haha here are some of my grad pics. Watermarked at their best xD I don't know which ones I want to order, so if you guys have any input, feel free =P I think I look like such an arrogant jerk in them, but my mom seems to think they're nice, so retakes are out! -
How to study: unplug your computer and remove it from your room. It works...
it's not even in my room.. haha. And when I go upstairs to study I get distracted by doodling in my sketchbooks or what have you.

Haha, there are some excellent ideas in here. I still think I'll opt for a very simple one. My friend thought it was very fitting. "BRB"
I literally can't afford to have senioritis, lol. I need whatever scholarships I can get to pay for college, so I really can't slack off. In fact, I'm doing better with my work this year than I ever have.
That describes my situation pretty accurately, yeah. I'm honestly teetering on the line between "who cares" and "so incredibly stressed I'll snap on the next person who looks at me the wrong way." My courses this year are as hard as ever, being that I'm taking partial IB (advanced, university level courses) for English and Social. With those, unfortunately, come World Lit (actually really enjoyable), Theory Of Knowledge (Basic Philosophy which is neat) and Western World History (ew ew ew ew ew). The only one I'm really bummed about is WWH, but all those little weird classes fill up my schedule and take away the spares I really could have used to study. It's really hard to study because a) I don't actually know how, and b) everything just seems so incredibly boring! I'm taking Biology 30 by correspondance, and I've not even finished one booklet.. I have one semester to finish and take the diploma. That's probably the only course I'm actually worried about, but if I don't study I know I won't do as well as I could and I'll be losing out on scholarships. My marks are great now, but there's always the danger... ....and damnit guys, I'm supposed to be studying for Social Studies AND Math right now! D:

Ahh, Edmonton, Alberta, Canada... Home to a really big mall. I forget if it's biggest in North America or just in Canada.. but it's pretty damn big, regardless, lol. It has 2 theatres, an amusement park, a full size pirate ship and some flamingoes, an aquarium, a seal show, a skating rink, driving range on the roof and a waterpark. Other than that.. uhh.. we have a nice river valley and art gallery?

I'm agreeing with most of the posts in here. People should be able to choose whatever occupation they desire, no matter how "questionable" a choice it is. Nobody should feel like it's their business to regulate what goes on in people's bedrooms. Though I do think regular health check ups should be encouraged, though. I know it's not easy in every area, but it would be better for everyone involved on either side in the long run. Anybody who is forced into it? Wrong. It's wrong, absolutely.

Haha, I feel bad, but I'm trying to find a party or a huge group of people to join onto so I can avoid spending New Years by myself with a particular friend who, unfortunately for him, has a crush on me. I like spending time with him and everything, but if we were alone I'm pretty sure he'd try to go in for the midnight kiss. GOD FORBID. So hopefully we will find a party and I can avoid any and all awkward scenarios.

"Sir, I'm sorry to be such a burden, but could I talk to Mr. Williams alone, please?" The man shrugged and looked at Wash, making sure he agreed. Wash nodded and Jonah walked out of the backroom, the door clicking shut. Acacia smiled as warmly as she could, trying to put him at ease. She sat down. "Mr. Williams, my name is Acacia Perras. And I believe you could be in quite a bit of trouble." Wash stared into his coffee cup. He had known something was going on... his fears were being confirmed, now. "What kind of trouble, exactly?" He asked, trying not to let his nerves get the better of him. He was still royally spooked from the incident earlier. "Big trouble. Life threatening trouble." Acacia's voice softened. "I know about your abilities, Mr. Williams. . . And there is someone out there right now who is preying on people like you and I. None of us are safe unless we stick together. I can't tell you all that much more until we're somewhere more secure. . . but believe me, the threat is very real." Wash gaped at her. She knew? How could she know? He'd always been so careful. . . "If I'm reading you correctly, you're wondering how I know about your special ability, right?" He nodded. "I'm part of a corporation. A large and fairly old corporation. It's my job to know. We have a database of other people like you, particularly for such emergencies as this. And no, I'm not telepathic. Your look just gave you away." she laughed. Wash smiled slightly, and drained his coffee cup. He spoke again, after a moment. "So... there are others?" "Yes. Quite a few, actually. Many of them regular people like yourself. Nobody suspects otherwise." She let it sink in, before continuing. It was always a little tough to swallow, going from thinking you were the only one, to one of many with unique talents. "I am here to help. We want to protect you, if you'll allow us. We're housing people in one of our buildings, until we can figure out our next move. We can move you immediately. My partner is waiting outside, in his car. We can go now, if you wish. What do you say...?"

“Goddamnit.” Acacia clicked her phone shut again, clearly annoyed. “Still no answer? That’s really not like Adam…” her partner, Jake, replied. “I know… that’s why I’m getting worried.” She exhaled slowly and brushed her hair out of her face. “I’m not exactly free of concern myself… let’s get this done as fast as possible and get back to headquarters.” Acacia nodded and Jake floored the gas pedal. The car flew down the street, dodging in and out of other vehicles. “Something else is bugging you. I recognize that. What’s wrong?” Jake pressed her, they may not have been close but he knew her well enough to know when something was up. “I’m just worried… about the whole thing, in general. I think we made a rash decision.” Acacia responded, sighing. “About which part, exactly?” “We’re trying to get everyone with powers, right?” “Yes. . .” “And the person who’s been killing people would have to have powers too, right?” “Uh huh.” “So what if they’re posing as someone normal? What if we end up bringing them in and they kill us all? In the place we thought was the safest?” “Fuck. Acacia. You can’t just go thinking shit like that. We’re doing what we think is the best course of action.” Jake narrowed his eyes behind his sunglasses. He hated feeling concerned, it undermined the way he reacted with his instincts. “Jake, I’m just trying to be logical. I know that this is a scary situation, for all of us… But we should look out for ourselves, first.” “Fuck your logic. What would you propose we do instead?” “I… I don’t know.” She replied. “Exactly. We’ll deal with this shit when we get back, alright? For now, just keep your mind on the objective directly ahead. Which is what?” He prompted her, trying to change the topic. “Hmm… “ Acacia tapped away on her PDA, looking for the email she had received a few minutes ago. “Ah, here. Washington Williams. Goes by Wash. He has Animal Empathy. He works for a bakery, delivering things.” Acacia listed a few more details off and then told Jake the address. “We’re almost there.” Jake said, after a few minutes. “You should probably handle this,” he added “people and I just don’t seem to get along, as I’m sure you’ve noticed.” Acacia smiled a little bit. “Now that you mention it, I did notice.” She laughed. “Smartass.” He muttered gruffly, though he too smiled a little. They pulled up in front of a tidy looking little building with a giant front window where all the baked goods were on display. “I’ll wait out here for you. If you need any back up, call.” Acacia nodded as she stepped out of the car. “Don’t worry. I’m a people person.” She grinned and shut the door behind her. The street was eerily empty. Aside from a few parked cars, there was nothing but the road and other buildings. No people, not even a bird. The only sound that could be heard was the click of Acacia’s heels as she walked up the short sidewalk. Acacia fixed her hair in the reflection of the window of the door one more time before pulling it open and walking in. She adopted her business stance, and clutched her PDA in her hand tightly, other hand on her bag. She approached the counter, where a man was standing, facing the other way putting a few things into the window display. Acacia cleared her throat. “Excuse me sir, I’m looking for a Mr. Washington Williams…?”

I did get around to watching it a few months ago, and it totally blew my mind. It's a totally ridiculous movie (not in the stupid way) whether you agree or not, because you're right, it's terrifying. I was so shocked and wondered how some of the things they presented hadn't been picked up by other people and made public. Some of it certainly seems legitimate, all the parts had a lot of valid points and some really convincing proof. I'm really sitting on the fence about it, so I wouldn't go out advertising that everything is a conspiracy xD but it really does make you think about what you really know.

8:55 A.M. precisely, and the car pulled up. Acacia climbed into the dark automobile with the tinted windows, driven by her partner Jake Ender. “Good morning.” She said, as she shut the door and pulled her seatbelt on. Jake only grunted at her greeting. “So what have we got on the agenda today?” she asked, as they began driving. “Guy with an eidetic memory. We’ve been watching him for weeks, and he’s got his routine planned out to a tee. So now we do too. We’re going to try and catch up to him on the subway.” Jake pulled a folded piece of paper out of his pocket and handed it to her. It was the picture of their target. Acacia took it and studied it closely. “Any special instructions?” “Just the usual. Be careful, don’t draw any attention to yourself, and don’t involve any civilians.” Acacia nodded, satisfied with his answer. She smoothed her skirt out, and picked the lint off of her black cardigan. She never knew what to say to her partner. He made her nervous. Jake wasn't the type to make small talk, nor was he someone you could easily ask about what he did over the weekend, or anything of the sort. It wasn’t that he was ever mean to her, or had ever led her to believe that he would be, he was just very intimidating. He stood tall at 6’3”, towering over her slight 5’6” frame which made her feel diminished. Not to mention that not only was he so much taller than her, he was covered in tattoos and had several piercings, while the only modification Acacia had ever had was a different hair colour. They were also opposite in the way they handled things; Acacia was professional and stuck to protocol, whereas Jake had made a name for himself as a less than ideal operative for the Corporation. She certainly didn’t dislike him; he just made her very uneasy. “Turn right up here-“Acacia began, before remembering how much Jake hated when she gave him directions. “Sorry.” She finished. Jake smirked a little bit. “I do know where we’re going, just to clarify.” “I know . . . sorry. It’s a force of habit.” She craned her neck as she watched him drive right past the turn she had indicated. “Are you sure . . .?” Jake laughed gruffly. “I just don’t like going that way. Is there a problem?” “Well . . . By going that route, we maximize our time and efficiency.” She replied. “We’ve got plenty of time before he’s due to take the subway. This route is far more scenic, anyway. It’s not always about efficiency.” Acacia tapped her manicured nails on her expensive black and white handbag. “I suppose.” She managed, meekly. “Ah, here’s our turn.” Jake swerved right quickly on to an old and far less busy street, narrowly dodging a couple of oncoming cars. “Christ.” Acacia breathed, wide eyed. She had put one hand on the door and one on the dashboard in order to brace herself as he turned. Jake laughed again as she ran her fingers through her hair to straighten it. She hated when Jake did that, and he knew it. “I can’t believe you’re still not used to my driving.” He chortled. Acacia shot him an indignant look. “There are some things that you never get used to.” She replied matter-of-factly, rolling her eyes. Jake simply laughed again. “Here we are.” He called out after a few minutes of silence, as he jammed on the breaks next to a parking spot. He parallel parked with great ease and disregard for the annoyance of his fellow drivers. The two got out, and Acacia popped a few coins into the parking meter. “Let’s go.” Said Jake, and the two took off down the stairs leading them to the main subway platform.

HELLO PUPPY CHILDREN Probably the only character that ever annoyed the Warner kids more than the Warner kids annoyed everybody else: Jerry Lewis! I watched far too much Animaniacs as a child. Or is there really a thing as too much Animaniacs? xD -

Name: Acacia Perras Age: 23 Gender: Female Occupation: Genesis Operative Physical Description: Acacia is average height for a woman, standing at about 5'6", but looks taller because she is built very thin and slight of frame, much like an athlete. She is not very strong, but she makes up for it in speed. Acacia is olive toned, with large sparkling green eyes and dark brown nearly black hair, that sits around her collarbone and straight across bangs. She has high cheekbones and classic features. Very meticulous about how she looks, she is always very polished and refined, never leaving the house without atleast a little bit of mascara on. Near sighted, she always needs her glasses or contacts. Her regular attire is anything trendy and a step above casual. Jeans are always matched with a slightly dressy top, and she has tons of skirts and cocktail dresses on hand, as well as high heels and flats for every occasion. Personality: Friendly, but formal and professional. She is honest, and can be very blunt without meaning to be. She tends very brutal when dealing with some work situations, as she hates looking bad or doing a poor job. She finds it difficult to make friends, so the friends she does have are very important to her and she is extremely loyal. Acacia is an intellectual, and she loves to read and retain knowledge and takes things very literally. She is an introvert, and does not open up easily. Power: Acacia has the power to manipulate light. She can cause light to amplify, or she can take it away from a room. In the case of being outdoors, Acacia's power creates small black holes where the enemies eyes were, so no light can reflect. In either brightening or eliminating light, her power causes temporary blindness, or can be used as cover for escape. It is also possible for her to bend the light around herself as well as others, rendering her a sort of "invisible". She has fine tuned her power to the point where she can multitask and still focus it very effectively, though in order for it to work she has to keep atleast a small part of her brain concentrating on the target. Hope that's aight ;D

Typing is such a trying task whilst high, seeing as how i am currently high as a kite. I hope that this fact does not cause me to lose any credibility, as I honestly do not remember what i just typed. Oh, well.

I lol-ed I totally got my point across wrong. I kind of meant like... Ah hell, I'm having some trouble putting this into words. I think it's sort of like once you feel that happiness, everything will just be mediocre. I'm trying to expand on what I said, though what you said is true and it IS impossible to actually have that extreme happy feeling, every other regular happy feeling is just not as sweet compared to that one and life just sounds like it gets a helluva lot more boring. You've got it bang on, it is the most happiness you'd ever feel in your life all at once, but I guess that's why I think it's a big risk. That would make it not physically addicting, but mentally.
No offense taken, but I know about as much about ecstasy as I do dextromethorphan hydrobromide. Ecstasy is one of the most overly-demonized drugs out there. The vast majority of negative effects you hear about it are simply not true. Surprisingly, ecstasy is one of the safest drugs one could take (although again, I strongly encourage all NOT to do drugs). Ecstasy (methylenedioxymethamphetamine, or MDMA for short), in its pure form, is safer than cigarettes, alcohol, caffeine, and marijuana. It is not physically addictive, although there have been reported case of psychological addiction. One is in complete control over their actions the entire time they are high. There has never been a reported case of MDMA-related death, only deaths due to other factors. Pure MDMA by itself will not kill you. The only way you can die from ecstasy is if you are stupid (mix it with other drugs, over-exert yourself -- causing hyperthermia, lose too many fluids -- dehydration, or more commonly, take in too many fluids over a short period of time, essentially drowning your cells -- hyponatremia). Also, extensive use of MDMA can damage serotonin receptors in the brain, however these do repair over time. Once again, if you are taking an MAOI, STAY THE HELL AWAY. YOU MORE THAN LIKELY WILL DIE. If you have any health problems or disorders whatsoever, you should not even be considering doing recreational drugs in the first place. Most sources that list the negative effects of MDMA list them just as that; negative effects of MDMA. Let me explain... a source might say that ecstasy causes heatstroke, dehydration, and heart/kidney failure. The truth is, ecstasy does not, by itself, cause any of these. These horrible effects are caused by the actions I listed above: over-exertion, a lack of or surge in water intake, mixing with other drugs, etc. If you were to take pure ecstasy, by itself, and just sit on a couch for the duration of the drug, none of these things would happen. None of them. It's not the drug harming people, it's the people harming themselves. Sure the drug might be a factor, but still, people being stupid trumps all. There are a few hypothetical long-term effects of regular MDMA usage, but no conclusive data has ever been gathered. The effects of ecstasy are quite similar to low doses of DXM (which is why I want to try it)... Heightened senses, music euphoria, a sense of peace (Entactogenesis) a strong sense of empathy and connecting with others (Empathogenesis), a boost in energy, ... all the good stuff (I already listed the bad stuff). There is no such thing as a "safe drug," but there is such a thing as "safe drug use." If you are going to use drugs (which I advise against), please do so with extreme caution and with a knowledge of what you are getting into.
Well you've certainly done your homework. I definitely respect the fact that you're well read into what you do before you do it, make no mistake. But I do think that one part of your information is wrong. I'm not sure of your sources, but this past summer I took Science 30, and my teacher went a little indepth on the effects of E on your nervous system. You said "extensive use of MDMA can damage serotonin receptors in the brain, however these do repair over time." which isn't reeeeally true. From what I was told, depending on how extensive the damage is, it can be irreversible. Basically, E causes the 'pleasure pathway' to fire more rapidly than it would normally, which causes the loving everyone bit of the trip. E will exhaust these neurons, but if you rest them they'll be fine again. The risk is that apparently you can run down these neurons so they won't function normally, which pretty much means that you'll never be as happy again as you were on the drug, and you may have to become dependant on it not as an addiction, but in order to be normal. It could happen the first time, it could happen the fifty-first time, but I think it's a fairly big risk. My friend who did E says that realistically, you never would be as happy as you were on the drug because it's impossible, but it seems like a really big risk to me. Is it worth it to potentially never be truly happy again?
-
I will be trying ecstasy for the first time in the near future.
How much do you know about ecstasy and it's potential consequences? I'm not being a smartass either, I'm actually curious.

I consider myself as a human being a part of this world and as such I should have the right to choose if I die by my own hand and when. If I made the decision to die then who is to say that that is not when I was supposed to die? I don't believe in a higher power and I'm not trying to criticize one in any way but I do believe that my life is lived by none other then myself therefor I should be the one to have the most control over it.
I am in total agreement. Particularly because I too don't have a religion or believe in a higher power. I would most definitely rather be killed quickly rather than be in so much agony. Did I lose those 5 extra minutes of my life? Yeah, I did. But they weren't particularly enjoyable so I can't say I'd be too upset to lose them. Pain is a part of life, yes. But if you're in so much pain that you're asking for death, why shouldn't you be granted that? It's mercy. Killing someone who is dying is redundant, sure. But if you switched positions would you really rather see someone who means the world to you suffering immensely, rather than aiding them to achieve peace?
The point is, we are all going to die, so it's best to just ride it out and live each day to the fullest, even if each day is agonizingly painful.
