Well, anime has changed me in many ways. I share Wolfwoods personality type cuz i'm quite, but goofy. I fight using martial arts, like SPike Speigel. I improved my drawing skills cuz i started to trace DBZ pics and everntually got really good at it to the point that i started to just draw it. So anime has really infuenced me.

Well, i travle more than many people have in there lives, so i guess its be OK. I have learned not to be racist, which is good. My best freinds are black, latino, hispanic (theres a diff) and white, so i'm cool with everyone, but thats not going to be a good thing cuz i'm supposed to move to South Carolina in a year or so, which is were i'm originally fron. I mean, my family lives there and all, but its very racist around there, so i'm scared that i won't fit in. The Army life gets kinda lonely at times, but you learn to adapt quickly and forget your problems, although i get sad about loosing my best freinds every once in a while. So its good for people skills. I can make freinds quickly. I have been a smarty, a daeth metal, a punk, a skater, and a rapster all in my life, but anime has all ways been there, so its like my countinous freind. (that makes me sound like a loser, don't it?) But you do get used to it.

I agree with you on that one, but none of my freind who are black or even live in my immediate 100 Miles are like that. And i live near a really big city, so you can't really say that. I meen, why do you have to be aggrivated at blacks? Has one ever confronted you with that sort of thing? And if they have, why don't you just say, "Its not like you were the slave, so shut the **** up about it and get on with your life!" or something along those lines. YOu don't have to be racist, just prove them wrong.

Its how it is around were i live. You'll get laughed at, but your not really made fun of cuz the only ppl who can BOMB a person to the fullest are the best players. Me and my group of guys named Jordan, Justin, Reggie, Charlie, Michael, and a few other aquiantices paly all the time. ALL THE TIME. Usually our sessions last atleast 5 hours. and we all got our strenghts. Me: Defence and Handles Jordan: Shots and Handles (were on the same level.) Justin: Pure Power. Good luck blocking his dunk or dunking on him. Reggie: Pure Height and Dunk. 6'5" and about 16 years old. Charlie: He is the Guru of Handles. I personally think he could take most of the AND 1 players. You gotta see him. Reminds me of WHite Choclate and the Professor. Michael: He has all around game. Specailizes in funny cross ups. WE all play in good fun. Its just a buddy kind a thing. We don't take it seriously, we jsut have fun. But if you DO get crossed by a little kid or a sucky dude, you'll get bombed for about a week, so know what your getting yourself into.

Australia is mixed in cultures, America is mixed in every way, and England is mixied in every way. YOu can't afford to be racist and racism is undenialby a bad thing. Its just the beleifs of certai nignorant people who won't get over themselves and the world would be a much better place without it and them.

Every time i watch Trigun and FLCL, especailly all the little hidden things in FLCL. i laugh hilariously every time. Its is fresh every time. Just like a Kevin Smith movie. :D Jay and Silent Bob! Alllllrrrriiiiggghhhhttt....

There are thousands of music peices outside of rap that doesn't use a guitar. And think, Mike from Linkin Park. I hang with that crowd you hate so much frontman, sorry to bust your bubble. But then again, all the tables at my school are loud as hell.

No, its like humor. It fun cuz if you get done up real bad, you won't be booed or made fun of, you'll just laugh and smile cuz you know that you gotta learn that. Its like, "Dang man, you got me!" and then the dudes woulkd like shake hands and what not. Its all freindly and thats why its fun. :D

I read about it in Wizard Magazine. I thought it sounded excellent and if i could find it i would buy it.

Fiasco, how can you be racist AND an anime fan? The anime is created by the Japanese asians and brought over to AMerica probably by a mixed cultural group. Your a pretty weird guy and can't see your own flaws obviously.

So far, i think i'm the only baller on the OBs. by Baller i mean a street basketball player. If you don't know what street ball is, think the Globe Trotters without the rigged games. the Ballers step onto the court (which is usaully at a street curb goal or a gym court) , don't call fouls, and play the game all the while trying to completely humiliate there opponents or make themselves look amazing. Its really flashy and extremely fun. Every one is freindly and you learn from your mistakes. And there is one imporatant rule, It isn't Street Ball without the tricks. I have recently learned a new trick from the Cross Over Guru, Charlie. He taught me and my freind the trick so effectionally called the "Slip-n-Slide" where the guy with the ball catched the ball between the hand and wrist and do a quick roll on the body and come back up with the ball dribbling and in the defenders empty spot. Street Ball is simply an ejoyable expierence. I was wondering if any one else here at the OBs participated in this, and if so or if not so, what are your opinions on the excellent sport?

Well, as far as themes go, I love Cowboy Bebop's opening theme, "Tank!", Yoko Kanno did an excellent job and it has actually turned into one of my favorite songs period, anime or not. And FLCL totally turned me into a The Pillows fan. I can't wait till the soundtrack comes out. And i really ahte to say, Shining Finger from G Gundam has been stuck in my head for about, since it premired of Toonami. *SHINING FINGER! Dah dah di di dah di deh*

I'm terrorifed of hieghts, spiders, and in some occasions, ghosts. But i'm strangely not scared of any kind of Bee/hornet/wasp/yellowjacket, even though i was stung in the back of the neck by a hornet. And i've never been bitten by a spder and i'm terrorfied of them.

I noticed that alot of things in anime are pretty questoing. I was wondering if anyone had any thoughts on this. This is gonna be a pseudo quiz where people post there opinions. Here are mine. 1. In the Trigun anime, its clear that Wolfwood is a Christian, most likely Catholic. There are alot of hints. The Cross Punisher, the mini-confessional, always referring to God instead of talking about the Plants as he does in the Manga, what do you think about this? 2. Why hasn't Ed caught Carpel Tunnel Syndrome? She types so much it ain't funny. 3. Why doesn't InuYasha just take the "SIT!" necklace off? 4. Do you guys think that Spike survived at the end of Bebop? He has taken worse beatings? 5. In FlCL I think i actually figured out the plot. [/B][/QUOTE] What i ment b racial utopia is that there aren't any real racial slurs. there isn't like an all black group, although most of them are black, about 5 latinos' or Hispancs, and 3 white kids (including myself.) . YOu don't here stuff like, "That dumb mexican!" or stuff like that. Me and my freinds make fun of each other, but we just laugh at ourselves. Like my freind Omar is Puerto Rican and he'll call me like a cracker and i'll come back with shut up, mexican. And we'll just laugh cuz everyone has a good sense of humor and no one takes everything serously. Its just a fun place you can call home.

Well, Spike has taken worse obvoiusly. When he faked his death, in Ballad of Fallen Angels (he fell about 5 stories aftre loosing quite a bit of blood. So i wouldn't be suprised. It would be awsome to see an older Ed, and aging Spike, and even older Jet, and I don't know what to say about Faye. But, yeah. There should be Ruroini Kenshin movie that follows the Obiwaban (sp?) group in the Revolution and show the earlier days of Sano. THat would rule.

Okay, now my Dad is in the Army. I have lived in about 14 different homes, lived in about 7 different states, and i lived in Germany for about 2 and a half years. I just recently moved to a new base. The school i go to is probably one of the most diverse schools ever in the mid-west. There asians, whites, blacks, latinos, hispanics, and european kids that go to my school in about equal numbers. In the Army, you can't afford to be a racist or Biggot cuz you see all kinds. My best freinds are black ,hispanic, and white (which i am.) I hang with the rap crowd. I'm glad i go to a very diverse school and its probably the closest thing to a racial utopia as i'm going to get in my life time. Now to the point. DOes anyone else here go to a school like mine. Do any of the OBers belong to a military family? Or is it just me? And what are your opinoins on this?
