1.
I have a question about Great Britain. Did Athletes of Scotland go in with GB or are there no athletes from Scotland. I was puzzled.
They went in with GB =) Our best chance at a top ten skier was from Scotland, and I do believe two of our best Figure Skaters are from Scotland (the brother and sister). I'm really interested in the speed skating, actually, and watched the men?s 1500 while eating dinner. Anyone who's on my MSN contacts list knows I'm rooting for Korea because...[STRIKE]I saw this really hot guy as their athletes came in[/STRIKE] it's a very cool country. >_> I watched the snowboarding highlights earlier as well, and man, that Shaun White is bloody impressive. I'm so glad he got gold.
2. Well, I posted the next part in the main thread...start of the Chuunin Exam Arc, if you will. You don't have to stay in your Cells anymore, guys, feel free to socialise, train...whatever you want, really. Eventually we'll make the journey to Village the of Hidden Eye (sorry if I got that wrong, Annie, I couldn't remember its exact name =/). I'm opening up a new option to people: Seeing as we'll be meeting new, evil ninja, I was wondering if anyone wanted to play as one of our opponents who are going to be oh so much more powerful than all of us are. I don't need anyone to, because they'll just be included as NPCs anyway, but just to let you all know that the option is there. To those of you who are bored: Fighting comes soon enough.
3. Konoha Village, 6 Months after Graduation... The Genin have progressed gradually through missions, learning as they go, finding bonds with one another and forming new friendships. Where rivals once were, reluctant friendships have sprouted, and where animosity once lay, now teamwork has emerged. The young Ninja have changed, some more plainly than others, as well as their Jounin. It cannot be denied that each Cell has found a new family in its teammates. The Chuunin exam is just around the corner, and each Cell has a week to train and prove to their Jounin that they are strong enough to be entered for the exam. They still have new things to learn, after all, because the journey to this Chuunin exam will be long and hard... The Village of the Hidden Eye is rebuilding and, as such, it has been decided that the second Chuunin exam of the year will be held there, in order to further help in the building of the village. One day, they hope to be as great as Konoha. Unbeknownst to the young Genin, they will be meeting an enemy much more powerful than they could have dreamed of. New challenges await them on their journey, the only question is, will they learn fast enough? Imi?s feet dangled into the water of a clear stream, Daisuke standing next to her with a fishing rod in hand. She was glad of the sun, as it had been rare recently, and the afternoons were usually cold and grey. Sighing, the redhead flopped back against the grass, her usual green sweater now lying next to her, a black T-Shirt covering her torso. ?Dai-chan, you?ve been standing there for half an hour and you haven?t caught anything. Take a break.? ?Iei, Imi-san,? Daisuke smiled, keeping his eye on the water, ?Patience is key, I thought you would have learnt that by now.? Imi shot a scathing glare up at her comrade before sitting up again, looking around for that pest Ginmaru. Okay, so they didn?t try to kill each other anymore?well, not that often, and he did seem to be growing up?but still, the memories were there, and Imi rather enjoyed having a rival in Ginmaru. ?Baka-chan, where are you hiding?? Imi called, causing Daisuke to wince as she splashed her feet in the shallow waters. ?I?m right behind you, fool.? Came the cool tones of Ginmaru, who promptly bopped Imi on the head with the hilt of his katana. Imi bent her head back to look up at the boy behind her, and scowled. ?Where did you get to?? ?None of your business.? ?We?re family, you have to tell me.? ?You?re no family of mine!? ?Um?you two?? ?I?m hurt, Ginny-kun!? ?Why, you?? Daisuke pushed his fishing rod between the pair, who were currently snarling at each other, to catch their attention. Both Genin looked to their team mate with a dual ?What?!?, only to be brought to attention by well placed kunai. Both turned, sheepishly, to see the smirking form of their sensei, up on a hill above the river. ?At it again like an old married couple, I?ll never understand?? he chuckled, ?Come on, you three, I?ve got something to tell you.?
4. Alex, could you give me a chance? Jeez, I'm trying to be realistic here, could you at least attempt to have some fun like everyone else is? If people aren't enjoying the missions, I might as well end them. Obviously my planning hasn't worked out, my apologies. If you haven't finished your missions by the time I post in main thread again, well then, I guess that's a shame. I was really enoying myself, too.
5. Part 9 Xion paced his office slowly, a Dictaphone held near his mouth as he occasionally muttered something he felt was important. It was his turn to do something big for the investigation, that being a criminal profile. Seraphim had asked the psychologist to compare both cases to determine whether or not he thought it was a serial killer they were dealing with, or merely a sad coincidence. Xion had said he couldn?t be sure so early, but there was no harm in trying. So here he stood now, photos and notes all over his floor as he paced among them, his shoes thrown in the corner along with his jacket and tie. He had to work casually, or he just couldn?t concentrate. Most of the women working in the OBPD main building couldn?t help but follow the young psychologist with wistful gazes, but many shuddered to think at what his flat would be like. Eventually Xion sat down amongst the paper and scribbled some notes down. He had a pretty good idea that this was a serial killer, and that he was most likely someone who was high up in the ?food chain of society?, as he called it. Someone who was respected. He rubbed his chin as he thought, before picking himself up off the floor and cleaning up his mess. Time for a drink, he thought, and then he could carry on with work. *** The next morning arrived without any upsets, except for icy roads and the threat of yet more snow. Ezekiel decided it wouldn?t be safe to drive to work, and had instead set out on foot from her block of flats. It wasn?t a bad walk, really, and after taking a few shortcuts she was only 10 minutes late for work. Mimminx greeted her inside with a smile and a nod, chuckling slightly as the detective shook out her red hair, melting snow dripping from her bangs. ?Bit nippy out there, detective?? she asked, not taking her eyes away from her computer. ?Just a little, Mims.? ?More than a little, I?d say, I?ve been freezing my ass off out there waiting for you.? Ezekiel turned to see Seraphim, who was glaring at her through sleep-deprived eyes. Ezekiel shrugged and started to unwind her scarf, looking down at her mud coated shoes, ?You could have waited inside.? she said, walking towards the kitchen without waiting for her partner?s reply. ?Yes, well, I might have missed you. Xion?s finished the profile and has an idea of where we should start looking for suspects.? Ezekiel shrugged once again, finding herself feeling oddly distant when it came to the case. ?He thinks it?s a serial. We need to go.? ?Go where?? Ezekiel turned, just as she reached the door to the kitchen, only a few steps away from her beloved coffee machine. ?The NM Registration Office. If the killer is picking out New Members, Xion figures they?re going to be close to them. Close enough to know their address and routine.? ?Sounds reasonable to me.? Ezekiel conceded, once again wrapping herself up in her scarf. ?We aren?t driving, are we?? Seraphim sighed and shook his head, glaring out of the building. ?It?s only a short walk anyway?we?ll have lunch out. Come on.? *** As the detectives exited the building, they were blissfully unaware of someone watching them from a high window. Someone who was starting to feel strangely powerful after the last few days. The member smiled, surprisingly calm considering they were being hunted by the OBs supposed best. ?Wrong way, detectives, you?re getting colder?? Oh God, that was utter bollocks. Bare with me, here, I'm currently swimming through a thick, dark writers block. I know where I'm going with this...I just need to get there.
6.
9: Tangled - Maroon 5[/B'] One of the most under toned sexual bands of all time. It's just a great mix of everything for a good time. Tangled's not one of my all time favorites, but it's a good one none the less.
!!!!! *slaps...friendly, like* I luff that song. >:O Anyway... 1)Who Makes You Feel--Dido Someone bought me Dido's album about two years ago, and I never listened to it until a few months ago. This song just stood out to me, mainly because of the lyrics. I'm always attracted to lyrics in a song, and Dido's voice just lends itself well to this song. 2)Zung Zung Funky Music--Orange Range Orange Range=
7. I don't always draw angry or dark pictures when I'm annoyed or sad. In fact, it's pretty much the opposite. I like drawing dark and angsty pictures, which makes people think I'm constantly angsty or depressed. In December, whilst staying with ULX, I drew a woman's dead torso. It was rather gory, to put it lightly, but I wanted to test myself to see if I could draw something macabre...without legs and arms. I was pretty impressed with it, but ULX seemed to think he should put me on anti-psychotic meds. (I blame Wolf Creek for giving me the idea, however) *not insane* On the odd occasion, if I'm sulking, I'll draw an angsty bishie...then again, I draw angsty bishies most of the time anyway =/ I get where you're coming from, though. Art is an extremely good way of getting out strong feelings, especially negative ones. It's like a vent, I think. By putting all your 'angry energy' into the drawing, it's kind of...transferring it? That's how I think about it, anyway.
8. I know I haven't replied to this in a while, but I have been reading eagerly. I'm intrigued as to who this could be, seriously. When you mentioned Ozy I thought she was going to be the next member of the crew, but you just killed her so quickly. I was rather surprised, to tell you the truth. Shorter than I would have liked, but very good writing as usual. The only thing I didn?t like was the mention of mould and a crudely made sign. Those two things seemed out of place, and I think something like 'The whole place was grungy' would have fitted better. And crudely made sign just makes me think of kiddies writing with a back-to-front 'S'. I don't really think that's the image you were going for, however, it may just be me. Looking forward to the next part ^_^
9. Imi growled softly as she rubbed her knuckles, glaring at Ginmaru?s retreating back as he staggered back towards Sho, no doubt to complain. Imi scoffed and turned in a huff, stalking after their client as he wound his way around the room, stopping to bow to friends and colleagues. Imi sighed as he began drinking sake again, politely refusing when he offered her some, almost spilling it on her new kimono. Though she would never admit it, Imi was growing rather fond of this outfit?perhaps she?d ask her mother for nicer?more girly clothes. The thought, however, was quickly wiped from her mind as a loud crash from the back of the restaurant shocked everyone into silence. She gasped and shot to her feet, running towards what she could only assume had been an explosion. Sho joined her quickly, as well as Daisuke, who was tugging a rather irate Ginmaru who was shaking his fist menacingly at some invisible entity. Sake, Imi thought, she would never touch the stuff. As the clouds of dust cleared, Sho moved in front of his Genin, holding out one arm as a sign for them to stay back, for now. Seeing as they had no weapons they?d have to rely on what training they?d had in hand to hand combat. Sho wasn?t sure they could handle someone wielding explosives. However, as soon as the man who?d caused the huge noise walked in, Sho sagged. He grumbled and walked forward, reaching out to grab the gangly man by one shoulder. ?Gerrof!? he yelped, squirming away from Sho?s fierce grip. ?I?m here?to rescue you all!? Imi blinked, stunned for a moment at the man?s appearance. He was dressed in pants far too big for him that were held up by heavily stretched suspenders. His boots were, just like his trousers, far too big and all he wore on his chest was a leather breastplate. Covering his face was a gas mask, and strapped to his side was what looked to be a crudely made wooden sword along with eight more home made explosives, far more powerful than anything Imi had seen used before. ?Er?sensei?? Daisuke began, but Sho waved him off. ?This guy?s a nutcase?? ?I?m a hero!? ?He thinks he?s part of ANBU?? ?I?m better than ANBU! You didn?t know there was a threat here! I know there is! That man,? he pointed threateningly into the crowd at what looked to be a tall man, covered in shadow, ?That man is a villain! He?ll kill you all! Let me pass!? with one last cry he barrelled into Sho?s chest, throwing what little weight he hand into the shove, sending both he and the surprised Jounin to the ground. Imi jumped back next to a swaying Ginmaru, who looked to be in a fighting stance typical to the Drunken Fist. Imi convinced herself it was merely a coincidence. Just as Sho was about to shove the lunatic off of him, another explosion sounded, sending Daisuke, who was closer to the fray, flying backwards. Imi yelped and ran to her comrade?s side, helping him up as the dust choked them both. ?Sensei?? Imi called through the thick dust, waiting for her teachers reply. This guy may have been a moron, but those explosives really packed a punch. OOC Okay, I realised I hadn?t given us much of a challenge for this mission, so here was have a crazy man wielding rather dangerous home made grenades. Have some fun, beat him up, and then throw him out. If we finish that before the 11th, then find something else entertaining to do. Character interaction/development anyone?
10. I adore the filters you used on that guy, they look amazing. I think it flows well enough, the only thing is the red in the top left hand corner, apart from that, everything matches up pretty well. I feel sorry for Shi no Tenshi having to match up with all the typography. >> *loving this so far* Oh, Retri, now that I've completed my piece does that mean I can sgn up again?
11. Well, I'm done. ^_^ While I was loving the typography, I'm a darker person with graphics. Simple and light doesn't seem to work for me. =p I'm sure Annie is going to be okay with the black I've left her to work with? Hope this is okay, everyone. x.x Image is here.
12. Okay, then, let's say this Saturday. That'll be...the 11th, I think >> *ded* Thanks for being so involved, everyone.
13.
To An Okay Lady Your love is like something loving. You smell special, And I like your neck.
Has someone been reading VGCats? The first line reminded me of the Star Wars spoof, with Padme's "Your love is like a lovely river of loving love, love" At least, I think that's how it went. Anyway. This made me laugh out loud a couple of times, especially the first verse. Probably because I have actually said, "I like your neck" to Trevor. Yeah, I'm sad. Seriously, though, if a guy gave this to me, I would love him forever. This is so much better than soppy, romantic stuff that?s supposed to make me cry. Give me humour any day.
14. Gack, sorry, C_E, I didn't even think about that x/ I guess that our Cell should just...move time forward for our own purposes. If I'd set a later deadline I'd say you could easily loiter then do the mission, but for the sake of speed let's just skip straight to the evening time. This, of course, won't effect the other missions. It's purely for ease. Hope that made things a little clearer for the rest of my Cell, if they were having the same problems. EDIT: I've just read Annie's post, which was wonderful. I guess we'll have our dinner then move on to get our clothes or something. I'm going to be putting Imi in a kimono, if you boys want to have something less traditional I really don't mind.
15. Alrighty then, I'm done. I...don't really like them. u_u I went for a more see-through effect rather than white, but I tried to keep the theme light. I may have made it a little too girly...gack. Sorreh. Anyway, here they are: This shows me that I should stick to dark banners x.o
16.
Adventure Square, Medieval Fantasy District February 5th, 12:06 Xion sighed and drummed his fingers on the hilt of his sword as he sat atop one of the Square's many RP Rooms. Nothing had happened worth noting in the area since the ungodly hour of 4 in the morning when he and Ezekiel had been woken out of their comfortable slumber by the terribly loud ringing of their doorbell. And opening the door to find Ozy Jones, Athena, and Arcadia in nothing but a pink towel had not improved his mood.
Those pink towels are my doing, no doubt. I like the Coke scene, too...just because it's something I've actully done. This is me being silly and girly again, see? Moving on... I really liked this part, especially since it was much longer than the last. I can't tell you how happy I am that you gave me a crowbar >) Your writing never fails to impress and amuse me. Gavin's "Interesting, most interesting" was a nice touch, too. Well done, love, keep it coming.
17. I'll probably have a shot at this, I'm in a ninja mood. I'll edit this later with your set...after I've done ULX's x_x (Yay for pimpage!)
18. ForgottenRaider is right, it's the time to say it when you feel you should. Love isn't set by how long you've been together, I believe love is chemical and when you're with the right person, something inside you tells you. If you feel you love him, truly and deeply, then just sit down and tell him. If he gets turned away by it and acts immature, then really he isn't worth it anyway. =/
19.
1. Period cramps! Enough said!
I agree, hon. I've had plenty of painful things, because I used to be terribly clumsy, but luckily I've never broken a bone. 1. When I was a Pirate... My dad built me this platform thing when I lived in South Africa, because I adored climbing. He hadn't actually finished it, but I managed to clamber up onto this thing and thoroughly enjoyed jumping off of it. So, one day, I put a stick in my mouth and decided to be a pirate. When I jumped off the platform, the stick hit the ground before I did and snapped one of my teeth. >_< Painful stuff, man. 2. Ow! My toe... Everyone's stubbed their toe, I know, but I used to do it so often. And I didn't just stub it, but I took the end off of it. The first time I hit my toe was when I was 4 and living in Thailand. I walked around without shoes on and must have caught it on a sharp step, because the whole tip of my toe was taken clean off. I think I hit it about ten times over the course of six years, and in the end I just didn't feel a thing. It was sort of like, "Oh, hey, I'm bleeding!" 3. I'll never skateboard again... Never, ever again will I touch a skateboard. I tried my friends out and, being the genius I am, went down a ramp designed for BMX bikes instead of skateboards. Obviously it was at the wrong angle, and the skateboard kind of...slipped from under me. If anyone?s ever seen the episode of the Simpsons where Homer slips on water, it was like that. I landed almost perfectly straight, hitting my hip on the way down. I got up and started laughing, because at the time it didn't hurt too badly. Ached like hell for days after, though, and I had a bruise that spread right over my hip and thigh. 4. Bikes+Corners=Bad Usual thing, really. Went round a corner too fast on my bike, hit the curb, and flew right over the handlebars. Again, I got up and laughed, because it didn't hurt too badly at the time. I was actually pretty lucky, because I landed a couple of feet away from a pile of bricks. 5. Ooh, what's this? Again, something stupid I done as a child. I saw the car cigarette lighter and didn't have a clue what it was. My mum was outside the car, loading shopping or something, so I pressed the lighter in to see what it did. When it popped out I noticed it had changed colour and...pressed it against my thumb. Yeah. Not doing that again. Nothing really exciting for me. There have been plenty more painful things I've done, but those are the most...interesting. How odd.
20. ^_^ So glad you like them! Just thought I'd mention something, seeing as Retri asked me: You don't have to wait for your Jounin to post first before you get into the mission. I prefer not to give posting orders, because it may slow things down. Just go right ahead, and feel free to discuss the mission in this thread with your Cell.
21. 'Not many more to go now,' the Hokage thought, trying to comfort himself. The Rookie's tended to drain him as soon as they entered the room. He was getting old now, and seeing their eagerness was almost too much. Kaname walked in with a tired smile on her face, her Cell behind her looking equally as tired. Kazuko looked at if his cheek was slightly swollen, and Junko's eye...the Hokage sighed deeply. He's put those two together in hopes that they would become better friends, but it seemed that would take quite a while. "Alright, you four," he began, "Doctor Enichi has requested that you go into Konoha's main forest to collect some rare herbs for him. It's simple, really, but might take you a while to get to the exact location." Kaname rubbed her temples as if nursing a headache and reached out to take a map from the Hokage's hand. "Right in the centre of the forest?" she groaned, never having gone that far herself. She glanced back at her Cell and groaned at the thought of a whole day of hot weather with those three. "Okay, Hokage-sama. We'll go and get ourselves ready..." the small woman sighed and pressed her fingers into Junko and Kazuko's spines to push them out, her nerves already frayed from the constant bickering between the two Genin. "Good luck, Kaname, and watch out for the bugs." June shuddered. --- Again, just refer to your PM for the more detailed side to this mission. Obviously a D rank mission wouldn't involve man-eating plants. I gave this to you guys for a reason, so have fun with it. Amuse yourselves. ^_^
22. Sho crossed the hall with long strides, his three Genin in tow. Imi and Ginmaru seemed to have made an agreement that not talking was the best way to not killing each other. Daisuke certainly wasn't complaining about this. "So, what joys shall we encounter on our first mission together." The Hokage grimaced as he looked at his paper, and then at Sho, wondering why in Kami-sama's name someone had decided to put this mission with this Cell. "Well, there's a businessman from Hidden Sand Village who's attending a large formal party tonight," Ginmaru was already starting to look edgy at the mention of 'formal party'. "And we're...escorting him? Showing him around?" Sho guessed, trying to urge the Hokage on. "No, you'll all have to be his bodyguards, in case any annoyed associates want to fight him. It won't be anything exciting, you'll probably have to calm some...tipsy old men down." Imi's shoulders sagged sadly. "Well, that doesn't sound so bad." Sho shrugged, reaching out to take the address of the party form the Hokage's hand before he turned to leave. "Well, there's one last thing, Shogo-kun," the whole Cell turned, "You'll have to dress accordingly." "You mean..." Sho growled. "Yes, Shogo-kun, formal wear." --- Okay, so this mission isn't all that tasking. Just amusing. Well, I thought so >_> Have fun with this, and remember the sake~ ^_~
23. As Cell 1 left the hall, Cell 2 walked in, Naruto striding in with his chest puffed out. He stood with his hands on his hips as his Genin lined up beside him, all of them looking a little tired and irate. Naruto got them out of bed early, no doubt. "You better be giving us something good, old man!" Naruto boomed, not noticing Mei's wince. "Depends on what you count as good, Naruto-kun," the Hokage countered, looking down at his papers. "Well, let's see...you're all going to be looking after a puppy." Naruto blinked before groaning and slumping to the floor, visibly sulking. Hart snorted softly and looked at the ceiling, trying not to laugh. "It's simple, really, go to Mr Oyichi's house. He'll meet you there and no doubt leave instructions on how to look after his Poochie." "Poochie...?" Keiji began, but Mei cut him off with a shake of her head. She was trying not to laugh, too, by the looks of it. "Tch...Why do we get the stupid Missions?" Naruto grumbled as Hart tugged on his sleeve. "Naruto, it's hardly stupid. We're still getting paid." The Hokage smiled one last time as the Genin's shoulders slumped slightly, encouraged to leave a little faster as Sho's Cell entered the room. --- You all know what's going on, due to the PM. Have fun with this and take note of my subtle...or not so subtle, actually, hints.
24. The Hokage ruffled his papers as the new Rookie Cell walked into the hall where missions were being handed out. He smiled at Sasuke, who simply nodded, and began reading out the task once the four ninja were standing in front of him. "Mr and Mrs Habiki are going on a day trip, and have asked that we send one of our Cells to look after their six children," The Hokage smiled as a couple of the young Genin twitched at the word 'children', "This is a D rank mission, as I'm sure you understand, and shouldn't be too difficult. The couple have left a list of things you need to do in the house, and I have a copy here." at the, he handed a piece of paper to Sasuke, who tucked it away neatly into his vest. "You all understand that these are young, impressionable children, yes? I don't want any messing around." the old man look around meaningfully as the Genin looked at their feet, all of them obviously wanting to be doing something a little more...exciting. Sasuke sighed and placed a hand on Akira's shoulder, steering him out of the hall so that the other two followed. "Let's make the most of this..." --- You've all got the PM, and I trust you're going to take note of my subtle hints. ^_~ Just have fun with these missions, 'kay? Nothing stressful or bloody just yet. Feel free to make up the kids ages/names.
25. ULX, my love~! The image of my darling waving a sword at people in that angry manner of his makes me giggle with delight. *fans self* But moving on >> I really, really enjoyed this chapter, especially,as Revelation pointed out, the scene with RaR and Trevor. That joke was classy, Annie, really classy. Can't wait for more.
