Thats good except for one detail. If you could, add on a little more to your biography about how and were your character was trained in the arts of Ninjutsu. Like where his clan was, and why he left it.

"Glory and Honor.... the principle of which history is made....The principle of which men follow, and men make history... " -*Glory and Honor*- A Small Coastal Town of China "Nihao Village", 1972 For years, Nihao Village was run, basically, by the Chinese Triad, using the small towns weak police force and business opportunity to their advantage, the Village was easily taken over and the Triad rule with an iron fist. But when a young man named Kuang Lou stood up to the Traid with his group of martial artist and vigilant men, fighting for justice out side of the law, they nearly took the town back, but several of the martial artist died in their first daring raid on the Triad's headquarters in Nihao. Shamed by his defeat and the loss of the brave warriors who so faithfully followed him into battle, Kuang Lou left the village and moved to Hong Kong were he spent the remainder of his days meditating and trying to reach peace of mind.... little known to him, that life on Nihao Village was soon to be subject to change. Eight months after Kuang Lou left to Hong Kong, several Japanese members of the Yakuza came to Nihao Village in order to take control of the Opium Operation that the Triads had begun. The Yakuza having much more immediate power, including modern guns and well trained fighters, they took power in Nihao Village. Things changed quickly. For when the Triad ruled, they held respect for the Chinese people, their beleifs, and they let them live as long as the Triad was left to their own business, but as soon as the Yakuza took power, everything went down hill. The Yakuza were brutal to the Chinese people, forcing beleifs and cultural ways to them, and making several poor village people work as slaves in the Opium and Cocaine factories. The Chinese people, who refused, were mercilessly slaughtered, and the people who could no longer work, were slaughtered as well. The Yakuza desimated the town in full and took control over everything, and no one could stop them... Nihao Village, 1973 A year after the Yakuza took power of Nihao Village, one of the surviving raider's from the Triad attacks called the villages last hero, Kuang Lou, to come back too end the horrible plight of the villagers. At first, Kuang refused, knowing there was nothing he could do, but after hearing of the brutal ways of the Yakuza, Kuang's mind slowly began to change... After several days of consideration, Kuang forced himself to re-enter his old state of mind, and he re-kindled the old fire that used to burn so ferociously within his spirit. Kuang left, too Nihao village soon after... Now, Kuang is entering Nihao Village, ready to be welcomed by old friends, and new enemies. He prepares himself for what will be the fight of his life.... --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- This RPG will be played out like a movie with events happening and leading up to the eventual raid of the Yakuza's building were Kuang will face several henchmen and warriors who are at the level of other wordely. Please, play along ,and don't rush things. This RPG takes place in the early '70s and in a small chinese village so there isn't any modern things such as cell phones and TV is scarce, so make note of the time period and region. Kuang, played by me, will fight along side 4 warriors, 2 from his old possé, and 2 from the former Triad, who, while very ataganistic towards Kuang, have agreed to fight along side him for the better of the village and the redence of the Japanese Yakuza. I need 2 people to play the role of the old possé and two people to play the role fo the Triad, and I will need someone to play 1 or 2 new recruits from the villagers. Kuang and the gang will encounter several Yakuza gangs as he takes out smaller establishments one by one. Each time he will meet a member of the Yakuza, one who is an incredible fighter and uses Japanese martial arts. Kuang will not fight them to much directly, but on the final raid, they will fight no holds barred. So, I need 2-3 people to play Yakuza leaders. Your characters will be beaten, maybe even killed, at the end of the RPG, but they will still hold a long life, so please consider them as your choice. Plus, you get to use Katana's! One last thing, there is no super martial arts like ki blasts and tree breaking kicks, this is the real deal, think like Tekken kind of martial arts. Also, it will play out like a movie, so I will start scenes were characters are necessary. Once I end a scene, you will not post until your are needed in the next scene. This'll play out a bit like the famous "Kill Adam". It'll be organized, so it will make more sense and be less jumbled, and therefore, more fun! Thank you for signing up in advance and I hope you enjoy! PS- they'll be several NPC's I'll be controlling just so ya know. And if your a Yakuza, you have control over you henchmen, who are basically morons with sticks. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Sign Ups: -Name -Age -Height -Weight -Physical Description -Persona -Martial Art Training History (If your Chinese or Triad, you'll have to use any form of Chinese Martial Art, and if your Japanese, you'll use any form of Japanese martial arts. No mixing though, please.) -Weapons (since the Yakuza rule the town so harshly, there are no real weapons in the form of swords. The highest form of weapon a Chinese can get is a Nunchaku, Stick, Bo Staff, or a Knife. If your Triad, your basically subject to the same, except maybe you can get more knives or one sword, basic though. Yakuza can use Katana, Naginata, Bo Staff, anything thats japanese.) -Biography: (biography of your character, make the Bio tie closely to how you character learned martial arts and what significy he/she has to the story.) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- My Sign Up: -Name: Kuang Lou -Age: 21 -Height: 5'10" -Weight: 139 lbs -Physical Description: Kuang has a dark tan with defined featrues and sharp cheek bones. His hair is jet black and messly combed back, his eyes are jade green. He is lean and nearly all muscle. He can be seen usually wearing a silk chinese suit in either green or blue. -Persona: Kuang is humble, humorous, and helping. He rather not fight unless necessary and is a deep thinker into the ways of the martial arts and philosophy of humanity. He seems simple on his exterior and rarily reveals his deep and serious side. -Martial Art Training History: Kuang is an impressive practioner of Wing Chun and Southern Fist Gung Fu. He is good with in-fighting and long range. He has also dabbled in the art of Tai Chi, but only uses it to develop his Chi. -Weapons: Kuang prefers not to use weapons, but it talented with a Bo Staff and Nunchaku. -Biography: Kuang was born in Beijing, but moved to Nihao at young age. When he reached Nihao, he found it to be a boring town and found immediate interest in learning chinese martial arts from the older master outside of the village and he did several chores for the man in return for martial arts lessons. At first, Kuang only embraced the fighting side of the martial art, but after learning from the old man the spiritual and mental ways of the arts, he was changed forever into the man he is today. When the Triad took over the town, Kuang and a few fellow students of the old man, and the towns vigilant men to action against them and led a revolt, heading to the Triads center of operation, but when the raid failed, Kuang was forever indebted with the lost lifes of the brave men who followed him into battle. Kuang then left the village of Nihao and moved to Hong Kong off the shore. Then the Yakuza came into the town and took over. After a year of his leave, Kuang was called once again too fight for the town. Reluctant due to his last failure. Kuang forced himself the re-ignite his lost flame and fighting spirit and now pursue's Nihao Village were he has sworn not to fail again...

One note, if you look into Kiddy Grade the right way, it highly, HIGHLY resembles Star Wars Episode One if you look at it the right way. Or atleast, the first episode highly resembles it. Another American influence. And Cowboy Bebop uses alot of American culture, and little, if any japanese culture. The music, the style of the character (only one is japanese), the settings, the way that language is translated, the American Signs and Logos threw out, all of it is highly American, preferably pointing towards 70's culture. Much like the "Mushroom Samba", "Stray Dog Strut", and "Asteroid Blues". I truely love that show and its creators for making something American's can relate too. (PS- Look at this: Jet is pretty much Shaft from the '70's show and Spike is Bruce Lee, the late and famous '70's movie star. Cool, huh?)
Which Britsh rappers HAVE you heard? Cause Dizzy Rascal aint really a good artist to base your entire views off. He has his redeeming qualities, but he is rather, err... odd on that scene. Try The Streets. They're awesome. ~CrH~
I'll try the Streets although I have no clue who I was listening too. But the thick accent just kills me to listen too. Its nothing against ya, but I just don't think rapping like that sounds right. German rappers don't really have much accent when they spit in English, so I don;t see why the British rappers have on.
-
CrH: (think you could type a little smaller?) I'd like to check those guys out, but my immediate expirience with British rappers kinda turns me off anyone who raps and isn't American or German (they are pretty damn good.) But I learned most of that when I lived in Germany. Maybe Aussie Rappers are better. Altron: I used to like Linkin Park, but I have since noticed that most of there songs are repetitive about the same things over and over. I only like a few of their songs. The only members that I really like are Mike Mizota and Mr. Han. Chester is okay, but he needs to widen his vocab.

I think we've seen the result of this in the form of Teen Titans and Tottally Spies. Which TT is great, or atleast in my eyes, and TS sucks hard. And it has happened in Manga too, where the writer of "Dark Angel" and "Silent Mobius" did a translation on Star Wars Episode One and The first Star Wars. It really depends on who the creator is and their dedication to it. With Star Wars, it turned out great because 1. the creator was a japanese manga artist and 2. he knows what the recipe for success is. Teen Titans is good, but some people dislike it. I love it, but some see it as using manga style art to add to popularity. While Tottally Spies is just... I don't know how to put it. Too random and it doesn't make much since. But I would't mind seeing maybe a japanese company taking a shot at Hellboy or the X-Men. Might turn out good.

Well, WuTang has basically disperessed since ODB was incarcerated. He now goes by Dirt McGirt and is signed with Rockafella Records now. I used to like his stuff and I'd like to get his Album when it is released. WuTang and G-Unit are the only "Gangsta" Rap groups I like, and thats because WuTang was one of the Original's since NWA and G-Unit is probably one of the best out now, especially with Lloyd Banks (who is arguebly better than both 50 Cent and Young Buc) in the group. I'd like to get his solo album. Now as far as NERD goes, your right, I love them. I love all of there colaberation songs aswell. "Light Yo A-- On Fire" and "Change Clothes" are few of my favorites. I havn't heard Handsome Boy Modeling School, although I've heard of them. I gotta check them out. As far as Outkast goes, I've been a fan since 6th grade when I first heard "The Whole World" off of ''Stankonia" but I've heard some of there early albums and liked those too. "Speakerboxxx/The Love Below" are also excellent albums. Another new artist I'm sort of moving towards now is J-Kwon. I just like how he raps. I mean, he's no Ludacris or Lloyd Banks, but he is okay and has potential to get better. And I do wish that both Redman and Eric Sermon would release a new album. I havn't heard of them ever since they collabed with each other on "React" in 2001.

I noticed alot during my time at the OBs. And one of the biggest things I noticed is that the most members either hate rap, or just don't listen too it. I was wondering for several reason, why this is? And are there any members out there that do like Hip Hop or Rap music? I just wanna discuss it here. Tell me your favorite artists, why you love them so, and who do you dislike? I am a huge fan of real hip hop music, the lively stuff with a semi-positve message or the funny stuff. My favorite EmCee's are Frog One (THUG soundtrack) J-Live (THUG Sountrack) Quassimoto (THUG Soundtrack), Ludacris, Missy Elliot, Outkast, Jay-Z, Kanye West, Wu Tang Clan, Lloyd Banks (who now has an album of his own), 50 Cent (Banks is better, but I like him okay), and Jin (just a funny guy). My favorite DJ's are by far the Invisibl Skratch Piklz led by the one and only DJ Q*Bert. They have since disbanded, but they are still the best. If I were to put all my favorite artists and EmCee's, this list would be quite long, so I'll wait. But, lets discuss hip hop.

I'll give this a shot. Be my first comedy RPG. Name: "Sleepy" Mike Stukosis Nickname: "Sandman" Age: 19 Gender: Male Looks: A Light tan with a dark complexion. He has dark auburn hair and deep hazel eyes that are hard to see due to his sleepy facial expression. 5'11"/141 lbs. Wears Hip Hop style clothes. Baggy jeans, usually plain tee's or with basic graphics and with a matching cap and basketball shoes. Very skinny, he has very low body fat, with mostly muscle in his body, due to his martial arts passion. Life Story: Mike or Sandman or Sleepy Mike is pretty well like kinda guy. He has moved around alot in life, because his father is in was in the Military. He grew up fast and attained tastes for most things in life (epecially musci). He enjoys rapping, singing (horribly), and very much so dancing (pop n' lock, See-Walk (as in Tennessee walk). One thing Mike finds necessary to say to everyone he meets is that he is "4/8ths Greek, 1/8th Indian, and 3/8ths Caucasian." For some reason, he needs to say that to those he meets. He is called "Sandman" for one reason. His composure. Mike looks eternally high on weed (which he is never) or like he hasn't sleeped in days, but his live wire personality contraries it and makes him a very interesting a well like character. Michael enjoys classic rock, hip hop, techno, and most music forms and has a taste for anime and martial arts (aswell as a deep thinking into philosophy). Mike tries not to be arrogant, but sometimes he can't help himself. His positive few on life keeps him going and he can't be happy without his friends. And Mike's biggest flaw is.... his flirtatious attitude, which gets him in eternal trouble. Mike now lives in The City and hangs around Local High School and lives at Maison Otaku, where he and his best friend and roomate live and produce songs in aswell as training in martial arts and attending college at Local University. But other than that, he and his closer freinds job in life is simple, loiter wher ever they may drift, which is usually the high school or outside the Maison Otaku Building, and what a life it is. Good I hope.... PS- If you havn't noticed, this is a near exact description of me in real life.

Name: Bruce Lee Where from: The Movie and Real Life Skills: Creator of Jeet Kune Do, has knowledge far beyond his years. He is skilled in most martial arts, especially in Wing Chun Gung Fu and dabs in several other styles. He is also very good with weapons. He is a good problem solver. Fighting Styles: His martial skill and a pair of Nunchaku Description: Small Bio: Born in San Fransisco, California and raised in Hong Kong. Bruce Lee from an early age was a succesful actor and took interest into the martial arts in the pre-teens. This getting him into much trouble due to his love of fighting. When a old teenager, he left to America, studying philosophy in the University of Washington and later went on to create his own philosophy on life and martial arts. He later became a smash movie hit starring in films such as "Fist of Fury", "The Chinese Connection", "Return of the Dragon", "Enter the Dragon", and his unfinished master peace, "Game of Death". He died in 1973, but he lives on today threw cinema and books. Favourite Quote: "Water is the softest substance in the world, but it can pentrate the hardest rock, granite, you name it. It is insubstantial as you cannot hurt it, pucnh it or grasp it. It is also flexible. You put water into a cup, it becoems the cup, you put it into a teapot, it becomes the teapot, you put it in a bottle, it becomes the bottle... Be water my freind." "To give no thought to victory or defeat, to give no thought to your death, is to liberate yourself from it. Empty you ambitious mind and learn the art of dying." Personality: Humble, but very self confident. Good hearted and humorous. He is also a very deep man with inner thoughts rivaling most philosophers. Bruce uses fighting as a last resort to solving a problem. He's philosophy is that there is no true help other than self help, for giving the begger a fish feeds him for a day, but teaching him to fish feeds him a life time. He beleives that we should help our selves rather than having reliance on others. He looks always to improve the world and broaden the philosophy of the Chinese martial artist community, and has done so even after his death.

Another one of my problems with Gundam Wing is the fact that one, The Death Scyhte's laser scythe can operate underwater, which isn't explained, two, the Gundam Heavyarms has so much ammo that it would explode into a glorious fire ball if shot once, and never does, and three, most of all, the Wing Gundam and its Buster Cannon, which is hard to pull off with a giant space fleet cruiser, the Wing can fire it several times and take a bit of damage, whereas, it would be torn to shreds in its first blast. And I must agree with you on also G Gundam (which is a novelty watch for me. I just love that Sai Saishi) and SD Gundam (which I hate completely). Also, with Tekken, that was a horrible movie with bad animation, bad story line, and almost nothing to do with the game.

Well, which ever you can get your hands on. I'd like either a good banner and avatar of Either Wolfwood from Trigun, or The white spikey haired dude from You Got Served. For the Wolfwood Set, Have a Pic of Wolfwood, any kind as long as it came from the show's artists. And on the Banner have a pic of him eithe toating his Cross Punisher or of the famous church scene, dying. And have the quote be : "If I am reincarnated, I want to go to.... Eden..." Having The first part at the top and Eden at the bottom. For the You Got Served one, I would like An avatar of the white guy, just face, and for the Banner, have him doing one of his break dance moves and have it say : "You Just Angry... Cuz Tonight... You Sucka's GOT SERVED!" much like the text in the previous Wolfwood banner. Thank you in advance to all that give this a shot. I'd appreciate it very much. Hoping the Best, ReFlux aka DBD

A Kawaii Girl must have large eyes, be pretty ditzy, have an impossibly perfect body structure, and either pink, blue, or purple hair. An Imposing Villain has to be caniving, clever, powerful, have great leadership qualites, must be a bold speaker, and must have plausible motivation, which at some points, may seem quite valiant. A Total Bad ***** has to be either cool, calm, collected, or fiery, easily angered, but smart and tactical. He has to be good at atleast three self defense methods, may it be fire arms use, space ship piloting, giant robot piloting, martial arts, and etc. He has to have a cool design and style and must have a reason and deep history to becoming the badd ***** he is today. A Strong Love Relationship must be filled with angst, usually involving multiple lovers/partners, has to be filled with misshapes and misunderstanding, and must have a strange and major opposites attract factor. Atleast, in anime that is.

This is my opinion. You were given this life whether you like it or not. So, why not try enjoying it? Why mope around, feeling such a deep feeling of depression while you could change that. You live to live and to be a part of the functioning machine known as humanity. And the way you serve that machine depends souly on you. you can be a waist and mope around life, waiting to expire, or you can live life to enjoy it and help those around you. The choice is yours alone to think negatively or posititvely, and thinking negatively leads to a negative life, so I suggest the first option.

Sorry, its just that Shounen-ai didn't come to mind when I was typing. But thats the main reason GW is so popular with the female fan base. And when I say realistic, I mean that the MSG UC series actually gives thorough explanation of how MS work, why they were made, and pretty much how they were made. I mean, people can actually grasp "This kidna stuff could happen" in MSG, but with GW, there all super robots who can run faster than space ship taking off, have indestructable out and insides, and crap like that.

Not very competitive, he doesn't really have to be for he is good at most things he likes. He treats everday as a new opportunity to make the world better and treats those around him as a brother or sister.

Oh, Maladjusted of all people knows why I have reverted to hating Gundam Wing so much. The biggest thing is the fact they tried selling out the series just to get female fans with pretty boys without personality and a tendency of seeming a bit yaoi-esque.
-
For one thing Death Bug, Mobile Suit Gundam is an excellent show, and created a phenomanome. Its one of my favorites actually. Its animation is dated, I'll give it that much, but thats only because it came out in 1979, when anime was still fairly new. Atleast its animation was better than Lupin and Speed Racer. Shows I do hate though and know are bad are: Virtua Fighter: I saw a trailer, that was enough. Dragon Ball Z: It got me into anime, but then I saw that it was just a drop in an ocean. Gundam Wing: Sell out to the Gundam series, filled with pretty boys who are monotonous and bland. And the Gundams are indestructible and unreaslistic. Blue Gender: I like that series, but some of the story problems and animation are just unforgivable. Fist of the North Star: No point story wise, horid animation, and just about everything. Good points are; Exploding heads and bodily difomities. I'm no anime expert or anything, but I know what is good and what is bad.

Looks: Face: I like a girl with an angelic face. Nice Teeth, Eyes, Hair. Its all good. Breasts: I don't like super big breats or even big ones. I like girls with maybe a B or C. Butt: Thats what I really like. A girl with a nice, firm, round booty. Legs: Nice thighs and calfs can be nice. Attire: I like girls who were what they like. Cuz if I'm gonna be physically attracted, I'm not going to focus on what she's wearing, but whats under it. (I know, I sound like a pig) Personality: I like a girl who isn't afraid to be herself, who's optomistic and postitve, who's outlooking and isn't afraid to tell people how she feels. And a girl who is intamint and complementory. Thats always good. I don't really have high standards. I mean, I love women in general.

Mr. Hahn is good, I admit, but he doesn't even hold a candle to Mixmaster Mike, or DJ Q*Bert. He's more of a producer/director than anything. You seriously should check out those guys, cuz Hahn's just a drop in the ocean. I'm trying to get my freind to let me borrow the Traktor Program, which is made for mixing/DJ music, so I can burn it. I can't wait till he remembers to actually bring it. He is always forgetting.
-
If you want to see the Piklz and Q*bert at their finest, then check out the movie "Wave Twisters" or if you want to see a real wide variety, the Sundance Award Winning Film, " Scrath". Both are available on DVD. Check them out. Another band of DJ's that are great are the X-Ecutioners, who are actually pretty famous, you probably just didn'tknow it was them you were hearing. And you say the Piklz are good? Try three time DMC (Disco Mixing Championship) 1st place titles in a row. They were so good, they were asked to withdraw because they were discouragin the people from competing. Q*bert now holds a spot as a judge and has several " how too" video's on Turntablism. Thats how good they are.
-
Well, I've been told I'm pretty mature for my age because of my interest in philosophy and such. But my humor is pretty immature cuz me and my buds make the worst and most fowl jokes about the male and female sexual organs that its not even funny. But I try to be a nice guy all around. I never make fun of a person and mean it, and I all ways make sure they understand that I;m never serious when I say things like that. I guess I'm above average on the charts.

Anime Good or Evil, which do you like better?
Zen replied to ChibiHorsewoman's topic in Otaku Central
I like the happy medium. A good guy that is just barely good and a bad guy that has some what good intentions, or atleast, a heart. Favorite Good Guy: Nicholas D. Wolfwood: a badass preist who won't think twice about killing your *** and going on a drinking binge afterwards. Was an undercover villain, then turned good, fell in love, and repented for his sins in the best way he could. Favorite Bad Guy: Garma Zabi: had the intentions of freeing a country. Had a beutiful fiancé. Had good intentions, he just seeked them by dropping a colony on mainland Australia from Space.
