[FONT=Trebuchet MS][COLOR=DarkOrange]I've been watching the world cup, the one that sticks out the most is the one for David Beckam's new cologne. I'm sure it smells fantastic, however, the commercial pretty much sucks. It starts off with some clouds.. then we see Davey. And he's standing in the clouds.. swirly swirly, camera shots, etc.. then a sweatdrop rolls down the side of his face. All the clouds go away. Cut to a picture of the bottle, and the lady says something about the fragrance by Beckham. I sat there staring at the screen for a bit because I was like "what part of the actual commercial would have given me the hint that it's for cologne?" o_o[/COLOR][/FONT]

They do have some sexual jokes, but being a pervert is fun =3 [URL=http://www.asofterworld.com]A Softer World[/URL] - they're really.. different. It's a team of a writer and a photographer, and some of the "comics" are really interesting because you have to think. They don't always have a really obvious punchline, but alot of them are still pretty funny. If not funny, thought provoking. [URL=http://www.marriedtothesea.com]Married To The Sea[/URL] - by a guy and his wife who take old looking pictures, and then add in little details, and captions. Drawings are absolutely uncomplicated and look like a small child drew them xD and yet they usually make me laugh. [FONT=Trebuchet MS][COLOR=DarkOrange]This was in April of 2004 and so I was still a little 13 going on 14 year old n00b. I was looking for stuff on InuYasha and stumbled upon The Otaku. I found some of the quizzes and thought "hey, this is pretty neat!" My next stop was the Otaku Boards. I signed up but posted maybe about 3 times because I had had some ridiculously bad luck on forums where I got blasted and ended up leaving because of really snobby users who had been around since the opening. I figured the OB would be the same so I decided that I wouldn't bother using my account since people would probably end up flaming me anyway ^_^;; The next day I signed up for myOtaku, because I had never had a journal of any sorts before and thus began my blogging lifestyle. Sometimes I go back and look at the absolutely ridiculous things I posted about when I started.. they're good for a laugh XD I've had the same account since. I'm really glad I joined because I've met some of the sweetest, best friends that one could ever ask for.[/COLOR][/FONT]

That really slows you down and wastes alot of energy. Your arms should help, not hinder, your runner. Keep them pointing straight as you run, don't allow them to move across your body. The other problem is running really heavily, using your whole foot. Try running almost as if you're on your tiptoes. Use the front of your foot. I hope this helps =3 I am [I]kinda[/I] qualified.. [FONT=Trebuchet MS][COLOR=Indigo]Lifting weights is important, but I think first off, you should concentrate on your core muscles. (not just abs, like alot of people seem to think.) Core muscles will give you the stamina to be a great runner, and just in general be more fit. It definitely wouldn't hurt to throw some core work into your routine. I play for a club soccer team, and we do core 3 times a week, after a ten minute run. Try doing V-sits (raise your shoulderblades off the ground, and straighten your legs, also off the ground in front of you.. you know, like in a v. Then straighten your body out, then go back up to that position without touching the ground.) instead of just sit ups, and Turkish get ups (lay down on the ground, one arm raised with your elbow by your ear, your other arm down at your side. Get up without using your other arm to help you, keeping your arm straight and your elbow up). If you can, get a friend to go with you, because then you can do (I have no idea what it's called) the exercise where you lay down on the ground, and raise your legs straight up to a ninety degree, and have them give your legs resistance, so that you have to let your legs go down again, without letting them touch the ground. It really does help, if you do it a few times a week, consistently. Even just three times a week, I'm in great shape and my abs, as well as my arms and quads are significantly stronger. And if you do weights on top of that, holy crap! I hope this helps and I hope I'm not confusing you ^__^;; Good luck![/COLOR][/FONT]

For my birthday, some of the ladies from my old soccer team and i went for dinner at Denny's. We had a good time, we were loud, we threw things, we spilled stuff all over the table. After dinner, we decided we'd go pick up a cake from the Sobey's near Kaylee's house. So we walked to the Sobey's and went to the bakery. We took a very long time deciding on them because i was very tempted to get the one with army men on it XD eventually we picked a small cake, and the lady asked us if we wanted anything written on it. I smiled and said "can you write Happy Barmitzvah on it, please?" she gave me SUCH a weird look. Plus she asked me to spell it XD when she handed me my cake I got another weird look, and then we paid and left. On the walk to Kaylee's house, we thought it might be fun to sing. So we walked along this busy road, singing whatever someone suggested. My friend Kim and I got through the whole Elephant Love Medley from Moulin Rouge XP then we decided to dance AND sing so we got a ton of honks as well. It was one of the best birthday's I've had. I love those girls and we always have weird fun like that whenever we're together ^^[/COLOR][/FONT]

I would create a thread specifically for them, but I'm not sure that enough people would know about them to warrant that XD I'll let Wikipedia take over for me here. "Polysics are a Japanese new wave/synth-pop/J-Rock band, hailing from Tokyo. The band started in 1997, but got their big break in 1998 at a concert in Tokyo. They create high energy music, fusing conventional guitar music, with synthesized and computer generated sound to create a unique mixture of punk and pop, heavily inspired by the American band Devo. Their song lyrics often consist of Japanese, broken English, or just plain gibberish ("Space Language"). The band has been noted for their extremely energetic live performances and their wild gimmicky outfits." I have never heard a more insane band than Polysics. I've watched some of their concerts via youtube and the energy they have is incredible.. they make any cover song they do completely their own. My favourite songs by them include I My Me Mine, Baby Bias, Electric Surfer Go Go, Black Out Fall Out and Domo Arigato Mr Roboto. If you're looking for something different, and you haven't listened to them yet, I definitely recommend you check them out. Other favourites are: AKFG: Come on. The standard for any JRock fan. Ridiculously catchy. I'm in love with the singer's voice =3 Kimi to iu Hana is and always will be my favourite. AnCafe: Mm. pretty boys. Miku has the cutest voice. It's not exactly pretty, but I love him no matter what. Alice Nine: Again. I'm a sucker for pretty boys. The lead singer for these guys has a much prettier voice. Ellegarden: They do quite a bit of singing in English. And that's what it is! Hardly engrishy at all. Many people wouldn't be able to tell they're even Japanese! Tons more but it's late and I'm tired XD[/COLOR][/FONT]

Kimi to iu hana is my favourite song by them, I think, but not that many people know of it, atleast where I am. The Japanese exchange students I'm friends with like them too.. I think AKFG has deserved all the success they've found semi-recently. Both Naruto and FMA did wonders in boosting them into the American market. I'm glad they're finding a good fanbase here too ^_^[/FONT][/COLOR]
