o.o I feel so sorry for you, DB. I'm a personal fan of the ocean. I remember a time when I read too many shark stories and was too scared, not so much anymore. I've always tanned instead of burning, except for right across my nose. XD Last time I went to the beach was a couple weeks ago with my aunt, my mom, my brother and my cousin. The waves were awesome, and we kept trying to dive under them as they came crashing down. I mean, seriously, we'd ride some of the swells and be twenty feet up. A couple times I misjudged and got slammed into the sand, but mostly we just got carried back to shore. Heh, we'd start out in front of our blanket, duck under wave, and be all the way down the beach. One little kid almost lost his boogieboard because he wasn't paying attention. Once, we wanted to go to the beach but my parents wouldn't let us because the entire beach was covered in jellyfish. We were watching these kids play catch with the things. It was interesting. So, since we live no where near a beach, we have a pool in our backyard. This summer the pool kinda got dirty, though and we can't seem to get it clean, so no swimmage. :animesigh

I am terrified for you guys carrying your cellphones in your front pockets. I really am. You guys know how cellphones are supposed to give you cancer? Well, apparently, they still receive those harmful rays when not being used, too... so front pocket? On anyone? That may be a bad idea. I know, random. I also found one other thing I carry in my bag - my Gameboy. Complete with Pokemon Gold version. Yes.

I guess you could say I carry a purse. But it isn't really a purse. I got this awesome Megatokyo Flapdoozybag for Christmas and it holds everything. No, really. I could probably fit all my stuff, plus a couple bricks. Even my school books fit in there. It's awesome. My wallet with my liscense, library card, pictures of different people, my Hot Topic discount card... and anything else that finds its way in there, like money. My keychains. No, I don't mean my keys. I've only got one key, and that's my house key. (Hey, I'm only 16. My parents won't give me my own car key.) On it I've got like, seven keychains, my key, a clip, my Borders Rewards Card, and (in case I lose the one in my wallet) a library card. My assorted makeup things, which I never use. Except the lipgloss and mascara. A brush, a comb, four scrunchies and three regular hairbands. Plus some gel. Some writing utensils. Often, the latest manga I've bought. And my CD player. Oh look. Some old papers from last year. Oops. You know what's sad? My bag even has a cellphone holder on the strap, but I don't have a cellphone.

She'd been sitting on that step too long. The pain in her tailbone had turned into numbness. Dusty closed the book with a snap and used the rail as a way to pull herself to her feet. She trudged back to her room in complete silence, ignoring the pitying looks people were giving her. The door opened at her touch, and she slipped in. CLosing and locking it behind her, Dusty didn't even bother turning the light on or taking off her clothes. She flopped into the beanbag, refusing to touch the bed until she'd changed the sheets. Curled up in a fetal position, Dusty tried desperately to fall asleep. Just as she succeeded, tears flowed down her face. It hurt to think about Shayla. Gods above, it hurt. Why did it hurt so much? Damn her. Darkness washed over her, and with it, oblivion. Still, as she slipped into an almost dreamless sleep, all Dusty could hear was her voice and the injured expression on the older girls face kept slipping into view. What is wrong with me? Then nothing.
Won't happen :p seriously, it's not that hard to make your character go to bed. A party would only be like a whole extra event, and I'm trying to get to the action ASAP.
Fine. I just thought we could have fun with it, too. I'm bout to go to bed, but I will edit my last post so that I don't post a post that's too short, add that she went to bed. (BTW, I added you and Fyxe to my IM.) G'night, guys.
No DB the only one's I'm looking at is Premonition, Fyxe and Squiggles. Since the three of you know better.
Yes'm. [shamed look] All right, to get this back on track: I have an idea that may help speed Day One to an end. Think maybe we could have a "New Arrivals" party? You know, get all the newbs in the cafeteria and have everyone introduced? Then we could bring in teachers and have a sort of class fair or summat so that those of us who want to take classes have an opportunity to look at some, kinda formally. How does that sound?

Music & Lyrics Scratch. Scribble. Pen on paper. Glorious scent of freshly popped pop-corn. Fizzy bubbles up my nose from the Dr. Pepper I accidentally shook. #Childish games Stuck in your misery You’re all the same Everyone but me # Hmm. I wonder. This melody? No, too… chipper. This one? No, too redundant. Ah. This one. #No matter what you do No matter what you say I’ll never be like you I don’t want to be that way# Wait, what’s that? Oh, just him. Stupid cat, I’m not getting up to let you in. It’s – holy crap, it’s twelve thirty! #So stuck in your fake reality And nothing is what it seems So tightly held to your conformity# Pick up the papers. Oh what a mess. Gooood night. Click. Off goes the light. On to dreamland. "Urg. I knew better than to choose the bedroom with the east-facing window." I dragged my protesting body up from the rather yeilding bedspread. It was so comfortable, why did I have to - oh. Spotting the prone body on the floor by the bed, I slid out of the silk sheets to kneel beside him. Him. I'd written so much poetry about this beautiful, currently unnamed hunk. I'd even written a song or two. Poetry was so much easier though. Still. I should probably spray him and then drop him off somewhere so that he doesn't remember. I don't want to deal with the cops again. Last time it was such a hassel getting them to believe that he'd been torturing me, not the other way around. Actually, now that I thought about it, they hadn't believed it. That's right, that was why I'd had to get a new identity. Luckily, I had three at my disposal. Alex, Amiya, and Sarah. What was it those crazy cops were calling me? ... Oh yeah. The Sadistic Poet. I am not sadistic. Just... eclectic. But I digress. Oh well. Game over. "Well, not exactly. One more?" Oh fine. But you really should stop talking to yourself. People might get the idea that you're crazy. "Will not." There was no answer. Standing, I rolled my captive over with my toe and gazed down at his face. His eyes were wide in paralyzed fear. I clucked my tongue at him. I hated it when they acted scared of me. Some of them enjoyed my...methods. So. I leaned forward, gazing into eyes so blue I imagined they made the sky jealous. I grabbed a handful of dark, curly brown hair and yanked his head back, causing him to hiss in pain. A smile twisted across my lips in satisfaction. He was ideal. But not for me. Anger suddenly flared inside me. He was too good. That meant that, if I could not have him, no one would. I should send him back to the Goddess. She would appreciate such a beautiful and strong consort. Or at least a toy. Just do it already. You're making Amiya upset. "Shut up, Alex/" I reached across him to the nightstand and took up a small knife. I held it in front of his frightened eyes, waving it back and forth slowly. "Do you know what this is, my friend?" I fingered the edge of the blade lovingly. "This is a paring knife. Do you know what we do with it?" Slowly, carefully, with expert skill, I pressed the point against one of his bare shoulders, and slid the edge down, tracing the outline of his shoulder and arm. His body quivered and I saw his catch a cry of pain. I smiled wickedly, then did the other shoulder and arm. I stood, and watched the blood slowly ooze down his arms and back. Going to my writing desk, I picked up my pen and began to write. How beautiful he was. Dark and sultry, but those eyes, so mesmerizing. The blood, dark and salty, made a perfect contrast to his tan skin. As I wrote, a thought occured to me. Why wasn't he screaming for help? My eyes narrowed. Turning from the beginnings of what I was sure would be my masterpiece, I went back to him. His death would take a long time. A very long time... make him scream, girl. Oh yes. He would not die for a very long time. My poem wasn't done yet. As these thoughts crossed my mind, I began the slow process of scalping him. No reason not to keep something for myself. Then he began to scream. Ah, the glory of soundproofed walls... It was two in the morning. My work was done. I added the last word with a flourish, and then turned to look at the mutilated body on my bedroom floor. Even in death, with his eyes cut out, tongue carved up and scalped, he was beautiful. The patterns I had carved on his chest were now dark lines, and the floor beneath him was sticky with blood. Now, what to do with the body? I clapped my hands as an idea came to me. Why not burn him? A regular funeral pyre! I gazed at the bloody carpet, and that decided me. This apartment was too small anyway. Gathering my things - my poems, my cat, a change of clothes, purse, keys -, I made sure my masterpiece was carefully stowed beneath my old denim jacket. Going to the door, I slipped my shoes. I tossed my hair over one shouler and knocked over a large candle. That would do nicely. "Sleep well with the Lady." I drove away with a feeling of satisfaction in my gut as the building behind me went up in flames. ~*~ Haha. So now you know. >.> No, I don't burn things. >.< Well, I do, just not whole buildings. And I don't mutilate people and write poems about it. But I will admit to some depressing and disturbing stories/poems/songs. (Oh, and I wrote that.) Imma sadistic little somebody, aren't I? And even if this isn't what you were looking for, I had fun writing it. >:-D I do have multiple personalities, btw, and Alex is one of them. Ooooh, after that I so do not need a cutesy banner. V_V
The first major fun I had on OB was in the Trigun sequel that I participated in which was run by The Boss (then Double_B_Daigo). I remember that i stayed up all night on it's last day of life and me and Lone Bebop (I think he's Trigun 11 now) capped it off going back and forth between us. I actually went back and read some parts of this a few days ago - it was OMG bad, but I guess I didn't know beter back then XD It's amazing how rps have improved over the years ^^;;
o_O Trigun 11 has always been Trigun 11. And he's a she. Lone Bebop hasn't been here since... Last year?
I remember that the duels I participated in were some of the funnest times I had on OB. Most of the duels I was in were with DBD, Lone Bebop, Ryoko_TDC, and such. i was such a damn godmodder back then...
I remember those! Hehe, that is how Mike and I became friends. (You may remember a Skyechild91 or a SailorStar or some such.)
I also remember an RP I participated in with Annie and Inuyasha_Fandom (god, i never liked that guy >_>) and I almost want to say squiggles but I can't remember any of her old usernames, but she has a familiar style. It was an rp about some kids who were in this school where the teachers had gone crazy and were killing students and stuff - it was weird. At some point stuff started getting sexual and I was too embarassed to keep reading so i killed my character lol. I also remember some battles I had with Annie as well.
Tical? Hmm. I don't remember roleplaying with said name, but I do remember said RPG. And yes, he was obnoxious, wasn't he? That was fun, though. EDIT: Yes, I just found it. It was called "They had it coming". Jeez, I sucked. o.o I also remember the awesome times of utter n00b posting. I was SailorStar/Skyechild91 back then. I believe I got banned because I irritated The Harlequin so much. He told me to stop posting one liners so many times I think he wanted to strangle me. I was the creator of the (nearly) legendary Elemental Guardians, which Revelation (then Arika) participated in. It was a lot of fun. Ooo, Drix was in that one, too. Anyone else remember that? Then, there came the (very short) era of the Sexy Six. I think Lilt still has it in her signature. ^_^ It was me, Engel, Ezekiel, Lilt, Sean (don't know what he goes by now), and Anne. We were constantly roleplaying together.

Aww! Thanks Korey! :catgirl: My favorite had to be when Annie became my honorary older sister. I pretty much followed her around everywhere. I worshiped her - still do! Wait... why'd Copycat get banned?

Dusty closed the door behind Shay, body tense. The lock clicked closed and she slid down it to sit on the floor, head between her knees. Tears streamed silently down her face. What the hell is wrong with me? Her fear and embarrassment suddenly turned to rage and with a shriek Dusty stood and punched the wall. What was wrong with her? She wasn't gay, why should she be offended? It was a simple little question and if Shay wanted to make sure she had that right. So why did she feel like she'd just made the biggest mistake of her life? These thoughts whirled through her mind and she hardly noticed the hole in the wall that her brother-trained punch had left, or the pain spreading from her knuckles to her fingertips. Her emotions whirled so quickly in her head, her heart was fluttering and she felt like throwing up. Breifly through her mind: Is this what love feels like? The thought was repelled faster than it crossed her mind. Her anger was getting the better of her. She couldn't let her emotions out. She would lose it. "I am not gay." Her emotions went blank, her demenor cold. The tears at the corners of her eyes were wiped away, and suddenly everything was better. Nothing hurt anymore. It was better that way; then she wouldn't make a mistake and kill someone. She felt so blank, but she'd get used to it. She always did. Dusty grabbed a book and left her room. Locking the door behind her she wandered the halls until she came back to the same steps she first run into Shay on. Against the rain, out of the way, Dusty sat on one step and opened the book. The words on the page went through her brain and she lost herself in the lives of the characters. Here... no more Shay. No more hurt. No more...fire. OOC:Whoa. o_o My brain kicked in. BTW, that's how she deals with emotions. She just goes blank.

Dusty unlocked her door, and flicked on the light. With a slightly embarassed blush, she realized that her sheets were all rumpled and her night clothes were on the floor. "Umm... it's a tad messy, but make yourself comfy." Dusty pushed her clothes to the not-far-away other side of the room so she could flop down in the small beanbag she'd set up at the foot of the bed. "So... why'd you decide tocome here?" What a lame *** you are... Dusty couldn't think of anything to say, she was still so focused on how drop-dead gorgeous Shay was, and denying it to herself. OOC:I am so so sorry, I am rather braindead but I wanted to confirm my non deadness. Tag, Fyxe.

As many of you may know, I am running an invite only Matrix RPG. I would greatly appreciate it if someone would make me a banner to put at the top of my thread. Feel free to go crazy with it, but I'd like the words "Virtual Realities - The Matrix Revisited" and "By Squiggles". Do what you like. :) Please and thank you!

“Ahrianna! AHRIANNA!” The young woman swallowed a mouthful of strawberries hurriedly and quickly buried the rest. She could some back later, dig them up, and wash them off. If she couldn’t, it would only mean more strawberries for next year. Wiping the incriminating red stains off of her hands with a handful of leaves, Ahrianna hurriedly got to her feet and dashed through the cluster of pine trees to the edge of the field. She paused as she broke cover, waiting a full five count before her eyes readjusted to the glaring sunlight. Across the waving golden sea of waist-tall grass was her caravan. Well, she admitted grudgingly to herself, it was her father’s caravan. It was still beautiful. The wagons were covered in patchwork patterns of gold and red and blue and green and some colors she didn’t know the name of. In the sun, the silk shone and the cotton looked regal. The harsh sunlight was reflected easily and Ahri knew it was darker than sin inside them. “Ah-” She broke into a run as she realized that Calypsa was gearing up for a serious telling-off. Ahrianna hiked her skirt up around her hips, bare feet flying through the grass. If she wasn’t back by the time Calypsa finished, she’d catch it. “-RI-” She burst from the grass and – “ANNA!” She tore into camp and touched the wheel of one of the wagons. Suddenly, she felt a pull and – “Hey, Ahri, you want some food? You got kinda caught up in the whole ‘Gypsy’ thing. You’ve been in there for six hours.” Ahrianna looked across the room at her friend Kitty, who was standing in the doorway. She heard a throaty chuckle behind her and turned her head to see Vault just as he pulled the plug from the back of her head. “You get into the whole medieval thing, dontcha?” “Yeah… So watcha got, Kitty?” ~*~ The machines; defeated at last, we humans have our planet back. In a last attempt to save the rapidly diminishing human race, Neo and company proceeded to pull as many souls out of the Matrix before it was shut down. However, that was saved as well. Now the only ones in the Matrix are voluntary. They know what they’re doing and where they are and that, if they so choose, they could escape to the Real World at any time. Some still don’t believe it is real, but the option is there for them. For those outside the Matrix, either rescued or Earth-born, their lives are centered around rebuilding a world damaged almost irreparably. Nearly a decade after Neo and the Final Battle with the machines, the world is starting to rebuild and people are starting to focus on things other than guarding themselves against enemies – building families, going into the Matrix and newly discovered Virtual Realities just for a good time. This is our story. We are rebuilding. We Surf the Realities like someone in 2007 would surf the Internet. So far as we know, we’re safe. One can never be too careful. Everyday is a struggle to get by, but now it is somewhat easier. Join us? ~*~ So, see my little Matrix RPG? (For those of you who are likely to be disappointed, this is invite only, although if you PM me with a writing sample I might let you in. ^_~ I’m cool like that.) You see the story, the idea. This is basically a day-to-day in the life of those who survived the war with the machines, those still in the Matrix and those in the other Realities. This is also one of the few RPGs where I will say: God-mod to your hearts content. Just check with the other person if you plan on using their character. o_o And if you plan on something that may change the entire “world” in the RPG, PM me first. I actually have some things I want to do with this, but for the main part, this is a “what would you do if you had access to the Matrix and countless other virtual realities?” With that over with, I claim Ahrianna. Anyone wants to play Kitty and Vault, go ahead. Sign Ups: Name: Code Name: Age: Gender: Real Appearance: Virtual Appearance: Quirks: Orientation: Other: Here’s mine: Name: Ahrianna Code Name: Lotus Age: 17 Gender: Female Real Appearance: See attachments; first is hair style, second is face. Favors skin tight clothing. Virtual Appearance: Depends on the world she’s in, but usually like her real appearance, because she loves it so much. Quirks: Has multiple personalities, which is why she fits so well in virtual realities. They go by Shauna, Gabriel, and (obviously) Ahri. Ahri hates red, Gabriel hates black, and Shauna hates everybody. Orientation: Both Other: None I realize this doesn’t look all that complicated, but it will be. All right, have fun.

?Aja! AJA!? Aja turned around, maybe a little too quickly ? her head slammed into the ledge of the porch as she kneeled on the ground in the flowerbed outside the house she and her mom shared. With a groan, she fell on her face in the soft dirt. She lay there for a moment before realizing that maybe she should get up. Levered up on her elbows, she shook her head to clear it before standing up. ?Ugh? my skirt is completely ruined.? Aja glared down at said ruined garment and then winced when her mother called for her again. ?Coming, Mama!? Dropping her spade, she darted up the steps and into the house. She nearly ran headlong into her mother with her arms full of a Growlithe that had a splint on its leg. Her mother gave an exasperated sigh. ?Look at you. Go change into something clean and then you need to take this Growlithe back to Mr. Kinsey.? Aja nodded and darted up the stairs to her room. ?And don?t forget ? you?re supposed to go get your Pokemon today!? ~*~ The Growlithe had gone to sleep on her. It had drooled all over her shoulder, but she could fix that now that it was back with it?s trainer. Sitting at the train station waiting for her train, Aja proceeded to clean her jacket off. It felt rather gross. She wrinkled her nose. Her head swung around towards the platform as her train was called out and swung her bag over her shoulder. This was going to be so much fun. ~*~ ?Ahhh! I love the sea!? Aja stretched and sniffed the sea air with a joyous attitude. It was so pretty and smelled so wonderful. Then her stomach growled. Then again. With an embarrassed look, Aja looked around for a food stall. Her nose was filled with a wide variety of smells and she let it lead her to the best one. ?Pork buns! Yum!? Aja purchased three from the vendor before continuing her walk. Professor Willow had said it was just this way, right past this street? ?Ah!? Catching sight of two trainers and a professor sitting outside a building, Aja figured she must be there. ?Hi! I?ve been looking everywhere! Are you Professor Willow?? OOC: Hope that?s good.
