1. The dining room was brilliant, a large cathedral ceiling with gold leave covering the whole surface. Ornate chandeliers hung in lines, white candles flickering daintily on each of the perches. Xander looked down at Imogen and moved an arm to rest his hand on her hip; she jumped slightly and looked up to him, smiling shyly. He winked in response and pulled out a chair for her, she laughed and sat down and he took his place on her right hand side, a man who she hadn't seen sitting on her left. Imogen turned and held out her hand, "Imogen Nesbitt, it's a pleasure." The man looked up and took her hand, smiling slightly, "Name's Marcus." he replied, shaking Imogen?s hand lightly. "What do you think of the place so far?" she asked, trying to spark some form of conversation, even small talk would suffice. "It certainly is wonderful," Marcus replied, casting his eyes to the golden ceiling, "Eerie how that old guy seems to know everything about us." he looked at Imogen and chuckled, she laughed and nodded, shifting her chair to look at Marcus properly. A thought occurred to her, she hadn't seen anyone else?s rooms, save Xander?s, and didn't know if it had been a coincidence that hers was so much like her old room. Maybe all the rooms were mostly the same. She dropped her voice to a whisper in case one of the servants heard what she said, scared that the Master would take offence to her question, "What was your room like?" "Perfect." was Marcus' short, and awed, reply. He leaned closer to Imogen so that he could whisper back, "What about yours?" She nodded, "Exactly the same as my favourite room from when I was little." "Scary." Imogen nodded again and leaned even closer to Marcus, her eyes flickering nervously to the Master. He wasn't looking and she said, "Do you think he?s been stalking us?" Marcus was about to reply when a bell sounded, both he and Imogen looked up to see a whole line of servants, all dressed smartly, coming through the large doors in single file, each of them carrying a sizeable tray of food. OOC Kairi, I haven't had a good chance to interact with Zoku in WOTB, now's my chance to get to know you, so to speak.
2. Methuselah grinned and fwapped Treno on the back, knocking some of the air out of him. He looked at her with mock anger and she merely waved, sprinting off into the crowd with him in hot pursuit. Methuselah laughed as she almost fell over a horribly short New Member that was jumping up and down to look at what everyone else was trying to see. She spotted Siren and, making sure he didn't see her face in case of a later maiming, jumped up and used his head as a support to clear the guard rail and land just in front of a shuttle. She smirked as both her feet made contact with the steel, a satisfying 'thud' sounding around the area, everyone having gone silent. Treno managed to scramble over the guardrail after apologising to Siren who looked ready to rip someone head off at any moment. Methuselah laughed and quickly climbed into the shuttle, Treno following behind, glaring at her. She smiled innocently as always and fixed her sizeable sword, the people around squashing up to make room for the large pigtailed member. That was the plus of travelling with Methuselah; you never had to worry about being caught in a crowd. Treno recalled a time when the two of them had been late for an audition; Methuselah spotted a crowd and drew her sword, yelling at the top of her lungs. She never hit anyone, of course, but running at full speed swinging the sword the length of her body was enough to clear a path to the pair?s destination. Treno chuckled to himself and was quickly pinched by Methuselah who was staring at him quizzically, "What?s so funny, Scotsman?" she asked, narrowing her eyes. Treno pulled back and shook his head, "Just reminiscing." Suddenly the people in the shuttled whooped and Methuselah, using her pigtails as weapons, clearing a large enough path to get a good view. Treno, lucky enough to be a lot taller than his friend, also got a good look out of the window and noticed the huge crowd gathered around a massive, and shiny, mecha. Methuselah almost drooled at the site, "Beautiful..." she muttered, smiling goofily. Treno rolled his eyes and leant against the glass window, sighing deeply as the journey went on. "We didn't get any coffee...." he moaned, Methuselah pinched him again. "Mecha, Trenny, mecha...."
3. As Xander turned and asked Imogen that question, 'Do you play?' she smiled and nodded. Since she was six she had been playing, her father had taught her at first then she took it upon herself to learn the pieces of music that she loved. She stepped into the room and breathed in the fresh air, looking out of the window before focussing on Xander. She banished the blush again as his hair was ruffled by the wind, a spark in his eyes that, despite his gaunt look, brightened his whole expression. Imogen sat and opened the cover of piano, running her fingers lightly across the ivory keys. She felt so alive, her fingers seemed to light as she pressed down on the middle C first, something the she always done out of habit. She ran her right hand across the first octave, testing the piano. "It's perfect..." she muttered, more to herself than Xander. It took her mere seconds to decide on which song to play, she straightened her back and began; her fingers seemed to dance across the keys as Fur Elise fell from her fingertips. Imogen smiled and stood, her pace quickening as she felt the true emotion of the song break through, she had never played so well before, her fingers had never felt so light and so precise. When she finished she sat back down again, going back to admiring the workmanship on the piano, she didn't even realise when Xander came up behind her and placed his hands on her shoulders, bending down to whisper, "That was beautiful..." Imogen turned her head and reached up with one hand, pausing to think about what she was doing. The spark she had felt earlier, that rush from only a second of him holding her hand, she needed to see, to be sure. His hand didn't move when she placed her own on top of it gently, and instead Xander moved his other arm around, wrapping it around her shoulders. Imogen was shocked, but for some reason, it felt right, she felt as if this man, someone who she had met no more than half an hour ago, was the one who she had been with her whole life. The feeling was wonderful and she relished it, leaning back into his gentle embrace.
4.
I hate the Imperial system and that sign in front of that one church that always has some irksomely Jesus-loving slogan upon it.
I totally agree with you, there. I used to live by one of those Churches, and you know what? No matter how hard I tried, I could never make sense of what they were trying to tell me with those bloody neon yellow signs. I don't hate many things, I tend to see something and realise I hate it, rather than thinking, 'Hey, you know what? I hate broccoli!' which I actually do...but you see my point. At the moment I hate: ? My friend Melissa when she starts trying to get all the boys to stare at her then claims she doesn't like the attention. ? Megan literally punching me when I use the phrase, 'Oh my God' before doing it herself. ? Maths. I despise its very essence. ? RE lessons. ? Having a lot of fun in dodge ball before getting hit in the face painfully. ? Last but not least, the Atlantic Ocean.
5. Lucian had made damn sure that he was late for this little announcement, he knew it was urgent, he also knew, by the bored look on Jude's face, that it was something they would be reminded of. So, he casually strolled to the Auditorium, already able to hear Araby's voice as he walked around the corner. He sighed and opened the door, ignoring the annoyed look from Araby as he stopped in mid sentence before continuing on again, rolling his eyes. Lucian gave the now distracted doctor a sarcastic thumbs up, before noticing the warning glare from Jude who was seated two rows from the front. Lucian hung his head and sat down, he didn't like pissing Jude off, one black eye from him was one too many, Lucian would always remember that. He slipped into thought and pushes his glasses up his nose, sliding down in his chair. Memories attacked him but he merely smiled, he liked remembering old times, even if some of them weren't the best of things. he loved his job and was good at it, no mad scientist would take that away. Six Hours Earlier Lucian had managed to hide himself from the agent he had landed on, he didn't think that being out in the open was a good idea at that point in time. He leaned against a wall, a black TV screen in front of him. He swore he saw it flicker and walked closer, squinting at it. Bad mistake. It instantly turned on in a brilliant burst of white, the large face of Dr. Rathbone glaring into Lucian now stinging eyes. he cursed and rubbed at them furiously, the Doctors voice sounding stern and serious. he taled of humans dieing, his genius plan. Lucian couldn't believe his ears. he didn't want to hear this and he left quickly, hoping not to bump into anyone. Present Lucian was pulled from his thoughts by someone?s hand around the back of his neck, he jumped and looked up into the face of Jude Hayes, Eleanor and Prudence behind him, exchanging worried looks. Lucian smiled and waved to Jude, "Something the matter, mate?" his Liverpool accent showed through, he had always prided himself on sounding like one of the legends, John Lennon, whom he had modelled himself on since he had first read about The Beatles. Jude gritted his teeth and yanked on Lucian?s collar, drawing a yelp from the shorter man. Lucian gasped and turned on Jude, "Now come on, was that really necessary?" he demanded, a hint of anger showing through in his usually calm voice. "Yes, it was." came Jude's reply. Eleanor stepped forward and touched Lucian?s arm, he turned to her and smiled, "What is it?" "We need to go." the urgency in her voice worried Lucian and he simply nodded, bowing his head in respect to Jude. OOC Trying to show the relationship between Jude and Lucian, they seem like the kind of guys that love to hate each other. Hope this is okay with you, Angelus.
6. I like them a lot, thank you very much (The text is brilliant) ^_^ I'm going to leave this open if anyone else wants to give it a try, I'd love to be able to have a variety to change around. Thanks again!
7. I haven't requested a banner for a long time, recently I've found my siggie to be nicer without it...but I'm so very fickle these days. I've recently been hooked onto Bleach because of my dear friend, Reise. My favourite character is by far Quincy, but I know how hard it is to get decent pictures of him. I'd like it very much if the banner could have a green/blue background with Ichigo looking suitably angry positioned to the left hand side. (Of course, if you can find any decent Quincy Archer pictures, that would be incredible). The avi could again just be a picture of Ichigo's face with the same green/blue background. I'd like the avatar to say 'Meth' and the banner to have 'Someday our feelings will reach the heart of someone' on it in...erm...funky styled writing? XD I'm going for a really 60's style background and I'd like the writing to match that. If you've seen Bleach, I'm talking about the part in the opening sequence when the background is all lime green and swirling. Wow, my descriptive powers amaze me. Thanks for anyone who could do this for me, much appreciated.
8. Imogen took one last look at the painting, narrowing her eyes before she glanced up at Xander?s, a defensive smile on his face. She sighed, "At least you did me justice." he laughed, she smiled, and all was good in the world. "Care for a walk?" Xander asked, holding his arm out to let Imogen pass. She nodded and walked into the corridor, burying her hands in her pockets. Xander closed his door behind him and walked next to her, as the pair left for what they thought was the front door. After ten minutes of walking, Xander spoke up, "I think we went the wrong way." "I'd have to agree." Imogen stopped and sat down on one of the stairs, "It's like we've been going down for ever, I don't remember coming up this many stairs." Xander shrugged and sat down opposite her, leaning his head back against the large golden banister. Imogen fixed her gaze on him, taking in his features and clothes. Then it hit her, and she blushed, Xander was certainly very attractive. She shook her head and looked at the floor, drawing circles on the carpet. Xander look up and raised an eyebrow, as the circles got bigger. He leaned down, and before Imogen noticed, he was right by her face. She looked up and gasped, jumping slightly. "I'm not that scary, am I?" Xander pretended to be hurt and stood up, walking back up the stairs in a huff. Imogen laughed and jumped up, running after Xander. "No, I'm sorry, you just shocked me!" Xander ignored her still, a smirk cracking on his face. Then Imogen did something that she didn't understand. Why her brain had told her to do it, she didn't know, but she reached out and grabbed his hand with both of hers, entwining the fingers of her right with his left, tugging on him slightly. Holding hands may not be a big deal, but this way someone she didn't know...she instantly felt the blood rush to her face as she let go. Xander looked at her quizzically and she muttered and apology. This house was messing with her head.
9. Imogen admired the paintings as she walked down the corridor. This was far more incredible than she could have imagined, a house this size...such beauty, such precision. She smiled dreamily and noticed her nametag on a beautiful engraved door. She touched the handle and jumped slightly, something seemed so welcoming...so nice about the room. She shook her head and laughed as she opened the door, gasping at the contents inside. Just like the room she had when she stayed with her Aunt and Uncle, Imogen was in awe. They had owned a beautiful country cottage and she had gone to stay in the spring, playing in the fields outside. Imogen could even smell it, the scent of musty of knitted blankets and old scrapbooks. She had always loved the scrapbooks, she had filled at least six whilst staying with her relatives, she should collect them one day. It was as she dropped her bag to the floor that the room really began to sink in. It was exactly the way it had been...what was it...eight years ago now? The walls where the same light purple, small framed pressed flowers hung on the wall. The bed, in the right hand corner of the room, looked like it had only just been made...the way it always looked when she arrived. Even down to, "Scrapbooks?" Imogen gasped, dropping to her knees. She looked under the bed and indeed the scrapbooks were there, all of them, however, were empty. The first page of the one on top had the message 'To record you adventures...have fun.' Now Imogen was freaked. Who was this guy and how did he seem to know every little detail about her and her best memories. She would check out the rest of her room tonight, but now was for exploring. She left her jacket wearing a T-Shirt and jeans and closed her door, walking down the corridor in hopes of finding someone.
10. Sumiyaka sat at a bar; drink in hand with Senji opposite her. Something didn't feel right; something in her chest, in her heart was throbbing. It was painful. She looked to the other vampire, "What is it you wanted, Senji?" He looked down and took a sip from his drink before starting, "Lady Sumiyaka..." before he could finish the doors to the club burst open, a rushing wind flowing through to circle around Sumiyaka. It's voice, usually so calm and peaceful, was now urgent. 'Lady Sumiyaka! Kuroichi, he has been mortally wounded!' Sumiyaka's eyes grew wide, Senji, of course, could not hear the wind and had shielded his eyes from the flying debris it had caused, but soon it had gone, leaving Sumiyaka shocked and afraid, tears starting to drip from the corners of her eyes. "Senji...we must have this discussion later...my Kuro-kun...I must go." she grabbed her bag and sprinted for the door, running as fast as she could to the place where he was hurt. Whether it was re-awakened senses or the force of love, she didn't know, but Sumiyaka made quick time of her journey. She arrived at a decimated building site, rubble and blood everywhere. Bodies scattered around the ruins. She blanched but began to pick her way through the mess, scanning it for any sign of Kuroichi. Then she saw it, the shine of pure silver hair, dulled only slightly by dust. She went as fast as she could only to find Kuroichi lying under rubble. Her throat clenched and she done her best not to cry out, she managed "Kuroichi-sama!" He looked up and managed to pull himself from the rubble, nodding to Sumiyaka, "Daijoubu?" he smiled defiantly and held an arm out to hold Sumiyaka, only to drop to his knees, Sumiyaka cradling his head in her lap. Wind...find someone...anyone...we need help.
11. I want to dye my hair black, but my mum won't let me because she says that my skin is too pale, therefore I would end up looking ill. But at the moment I have very bright red hair. I re-dyed it after my old red was starting to fade, so before I got it re-done it was a sort of orangey-browny-red colour. I have naturally blond hair, it used to be quite light, I guess it's gotten darker now because of the lack of sun to bleach it naturally, but anyway. When I had long hair I dyed the ends blue, that went quite well until it started to fade and ended up going green. I've also put blond(er) streaks into my hair, which were quite nice. I also tried this really cheap home kit, which was supposed to be metallic blue, it looked awesome on the tube but ended up going silver?it also washed out in the rain the next day. (But it smelt like candy floss =D) But I'm going to grow this red out now as I re-grow my hair. I want to convince my mum to let me go dark purple, somehow I don't think she'll let me u_u; I have pictures somewhere...can't really be bothered to find them, though. By the way, GTK, your hair freaking rocks!
12. Imogen sat in front of her computer, sleep still eminent in her grey eyes. She yawned and brought the back of her hand to her mouth as her computer switched on. The log in screen opened and she typed in her username and password, shaking her head in a futile attempt to banish sleep from her mind. She hit the enter button and her desktop showed, the e-mail automatically starting itself up. One e-mail caught her attention, but she didn?t recognise the e-mail address. Her curiosity piqued, she clicked on it and quickly read through the contents. Hello, I?m writing to you, my friend, to congratulate you on winning an all expense paid trip to the coast of Scotland to live in my mansion for as long as you wish. Beware, this is no ordinary mansion mind you. Within the walls of my home, everything you ever wished for will be granted to you. And I mean....everything. All the deepest, darkest desires of your heart will be yours. Whatever pleasure you seek for yourself...will be granted to you. If you desire love, sex, money, drugs, food...all of life?s commodities will be yours. If you wish to accept this honor, please...simply reply back with a smile yes or no; and immediate transportation plans will be set in place for you to arrive. Upon arriving, there are three rules which you must obey while in my home. 1) You must obey your cards... 2) You must stay in the light... 3) You must never go into the Angelic Wing... That is all..,everything will be explained when you arrive...any questions that you have will not be with held from you prior to entering the mansion. You may be asking yourself...??why would I bother coming to a place such as this??? I?ll tell you why...if you play my little game...if you last living in the house, you will earn half of my family fortune, which comes to around thirteen billion dollars. I?m not joking, I?ve come to realize the worthlessness of money...so I?ve decided to give most of it away to the ones who I find to be worthy. And I will wait as long as it takes to find the right ones. So; whomever can stay within the house for six months, will be declared the winner...and the thirteen billion will be split between those who are left. But hear me...once you enter the mansion, you may not leave the grounds of the estate. So there you have it; come to my mansion...where all your dreams come true...and have the opportunity to win thirteen billion dollars. No strings attached...and believe me...it will be worth your while. Oh, one more thing...do not tell anyone of this, for we want to make this as smooth and without interruptions from the outside world. Don?t worry...we?ll know if you tell...which will automatically revoke your chances of coming to my mansion. As clarity for your honesty and silence...I have taken the liberty of electronically sending ten thousand dollars to your personal back account, as a token of my friendship too you. That is all I will tell you...once you reply back to this email...you will have an escort waiting outside your house within two days to bring you to the mansion. I have chosen you because I feel you to be worthy of such a reward; for your dedication to society, your love and compassion, your leadership, your strength through turmoil, and last but not least...for just who you are. Catch ya later... Sincerely, The Master of Games... She chuckled, 'Master of Games? Sounds interesting.' Against the better judgment that would have usually taken over, Imogen decided not to delete the e-mail and instead clicked Reply, by the time she had finished typing and sent it did she realise how silly it was. Dear Sir, Thank you for your e-mail; I'm not quite sure what to make of it. I guess if this is for real and not some silly prank, a little reply and a vacation can't hurt. Sincerely, Miss I Nesbitt Imogen rubbed her eyes and went about checking up on various other websites, the e-mail forgotten and pushed to he back of her mind. **** A black hold all was propped up next to the front door, Imogen had remembered late last night what she had agreed to do that morning and thought it best to be prepared. As she woke up and got into the shower, she wondered about what could happen to her if this was indeed something official. She stepped out and towelled her hair dry, slipping on some jeans and a sweatshirt. She didn't have to go far to get to Scotland, she wasn't even sure if she'd been to get a plane. No matter, she though, probably was just a silly joke mail. It was only when the doorbell rang that she realised how wrong she was. Imogen opened the door to see a finely dressed man, behind him on the narrow London street was a black Aston Martin. She stared and wondered why on Earth she'd need to be taken in such a fast car. The driver obviously noticed her stunned expression and smiled politely, "Sir has asked that you get to his estate as soon as possible, he knows how you favour this car and thought it best that you were driven there in style." Imogen nearly choked as the man stepped inside and took her bag, "My name is Stan, ma'am, it's a pleasure." he tipped his hat and walked to the car, pushing the bag into the boot. "If you would..." Stan opened the door and Imogen stepped in, her hands starting to shake. She couldn't believe that this was real, maybe she was still dreaming. The absolute roar of the engine assured her otherwise.
13. Lucian sat in an Internet cafe, old by the modern day standards that he had grown accustomed to. The sound of his feather light fingers dancing across the keyboard cheered him up greatly, the Tick Tick Tick was a sound he had grown up with, something he had practically been raised on. The young man brushed back some hair from his eyes with the back of his hand; the summer heat of Liverpool was starting to get to him in this stuffy room. He clicked a link and followed through to a web page advertising guitars and drum kits. He was considering buying one here, knowing that something form this time line would be worth a lot of money if he were to be shifted to another time in the future. His pay was good, but why ignore an easy pay out? He chuckled to himself and shook his head, closing the page down. He checked his mail and then his AIM Buddy list. A friend was online, one that he had met last night at Stamps, a bar that had a weekly band night and introduced new bands to the music scene. He had met the lead singer of one form the night before and the two of them hit it off great, Lucian had even been invited to one of their practices to see how the band were coming along. He smiled proudly at the fact that even after only being in this timeline of 2000 for one week, he had already become known to some younger musicians as a talent. But his personal gloating didn't last for long as a shrill 'BEEP BEEP BEEP!' sounded from his jeans pocket. It certainly had a habit of turning heads, Lucian himself had been foolish enough to whip his head around to see what the noise was, this after a whole month of being told 'If you ever hear this noise, return to TCD!'. he groaned and jumped up form the computer, pounding the Restart button before he sprinted from the cafe. He turned a corner and jumped over a small wall, hitting his bleepers button in mid air. He never touched the ground and within a few second he realised the mistake of porting during mid jump. He landed on someone, and by the tone of their swearing, they weren't happy. Lucian laughed nervously and rubbed the back of his head, "Sorry about that, mate. My mistake!" He left, quickly.
14. Name: Nin Juu Goldeneye Char Chosen: Ninja Background: Being the Ninja, Nin Juu has an obligation to be badass. He has to be serious, he has to be cold and most of all...he has to be cool. Unfortunately, he is none of these due to the awfully tight headband that Jimmy drew for him. Nin cannot remove this headband. His excuse is that it is a sign from the gods that he is a chosen Ninja. A warrior of skill. A fighter. Yes, he fights; his ***** slaps are a force to be reckoned with. Though the lack of oxygen in his bloodstream in the upper most part of his head affects his senses and balance somewhat. On off days, a tree becomes a deadly assassin. He suffers from splinters often and complains to no end. Basically, Nin Juu Goldeneye is the failed badass Ninja of mixed origins. We can only assume that Jimmy has an interest in James Bond, or maybe he just thought the name sounded cool. Whatever. Nin does his best to prove himself to all; he has a dream to defeat Vill Lun...though we can't see him succeeding on his own. Personality: Nin Juu is the attempted and failed badass character. While he may get lucky and execute some mad Ninja skill type moves, must of the time he just mucks them up. He blames his god-given headband, of course, but in reality he just doesn?t think before he acts. He may act serious and cold towards others, but he's a softie deep down. A softie who doesn't really want to fight and hurt people, he makes an exception for Vill Lun because of the amount of people he's hurt. If you need anything else in the way of detail, or any clarification, then just tell me. I love the idea of this, but you already know I worship your writing.
15. I spent most of my childhood days wanting to be a super hero, but there were times when I wanted to be a pirate...and a cowboy. (Not at the same time) I actually broke my tooth pretending to be a pirate. My dad had built me this massive climbing frame and I decided (quite stupidly) to put a stick in my mouth and jump off it. The stick was too long, hit the ground before I did and because of the leverage, literally snapped my tooth out. After that I have no memory of wanting to be a pirate, except after seeing pirates of the Caribbean last year.... but that was only under the condition that Jack Sparrow was my captain...*coughs* I went to a cowboy party, I owned a real cowboy hat and I want a new one. I love cowboys and I love country and western movies, I even used to have those little plastic sets of cowboys and Indians. But they were all green u_u damn cheap manufacturers. *shakes fist* I moved out of that phase and latched onto Power Rangers, and much like Queen Asuka, I wanted to be 'the Pink One'. Ah, memories.
16. Seriously, Doctors can't treat animals legally but vets can treat humans (if it was an emergency). My Careers teacher always tells us whenever someone says they want to be a vet. I'm not saying a vet would have humans in their waiting room to be treated for...whichever, but a vet would be able to treat a human if a doctor wasn't around in time, say a car accident or something. *shrugs* Maybe my teacher just says that to put people off wanting to be a doctor, he could secretly be supporting an underground cult of vets. ^_~
17. Thank you for all the sign ups, I was worried that I wouldn't have enough people. I'm going to leave this open a few more days so that people can finish their sign ups and maybe more will join. I'll post my sign up when I close this along with who's in and who isn't.
18. Name: Imogen Nesbitt Age: 23 Sex: Female Location: London, England Appearance: Imogen stands at a small 5'5'' with short red hair, grey green eyes and milky skin. She goes to the gym once a week, making sure that her figure is kept in the best possible condition, she isn't obviously strong but if need be, she can pack a very hard punch. Usually dressing in corduroy pants and t-shirts, she looks like a sixteen year old rather than a fully qualified adult. She's usually described as cute rather than pretty, it's something that annoys her to no end as most of the guys who?ve ever liked her have been at least 5 year younger than her. She always wears plastic bangles on her arms along with a pair of fingerless gloves that reach her elbows. Her clothing is pretty basic colour wise, most of them black, white or purple. Personality: Imogen likes friends and she likes family, but even since she was young she has preferred to be in her own company. She wasn?t shy, in fact, she was very confident but liked the quiet of her room so that she could draw or write. She keeps few friends close to her, but is always willing to go out if she?s invited, she?s generally a very well liked person. She has never had a boyfriend and has never shown a need to have one, though she does wish that she had someone to love and be loved. She?s nervous about going to the mansion, but more than ready to take on the challenge though she isn?t planning on making any friends. Bio: Imogen lived a normal childhood in her normal home in London, specifically, Hertfordshire. She always believed that her parents were happy and in love throughout her earlier years, it was only when she reached her teen years that she realised what had been going on in the marriage, gnawing away at her mother from the inside. her father was having an affair and her mother had kept it bottled up inside, until one day, after Imogen asked why her mother looked so angry, she yelled that she hated Imogen?s father. It shocked Imogen and it was after that that all the stories came out. She lost respect for her father and became closer to her mother. During that time she stopped concentrating on subjects like science and maths and instead concentrated on English and art, her best subjects. She later went to an art college and from there went on to be a very successful illustrator. She?s made a name for herself, also writing articles in magazines on occasion, but at the moment she is on a break and views going to the mansion an excellent opportunity to broaden her horizons with regards to other countries and cultures. Greatest Desire: Find somewhere where she can be truly happy, without all the stress of life. Greatest Fear: To be forgotten or hated by those she loves.
19. I actually like being mistaken for a guy, to quote MehrLicht from an AIM conversation after I signed up for an RP; 'Damn, you do better guy sign ups than most guys!!' I found it very funny, but I digress. It is a good idea to have this as an option, I don't believe that a lot of girls mind being considered male, but guys could find it highly offensive. Even though you could have it in your sig or custom title, having to put 'By the way, I'm actually a *insert gender here*' can...spoil the effect people are going for? Whatever, you know what I'm talking about. I say, go with Azure! The option to have the symbol next to the username or whatnot is a brilliant idea! Note: I actually managed to get 'I digress' into one of my posts. Score!
20. The plane bounced as it hit the runway, Sumiyaka rested her head back against her seat and smiled, closing her eyes. She loved the rush she got from a plane's landing and taking off, a new journey, a new adventure in those few seconds. Kuroichi kissed her shoulder lightly and she opened her eyes again, the setting sun glaring in through the half closed window. She squinted and shielded her eyes, smiling slightly at the man next to her. "Glad to be home?" "Usually, I would say yes. But on this occasion..." Kuroichi looked out of the window to see the other passengers filing out of the aircraft, waiting at the bottom of the steps for him. The Zugai walked out slowly, taking in the airport, small as it was. A hard shove from Chin caused the stragglers to stumble down the last few steps, Sumiyaka laughed as she stood and got her bag. "I don't think we should let any of them near too much alcohol, love." "Oh come now, let them have their fun. As long as they don't kill each other, it shouldn't be a problem." Kuroichi chuckled and kissed Sumiyaka's cheek, helping her with their bags as they climbed down the stairs leading into the airport. **** Sumiyaka shuffled along behind the large group of men that she had travelled with, Kuroichi at the front talking to the generals, while she struggled behind, her right arm buried deep into her bag. She slowed down even more as she struggled to find what she was looking for, hoping that she hadn't left it behind. Eventually she stopped, standing back to search properly. Eventually she found it, a pendant that she had foolishly allowed to be thrown into the bottom of her shoulder bag. It was important, Dusk had given it to her when they had first met, and it was a sign of their friendship. She smiled and ran her thumb over the jewel in the centre, hoping that he was okay...wherever he was. By the time she had fastened the chain around her neck, Kuroichi and the others were gone. She winced and scolded herself mentally, throwing her bag over her shoulder. "Idiot..." The streets weren't terribly busy; the area she was in was relatively up market, which gave Sumiyaka great relief, as she did not want to be confronted by muggers on her very first night in Japan. It was after thirty minutes of walking that she realised she was lost. Utterly and hopelessly lost. She cursed again, Kuroichi wouldn't be happy about having to come and rescue her. OOC I'm making a point here. Sumiyaka has been relying on Kuroichi too much since they got together and is loosing her touch. Silly girl.
21. I loved this chapter! You've put a serious twist to the story and it's absolutely awesome! I almost missed the fact that I was in the last couple of chapters, but I can see that calling me Jamie is a lot easier than Methuselah XD I really look forward to the next chapter, excellent stuff.
22. People I would take because I get on with them even though they're probably useless; Alan I don't know how useful Alan would be if we really were stranded on a desert island, but it would sure as hell be a good time! I'd rather go out laughing with tights made out of coconut hair than last for weeks before eventually dieing from malaria or cholera. Reise We get on wonderfully and neither of us would ever consider eating the others leg even once. (At least I don't think so.) We'd probably figure out how to make a shelter and find food, but after that would be screwed. At least we'd find a lot to talk about. JJRiddler We can make conversation out of anything, so I wouldn't be going insane from lack of human contact/communication. We'd write stories to pass the time, but all that talk of zombies would most probably drive us to cannibalism. Hm, maybe that wouldn't be such a happy situation. People I'd like to be with, but probably would end up throttling with an eel; Unborn Lord Xion Yes, I love him to bits. But being on an Island with him for God knows how long? No thank you, I'd rather drown myself. We'd nag each other, berate each other for entertainment, or end up screwing like bunnies. While it may be entertaining for the first two days, the third would see one of us attempting to swim to the nearest inhabited landmass. People I'd want to be stranded with because they'd actually be useful; Panda Because vets can treat humans, but doctors can't treat animals. Panda is a fountain of knowledge and she just seems like one of those people who would be prepared for anything, both practically and mentally. Plus we do actually get along pretty well. desertranger/lcrisler Like Baron said, these guys are trained people who would know what to do and would actually get me out alive. I don't know either of them, sadly, I'm sure they're pretty interesting guys.
23. The sound of feet quickly moving across the pavement, coupled with the murmur of voices was the music of New York City. A young woman in her twenties with shoulder length red hair, an arm full of shopping and a seven year old daughter seemingly attached to her hand tried her best to weave her way through the crowd of business men and school children heading to their Monday morning destinations. She shifted the bag and squeezed her daughter?s hand, looking down to smile at her. The gesture was returned and the seven year old skipped ahead, tugging on her tired mother?s hand to hurry up. The woman laughed and just managed to dodge a man in a black suit, unfortunately, she didn?t see the man that followed. Her daughter?s squeak and the sound of cans clattering onto the pavement caused the people around to stop and turn, only to see the relatively boring site of a woman knocked over on the floor, rubbing her side. The man who she had walked into quickly pulled the headphones from his ears and knelt down to pick up her shopping, ?I?m so sorry, I wasn?t watching.? He said, shaking his head slightly as he picked cucumber off the pavement. The woman shook her head and brushed herself off, ?It wasn?t your fault, I should have taken notice of where I was going.? She stood and took the man?s hand, looking at his face for the first time. He smiled at her and bowed his head slightly, and she blushed, her daughter now tugging at her belt. ?Chris.? She shook the man?s hand as she introduced herself, he nodded again. ?Nice to meet you Chris, my na-? ?Mummy! We have to go, I?ll be late for school!? Chris? daughter piped up and tugged more urgently at her mother?s belt, Chris looked at her watch and groaned, patting the man on the shoulder. ?Sorry about earlier, thank you for helping me.? She grasped what little shopping she had managed to salvage and took off, jogging along with her daughter. ?You?re welcome?? **** They say that if you see a stranger three times it?s destiny. Christine Tory felt that was her last hope. A failed relationship resulting in a daughter and limited finances had messed her up for the last year. She was only just getting her life back together with a stable job, a nice apartment, and a good school for her daughter. All she needed now was someone to spend that good life with. When she saw him today she felt something spark, that spark hadn?t happened in a long time and Chris knew that she had to see him again, even if it resulted in nothing more than a friendship. As her daughter kissed her goodnight, Chris tucked her into bed and left to switch on the TV. News stories of murder, terrorism and horror were all over the channels, it made her wonder, what has happened to love? **** I haven?t done a romance in a while, so live with it! I was inspired by a long conversation with my mother about my childhood, so here we have a twenty-something year old woman falling in love with a clumsy stranger. I find the concept very romantic. Everyone will tie into this, the characters will either be friends with Christine (who I?m playing), teachers at her daughters school, friends of ????? etc. Not much in the way of requirements, just the usual; Name: Age: No less than 25 Gender: Appearance: Occupation: Personality: Bio: Doesn?t have to be long at all. I do need someone to play ?Mr. X?, apart from that, go wild with characters. (Well?not too wild, this is modern day New York ^_~)
24. I'd like to start this and I'm glad that those who singed up are interested, but at the moment I don't have enough people signed up. I'll just sit and hope that enough join...eventually, heh. cheese master, I suggest that you seriously work on your post quality, it's not good enough for the standard I'd like in this RP, sorry.
25. I saw this trailer when I went to see Ocean's Twelve (which sucked, by the way) and found that I had enjoyed watching that trailer more than the movie I paid to see. I really cannot wait for this to start, I love anything to do with angels/demons or religion and Keanu Reeves is uber hot in this movie. =P It looks like a totally awesome concept, I can't wait until it finally comes out.
