Commonly used as a stave, the end is detachable and used as a knife. [I]Post-Transition:[/I] When the spirit is awoken, the spears blade lengthens to a foot, double-edged, and the soft aspen wood hardens and silvers. With a hand guard just below the blade to avoid slicing her hands open, the spear hardly changes in physical appearance. [b]Technique:[/b] [I]Cat?s Claw[/I]: Called thus because of it?s slightly curved blade, and the swift accuracy. [b]Weapon Power:[/b] The edges of the blade become intensified with electricity and heat, scoring through flesh and bone and metal. Although the stave part is made of wood, it has a core inside that is essentially untouchable. Should the handle be cut through Kurai would have to drop it or risk having no hands. [i]History[/i] [b]Bio:[/b] Given the fact that she has had three sets of parents during her childhood, you should understand that Kurai was a problem-child. Never following instructions very well, and being a total tomboy, she was constantly moving from family to family, trying to find a pair that could put up with her. Finally, when old enough, she gave up and left home entirely. Has lived on her own for a while, with no mysterious past ? except that there was one other reason she left home. What that reason is, no one knows. And, if she has her way, no one will know; and with Kurai, she usually gets her way. [b]Character Snippet:[/b] ?[b]Kurai!![/b]? The girl cursed and whirled about, eyeing the boy coming down the street towards her. She sighed and then slipped into an alley way. Behind her she heard angry cries of protest and soon the boy was in the alley with her. She whirled. ?[b]Stay away from me, Juu.[/b]? The boy looked at her with pitifully blue eyes. ?[b]Kurai, you promised![/b]? Kurai growled lowly with anger. ?[b]What did I promise?[/b]? ?[b]That you would-[/b]? Whirling she dashed away, anger draining as she ran. Losing Juu fairly quickly, she made for the outer rims of the city. Passing everyone without even a backwards glance, she left. Kurai never stopped moving. She could never stay in one place. She would begin to have obligations to someone, begin to be dedicated ? and someone else would come into the picture. She would begin to tell why she was there, why she had left ? and then someone else would begin to listen. Someone who wanted to know what she didn?t want them to know. And so she left. Left with arrangements half-made, with promises unkept, secrets unwhispered. This was the way it had always been. Find a place she could call home, become attached, and just have to leave again. That helps. Other than that, you could try those cloth things, the ones with medicine in them especially for acne; or, if you are a girl, you could always use those Clean&Clear things, the make-up sticks that hide your acne while simultaniously clearing your pores and making the acne go away. I know, I've used it. :)[/size]

[size=1]I have to admit, I was kind of desperate. I see how the font isn't centered on the third one, but I was having fun just keeping it ON the black bar. ^_^; Yes, I am using MSPaint, and it's because I can't get anything better. I can't do much about how grainy the picture is, the entire picture was that way. I think it might have been drawn on something like watercolor paper or something. Yes, I know I need new fonts, and I [b]want[/b] new fonts, believe me. I don't tend to put font on a banner if I can at all avoid it, but he wanted a font on it. I also don't tend to make my banner's so big, but I was just looking at how big his banners had been before and making my own judgement. :) Don't worry people, this one is on my list of not so good out of the ones I've done. [size=1]All right, I just saw this today, and I think the movie is pretty good. We rented it from Blockbuster, as a new release, and I wanted to get everyone's opinion. I guess I should tell some of you what it's about. It is, ironically enough, about a merchant of Venice, who lends a friend 3,000 duckets (or however it's spelled; I'm guessing), and is lent 3,000 in return by a Jew (in this day and age the lending thing was illegal.). When it is time for the merchant to pay up, he finds out all three of his ships have crashed, thus, leaving him moneyless, and so he cannot pay his debt. The bond was that if he didn't pay, the Jew could have a pound of the mans flesh that he chose. Meanwhile, the Jews daughter runs away with her love, and the guy who had the money lent to him gets married. When they find out the merchant is being put on trial, they rush over. It's a Shakespear piece, and, although it wasn't the best, I thought it was pretty good. It is rated R for nudity, by the way, but it has Jeremy Irons, Joseph Fiennes, and Lynn Collins. :) One I'd give a four out of five.[/size]
