I added myself but Michigan already had one! Ha! Figures. Oh well, I don't mind sharing this state ^^ Gotta love Michigan though, I can point to my hand to tell you where I live.

Besides all the classics of Zelda and Mario, I'm going to go with a couple that I've had on repeat lately: Silent Hill 2- Laura's Theme is a very nice track, mellow but sort of upbeat. I really love Silent Hill music in general but this is one of the more "rock" ish tracks. It's non-vocal but still amazing. It's just so...relaxing really. I mean it has that rock feel without being overbearing. I still haven't played this game though but the music from it really makes me wish I had. Chrono Cross- Fragments of a Dream Just a simple music box tune to the CC theme. Yet it remains one of my favorite songs ever. It honestly sounds like a real music box, they really did make music boxes of it actually. It was perfect, in my opinion, to play at the "Fin~" screen and even without having just beaten the game, is still nice to listen to. Most CC music makes me recall good memories too and this one does. Final Fantasy 9- Loss of Me Another mellow song, medium paced and only piano. But it's absolutely beautiful and very sad sounding. It was a sad part of the game too and you can really feel that from the song. I wish I had the whole soundtrack. So, those are my three. There are tons more but well, that'd be a long list ^_~

Movie Sign! Alright folks, the last time OB had an MST3K thread was back in 02 so here's a fresh one. If you don't know what it is, then here's a little bit stole right from the wiki: Mystery Science Theater 3000 (1988?1999), usually abbreviated MST3K, is a cult television comedy series created by Joel Hodgson featuring a man and his robot sidekicks who are trapped on a satellite in space and forced to watch particularly bad movies. Series creator Hodgson originally played the stranded man, Joel Robinson. When he left in 1993, series head writer Michael J. Nelson replaced him as new B-movie victim Mike Nelson, and continued in the role for the rest of the show's run. There was also a movie called "This Island Earth", as well as a few "trailer" features. They've also guest starred on a few shows. Basically, you would see Joel or Mike at the bottom of the screen with Crow and Servo, the robots, in a movie theater seating. They would mock the movie and we'd laugh. There were 10 seasons before it was fully taken off the air. To date, 8 boxsets have been released and there are numerous little dvds are floating around. Personally, this show did what I've always done: Made fun of crappy movies. We all do it. We've all seen that one crappy movie that was torture to watch. These guys made a show out of it and it remains my favorite TV show. I think my favorites are "Prince of Space", "Boggy Creek 2", "Pumaman" and Mr. B's Shorts. I also prefer Mike over Joel but that's just different tastes. So! What about you guys? Anyone else know this show? Give me your favorite one, or favorite quote or Joel vs. Mike. Just talk about MST3K, eh? ^_~ In closing: We like it very much!
It's so true, and it's the reason a lot of exams don't actually examine your knowledge of the subject. I don't know about other countries, but I have issues with the English examination system. It's getting to the point where classes teach you how to pass the exam, rather than teaching you Biology or English Literature. Luckily it gets better once you're outside compulsory education - I'm actually allowed to argue my own opinion in university papers, instead of regurgitating what the exam board wants me to say.
I think it's like that in a lot of places. Most teachers will teach you so you can pass the state test or the ACT or whatever. A lot of times I get frustrated in a class when I finally find something interesting and we barely cover it, because the testers won't have it on the final or whatever. Lots of problems with the education system but that's another thread all together. But as for strange writing prompts, I do hate a lot of the ones I was given. Usually I just would BS my way through them and get my A. Although, I don't like that system. I think one time we had one on "what was your favorite pet?" or something. I mean, don't get me wrong, I don't want to sit there and ponder the meaning of life. I just don't want to discuss my dog for a page and a half, even if she is very cute.
I have two more questions! If you could travel in time, and could only choose to either go into the past, or into the future, what would you choose? I remember I fell up the stairs and sprained my knee when I was younger. Most people say that's impossible, even though it's true! So, do you think falling up stairs is possible?
I'll answer both! ^^ If I could travel time, I'd like to go into the future, beyond my years, see what I'd miss. The future is so interesting to me, I'd love to know what happens to humanity, what comes up next in technology...hell, it'd be cool just to eat in a food court of the future or see a movie of the future (random MST3K reference, sorry) Really, I just want to see what the future holds. Although, being a history nut, the past would be so much fun...eee, it's actually hard to chose. And I've fallen up stairs plenty of times. It's just tripping while walking up so that you fall forward. I'm clumsy, I can say easily that I've fallen up stairs a lot. Question! Since I was thinking about the future, is there any "futuristic" invention that you'd really like to see happen someday? Mine is needle-less shots, which I've heard are actually in the works. *has a fear of needles*
The worst memories in my life have been at hospitals. I'm way too familiar with them since I was always in and out when I was younger. I saw the people I loved die in hospitals and yeah, I don't like them....
Ah yeah *raises hand* Same problem here. But also my mom works in one. She's always telling me such sad stories about deaths in the hospital and what it's like there. It's really depressing to hear that sweet old man passed away or that someone died alone. I don't know, hearing about some of the workers too...I get really depressed. Some people, a lot of them it seems like, really don't care. I know plenty to but it just seems strange to think that people in a hospital could be so callous. So, I don't like hospitals from my own experience and sometimes I get upset over some of the people who work in them. But I know a lot of the people who work in that field, almost all of them, really do care and I'm glad that hospitals are around. I just would rather not go to one unless it's serious.

Well, I suppose it'd be nice if '06 was better than '05. However, if it's the same as '05, I'll take it. It's weird to say but no matter what happens every year, it still feels overall better than the year before it. At least to me. I think that's because every year I make a few more friends and that's always lovely. Hmm but ideally what I want from this year is a job. Well, I need to make money somehow and a job seems to be it. I'd also like to figure out why I'm in college since I have no idea. This semester I'm taking sociology, mythology and Japanese II but I feel guilty that I'm leaving all the math and science and a few other required classes for my second year, so I want to take a online writing course too. I might not have the money for it right now though. Ah well. Um also I just want to continue making friends, writing and maybe even get more of my book done. And read more. I have pretty low expectations actually ^^ Oh! But over the summer I'm really hoping to see a few net friends. Two of them sound like I really might see them and a third isn't totally sure yet. Here's hoping.

I don't think it's always about effort. I mean, any game company nowadays can afford to throw in good graphics. Usually it's style issues. Cel shading, for example, has been fairly popular lately. Also, OtakuSennen brought up a good point about in-game graphics, I'll agree with that and won't touch on it further lol Really though, I'd rather games didn't get...too realisitic unless it fits that game's style. A lot of games will look fine with cutesy graphics, just the in-game graphics, cel-shaded, etc. The mood of the game, to me, will be helped or hindered by the graphics. Remember, movies aren't video games. I can be deeply involved in a game, like Disgaea, without incredible graphics. All I need are plot and characters. In fact, I like the graphics of Disgaea. Video games are more an escape from reality and movies tend to be more like an alternate reality. But that's just one view on the graphics debate. Also, the OP mentioned Xenosaga. I rather liked the first game's more anime style graphics and found the more real graphics of the second game to be disappointing.

Honestly? I find myself saying it often. It has a deep meaning for me though. I love my friends very much and enjoy telling them this. I'm sure I have said it without meaning it but not to a person, I hope. Maybe I'll say something like "I love oranges" but it's different obviously. ^^ I don't tell all my friends that I love them, even if I do. I think it would make some of them uncomfortable...but it's a general feeling I have for my closer friends. I don't think love ever loses it's effect, unless you've made it do so in your own mind. It hasn't lost anything to me, I still feel very happy to hear it from a friend or family member.

Sign Up Fell Took [PG-13] [Character Profiles]
Sage Kaley replied to Dragon Warrior's topic in Theater
Name: Illiya Role: The Witch Appearance: Illiya is just an average looking young woman, really! Well, sometimes she?ll use her illusions to change her hair color or her eyes?and once she did fix her nose. At any rate, her normal self is fairly, er, normal. Raven black hair that falls down to her mid-back, sometimes braided though her braids are always messy. Her eyes are wider, blue and usually staring at something just off to the left. She looks rather spacey actually and tends to have a bemused smile on her face. Her clothes are common as well, a simple dress and traveling cloak where she keeps a few special perfumes. But you don?t need to know about those, oh no no! Being: Don?t bother asking Illiya how old she is, she?ll most likely explain it in flower years and flowers have much different years than humans. Or witches for that matter. And don?t ask where she came from, because she?ll point a different way each time and explain that there?s a cabin?or a mansion, or a palace or a cave?well some place where she was born with her parents, or wolves or giants or a funny little man with a strange accent. Illiya isn?t so much fond of confusing people as she?s just a confusing person herself. Her speech tends to be random and the information changes constantly. What can she tell you? She?s very good at illusions, it?s her specialty. She?ll go from village to village, weaving her spells, enchanting the masses and taking their gold. It?s not mean though, oh no! It?s a game, yes yes? Everything is a fun game and it?s how she makes her living. She also has her perfumes but those are for emergencies, oh yes. Illiya would much rather just spin her hypnotic spells, because they make people very happy! Or at least, they seem to. Illiya has two companions she?s fond of, although it can be argued she?s fond of everyone. A warlock and a cat. The warlock joins her in her game, fixing her mistakes when she loses. The cat however is a special friend rather than a partner in the game. Illiya likes her very much and sometimes rambles to her. The cat says funny things sometimes, Illiya likes the cat, yes she does. Overall, Illiya is a fine witch, a happy witch and well, rather loopy. But no one holds that against her. -
This is such a weird mix (laughs) Oh Argentine, my iPod, how I love you. 1. Tsugaru: Apple Remix- Dance Dance Revolution Well this one has a very Japanese-y feel to it, then gains a bit more techno in the background. Just a bit though. 2. Frijolero- Molotov (smirks) Okay okay this is such an awful song if you know Spanish and can understand the lyrics but it's insanely catchy. I would sing the chorus here, since part of it is in English but uh, swearing ^_~ 3. Blue- The Birthday Massacre Well this is a rather dark sounding song. The actual music is either hard rock or metal of some type with a cutesy pop feel for the verses. A female sings the verses in a cute voice, while this creepy scream/whisper is the chorus. 4. Life~Faraway Promise- Yasunori Mitsuda from the Chrono Cross OST Ooooh I love this song. It's the song that plays if you beat the final boss, during the in-game ending. It's not my favorite song from Chrono Cross, that honor goes to Radical Dreamers, but the soundtrack to that game is still my favorite. 5. Decay- Rie Fu This one is the English version but I have the Japanese too. I really love Rie Fu's voice, it's very relaxing. Her songs aren't super deep but they are quite catchy and pretty ^^ 6. Superman Song- Crash Test Dummies Ah this song is rather sad actually. It sounds sad, just very soft and the focus is on the singing. Slow and sad sounding but it's nice. 7. I've Got a Theory- Once More With Feeling from Buffy The Vampire Slayer Ahaha this song is so great. The whole Buffy Musical is really good but this is the cutest song on it. Who doesn't love Xander's witch rant and Anya preaching the evil of bunnies? 8. Not Enough- Our Lady Peace This is a sad song too actually. The lyrics are sad and I think the singer does a good job of showing that. It's calm sounding but it's a rock song so it picks up in the chorus and in a part towards the end. One of my all time favorite songs. 9. This Time Imperfect- AFI I don't actually know much of this band's music but my friend had me download this song. I really like it, it's somehow very catchy and it builds up nicely through the song. I've heard their other songs aren't as good but I'd recommend this one (well I recommend all the songs listed, ha) 10. Coin Operated Boy- The Dresden Dolls Ahaha I love this band and I love this song! It's a bit...different but the lyrics are actually quite interesting and the music is catchy, if not a little bit odd. Really, look this up if you don't know it. It's so good. Hee that was very amusing! I like seeing what everyone listens to as well. I heard your playlist says a lot about yourself. ^^ Well hope everyone enjoyed my list

Ah well I'm 18 and I joined the boards because Gav a.k.a Dragon Warrior wouldn't leave me in peace until I did. Literally lol He sat there while I signed up. I'm glad he made me though ^^ I've made a few friends and I love reading the threads here. Now then, I'm 18 and I certainly hope I seem vaguely in that age range...but if you met me, well, different story. I don't look 18 and I really don't sound it at all. I sound much younger. Kinda annoying but I don't mind it too much ^^ I figured most people here would be in their teens though...well, I don't know about mental ages but that's another thread all together.

I'll throw my hat into the ring. (tosses hat into a flaming hoop) I had a MST3K filled Christmas ^^ I got Volumes 6 and 7 of it, which was wonderful. I love that show. Mystery Science Theater 3000 for those who don't know. I also got Aqua Teen Hunger Force Season 2, because I'm easily amused. I'm happy to say I got books too. The Truth and Hogfather by Terry Pratchett and Anansi Boys by Neil Gaiman. And I got a cell phone ^_^ Alltel AX5000. It's one of those flip phone camera deals. That was from my parents though. My friends also got me lovely gifts (hugs them) I'm really happy with how this Christmas went. I seriously think the best gift though was that none of my family fought for once.
You're right. I'm left-handed, which is kind of uncommon. So yeah...good job picking that up. *Claps* I'll admit I cheated a little too. I know that Citrus is Korean. :x Close enough..Actually, I hate my own dog...Chihuahuas suck. But that's Gackt's dog, Bella. And I put her in there in memory of my aunt's beloved "Penny"...I miss her. *sniff* And December Love (a.k.a. 12gatsu no Love Song) is a song by Gackt that is just in time for Christmas. Okay, so I'll do another one too. Sage Kaley. Your recent anime 'obsession' is Kyou Kara Maoh! And you made it look rather festive. The signature explains the Reindeer Games...which explains the antlers on the boy's head. You're part of the Legionnaires, OB's newest Community Event. And Pandora's Hope...hmm...well, Pandora goes all the way back to Ancient Greece, she's the one who opened up the box and let out all of the bad things in the world. Her hope however...possibly to take back what she did...is a sin? I honestly have no clue. XD And as for the S/N...you're real/middle/nick name with the word Sage in front of it. Sages are revered as wise and all-knowing. Perhaps you're psychic. ^__^
Yep ^^ KKM is the only anime I'm really interested in at the moment and with Christmas upon us, it just seemed fitting. The Pandoras bit is tricky but good attempt indeed. Basically you know the story, Pandora opened the box, all the evil flew out and the last thing left in it was hope. I always thought that implied that hope was the worst thing possible. Not that hope was something good but rather something even darker, a sin really. And my name is Kisha but since it's always been pronounced wrong, I wanted to change it to something easy like Kaley. Now I love my name though but the s/n stuck hee. And sage actually comes from Legend of Zelda. Aaand Shinji. Your s/n is from Eva ne? I'm assuming you liked Shinji's character or maybe you feel a bond with him. Or maybe you just like the show. Also you seem to like Simpsons so you probably love comedy and drama, drama being from the Eva bit. Or action. Or both. ^^ That's all I've got from it. A lot of 'or'

Most movies from MST3K...if you watch them un-MSTed then they will break your brain. I think Flight Plan was one of the worst, recent movies I've seen. I tend to be very picky about what movies I actually go see. Also The Ring 2 was absolutely terrible and this is from a fan of the first one.

Might as well give this a try. Eek. Okay Mameha. Well I remember the user name Pumpkin and that always reminded me of the video game Threads of Fate. One of the characters in it, Mint, was afraid of pumpkins. But Mameha, I suppose it's Japanese but it sounds a bit Islander ish too. Or Sailor Moon ish. ^^;; Sorry on that one. The banner/avi though is Misato from Eva isn't it? I haven't been following it lately but it looks like the manga Misato. Misato's character is a pretty interesting one, so I'm guessing you like her. Sometimes I can feel you close...hm...ah maybe showing how she was technically pretty lonely? Or maybe you can relate to her. Either that or it just LOOKS like Misato from Eva and I'm entirely wrong (bows) I probably am! ^^ But it was fun, even if I didn't get any right. And your sig just tells of the user name change and thanks for the banner/avi.

Mmm to me December is a month of deep thoughts and emotional ups and downs. I say deep thoughts because I always end up getting very deary around New Years, reflecting on not just the year but my life in general. It's not always depressing but it generally is. The emotional part comes from Christmas. I really love Christmas to death but it's a holiday of fighting in my family. Not at all peaceful and nice. Some years it is. But not recently, with the death of my Grandma and a very ugly will fight. So to make the month brighter, I always think of the snow. I love the snow more than anything else. Well, you know what I mean. It's just so beautiful and always kicks my writing muses into gear. Snow is just an instant cheer-up for me. And speaking of writing, that is also what December is to me. Time off from school so I can write. It makes me so happy to just sit down and write for hours without worrying about anything. Ah and buying gifts for everyone and sending out cards! The only downside there is if I don't have enough money to get things from everyone. Ah well. Really I do love December ^^ It's not perfect but it's beautiful and relatively calming.

Echo fell back again, tripping over her shoes. She growled low in her throat and ripped the shoes from her feet, tossing them to the side as the creature swung again. Okita moved forward with grace, his sword arching through the air and embedding itself in the beast?s arm. Echo scrambled up, grabbing the sword Okita had given her and falling back behind him, moving into a stance to mirror his own. Okita jumped back, metal flashing in the moonlight before he spun the blade and dove forward. Echo didn?t hesitate, letting her inborn instincts take over. She matched Okita?s move, throwing herself at the monster with a silent cry. It was a monster, pure and simple. A mass of flesh, throbbing and dripping, pus oozing from every pore and blood caked on oddly human teeth, it stood before them like a creature from the latest horror movie. Only it wasn?t. It was real, so very real. Echo?s leg still stung from where it had sliced her calf with its jagged nails. She?d have to heal it later. The smell coming from the thing was terrible, overwhelming with the stick of rotting flesh. It wasn?t overly big and yet it was so deformed that the mass seemed much bigger. It reminded her a bit of a rag doll that had been overstuffed in strange places, albeit a very revolting doll. Echo felt her body yank back and dodge to the left as Okita rolled to avoid a swipe, using his sheath as a shield. She was still mirroring him and stopped long enough to move to the side. How she wished she had a voice right now, if only to vent her frustration. She hated creatures like this. She had dealt with enough strange beasts that she wasn?t fazed by how disgusting it was. However, not being able to kill something was more than a little annoying. Again she replicated Okita?s fluid stances, moving her own blade as he did and joining together to slash at the creature?s arm. There was a sickening squish of flesh and a crack as the swords broke through the arm. A small smile came on her lips as the arm hit the pavement, only to be thrown back suddenly. She groaned, quickly lifting herself off the cement. The arm, detached as it was, had swatted Okita away and sent them both flying. Damn echoing powers sometimes?Echo took a deep breath as the two regrouped, Okita a half step slower than he was previously. The body could still attack even though the parts were separated? That was a new one. ?Echo, to your left!? Okita yelled, spinning to the side to avoid another swipe. She glanced back and slid to right, slashing clumsily at the crawling arm. Luckily it was a good enough hit on it?s own to stun the possessed limb and allow her to go back to Okita?s side. They moved in to attack again but a sudden flash and the beast stumbled back. They both turned and saw Persona standing behind him, two axes shimmering in blood and light. The creature swayed again and now they both saw that Persona?s hit had been critical, the thick neck of the monster split severely on both sides. Echo grimced slightly at the wound but was more than a little happy when Persona moved his blades back into attack position. Okita nodded meaningfully at Echo and the two readied themselves. One more blow. The team rushed forwards, metal shining as the air went still. The blades buried themselves into the creature?s flesh and the monster gave a moan before slumping to the ground, fluids cascading down the rotted corpse. Echo yanked the sword out of it, breathing heavily as she stepped away from the body. ?Glad you made it on time Persona.? Okita said to the man, receiving a nod in return as Persona inspected the corpse. Okita sheathed his sword, walking forward to join him. Echo walked back to the side, grabbing her shoes and slipping them on before moving to her teammates. ?Looks like its dead, well, you know what I mean.? He looked back to the arm, which lay still. ?Take out the head and the body goes with it. Makes sense. This thing is made out of women, a few of them at that.? ?There is more.? Persona said simple, standing up straight. He put his axes back upon his back, motioning for them to follow. Echo kept her hand on her leg, focusing on the minimal healing powers she had to patch up the gash. Once it was fixed she caught up with them. She paused for a moment before holding out the sword to Okita. Okita looked at it and gave her a small smile. ?Keep it for now, I have a feeling we?re going to need it.? He said. Echo nodded, holding it awkwardly at her side. She looked back at Okita and pointed at his stomach. She allowed some of her healing magic to show through. ?Need it?? She repeated but he chuckled, shaking his head. ?That was nothing. It?d take a lot more than that to hurt me.? After that the group fell silent. They hurried on to see Persona?s discovery, each falling into their own thoughts about the bizarre monsters now plaguing Hollywood. Echo shivered, thinking of the creature and glanced back over her shoulder. Strange, she could have sworn they were being followed. Paranoia again, perhaps. Then again, she wasn?t sure of anything now. There was one thing she did know though: This was going to be a long night. ----------------------------------------------------------------- OOC: So sorry this took so long, damn exams. But there we go. If I messed anything up just tell me ^^

Um, I don't know much if anything about metal but I'm popping in to say hello, because Rifle said to. I always get interested by the way metal has so many genres to sort it, so I usually read these threads ^^;; As for what I listen to, Rifle has been slowly opening up my tastes to metal. I know that I like some of Between the Buried and Me. Otherwise most of it is too hardcore for my tastes...but then again, Rifle is breaking through my defenses ^_~ So That's all really, carry on.

I use wiki a lot, mostly because it tends to have hard to find information. From what I've seen it's more accurate than not. Actually I've been allowed to use it on college papers, my writing teacher told us it's accepted here and showed us how to cite it. I mean, I've always known that since anyone can edit it, I should be wary but it doesn't bother me too much. I know it could be wrong but it's usually pretty right, at the least. Fun way to waste time too.

Welp I?ll give this a whirl. Most people don't know me anyway ^^ My name is Kisha, which is constantly pronounced wrong so I will, sadly, answer to Key-sha. However it?s Kish-uh, like the word wish or fish? Just rhyme it with a k and there you go ^^ My name came from a contestant on Family Feud and when I was born my birth was on the radio. My dad used to be a DJ so all his buddies told the listeners where he was?and they sent my dad money. Always a fun story! I?m 18 and have no siblings. I used to be, and admittedly still am, a bit lonely. I?ve always wanted a sister or a brother, so I tend to get clingy with my friends because after awhile I just think of everyone as family. My real extended family have um, issues so we'll move on. Real quick on the topic of friends?I love all my friends dearly so if I end up getting close to someone, I?ll do anything for them. I?m really shy though and I rarely ping people to talk, even if I really want to. (I know I don?t sound shy, I?m an amazing contradiction) So if you want to talk with me, please say hi ^^ I won?t be mad or annoyed, trust me. I?m a college student at Lansing Community College though I live an hour north with my parents still. I?m undecided as to what I?m actually doing though. I almost want to say Psychology since that, and Japanese, are the only classes I have any passion for. But really my joy is in writing. I'm really going to try to be a writer. School doesn?t even come first sometimes if I really feel like writing but I still do just fine with my classes. I?m a skilled procrastinator. Religion-wise I don?t have one. I?m not really agnostic or atheist though. It?d take a huge post to explain everything but I?m open-minded to ideas. My friend told me about Buddhism though and that did sound nice but I feel no rush to decide anything. Sometimes, when I do speak about religion, I?ll sound bitter. I really hope I don?t but I know sometimes I do. It?s just because I get fed up with the ones who you?ll see in the news, telling everyone they are going to hell for their sins and such. I have lots of religious friends and I happen to think they are all wonderful, sane (well, sane enough) and I greatly respect them for having such faith. I just get fed up with that 1% of the population that likes to say God is damning everyone. (example: the after-hurricane rush to say God hated New Orleans) My viewpoints tend to be liberal but I think most liberals in the government are nuts. Same with the republicans there. Actually the government is nuts?er, that?s another topic though. I have a mad love for politics though, so I tend to follow the news closely and rant about it if someone is foolish enough to ask. Hm, music! My iPod, named Argentine after the DNAngel character, is quite the cultural melting pot. American (I?d say English but it?s nearly all from America) and Japanese are the main two but I also have a decent supply of French, Arabic, Chinese, Spanish and Russian. I?m a music whore, I absolutely love music. I?ll also listen to just about anything too, although rock, emo and techno are my main favs. Entertainment media time! TV wise I mostly don?t watch much now, just anime and Adult Swim. The only anime I?ve really watched much of recently is Kyou Kara Maou though. I will also try to catch Lost when I can. I love Sawyer ^^ I?d rather read manga than watch TV now or put in a movie. For manga I read a lot?mostly BL and shounen. Movies I love comedy and I will smite you if I hear any bad talk about MST3K. I like horror too, most recently Japanese and Korean but I?m a wimp. Sci-fi is also huge with me but the MST3K part should be a dead give away there. Video games! I?ve been a gamer addict since I was three, I?m mostly into RPGs and sims, like Harvest Moon. I love Disgaea, Chrono Cross and yes, FF games. My favorite is Kingdom Hearts though. I also love Japanese dating sims and H-games but that?s a really weird um, quirk of mine. Right now I?m playing through Sly Cooper 3 and loving it. It?s harder than the last two. And I love RPing in chats and such ^^ I tend to use characters from the book I?m writing though. Relationships?um?well I?m very into romance and fall in love hard. But let?s avoid this topic ^^;; So um, there, more than you ever needed to know about me. This was way, way longer than I thought it?d be.

Thank you everyone! ^^ I'll make sure to ask for pictures and glomps rather then just snapping...and the dealer room thing was helpful too. I'm sure I'll have fun (if I remember to budget my money heh) I'll hopefull have a story to add to this Monday!

Well let's see, I didn't see a good thread for this and it is anime related so I thought I'd post it. If I am in the wrong then of course strike this thread down. Next weekend I shall be attending Youmacon, a convention here in Michigan (a con? in Michigan? I know, amazing). This will be my first con and I'm excited and nervous. I only vaguely know what to expect, I've heard tales of dealer rooms and crazy skits and random glomps but honestly it's all vague. We'll be staying for all three days so this is pretty much a 'being thrown in headfirst' sort of thing. So what does everyone have to say about cons? Is there anything you must warn me about? A story to tell me? I'd like to enjoy my first con as much as possible but I feel a bit clueless. So anything you guys have to say would be most welcome. On a side note, Youmacon seems pretty impressive for a first year con. I'm really excited about this ^^

Hm, I gotta say I agree more with Red's opinions here but I'll give my own. I don't think about my gender really. I am female but it's not a huge part of who I am. It has never made me want to be a nurse or a stay at home mom. I always wanted to be a singer or an archeologist actually. To me, when I think of being a girl, I just think it means a monthly reminder and babies. Oh and the time I was wrestling Nick and realized that I needed to start wearing a bra. Thinking of what being a male means, I also don't really think of anything. Around here, girls and guys are equal enough that say, in a fight, it's a toss up based on the individual. See, in my opinion I really honestly wouldn't care if a guy watched soap operas and wore a dress. I just wouldn't. I've seen guys like that and it doesn't bother me. If anything, I think the majority of the population leans more towards androgynous. I'm not saying there aren't differences but that the differences are more about the person and not the person's gender. A guy can like cars and not be 'manly' and a girl can wear a dress and not be 'girly'. Gender is a part of it but for most people it is not what defines them.

If someone gave you $1,000,000 what would you do with it?

Wow it'd be nice to have so much. I suppose I'd help out my family first...and my college. Get all that out of the way. I'd buy my friends something nice too and there would definitely be some traveling in there. Grab a few people and just go see the world. That sounds so exciting. I would want to give away some to help people but...I'm not sure which disaster to give to anymore. I'll just try to split some for everyone I guess. And then save enough to have a nice house someday, throw all that in the bank. Nothing too exciting really ^^ I think I would probably pay someone off to draw a manga for me though.
