Well, Hebe made me put this up because she wouldn't post it herself. It's me and here. Guess which one's me! =p
The cute one with the spiky blonde hair. -
I'm like Lunox; in Georgia, still waiting. I took AP US History my 10th grade year and made a 1. Then again, I slept through the class. I'm pretty confident about my AP Language scores; I rocked that class. We did practice essays, and I got on 8 on one of them. We've read old essays and their scores, and them scored them ourselves, so I know my teacher is a harsh rater. :p Lets hope.

Sandy, you and your boyfriend are just so sweet and cute together! I would snuggle you in a second if you'd let me. :] I wish I had some new pictures, but my boyfriends brother stole his camera and it kind of pisses me off. I want more Roxie piccies, personally. She's so shmexay. -
It's already been said, but I agree and emphasize - if at all possible avoid using frozen fruit. When the fruit thaws, it leaves a watery, tasteless mess and the fruit is usually too cold to bite into, even after it's been blended. A cool tip: instead of using fruit juice or milk, try to use fruit sherbert instead. You get your cold, you get a new flavor, and you know that the texture is likely to be smoother than if you use ice. Although you can still use ice to create a crunchier texture, or to keep the fruit from being too overwhelming. My favorite flavor combonation would be strawberries (fresh, chopped into pieces) and lime sherbert. I'm not sure what the proportions are to that, it's really a touch and go, depending on how much of each you like.

Skye was just about to get on the elevator when Inuko spilled out of it, face red and blustering from anger. Taking her friend by the shoulders, she shook her. "Inni-chan, what's wrong? Slow down, hon." She waited while her friend took a deep breath. "Kiruna just got in a fight with Paul!" Skye blinked in surprise. "Where are they, upstairs?" Inuko nodded emphatically. Skye sighed and then slid into the elevator just as it closed. As she stepped off the elevator, she saw Kiruna's door open and rushed in to see Paul unconcious on the bed. Kiruna looked up, a pained expression on his face. "Skye? Skye, I didn't mean to, I just-" Skye smiled softly and shook her head, cutting him off. "Kiru-chan, it's fine. I just want to know what happened." "He was drunk. He heard the joke you made earlier and thought you meant it; so he took it out on me." Skye's face went white. As Kiruna finished his sentence, Paul began waking up. He rolled over and puked on the floor. Skye rushed to his side, and told Kiruna to get some water and a cold, damp cloth. Paul continued to puke up his guts until he rolled back on his back, eyes closed. Skye quickly called room service. "We need someone to come up to our room to clean up a mess." Hanging up, she looked at her new friend, worriedly. "Paul? Paul, are you okay?" Paul looked at her, then shut his eyes and winced. Kiruna came back, and set the water on the side table, stepping around the mess. Skye placed the cool cloth on his forehead."You don't have to talk, Paul, just listen. I didn't mean what I said. You're not a meathead; you're a great guy, a really good friend. I just pick on my friends. I wouldn't pick on you if I didn't like you; Hell, iwouldn't even talk to you if I thought you were really a meathead. I just... I'm kind of already seeing someone, okay? I'm sorry if you thought otherwise." When Paul refused to respond, Kiruna motioned that he wanted to talk to Skye outside. She got up and followed him into the hallway. "Skye-chan, I wanted to tell you this, but I don't want it to mess with our relationship. I like you, Skye, a lot. Like, as more than friends." Skye had a look of genuine shock on her face. "But listen, don't think about it, it's still kind of overwhelming me, too. I don't mean to think of you like that." "I don't know what to say, Kiruna." Her voice was soft. "Take care of Paul, okay? I'll meet you guys around seven for dinner, okay?" Skye then disappeared down the hall and into her apartment, locking it behind her.

Anna's head snapped up as she heard voices. Taking off down the hallway, she followed them. As she rounded the corner, she almost ran face-first into her cousin. "Zach! Zach, you're here!" Zach caught the panicking Anna by the arms, and held her until she stopped babbling. "Anna, girl, get a grip! If you're here, that means the other people at the club have to be, too." Anna nodded, eyes wide. Zach listened for the voices, and they began walking again. Soon they came to the room with the others. Slightly unfamiliar faces turned to them, eyes all glowing with hope. "Does either one of you have a phone?" Anna and Zach both searched their persons, and shook their heads. "I had mine when I got to the club. I don't know what happened to it," Zach said, fuming. "Same here." Anna was chewing her fingernails when one of the girls pointed at her cheek. "You have a barcode, too!" Anna nodded. "What does it mean?" Her voice had gone small, and her face was closed to even her cousin.
I wish I still had all of the old layouts on my computer. Many fatal crashes and different computers have come and gone since those days, though. I do, however, have some stuff that never ended up seeing the light of day. And hopefully now we can actually pick up the pieces on the new version of the site, after being left somewhat high and dry. And Stephanie, did you ever have different user names on OB? For me, personally...it can be one of the primary reasons why I forget who people are. Some members who have changed their names frequently are still remembered because they've been incredibly active, which makes a difference too. But yeah, in some ways that's why I've never wanted to change my own user name. I mean, yes, mine is boring... but then again, there will never be any mistaking who I am. It can get very confusing at times with some members (for me, anyway). :catgirl:
I finally got used to my name. I was around before the whole "13+" went onto the site, so I've gone through multiple personality changes. That and for some reason, I always felt like using your real name was a veteran user thing. Now that I've been her 4+ years I think I've earned it. :]
The old times were not any better, merely different. There are plenty of people now who were not around in 2001 worth a good conversation or two. Not anyone in this thread, mind you. ;)
Oh, fine then. I see where I stand. T_T I've been around since 2003, but hey, I guess that doesn't matter. *hides in corner* I remember how much Harlequin used to hate me. My three-line RP posts grated on many a mods nerves back then. I still get upset sometimes because I've been around since before the legendary Annie and yet only one or two members remember me. Bleh. As cool as the new layout is, I sincerely miss the simple, old layout. I don't know why, I guess I'm just old fashioned. ... Shoot me. Please.

Skye could see the look of dread on Paul's face and smiled. He's faking himself out... he could do this if he'd quit thinking he couldn't. She held the back of the board as the wave began to crest, one hand on his ankle. As the wave got bigger, Paul looked like he freaked out and then fell off the board. Catching it with one hand, she reached down through the waves for his hand as he floundered. Skye pulled Paul up towards the surface, shoulders straining to lift the rather more muscular body in the water. His head broke the surface, and she laughed good naturedly. Behind them, she could hear Inuko almost rolling with laughter. She pulled Paul through the water to something slightly shallower. Paul's face looked extremely pissed. "It's okay, dude. No one gets it the first time. C'mon, I'm sure you'd do better if you weren't so sure you couldn't." Paul grimaced. "I'm just way too off balance for this." Skye laughed and simply shook her head, dragging the board back to the shore before wading back out to swim. Suddenly thoughtful, she grinned at Paul and Jacob . "C'mon, I'm sure you can body surf."
-
Skye smiled warmly at Jacob. They were back on good terms, and that made her happy. She looked up as Paul went for the board, and grinned. Standing up, she pulled slightly on Jacob's hair. "C'mon you, lets go swim. I gotta see this." Without waiting for his answer, Skye splashed back into the water. She heard Jacob's indignant, "Hey!" And then a splash as he followed her into the water. She stood about waist deep, coasting the waves as she watched Paul take the board from Kiruna. She heard giggling, and Inuko was standing beside her. "What'd you get him into?!" Skye whispered to her devious friend. "I don't know, but it should be funny." Paul didn't even make it onto the board before sliding off into the water. Skye burst out laughing, and then dove out to help. She made it out just as he surfaced, face red and pissed. She smiled warmly at him and the pissed look kind of faded. "Hey dude, you want help? I can teach you." Paul looked even more flustered. Skye kept smiling. "You should have seen me learning. I looked like a floundered fish."

Although I hadn't thought about it in a while, I miss the Battle Arena. Those stupid little spars were a lot of fun. I also miss the Sexy Six, although I'm probably the only one who remembers them; half of the members are gone, the other half refuses to talk to me. I'm the only one left. :animesigh I miss a lot of things... I just can't think of them right now. Oh! And the My Friend Totoro layout that one year. WOW that's a long time back.
Watch your language, squirt. You ain't big enough yet. :p
I have to agree with Allie on this one, chibi. At least censor yourself, kiddo. ^_~ I love stuffed crust! Stuffed crust = teh yummers. And double cheese. My opinion on CiCi's changes from one to the next. The one near us is pretty good, minimal grease factor, and the desserts rock. I always get salad, too, which still surprises me.

Are there any specific animes/mangas that you would like featured? Or will any do?

Skye and Inuko hit the water at the same time, diving head first into the water as soon as they were deep enough. This was more than a race to the water; they were releasing stress from school, and they swam out a good bit before stopping to tread water and smile at each other. Inuko laughed. "You're more of a fish than I am, girl." With a laugh, Skye turned and kicked her way over to where Kiruna was helping Katie learn how to surf. She grinned as Inuko swam back to shore for a temporary break. As Katie ran off, Skye raised an eyebrow, stealing one of the boards from Kiruna. "What was that about? I see you and Jacob bicker for two minutes and suddenly you're teaching "Ms. Katie" how to surf." Skye pouted and then grinned at the surprised look on Kiruna's face. "You never taught me how to surf!" At the stammered reply from her friend, she laughed. "Dude, chill! I'm kidding. Besides, I already know how to surf!" She turned, the board flat on the water in front of her. She hoisted herself onto it, laying stomach down on it and then paddling out. Skye heard Kiruna give a yelp of surprise, and looked back. He was paddling out to follow her, still looking surprised, but grinning now. Skye looked forward, lifting up long enough to crest a slight wave. Then she carefully got to her feet, bent over so as to keep her balance. She heard laughter behind her, and then something rammed into her board. "Aah!" With a shriek of laughter, Skye flailed to keep her balance, and then fell backwards off the board into the water. As she went under, she caught a glimpse of Kiruna laughed hard enough to explode. Going under, she lost grip of the board, and hoped fervently that Kiru-kun would be able to rescue it before it floated out. Instead of coming up, Skye sunk to the bottom and let the current carry her back to the shore. As her head broke surface, she heard Kiruna calling for her, and sat up in the less than foot water to wave at him. She grinned. "I'm good, bro, just rescue the board." Kiruna gave her a thumbs up and headed for the surf board. "You okay?" Skye looked up to see Jacob looking down at her, worry written in his features. She smiled. "I'm fine, J-chan. Really." Instead of leaving the water, she simply scooted up the beach, farther from the water, to sit cross-legged in the sand to search for shells. Upon finding a mussell, she picked it up and put it somewhere else to watch it bury into the sand.
-
Skye waited for Katie, amused strongly by Kiruna's blunder. She had only seen him this flustered over a girl once, and that hadn't ended well. Still, he needed to start over somewhere and she'd help if she could. Still, she was resisiting giggling, shaking with the effort. Skye eventually looked back up at Jacob, realizing that he was tense. She reached up to tweak his nose, smiling. Softly, she told him, "Relax, J-chan. I'm sorry, okay? I shouldn't have reacted the way I did, and if you still feel bad, I forgive you, okay?" Without waiting for his response, she went inside the lobby to walk out with Katie. "I'm Skye, nice to meet you! Don't mind Kiru-kun, he loves summer. I know it sounds fifth-grade, but I honestly think he'd marry the beach if you'd let him." Katie laughed as they walked out the doors, and the group headed for the beach. Skye stretched, looking up happily at the clear blue sky and the puffy wisps of clouds that floated serenely across it. They were an odd looking group, really, all so different. But as they got to know each other, the laughter ensued. Especially as they made it down the boardwalk into the sand and the girls took off across the beach to find a place to lay out towels. Skye unrolled her blue and green towel, flopping down to kick off her sandals and stripped to only her bathing suit. Katie put her towel down right beside as they chatted about nothing in particular. The boys made it to where they were about five seconds after Inuko flopped down next to them, where they were slathering themselves in sun tan lotion. Skye stood and stretched as the boys laid out their towels, then grinned to Inuko. She knew about Kiruna's cousin's competitive side. "I'll race you to the water!" Inuko grinned. "You are so on!" The two took off for the water at a full run.

Name: Anna-Marie Andreas Age: 16 Gender: Female Personality:A very quiet person, rather contemplative; she tends not to talk unless she has something she thinks is important to say. She tends to stand back and watch until she's figured out what's going on, or if she has a question to make the picture clearer and to have it make sense. She's very intelligent, and has a rather sardonic and cruel mind when tormented. Appearance: Anna Cell Phone: Purple Verizon Juke Barcode: Right cheek Snippet: Anna felt awkward. For the first time in her life, she felt a little insecure about herself. She guessed it was natural, as she twirled one more time in the mirror. She'd gone for a more raver look this time. She checked her phone, and raced out the door to her friends car as she realized she was going to be late. "Party? Anna, you don't party." "I know, I know, but... I want to. What's so wrong about this?" "Oh come on , Anna, this is too obviously cliche." "Go on, Sarah, I'm going even if you're not." Anna ended up curling up in a comfy chair in the corner, listening to the music, bobbing her head slightly as she outlined the drawing with her new ink pen. The details had her so intruiged, the swirl of the clothing over the angels wings. She was happier than a clam, curled up like a kitten, but eventually she had to get up and stretch. Uncurling from her spot, she looked around the room and decided that maybe she should introduce herself to someone; unfortunately, her self-conciousness took over and she disappeared into the bathroom. She stood there for a few minutes, looking at herself in the mirror. I am really way too tired to be doing this tonight, Anna thought to herself. She touched her face, looking at how gaunt it was in the horrible bathroom light. I get up way too early to be staying up late. Heading back out the room, she went back to her chair, curling up to watch the people dance and listen to the pulsing music. As she fell asleep from exhaustion, she noticed two people fold in the middle of the dancefloor and had about two seconds to wonder why they were doing that before completely blacking out. Sitting up abruptly, Anna looked around her, suddenly terrified. The room was white, and she was most definately not in the club anymore. She felt a throbbing pain in her head like she'd slept too much, but the pain was strongest on her cheek. Lifting her fingers to her cheek, she felt small lines, and jerked her hand back at the stinging pain along her skin. She got to her feet, looking around the room in a panic. She darted to the wall in bare feet, to a small sink with a mirror. Looking in it, on one of those same gaunt cheeks, was a barecode. Her eyes widened to an almost black in panic. Calm down, Anna-Marie, calm the FUCK down. It's just a joke. Just a joke. "Oh God... Oh God..." Anna found the door, but no handle. As she touched it, it slid open. Her eyes widened. She almost couldn't step into the hallway. Instead she leaned next to the door and contemplated her next move. ___ Name: Zachariah Donaldson Age: 21 Gender: Male Personality: Cocky and friendly, Zach has no reservations when it comes to his vices: mainly, his video games. Rabbit Doubt is pretty new to him, but he loves the thrill he gets out of guessing. He also has an insanely accurate gut instinct, and only once or twice is it way off. He has an easily wounded ego but does all he can to repair friendships as they are the most important thing in the world to him. Appearance: Zach - He tends to dress casual-business, although he likes to throw in a little bling. Cell Phone: Dark blue Blackberry w/ all the features Barcode: Right below his collar bone Snippet: Zach couldn't help checking himself out in every mirror on the way to the front door. He had to look his best if he was going to meet these people. The only person he even halfway knew was his cousin, Anna. He knew she would be no help, she always sat in the corner at parties. Although to be honest, he couldn't figure out how she had convinced her mother to let her go in the first place. Checking one last mirror by the door, he left and locked the door behind him. Opening his phone, he slid into his car and checked the directions before driving off. Upon arriving, Zach had immersed himself in a group of gorgeous young women, flirting like a pimp. He was in his element. Shaking that hair out of his eyes, he grinned that heartbreaking smile and laughed at some stupid little joke a girl had made. He could see his cousin sitting across the room, sketching. "Can I get you something, hun?" Zahc looked up to see a sultry, rather well rounded waitress smiling down at him. He smiled. "Would it be too much to ask for a strawberry daiquiri?" "No problem, sweets." Zach mentally rolled his eyes, and then went back to oggling the gorgeous women around him. One giggled, causing her ample bosom to bounce, and asked, "Wanna dance?" Zach grinned and took the offer. The dance lasted a little before he got bored, and went back to his seat where his drink was waiting. Taking a few sips, he sat down again. Rapidly, his vision failed him and he passed out without getting to think about it. Blinking rapidly to wake himself up, Zach sat up but quickly lay back down as he felt dizzy. The room swam before his eyes, and then slowly came into focus. He was lying on the floor of a small room, occupied only by a stand up shower and a sink. Using the sink to help himself stand, Zach stared into the mirror, seeing the barcode on his chest, and panicked. "Where the hell am I?!"

Nope, not at all! Pretty accurate, so it's fine. ^_^ ____ Skye smiled at him, trying hard not to fall into her rather natural flaunting pose. She had her hands buried rather firmly in her pockets, trying not to look at him too hard. He was kind of cute, admittidly in a bad-boy way, but cute nonetheless. She shook her head, trying not to think about it, which only made her hair flop around her face, out of its braid. "Gah. I have to re-do it now." This she muttered under her breath. Reaching up, she began rebraiding her hair, loosely so as not to make her head hurt. "Would you want to come with us? I mean, if you're not meeting anyone." She mumbled the invite around the hairband in her mouth, concentrating fully on on her braid. Skye missed the almost shocked look on Paul's face as he contemplated the offer. "Sure, why not. It's not like I've got anything else to do." The answer was sharp and aloof, almost holier-than-thou, but Skye didn't really notice. She just smiled warmly at him as she tightened the hairband around the end of her braid and put her sunglasses on, just as the elevator stopped. "Sounds good to me! J-chan, Kiru-kun!" Skye ran out of the elevator to meet the guys. She flung one arm around Jacob's waist, beaming up at him. "Ready for some sun?"

I think my town probably has five or six pizza places. Which is sad, really, seeing as we have no movie theaters. :/ We have a PizzaHut and a Dominos, as well as a Papa John's and Fox's Pizza; but my personal favorite is this pizzeria called Johnny's Pizza. My boyfriend took me there, and you can get as creative as you want with what you put on your pizza. We ended up ordering battered and fried chicken pieces, mushrooms, extra cheese and black olives on ours, and ate the entire thing in two days. And they didn't skimp on the toppings, either. It was like, pizza heaven. My favorite thing that Johnny's does, though, is their garlic knots. Literally, just little dough knots with garlic butter; which was so good I even deviated from my typical "ketchup is the only condiment for fries" theory to dip the french fries in the garlic butter. Yes, it was that good. Usually, though, we order Domino's, and my traditional pizza is mushrooms and black olives; if I can, I get cheesy crust. And everyone looks at me funny when I dip the cheesy crust in the white icing that comes with the cinnamon sticks... It's so good, though! T_T
