yet. (Bet some can guess.) And thats when the story resolves. Now I know what many of you are thinking. 'Hey, this sounds more like a comic story line rather than an RPG.' Well, that was the original intention, but thanks to the Chapter System introduced by "Kill Adam" (aswell as its character driven story lines) I was able to the story to a Chapter Based RPG dealing with all the character indivualy at different times. Meaning, I can shape the events, confrontations, and fights using the control the Chapter System incorperates. So I can go threw introducing my character in "Issue 1" of the story arc, and then have him meet a hero in "Issue 2" and then battle a bad guy side by side in "Issue 3". Depending on the number of players, the RPG will vary in lenght. Aswell, its not all going to be based around Chris (played by me) but several conversations and confrontations (revelations?) between other players/characters. Say two people play X-Men, Wolverine and Cyclops for example. They can have conversation about how they should handle the situations (maybe have a conversation debating if the character is a mutant or not). It can all work out very well because of the incorperated Chapter System (which I will call Issue System because of the set up) because 1.) There will be guide lines to keep people from getting severe writer's block. 2.) I can control the number of posts so that a jumble of confused posts don't occur. And 3.) The different plot twists and turns can be controlled to form a very well crafted and solid story. It all falls into place. Now, I have left out much of the story line that I have set and the origin of my character (aswell as the origin of his powers and what his powers are exactly) this is because I want some suprise and plot twists to remain intact. And I ask you, the Otakuboards (and much thanks to this nifty new lounge) what do ya think? Interested in joining? Does this catch you? Think its a good idea?

Anime why dont people put anime movies in theatre!!!
Zen replied to mr dude guy's topic in Otaku Central
Hey, "I, Robot" looks cool! Any ways thats besides the point. Anime movies are basically forgein films, and you really don't see many foreign films in theaters unless there really hyped and big-budgeted, that might also be a reason why it has a small market and little money-making capabilites. Anyways, I really wouldn't care if they did or didn't air them in theaters. I'd much rather buy the DVD (something I'm kidna new too anyways). When I say big budget, a good case in point is "Akira", "Ghost in the Shell", and "Cowboy Bebop: The Movie". All hugely budgeted anime (may CB with an exception, but it was already well known) that made it into theaters. So you can't say that anime is never aired, just rarley. Its basically treated the same as any other foreign flicks. Its like the differance of "Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon" making it, and "Red Dragon Fist" not making it. Atleast thats my opinion. -

Extra Subjects: -Use of Oversized Weapons -Magic Casting -Metalwork and Forgery -Transformation -Counselling -Villain Ethics Accommodation: School Dorm Room Lavishly Decorated. Bio: Born in the Ryukyu Islands, in which he took his name, The Prince of the Netherealm was sent to Earth by his father, the King of the Neatherealm, to conquer and enslave the planet's population with haste and covertness. Something the over the top Prince really knew nothing of. Ryukyu Mishiama the 13th is a fake name that Prince with a name so complex it would take seven tongues and three minutes to pronounce made up so that he wouldn't seem suspicious. Adding "The 13th" because he liked how it sounded. The Prince's first task was to infiltrate society and take it from inside out. Knowing nothing of subtlty, the over the top Prince quickly unleashed his secret identity to a High School that really didn't beleive him. Soon getting annoying with his loudness and constant laughter, the High School staff had him transfered to his current High School for "Strange and Special" Students. Atleast he was some what normal their. From there on, The maniacal and robust Ryukyu recruited a reluctant following of minions, many of which dislike their job, but keep quite in fear they will be OBLITERATED!!! MWHUAHAHAHAHA!!!... Excuse me. Many students are annoyed by the loud mouth and insane attitude that the Prince displays, but say nothing because they fear being OBLITERATED, I mean, because they really have no room to talk themselves. Ever since transfered, Ryukyu started trying to take over the school, but to little avail, he still keeps at it. He hopes this year he may get lucky... Other than this, the only information need to be known about the Prince is that he is prone to spouts of uncontrollably evil laughter and shouts loudly atleast once in every sentence he speaks. His voice being raspy and deep, this makes for an excellent evil laugh and speaking ability. This often times annoys the Staff members, but they try to ignore it just as they do with similar students. Special Powers and Abilites: Master of dark magic and the use of Oversized Weapons, that being his sword, the Soul Buster. Many of the attacks that the insane student favors resort in giant, many times mushroom cloud, explosions and Earthquake enducing force. Able to shoot small to large, luminous beams and balls of energy from his palms and flashes of power from his sword. Aswell, he can drain the souls of his fallen opponents with his swords soul draining orb, which causes him to become even more powerful. The master of Dark Magic's favorite saying, always being "All your soul is belong to me! MWUHAHAHAHAHA!!!" Sworn Enemy: All Staff and Hero's who stand in his way. Solo, I do plan Domination of this school! Next... The World! Mwuhahahahaha! -
Name: Miguel Gonzalez Code Name: Kanine (misspelt on purpose) Age: 16 Gender: Male Appearence: Mutation Powers: Miguel was born with the mutant ability to transform into a semi-canine/human form in which his skin grows a short layer of grey and black fur and his finger and toe nails grow thick and long, sharpened at the tip. Aswell, his face and body frame go threw a transformation in which he grows slightly taller and hunches, his jaw slowly growing into a snout like a dog or wolf, and his teeth sharpening considerably. Threw this transformation, Miguel gains extra strenght, far trailing that of Collossus, but still powerful none the less. His animalistic speed and instinct are also increased considerably, rivaling that of "Wolverine". But there is a down side to the abilities Miguell gains due to this transformation. That being he parshly loses control of his own self logic and thought, reverting to a more ferocious and monstorous instinct. This often leads to him having to be snapped out of his state (which is something he has trouble doing) or being sedated by tranquelizers. After transformation, Miguel's memories of the actions he had partaken in are fuzzy and clouded. These inconveniences have incouraged the need to be taken to the Xavier Insitute, so that he may curve these hardships, and possibly, allow him to control his powers at will. Originally From: Suburbs of Dallas, Texas Affiliation: X-Men Known Family: Antonio Gonzalez (father-single) Mary Gonzalez (mother-deceased) Personality: Miguel is generally a sarcastic and slightly arrogant young man who is usually lethargic by his own looks. He is actually wide awake, but his attitude and facial features makes him look as though he sleepy or has just awoken. He enjoys boxing and fighting in general, but is haunted by his own powers, which causes him to go out of control, a position he highly dislikes, and has begun to fear. He has a dislike for some of the students at the Institute, for reason's he mainly keeps to himself. But he is trying to over come those problems ever since he realized he would have to always deal with them. But other than making freinds and maintaining a social status, his main concern has been his training and education in the managment of his powers, for he fears that some day, he will regret what he does in his animal state. Biography: It was dark outside, and very cold. The bitter wind licked my bare skin, then it hit me and I awoke, looking around. I was outside, and I had awoken. By pajama pants had torn and I was splashed in a bright array of crimson... I smelt like a farm animal. All of a sudden, it came back to me. The cloudy visions of my clawed hands and my sharpened fingernails ripping the hide of sheep and lambs. I quickly looked to my palms to see dried blood covering my fingers. I felt a sickening feeling in my stomache and quickly I came to my knees and hands and I vomitted a splash of red all over the dewey grass. I rose to my feet slowly and shakingly and looked around. I knew were I was, a small farm a mile off from my home. I felt weak and tired, but I could make it. My legs felt like old jello as I tried to walk, nearly tripping several times. I finally made it to the out skirted wood of the main road after a while and I made my long journey home, scared and cold, hiding in the brush and trees. When I got home, I quickly took a shower, and luckily, my father was working graveyard shift, so he knew nothing of it. By the time he got home, I was laying in bed, hungry and sickened by the still looming smell. I kept quite about it, and tried to forget everything, even though the story of the several dead sheep and lambs was all over the news papers two days afterwards. My heart was in my stomache that entire week. This had never happened before. So why now? What had happened to me? Thats the only thing I could think of for the following week. Up until it happened again the next month. I had woken up not in a strange place, but in my bathroom. I quickly rose to my feet, checking for animal blood and injury, but to no avail. What did horrify however was the site of my own eyes reverting from a deep shade of crimson red to its normal brown, and my skin retracting traces of black hair... I panicked and looked to my hands to see claws, hard and thick, retracting into my fingernails and my hands shrinking quickly with a sickening cracking sound. I screamed and vomitted into the sink. Then I fell down once again, unconcious. The next time I woke up, I was in a hospital bed, my father holding my hand bedside. He nearly weaped of joy when he saw my eyes open and he quickly hugged me. He looked tired and haggard from a hard days (and nights) work. Apparently, I had awoken just in time to find the doctor coming into the room with some good and horrible news. The good news was that I hadn't suffered any injury other than minor head trauma from hitting my head when I fainted. The bad news was that in the blood test, the found something strange. Later on, they told me and my father that it was the mutant gene and that it was the cause of my recent black outs and my monstorous growth. I was fourteen then. Two years past, and by that time, I had slowly gained the ability to transform at will, which helped me to curve the transformational sleep walking I had been doing, always, I transformed in a controled space, and I did it enough times to the point that I could slightly control my own actions. But that was a rare and powerful struggle I had to with hold. At that time, a man named Professor Scott Summers arrived at my door step. He informed me of my condition, and also how it could be curved by attending the special university, funded by a Professor Charles Xavier, and name I had heard repeatedly on the news. I very much so wanted to refuse. Reasons being that I didn't want to leave my father alone in the undecent home we lived in. But it was he who made me go, for my own good and well being. I cried the day I left and hugged my father one last time... When I arrived at the University, I felt a feeling of lonliness and shiness, a rare emotion. But after my first two weeks, I felt another rare emotion. Happiness and welcome. The students and teachers were very accepting, aswell, they were always happy to help me sort out any of my personal problems. I'm still a new student here at the Institute, but I feel a strange feeling, a feeling as though I am home... ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Please inform me if anything needs to be changed.

This is by far one of my favorite shows. People may say that its only cashing in on the success of "I Love The 80's" but actually this is the show I've been waiting for so that I could relate to it (seeing as how thats the decade I grew up in). I especially enjoy the "Jay and Silent Bob Rename Your Favorite Shows" Segment. Hilarious. "Hey Television People! Its the Baddest Mother ****ers On The Planet. Jay And Silent Bob! ****ing Deal with it ****ies!" Classic.

I was watching I Love the 90's last night (persecute me if you will) and I came to the conclusion that my four favorite director's are all Indie Film directors. Quentin Tarantino, Robert Rodriguez, M. Night Shymalan(sp?), and Kevin Smith undoubtedly make some of the coolest flicks I've ever seen, and probably ever will, aswell, they all are (or atleast started out as) Indipendent Film Directors. I've really been itching to make a thread on these four directors, probably the most famous of their breed, ever since I came to the conclusion. I'll start by posting the directors and their movies to refresh your memories. Quentin Tarantino Resovoir Dogs Pulp Fiction Jackie Brown Kill Bill Vol. 1 & 2 Kevin Smith Clerks Mallrats Chasing Amy Dogma Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back (aswell is a well known comic book scribe.) Robert Rodriguez El Mariachi Desperado Once Upon A Time In Mexico Spy Kids Spy Kids 2: Island of Lost Dreams Spy Kids 3D M. Night Shymalan The Sixth Sense Unbreakable Signs The Village (coming soon the theaters) Okay, lets get some comments out on these directors. Bad or good. My favorite out of the four is a tie between Kevin Smith and Quentin Tarantino. But then again, they make really different movies. For action and plot twists, it would be QT. For humor, straight and uncut, it would be KS. If Robert Rodriguez wouldn't have made those Spy Kids movies and averted his attention to something... better. He may have taken QT's spot as Action flicks go. But then again, I guess he's going for range as a director. QT on the other hand, makes mainly a specific kind of movie and uses his signature 'out of order' story telling in all of his movies (unless he doesn't use it in Jackie Brown. Havn't seen that yet). Rodriguez used the same invention in a sort of way in Once Upon A Time In Mexico. M. Night Shymalan makes the best thrillers I would say, not horror movies, but thrillers and suspense movies. (Built up enough suspense to make me jump at an alien strolling out of a bush in Signs.) They all really make different types of movies and glow in different fields.

Yes, Rocks it does. Now onto subject. I do like DW (heh heh, that Arthur's sister's name... heh heh.), but his evil escapades must be ended. I love the commercial (and yes, you do look like Moses, namely with that robe), its hilarious. You should make some banners and stuff with that. It'd rock pretty hard... pretty hard indeed. Its time for another rotation. If it wouldn't be so much trouble, I was wondering if you one of you finely skilled banner and avatar artists wouldn't mind widdling me up a set of those. It would like it to feature a pic of Samuel L. Jackson in Pulp Fiction (a movie I recently fell in deep love with). For the avatar, if you could I'd like it of him in the diner of the last scene where he's sitting down at his booth. For the banner, have him pointing his gun at Ringo (the last scene, same setting.) And thats about it. I'd like best if it were good pic quality and the banner was going down the barrel (when he was pointing it at Ringo). If you could do that, I'd be highly appreciative. :D Thanks for trying. Flux

OOC: Real sorry for taking so long. Just gets mixed up. IC: The well-endowed carraige of Duchess Guinivere came to a small dip in the dirt path, causing her tiara to once again become disheveled. She quickly adjusted it as Mothias began speaking in repliance to her question. "Its merely that the Baron's demise has slightly troubled me, my lady." Mothias replied in a deep, almost thuggish tone, as if attempting to sound sarcastic. "You, troubled over a bit of contreversial blood shed? Sir Mothias, the most well known and fearsome knight of all of Tyberay, destraut over death? Why is this, my knight?" The Duchess spoke in a tone as if addressing a small and fearful child. The Knight sniggered slightly at her speaking. "My madam, this is because I beleive that the Baron's death, is just one in a long list. A list that may infact have your named signed, somewhere along the line." Mothias replied as if trying to spook the reaching arrogant Duchess. She raised an eyebrow a hummed to herself aggrivatedly. As if she were trying to come to a reply that she could not muster. The Knight stopped his head, placing his elbows on his knees and hanging his head. He then looked up to her with a smile. "No worries, m'lady. Sir Mothias is by your side. Hahaha!" Mothias said with a smiling, and then laughing a bit arrogantly as he sat himself up to catch a breath afterwards. The Duchess smiled aswell, and shook her head. She still felt distressed by the knights statement however.... A bit of lenght down the road, the carriage began to shake a bit, as if the horses were troubled. Mothias and the Duchess thought not much of it. But it caught Mothias' attention when the carriage stopped completely. "Driver.... Driver?!" Mothias called out a bit. He looked towards the wall of the carriage to find a reply to no avail. "Somethings not right..." Mothias said, "Duchess, sit tight while I investigate this... perdicament..." he finished, then he opened the door slowly, peaking out of the door, he looked side to side, to find nothing out of ordinary. Mothias stepped out of the door and onto the brown dirt road. He peaked over to see a dead driver, his head hanging over the laquered wood of the carriage, dripping blood to the ground where a puddle accumilated. Mothias' face was shocked, he quickly stepped forward quickly and look on top the carriage, and sure as he thought, stood a fairly strong figure, standing in a deep black cloak, of which its hood shadowed its unknown face. "I do beleive I have business with the Duchess, sire." the cloak spoke out in a manly voice from its shadowy mouth. It drew twin daggers with blades swurved like a slithering snake, the carriage driver's blood still freshly coating its fine-metal face. Mothias drew his sabers quickly and held them out towards the assassin, prepared for combat. "Well... I do beleive I can speak for her momentarily..." Mothias said with a smile in the same thuggish tone, whipping his blades in a circle held in his hands. "Momentarily it shall be..." the cloak spoke in a deathly tone, jumping down from the carriage with dagers drawn....

Match the Actor or Actress with the three movies
Zen replied to ChibiHorsewoman's topic in Noosphere
Might it be Patrick Stewart? I'm not real keen on his roles, so forgive me if the answer is wrong. Lets See: Once Upon A Time In Mexico Edward Scissorhands Don Juan -
I've been on and off of the OBs for about a year now. I started off as Doube_B_Daigo. The club leader with horrible grammar and a taste for Wolfwood banners (aswell with arguements over fan-fic Yaoi with maladjusted with lasted for pages). Then I moved to my current pad, in which time my AOL account wouldn't allow me onto the OBs. I became Moderator of a smaller, less intelligent board (complete with SPAM area and One paragraph RPGs) and brought the OB flavor into the place with an Adventure Arena revolving around the OB's old rules. Created the ReFlux persona while there and started typing in green size one font. Eventually when v.7 was created, I was able to rejoin the OBs as ReFlux, a more mature member. :D Here are some OB moments I'll always remeber: - Creating the Armegeddon Gang and starting that little revolution. - Being challenged on a daily, almost hourly basis at the Battle Arena. - The good 'ole Rap Battle Thread that lasted longer than any previous post at the BA. - Rivalries at that battle with Kazuko and Drix D'zanth. - Being awarded 'cAttitude' by the great Charles. - My Trigun RPGs. - The first and very successful "War of the Shadows" RPG. - Kill Adam Vol. 1 - The Kill Adamania that followed. - Maladjusted's "OB Wraiths" Banner. - The Martial Arts and Philosophy Threads Taken Way Outta Hand. - The Second Rap Battle Thread. - Actually being nominated for the Otaku Awards. - Leaving the OBs for a short period. - Bringing Shiguru with me in my return from the pink darkness that was GF. - Dragon Warrior's Short Stories. - Dragon Warrior's animations and banners. - Semjaza Azazel's posts. - Charles rapping. - Charles locking the rap battle thread. - My Kill Adam Vol. 2 Sign up (and the inspiration it has hear out given me.) - The always cool and generous Ruby and our conversations. - The stange relationship between me and Trigun11. - Getting asian_bullet to stop posting after beating him in rap battles on several occasions.... (man I'm good) Thats all I can really recall at the moment. I'm sure more will come up.

I'm still smiling man. That was some good stuff. I can't really describe it, but it was quite hilarious. "We need more sales so I can buy more Kill Bill Merchandise!".... Ahhh. That was good. Good Job, DW. Can't wait for Episode 2, if there will be one.

Real sorry about that "Its not Anime" thing, Dagger. Must have been a typo of some sort. I know full well that the show is anime. Its one of my favorite anime. Sorry, sorry. I still forget what exactly I was trying to say, but I know for sure it is anime, why else would I have said it is one of my favorite anime in the same posts. Sorry again for the confusion. As for the other two shows that will be airing, I had no idea about. I really can't wait, that sounds awsome. I though FMA was the only one debuing. Where do you get your info from?

Hey iggypopD, in Trigun
Knives didn't necessarily die. No fatal shot was made in the first place, Vash merely shot him in a spot where he wouldn't be able to move his limbs. It is still very possible Knives is alive. Aswell, Vash said he would "Save Knives", which may have meant to kill him, but more than likely show him the way to the light and a better life. So unless he is shot in the head, I'm not buying his dead (aswell seeing as how much injury Vash has put up with, I doubt for bullets to unlethal spots will put him out of it).
And now you know. Oh, and sorry about not posting spoiler tags, Dagger. I assumed that the nature of the thread was warning enough. My bad.

"Case Closed" has become on of my little hidden obsessions. Its like watching old episodes or Dragon Ball Z or what not. Its not a kiddy anime, but is still maintains that almost cutesy and quirky style while still maintaining that real mature theme. Adult Swim deffinetely made a good move by tagging it with their lable (the show was originally called "Detective Conan", but they went ahead with the much cooler name, "Case Closed"). The show is like watching an episode of "CSI" or "Law and Order", but with cool cartoon characters and an almost unbeleiavable main character (you gotta admit, the whole drug making him shrink is kinda corny). I enjoy watching how the plot unfolds slowly with every little clue coming into its place, aswell, I like checking out the "Conan Hint" at the end of the episode so I can also have fun by trying to solve the mystery myself. To me, that more interactive than any card game a show can throw at you. But all in all, my favorite episodes of "Case Closed" have to be the two parters with the really weird and unusual plots. Transvestite doctor/murderer, married cousins, yadda yadda. Thats cool, aswell the better episodes are the murder mysteries, because there's more on the line. "Case Closed" has become one of my favorite episodes and I watch whenever I can. Two thumbs way up on Adult Swim's part. Oh yeah, and a little tid bit, [adult swim] is supposed to start airing "Full Metal Alchemist" starting Januraury. Lets all look out for that.

Yeah, and not to be racist, but not the average white man belongs to a west coast street gang. Fits the part better than a mobster wearing a hawaiin shirt and acid wash jeans. :p Now back to business. I am a huge fan of Vice City, and the fact you can go threw out a state really blows me away. Its amazing how much work and improvment they have put into the game. I'm looking forward to the bikes personally, aswell as the thicker story line. But my favorite part is gonna be the character health maintenance and the enhanced hand to hand combat system. Thats gonna be cool. Maybe they'll incorperate learning martial arts or something into the game. But even without that, its gonna be cooler than the basic "punch, punch, punch and floor stomping" from the previous games. I can't wait.
