1. In my bag (really, it's far too big to be called a purse), I always have pencil/pens wallet [bank card and bus pass!] cell phone iPod house keys one or two books homework or study materials a couple of bags of elastics for my braces dental floss or other assorted dental devices to keep my teeth clean a bottle of vodka ;D I kid! That was only one time! Really!

Anomaly happened to wander by the sad little pile of penguin, when she saw the box appear over his head. "LOL NUB!!11" she shouted, and pointed at him. Another textbox appeared over it's head, simply saying ". . ." "Sorry." she answered, grinning sheepishly. "Force of habit. I'll have you up in a jiffy, little guy." within a few minutes, the penguin was back on his feet. He had a few footprints over his body, but he was no worse for wear. "So what exactly is a penguin doing on the internet?" Anomaly asked, as they stood there, the penguin continually checking himself over for any injuries, just to be safe. "I have urgent news..."
3. "I've had quite enough of this." Ellemere stated, as her little group continued to battle the Voracious Eater. She had been staving off the barrage of limbs and various other extending tentacle-like things the creature had been sending their way. She felt her shields beginning to shake. Unless she unleashed more of her Yoki, these barriers would soon give way and leave them defenseless. She knew that the Voracious Eater could sense this, because as soon as it crossed her thoughts, the attacks were coming faster, stronger. Llyra also seemed to know what she was thinking, because she felt the Yoki of her fellow mage begin to grow. Crim grunted. "Do what you gotta do." "Yes." Ellemere replied. "We are going to finish this quickly. I am going to switch from my defensive shields to my offensive attack. When I have the Voracious Eater unable to move, you know what to do." The filthy creature that was the Youma laughed at her. "Fairly confident, aren't you? Little *****." He spat, and licked his lips. "It is you that I will enjoy devouring the most." he grinned, and Ellemere felt contempt rise in her throat, though she didn't bother to reply. The group felt her anger flare up for a second before she quelled it, her face had no trace of the fury she'd felt. Ellemere was back in her silent place now. She tugged again on the string of her Yoki with urgence, willing it to come undone faster. It obliged in mere seconds, and she was back in reality, facing off with the Voracious Eater. It was well timed too, because her shields were on their last legs. The youma roared at her, but it didn't matter anymore. It would all be over soon... A bright light engulfed her body, and a wave of yoki was unleashed. The shield she had been holding around the three of them quickly turned it's direction as if flipping outward. The Voracious Eater let out an angry scream as it suddenly felt the pressure of an invisible force bearing down on it. It tried to peddle backwards, but realized in frustration that there was now an invisible wall there, too. It was trapped, and it was even more furious. It unleashed many tentacles, far too many to count, but they all met the barrier. Ellemere knew that she couldn't keep this up unless she was to reach her limit. She grimaced as the creature threw it's body against the force. Both Llyra and Crim spread out so they were on opposite sides of the Voracious Eater. All of it's attention was focused on Ellie now, as well as it's strength. "Hold... Hold..." They heard her shout, over the din the creature was making. They understood, and stood in ready positions. The youma thought she was talking about her barrier, and laughed a grotesque laugh. "It will run out sooner or later, little girl... and when it does..." a smile (or what looked to be one, atleast) broke out over it's hideous face. She too smiled at the creature, all tension gone from her face, she put her hands down. "Now." Before the Voracious Eater could even leap at her, Llyra had cast her spell and Crim had brought his heavy axe down on it's neck. "Gotcha." she said, the smile still on her face as she watched the head fall down to the ground with satisfaction, blood squirting everywhere. It was even more satisfying to hear the crash the large body hit the ground with. As soon as the youma had fallen, the group took off running to help their teammates with the second.
4. A couple things... Vietnamese iced coffee. Absolutely terrible for you, but absolutely fantastic tasting. Why yes, I do like half a can of sweetened condensed milk in my coffee. I thought everyone did. Black olives - salty goodness. Light ranch dressing. I put it on everything. I think I may have a problem.
5. It's an addiction.. Once I signed up for one RP, I really wanted to sign up for more. I hope it doesn't take away from my homework time for summer school ;D Who am I kidding? Of course I do. Name: Yuki Nakamura Age: 19 Appearance: Tall for a Japanese girl, about 5'8, very thin but athletic build. She is very trendy, and has dyed her black hair to the popular rusty orange-ish colour. Sideswept bangs, her hair reaches to about her collarbone. She constantly changes it, sometimes putting many bobby pins or other colourful clips in her hair, other days she does nothing at all. She wears whatever is current, but her favourite outfit is her skinny jeans with a white tanktop covered in stars over several other tanktops of various colours and a pair of flats. Place of Origin: Tokyo, Japan. Personality: Yuki is a sarcastic joker and very social. Lives to make awkward moments easier, with a joke or a little interjection. She might seem like a prankster, but she knows when her friends need her and when it's time to be serious. She's very easy-going, and takes whatever life throws at her with an open mind and a smile. Or, at the very least, a some sort of sarcastic statement. She prefers to lead, not to follow(despite the fact that she's so trendy), as well as talk without thinking it out. Adjutant: The Sniper Appearance: Resembles an elf, with his pale skin, and blonde-silver hair. Very tall, this Adjutant has pointed ears, and sharp - though not unpleasant to look at - facial features. Adjutant's Skills: Shot Storm - for a very short period of time, many arrows barrage an enemy. Not the most accurate, but works well over a large area of land or a larger enemy. Meteor Melee - Strong arrow, with larger berth and much heavier, this particular attack can pierce through most barriers and tear through foes, but requires charging and cannot be used one after another. Retraction - Arrow extends to pierce enemy, rather than actually being shot, and then instantly retracts back, ready to be used again. Powerful attack, but greatly weakens the actual shaft of the arrow during it's extended state. [still working on these] Bio: Yuki looked up from the electronic glow of her cellphone. One second she was walking in downtown Tokyo, talking on her cell to her best friend about their plans for later that night when she saw a strange glow across the sky and the next, she was in some musty, dingy hallway, with no idea how she got there and no sense of direction or inkling as to how to get out. She shrugged, which is how she usually handled things she couldn't explain, and began walking. No point in standing still, she figured. Better chances of finding her way out, than someone finding their way to her. As she walked, she nonchalantly ran her hand down the grimy walls. It made her feel safer, and more connected to this world, to just know she was there. It had to be real; it wasn't a dream, it was far too strange, and she even had the dirt on her fingers from the wall to prove it. She felt strange carvings in the walls, and found herself wondering if the floor and ceiling too were covered with these strange marks. They didn't seem to be uniform, but nor did they seem to be just for decoration. The faint light began to grow stronger and the hallway began to widen. She soon came out to an area with a higher ceiling, and at the end of this mini corridor, stood a great door. Yuki stood in this new area for a moment, contemplating whether or not she should go in. Her doubt quickly caved to her curiousity, and without any more hesitation Yuki headed forward. Like an automatic door, it swung open as she neared. She entered, and just as quickly as the door opened, it shut, and she was engulfed in blackness. Yuki felt eyes on her, but she refused to think she'd made a mistake. She stood confidently and shouted into the dark "Hello! I know you're here! Who are you? Where am I, exactly?" A light beamed down into the middle of the room, illuminating a book on a podium. The rest of the room remained in shadows, and she received no reply. Yuki didn't budge. "I said hello! I can feel your eyes on me! Just tell me who you are so we can get this awkward stand off done with!" "The book." came a gruff reply. "..Pardon?" Yuki responded, genuinely confused. She didn't recognize this voice at all. The owner of the voice let out a loud sigh, clearly full of exasperation. "The book. Take it. You need to take it. Who I am is of no importance, but that book.. it is of the utmost importance. It is imperative that you take it. You have been chosen." Yuki walked slowly over to the book, and leaned down to it, resting her hand on the cover. It felt strange.. it was like she could feel power behind that cover, just waiting to come out. It also felt oddly familiar. Like it was a book she had read long ago, and simply forgotten about until now. "Hmmm..." she ran her hand across the cover a few times, frustrated by that feeling of vague remembrance. "This" said the man, emerging into the small circle of light, taking her by surprise "will make things perfectly clear." he startled Yuki, and she fell backward onto the dusty floor. "I apologize, Miss Nakamura." the hooded figure moved around the podium, and offered his hand. "No, no.. It's alright." she waved his hand away, and quickly pushed herself back up to standing position. "This is all just so strange.. like a drea-" Yuki broke off in midsentence, and stared down at the book. "... Miss Nakahara?" the hooded figure's tone of voice carried a tone of gentle urging. He seemed to know what she was thinking. "My dreams! That's where I know this book from!" Yuki exclaimed, putting a hand to her head. The hooded figure clapped it's hands together in obvious approval of her discovery. "Yes, Yuki Nakahara. This is the book from your dreams. The book that you did not recognize then, nor did you understand it's significance. Today is the day that this all makes itself known to you. You must simply read the first page." she nodded at his words, and opened the book, now running her fingers down this page covered in strange symbols. She looked up at the man for a moment, scanning what she could see of his face for any hint of approval. He simply looked on, silently. She shook her head a little bit, and looked back down to the page. Like the book, she seemed to recognize this incantation. Her mouth read out the strange words that her brain did not know. As she read these words, the book began to glow. It was faint at first, but quickly became blinding. She read the last word and squinted, now unable to look directly at the book. Suddenly without warning, a bright bolt of light resembling lightning shot out of the book, ricocheted off the ceiling, and landed a few feet in front of her. The hooded man stepped back to make room. The light stayed in a sort of 'pile' on the ground for a few seconds, and then just as quickly as it had appeared, it disappeared. In its place stood a tall man, who had the same ethereal look as the glow had once she had finished reading. Yuki and the new man eyed eachother, neither of them speaking. The cloaked man broke the silence. "This is your adjutant." he said, matter-of-factly. "You may now join the seven others chosen to fight in this war." "Master." the glowing man inclined his head slightly at her. "I'm sorry... You are..?" "Ah, of course. I am Aeryndyl The Sniper, and I am your Adjutant. I think we are the perfect team, you and I." Aeryndyl nodded before going on "We have complimenting personalities. Yes... this will work out just perfectly." "I'm Yuki Nakahara." she said, trying to regain her lost composure, though her voice still lacked it's initial confidence. This was too strange. "I already knew that, of course." her Adjutant said. "Just being polite..." Yuki rolled her eyes. "So, what? Do we shake hands? What comes next?" Aeryndyl smiled a little at her words. "My my. You're a little anxious, aren't you? This is just the first step in a long journey to come. The next part of your story will be revealed in good time, do not fret." He stepped over to her in a few long strides, and was towering over her before she realized it. She didn't make eye contact with him, it was too disconcerting. She wasn't used to people being taller than her. Particularly so much taller! She looked everywhere, furiously trying to fight the rising blush in her cheeks. He placed a finger gingerly under her chin and raised it up so she would look him in the eye. "Whatever you do, do not be afraid." Aeryndyll told her in a whisper, and gently kissed her on the forehead. In the next second, she was back on the streets of downtown Tokyo. "What.. was that?" she thought to herself. "Certainly not a dream..." she checked her fingers for the grime, and sure enough, there it was. There was also a new weight in her oversized purse which was somehow back on her shoulder. She slung it off and opened it. There -nestled among her notebooks and various gum packages and wallet - was the book.
6. Here you go, KW, a face screenshot of a youma! Not only can many of them stretch out limbs and such to impale, they can also have multiple tentacle like things come out of their body too, so there's more than one thing coming to impale you at once.
7. Ellemere's grip tightened around her staff, ever so slightly. It was the only indication at all that she was preparing for battle, as her face remained calm as ever. As the group spread out in a staggered line in front of the bushes from which the rustling was coming from, Ellemere shut herself off from the outside world. Her body would react if the beast came out of the woods before she was prepared, but her mind was preoccupied. She looked inwardly now, and her eyes looked vacant to anyone who would have seen her in that moment. Ellemere felt nothing, saw nothing and heard nothing. She was in her own silent world. This was how she always accessed her Yoki. Suddenly; she saw it. To her, it always appeared as a nearly transparent tightly wound ball of yarn. Ellie found the end of this "yarn" and tugged gently, willing it to come undone. It unwound slowly and without hesitation, as it usually did. She never needed to release very much, so although it seemed to take a long time to her, in reality, it took no more than seconds. Ellie felt this newfound energy rise within her, and snapped back to reality. The Youma had not descended upon them yet, and she was relieved. Although she trusted her body in times when her mind could not be there, it was certainly not the most wise decision to do this when up against a Voracious Eater, and especially more than one. Seconds was all that it took for these monsters to rip a Hunter apart, if they didn't train all their attention to the task of fighting. Crim made eye contact with her. "Ready?" he asked, though he knew the answer. They all did. Each hunter felt the surge in Ellemere's power. She nodded. "Everyone else?" More nods of assent from the group. "Spread out further. We'll branch off into groups and separate the Voracious Eaters from the weaker youma when they arrive. You know who you are assigned to be with. Take out the weak ones as swiftly and efficiently as possible. We need to train all of our attention on the Voracious Eaters."
8. Haha, I feel honoured that I was mentioned at all in this thread =X My list is pretty lengthy, but here goes... First and foremost, White! Seems only normal that I'd want to meet the one I so unlawfully wedded over the internets all those months ago. He's sweet, he's hilarious, and a total cutie too. We have tons of things in common and I don't think we'd ever run out of things to talk about =3 Molly is next because although I don't know her through OB, but rather myO, I've known her for awhile now, and she has never failed to make me giggle. She's blatant, she's to the point, she's crude, and I love her even more for it. Dragon Warrior/Gavin - Helluva guy, and he actually introduced me to White. He's always really easy going and I can tell him anything. I really admire his sense of humour and his writing, and I'd like to give him a huge bear hug one day. Mimmi - All hail the Swedes for producing such a wonderful girl. Darren - One of the original Mercenaries, it was sad to see you go. The movie challenge was my favourite, and I'm happy I got to work on it with you! We were a great team, no doubt about it. I also admire your writing skills, and I think you'd just be really fun to meet. Aaryanna - another teammate! We were together since the very beginning of the game, and you had a cheery disposition throughout, from when we were down to three, to our big comeback and our eventual switch to The Sunflowers. You're both a great writer and a talented graphics designer and apparently you're also very good at making dioramas xD! Rachmaninoff - gentleman and wonderful teammate, need I say more? Aaryanna_Mom - the esteemed leader. You really are the OB mother and you know just how to keep all of us unruly kids in line ;D SunFallE - I didn't get that much of a chance to know you during Survivor, but we chatted a little bit through PMs and I enjoyed it thoroughly. You are quite fantastic. Keyblade Wielder - *blush* haha, I'm just so shocked she mentioned me xD I've never chatted to her directly, and only had a brief encounter with her through our mod duel. A very unorthodox method, but she pwned me with it, and rightly so. She always seems sweet and kindhearted. Sara - I've never talked to her, but she just really never fails to impress me. This is probably scary and stalkerish sounding =P but I really admire her posts, and she's very intelligent, and very funny. I'm sure there are more, lol. I will likely post again later.
9. Damnit, you guys! lol, I kid! I kind of had a feeling that I was next.. I can't explain it, but I just knew that I'd be the next one gone. *laughs* I had so much fun with you guys, honestly. I'm so happy I got to play and get to know each and every one of you. I wish that I could continue with that trend, but alas, we lost, and I'm gone. And hey. Somebody had to go =P It's a game, after all. You guys are just plain amazing, and I know that you'll do just fine without me. Make me proud, awright? Sunflower power! ;D Much love to my homies under the sun. -Alexa
10. Ellemere of The Ethereal Hand Ellemere has the ability to change the air around her into a solid force, to act as a shield, an opposing force against an enemy, and even as a weapon of entrapment. She can create a sort of bubble around a foe or several smaller foes, which can serve as containment until the final blow is ready to be struck by her teammates. Her symbol looks like a scythe, with a diagonal line slashing across the bottom, and a dot in the middle of the hook.
11. As far as tea goes, if I'm out, a London Fog (earl grey and steamed milk, with a shot of vanilla for me), but Orange Pekoe or Green tea hit the spot just right when I'm at home and in need of a warm drink. I love making my own coffee, and I'm a sugar addict, which is gross to most others, but quite delightful to me. I like the flavour of coffee, but I really don't like it black. I recall one instance where I asked the man at Tim Hortons for 4 teaspoons of sugar, and two of cream. He looked at me like I was an alien. So I definitely prefer making it myself or going to places where the cream and sugar is out and you decide how much you get on your own >_>
12. [Sorry it took so long, Sandy.] Welcome to OtakuBoards, amineluver1234! Please keep in mind that we do have a Rules and FAQ page that all members should review before posting. Just follow the links I have provided. Standards for post quality are pretty high, here at OtakuBoards; particularly when it comes to quality of the real important stuff; such as grammar, or being carefully thought out so that it is easy to follow. This is especially pertinent with opening posts for new threads, because this is what will start off the discussion. Posting a new thread purely to introduce yourself or look for friends is considered spam. We instead advise that you introduce yourself while joining in on a discussion, and we can get to know you through your posting. If you have any questions, feel free to PM myself, or another member of staff here at OB. Have fun =) As for you, Oldie, please remember not to play mod. This isn?t a big issue, but it does happen. Please, if you come across a thread or member that requires the intervention of a moderator, and no moderator is available at present, do not take the issue into your own hands. In the event where this does happen, please remember that there is a ?Report bad post? button at the top right hand corner, or you can PM a moderator and alert them so they can deal with the problem as soon as they are available to do so. Remember: you were new once, yourself ;D Thank you for looking out for us, though. The three of you are also welcome to PM myself or any other mods if you have any questions. Thanks all! Thread Locked. -Anomaly
13. Saaandy. Please do not be cross with me! I will have a reply up by tonight, because I'm basically done, but I do have one quick question before I post. These are all posts from one thread, right? So it's one reply as opposed to several separate ones going towards each individual?
14. lol! Apparently Tiana and I were employing the same tactic; wait until the other team posts before you put your own up xD I'll put mine up tonight, I think. I wanna keep this game moving. edit: ... I'm sorry, you guys. I really am. This sucks, a lot. This is going to be beyond difficult. Just know that I love you all lots =(
15. Yayyy, Claymore! =3 Here's mine! Name: Ellemere, goes by Ellie. Gender: Female Appearance: Mid twenties, slight and wirey frame. About 5'7, with long black hair down to her mid-back. Blunted, straight across bangs. Very pale skin. Generally has a blank, serious expression on her face. Society: Mage Knight Armor: White robes with black edging and stitching, wears black tights underneath. Obi-like sash. Light chain mail underneath robes. Weapon: Large staff, nearly as tall as she is. Made up of two intertwining branches of different colours, the top holds a clear stone. Abilities: Telekinetic sort of abilities; Ellemere can create a shield out of air for a limited amount of time, as well as create a bubble around something, and compress it, potentially crushing her foe. Doesn't work on the strongest of enemies, but it's a sort of paralysis that can be used while her teammates get ready to deal the final blow. She is also very adept at learning new magical skills, and knows limited spells dealing with all elements.
16. ...OH SHI- lololol When I read the challenge, my heart just dropped out of my chest. This is a weird challenge, and for some reason, it's scaring me @_@ I'll have to work out some sort of reply after my math exam and soccer game today. T___T Attn: Rach. You're still really awesome.
17. We're not spamming, we're team spirit-ing! ;D
18. Attn: Rach. You're awesome. That is all.
19. old. and I love it. Ahaha, still way too crunk fo' lyfe. My hair hasn't been blonde for months, it's a nice dark brown now. But that's still more or less what I look like ;D I'll update when I'm motivated enough to change my camera batteries!
20. I've tried all the basic haircolours. Red, blonde, brunette, and an ALMOST black (I couldn't bring myself to do the real thing, I'm too pale and I look ghostly as it is) and in the end, I prefer myself in dark dark browns or blondes. Though between the two I really am not sure which looks better on me. I dye my hair lots anyway, so the two colours get equal wear =P On guys, I tend to be attracted to those with really dark hair. Of course I've seen some super hot blonde boys, but the ones I have serious crushes on usually end up being those of the dark haired variety. It's not really a preference, or I guess it is, it's just subconcious, haha.
21. *laughs* I admit that rap isn't for everyone. I found one artist I liked, then looked for similar, and now I like several different rap artists. I wouldn't say it's my favourite genre, but I do really like it. I believe that everyone can find an artist they like, no matter the genre. I hated rap at one point. Wouldn't even try and find anything in it until last year, and I didn't even really get into it until this year. I'm confident in you Rach, so don't stress! We're doing well, and even if we don't win, we've another round to take it back ;D Relax! Tis what rap is all about ;3
22. Sleeping with socks on, rap music (moar!), fantasy novels and cosplay. And my latest and biggest guilty pleasure: listening to Justin Timberlake. I love that man, and I admit that I have a problem. I'm diverse ;D
23. *hugs Aaryanna* I'm glad to see you guys too,and great work on the diorama, you! I know it was a tough decision for Sandy, but it favoured us so I am glad =D Man, I love rap! That's so not fair xD Rach, I can totally hook you up with rap that doesn't suck. Fo rls. I used to HATE it, but I found music with like AMAZING lyrics and even better background music. Lots of piano and soft stuff. Let me know if you'd like to hear any, just for fun!
