Trilby hugged Rika as she came to. She said, ?OMG! Hey, Rika-chan are you alrig-? she stopped as Rika held a finger to her lips. Then she sighed. Trilby lit up and said, smiling, ?Rika, this is Ryu, my twin. Ryu, this is my best friend, Rika.? Ryu smiled, and hed out a hand. Trilby turned to the group. ?Well, now that Rikas alright, we should be ready. That guy hit us, and hard. He attacked our friends, knowing they were our weak spots, and that we?d do anything for them. What will he try next, I don?t know. Maybe make us turn against one another.? Kris slammed her locker shut, furious. She turned heads as she walked down the hall, and turned a corner. She ran into Hunter again - literally. She fumed. "Goddamnit! What the hell is wrong with those spirits!" Hunter looked at her, shocked. "Uhh... are you okay, Kris?" Kris glard. "OBVIOUSLY not!" Joey smirked. Wearing flip-flops on the street could result in serious burns, sometimes even deadly, to your feet, as the ground burns with heat and seeming anxiety. Anxiety? For what? It was nearing the time of Raid, which, for the past thirty years, has been a time of peril. For the past thirty years, bombs have dropped like rain, killing those within a 5-mile radius. The only safe place was underground. No, there was one other place. A place called Haven. Haven was a grove of tree?s magically protected in the middle of the desert, covered by an illusion. Only a chosen few and those lucky enough can find it. For 30 yrs, people have gotten into the habit of diving underground when Raid came. For 30 yrs, the tradition of celebrating about Jesus and the Crone was cast away in an attempt to preserve humanity, as were race, culture, and any religion. For 30 yrs, teens grew into grown ups, grown ups to old folk, old folk died, and babies grew to teens. For 30 yrs, these people were killed one by one by Dyran, the enemy government of Lacunas. For 30 yrs, all hide in their basements and root cellars, hiding anywhere they could, some still getting caught by the poison gas and impact from the bombs. Now, they wait, wondering who will die, and who will live to pray they will live after next Raid. All hold their breath, and wait for the bombing to begin. Only, none does. All is silent, no bombs explode, no poison gas seeps into unprotected spots to kill the occupants, and nothing pollutes the air. The temperature drops from 102 degrees to a bearable 95. Everyone waits for a day and a night, and still nothing happens. People come out of hiding, crowding the streets on awestruck groups, all packed together. A murmur or relief and awe sweeps through the streets of Lunar. All but nine teens, 3 at the YMCA fields, 3 at the third floor library, and 3 at the outskirts of town. The trio at the outskirts are a group of two girls and one boy. They control elements. The group at the Y are all boys, and they are telekinetic. The three at the library, all girls, are alters. They can alter matter?s many forms. All can use telepathy, though none know that anyone other than the others in their group have these powers. The powers they are unaware of are the ability to change into an animal and ?talk? with the animal they ?borrow? the form of. Last but not least, they can teleport. The trios all stare, wide eyed, at one another, their thoughts circulating. ::This isn?t right.:: ::Something?s gone wrong.:: ::Way weird.::Nine others hear these thoughts, Sensatives. Nine others now feel the dread of doubt. Twelve yr old twins, a mother, three junior high students, and three teachers. They all have the potential to do what the nine teens can. Skye felt her face start to heat up, and the song became faster paced. She took his hands, grinning, and danced. She searched her mind, trying to remember - ah, yes, Stacies Mom. Thats what the song was. She grinned at him. 'Stacies mom has got it goin' on.' She laughed, and broke away from Jason, as she started dancing with one of her friends from school, Daniel. He grinned back at her, and they danced. SKye eventually stopped dancing, and ran off the rink. She went up to the counter and got some Vanilla Coke, torilla(torteeya) chips and salsa. She went over to Rem and TJ, and sat by her sister, sharing.

Keas head snapped up, and her eyes blurred. She heard screaming, and then - nothing. She looked up at Jessicas worried and anoyyed face. "Well?!" Kea flinched. "I have to go." Kea grabbed her things, and rushed out the door. SOmething was wrong, something besides what Jessica had told her. Kea ran around town, frantically trying to find it. She collapsed into sobs on the ground in the park. Something fell out of her pocket into her veiw. [i]Jim.[/i] She took her cell phone out of her pocket, and dialed. "Hello? Is this Jim? This is Kea."

Kea walked home, instead of going to dance, thinking. She came to her apartment, and heard the sterio was on. She sighed. [i]Wonderful, Michelles home. Kea hugged her, and said, "Come with me." She took her friends hand, and pulled her to their bedroom. She sat with Jessica, holding her, stroking her hair, loving her."Whats wrong?" Jessica explained how she had been so so worried. And kea bore it all.

Skye smiled and took the obviously embarrassed Jason's hand. She pulled him farther in the gorup, and smiled. She leaned close, and told him what she told Jacob, "Relax, just do it." She grabbed his hands, and put them on her waist, then put her arms on his shoulders, her hands handing down. SHe smiled as the song changed - another slow one called Someone To Hold Me Tonight, by a band that had broken up two years ago, Dreamstreet. She started humming - she had been one of the biggest fans. SHe closed her eyes as the lgiths went dimmer, and touched her forehead to Jasons. SKye new he was blushing, though she couldn't see it.

Kris had been up all night on the internet, and had come up with a couple copies of the books. All were used, and in fair condition. She was in the hallway, and walking down it to her locker when she bumped into Hunter- again. She blushed, then laughed, surprising herself and Hunter. She said, "Sorry, Hunter." She saw the other girl. Kris smiled at her. "Hi! I'm Kris! Are you new?"

Skye didn't pull back, though, and it was a true, though short kiss. She smiled. That seemed toloosen him up, and she whispered, "Don't think about copying me; just let your body do it. Its natural for humans to move like this. Your body will know how to do it if you let it." Truth to tell, she was a [i]little[/i] afraid Jacobs girlfriend would show up, but hey, it was her 13th birthday, and what was one brief kiss? She felt someone touch her shoulder, and she glanced over ehr shoulder. She grinned, and turned back to Jacob. "Mind if I dance with J a bit?" Jason shok his head, and was lost in the crowd. Skye turned to Jase, and met him. There bodies moved, syncronysing(sp), and Skye grinned.

Skye smiled. She new Jacob couldn't dance, so she let her arms drop down to around [i]his[/i] waist. She pulled closer, and whispered inhis ear, "Just do what I do. And don't worry about the others!" They were swept up, and lost in the huge crowd of dancers. Skye could spot Rem dancing with one of her guy friends from school, and Dea was still skating. Skye touched Jacobs forehead with ehrs, and looked into his eyes. Blue met hazel, and she laughed, still singing.

OOC: Its Skye! IC: Skye hugged Jacob, almost making him lose his balance. She grinned, and released him. "Didn't run into any old ladies on the way here?" Jacob laughed, and shook his head. Everyone skated for about an hour, until they heard over the intercom, "Okay, anyone who wants to dance, go to the center of the ring and stay inside the black line. Skaters, stay outside the black line." Skye skated to the edge, and hopped out. She went to the bench where hers and Deas stuff was, and took off her skates. She motioned for Jacob to follow her. Sock-fotted, the held hands and, waiting, dashed across to the middle where others were coming. THe lights went low again, and SKye grinned as she heard the first few notes of Outrageous, her fave song at the moment. SKye grabbed Jacobs hand, and pulled close as everyone started dancing. SHe wrapped her arms around his neck, and hummed until the singing started. 'Outrageous as I want to be. Got these fellas chasin' me It bout time I hit the streets All my girls still feelin' me B-girl ain't lost the beat Jumped all the drama and I landed on my feet Got to keep going no stoppin' me And if you don't like it then.'

Skye chased her around while Ray paid for everyone. They all entered, chatting. Skye ran into TJ- literally. He hugged her. "I got here firts. No matter HOW much your friend wanted to." He pointed at Jason. Skye ran over, and hugged him. SHe was extatic(sp?) and sooo happy. She went over and got her inlines, and took off her shoes. She went with Dea to a small bench, and strapped on the skates. She stood, and sakted out to the ring. She grinned at everyone as she went past.

Trea found the note in her locker, and just stared t it for about five mintes until a book falling out of her over stuffed locker fell on her head. SHe rubbed her head, and picked up the book, stuffing it back into her locker. She grabbed the rest of her things, and closed the locker. Trea ran her eyes over the note one last time before shoving it in her pocket, and going to class. ~~~~~~~ That afternoon, after school, Trea was walking along the sidewalk when she remembered the note in her pocket. She took it out, scanned it with her eyes, then sprinted off in the direction of the creek. Ten minutes later she slid to a stop at the creek. No one was there- yet. The hairs on the back of her neck stood up, and she snapped around. She faced Hunter. Trea relaxed. Hunter grinned. "What, thought I was a ghost?" Trea nodded. Then she smiled, and, suprising Hunter, laughed. "Call me Kris. Please."

Skye hugged Jase. She quickly ran up to her room after hugging Ray. She locked the door, and got out of the robe. She had picked out an outfit of a black tanktop with gold angel wings on it and the word 'Cute' on it. SHe had black hiphugger jeans with gold whiskers, and slipped into them. She dug through her wardrobe, and pulled out her kitten socks and grabbed her black tennis shoes from the closet. When she was done, she went into the bathroom, and brushed her hair out, now fully dry. It fell across her shoulders in waves of chesnut silk, and she ran her fingers through it for good measrue. Skye took out the hoop earrings, and grabbed the small pair of green jade hearts on gold rings that Ray had given her last year. When she was done, she grabbed her coat, and went downstairs. They were giving Jase a ride, and Skye grabbed her purse from by the door. She looked around. "Wheres TJ?" It was now six thirty.

OOC: LOL How about Jase? IC: Steph was just getting out of the shower when the doorbell rang. She slipped into her robe, picked up the dirty clothes, and dumped them into her hamper. She toweled her hair dry as she heard Rem open the door, and grinned as she heard her say, ?Hey, Jase! Come in, Steph will be down a sec.? A minute later, she heard Rem say from outside her door, ?Steph, Jase is here.? Steph tied the bathrobe, and got out. She put on her slippers, and followed Rem downstairs. She flew at Jase. ?Jase!? She hugged him hard. She sat down next to him. ?Hey, Rem, what time is it?? Rem checked her watch. ?A quarter till six.? Steph sighed. ?Time passes fast.
