Just glancing at the latest replies, and I really have to say I agree with girls being silly and getting offended when they wear pretty provocative clothing. I myself realise the fact that I have larger breasts. There is nothing I can do about this and I also realise that, if I wear certain clothes, it maybe makes them more obvious, not because I want guys to stare at them, but because it simply can't be helped. Because I realise this is a fact, I honestly can't see the point in getting offended if someone gives my chest a passing glance. However, if I was talking to someone and he constantly stared at my chest throughout the conversation I think I'd have a right to get pissy. I have this T-Shirt, which reads, "BEWARE! The one-legged space pigeons are plotting our demise!". I wore it out shopping once and this guy, perfectly straight faced, reached out to grab my arm and stop me before asking in a very sincere voice 'I'm sorry, but can I read your shirt?? I found it quite hilarious, and when he saw me later on he was all 'Beware!? >_> People need to loosen up, heh.

sakurasuka: *weeps* Your hair and eyes are so gorgeous. *envy* And you're so photogenic. Retri: OMG EETS ALEX LOL! You're adorable~ White: Why have you not posted pictures? Your fangirls will be sad. ): Jubei: I'm so sorry, I always thought you were a girl! >< You have a really pretty smile though~ Hmm, this thread really has been useful for putting names to faces. Lots of people are totally different from what I ever imagined them to be like. (Like I thought most of the boys were girls >_>) Edit: Homg, I found a picture of me smiling! Admittedly not the best, but you get the idea. The hobo with long hair is my friend Toby. Your RP style is certainly different, but also, sadly, incorrect. We work on a base of set rules here which give you the guidelines for how to set up an RP in the Inn. I'm happy that you are using correct spelling and grammar, but I'd ask you to read the Sticky to see how other things work around here. Also, please remember that every thread must have a rating. They are also explained in the sticky. I'm closing this thread, but please feel free to recreate it with the corrections. If you have any questions, please PM myself or one of the other Arena moderators. -Ezekiel.

First girl >D Also probably the most unphotogenic person you will ever meet. My hair style tends to change a lot, but it's mostly in an angled bob. It's also deep red, which the webcam doesn't show very well. :( I generally look depressed, as most people tend to point out, but I'm smiling on the inside, I swear! ^ most recent. ^ A few months old, but a pretty good rep of what I wear.
Crikey! It is indeed a real shame about Steve's semi-untimely death. I saw on the front of a newspaper over here however that steve's "dying wish" was to have his death broadcast on television.is there any truth to this, or is it just poor taste on the part of the newspaper?
Nope, I'm pretty sure it's legit. I read that on my daily news report in my e-mails, too. He said something about knowing what he does is dangerous and if he was ever attacked that the camera man should keep on rolling. I guess after all that work he could only see sense in showing it. I think it's great that his family have agreed and said they'd honour his wish.

And as for Photoshop, I heard that it is a very hard program to master. . . is there such a thing as an online tutorial? Trial and error, on such an expensive software package, would be kind of frustrating, wouldn't it?
I'm always saddened by the fact that people assume Photoshop is the only software you can use for creating 'amazing digital art'. It really, really isn't. I've had Photoshop and found it to be unnecessarily complicated for the things I want to do. I use Paint Shop Pro 9 (X is available now, I believe), and that's all I ever want to stick with. It's a helluva lot cheaper than Photoshop and, as far as I can tell from my Photoshopping days, only misses a few things that Photoshop has. (Extra filters, gradients, and more text options). However, if you're patient, you can replicate most desirable effects using Paint Shop. Honestly, I only suggest going for Photoshop if you want to do graphic design on a professional level, like Retribution. If you just want it for a fun hobby, like myself, then buy Paint Shop Pro. If you do go for it and want any help, feel free to ask me. =)

But it was so depressing. To me, he seemed almost invincible, but I guess he was just human.
That's exactly what I always thought of him. I hadn't seen him on TV for years, but I used to watch his shows all the time in South Africa. He was fantastic (crazy, yes, but fantastic) and so full of personality. When my mum and I heard it on the TV we both sort of...stared at each other. The only thing she could say was 'Oh, ****.' Still doesn't seem right that he's gone, but I have to agree with others when they say this was probably one of the better ways for him to die, doing a job he loved.

As far as the 'personality does not make attractive' argument goes, I really have to disagree. There's this presenter we have over here in the UK; Jeremy Clarkson. Now, he really isn't what you'd call an attractive specimen, however, his personality is simply amazing. I adore the man and, if I was around the age of my late-forties and approached by him in a bar, I'd honestly be swept off my feet. I know that there aren't many people who are like that, but it's not impossible. I look for a guy to be attractive but also to have intelligence and a good personality. I wouldn't ever go for someone who was 100% attractive and at the same time a complete prat. (Been there, done that, burnt the T-Shirt.) However, at the same time, I wouldn?t be immediately attracted to a man with a load of personality but no good looks. Over time I may grow to like him and look past the way he is physically, but as far as immediate physical attraction goes, it would be a no. I don?t think superficiality is making yourself look good, I think it?s making yourself into something you?re not. I don?t think I?m superficial at all, sure I wear some make-up and I dye my hair, but I?m doing it because I like the way I look now?not because I want others to think I look fantastic. I?m past the point now of wanting many guys to find me attractive because life just isn?t that nice to me. I think it?s a shame when all that a girl wants is to have others think she looks great at, perhaps, the expense of her reputation.

Codename: Mr White Appearance: [link] Personality: Mr White generally tries to get on with the rest of the group. He's witty and has a quick tongue, this coming from his English heritage, and knows how to throw a harsh insult or two. Despite his snappy remarks and loud mouth, he somehow manages to make a large network of friends. He's an infectiously likeable guy that has connections in all levels of society, though he'll only ever refer to them as 'very good friends'. He prides himself in never having been in a brawl or very serious argument, though in light of recent events has been a little edgier than usual. His happy go lucky attitude will only stretch so far though, and if pushed to the right extent Mr White can certainly dish it out. Mr White is, in summary, the kind of man that will insult your mother with a cheery grin on his face and his halo tipping only slightly to one side. Service with a smile. I know you have a Mr White application...but something is really drawing me to that codename. If you want me to change then I gladly will.

Elizabeth kept her arms wrapped firmly around Maxwell's large frame as they danced, rather clumsily, in the middle of the ballroom floor. The redhead was not very pleased, finding that the very sight of Mr Gaines made her rather...edgy. He was too cocky, that man, and Elizabeth had only come to realise this after ending her brief period of stalking him. Stalking? Yes, she supposed that was fair. A sign that she was squeezing a little too hard came as Maxwell gave a soft grunt of displeasure and moved his hands to grip her wrists. "Something is bothering you?" "Don't worry, darling, just thinking." Elizabeth smiled and leant up to kiss Maxwell on the cheek, her garish burnt orange high heels clicking on the marble floor as she inched forward. Maxwell smiled in turn and rubbed her forearms thoughtfully, used to his partner's loud way of dressing. "How about we have some fresh air? It will do you good." "Oh, I don't know Maxwell. I think I could just use a stiff drink." Maxwell frowned and watched as Elizabeth made her way through the crowd, her wide ball gown skirts managing to make quite a large path. Though, it could have been the colours that made people step back, Maxwell realised this was very likely. Elizabeth didn't look back to see if Maxwell was following her, never having been the sort of woman to depend on a man to keep her company. Before Maxwell she's had only a thin string of flings and had grown into a very independent, confident woman. Maxwell had just become a very comforting thing to come home to. She ordered a whiskey and rested her chin on the back of one hand, glancing around the room in search of Mrs. Longfellow. Her brow furrowed as she frowned in contemplation, wondering for the umpteenth time what kind of party this really was.

The ruffling of pages was all that could be heard in the expansive library of the Castle That Never Was. Kaxkel rested back in a large leather armchair, a glass of wine clasped in one feminine hand, while the other supported a slim, but ancient, book. His smile was small but content. He sipped the wine thoughtfully, swirling it around his mouth to savour the taste. The soft hiss of the Serpent next to him was what alerted the fourth member to a new presence. "Show yourself," he commanded, but not unkindly. The Dusk swept into view, it's features obscured by the shadows cast from the light of a candle. As if it wasn't frightening enough, Kaxkel mused. He set down his book and wine, leaning forward to listen to the Dusk's message, even if he already had a clue to what it was. His Majesty asks that you meet with him in the Chamber of Dying Echoes, sir. Kaxkel gave a wry smile and swept some hair out of his eyes before adjusting his monocle. "You make it sound as though I have a choice. You are dismissed." as soon as the words were spoken the Dusk disappeared and Kaxkel's Serpents rose to flank him. They glided softly over the plush carpet, following a step behind their master as he strode toward the meeting hall. Kaxkel arrived just in time to witness Xinikk's outburst, the sound of her fists slamming down on the table echoing around the hall. Kaxkel smiled and showed himself once Onix had diffused the situation, nodding to the other members as he made his way down the table. ?My, my, aren?t we all irritable today.? It was a statement rather than a question and Kaxkel slid a smooth, disarming smile at Xinikk before she could protest, folding his arms as he rested back in his chair. ?I was enjoying a nice glass of wine and a read. I hope this is important.?

Quincy sighed and plopped down on the floor, noting with some happiness that the preservatives such as jam and peanut butter were still okay. Somehow, she just knew. The date wasn't what it would be in the real world, but she had come to realise that it was to be expected. She looked up at the younger boys and tossed a jar of peanut butter to Tristan. "Perhaps we can spread some on a stick.? she grumbled, resting her elbows on her spread knees. Tristan shrugged and Flamon laughed softly, inspecting the jam, "You never know...it could take quite nice." "And my telling you to shut the hell up is affectionate." Quincy scowled, craning her neck around to see if there was anything more entertaining in the isle. Stephen, apparently not happy with the depressing tone, walked off toward a small magazine rack. Kotemon ignored all this and kept his cool gaze focused on Quincy, tapping his shinai against her shoe softly. "Why the fierce temper?" he asked, almost gently. Quincy turned her head to look at him, but didn't make an attempt to stop the knocking of the bamboo sword. "I find it hard to be anything but pessimistic in this situation. Sorry." "You should apologise to Flamon, not me." Quincy sighed and brushed some hair back from her eyes, standing up once again. It was then she noticed that they boys and there Digimon were all crowded together, apparently trying to explain what exactly a motorbike was. Quincy sighed again, opened the peanut butter, and ate thoughtfully. It was better than nothing. OOC: Blerg. Happy now, Will? x_x

Hugh Grant The sexiest man alive. Hands-down. Simply amazing. < Also, yes, Jack Black is love. And who says he isn't sexy? He can be. I'm also in agreement with Paul Bettany (he was gorgeous as Silas), Sean Bean and George Clooney. I have decided to add more, none of them actors save for one- Hyung-Tae Kim. An amazing artist and someone who can speak three languages and play video games? Ohyesplease. He's my absolute favourite digital artist ever and his style is so unique and...perfect. I can't believe someone so young (and good looking!) can have so much talent. Gotoh Masafumi The vocalist of Asian Kung-Fu Generation. Gotoh just screams 'cute' and as soon as I saw him I was in love. His voice is also very unique and I like the overall image the whole band has. His expressions are also completely adorable in their music videos. Colin Firth Yes, I know, every role he plays is basically the same. But I like every single character he's ever played. I especially liked it when he [strike]jumped into the lake in Pride and Prejudice[/strike] played as Mark Darcy in Bridget Jones' Diary 1 and 2. He's also extremely cute, for a man who could be my father. Shirley Manson. This woman is on a whole other level of sexy. Her unique appearance is what draws me to her, as well as her fantastic, flexible voice. She can pull off so many different styles while still looking like a rebellious, yet elegant, woman.

Aah, this is indeed a wonderful thread. I currently have three actors that I absolutely adore and lust after, and they're a wonderful way of showing how my tastes tend to vary. Hugh Laurie I first started to find Hugh attractive after watching House for a few episodes. I still think he's incredibly sexy in that role, and it's more for his brilliance and personality that I like him. Those puppy-dog eyes and rough, worn-out look are so hard to resist as well. I've been watching him in movies more now and I'm starting to find him attractive in other roles. I think he's certainly a man who's grown to become more attractive with age. Sung Kang I've only seen him in one movie; Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift, but since then I've been madly trying to find The Motel, another movie that he has a main role in. He's pretty much my perfect man, if I were to make a list. His character Han is also completely wonderful in personality and mannerisms. Daniel Dae Kim Again, I've only seen him in one thing, and that's the series Lost, in which he plays Jin. I heard him speaking English for the promo for season two and became a rather gooey puddle on the couch. He's an incredibly handsome man, I just wish he were in more things. ): So those are my men. Mmm.

Original Name: Kelka Order Name: Kaxkel Number: IV Code Name: The Benevolent Dragon Element: Fire. Weapon: Kaxkel, ever the gentleman, uses a very elegant looking rapier. The organization?s symbol is engraved on the hand-guard. Nobody: The Serpents- Agile, silent Nobodies with the ability to spew fire from their teeth-lined jaws. They also have incredible strength to break a man?s arm or leg in two with one swift bite. Appearance: Kaxkel is a young looking man with the wisdom of an ancient. Thus, his appearance reflects this. The only time he doesn't wear his half-pinz nez is when he's sleeping, other than that it's almost a part of his person. He doesn't like to appear in a rough or untidy manner, which is why his hair is usually tied back with a bow. Again, the only time this isn't the case is when Kaxkel is sleeping. He has never been fond of having to wear a uniform of sorts, so he tries to make himself as different from the other Order members in any way he can. Whether that be wearing silver, jewel studded rings or changing between lockets and chokers. He's a unique man, in both appearance and demeanour. Personality: Kaxkel is a very kind, merciful man. He doesn't enjoy fighting so much as seeing it as a chore, or an occupation. A means to an end. He is elegant and he is proper in every way possible, even down to the way he eats and holds himself amongst the others in the Order. He isn't very secretive, however, and will always speak his mind and share his thoughts and opinions, even if he knows no one else will agree with him or even like him for it. He gets the distinct impression that most of the Order aren't very fond of him, possibly due to the fact that while he will socialise and take every interest in their lives, he somehow manages to make himself removed from the group. In combat he tries to end a fight as quickly and as painlessly as possible. He has never seen his own blood, however, and Onix has a sneaking suspicion that once the Dragon feels pain, he'll be an unimaginable force. [strike]Whoo, I done so much >_> I will finish this?later.[/strike] And I am finished. Please excuse the rubbish CG, I was distracted and lazy in finishing it.

Art [OBWT] Round 2: Ezekiel & Katana VS Keyblade Wielder
Ezekiel replied to Ellerby's topic in Creative Works
Righty-hoh, I am finished. I was a little confused about the blending options bit, as I don't have any 'blending options' option in PSP. I assumed it was the same as my layer properties, hence the reason why the stock has been put through the 'burn' effect. If this is breaking the rules, let me know and I can fix it.
I'm agnostic. I don't think there's any way to prove or disprove if there is or isn't a God or what form he/she/it/they might take. I think that spirituality or, more specifically, the teachings that spirituality gives can be good foundations to be a 'moral' or 'good' person. From that foundation I think most people should form their own idea of what "good" and "bad" is other than simply allowing the Book to decide that for them. If you can be punished for simply being a creative, free thinking creature then perhaps I missed the entire point of why humans have such an ability, God or not.
That's pretty much my view on God, as well. Though I'm leaning more toward disbelief than anything else. I wasn't raised in a religious environment, nor was the area I lived in very religious. I went to church a couple of times but ended up finding too many things I disagreed with. I'm the kind of person that will only believe something once I've seen it, which is why I'm nore inclined to believe what science tells us, seeing as it has proof in the form of fossils etc to the beginnings of man. I have extremely strong opinions that disagree with those of people following religion, which is why I prefer to keep my views to myself. I know how people can get, and I'm no different.

Best years of my life? Hell no. I detested it, and the people who seemed to enjoy making my life a misery. What year did you graduate from High School? 2006, though it's not graduation. I just left. Get my exam results on the 24th of this month. What "clique" did you belong to? Well, we referred to ourselves as the rejects, which I guess we were. My closest friends and myself were classed as the nerds in the year, seeing as we were the ones with the top grades, in the top classes, but others of my friends were better at sports, or music. We were pretty much a mismatch group of people. I prefer that. Do you still remember your friends, do you still keep in touch? Not all of them, but my closest ones yes. I'm going to college with three of them. What state/province/country did you graduate from? Liverpool, United Kingdom. Do you remember your high school enemy? I didn't have one, really. I was tormented mostly by people I'd never seen before because I was 'ugly' and 'had red hair'. Everyone in my year group who actually knew me as a person liked me.

Name: Edward Quincy Silvers II (Insists people call him Quincy, never ?Ed? or ?Eddie?) Age: 11 Gender: Male Ethnicity and Place of Birth: A white English boy, born in a small village in the countryside, now residing in said small village, in a rather large house. Ability: The ability to create illusions and nightmares in order to drive a person insane without having to do any of the gory, messy work himself. He?d much rather have his tormentors kill themselves. Appearance: Quincy is a beautiful child, his golden locks of thick hair left to hang straight down to his shoulders, always cut evenly with no fringe covering his large, green eyes. His skin is pale, due to his indoor lifestyle, so his small, rosy lips tend to be more noticeable against the china-white of his cheeks. He is, most certainly, a perfect boy, and his parents will flaunt him as much as possible. However, being the?eccentric people they are, his clothing tends to differ from that of other young boys. He will be dressed in brown or black corduroys, with suede boots to match. A cream or black shirt is worn (tucked in, of course), with a waistcoat to keep him looking smart. If they are dining with guests, a black ribbon is used to keep his hair back. Having not seen any other boys, Quincy has become quite attached to his style of dress, seeing as it does make him look important and special. His pride and confidence are, of course, boosted by this image. Biography: Quincy?s short life has not consisted of very much. He was lucky to born with brain, so along with top-class personal tutors, he has managed to excel well past the expectance of his age group. He had a fascination with the piano from a young age, and has been told that he should seriously consider becoming a musician. His parents will have none of it, because their darling is going to become a doctor, or a surgeon, or something equally as important and special. Quincy just wants people to respect him. He has never been allowed outside, and this is something that has always tormented him and is, quite possibly, what has made him turn nasty in the last couple of years. He was always ahead of his time, thinking things that only adults should really be considering, and once he realised that he was essentially a (very well treated) prisoner in his own home, he made a turn for the worse. His parents barely saw him any more. He insisted on locking himself away in the Library, reading about men such as Adolph Hitler and Josef Stalin, forming his own fantasy worlds where he, too, could control everyone. A few times he attempted to escape, but that never got very far. That was when he realised how truly insane his parents really were. After his first attempted escape, this was at the age of ten; Quincy was retrieved after having only reached the garden gate. The servant who had been sent after him promptly threw him into the cellar, where he was left without food and little water until he had learnt his lesson. This lasted for five days, and during that time the tormented boy had resorted to killing and eating the only rat that crossed his path. When his father tugged him from the cellar his was greeted with hugs and kisses and ?Oh, do go wash that nasty stuff off your face, dear, it?s disgusting.? He drew into himself for the next year, barely spoke, and only planned. Planned and hoped for something bigger to get him out of this mess. A few days after his eleventh birthday, the young boy tried to escape again. Once again, he was caught, and once again he was thrown into the cellar. Only this time he had company. He wanted to torture people, drive them insane as he had been. Of course, he only meant to use this on his parents, but once Nemesis granted him the unimaginable power he realised what he was now capable of. Quincy came willingly and joyfully to be dropped off at the mansion in France. It barely registered in his young mind that he had to walk over the bodies of his parents as he left the house. Other: Quincy is a very proud, very arrogant boy who has grown used to compliments and people waiting on him hand and foot. He isn?t expecting to be treated any differently amongst the other members of the ?army?. I really, really like the idea of this, Ken. Excellent.
