1. If I was at home I'd do the fun and financially irresponsible thing and get shhhmammered at a club. Buut, alas, I've lost my legality here in Vanland so that's out. I wasn't planning on doing anything but I was just notified on Facebook that I was invited to a "Love Actually" themed party. Bizarre. Yes, they do want us to dress up. We'll see about that one.
2. We just got dumped with snow on the weekend and there will probably be more coming tonight. First white Christmas in Van in over 30 years or something. I'm not happy because it sounds as if I might not be able to get home after all, for the holidays. update: flight cancelled at 6:26 AM. On the phone now with the airline. Reeeeeally upset. updatedupdate: soonest flight I could get was Christmas morning, 6:25 AM. Wish me luck...
3. The closest I've received to a love letter is a creepy email/PM or two from socially inept boys who I was friends with who could never be straight up with me. Yesss. Romance at it's finest. (I've said no every time, obvs.)
4.
What kind of puppies do you have?
cute ones =X Haha, one is a pure bred bichon frise who is actually quite chubs and was the "monster" of the litter. She has tons of personality and is so hilarious. She still goes to my room to look for me, the sweetie. My other puppy is a poodle-cockerspaniel cross and she loves everybody and is so nice. She underwent surgery a couple weeks ago and I'm sad I wasn't around to coddle her afterwards D:
5. I get to go home! I'm so ridiculously stoked to see the famjam again. It'll be exactly two months since I moved out to Vancouver when I head home again. I haven't been this excited for the holidays since I was little =) I'm coming home on Christmas Eve on an afternoon flight and then hanging around the house with my parents/whatever other family coming into the city. I get to have REAL FOOD and see my puppies. What else... Boxing day eve I'm planning to go out and have dinner then go out dancing with a lot of my friends. Probably the remainder of my time at home will be spent with my parents and my best friend Jon, because he's allowed to sleep at my house so we will be inseparable for 2 full days. I head back out on the 28th so I have to jam a lot of visiting and eating into this short trip, haha.
6. From what I see, they just tend to downplay everything good in their lives and revel in the bad. It's just really annoying =) Why would anyone want to spend so much time dwelling on the bad? That's not living. Other than that I'm pretty indifferent, though I think kids that just like the style AKA scene look a little ridiculous.
7. The only celebrity I'd ever need. Gong Yuu, of Coffee Prince fame. 'Wow'. Is pretty much all I can say in every shot of him.
8. To go home for Christmas! =D Which is going to happen because my Mom bought my plane ticket as a present. Stoked stoked stoked. I need more clothes because currently I can't afford to buy any on my own ;_; Wow I'm really not very fun this year.
9. Frequently. My life is a black abyss! Baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaawwwww.
10. Weirdos and your late Thanksgiving... Anyyyways. This year was crazy because I was moving out during Thanksgiving, so we didn't do much special. It was my Mom and I on the road, so there wasn't any big gathering at home like usual. Regular years though, it would be held at my Granny's and most of my Dad's side of the family would come down for the day. We ate a lot and always finished the meal off with pie. Pumpkin generally, but since I don't like pumpkin my Gran started making me my own coconut cream pie =P I dunno if I'll be going home for the next few Thanksgivings due to financial reasons, but hopefully I'll get that tradition back on track once I actually have money!
11. November 10th, 2008. 10:12 PM, PST. Username: Anomaly Former Username: CoLoR Me EviL (I am still ashamed of this choice and I imagine I will continue to be as such 2 years down the road) Age: 18 How long I've been here: 4 years I don't imagine I'll have stopped coming here in 2 years and I don't imagine I'll be much more active, either. My signature currently informs people that "I'm the goddamn batman" which is pretty important information, I'm sure. What can I tell myself for 2 years down the road... Oh, always remember that your yearbook quote is hilarious and remember what it's from. If you don't now, go look it up and share in some laughs. Currently, I just moved out to Vancouver about 2 and a half weeks ago, if that. I am employed and updating my biology 30 mark online so I can apply to get into UBC next year. Oh future self, please be in UBC. Please please please. Fingers crossed! I'm kind of unexciting right now, though living away from home is pretty sweet. My interests have shifted from Japanese to Korean, so I imagine that the me reading this 2 years after the fact is taking one or both of those languages. Nevar 4get, Gong Yuu is one of the most attractive males in the world. Coffee Prince is a sickeningly girly indulgence and maybe you should rewatch it. I'm doing a lot of creative writing and trolling of the intranetz. Hopefully I've gone somewhere with that (the creative writing, not the trolling.) So here's some srs goals for you, okay? - get into UBC. Oh, God help us if we don't. We're so effed if we don't. - pick a damn minor, already, good lord. - don't fail. - pick Korean and Japanese and keep them up! - look up as much info as you can about exchange programs - get back into soccer, either coaching kids or playing it. I miss it and it's only been a month or two! - upgrade to a bigger place at least once. - make a plan to go to Paris with Mom. - visit home as often as financially possible. - get some hobbies, you friendless loser. mad love! xoxox Alexa
12. I dunno why all the republicans think they'd like it any better over here =P Our conservatives are liberal by your standards xD
13. =D
14. Jagerbombs are a delicious punch to the heart. Safe seems a relative term though, it can go sour pretty quick, especially if you're using a liquor with a high alcohol content. I wouldn't, to put it plainly =X
15.
HAHAHAHAHA:laugh: Ok seriously, I can't help with drinks, because I'm not an alky sort of guy. I do have champagne on occasion (New Years), but I don't like the taste either. Beers smell nasty...why the hell would I want to drink one? I guess if you do a lot of fruity stuff with your drinks or something, it might help. My friend always drinks Bacardi's and Smirnoff's that are flavored...and she says it tastes like Kool-Aid.
Ohhhhhh Korey you're so mature =P haha but there really was no avoiding it. Stupid name. D: Oh, Vodka slimes are also good. And there are some excellent coolers out there, that is true. There is one dragonfruit and raspberry, I think, and it is so so delicious. Ciders are also really nice and they also come in a lot of fruit flavours.
16. It is indeed fun.. Let's see... there are some drinks that you can also have just as shots. Porn Stars are good and really tasty - they are just raspberry sourpuss and blue curacao, and if you want the drink, it's with sprite. It's like juice. I think I had 7 one night. Which in retrospect seems like a lot. Wow. Haha. Umm.. Candied Apples are also really good, can't remember what's in them... Van Gogh is one of the best shots I've ever had - it tastes like a cappuccino for goodness sakes! I definitely recommend it, though I had it at the bar so I have no idea how to make it. Sex on the Beach is really really good as well, but again it's something you'd have to look up how to make. Those are the most delicious, least alcohol-y tasting shots I can think of for the moment.
17. I think I had the best Halloween I've ever had. And I'm totally not just saying that. Seeing as I just moved here to Vancouver all of a week ago, I didn't have high hopes. I didn't even think I would do anything for Halloween, which was kind of sad but I had a lot going on. I ended up being invited to a Halloween party by a friend at her two gay friend's new apartment. I met up with her downtown at around 5:30 and we bussed it to her place in North Van and she filled me in on stuff I should know about the places that were nearby. When we got there, we watched Coffee Prince (yay!) for a bit then went to pick up another friend. After we were all together, we got ready. I was extremely unprepared so I was a hobo for halloween. My friend was Amy Winehouse (it was uncanny, I kid you not. Also, really really hot) and her other friend was Amy Winehouses' boyfriend. We took the bus, which had some scary drunk old man on it, and then took the seabus which was amazing. The seabus was a gongshow, because people just ended taking pictures of other people in costume. It was hilariousss and some people would stare at my friend without saying anything. Most people did say something though and they were like "Wow... you really look like her." Hahahah. The rest of the night included cosmopolitans, walking around downtown, going to English Bay, being followed by some weird drunk dressed up as Dexter, being ditched by a cab, ghost stories on the balcony and going back to one of the girls' houses to sleep (more like a nap, really). A very successful Halloween, I think.
18. Hahaha! Oh I picked a good day to come by, apparently. Thanks, DW ;D I don't know about any physical attractions, but I guess people with "do-able" personalities (oh how I laugh as I type this) in the least awkward way possible would be DW, Allamorph (you love it), SANGOME! I choose you, hahaha, from talking to you in chats! Korey, for the lulz... yeah I think it's creepy if my list is any longer, but this is a shout out to all my chatroom lovelies ;D Umm celebrities... Uhm Jung Hwa, she is damn hot for being somewhere in her thirties and wears sweet glasses that look like safety glasses, MC Mong, Tablo, Brad Pitt (as long as he looks like Tyler Durden), every member of ShineE (ahaaha I should feel bad), and my weird crush is Edward Norton.
19. Well kids, I'm the goddamn batman.
20. Well, I've come to terms with the fact that most things I love will not, realistically, pay the bills. But regardless, I've done my time in retail and menial tasks, so I think that in the end, it'll have to be something I love no matter the pay. After I get my degree I won't settle for any jobs that don't require it. I'm going for a degree in English Lit and I want to write, either as a journalist or something until I get myself in order to write novels. I just know I really want to write =) My other, even MORE unrealistic goal would be to play soccer as a profession.
21. I hear you about the parents thing. My Mom? For shiz, the woman is amazing and hysterical and I hope I am just like her one day. She's not only my mom but also one of my best friends. My Dad... well, he's probably the family villain. I love my Dad because he's my Dad, but I hate his personality. I hate him as a person? Yeah. Something along those lines. I love my friends. Absolutely 100% love them, some of them in a family way as well. Any one else? Not so much xD
22. I am slowly morphing my wardrobe into that remiscent of a Korean Hip Hop artist's. Weird? Totally. Awesome? Absolutely. My fashion icon is the beloved monkey-faced artist none other than MC Mong. On a sidenote, I tend to love shoes that are non-functional. I have flats that hurt after 20 minutes and gladiator sandals that make me bleed. I love them. I love them so much.
23. Well, to be quite frank, I just really like the word 8D
24. Love body mod. Well, most of it. Not so big on scarification or tongue splitting personally but whatever makes you happy :3 Piercings and tattoos in theory are totally ballin' in my opinion but some people make baaad choices and just do not pull off what they choose and that's always the risk, I guess! I don't like dimple piercings or anti-eyebrows so much, though on some people where they do work, it's neat. I enjoy monroes, nose, septum and bridge piercings and lip piercings are some of my favourites. I am definitely considering getting my vertical labret done - I think it's stellar 8D As for tattoos I was seriously trying to convince myself to get one piece of Audrey Kawasaki's tattooed on my back but I'm starting to think it's not such a good idea for a few reasons. It will for sure look funky when I'm older and that's kind of gross to picture and it's really expensive, to name a couple.
25.
I'm going to trust that those who understand physics far better than I do, actually know what they are talking about. That and I find it hard to believe that with our limited understanding or rather capacity to create these collisions. I just don't see them as actually being powerful enough to really do all that much.
That's exactly it - I trust the people doing the math behind the LHC that if there were risks as serious as destruction of everything we know, they wouldn't do it. I am also of the opinion that mankind does not know enough nor have the skills to create anything even near the level of things like this that naturally occur.
