Jiae lay on the ground, her brain fuzzy. She thought she should be in pain, but she wasn't. SHe could move, and the Waska girl touched her shoulder with one hand. She gasped. Its not wounded! She managed to sit up, opening her eyes. SHe instantley regretted doing so. Jiae's head started to pound, and she graoned. Jiae looked around, and saw that her wounds were healed, and the bolts - gone. To her left, though, was a Lyc. She gaped at him, then he cursed. She started backwards a little bit, but winced in pain as she felt that not all of her bones had been healed. Better fix that. She placed a hand on her ribs, and started to heal them - but stopped. The way her fourth, seventh, eighth, and ninth ribs were broekn or fractured was familiar. THe Waska girl bit her lip, and kept healing. Before... before Dannin had been killed, (so brutally murdered., she thought)she had been a skilled mage, able to do magic as freely and effectivley as she wanted. And then, he had gone, died, left her, and for years all she could do was minor healing spells, and definatley not locater spells. SHe had regained some of her magic through the years, but not all of it. When she had seen that Kippor, they had locked eyes. SHe had seen something in them that she had defined - loss. Loss of a loved one. She shook her head, then clutched at it in pain. But he's a vampire, he never.... but yes, he could have. You have to be human, or whatever, before you can be a vampire.
  2.
"They admire us," Man, you're one funny ducky. I can honestly not think of anyone who admires the US. Speaking from a wide range of friends and contacts, and my general knowledge of what is going on in the world, nobody admires the US. Not that many even like it. On a side note, how many of you even notice the words on the money? It should be removed for basic reasons, but does anybody here even notice the words that often? Oh, and HOTpage, and all you others...when a big bunch of kids are beating your face into the ground remember this -Majority rules. Right? Right?
Exactly. I can't think of how many times something like this has been... okay, I'll stop. 'Beautifully put it'? Thank you, Chibi! You know... your right, Baron. Why exactly DO we care whats on the money? Its not like thats forcing us to be Christian.
I'm too damn tired to space everything out from your post, so I'll say this first then add the rest: My kids will be the ones beating up your kids on the playground.
Gods! I hate to say this but, I have to. Guys, I'm dropping out. I'll read it every now and then, but I'm not really doing much, and well... Yeah. So I'm dropping out. You can have my little rich girl get killed, or go home, or keep her in because you like her. But I am dropping out. Don't have enough time for it, and it isn't going very far, anyway. Good luck! 4.
*facepalm* This is rediculous. If this forum were mine, I'd ban the people that blatantly told other people to 'sit down and shut up' because of what they do or don't believe in. Saying that America was created 'under God' is another arguable topic. The US is supposed to be the land of the free, not the land of the Christians. There is no logical explination to anyone who thinks of people who believe in different things as lesser or second-class citizens. And I know for a fact that the Christian God does not tell you to spite other religions or beliefs, not unless its some pretty messed-up branch. I honestly think that 'In God We Trust' should be taken off the dollar bill, and so should every other descreet symbology such as the masonic all-seeing eye. Why? Because not everyone believes in the same thing. You can't assume it's okay to put your religion on currency, because in this world, people will get mad, and they will definitely not sit down and shut up. You say the US was created under God because it says so in the pledge? Well, that's another thing that needs to be edited if we want to be the truely free country we're always saying we are. Also, *points to the second post* America has no right to tell people what religion to have, or to remind people about a certain deity. This isn't the middle ages. *points to post above him* What the hell? Were have you been? America is one of the most hated countries in the world. Do you watch TV? Do you read the newspaper? We're big, sure. We're powerful, sure. But we're like the hyperactive social worker. We'll help people that don't want to be helped, and we stick our nose where it shouldn't be. I'd imagine it's annoying.
Wow. Dang. Okay. ::takes deep breath:: About the thing above us(not Bios, the other guys): Whos we? Dude, you may be Cristian, but not everyone is! Technically, we should be telling you guys to sit down and shut up! But are we- Sorry, I'm rambling. I hate it when people judge others by what they believe in!
I think it would do the country good if we told the other Athiests to shut up. This land was made under God and thats how it should be. With the debate on taking the ' One Nation Under God' out of our pledge than it would be the 'In God we Trust' out of the money and I dont even want think of what else. We beleive God is the one taking care of us, and if we turn our backs on him, what ifluence would that be on other countries, cause I know some countries look up to us as a leader. They admire us, and taking any kind out God out of anything of ours would just be wrong. So yeah, tell the other 14% to Shut the he** up!
Like I said, whos we? And who says were turning our backs? I mean, I'm not exactly sure what diety I believe in, but I think they are all teh same thing. SO, called God, Artemis, Luna, Aphrodite, or Alah, or even nothing at all, I don't think the gods really care. I mean, if they had wanted us to keep them in here, they wouldn't have given us a chance to take them out. After all, they have the power to destroy Heaven, hell, in between, Summerlands, everywhere if they want, so whats the point in fighting about it?
  5. Devi shivered. It wasn't exactly cold, persay, but she felt like something wasn't right. She smiled at a little girl with her mother, also smiling at the mother, who returned the smile. Devi was wearing faded denim flare leg jeans with white cat whiskers, which were also hip-huggers. She wore a white tank with gold glitter wings on the front, on eather side of the word Angel, in cursive. On over it Devi was wearing a white denim jacket, with the sleeves rolled up to her elbows. She had black leather boots on, with next to no heels. Devi brushed her hair over her shoulder. The mother pointed to her, leaning over to speak to her daughter. "Hunny, maybe you'll grow big and beautiful like her." The little girls hazel eyes widened, and she said, "Really? Wow! Maybe I can be an angel, like her!" Devi blushed, and laughed. "I'm not an angel, love." The mother smiled at her, and Devi walked off. A cold feeling, like a ball of ice, was sitting solidly in the bottom of Devi's stomach. She didn't know why, but she knew, just knew, that something was wrong. The solid form of her .22 against her side comferted her somewhat. She looked at the ground, watching the slush around her feet. The girl crushed a clump of ice under her boot, and she sighed, looking up at the sky. It was clear blue, yet cold, and seeming to laugh at all the humans that scurried across the street. A couple crows danced in the chilly wind, and a large shadow passed over her. She looked up, but saw nothing. The sun was bright, and cold, mean. A smell of smoke touched Devi's nose for abut a second, then disappeared. She shuddered. It was nothing, Jiae, nothing. She stood next to a cluster of people, hugging herself, her breath steamy in the cold air. They were all waiting for the cars to stop, so they could cross the street. The light turned red, and the cars slowed. A couple people glanced at the light above their heads, and it turned to 'Walk'.
  6. Dezerea hummed as she slipped ehr finished morning assignment into her binder. It was a new one her sister had gotten her, and was black. She had silver gel pen doodles all over it, and her name. She got out her book, Mercedes Lackey, Magcs Promise. She loved the Valdimar series, and Vanyel was awsome. SHe read it with awsome speed, and set it down to get out her snack. She had gotten a chocolate chip granola bar, and some chips. SHe munched on them as her eyes whirred across the pages. She was still humming.

Jiae looked at Gothkir as he limped away. She scrunched up her brow, then launched herself back into battle. Her staff was swirling with unimaginable spead, and it cracked into a couple peoples heads. Her mind, though, was elsewhere. How she fought without getting hurt in this state, no one ever knew. Jiae screamed as a waska boy was flung into a wall, his bones shattering. SHe ran, her sword gleaming, at his attacker. She was flung back into a wall, and slid to the ground as the thing walked over to her friend, grinning savagley. Jiae said, "YOU MOSNETR!" The demon laughed, and turned to her, and she screamed in pain. The dead body of her friend lay at his feet. The Waska mage held up a bruised hand and flame danced around her body. The flame engulfed her sword, and she rushed the monsetr, her sheild flinging up around her as the sword slid neatly into the things stomach. It screamed in rage and pain, and she started to hack it to bits. When she wad one, she slid to the ground, cradling the Waska boys broken body in her arms, sobbing. She flung the sword away, horrified. SHe vowed she would never wield another one, ever. Her friend, lover, brother, was dead... Dannin... Jiae gasped as a bolt finally struck home. It thunked solidly into her shoulder, and she fell with a shriek from the roof top. She hit the ground and rolled into the shadows, breathing hard, shuddering. More bones broken... The waska girl slid into unconciousness.

  9. Jiae laughed with the rest of her team as they sang their victory song. They ended up all lying on the floor of the locker room, laughing hysterically. THe coach poked her head in. "Okay, girls. I fyou want pizza, I'd suggest getting into your good clothes, and hustlin'!" The girls all got up, and started changing. Jiae laughed with Michelle as she tried to sing Barbie Girl. "I'm a barbie girl, in a barbie wooorld-" The girl fell to the floor, shaking hard with laughter. "Sorry, guys, my sister was singing that earlier." Jiae laughed. She stuffed her uniform and the ball into her bag, and zipped it closed, slinging it onto her shoulder. SHe got up, and said,a s te other girls got finished, "Race you all to the vans!" She took off running, and burst through the door. The rest of the team was behind her, and they all raced towards the parking lot, where the vans were parked. Soon they were all piled in the vehicles, and the soccer moms started driving. When they reached Ci Ci's the girls all pushed tables together, and ordered. The team had won, and they were going to the finals. As she laughed and joked along with her team mates, Jiae's mind was elsewhere. She knew, somehow: the Gathering would be soon, in New York. And the girls next game would take them there, for the Finals. Jiae got up, and excused herself, heading to the restroom. She got in there, and washed her face with cool water. Then she locked herself in a stall as the headache came on. Her eyes got blurry, and she sat on the toilet seat as her mind whirled. Flashback, California, 1940 Jiae hummed as she walked down the street. It was off-key. A little girl clung to her hand, large silver eyes wide. Jiae looked down at her, a smile on her face. "Tanji, do you like California?" The little girl nodded, mouth wide. The mother picked up her daughter, carrying the young girl. Tanji was only 11 months old, but she could already walk. She was small, and didn't like to talk. Jiae carried the little girl, who clung to her. She sat down on a bench, and smiled at the little girl. Tanji climbed off her lap, and got off the bench. Jiae said, "Tanji, stay close." The little girl nodded, and started walking around, exploring. Suddenly, before Jiae could do a thing, a car was screaching around the corner. The lady inside was screaming as the car skidded around, and opened the door. Her children flung themselves out. Jiae screamed, and Tanji froze. The car hit the little girl, and she was lost. It ahd all happened in a second. Jiae screamed as the car slowed on the grass, and the mother went limp inside. The children ran over, crying. "Mommy!" "Mother!" THe lady inside said, "Chelsea, Darien, I'm okay! Darien, call the ambulence!" The boy, oldest, ran to a pay phone, dug out some change and dialed. Soon sirens could be heard. Jiae knelt next to the nose of the car, choking on sobs. The body of her daughter, Tanji, lay broken and bloody. She didn't move; the girl was dead. Jiae wailed in sorrow, and crumpled on the ground. End Flashback Jiae silently sobbed as it came back to her. She had made ehrself forget, and now, it had surfaced, bubbling fiercly into her mind. OOC: Yes, actually, I did. ^^ I don't have enough brain present to do another post. Tanji was Jiae's husband's(or the guy who was) daughter. Her real mom was dead.
  10. Kris was startled as Hunter dragged her out of the room. She jerked out of his grasp, and he turned around to look at her. "Look, Hunter. Joey and I can work this out. Okay?" SHe darted past, and caught up with Joey. SHe caught the ther girls arm. "Kris, I said-" "I know, Joey-" "Then why-" "Listen, gods!" Kris' sudden tone startled Joey into silence. "We can do this together, if you won't let me do it by myself, because I am not letting you go into something you can't handle!" Joey glared at her. "And you can handle it?" Kris sighed. "I've done astral projection before, so yes, I could handle it." She smiled at Joey. Joey looked startled. "But, one of us has to stay with Hunter-" Kris shook her head, cutting off Joey's protest. "Joey, if we both go, atleast one of us will come back, if not both. And I can't go into the spirit world knowing you wanted to - then my mind wouldn't be clear. And if you went, I wouldn't be able to live with myself if something happened to you." Her eyes expressed true concern. "Together?"

Jiae launched herself to the side as another cross bow bolt thudded into the turf where she had been standing. She dodged the projectiles with amazing speed, and glanced up at the roof-top. SHe cursed in sveen different languages, and the string of profanity she let out would have made a sailor wince. The Waska girl grabbed Riho, who cursed when she bumped him, and rolled to the ground, in the shadows. SHe hissed in his ear, very cat-like, "Stay down. I'll be right back to deal with that cross bolt." SHe darted out, and looked at the other Waska. "That could have been the stupidest thing you have ever said!" SHe darted over, and cursed. He couldn't fight well with a shoulder wound. Jiae hissed in pain as a bolt whirred past, hitting her arm, re-opening the earlier wound. She let out another string of curses. "We need to get up there, and show those mother f-ers who's boss."

OOC: Sorry about my outburst. I just felt.... mad. ^^ IC: Jiae smirked down at the form of Gothikr. He was just starting to come to. He blinked at her groggily. "Well, well, well. This kitty has claws, remember that." She looked over at Sardik, who was nursing a wound on his shoulder. He glared daggers at the Waska girl. She sat on the ground, survying her arm wound. It had healed over nicley, but it still hurt like hell. "THat was one hell of a scratch you gave me." The guy blinked at her again, trying to sit up. "I wouldnt do that if I were you." He fell back, wincing. "I hit you on the head with my staff - moving would not be the best idea."
  13. OOC: ::dies:: THat was so funny, Bry! IC: kris looked up, the vacant look still in her eyes. A spark flared in her, and she smiled. Hunter had a brief look of relief in his eyes, and said, "Are you sure?" Kris laughed. "Of course I'm sure. I knowI have you guys to back me up." SHe locked eyes with everyone in the room. Kris felt some power coursing thorugh her body. "So, when do you want to do this?" Hunter bit his lip, eyebrows scrunched together in thought. "well..." Kris offered some information. "Well, its close to Halloween, right?" Hunter nodded, not seeing where she was going. Kris kept going. "Witches call the holiday Samhain((pronounced Sowen)), and it is said that the barriers between the physical world and the spiritual world are lowest on that night." "SInce its only two nights away, we could do it then. It would be easier for me to make the transaction that way, and I don't think we would need to lower a gate." Hunter looked at her, eyes wide. "How did you...?" Kris shrugged nonchalently(sp?). "My aunt is a witch. She worships the dead on Samhain, and sometimes they talk to her. I've seen enough spirit traveling to know how to do it. As long as I have everyones support behind me, it should be easy."

OOC: DAMN! You guys, she is NOT that weak! I really don't want to drop out, but you guys are god modding! And that is not freakin fair! IC: Jiae bit her lip in pain. 15. Well, I wad doing some research, and this came up: Apparently there are different personalities for the years, too. Myabe the reason you two are different is because your years are different. ^^ I was born 1991, as a goat, and my personalities are very close. Destiny's, though, are kinda... different. Rabbit(delicate), and Libra(non-delicate) if you see what I mean. You know, I think they made this stuff because they knew we were gonna come up with this eventually. ::nods sagley:: j/k. I think they made it because a majority of people born on the same dates all acted alike, or something. But of course, people change. I also think its like the superstition thing: It works if you believe in it.

Jiae whistled as she walked down the street, staff in hand. She was humming off-key, which annoyed most people. SHe found a pretty shady spot, and leaned on a tree for a bit, surveying her surroundings. She laughed silently to herself as some guy - apparently a Waska, like her - killed two guards. She called, "Cat-boy!" THen she ran over, quick and agile. SHe glanced at the bodies, then launched herself over the gate after him. He spun around after hearing her, and her quick wits saw the konai fly at her. THe staff came up, and the blade thunked solidly into the wood. Jiae smirked. She dislodged the konai, and threw back deftly. "Chill. I'm Jiae. You don't see many Waska's around here. I saw the way you took out those guards." Her eyes fluttered at him slightly. Her body moved in the subtle ways that always seemed to find meaning to a males body, even though their eyes could never see the movements. The moon was indeed bright, because she could see his suspicion. His whole body radiated it, and the way his eyes moved - he doubted her.

  19. Kris stood outside the hospital, hugging herself. She looked up at the sky- clear, blue, and without a trace of the inevitable evil that lurked. SHe closed ehr eyes, and swallowed. The nurses had let her out of the room, but never beyond the garden. SHe started back towards her room, passing people in the halls. She payed attention to no one, her eyes empty. Kris bit her lip in frustration. She would wait until everyone was there to go in. She took her time, and when she got there, Joey and Paul were there, talking with Hunter. Kris knocked, then went in, her face blank. She sat in a chair, looking at her hands which where in her lap. SHe fiddled with her skirt, her eyes studying the weave. Her legs were crossed, and she was silent. The girl had to constantley brush the now-short hair from her eyes, behind her ears. She ad left it out of its normal braid, and it had two braids, behind each ear, and two braids that came from just above her ears and were tied together behind her head. It only fell to just past her shoulders. Kris' mind was blank, and,a s the otehrs arrived, she gave everyone a secluded smile.
  20.
Well, as a soon to be parent I think that telling someone to Sit down and Shut up is considered rather rude and inconsiderate of others feelings. If you were in the minority's position I doubt you'd feel the same way. The reason there's such a big to do is because even the 86% that believe in God can't decide on what the right way is to Worship Him/Her (Yes, I said her, and I'll get to that too) Heck, even the people who worship in the same church in the same denomination can't decide which way of worship is correct. :wigout: I think that people should stop being so shallow brained about others beliefs. There are other religions besides those based on a single diety. Some people even believe that God is a woman. :D I have to wonder about the whole poll or whatever that determined that 86% of Americans believe in God. Did they specify that they believe in a Christian God or was it on a broader spectrum of believing in God? I'm asking this because although I believe in a God, I don't beleive in the Christian verson of God. So this theory is flawed. Of topic: when I become president, I'm going to imprint some of the money with: In Goddess We Trust
Your gonna be a mom? Cooly! Goddes Bless, babe! Yuo people are kinda confuzzling, actually. About the Hell thing: Well, I like how Dan put it, but I also agree with what my Onechan said. "Those who don't know what Heaven is have no right to tell others to go to Hell." :: opens mouth:: I'm rambling...
Every man believes in God deep down in his heart ,or they would not replace Him with images of man made creations, or supress him within their soul... 23. Tanji looked around her room. Small, but comfy. She smirked. Like I'm gonna be in here for long. SHe put her hands on her hips as she surveyed her surroudnings. "Not much," she muttereed. SHe grabbed her staff, and went to the small window. She watched the street from there, and drew the blinds. SHe unlocked the door, exited, then re-locked it behind her. SHe left the building, whistling a tune that wasn't really a tune. She hummed, and made a bee-line for the large mansion. Her sharp eyes locked on a pair, then she shook herself. Oddly, she ran into someone. **** She gave Andy a smirk. "WHy, if it isn't Andy."
  24. Tanji walked down the street, whistling. She seemed innocent enough, and looked like a regular adult in the crowded streets of New Delhi. SHe bustled around, using her staff as a walking stick. She glanced around, looking for a place to crash. She spotted a place - it was an English named hotel, but who cared? Her boss didn't as long as she got the job done. Tanji looked around, still whistling. SHe went to the door of the English hotel, and leaned on her staff as if tired as a young couple exited the building. She flashed them a smile, then entered. SHe went to the lobby counter. "Sir? Do you have a small room free?" The man looked up. A smile flashed up. "Of course. Follow Daniel." It was an English name - she wondered what an English boy was doing in New Delhi. Tanji followed the boy to her room, and be left her to get comfertable. She leaned her staff on the wall, and locked the door behind her.
